00:00:52.920 Let's get into it.
00:00:59.120 And let there be no doubt,
00:01:05.840 the commitment of the United States to our NATO alliance
00:01:08.980 and Article 5 is rock solid.
00:01:11.940 And every member of NATO knows it.
00:01:17.120 And Russia knows it as well.
00:01:20.400 An attack against one is attack against all.
00:01:23.620 It's a sacred oath.
00:01:26.680 A sacred oath to defend every inch of NATO territory.
00:01:31.320 In 2015, they attempted again to directly attack Donbass.
00:01:39.780 They continued shelling terror in relation to citizens.
00:01:44.340 All of this was completely against the documents
00:01:49.660 that were accepted by the United Nations Security Council.
00:01:54.500 I would like to repeat, they started the war.
00:02:00.580 And we used the force in order to stop it.
00:02:05.640 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition
00:02:08.000 of Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA.
00:02:11.380 Today is February 21st, 2023, Anno Domini.
00:02:16.880 You saw two speeches there.
00:02:19.100 And we have a tale of two speeches today.
00:02:21.580 One in Warsaw, one in Moscow.
00:02:27.260 One by President Joe Biden.
00:02:31.080 And one by Vladimir Putin.
00:02:36.200 We are three days away as we sit now
00:02:38.900 from the one-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine.
00:02:43.600 A war which could have been over in one month
00:02:45.980 if the peace deal had been allowed to be signed
00:02:49.800 that Putin and Zelensky had agreed to
00:02:52.880 before Biden and Boris Johnson got involved
00:02:58.760 and scrapped the entire thing.
00:02:59.940 Remember, Naftali Bennett, the Prime Minister of Israel,
00:03:02.320 explained this to us.
00:03:04.060 That peace was on the table
00:03:06.040 and that it was Joe Biden and Boris Johnson
00:03:10.220 who shot it down
00:03:11.940 and then several months later
00:03:15.540 committed the destruction
00:03:17.320 of the Nord Stream pipelines.
00:03:20.720 And I don't believe for a second, by the way,
00:03:23.380 that the United Kingdom
00:03:24.320 wasn't involved in that.
00:03:29.500 So where do we see things now?
00:03:30.840 Where do things sit
00:03:31.500 here on the one-year anniversary?
00:03:33.540 Well, let's take a look.
00:03:34.860 Joe Biden is there
00:03:35.780 screaming his head off,
00:03:38.020 pointing his finger,
00:03:39.120 angrily,
00:03:40.800 scolding,
00:03:41.680 yelling,
00:03:42.280 defiant,
00:03:45.140 aggressive.
00:03:48.960 What kind of response
00:03:50.040 do you think has happened?
00:03:50.920 What kind of response
00:03:52.300 do you think
00:03:52.960 that has elicited
00:03:54.200 for the world?
00:03:57.060 Because we are in this together,
00:03:58.720 like it or not.
00:04:01.320 You may have
00:04:02.520 a pathological obsession
00:04:04.320 with Russia
00:04:05.380 like Biden does.
00:04:06.900 Biden clearly does.
00:04:09.120 And people who lived
00:04:10.420 through two generations
00:04:11.920 of social conditioning
00:04:13.640 during the Cold War era,
00:04:15.960 that Russia is the evil enemy
00:04:18.220 and they must be destroyed
00:04:19.320 at all costs,
00:04:20.300 are now running our country.
00:04:22.780 And so instead
00:04:23.820 of remembering
00:04:25.040 the actual lessons
00:04:26.360 of the Cold War,
00:04:28.440 that you don't want
00:04:30.180 to go to war
00:04:31.340 with a nuclear power
00:04:34.020 that has more nuclear warheads
00:04:36.500 than you,
00:04:37.460 instead,
00:04:40.100 they continue
00:04:41.140 the provocation
00:04:42.380 and they never once
00:04:44.260 go listen to every single word
00:04:46.460 of Joe Biden's speech.
00:04:47.340 I have.
00:04:48.840 He doesn't speak of peace.
00:04:50.700 He doesn't care about peace.
00:04:52.320 He doesn't care about
00:04:53.180 the innocent people,
00:04:53.960 the families that are caught up
00:04:54.920 in the fighting.
00:04:56.080 He doesn't care about
00:04:57.380 the sons and daughters
00:04:59.200 who will never return home.
00:05:01.780 He doesn't care
00:05:02.620 because for Joe Biden,
00:05:04.880 this isn't about
00:05:05.480 defending freedom.
