00:00:00.000 Are you a racist because you want manufacturing in the United States and not in China?
00:00:05.140 Well, apparently the Cato Institute thinks so.
00:00:07.060 We're going to talk about that a little bit today.
00:00:09.720 But I want to also remind you that America Fest is coming December 17th to 20th, Phoenix,
00:00:15.240 Arizona.
00:00:15.800 Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, myself.
00:00:18.520 Make sure you go there.

00:00:24.600 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard tonight's edition of Human Events Daily,
00:00:28.160 powered by Turning Point USA.
00:00:29.420 Today's top headlines.
00:00:32.060 The Cato Institute has come out with a speaker saying that domestic manufacturing is a racist
00:00:38.220 fetish.
00:00:39.360 OK, next, never Trump.
00:00:41.460 Senator Ben Sasse has abruptly resigned.
00:00:45.680 He's leaving the state going for Florida.
00:00:47.120 Third, New York state judge has struck down Governor Hochul's Second Amendment violating
00:00:52.400 law.
00:00:52.940 Thank God.
00:00:53.940 And finally, David Dorn's murderer has been sentenced to life in prison.
00:00:58.060 All this and more ahead, Human Events Daily.
00:00:59.820 The fetish for manufacturing is part of the general fetish for keeping white males of low
00:01:15.320 education outside the cities in the powerful positions they're in in the U.S.
00:01:21.400 And that is really what's going on here.
00:01:27.040 But when I look at the so-called costs of the China shock or the costs of the decline in
00:01:31.620 manufacturing, I always think compared to what?
00:01:34.680 For decades, there was enormous displacement of African-Americans in this economy.
00:01:41.640 Every time there was a recession, African-American unemployment rates shot up much faster and higher
00:01:47.400 than white unemployment rates.
00:01:48.940 Single women were methodically excluded from the workforce, especially if they became parents or ghettoed in particular sets of jobs.
00:01:58.900 And these kinds of churn, as the economists put it, never were decried.
00:02:03.880 They never got political attention.
00:02:06.240 They never got much notice.
00:02:08.160 But when it started being the white male manufacturing people in the so-called heartland, which by definition was not urban, then suddenly this was a crisis.
00:02:19.900 So listen to this guy.
00:02:23.760 It's very clear what's going on here.
00:02:26.260 They hate you.
00:02:27.480 They want you and your family to suffer so that they can get richer and richer and richer.
00:02:39.660 And you notice that he's the one that makes this about race.
00:02:43.820 He specifically says white working class males, white working class men.
00:02:52.860 Why is it that this has anything to do with that?
00:02:55.920 Why is it that this guy, what's his name?
00:02:59.800 Poser?
00:03:00.720 His name is Poser.
00:03:03.480 Adam Poser.
00:03:04.920 Okay.
00:03:05.960 Speaking at the Cato Institute.
00:03:07.360 And nobody up there gets up to debate him.
00:03:10.500 And if someone can find me a longer clip, by the way, and someone comes up and says,
00:03:14.380 hey, actually, you know, we did strenuously disagree with this guy.
00:03:17.180 All right, fine.
00:03:17.960 But he feels perfectly comfortable with speaking this way about a group of people in this country
00:03:26.780 that works hard, that loves their families, that just wants a better life for themselves
00:03:34.780 and their children.
00:03:36.020 And by the way, the decline of manufacturing, that's not rural, you idiot.
00:03:43.100 He's not even telling the truth, by the way.
00:03:44.900 You think Detroit is a rural area?
00:03:47.980 Numbskull?
00:03:48.680 No, it's not.
00:03:49.820 These are cities.
00:03:50.900 You think Pittsburgh is a rural area?
00:03:53.260 No, it's not.
00:03:54.040 There's a reason they call it the rust belt, dummy, because that's the cities that are now
00:04:00.460 rusted out where we used to have steel, where we used to have manufacturing in the United
00:04:05.040 States of America.
00:04:06.680 But I want to be very clear about this, because this guy's not hiding it.
00:04:12.440 He's not lying.
00:04:13.360 This isn't the Great Reset.
00:04:14.440 This isn't some conspiracy.
00:04:16.640 You know, this isn't something you're talking about behind closed doors.
00:04:19.400 He's in your face.
00:04:21.320 He's telling you what he's doing.
00:04:23.880 You are the target.
00:04:25.740 You.
00:04:27.020 You will become poor.
00:04:28.680 You will not be able to generate wealth formation.
00:04:33.180 You will not be able to own a home.
