Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec - EPISODE 503： WHY DID SEN GRAHAM INTRODUCE AN ARTICLE 5 FOR UKRAINE IF A NUCLEAR FACILITY IS DESTROYED？

00:00:00.000 We are in the fight for America's future and we are assembling a team to fight back.

00:00:08.680 Turning point action this July 15th and 16th is where the assemblage will take place.

00:00:16.140 Donald Trump, Tucker Carlson, Dan Bongino, Steve Bannon, myself, Charlie Kirk, Senator Hawley,

00:00:31.160 Harmeet Dillon, you need to be there.

00:00:35.100 Go and sign up immediately.

00:00:37.660 tpaction.com is the site.

00:00:41.580 tpaction.com.

00:00:43.720 Use promo code POSO and you will get a discount.

00:00:47.760 Secure your tickets immediately.

00:00:49.880 Don't be coming to me saying, can you get me in after this thing sells out?

00:00:53.780 Because it will sell out fast.

00:00:55.380 And I will see you down in Florida this July 15th and 16th for the greatest assemblage of patriots this country has seen since Valley Forge.

00:01:09.140 We are in a fifth generational conflict.

00:01:17.960 For every lie they tell, we're going to get in their face and yell two truths.

00:01:23.080 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.

00:01:26.860 In a rant, he claims that the Russian military targeted and killed a, quote, huge amount of his Wagner forces.

00:01:34.720 These are the chaotic scenes posted by the Wagner mercenary group.

00:01:38.820 This could very well be the unraveling of the Putin regime.

00:01:42.860 The leader of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has ordered his forces to halt their march to Moscow and return to their camps after taking control of a southern city.

00:01:52.640 Before I even arrive at the Oval Office, I will have the horrible war between Russia and Ukraine totally settled.

00:02:00.420 I'll have it done in 24 hours.

00:02:02.080 The biggest story of the week was that WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden.

00:02:07.400 If it comes true what the IRS whistleblower is saying, we're going to start impeachment inquiries on the attorney general.

00:02:13.080 But what's got everyone talking is the bombshell WhatsApp message they gave the committee.

00:02:19.740 The one that implicates Joe Biden.

00:02:21.760 I've never spoken to my son about his overseas business.

00:02:24.500 This is the final battle.

00:02:26.240 We will defeat crooked Joe Biden.

00:02:29.460 We will liberate America from these villains once and for all.

00:02:36.440 Well, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events with Jack Posobiec.

00:02:41.620 Today is June 26, 2023.

00:02:44.780 Anno Domini.

00:02:46.280 Folks, we've seen a lot of chaos over the last 48 hours.

00:02:50.920 We put out a bonus broadcast, a special broadcast of Human Events over the weekend,

00:02:56.460 breaking down the shocking and stunning events of Russia, this Prigozhin-Wagner Group situation,

00:03:03.860 the Prigozhin affair, l'affaire de Prigozhin, as you might say in French.

00:03:08.820 What went down?

00:03:10.020 What was happening?

00:03:10.680 We're going to have Lieutenant Colonel Tony Schaefer on very soon to talk about this in full detail.

00:03:15.400 And did intel on either side play a role in this?

00:03:18.620 But we have to talk about this new piece out of the New York Post.

00:03:22.420 Was 2020 an inside job?

00:03:26.360 Now, Speaker McCarthy was out there early this morning in an interview telling us

00:03:30.860 that if the FBI, excuse me, the IRS whistleblower

00:03:35.520 is truthful,

00:03:37.340 that they will be opening an impeachment inquiry on Merrick Garland.

00:03:43.480 And let's ask that for a question.

00:03:46.400 Why was it that this investigation was not on Hunter Biden, was not handled by the FBI?

00:03:53.980 Why was it sent to the IRS?

00:03:56.260 Why wasn't it done by FBI, DOJ, the rest?

00:03:59.280 They said this is a tax matter.

00:04:00.500 I'll tell you why right now.

00:04:02.320 It's very simple.

00:04:03.520 Because even before you get to any of the situation regarding the actual conduct of the investigation

00:04:09.560 that the IRS is talking about,

00:04:11.780 these whistleblower and very brave agents coming forward,

00:04:15.040 they're telling us, number one,

00:04:16.800 that unequivocally,

00:04:18.400 they were blocked from conducting any subpoenas,

00:04:24.060 any raids,

00:04:25.180 any action whatsoever on the Hunter Biden investigation.

00:04:27.860 They wanted to do raids in multiple states with multiple subpoenas on Hunter Biden

00:04:33.260 throughout the course of 2020

00:04:34.960 because the FBI had already verified the laptop a year before we had it on War Room,

00:04:42.380 a full year before we released that laptop,

00:04:46.260 before the New York Post story first came out,

00:04:48.260 the hard drive from hell,

00:04:49.300 all of it a full year before it had been verified.

00:04:51.640 But the FBI didn't want to look into how Hunter Biden was getting his money.

00:04:55.140 The FBI didn't care about the FARA, the flagrant FARA violations.

00:04:59.500 The FBI didn't want to touch any of it.

00:05:01.660 They said, oh, we're just going to make sure that he has to pay his taxes.

00:05:06.200 This is really a tax issue.

00:05:08.180 We're not going to ask questions.

00:05:10.280 Did the FBI even open a single counterintelligence file on Hunter Biden and his family

00:05:17.100 when they had evidence all the way back in 2017

00:05:23.340 that they were taking bribes?

00:05:27.000 Where was the counterintelligence investigation?

00:05:29.560 They opened one into Flynn.

00:05:31.000 They opened one into Trump,

00:05:32.480 the FISA,

00:05:33.080 the Carter Page,

00:05:33.860 the Roger Stone.

00:05:35.880 The FBI was in on it.

00:05:38.680 The DOJ was in on it.

00:05:40.240 And for all those people who say,

00:05:41.240 oh, that was Trump's DOJ.

00:05:42.540 That was Trump's DOJ. 1.00

00:05:43.180 Shut up. 1.00

00:05:45.480 You understand what's going on here. 0.99

00:05:47.680 And we've had the receipts.

00:05:50.040 And we're going to continue dropping the receipts.

00:05:52.980 Because I was putting out all the way back in 2021,

00:05:57.760 the receipts on how Bill Barr and Chris Wray

00:06:00.360 went into the Oval Office of the White House,

00:06:03.380 lied to the president,

00:06:04.440 and said that we would not go after Antifa.

00:06:07.100 Okay, we've got the receipts on all these guys.

00:06:09.200 And that's what we do here.

00:06:11.760 But we're going to ask the question,

00:06:13.200 and we'll have Richard Barris on later in this show,

00:06:15.800 later in this hour.

00:06:17.300 And I've been pulling triple duty today, all right?

00:06:19.620 This is the third show that I've done.

00:06:21.780 I think I've been peered on every show

00:06:24.800 here on Real America's Voice before this one,

00:06:27.620 except I didn't call in.

00:06:28.660 I should have called in to the morning show,

00:06:30.620 have the trifecta,

00:06:31.560 go for the quadrophenia next time, folks.

00:06:34.060 I'm not going to stop working.

00:06:36.860 And you cannot stop working

00:06:38.920 because we have a lot of work to do

00:06:41.280 before we can set things right in this country,

00:06:44.540 before we can understand everything that's going on.

00:06:46.820 And of course, we need to understand

00:06:48.380 the events of Russia,

00:06:50.800 Purgosian, did the CIA, 1.00

00:06:52.540 did U.S. intelligence have any role there?

00:06:55.460 I'm going to bring on Lieutenant Colonel Tony Schaefer next

00:06:57.240 and ask him that very question.

00:06:58.440 Stay tuned here.

00:06:59.120 Human Events.

00:06:59.580 I'm always listening to Human Events

00:07:04.140 with Jack Posobiec.