00:05:07.100 This is about defending
00:05:08.620 the eastern reaches
00:05:11.060 of the globalist
00:05:12.620 American empire.
00:05:14.360 And once you understand
00:05:16.160 that he is the avatar
00:05:18.860 of the globalist
00:05:20.180 American empire
00:05:20.940 and is seeking
00:05:23.080 to expand its borders,
00:05:24.600 then it all fits
00:05:27.420 into place.
00:05:29.320 What's been the response?
00:05:31.820 Well, it turns out
00:05:33.020 that Russia doesn't want
00:05:34.860 an empire on its borders.
00:05:37.720 Who could have predicted that?
00:05:39.080 So in Putin's speech today,
00:05:42.320 he announced he's suspending
00:05:44.500 the final nuclear treaty
00:05:46.320 between the U.S. and Russia,
00:05:48.260 the New START treaty.
00:05:49.260 That's out the window.
00:05:51.180 He's announced
00:05:52.000 that it was the West,
00:05:53.860 actually,
00:05:54.780 who started and provoked the war.
00:05:57.020 And he has put
00:05:58.380 his long-range
00:06:00.360 nuclear warheads
00:06:02.220 on combat readiness.
00:06:06.380 He's firing up the nukes.
00:06:09.080 He's making sure
00:06:10.500 that the world understands
00:06:12.500 that he is not backing down.
00:06:15.700 And he is making sure
00:06:17.020 that the world understands
00:06:17.920 that this isn't Saddam Hussein.
00:06:20.620 This isn't the Taliban.
00:06:22.120 This isn't Gaddafi.
00:06:23.580 This isn't Assad.
00:06:27.180 You see,
00:06:28.060 what Russia has
00:06:29.040 not in common,
00:06:31.500 what Russia doesn't have
00:06:32.280 in common with those countries,
00:06:33.980 because, yes,
00:06:34.900 the U.S. did go into Iraq
00:06:36.440 almost unilaterally.
00:06:37.860 The West went in unilaterally.
00:06:39.080 You can say it that way.
00:06:40.180 And knocked over Saddam.
00:06:41.360 The West went into
00:06:42.240 knocked over Gaddafi in Libya.
00:06:45.360 Tried to do this in Syria
00:06:46.860 by instituting a civil war,
00:06:49.600 initiating a civil war,
00:06:50.620 inciting a civil war,
00:06:51.860 which led to the creation of ISIS.
00:06:53.880 Go look up
00:06:54.340 Operation Timber Sycamore.
00:06:57.700 Well, there's a big difference
00:06:58.920 because these guys
00:07:01.040 have 6,000 nuclear warheads.
00:07:02.660 They've got more nuclear warheads
00:07:04.040 than us.
00:07:05.680 We can't even stop
00:07:06.980 a Chinese spy platform
00:07:08.820 from coming
00:07:10.100 and taking telemetry data
00:07:12.480 and communications data
00:07:14.360 over our entire country
00:07:16.100 and our nuclear arsenal.
00:07:17.580 No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:07:19.320 Instead,
00:07:20.400 we sit back and take it.
00:07:22.260 And then this guy
00:07:23.160 runs over there
00:07:24.040 saying,
00:07:25.660 I'm a big, tough man.
00:07:26.900 Look at me.
00:07:27.760 Look at me.
00:07:28.340 I'm good to go.
00:07:31.360 How do you think
00:07:32.300 that's going to be taken?
00:07:34.140 You know,
00:07:34.460 we used to have a president.
00:07:36.120 So there's this story
00:07:37.080 that when President Obama
00:07:39.200 handed over the reins
00:07:41.400 to President Trump,
00:07:42.440 when they did their handover of power,
00:07:44.060 that he told him
00:07:44.640 that the number one issue
00:07:45.760 was North Korea,
00:07:46.760 that North Korea
00:07:47.220 was the single greatest threat.
00:07:48.400 And keep in mind,
00:07:48.720 this was two years after Crimea,
00:07:50.000 two years after Donbass
00:07:50.980 had kicked off.
00:07:52.060 And Barack Obama himself
00:07:53.620 didn't say
00:07:54.440 that the biggest threat
00:07:55.400 was Russia.
00:07:55.960 He said the biggest threat
00:07:56.880 was North Korea.
00:07:57.520 And he said,
00:07:58.740 we've tried everything
00:07:59.420 we can think of.
00:08:02.000 We've scolded them
00:08:03.800 from the UN.
00:08:04.620 We've scolded them
00:08:05.800 from international legal bodies,
00:08:08.560 et cetera.