00:04:35.420 Your wages will go down, because I guarantee you the same guy, Adam Poser, also says, for
00:04:41.180 various other reasons, that we should have mass immigration spilling across our border,
00:04:46.200 creating a deflationary spiral of low wages, because that will constantly keep your wages
00:04:51.880 low if you always have that competition for low wage jobs.
00:04:56.080 What does it mean?
00:04:56.800 That means the working class is kept perpetually poor.
00:05:00.700 It's by design.
00:05:02.200 And then, oh, by the way, if your wages are low, you can't afford to buy a home.
00:05:06.140 You're not buying a home, so you're not having kids.
00:05:08.340 You're not having a lot of kids, certainly.
00:05:10.060 You are kept in this spiral.
00:05:13.040 All so that Adam Poser and the Adam Posers of the world can buy new yachts and buy new mansions
00:05:20.820 and buy everything else that they want to buy.
00:05:23.160 He says he's working with China.
00:05:26.840 He knows he's working with China.
00:05:29.140 They know everything.
00:05:31.000 People say, the experts, oh, the experts were wrong.
00:05:33.580 The experts were wrong.
00:05:34.440 The experts were wrong.
00:05:34.880 No, the experts weren't wrong.
00:05:36.260 The experts lied.
00:05:38.120 There's a big difference.
00:05:39.700 There's a big, big difference between the experts being wrong and the experts knowing exactly
00:05:47.060 what they were doing all along.
00:05:49.380 And so people like Adam Poser here, pretending to be woke.
00:05:54.580 I love how he tries to be all woke about it.
00:05:56.160 He'd say, wow, think about the black men and the women.
00:06:00.180 Shut up.
00:06:01.520 Shut up.
00:06:03.660 These people.
00:06:05.880 First of all, do you think the only people in this country that are working class are white?
00:06:10.840 This is not even true.
00:06:12.360 Obviously not true.
00:06:14.060 Those jobs would be available to everyone, anybody who wanted to work.
00:06:18.360 So that's black families.
00:06:20.460 That's Hispanic families.
00:06:21.900 And I'll tell you something right now.
00:06:23.140 Those are the exact type of people that are now looking at the conservatives and the new
00:06:27.780 right and saying, you know what?
00:06:29.240 These guys actually seem like they care.
00:06:31.200 Those guys don't.
00:06:35.320 I'll tell you right now, the way that my family buys our meat, our burgers, our steaks,
00:06:40.620 it's through Good Ranchers.
00:06:41.660 It's amazing.
00:06:42.360 It's so easy because Good Ranchers is 100% American meat and they deliver it straight to
00:06:46.820 my door, the Poso door for a great price.
00:06:49.700 Good Ranchers solves all those, all the guesswork.
00:06:52.200 It gets it right out.

00:07:09.040 breasts.

00:07:27.460 Link in the description.
00:07:28.220 The way he kisses dictators' butts.
00:07:31.960 I mean, the way he ignores that the Uyghurs are in literal concentration camps in Xinjiang
00:07:37.560 right now.
00:07:38.140 He hasn't lifted a finger on behalf of the Hong Kongers.
00:07:41.280 I mean, he and I have a very different foreign policy.
00:07:43.680 It isn't just that he fails to lead our allies.
00:07:45.860 It's that we, the United States now regularly sells out our allies under his leadership.
00:07:50.240 The way he treats women and spends like a drunken sailor.
00:07:53.960 The ways I criticize President Obama for that kind of spending.
00:07:56.780 I've criticized President Trump for as well.
00:07:58.740 He mocks evangelicals behind closed doors.
00:08:02.060 His family has treated the presidency like a business opportunity.
00:08:05.980 He's flirted with white supremacists.
00:08:07.860 This absolutely insane individual, and I don't have to call him senator anymore because he
00:08:15.620 ain't one, Ben Sasse has resigned.
00:08:19.640 And I'm going to say the word that the media won't.
00:08:23.420 He's resigned in disgrace.
00:08:25.200 He resigned.
00:08:27.160 What kind of a man resigns halfway through a term after you've raised up your hand and
00:08:33.520 you said that you were going to represent the people of your state, in this case, the state
00:08:37.560 of Nebraska.
00:08:38.100 Halfway through your term, you leave.
00:08:42.460 Why did you even run, Ben Sasse?
00:08:45.200 Why did you even bother?
00:08:46.280 You fled the state, too, by the way.
00:08:48.540 This is another guy who comes out of the same camp.
00:08:51.620 Super never Trump, by the way.
00:08:53.060 But the same camp as Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney.