00:07:06.420 All right, we're back here at Human Events.

00:07:08.120 Folks, I have to tell you that every day,

00:07:09.960 the parallel economy is growing bigger and bigger.

00:07:12.620 This is the best news for conservatives

00:07:14.820 and traditional Americans.

00:07:16.860 Why?

00:07:17.340 Because we are sick and tired

00:07:18.740 of all the woke propaganda and programming

00:07:20.960 being jammed into every product we consume.

00:07:23.800 Big mobile companies, they're no different.

00:07:25.740 For years, they've been dumping millions

00:07:28.240 into leftist causes and we've had to take it

00:07:30.360 because you need a cell phone

00:07:31.660 and you probably thought there's no alternative.

00:07:33.580 Well, now there is.

00:08:15.140 I want to bring on today,

00:08:16.920 he's becoming,

00:08:18.020 he's becoming a regular here on Human Events

00:08:20.720 and we appreciate his time

00:08:22.180 and his expertise.

00:08:23.420 Lieutenant Colonel Tony Schaefer

00:08:25.340 joins us now.

00:08:27.360 Lieutenant Colonel Schaefer now,

00:08:28.700 you and I, by the way,

00:08:29.540 we haven't been trading messages on this,

00:08:31.820 but I think we have a similar read

00:08:33.720 to this idea that anyone who,

00:08:37.240 and we saw this Peter Zeehan

00:08:38.880 and Ann Applebaum

00:08:41.060 and Jennifer Rubin

00:08:42.180 and all these people

00:08:43.200 who are paid to focus on the Kremlin,

00:08:45.660 Malcolm Nance,

00:08:46.580 you know, focus on everything

00:08:47.660 that's going on in there.

00:08:49.020 And they were telling us

00:08:50.600 that this was the end of Russia,

00:08:52.720 that it was going to lead to a civil war.

00:08:54.520 So Peter Zeehan said

00:08:56.160 that a civil war was going to break out

00:08:57.840 and that Tucker Carlson

00:08:58.740 would endorse Pregosian.

00:09:01.640 Malcolm Nance went a step further.

00:09:03.260 I love reading that guy.

00:09:04.440 He's got a new podcast out now.

00:09:05.980 I started,

00:09:06.460 I've actually started watching it.

00:09:07.720 I'm one of his 10 listeners.

00:09:08.800 I need to check it out.

00:09:10.040 And he said,

00:09:11.000 he said that

00:09:12.520 Wagner officers were going,

00:09:15.680 or what was it?

00:09:17.200 No, Wagner troops 0.57

00:09:17.940 were going to start executing

00:09:19.060 their own officers

00:09:20.080 and then join the Ukrainians 0.93

00:09:21.940 to invade Russia.

00:09:23.280 I said, this is amazing.

00:09:24.320 I just love hearing

00:09:25.180 what comes through this guy's mind.

00:09:26.720 But I think you and I

00:09:27.580 are both of the same mind here

00:09:29.060 that, you know,

00:09:29.900 this thing was never going to erupt

00:09:31.620 into anything like that,

00:09:32.660 that Putin's got a much stronger control

00:09:34.480 over his regime.

00:09:35.960 And this is either going to end

00:09:37.580 in a deal

00:09:38.600 or a one-way ticket

00:09:39.900 to a cruise missile.

00:09:41.240 That's basically

00:09:41.940 what ended up happening.

00:09:43.020 We're told now

00:09:43.780 that Pregosian 1.00

00:09:45.600 has been exiled to Belarus.

00:09:47.400 But what I wanted to ask you about

00:09:49.060 was there's this question

00:09:50.960 all along.

00:09:52.240 Was this real?

00:09:53.620 Did this actually happen?

00:09:55.120 Was this a rogue mercenary

00:09:57.300 who was taking a run?

00:09:59.040 Was it a gangster state

00:10:00.100 where one of the upstart gangsters

00:10:01.820 is taking a run

00:10:02.640 at the leadership?

00:10:03.620 Or was this some level

00:10:06.440 of an intelligence operation?

00:10:08.340 I'd love to pick your mind

00:10:09.340 on that because,

00:10:10.480 you know, they say,

00:10:11.160 oh, you know,

00:10:11.640 you guys are conspiracy theorists.

00:10:13.080 What do you think

00:10:14.000 intelligence agencies do?

00:10:15.680 All right.

00:10:16.200 They conspire.

00:10:17.520 They conspire a lot

00:10:18.860 for control over everything.

00:10:21.140 So, Lieutenant Colonel

00:10:21.920 Tony Schaefer,

00:10:22.580 take it away.

00:10:24.180 Well, thanks.

00:10:24.900 Well, you know,

00:10:25.320 my friend Jerry Doyle,

00:10:26.420 the late Jerry Doyle,

00:10:27.260 very good talk guy and actor,

00:10:28.920 said when he looked at my world,

00:10:31.100 it was like a wilderness of mirrors.

00:10:32.560 And it really is.

00:10:33.660 And you know that

00:10:34.260 from the beginning.

00:10:35.140 It's like there's things

00:10:36.300 that are real,

00:10:37.420 things that appear to be real,

00:10:39.140 things which are completely

00:10:40.820 basically mysteries

00:10:43.660 within mysteries,

00:10:44.660 enigmas within enigmas.

00:10:45.520 So this is the current situation

00:10:47.180 as far as I'm concerned.

00:10:48.520 And by the way,

00:10:49.160 back on Malcolm Nance,

00:10:50.080 did he defect to the Ukrainians?

00:10:51.560 Didn't I see him

00:10:52.300 in Ukrainian garb

00:10:53.240 or something at some point?

00:10:54.900 Maybe I missed him.

00:10:55.360 He's back now.

00:10:56.100 He's back.

00:10:56.600 Anyway.

00:10:57.120 He hasn't.

00:10:57.600 He's back.

00:10:57.860 For some reason,

00:10:58.460 he decided not to participate

00:10:59.600 in the counteroffensive.

00:11:00.540 It's very sad.

00:11:01.260 That must be

00:11:01.760 getting pushed back.

00:11:03.100 That's sad.

00:11:03.960 I'm disappointed in Malcolm.

00:11:05.660 I know.

00:11:06.040 Anyway, back on topic, though.

00:11:08.500 So imagine, if you will,

00:11:11.180 the TV series Sopranos

00:11:13.780 meets the Hunt for Red October.

00:11:16.240 That's what you have here.

00:11:17.200 You have gangsters

00:11:18.200 like Purgosian

00:11:19.600 who are oligarchs

00:11:20.920 working with Putin 0.65

00:11:22.500 who's both a gangster 0.96

00:11:23.660 and an oligarch

00:11:24.460 in a system

00:11:25.960 that we have

00:11:27.160 no cultural link to.

00:11:29.760 Their system

00:11:30.640 is one of parentage

00:11:31.580 of all these things

00:11:33.440 where they buy off

00:11:34.320 each other.

00:11:34.940 They bully each other.

00:11:37.440 This is not

00:11:38.120 your father's

00:11:39.700 Soviet Union.

00:11:40.740 This is not our democracy

00:11:42.040 or our republic.

00:11:43.060 It's different.

00:11:44.240 And so what we've seen,

00:11:45.420 I think,

00:11:45.840 is Purgosian,

00:11:46.640 who was a favorite

00:11:47.820 of Putin,

00:11:49.760 Putin picked him

00:11:50.700 to run Wagner.

00:11:52.760 Wagner is a tool

00:11:53.980 of Russian foreign policy.

00:11:56.700 It was created

00:11:57.660 out of the DNA

00:11:58.440 of the GRU.

00:11:59.480 They took some GRU officers

00:12:01.040 and kind of converted them

00:12:02.040 into Wagner officers.