00:08:09.980 What did Trump say?
00:08:12.060 Have you tried talking to the man?
00:08:14.540 Have you tried going over there
00:08:15.960 and sitting down with him?
00:08:18.340 Have you tried holding a meeting?
00:08:20.440 That's what we used to do
00:08:21.880 during the Cold War.
00:08:23.980 We understood
00:08:25.020 the threat
00:08:26.020 of mutually assured
00:08:27.120 destruction.
00:08:27.740 We understood
00:08:28.640 what it took
00:08:29.880 to keep the world safe.
00:08:31.800 But somewhere along the line,
00:08:33.720 the idiots running
00:08:34.820 our foreign policy
00:08:35.900 and the idiots running
00:08:36.820 our national security
00:08:37.740 forgot about all of this.
00:08:39.840 They forgot the way
00:08:40.720 the Cold War worked
00:08:42.120 and the reason
00:08:42.860 that it stayed cold
00:08:44.440 because cooler heads prevailed.
00:08:47.880 But instead,
00:08:49.280 we don't have that.
00:08:51.540 We've got senators
00:08:52.700 like John Fetterman
00:08:54.080 who don't even have
00:08:55.800 their own mind.
00:08:56.700 And we've got people
00:08:57.340 like Joe Biden
00:08:58.300 who actually thinks
00:08:59.540 that he's saving the world
00:09:01.400 while he's walking us,
00:09:03.240 the American people,
00:09:04.700 down the Primrose path
00:09:06.920 to World War III.
00:09:08.200 Quote,
00:09:11.220 I don't have,
00:09:12.420 I don't build
00:09:13.140 in order to have donors.
00:09:15.020 I have donors
00:09:15.880 in order to build.
00:09:17.820 That's what I believed
00:09:19.320 and I felt like
00:09:19.980 we had a conflict of visions.
00:09:21.460 We measure our success
00:09:22.760 in terms of
00:09:23.600 what we produce,
00:09:25.200 not just in terms
00:09:26.360 of our wallets.
00:09:28.520 That was a pretty
00:09:29.340 fundamental conflict,
00:09:30.380 I felt.
00:09:31.480 The day prior,
00:09:32.480 I had informed him
00:09:33.180 in front of his colleagues
00:09:33.920 that if he wasn't willing
00:09:35.240 to follow my lead,
00:09:36.780 he'd be shown the door.
00:09:38.700 I tried to deal
00:09:39.540 with it privately,
00:09:40.720 but I was unsuccessful
00:09:41.760 and the disagreement
00:09:43.040 boiled over publicly
00:09:44.260 in a staff meeting.
00:09:45.780 The next day,
00:09:46.620 this individual
00:09:47.120 refused to resign,
00:09:48.460 so I fired him.
00:09:50.940 Later that same day,
00:09:52.600 that's Thursday,
00:09:53.600 February 2nd,
00:09:54.320 a few days after
00:09:55.180 the 50 million
00:09:55.880 viewed visor videos,
00:09:57.500 I was informed
00:09:58.320 by a different officer
00:09:59.440 of Project Veritas
00:10:00.300 that he would go
00:10:01.680 to the board
00:10:02.320 in a few hours
00:10:03.260 from that moment
00:10:03.900 and have an emergency vote
00:10:05.640 to restructure this company.
00:10:08.040 Receiving an agenda
00:10:08.960 in my email
00:10:09.680 while I was sitting
00:10:10.300 on an airplane tarmac
00:10:11.760 with the doors closing,
00:10:13.820 the meeting was scheduled
00:10:15.120 for the moment
00:10:15.720 that my plane landed
00:10:16.680 in Nashville.
00:10:18.000 It became clear to me
00:10:19.340 in that moment
00:10:19.980 I would be removed
00:10:21.500 from my position
00:10:22.600 at Project Veritas
00:10:23.360 by the time I landed
00:10:24.800 at my destination.
00:10:27.080 So,
00:10:28.600 our mission continues on.
00:10:31.460 I'm not done.
00:10:32.220 The mission will perhaps
00:10:34.020 take on a new name
00:10:35.160 and it may be
00:10:36.920 no longer called
00:10:37.700 Veritas,
00:10:38.620 Project Veritas.
00:10:40.020 I'll meet a bunch
00:10:40.740 of people
00:10:41.200 around me
00:10:42.660 and I'll make sure
00:10:45.140 you know
00:10:47.540 how to find me.
00:10:49.140 So with that,
00:10:50.140 I'm going to collect
00:10:50.760 my things.