00:08:57.520 Paul Ryan.
00:08:58.380 Here's a little story about Paul Ryan that I don't think people realize this.
00:09:01.560 Do you know what district Paul Ryan represented for 20 years in Congress?
00:09:10.140 It was Wisconsin one.
00:09:11.940 What town was in that district?
00:09:14.200 Any guesses?
00:09:16.120 Send us your guesses at liberty at tpoza.com.
00:09:19.160 He represented Kenosha, Wisconsin.
00:09:24.880 Kenosha, Wisconsin, which was burning for three days and three nights before Kyle Rittenhouse
00:09:33.020 entered the scene.
00:09:36.080 That was Paul Ryan's district.
00:09:37.620 He didn't care about those people.
00:09:39.300 He left them in the dirt.
00:09:42.060 He left them in his wake.
00:09:43.760 He left them and he moved on.
00:09:45.760 And that's exactly what Ben Sasse is doing now.
00:09:49.080 You know, Ben Sasse, I actually have a little bit of a story with him because I, a couple
00:09:53.680 of years ago, happened to run into him on the Hill.
00:09:56.260 And I said, I said, oh, Senator, you know, hey, you know, big fan, blah, blah, blah.
00:10:01.420 Would you, you know, would you like to take a photo or take a selfie or something?
00:10:04.820 Say, yeah, sure, sure.
00:10:05.640 What's your name?
00:10:06.000 So I was Jack Posobiec.
00:10:06.820 He goes, oh, I know you.
00:10:08.760 I know you.
00:10:09.660 I don't like you.
00:10:10.900 You're bad.
00:10:11.980 You're a bad person.
00:10:12.700 You're bad for democracy.
00:10:14.980 He actually said that to me.
00:10:15.980 So Ben Sasse said I was bad for democracy.
00:10:18.560 And then he ran, literally ran away across the street.
00:10:21.320 We were basically like an intersection, ran across the street and then went in to vote
00:10:26.240 at some hearing.
00:10:27.300 And I'm sitting there going, dude, it was it was just a picture.
00:10:30.540 Like what would have been funny?
00:10:32.320 That's really all.
00:10:34.100 You know, I was very polite to you.
00:10:35.820 So this guy is a man child.
00:10:38.680 And you've seen so many of these people doing this for years in a conservative movement.
00:10:43.880 They say they're going to run.
00:10:45.140 They say they're going to get elected.
00:10:46.220 They say they're going to do anything.
00:10:47.320 What did he do while he was in Senate?
00:10:49.880 Ben Sasse for the rest of his life will now be known that the only thing that he used his
00:10:55.500 Senate seat for was to enrich himself and to further his own career.
00:11:00.080 He wrote two books while he was in there, couldn't even serve two terms, but he wrote
00:11:05.320 two books and he went on two full nationwide book tours with them.
00:11:09.740 This is a guy who has been part of that Never Trump movement and it exposes how shallow they
00:11:15.880 are.
00:11:16.320 It exposes how elitist they are, how little they actually care about you.
00:11:24.000 Now, I spoke to some Nevada insiders or excuse me, Nebraska insiders about this last night.
00:11:28.680 And I said, okay, what do you think is going to happen then?
00:11:31.100 So halfway through the term, Governor Ricketts is on his way out.
00:11:34.740 He's term limited, but there's a guy named Pillen who's on his way in.
00:11:37.980 That was Ricketts endorsed candidate going through the primary.
00:11:41.040 He looks like he's going to win.
00:11:42.700 So what's going to happen is Ricketts going to make the choice or will they wait?
00:11:46.640 And will it be Pillen who makes the choice?
00:11:48.120 Because now you appoint someone for the next two, basically two and a half years.
00:11:51.560 What they said to me is all the money is on the idea that Ricketts will serve out his
00:11:57.680 term, Pillen wins.
00:12:00.140 Then Pillen becomes governor and appoints Ricketts to the Senate seat.
00:12:06.500 Nice work if you can get it.
00:12:08.740 You know, the Ricketts family, TD Ameritrade money, owners of the Chicago Cubs, big, big
00:12:14.260 money.
00:12:14.880 What can I say, folks?
00:12:15.880 It's a big club and you are not in it.
00:12:20.700 But people like Ben Sasse, they're in it and they go off to college.
00:12:24.940 They go off to be some professor and they never actually cared about you.
00:12:32.760 Today, the Supreme Court struck down a New York law that limits who can carry concealed
00:12:36.980 weapons.
00:12:38.520 Does everyone understand what a concealed weapon means?