00:12:04.120 And Wagner

00:12:04.600 performs

00:12:05.880 many of the functions

00:12:07.700 that Blackwater

00:12:08.580 used to use

00:12:09.180 for the U.S. government

00:12:09.980 and some other things

00:12:10.960 which Blackwater

00:12:11.680 did not do

00:12:12.300 relating to

00:12:13.060 more direct work

00:12:15.760 relating to

00:12:16.480 places like Syria.

00:12:18.500 They also work

00:12:19.620 with the Chinese.

00:12:20.460 They provide

00:12:20.920 personal security

00:12:21.700 details

00:12:22.520 for the Chinese

00:12:23.860 leadership overseas.

00:12:25.040 There's a link for you.

00:12:27.040 And so

00:12:27.560 Purgosian was 0.99

00:12:29.120 the trusted guy

00:12:30.100 to run the books.

00:12:30.920 He's not a military guy.

00:12:31.940 He's a chef.

00:12:32.900 He was a guy

00:12:33.520 that actually spent time

00:12:34.480 when he was 18

00:12:35.180 in prison

00:12:35.700 for being a thug. 0.63

00:12:37.240 But, you know, 0.85

00:12:38.220 thugs stick together

00:12:39.040 apparently

00:12:39.540 and Purgosian

00:12:40.280 came up

00:12:41.200 from Petersburg

00:12:41.920 with Putin

00:12:43.100 to become

00:12:44.280 essentially part

00:12:45.180 of what

00:12:46.240 Putin created

00:12:47.420 post-war

00:12:48.380 Shelson.

00:12:49.360 That's why

00:12:49.900 they're close.

00:12:50.500 That's why

00:12:50.840 I think

00:12:51.280 I would attribute

00:12:52.180 him getting away.

00:12:56.320 That is

00:12:56.660 Purgosian getting away 1.00

00:12:57.600 with really bad

00:12:58.540 mounting

00:12:58.860 the war,

00:13:00.880 the army

00:13:01.720 and things like that.

00:13:02.620 So that's

00:13:03.060 what I think

00:13:03.920 is going on.

00:13:04.740 And to your point,

00:13:05.880 Jack,

00:13:06.140 the reason

00:13:06.540 I knew

00:13:07.020 it was going

00:13:07.800 to be short-lived

00:13:08.560 and I am not

00:13:09.460 paid by anybody.

00:13:10.520 You know,

00:13:10.920 I work independently.

00:13:12.780 I wasn't like

00:13:13.920 Rubin and

00:13:15.700 Nance and all

00:13:16.360 these other folks

00:13:16.900 who get paid

00:13:17.380 to say things.

00:13:18.720 My assessment

00:13:19.420 was he didn't

00:13:20.080 have the three

00:13:20.560 things necessary.

00:13:21.340 That is,

00:13:21.640 Purgosian didn't 1.00

00:13:22.220 have the three

00:13:22.640 things necessary

00:13:23.180 to prevail.

00:13:23.640 First,

00:13:24.480 he did not

00:13:25.040 have the other

00:13:26.260 oligarchs on his 1.00

00:13:27.420 side.

00:13:27.760 He did not

00:13:28.080 grease enough

00:13:29.140 skids.

00:13:30.100 He didn't

00:13:30.480 give enough

00:13:30.980 of Tony Soprano's

00:13:32.060 magic by paying

00:13:33.460 people off

00:13:34.020 or knocking

00:13:34.420 him off

00:13:34.820 in advance

00:13:35.420 of what he

00:13:35.840 wanted to do.

00:13:36.320 So that was,

00:13:37.060 he was out

00:13:37.540 with that.

00:13:38.340 He wasn't

00:13:38.880 going to get

00:13:39.160 the second

00:13:39.540 element,

00:13:39.920 which is the

00:13:40.320 military.

00:13:41.280 The generals

00:13:41.640 were not

00:13:41.980 going to go

00:13:42.280 along with

00:13:42.680 this.

00:13:42.900 He alienated

00:13:43.460 most of them

00:13:43.980 by his

00:13:44.360 antics in

00:13:44.940 Ukraine.

00:13:46.020 He was

00:13:46.760 the blunt

00:13:47.160 end of

00:13:48.220 the hammer.

00:13:49.120 Yeah,

00:13:49.680 Purgosian and

00:13:50.160 his guys

00:13:50.500 were taking

00:13:51.080 it on.

00:13:51.500 That was

00:13:51.940 their job.

00:13:53.060 But the

00:13:54.040 way he went

00:13:54.580 about trying

00:13:55.740 to get the

00:13:56.200 military to

00:13:56.820 give him more

00:13:57.180 resources,

00:13:57.920 just alienated

00:13:58.440 everybody.

00:13:58.920 And third,

00:13:59.340 most importantly,

00:14:00.560 he didn't

00:14:01.060 have the

00:14:01.400 Russian people

00:14:01.900 behind him.

00:14:03.260 Putin actually

00:14:03.840 invoked the

00:14:05.060 1917 revolution

00:14:06.680 in his late

00:14:07.680 Saturday,

00:14:08.140 early Sunday

00:14:08.620 speech.

00:14:09.600 And you and

00:14:09.920 I both know,

00:14:10.520 Jack,

00:14:10.780 when a world

00:14:11.860 leader invokes

00:14:12.580 a major

00:14:13.120 national event

00:14:14.080 like Biden

00:14:15.420 mentioning 1776,

00:14:18.460 something like

00:14:18.860 that,

00:14:19.040 it's a major

00:14:19.820 signal that

00:14:20.620 this links

00:14:21.640 to their

00:14:22.020 history.

00:14:22.460 And I think

00:14:22.900 what Putin

00:14:23.380 was trying

00:14:23.760 to say is,

00:14:24.900 remember 1917

00:14:25.800 and what

00:14:27.280 happened.

00:14:28.300 In 1917,

00:14:29.920 the October

00:14:30.380 revolution,

00:14:31.060 it resulted

00:14:31.600 in a number

00:14:33.660 of years

00:14:34.600 of civil

00:14:35.260 war.

00:14:35.800 Civil war

00:14:36.420 lasted until

00:14:36.940 I think

00:14:37.180 1926 after

00:14:38.860 the October

00:14:39.380 1917 revolution.

00:14:41.820 So I think

00:14:42.200 Putin was

00:14:42.600 warning everybody,

00:14:43.660 you don't want

00:14:44.040 to go along

00:14:44.480 with this 0.99

00:14:44.740 knucklehead. 0.90

00:14:45.520 It'll just 0.89

00:14:45.920 be bad.

00:14:46.520 I think

00:14:46.880 since those

00:14:47.880 things didn't

00:14:48.640 go in

00:14:49.320 Pergosian's

00:14:50.500 favor,

00:14:51.100 it was going

00:14:51.560 to be over

00:14:51.920 very quickly.

00:14:54.500 Well,

00:14:55.120 and I think

00:14:55.700 that's exactly

00:14:56.140 right.

00:14:56.580 And plus,

00:14:57.080 this is a

00:14:57.540 guy,

00:14:57.900 look,

00:14:58.080 he just

00:14:58.360 comes off

00:14:58.820 this massive

00:14:59.420 victory in

00:15:00.640 Bakhmut.

00:15:02.620 And of

00:15:03.360 course,

00:15:03.780 he's seen

00:15:04.680 as kind

00:15:06.120 of a populist.

00:15:07.300 There's a lot

00:15:07.720 of people

00:15:08.080 there who,

00:15:09.500 particularly

00:15:10.400 with the

00:15:10.800 soldiery,

00:15:11.700 who say

00:15:12.220 they like

00:15:13.220 this more

00:15:14.080 hardline

00:15:14.720 approach.