00:10:52.100 I'm going to load
00:10:52.500 them into my car
00:10:53.200 and I hope to see
00:10:57.040 some of you soon.
00:10:57.560 So,
00:10:59.260 I've been quiet
00:11:02.140 on the show
00:11:03.600 about my friend
00:11:05.460 James O'Keefe
00:11:06.280 and my friends
00:11:07.360 at Project Veritas.
00:11:09.200 You guys know
00:11:10.160 that I've had James
00:11:11.240 on this program
00:11:12.020 many times
00:11:12.960 and have always
00:11:15.240 been a long-time
00:11:15.940 supporter of his
00:11:16.800 and Project Veritas.
00:11:18.680 I love Project Veritas.
00:11:21.540 I am deeply committed
00:11:23.580 to every single piece
00:11:25.880 of work that they've done.
00:11:26.680 I've always been
00:11:29.140 one of the first people
00:11:30.440 to either,
00:11:30.980 if I'm going to post
00:11:31.620 their video,
00:11:32.120 they have a new thing out
00:11:32.920 or if they have
00:11:33.700 something coming,
00:11:34.480 I make sure to
00:11:35.580 get it lined up,
00:11:37.160 clear my schedule
00:11:37.760 if I have to.
00:11:39.080 If I know something
00:11:39.620 big is coming on
00:11:40.440 like the Pfizer story
00:11:41.560 that just came out.
00:11:44.720 And then I see
00:11:45.480 this happen.
00:11:47.900 James
00:11:48.300 being removed
00:11:50.580 from his own
00:11:53.280 organization
00:11:53.980 that he built
00:11:55.480 from nothing.
00:11:56.680 he took it
00:11:58.360 from zero to one
00:11:59.200 to use the
00:12:00.460 Peter Thiel phrase.
00:12:02.360 There would be
00:12:03.380 no Project Veritas
00:12:04.340 without James O'Keefe.
00:12:06.460 There would be
00:12:07.060 no Apple
00:12:07.520 without Steve Jobs.
00:12:09.260 The world needs
00:12:10.300 creators.
00:12:10.900 The world needs
00:12:11.480 founders.
00:12:13.080 He was quoting
00:12:14.020 Ayn Rand
00:12:14.540 or paraphrasing
00:12:15.260 Ayn Rand,
00:12:16.100 the fountainhead
00:12:17.060 at the beginning
00:12:17.800 of the clip
00:12:19.380 you saw there
00:12:19.920 and the 45-minute
00:12:20.620 clip is going viral
00:12:21.420 and everyone
00:12:21.720 can see it.
00:12:22.280 And
00:12:24.720 I've spoken
00:12:28.280 to James
00:12:28.740 not since yesterday
00:12:30.440 but I've spoken
00:12:31.100 to him recently
00:12:31.760 within the past
00:12:32.740 couple of weeks
00:12:33.280 and other people
00:12:35.440 who were involved
00:12:35.960 in this
00:12:36.300 and it's tough
00:12:36.740 for me.
00:12:36.960 Look,
00:12:37.960 when there's a fight
00:12:40.100 that's inside the family
00:12:41.120 like this,
00:12:42.900 it's rough
00:12:43.680 because everybody
00:12:45.960 knows people
00:12:46.540 on both sides
00:12:47.200 and you just
00:12:48.440 want the fight
00:12:49.080 to go away
00:12:49.840 because you want
00:12:50.900 the family
00:12:51.240 to come together.
00:12:53.440 And that's how
00:12:54.140 I feel about this.
00:12:54.980 I feel like
00:12:55.540 this movement,
00:12:56.860 it is a family.
00:13:01.140 And
00:13:01.620 for somebody
00:13:03.100 like James,
00:13:04.180 such an important
00:13:06.160 part of this family
00:13:07.900 to see him
00:13:10.440 attacked like this,
00:13:14.160 publicly smeared
00:13:15.580 like this
00:13:16.200 by his own
00:13:17.280 organization
00:13:17.800 makes me sick
00:13:19.900 to my stomach.
00:13:21.120 It makes me
00:13:21.740 want to throw up.
00:13:26.540 There are
00:13:27.500 forces
00:13:28.300 currently
00:13:29.860 at play
00:13:32.000 here.
00:13:34.740 2024
00:13:35.220 is fast
00:13:35.980 approaching.