00:12:42.260 That you have no forewarning, that someone can hide a weapon on them and go into our subways,
00:12:48.260 go into our grocery stores like stores up in Buffalo, New York, where I'm from, go into
00:12:53.480 a school in Parkland or Uvalde.
00:12:55.980 This decision isn't just reckless, it's reprehensible.
00:12:59.920 It's not what New Yorkers want.
00:13:02.340 And we should have the right of determination of what we want to do in terms of our gun laws
00:13:08.660 in our state.
00:13:09.540 If the federal government will not have sweeping laws to protect us, then our states and our
00:13:14.780 governors have a moral responsibility to do what we can and have laws that protect our
00:13:20.940 citizens because of what is going on.
00:13:23.740 The insanity of the gun culture that has now possessed everyone all the way up to even
00:13:29.020 to the Supreme Court.
00:13:30.660 You know, it's kind of amazing that an unelected governor wants to talk about what the people
00:13:36.240 of New York want, because how many people actually voted for Kathy Hoca?
00:13:39.420 Oh, that's right.
00:13:39.900 No one.
00:13:40.800 Because you weren't elected.
00:13:42.500 Right.
00:13:42.960 You were appointed.
00:13:43.960 You were selected as governor.
00:13:45.840 You probably one of the people, by the way, who pushed out your former governor.
00:13:50.380 But of course, we don't talk about that.
00:13:52.060 But here's the issue.
00:13:53.320 Here's what Kathy Hochul won't tell you.
00:13:56.920 She won't tell you the simple fact.
00:14:00.100 She's the one who's calling for the government to emplace more restrictions on the freedoms
00:14:06.280 of people.
00:14:07.720 Here's what the judge wrote.
00:14:08.760 The judge wrote Judge Glenn T.
00:14:12.680 Studeby, who, by the way, is himself a New Yorker.
00:14:17.560 He wrote, we are creating a sensitive list, et cetera, et cetera.
00:14:21.480 Default rule.
00:14:22.460 The judge's ruling is simply this.
00:14:25.540 The people of New York.
00:14:29.020 Have the ability to defend themselves and they don't have to go to the likes of Kathy Hochul.
00:14:35.920 To have to prove it, you have an inherent right to self-defense and you have an inherent
00:14:41.980 right that doesn't come from government.
00:14:44.200 OK, we're going back to one on one here doesn't come from the government.
00:14:47.520 You have a right that's given to you by God.
00:14:50.480 Our founding fathers called these natural rights.
00:14:52.560 And the idea was that government existed in order to preserve and protect your natural
00:15:00.040 rights.
00:15:00.480 One of those, obviously, the right to defend yourself against bodily harm, against theft
00:15:08.840 or to defend your family or defend others.
00:15:13.660 The right to own a gun is not the right to kill people.
00:15:17.960 It's the right of self-defense.
00:15:19.820 And it's actually the inverse of the right to life.
00:15:22.400 So if you're a pro-lifer, that means you want to defend life, right?
00:15:28.900 Well, so the right to self-defense is the action of the right to life.
00:15:36.380 It is the inverse of the right to life, because what you're doing is you're putting that into
00:15:40.280 practice.
00:15:41.940 You're actually saying now, I must take steps in order to defend that life or else you don't
00:15:50.220 have it, right?
00:15:50.820 You have no right to life whatsoever.
00:15:53.180 It's, you know, something written on paper.
00:15:54.820 It doesn't actually mean anything.
00:15:55.900 It has no actionable use whatsoever.
00:15:59.700 And this is what came up in the Kyle Rittenhouse case, because you're seeing this now more and
00:16:03.420 more throughout our government and throughout, even if you look at what the prosecutor, this
00:16:09.660 guy Binger, was saying in the Kyle Rittenhouse case coming up on the about 11 months from the,
00:16:15.000 you know, from when it actually happened, almost to the one year anniversary of this.
00:16:18.100 And he was saying, but Kyle, didn't you say this?
00:16:20.940 And didn't you say that?
00:16:22.100 And Kyle, didn't you play call of duty?
00:16:24.060 And didn't you do all of those things?
00:16:26.320 And you hear her talking about this.
00:16:27.940 You hear Hochul making an echoing many of those same arguments that were made by Thomas
00:16:33.580 Binger in that case.
00:16:34.780 What is this?
00:16:35.960 Because they don't believe in the right to self-defense.
00:16:39.120 They don't want you to be able to defend yourselves.
00:16:42.740 They want you to be unarmed.