00:15:15.520 There are

00:15:15.720 people he's

00:15:16.240 been saying,

00:15:17.120 and I've

00:15:17.640 been watching

00:15:18.040 some of his

00:15:18.500 messages saying

00:15:19.160 that we need

00:15:19.560 to go harder

00:15:20.220 on Ukraine.

00:15:21.180 I would have

00:15:21.560 won this thing

00:15:22.120 in six months.

00:15:23.320 These guys

00:15:23.740 up in the

00:15:24.120 Kremlin,

00:15:24.640 they're being

00:15:25.000 counters,

00:15:25.560 they're trying

00:15:25.880 to do things

00:15:26.300 carefully.

00:15:26.600 We should

00:15:27.120 go hard.

00:15:27.880 But that's

00:15:28.140 not the

00:15:28.420 strategy that

00:15:29.040 Russian military

00:15:29.620 wanted to

00:15:29.980 follow.

00:15:30.680 That's right.

00:15:31.200 Exactly.

00:15:31.620 And for

00:15:32.000 people who

00:15:32.440 think that

00:15:33.000 if this

00:15:34.160 guy was

00:15:34.780 going to

00:15:35.020 take over

00:15:35.400 the Kremlin,

00:15:36.020 that somehow

00:15:36.460 it would be

00:15:36.940 better for

00:15:37.780 Ukraine or

00:15:38.440 better for

00:15:38.960 NATO or

00:15:39.420 better for

00:15:39.820 the world.

00:15:40.420 I think

00:15:40.760 they have

00:15:40.960 another thing

00:15:41.360 in common.

00:15:42.060 They think

00:15:42.480 Putin would

00:15:42.800 use tactical

00:15:43.300 news.

00:15:43.600 This guy

00:15:43.880 would take

00:15:44.220 him right

00:15:44.680 out of the

00:15:45.160 box on

00:15:46.240 day one.

00:15:47.780 And so it

00:15:48.340 seems though

00:15:49.040 none of the

00:15:50.300 officers of the

00:15:51.120 Wagner group

00:15:51.640 actually took

00:15:52.400 part in this.

00:15:53.440 We're still

00:15:53.720 trying to get

00:15:54.340 an exact

00:15:54.860 number.

00:15:55.440 We probably

00:15:56.000 never will

00:15:56.520 get an exact

00:15:57.020 number of

00:15:57.720 how many

00:15:58.000 actually did.

00:15:58.560 I've heard

00:15:58.840 some people

00:15:59.240 say it was

00:15:59.600 1,000.

00:16:00.220 I've seen

00:16:00.440 people say

00:16:00.880 as many

00:16:01.160 as 4,000.

00:16:02.220 It does

00:16:02.700 not appear

00:16:03.220 that any

00:16:03.640 of the

00:16:03.960 officer corps

00:16:04.860 actually agreed

00:16:06.200 with Purgosian

00:16:07.020 in this.

00:16:07.440 And of course

00:16:07.800 you have to

00:16:08.180 imagine yourself

00:16:09.000 sitting in the

00:16:10.100 bank of one

00:16:10.540 of those tanks

00:16:11.120 going about

00:16:11.800 50, 60

00:16:12.840 miles an hour

00:16:13.420 down the

00:16:13.760 highway,

00:16:14.400 got to

00:16:14.600 stop to

00:16:14.960 refuel,

00:16:15.540 got to

00:16:15.760 have basic

00:16:16.300 logistics,

00:16:17.400 20 hours

00:16:18.520 up to

00:16:18.840 Moscow going

00:16:20.300 that speed.

00:16:20.940 And you're

00:16:21.080 thinking,

00:16:21.420 are we really

00:16:21.820 going to do

00:16:24.340 20 years

00:16:25.080 old, 22

00:16:25.660 years old,

00:16:26.260 you just

00:16:26.840 got out of

00:16:27.240 prison on

00:16:27.740 one of

00:16:27.960 these contracts

00:16:28.500 and this

00:16:29.400 is your

00:16:29.660 next move?

00:16:30.500 Yeah, I

00:16:30.780 don't think

00:16:31.100 so.

00:16:31.360 And then

00:16:31.600 finally, of

00:16:32.180 course, being

00:16:34.260 sent over to

00:16:34.800 Belarus, we're

00:16:35.320 still not sure

00:16:36.020 the outline of

00:16:38.200 this deal with

00:16:39.340 Lukashenko, is

00:16:40.360 there going to

00:16:40.740 be, is Wagner

00:16:41.860 going to still

00:16:42.340 be a force

00:16:43.140 within the

00:16:44.160 war?

00:16:44.680 Are they going

00:16:45.000 to be doing

00:16:45.420 internal security?

00:16:46.560 Is he being

00:16:47.040 sent by, we

00:16:47.600 just don't

00:16:47.960 know.

00:16:48.460 But I guess

00:16:48.800 my question to

00:16:49.440 you, and

00:16:49.640 we have about

00:16:50.040 two more minutes

00:16:50.700 until the

00:16:51.040 break, could

00:16:52.680 this have been

00:16:53.660 potentially

00:16:54.400 something that

00:16:56.400 was Western

00:16:57.000 backed?

00:16:57.600 There's been a

00:16:58.060 lot of talk

00:16:58.940 about that, a

00:17:00.060 lot of rumors,

00:17:00.980 but we have

00:17:01.340 no way of

00:17:02.520 knowing for

00:17:02.960 sure.

00:17:03.260 But could

00:17:03.720 it have been

00:17:04.120 with your

00:17:04.400 intel hat

00:17:04.900 on?

00:17:06.120 So two

00:17:06.800 things.

00:17:07.220 First, the

00:17:08.240 gang of

00:17:08.620 eight, the

00:17:09.300 intel folks

00:17:10.100 from both

00:17:10.460 sides of

00:17:10.900 the house

00:17:11.200 were briefed

00:17:12.040 recently on

00:17:12.660 something.

00:17:13.340 I think this

00:17:13.920 was the

00:17:14.240 something they

00:17:14.700 were briefed

00:17:15.160 on.

00:17:15.300 I don't

00:17:15.520 know that,

00:17:15.920 but I

00:17:16.120 suspect it.

00:17:17.340 And I

00:17:17.540 think what

00:17:17.840 happened,

00:17:18.320 Jack, the

00:17:18.620 reason that

00:17:19.180 Purgosian

00:17:20.180 was so

00:17:20.540 confident is

00:17:21.140 I think he

00:17:21.780 told the

00:17:23.540 West, us,

00:17:24.440 what he was

00:17:25.060 about to

00:17:25.460 do.

00:17:26.060 And he

00:17:26.580 basically

00:17:26.980 probably said

00:17:27.820 in his very

00:17:28.560 over-the-top

00:17:29.260 manner, I'm

00:17:30.320 going to do

00:17:30.680 this, are

00:17:31.020 you with me

00:17:31.520 or not?

00:17:32.500 And I

00:17:32.840 think that's

00:17:33.400 why he

00:17:34.680 did what he

00:17:35.260 did.

00:17:35.460 He thought

00:17:35.780 maybe there

00:17:36.200 would be an

00:17:36.640 extended

00:17:37.080 Western support.

00:17:38.120 Remember, he

00:17:38.540 picked up the

00:17:39.120 Western line on

00:17:40.800 a number of

00:17:41.440 things he was

00:17:42.120 saying publicly.

00:17:42.920 He was

00:17:43.120 actually reinforcing

00:17:44.100 the Western

00:17:45.500 narrative.

00:17:46.060 Well, why

00:17:46.420 would you do

00:17:46.840 that without

00:17:47.280 motivation?

00:17:47.840 Well, I

00:17:48.160 think the

00:17:48.420 motivation was

00:17:49.060 to try to

00:17:49.420 draw in

00:17:50.080 NATO or

00:17:51.620 the West.