00:13:38.740 And if you
00:13:39.500 think
00:13:39.960 that the
00:13:42.900 regime
00:13:43.320 wants to
00:13:44.140 respond
00:13:44.660 to all
00:13:46.280 the gains
00:13:46.780 that have
00:13:47.060 been made
00:13:47.500 on the ground
00:13:49.060 in this
00:13:49.620 nationalist
00:13:50.000 populist
00:13:50.480 movement
00:13:50.760 that we're
00:13:51.080 in,
00:13:52.280 if you
00:13:52.860 were a
00:13:53.120 smart
00:13:53.340 regime
00:13:53.720 and you
00:13:54.240 wanted to
00:13:54.540 take out
00:13:54.900 your
00:13:55.020 opponents,
00:13:55.460 what would
00:13:55.700 you do?
00:13:56.560 You would
00:13:57.100 infiltrate
00:13:57.600 them.
00:13:58.420 You would
00:13:58.940 infiltrate
00:13:59.480 them and
00:13:59.760 you'd
00:13:59.940 sow
00:14:00.140 dissension.
00:14:00.780 You would
00:14:00.960 infiltrate
00:14:01.540 them and
00:14:02.000 you would
00:14:02.680 ignite
00:14:03.160 a civil
00:14:04.280 war
00:14:05.080 between
00:14:05.820 competing
00:14:06.520 factions.
00:14:07.760 You know,
00:14:07.900 we've seen
00:14:08.180 a lot of
00:14:08.520 this lately
00:14:08.940 over the
00:14:09.260 past couple
00:14:09.720 of weeks
00:14:10.020 and I
00:14:10.260 keep my
00:14:10.600 mouth
00:14:10.780 shut
00:14:10.960 for the
00:14:11.220 most
00:14:11.420 part.
00:14:12.300 But a
00:14:12.520 lot of
00:14:12.720 this
00:14:12.840 behind
00:14:13.240 the
00:14:13.480 curtain
00:14:13.760 stuff,
00:14:17.500 daily
00:14:17.660 wire,
00:14:18.660 whether
00:14:19.720 just all
00:14:21.140 of this
00:14:21.500 different
00:14:21.900 dissension,
00:14:22.700 now Project
00:14:23.320 Veritas where
00:14:23.860 it's come
00:14:24.140 to,
00:14:25.380 that normally
00:14:26.620 would stay
00:14:27.040 behind the
00:14:27.400 curtain.
00:14:28.440 Who benefits
00:14:29.300 from this?
00:14:30.440 And so the
00:14:31.020 same type of
00:14:31.560 analysis that
00:14:32.620 I would put
00:14:33.060 on world
00:14:33.560 events,
00:14:34.240 I would put
00:14:35.060 to this type
00:14:36.260 of situation,
00:14:37.020 to our
00:14:37.580 movement,
00:14:38.260 to our
00:14:38.840 family.
00:14:42.240 Qui
00:14:42.720 bono,
00:14:43.780 qui
00:14:43.980 malo.
00:14:45.120 How many
00:14:45.500 times have I
00:14:45.980 said that?
00:14:46.400 It would
00:14:47.080 be like the
00:14:47.320 new motto
00:14:47.780 of the
00:14:48.060 show,
00:14:48.760 qui
00:14:48.880 bono,
00:14:49.440 qui
00:14:49.560 malo.
00:14:50.700 Who
00:14:50.960 benefits,
00:14:52.100 who
00:14:52.380 suffers.
00:14:53.880 So,
00:14:54.380 who
00:14:54.540 suffers?
00:14:54.960 I think
00:14:55.140 that's
00:14:55.320 obvious.
00:14:56.220 The entire
00:14:56.660 movement
00:14:57.000 suffers.
00:14:58.020 The entire
00:14:58.560 populist
00:14:59.160 nationalist
00:14:59.480 movement
00:14:59.880 suffers.
00:15:02.540 Because when
00:15:03.160 you get
00:15:03.500 into a
00:15:03.960 mud fight,
00:15:04.460 you get
00:15:04.720 mud on
00:15:05.140 everyone.
00:15:07.240 But who
00:15:07.800 benefits?
00:15:08.520 Ah,
00:15:09.020 who benefits?
00:15:10.620 Well,
00:15:10.800 James O'Keefe
00:15:11.340 and Project
00:15:11.760 Veritas,
00:15:13.000 more than
00:15:13.900 any of
00:15:14.260 us,
00:15:15.680 have an
00:15:16.060 enemy's
00:15:16.580 list that's
00:15:17.560 a mile
00:15:17.880 long.
00:15:19.560 Those people
00:15:20.400 are the
00:15:20.660 ones who
00:15:20.960 benefit.