00:16:45.320 They want you stripped of your guns.
00:16:49.340 They would come if people like Kathy Hochul had full power, which is what they want.
00:16:54.000 Mark my words.
00:16:55.140 They would come into your homes, take all of your guns and leave you defenseless and say,
00:16:59.440 oh, don't worry.
00:17:00.380 The police will get to that when they can.
00:17:04.220 And so look at the state that she's governing right now.
00:17:08.860 Look at New York City.
00:17:10.120 You want to talk about Buffalo?
00:17:11.540 You want to talk New York?
00:17:12.480 Look, you want to talk who's making it unsafe right now?
00:17:16.420 Governor, unelected governor.
00:17:19.240 It's not the concealed carry owners.
00:17:22.200 It's not the NRA members.
00:17:24.860 It's criminals.
00:17:26.360 It's rank criminals throughout your state that you are not doing the right job of putting in jail.
00:17:33.000 Whenever the shop's alarm would go off, the alarm company called Dave.
00:17:41.000 He would investigate.
00:17:42.660 If he got a call after I went to bed, he would wake me up and tell me he was going to Lee's just to make sure everything was all right.
00:17:51.100 Most of the time, they were false alarms triggered by a storm or animals.
00:17:55.140 The alarm that went off the morning of June 2nd was for real.
00:18:00.900 It was a violent night in St. Louis.
00:18:05.040 Four officers were shot.
00:18:07.180 Others were hit with rocks and fireworks.
00:18:09.400 After I'd gone to bed, David received a call from Lee's Alarm Company.
00:18:13.540 The front door of the pawn shop had been breached.
00:18:17.860 This time, he didn't wake me up to tell me.
00:18:21.180 As I slept, looters were ransacking the shop.
00:18:25.760 They shot and killed David in cold blood.
00:18:28.920 And then live-streamed his execution and his last moments on Earth.
00:18:33.680 David's grandson was watching the video on Facebook in real time, not realizing he was watching his own grandfather dying on the sidewalk.
00:18:46.620 That was Ann Dorn telling a story.
00:18:50.160 And he was murdered on June 2nd, 2020.
00:18:58.220 Retired police captain in St. Louis.
00:19:03.680 The man who shot him was named Stephen Cannon out of Missouri.
00:19:08.320 He was arrested.
00:19:10.000 He's been convicted.
00:19:11.500 And as of today, we can say that he was given life in prison.
00:19:15.480 And the prosecutors made a point to say that that was the maximum allowable punishment by law.
00:19:26.260 I'm going to say something right now.
00:19:28.480 It's a lot better than he deserves.
00:19:30.060 It's a lot better than this scumbag deserves.
00:19:35.820 He went in there and shot David Dorn over a TV set.
00:19:41.800 A TV set.
00:19:43.860 This was a man who lived his entire life in terms of service.
00:19:48.060 And when I started covering the story in 2020, I said, we got to do something for this family.
00:19:56.220 So we launched a crowd fund and we were able to raise almost half a million dollars for David Dorn's family.
00:20:04.780 Transferred it over.
00:20:05.780 But it's never enough.
00:20:10.300 It's it's it's it's meaningless compared to actually having someone there.
00:20:14.660 Someone who and every person I talked to because I talked to other police officers, folks who knew him, folks who served with him.
00:20:23.620 Everybody loved David.
00:20:24.720 They said he was a leader.
00:20:26.780 In fact, they even said that he tried to do everything he could, that when he met people in his community, that he would try to help them, that he would try to get them off the streets.
00:20:41.000 Volunteering, being a community leader, even helped get people into the police force to be able to give back to their communities.
00:20:49.160 That's the kind of man David Dorn was.
00:20:52.620 That's the kind of American that we should be doing everything we can to support.
00:20:57.920 But instead, in this country, we decide to demonize our police officers and allow criminals to brutalize them.
00:21:06.340 And so while this guy is going to life for prison, which is far, far better than he ever deserved and far, far more than he ever gave to David Dorn that night.
00:21:19.160 We need to take a strong look at ourselves and decide what kind of society do we want to be.
00:21:26.640 How do we want to treat our public servants?
00:21:29.380 How do we want to show respect to people who put their lives on the line for us?
00:21:35.300 And that's all the time we have tonight here at Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.
00:21:41.740 Remember, as always, our promise, our oath, our solemn vow to you.

00:22:10.760 A New York judge striking down Governor Hochul's Second Amendment, which violated the law.
00:22:16.460 And finally, David Dorn's murderer sentenced to life in prison far, far more than he deserves.