00:17:52.560 And so I

00:17:53.220 think that

00:17:53.720 was why

00:17:54.180 Purgosian was 0.99

00:17:54.860 doing what

00:17:55.260 he was

00:17:55.500 doing.

00:17:55.820 The question

00:17:56.180 becomes, what

00:17:57.560 if anything,

00:17:58.220 did the

00:17:58.700 West promise

00:17:59.500 or not

00:17:59.860 promise?

00:18:00.260 Remember, the

00:18:00.780 moment the

00:18:01.740 Russians brought 1.00

00:18:02.280 this up, I

00:18:02.840 think within

00:18:03.240 the last

00:18:03.760 eight hours,

00:18:04.920 the Russians

00:18:05.220 brought it

00:18:05.600 up saying,

00:18:06.140 we're interested

00:18:06.720 to see if

00:18:07.100 there's any

00:18:07.320 Western

00:18:07.660 involvement in

00:18:08.340 this.

00:18:09.300 The Biden

00:18:10.360 White House

00:18:10.840 immediately said,

00:18:11.440 oh, nothing

00:18:12.340 to see here,

00:18:13.020 which is always

00:18:13.520 like, really?

00:18:14.380 Nothing to

00:18:14.840 see here?

00:18:15.460 So we'll

00:18:15.860 see.

00:18:16.660 But I

00:18:16.920 think, Jack,

00:18:17.860 this issue

00:18:19.220 is the only

00:18:19.900 reason Purgosian

00:18:20.880 is still

00:18:21.200 breathing.

00:18:22.200 I think

00:18:22.820 there's a

00:18:23.680 polonium 210

00:18:24.420 cocktail in

00:18:25.300 his future,

00:18:26.300 Purgosian.

00:18:27.080 But I think

00:18:27.760 that Putin's 0.51

00:18:28.540 holding off on

00:18:29.120 that because

00:18:29.320 he wants to

00:18:29.840 know, too,

00:18:30.320 what did

00:18:30.700 Purgosian say

00:18:31.380 or not say

00:18:32.440 regarding engaging

00:18:35.000 the West on

00:18:35.660 the issues of

00:18:36.200 what he just

00:18:36.640 attempted over

00:18:37.220 the weekend.

00:18:38.580 Well, I think

00:18:39.280 that's exactly

00:18:39.840 right.

00:18:40.320 And we'll see

00:18:41.100 who's waiting

00:18:41.600 for him in

00:18:42.260 that hotel in

00:18:43.380 Minsk, where

00:18:43.980 we're told

00:18:44.440 that he's

00:18:45.420 traveled to.

00:18:46.000 Now, stay

00:18:46.320 tuned, folks,

00:18:46.920 we're going

00:18:47.380 to continue

00:18:47.880 this fascinating

00:18:48.740 conversation with

00:18:49.920 Lieutenant Colonel

00:18:50.500 Tony Schaefer.

00:18:51.320 He's peeling

00:18:52.100 back the veil on

00:18:53.140 the shadowy world

00:18:53.980 of intelligence

00:18:54.520 operations.

00:18:55.580 Eastern Europe.

00:18:56.120 Stay tuned.

00:18:56.520 Human

00:18:56.680 Defense

00:18:56.880 continues.

00:19:00.180 All right,

00:19:00.820 Jack

00:19:01.000 Pacific, we're

00:19:01.500 back here at

00:19:02.080 Human Events.

00:19:02.920 Now, Lieutenant

00:19:03.700 Colonel Schaefer,

00:19:04.320 the last time I

00:19:05.120 had you on, we

00:19:06.180 were talking

00:19:06.800 about the

00:19:07.660 Harkova Dam

00:19:08.440 incident, the

00:19:09.880 breaking of this

00:19:10.500 dam, the

00:19:10.920 explosion, which,

00:19:11.900 by the way, has

00:19:12.220 still completely

00:19:12.780 been uninvestigated,

00:19:14.080 resulted in the

00:19:14.960 deaths of thousands

00:19:15.980 of Russian

00:19:17.020 soldiers as well

00:19:17.860 as civilians who

00:19:18.540 live on both

00:19:19.100 sides of this

00:19:19.660 river.

00:19:20.440 But one of the

00:19:22.000 big key questions

00:19:23.660 I was asking you

00:19:24.860 was, what does

00:19:26.340 this mean for the

00:19:27.180 security of the

00:19:28.440 Zaporizhia nuclear

00:19:29.560 power plant?

00:19:30.620 because this

00:19:31.580 reservoir that that

00:19:32.740 dam held back,

00:19:33.640 people put it all

00:19:34.280 together, the

00:19:35.160 reservoir was the

00:19:36.480 coolant source for

00:19:38.140 the power plant.

00:19:38.880 Every nuclear power

00:19:39.620 plant needs a

00:19:40.900 ready water source,

00:19:43.640 a large water

00:19:44.440 source at hand in

00:19:45.920 order to continue

00:19:46.740 this.

00:19:47.060 That's why in the

00:19:47.600 Navy, we're able to

00:19:48.380 use nuclear power

00:19:49.100 very easily on our

00:19:50.840 ships and subs.

00:19:51.560 Every U.S.

00:19:52.560 Navy sub currently

00:19:53.460 in operation is a

00:19:55.620 nuclear-powered sub.

00:19:56.880 Our aircraft carriers

00:19:57.960 have two reactors

00:19:58.840 inside them, and

00:20:00.240 it's because of

00:20:00.800 this.

00:20:01.020 But if you take

00:20:01.660 that water source

00:20:02.600 away, then the

00:20:04.120 power plant does,

00:20:05.560 even if it's

00:20:05.940 offline, even if

00:20:06.780 it's disconnected,

00:20:07.620 the nuclear energy

00:20:09.100 is still being,

00:20:10.080 those rods are still

00:20:11.340 active, right?

00:20:11.820 And we learned this,

00:20:12.700 of course, from

00:20:13.540 Chernobyl, which was

00:20:14.660 also and is also on

00:20:16.300 the territory of

00:20:17.160 Ukraine.

00:20:17.880 The question then

00:20:18.600 becomes, and David

00:20:19.980 Sachs on Twitter, who

00:20:21.220 I follow on Ukraine,

00:20:23.240 not on everything, but

00:20:24.560 I follow him on

00:20:25.040 Ukraine, he says,

00:20:26.200 is a Gulf of Tonkin

00:20:27.920 moment at hand?

00:20:29.540 Shortly after

00:20:30.020 returning from his

00:20:30.700 last trip to Kiev,

00:20:31.600 Senator Graham, along

00:20:32.820 with Blumenthal,

00:20:33.560 introduced a

00:20:34.120 resolution providing

00:20:35.040 Article 5 guarantees

00:20:36.660 to Ukraine in the

00:20:39.120 event that, among

00:20:39.920 other things, a

00:20:41.280 nuclear facility is

00:20:43.080 destroyed in Ukraine.

00:20:44.720 So you called it,

00:20:45.880 Tony, this nuclear

00:20:47.060 plant seems to be at

00:20:48.120 the center of

00:20:48.900 something.

00:20:49.520 What's going on?

00:20:51.340 So the center,

00:20:53.040 because it actually

00:20:54.000 generates a lot of

00:20:54.740 power for the region,

00:20:55.500 I mean, for

00:20:56.140 everybody, it's a

00:20:57.140 big source of

00:20:58.160 power, you don't

00:20:58.700 want to mess with

00:20:59.160 that.

00:20:59.940 But to your point, I

00:21:01.420 think you have

00:21:01.960 neocons and neolibs

00:21:03.420 trying hard behind the

00:21:04.620 scenes to get some

00:21:05.900 hook in that puts

00:21:08.180 us, the United

00:21:09.040 States, in direct

00:21:09.840 conflict with Russia.

00:21:11.400 I just don't think

00:21:12.320 it's wise.