00:15:22.220 The people
00:15:22.940 that are
00:15:24.080 getting away
00:15:24.900 with their
00:15:25.640 corruption
00:15:26.140 right now
00:15:27.260 because James
00:15:28.800 O'Keefe and
00:15:29.500 Project
00:15:29.800 Veritas are
00:15:31.980 running around
00:15:32.620 chasing their
00:15:33.100 tail like
00:15:33.540 this,
00:15:34.540 the people
00:15:35.240 that they
00:15:35.660 would normally
00:15:36.280 be going
00:15:36.740 after are
00:15:38.200 breathing a
00:15:38.560 sigh of
00:15:38.800 relief.
00:15:39.860 So isn't
00:15:40.700 that interesting?
00:15:42.060 Isn't it
00:15:42.700 interesting that
00:15:43.620 the people who
00:15:44.100 seem to benefit
00:15:44.720 from this
00:15:45.400 are the
00:15:46.700 ones that
00:15:47.480 have always
00:15:47.960 been on
00:15:48.280 the wrong
00:15:48.700 end of
00:15:49.820 Project
00:15:50.120 Veritas'
00:15:50.980 investigations?
00:15:53.560 What can
00:15:54.320 I say?
00:15:55.380 Wouldn't the
00:15:55.800 most poetic
00:15:56.380 justice be
00:15:57.340 if you had
00:15:58.280 been infiltrated
00:15:59.020 by James
00:15:59.500 O'Keefe
00:16:00.000 to infiltrate
00:16:01.520 him back?
00:16:02.700 I don't know,
00:16:03.780 but I will
00:16:04.340 say this.
00:16:05.920 It happened.
00:16:07.980 It's done.
00:16:09.760 The die
00:16:10.360 is cast.
00:16:11.080 Sides have
00:16:13.360 been drawn.
00:16:14.800 The work
00:16:15.640 goes on.
00:16:19.360 Folks, I
00:16:20.000 know if you
00:16:20.380 feel like I
00:16:20.920 do, the
00:16:21.800 world is being
00:16:22.400 held together
00:16:23.180 with duct tape
00:16:24.280 right now.
00:16:25.060 Everything's
00:16:25.380 falling apart.
00:16:26.300 There's new
00:16:26.640 distractions all
00:16:27.340 over the
00:16:27.600 place, fake
00:16:28.120 news to pull
00:16:28.620 us all from
00:16:29.060 reality, and
00:16:30.180 we're trying
00:16:30.800 to face it.
00:16:32.340 But between
00:16:32.780 the government
00:16:33.180 trying to print
00:16:33.900 their way out
00:16:34.420 of debt, global
00:16:35.140 military conflicts,
00:16:36.140 and the looming
00:16:36.820 food shortage,
00:16:37.560 preparedness is no
00:16:38.480 longer a choice.
00:16:39.520 It is a
00:16:40.200 necessity, and
00:16:40.840 in times like
00:16:41.340 these, you
00:16:42.060 can trust

00:17:13.660 MyPatriotSupply.com
00:17:14.680 Officer Fitzgerald was
00:17:18.860 in full uniform in a
00:17:21.020 patrol vehicle when he
00:17:22.140 observed three males on
00:17:23.100 1800 block of Montgomery
00:17:25.460 Avenue.
00:17:26.620 There have been a
00:17:27.340 series of robberies and
00:17:28.240 carjackings in the
00:17:29.000 area, and these males
00:17:30.640 were wearing all black
00:17:32.000 and masked up.
00:17:33.400 Officer Fitzgerald
00:17:34.120 attempted to conduct
00:17:35.020 what we call a
00:17:35.720 pedestrian investigation,
00:17:36.760 investigation, at which
00:17:38.220 time the males fled on
00:17:39.660 foot.
00:17:40.560 Officer Fitzgerald
00:17:41.260 notified police radio
00:17:42.260 that he was, in fact,
00:17:43.400 in foot pursuit of
00:17:44.260 these three males.
00:17:45.500 Two of the males hid in
00:17:46.600 the area.
00:17:47.640 The third male, Miles
00:17:48.920 Peefer, was still being
00:17:50.740 pursued by Officer
00:17:51.580 Fitzgerald onto the
00:17:53.260 1700 block of Montgomery
00:17:54.660 Avenue.
00:17:55.800 Now, so you understand
00:17:56.520 where the 1700 block of
00:17:57.880 Montgomery Avenue is, it's
00:17:59.620 exactly one block from the
00:18:01.020 22nd Police District.
