House Arrest - When Trudeau refused to revoke the Emergencies Act

00:00:00.000 And so after he invoked the Emergencies Act and the streets were cleared, I walked to work that

00:00:07.200 morning on Wellington. It was about 6.57. I've shared the video on my Facebook. And the streets

00:00:12.460 were completely clear. Completely clear. And he was having a press conference that day at 10 or 11

00:00:19.440 a.m. And I was like, oh, he's going to revoke it. He's going to pull it back. And I remember saying

00:00:26.480 to my colleagues, conservative colleagues, I said, Oh, this is great. He's having a press

00:00:30.140 conference. He's going to revoke the emergencies act. He's going to say, we're all good. Like,

00:00:34.060 let's, let's move forward. Right. And they looked at me and they went, Michelle, you have no idea

00:00:41.420 who this man is. And I said, what are you talking about? I said, he will not revoke it. I said,

00:00:46.440 there's no trucks on the street. They're all gone. They said, it doesn't matter. And I didn't

00:00:52.260 believe them. And I'll never forget standing in the lobby. And I'm watching him. So I'm watching

00:00:58.120 him on a screen. And he's probably like 50 feet from me in the lobby doing the press conference.

00:01:03.700 Right. And the reporter says, Are you going to revoke the Emergencies Act now that the trucks

00:01:08.620 are all gone? And he goes, No, in fact, we might re implement it. Wow. And that Tamara and Chris,

00:01:18.840 for me was like, holy shit. 0.99