00:21:14.020 But let's just focus

00:21:15.500 on the power plant

00:21:16.160 for a second.

00:21:16.780 To your point,

00:21:17.420 Jack, there's a

00:21:20.100 series out right now

00:21:21.140 on Netflix called

00:21:21.960 The Days.

00:21:22.680 The Days, it

00:21:23.280 actually covers

00:21:23.940 Fukushima.

00:21:24.480 So if people want

00:21:25.280 to understand what

00:21:26.740 you just said, that's

00:21:27.560 a great way of

00:21:28.140 looking at it.

00:21:29.080 It goes through and

00:21:29.780 talks about the

00:21:30.640 nuclear pile and

00:21:31.720 water.

00:21:32.740 If you don't have

00:21:33.240 coolant, what

00:21:33.760 happens?

00:21:34.240 Will it melt

00:21:34.680 down?

00:21:35.720 That's why if you

00:21:36.420 go to any nuclear

00:21:37.060 power plant in your

00:21:38.520 neck of the woods in

00:21:39.320 Pennsylvania or down

00:21:40.400 here in North Carolina

00:21:41.120 where I'm at, you

00:21:42.200 see the white steam

00:21:43.740 coming off the

00:21:44.360 nuclear power plants.

00:21:45.200 That's coolant.

00:21:45.880 That's just water

00:21:46.580 basically being used to

00:21:48.180 drive steep turbines.

00:21:49.400 This goes back to

00:21:50.220 steam locomotives.

00:21:51.340 Yeah, it's water

00:21:53.120 vapor.

00:21:53.540 The basic premise

00:21:55.260 for these nuclear

00:21:56.120 plants go back to

00:21:57.220 the first steam

00:21:58.200 locomotives at the

00:21:59.860 turn of the 19th

00:22:02.040 century.

00:22:02.580 So this is just

00:22:04.020 basically energy.

00:22:05.700 And if you don't

00:22:06.380 have water to

00:22:08.040 cool and control

00:22:09.800 the energy, it'll

00:22:10.960 get out of control.

00:22:11.780 And that's what's

00:22:12.260 going on at the

00:22:12.860 Zaporizzo nuclear

00:22:14.040 plant.

00:22:14.800 You have a certain

00:22:15.560 amount of coolant

00:22:16.180 that was available

00:22:16.980 that was coming in

00:22:18.280 from the reservoir.

00:22:19.000 Now there's about,

00:22:20.520 I'd say, about two

00:22:21.280 weeks left of that

00:22:22.100 because it's not

00:22:22.860 being replenished.

00:22:24.320 And I think that's

00:22:25.500 a real danger here.

00:22:26.420 And that's where

00:22:27.040 some of the folks

00:22:28.740 on the U.S.

00:22:29.700 side may be trying

00:22:30.500 to create triggers

00:22:31.420 to say, oh, the

00:22:33.460 plant melted down

00:22:34.280 because of the 0.85

00:22:34.840 Russians.

00:22:35.820 Now it's time for us

00:22:36.660 to jump in because,

00:22:37.480 you know, nuclear,

00:22:38.140 it's all, it's

00:22:39.100 terrible.

00:22:40.120 And I think they're

00:22:40.780 going to try to use

00:22:41.300 that narrative to get

00:22:42.440 us more directly

00:22:43.440 involved.

00:22:44.400 I don't think, again,

00:22:45.040 I don't think it's

00:22:45.580 necessary.

00:22:45.940 I don't think it's

00:22:46.280 wise, but it is

00:22:47.340 something to be

00:22:48.120 concerned about

00:22:49.060 relating to the

00:22:49.720 region and stability

00:22:50.520 at this point in time.

00:22:52.780 Well, I think that's

00:22:53.520 exactly right because,

00:22:54.780 look, I mean, this is

00:22:55.300 something over on the

00:22:55.940 Navy side.

00:22:56.560 We had the great

00:22:57.300 Admiral Hyman Rickover,

00:22:59.380 the father of the

00:23:00.160 nuclear Navy, one of

00:23:01.320 the first military

00:23:02.960 officers anywhere in

00:23:04.260 the world to embrace

00:23:05.900 nuclear technology the

00:23:07.300 way that he did all

00:23:08.100 the way back in the

00:23:08.720 1950s, right?

00:23:09.800 Right after the bombs

00:23:10.740 were dropped, Rickover

00:23:12.040 comes in and says,

00:23:12.980 this is what we're

00:23:13.620 doing.

00:23:13.940 He became one of the

00:23:15.540 most storied,

00:23:16.300 legendary Navy

00:23:17.400 officers in all of

00:23:18.880 history because he

00:23:19.680 said we're, by sheer

00:23:20.980 force of will, by sheer

00:23:22.700 force of will, he was

00:23:23.840 able to push nuclear

00:23:24.860 power in through that

00:23:26.860 source.

00:23:27.300 That's what powers the

00:23:28.620 United States' ability to

00:23:30.060 be able to project our

00:23:31.240 aircraft carriers and

00:23:32.800 through that American 0.57

00:23:34.420 force projection

00:23:35.180 throughout the world in

00:23:36.380 terms of international

00:23:37.160 affairs.

00:23:38.220 So it's all predicated

00:23:40.040 on this basic notion

00:23:41.380 that you have an

00:23:42.560 extremely, extremely

00:23:44.440 capable and extremely

00:23:46.680 accessible water source.

00:23:48.300 If you cut that off,

00:23:49.940 and then the question,

00:23:50.640 of course, look, Russia

00:23:51.600 has already has, this

00:23:52.720 was in the opening days

00:23:54.060 of the invasion, that

00:23:56.060 power plant in

00:23:56.880 Zaporizhia, which is

00:23:58.060 right across from

00:23:58.700 Ukrainian held territory

00:24:00.080 in Kherson.

00:24:01.300 This was one of their

00:24:02.400 first takeovers, one of

00:24:03.720 their first targets

00:24:04.420 because they identified it

00:24:05.460 obviously as a strategic

00:24:06.680 target to control for

00:24:08.740 power and everything.

00:24:09.860 The Ukrainians have 1.00

00:24:11.060 been chilling.

00:24:11.500 The Ukrainians at one 0.99

00:24:12.420 point, by the way,

00:24:13.200 attempted to conduct an

00:24:14.880 amphibious operation

00:24:16.040 that they then lied

00:24:16.920 about because that was

00:24:18.360 a complete failure just

00:24:19.820 a couple of months ago

00:24:20.680 in order to retake this

00:24:21.900 thing across the river.

00:24:22.880 The Russians were 1.00

00:24:23.340 waiting for it.

00:24:24.260 I have to imagine that

00:24:25.420 their defensive

00:24:26.240 emplacements for the

00:24:27.380 nuclear power plant in

00:24:28.240 Zaporizhia are just as 1.00

00:24:30.500 good or better than they

00:24:32.020 are on the defensive

00:24:32.920 lines, again, in the

00:24:33.960 same region where

00:24:34.720 they're conducting the

00:24:35.340 counter-offensive, other

00:24:36.280 just in another section

00:24:37.500 of the oblast.

00:24:38.240 But what would the

00:24:40.320 potential fallout be,

00:24:42.260 literally, in this case,

00:24:44.320 fallout be of an actual

00:24:46.880 shelling of the reactor

00:24:48.360 itself?

00:24:50.300 Well, a nuclear reactor

00:24:53.340 by itself is not

00:24:54.660 necessarily dangerous, as

00:24:56.260 you point out.

00:24:56.920 There's certain things

00:24:57.860 you can scram it.

00:24:59.240 Normally, scramming a

00:25:00.600 nuclear power plant

00:25:01.440 basically takes all the

00:25:02.980 rods and puts them into

00:25:04.460 carbon to basically shut

00:25:05.520 it down.