00:18:02.300 We recovered video from
00:18:04.740 the area, and out of
00:18:06.060 respect for the family,
00:18:06.980 we will not be showing
00:18:07.760 that video, but the video
00:18:09.380 depicts the following.
00:18:11.080 Officer Fitzgerald running
00:18:12.080 behind Miles Peefer.
00:18:14.060 Officer Fitzgerald was able
00:18:15.260 to catch up Mr. Peefer.
00:18:17.320 Then you can hear
00:18:18.100 Officer Fitzgerald say,
00:18:20.060 go to the ground.
00:18:21.620 They tussle behind an SUV,
00:18:23.860 which is out of camera view.
00:18:26.960 Peefer then pulls out a
00:18:28.060 handgun and shoots Officer
00:18:29.720 Fitzgerald.
00:18:30.840 You can hear the shots and
00:18:32.040 see the muzzle flash.
00:18:33.460 Bang, bang, bang.
00:18:35.660 When Officer Fitzgerald falls
00:18:37.080 to the ground, Peefer then
00:18:38.300 shoots the officer, as he
00:18:40.020 is on the ground, three
00:18:41.360 additional shots.
00:18:42.720 Bang, bang, bang.
00:18:44.620 So, you may have heard this
00:18:46.060 horrific story at a Temple
00:18:48.440 University this weekend of
00:18:51.420 the execution of a Temple
00:18:54.060 University police officer by
00:18:57.220 allegedly this 18-year-old
00:18:59.020 kid.
00:18:59.280 He's been arrested.
00:18:59.920 He's been charged.
00:19:02.040 Now, when they go up there
00:19:06.060 and they give that report
00:19:06.880 and they say the 1700 block
00:19:08.260 of Montgomery Avenue, oh,
00:19:09.460 it's the 1700 block of
00:19:10.440 Montgomery Avenue.
00:19:11.900 Well, that might be what it
00:19:14.020 means to you, but I went to
00:19:17.540 Temple University.
00:19:18.640 That's my alma mater.
00:19:20.780 I was a student leader there.
00:19:22.060 I spent all four years there.
00:19:25.240 To me, 1700 Montgomery, that's
00:19:28.420 where I would park my car before
00:19:30.520 I went into the Lea Kors Center
00:19:32.020 because it was a couple blocks
00:19:33.140 up.
00:19:34.280 And you could park your car for
00:19:35.460 free there.
00:19:36.040 It was cheaper than the dirt
00:19:36.980 lot.
00:19:37.340 Now, the dirt lot, by the way,
00:19:38.520 which is down the other end of
00:19:39.440 campus, that you had to take
00:19:41.000 your life in your hands because
00:19:42.080 the dirt lot, you didn't pay
00:19:44.040 anything.
00:19:45.520 But you could get blocked in,
00:19:47.100 you could get boxed in, you
00:19:48.140 could get stuck there, et cetera,
00:19:49.220 et cetera.
00:19:50.080 So, sure, you could park up by
00:19:51.400 the Lea Kors Center behind the
00:19:52.540 Lea Kors Garage.
00:19:55.220 I used to park there.
00:19:56.300 I saw Green Day there when I was
00:19:57.960 in school.
00:19:58.620 I saw Muse there at the Lea Kors
00:20:00.440 Center.
00:20:03.380 I used to walk there to and from
00:20:05.000 class when I'd park my car.
00:20:06.360 This was part of going to school
00:20:13.220 at Temple for everybody.
00:20:15.720 Or if you were looking for some
00:20:17.880 used textbooks that were a little
00:20:19.220 cheaper, maybe, you know, maybe
00:20:21.100 you'd be walking around Montgomery
00:20:22.200 Avenue.
00:20:22.640 You'd be looking for it.
00:20:25.800 And so here we are looking at my
00:20:31.820 school all these years later and to
00:20:35.320 think that and to be clear, you
00:20:37.460 know, it was a pretty rough
00:20:38.260 neighborhood even when I went
00:20:39.280 there.
00:20:40.120 But this idea that there'd be a
00:20:42.940 police officer hunted down, shot
00:20:48.160 and killed and executed execution
00:20:50.600 style.
00:20:52.520 Right on that very same sidewalk.
00:20:55.980 That me and the other students used
00:20:57.360 to walk to and from class.
00:21:00.920 It's horrific.
00:21:01.700 And this came just two days after
00:21:04.860 Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro
00:21:06.480 said that he's going to be
00:21:08.140 essentially unilaterally suspending
00:21:10.180 the death penalty in the state of
00:21:12.900 Pennsylvania, which means that even
00:21:16.040 though it's on the books, he's either
00:21:18.260 going to grant clemency or not sign the
00:21:19.900 warrant, et cetera, et cetera.
00:21:21.980 So instead of going hard on crime, he's
00:21:25.880 going to go soft on crime.
00:21:28.840 What's the response?
00:21:29.660 They immediately start executing police
00:21:33.360 officers attempting to diversity.
00:21:36.780 And then we found out the suspect in
00:21:40.880 all of this, and we'll call him a
00:21:42.020 suspect because, of course, we do
00:21:43.960 believe that everybody deserves a fair
00:21:45.940 trial and we want that.
00:21:46.800 Of course, we encourage that.
00:21:48.940 We celebrate due process.
00:21:50.500 The suspect is 18 years old, comes
00:21:55.660 from a wealthy family, is from Bucks
00:21:57.860 County, middle Bucks, as a matter of
00:22:00.640 fact, basically from the suburbs.
00:22:03.680 You go to his Instagram page and
00:22:06.420 riding dirt bikes, hanging out with his
00:22:08.940 friends, going fishing.
00:22:12.280 But that's when he was younger.
00:22:13.540 And as he gets older, suddenly you start
00:22:14.980 to see him.
00:22:17.040 Putting dollar dollar bills up in front
00:22:18.700 of his face, carrying a handgun with an
00:22:22.020 extended mag in his waistband.
00:22:26.520 Talking about going down in the city.
00:22:29.920 And what you see is that the culture of
00:22:32.780 the inner city is now spreading out into
00:22:35.440 the suburbs.
00:22:36.800 And it is enticing, influencing, and in
00:22:42.080 this case, infecting young suburban kids.
00:22:48.300 And they want to be little wannabe
00:22:49.700 gangsters, too.
00:22:51.580 So this idea, by the way, that crime, we
00:22:56.040 talked about this on the Sunday special
00:22:58.740 with Heather McDonald.
00:22:59.920 This idea that poverty causes crime is
00:23:02.060 backwards.
00:23:03.420 It's absolutely backwards.
00:23:04.540 Crime causes poverty.
00:23:05.480 Because you can't build anything in a
00:23:08.460 criminal area.
00:23:11.020 Explain this guy.
00:23:12.900 If this actually did happen, explain
00:23:14.940 this.
00:23:16.160 Because you have to explain how the
00:23:19.380 celebration of gangster culture,
00:23:23.080 thug culture, led a wealthy, suburban,
00:23:28.560 18-year-old boy to become a criminal who would
00:23:35.040 then go execute a police officer, allegedly, on
00:23:40.320 the street.
00:23:42.200 Not even anywhere near where he lived.
00:23:44.540 They said he was knocking off some convenience
00:23:46.380 stores, some grocery store.
00:23:48.180 And then you look, by the way, at the logo, which
00:23:51.740 nobody is talking about, but I'll talk about it.
00:23:53.620 The logo on his hoodie, when he was arrested, what
00:23:58.100 he's wearing when he's in custody.
00:24:00.100 A dollar sign with an X through it.
00:24:03.460 A crossed out dollar sign is a known symbol of the
00:24:08.940 anti-capitalist anarcho left.
00:24:13.420 So a group known for violence, historically in the
00:24:18.900 United States, violence specifically against police
00:24:22.000 officers.
00:24:22.460 Now, look, I have no information to connect him to the
00:24:29.200 anarcho-socialist movement other than the fact that he's
00:24:32.200 wearing a shirt that's got a symbol on it that is a symbol
00:24:35.800 of that movement.
00:24:36.600 A movement that has killed cops in the past.
00:24:40.740 So again, we're following the evidence, as I always say that
00:24:44.500 people should do, but I am pointing out that that logo
00:24:47.640 combined with this thug culture mentality
00:24:53.000 shows that something has gone wrong in our suburbs, something
00:24:59.380 has gone wrong in our country, something is going wrong.
00:25:02.980 We're not just seeing the collapse of infrastructure.
00:25:05.420 We're not just seeing the collapse of America standing in
00:25:08.120 the world.
00:25:08.540 We're seeing the collapse of our own moral fiber in this
00:25:12.360 country, a collapse of moral standards, a collapse of our
00:25:15.280 moral center and core.
00:25:17.440 And when that collapses, everything rushes in.
00:25:23.440 Ladies and gentlemen, you have my permission to lay short.