00:25:05.900 It takes some time for it

00:25:06.860 to cool down.

00:25:07.380 But the idea is that

00:25:08.860 there's control rods and

00:25:11.440 there's this big pile of

00:25:12.660 carbon that's supposed to

00:25:13.920 basically damper the

00:25:15.520 nuclear energy reaction.

00:25:17.740 This all will happen.

00:25:19.520 But even if you do it

00:25:20.780 safely, shut it down

00:25:21.520 safely, Jack, you lose

00:25:22.620 the power.

00:25:23.580 Nobody wants to lose the

00:25:24.620 power either side.

00:25:25.560 And I think this is where

00:25:26.400 there's some real danger.

00:25:27.740 And I think both sides are

00:25:30.400 doing things to be

00:25:31.300 provocative.

00:25:32.060 Nobody is clean here.

00:25:33.480 But I do believe at this

00:25:35.300 point, the Ukrainians see

00:25:36.720 more benefit of making

00:25:39.000 this a hazard that people

00:25:40.680 have to pay attention to

00:25:41.600 because if you if you

00:25:42.720 scream loud enough and say

00:25:43.800 this is a danger, people

00:25:45.360 may come in and help you.

00:25:46.260 And I think that's what the

00:25:47.100 Ukrainians are trying to do 0.99

00:25:48.020 right now.

00:25:49.220 And so and the Russians, I

00:25:51.080 think, recognize the

00:25:51.900 importance of this

00:25:52.600 facility.

00:25:52.960 They're doing everything they

00:25:53.760 can to strengthen it.

00:25:54.540 I think this is part of

00:25:56.320 their layered defenses.

00:25:57.860 Jack, you and I, as

00:25:58.600 military guys, I think

00:25:59.780 have looked at this

00:26:01.440 probably a little bit.

00:26:02.440 The Russians have been 1.00

00:26:03.140 brilliant in adapting

00:26:04.440 certain basic World War

00:26:08.380 II techniques of building

00:26:10.400 trenches and adapting it

00:26:12.460 for the 21st century.

00:26:13.420 They've completely baffled

00:26:14.620 and stymied the Ukrainian

00:26:16.640 breaching operations by the

00:26:18.360 way they kind of flip the

00:26:19.920 script on on these things.

00:26:21.120 So the Russians are 0.98

00:26:23.980 smarter than your average 0.94

00:26:25.020 bear, so to speak, if I

00:26:26.440 could coin a phrase.

00:26:27.780 And I think they've

00:26:28.520 outperformed, overperformed

00:26:31.240 expectation of what was

00:26:33.140 expected from the

00:26:34.020 Ukrainians going in to do 0.99

00:26:36.220 the counteroffensive.

00:26:37.180 And I think the Russians 0.98

00:26:37.900 are going to hold tight.

00:26:39.140 And I think they're going

00:26:39.720 to figure out a way to

00:26:40.600 keep this this this

00:26:41.900 this nuclear power plant

00:26:43.820 going critical.

00:26:44.740 If even it means of them

00:26:45.820 doing something, trust me,

00:26:47.560 Jack, they remember

00:26:48.240 Chernobyl.

00:26:48.820 They don't want that again.

00:26:49.640 So I think they're

00:26:50.240 probably working on this

00:26:51.120 more than we understand

00:26:52.040 at this point.

00:26:52.620 That's exactly right.

00:26:54.480 And Chernobyl being itself

00:26:55.660 so close to the territory

00:26:56.980 of Belarus, that also

00:26:58.660 raises this question of

00:27:00.140 so Purgosian has been

00:27:01.720 sent to Belarus.

00:27:02.480 We're told that he's

00:27:03.700 holed up in a hotel there.

00:27:05.660 I guess the question is,

00:27:06.520 who was waiting for him

00:27:07.540 in that hotel room when

00:27:08.660 Purgosian showed up? 0.99

00:27:09.660 Was it was it the Wagner

00:27:10.800 guys or was it FSB saying,

00:27:13.160 please take a seat, Mr.

00:27:14.800 Yvigny, please take a seat.

00:27:16.160 Jenya, we're going to we're

00:27:17.440 going to have a little

00:27:18.060 conversation over the course

00:27:19.600 of the next few days.

00:27:21.160 But then it also gets us

00:27:22.540 to this because, of course,

00:27:23.540 there's no big, you know,

00:27:24.900 fanfare.

00:27:25.740 Lukashenko is not exactly

00:27:26.740 going out to meet him

00:27:27.820 because, as we said,

00:27:29.200 he's he's gained a certain

00:27:30.540 degree of popularity

00:27:31.500 with with the common man,

00:27:33.640 with the soldiery because

00:27:34.560 of his victory in Bakhmut.

00:27:36.380 But at the same time,

00:27:37.420 just like with MacArthur

00:27:38.920 going up against Truman,

00:27:40.020 you you take a run at the

00:27:41.240 big dog and you are going

00:27:42.940 to get you are going to be

00:27:44.460 on a one way ticket out of

00:27:46.280 there.

00:27:46.880 And so that being said,

00:27:49.180 Belarus also has just

00:27:51.280 received nuclear weapons.

00:27:53.500 We are told that these were

00:27:54.800 transferred at some point

00:27:55.960 over the past few weeks.

00:27:57.120 And so the question on a lot

00:27:58.500 of people's minds is,

00:27:59.580 is Belarus ready to make a

00:28:01.300 move?

00:28:01.880 Is Wagner group part of that

00:28:03.800 or is all of this just a

00:28:05.760 more shifting of the chess

00:28:07.960 board to prevent NATO from

00:28:11.100 doing anything in Belarus?

00:28:13.220 I think it's about NATO.

00:28:14.680 Look, Purgosian was more

00:28:17.560 of an administrator than

00:28:18.640 an actual field commander. 0.98

00:28:20.120 Jack Purgosian was a bully. 0.85

00:28:22.240 It was a chef, spent time 0.99

00:28:23.740 in president.

00:28:24.180 He was one of the oligarchs

00:28:25.100 came up with with Putin.

00:28:27.140 So I think the military

00:28:28.940 control, the reinsertion of

00:28:30.480 the military control over

00:28:31.740 Wagner is probably long

00:28:34.740 overdue.

00:28:35.920 One of the reasons that

00:28:37.000 Purgosian was doing what he 0.98

00:28:38.260 did is because Putin needed

00:28:39.860 a completely plausible,

00:28:41.800 deniable organization that

00:28:44.280 could do things which

00:28:45.680 basically violate Russian

00:28:47.260 law on a daily basis.

00:28:48.440 Let's just face it,

00:28:49.500 Wagner violates Russian

00:28:50.780 law.

00:28:51.480 That's why they're there.

00:28:52.360 They're the blunt force

00:28:54.220 instrument to do Russian

00:28:56.060 foreign policy in ways that

00:28:58.680 they cannot do legally within

00:29:00.300 their political system.

00:29:01.660 So I think it's they've been

00:29:02.860 pulled back out of

00:29:04.200 Purgosian's control back and

00:29:05.620 given back to the army,

00:29:06.760 whatever that means at this

00:29:07.800 point.

00:29:08.100 I don't think it's going to

00:29:08.760 stay that way.

00:29:09.360 But the larger issue relating

00:29:11.740 to what happens to

00:29:13.880 Purgosian and where this

00:29:15.340 goes regarding foreign

00:29:16.300 policy.

00:29:17.320 Well, I think it is all

00:29:18.420 about Putin reminding

00:29:20.720 NATO, you don't want to do

00:29:22.260 things which will expand the

00:29:23.620 conflict.

00:29:24.680 I remember there's two other

00:29:25.480 things that we have not

00:29:26.280 talked about today.

00:29:27.080 First off, if he survives

00:29:29.280 the coup, that is, or the

00:29:30.640 insurrection, Putin, that is,

00:29:32.900 will he maintain his power?

00:29:34.420 Well, after 91, when

00:29:37.400 Gorbachev had the attempted

00:29:39.840 coup, he didn't last very

00:29:41.100 long.

00:29:41.760 Yeltsin came in.

00:29:42.940 On the other hand, in 1961,

00:29:46.140 Charles de Gaulle had an

00:29:47.500 attempted military coup.

00:29:48.600 He did fine and went on to

00:29:49.800 leave France for a long time.

00:29:51.300 Erdogan, leader of Turkey,

00:29:53.500 had an attempted coup and

00:29:54.700 went on to leave Turkey, even

00:29:56.600 to this day.

00:29:57.280 So I think it's the latter.

00:29:59.180 Erdogan was able to stave off

00:30:00.460 a strong electoral challenge

00:30:02.280 just a couple of months ago.

00:30:03.160 So, Tony, we're coming up

00:30:04.460 on our hard break.

00:30:05.180 Where can people go to

00:30:05.960 follow you and get more of

00:30:07.180 your fantastic analysis?

00:30:10.280 Londoncenter.org and

00:30:11.440 projectcentral.net.

00:30:12.500 And Jack, as always, I enjoy

00:30:13.600 our conversations.

00:30:14.340 I hope we can do it again

00:30:14.960 real soon.

00:30:16.340 God bless, Tony.

00:30:16.960 We'll have you back on

00:30:17.600 because this story is not

00:30:19.180 going away.

00:30:19.800 Folks, by the way, just to

00:30:20.940 mention it, Nancy Pelosi,

00:30:22.960 mainstream media.

00:30:24.040 That's what a real armed

00:30:25.480 insurrection looks like, by

00:30:27.320 the way.

00:30:27.760 It's going to be very hard for

00:30:29.720 all of you to paint

00:30:31.220 President Trump in January

00:30:32.800 6th as insurrectionists

00:30:34.660 after we've seen what the

00:30:36.180 real thing looks like.

00:30:37.720 Because subconsciously,

00:30:38.860 you guys have painted all

00:30:40.460 of yourselves in a corner.

00:30:41.940 Richard Barris joins us next

00:30:44.120 for a breakdown, not on

00:30:46.020 the insurrection, but a

00:30:47.220 breakdown on the campaign,

00:30:48.880 the horse race, everything

00:30:49.980 that's going on in the new

00:30:51.060 states.

00:30:51.360 Stop buzzing in my ear about

00:30:55.020 the boring people at your

00:30:56.520 office.

00:30:57.000 I'm trying to listen to the

00:30:58.120 new human events with Jack

00:31:00.140 Pozovic.

00:31:01.720 All right, we're back here,

00:31:02.740 human events.

00:31:03.380 Now, we're talking about

00:31:04.240 international affairs.

00:31:05.460 We've got to bring it back to

00:31:06.860 the affairs of state here in

00:31:09.140 the U.S.

00:31:09.560 President Trump, two massive

00:31:11.520 speeches, barn burners over

00:31:14.140 the weekend.

00:31:15.620 Richard Barris joins us now,

00:31:17.440 the people's pundit.

00:31:18.200 And, Rich, I got to ask you

00:31:19.200 because, you know, you've

00:31:20.380 been coming on here since

00:31:21.480 we've been doing the live

00:31:22.340 show, week after week, and

00:31:24.340 you're telling us that you

00:31:25.660 are seeing that doesn't look

00:31:27.380 like there's a lane for any

00:31:28.680 of these anti-Trump primary

00:31:30.120 candidates.

00:31:30.840 You're saying that there's

00:31:31.880 some shakeup potentially at

00:31:33.140 the second tier.

00:31:33.920 People are looking to look at

00:31:35.280 vice presidential track,

00:31:37.520 that sort of thing.

00:31:38.380 But you've been walking us

00:31:39.620 through chapter and verse.

00:31:41.180 And yet I see the comments

00:31:42.460 online.

00:31:42.960 People are saying, Barris

00:31:43.960 doesn't know what he's

00:31:44.800 talking about. 1.00

00:31:45.980 Barris is nuts. 0.99

00:31:46.980 Barris is making up stuff. 1.00

00:31:49.000 He's just saying stuff that

00:31:50.180 Trump people want to hear,

00:31:51.380 et cetera, et cetera.

00:31:52.160 And then I go and look at

00:31:54.080 Politico this morning, and

00:31:55.840 Politico, as an entire

00:31:57.980 article, which, and last

00:31:59.600 time I checked, Rich, and

00:32:00.400 let me just ask you real

00:32:01.500 quick, you know, point

00:32:02.420 blank, do you control

00:32:04.060 Politico?

00:32:04.900 Are you stenographing?

00:32:06.740 Are you ghostwriting for

00:32:08.120 Politico?

00:32:08.620 You don't force them to,

00:32:10.200 you know, write.

00:32:11.260 They said everything exactly

00:32:13.500 as you've been telling us

00:32:15.240 for these weeks.

00:32:16.380 They finally come around

00:32:18.100 because people are used to

00:32:19.900 when they watch human

00:32:20.940 events and when they're

00:32:22.000 paying attention to Richard

00:32:22.760 Barris being weeks ahead of

00:32:24.140 the mainstream media.

00:32:25.440 They said that the DeSantis

00:32:26.880 campaign, their chances in

00:32:28.480 New Hampshire are collapsing

00:32:30.120 because they are hitting a

00:32:31.240 ceiling called Donald J.

00:32:33.360 Trump.

00:32:34.680 Yeah, I don't control

00:32:36.060 Politico, Jack.

00:32:37.320 You know, I'll just tell you

00:32:38.340 this.

00:32:38.880 I don't speak for candidates

00:32:42.140 or anything like that.

00:32:43.960 I speak for the majority

00:32:45.900 that I speak to every day

00:32:48.240 that tends to not.

00:32:49.700 It's always been amazing to

00:32:50.780 me.

00:32:51.420 They don't have the voice in

00:32:53.360 the media that others have

00:32:55.940 and they are the majority.

00:32:58.940 So, you know, we are ahead

00:33:01.740 of everybody because I'm

00:33:02.940 listening.

00:33:04.020 You know, it's really that

00:33:04.860 simple.

00:33:05.620 I'm just simply listening.

00:33:07.080 You know, and if people would

00:33:08.860 do, you know, and I do shows,

00:33:10.480 I go out there, I go on your

00:33:11.460 show, I go on another show

00:33:12.340 and I talk, but I spend most

00:33:14.020 of my day listening and I

00:33:15.620 think that's the big

00:33:16.260 difference.

00:33:17.540 It comes down to that.

00:33:18.600 Well, walk us through this

00:33:20.000 piece, walk us through New

00:33:21.220 Hampshire and of course I

00:33:22.720 have to ask, is this

00:33:24.020 something that's localized

00:33:25.260 to this early state?

00:33:27.100 Of course, New Hampshire

00:33:27.660 being the first state that

00:33:29.540 gave Donald Trump a victory

00:33:30.800 all the way back in 2016.

00:33:32.380 He did not win the Iowa

00:33:33.360 caucuses.

00:33:34.060 Is this something that's

00:33:35.080 localized to New Hampshire

00:33:36.180 or are you seeing the same

00:33:37.540 kind of trend throughout some

00:33:39.040 of the other early states?

00:33:40.180 Paint that picture for us.

00:33:41.460 There, there is, like I

00:33:43.920 said last week, a constant

00:33:45.380 reshuffling of the bottom

00:33:46.780 tier candidates and

00:33:48.200 DeSantis' fall over the

00:33:50.300 last, let's say, month or

00:33:51.640 so, a little bit, it's been

00:33:52.600 more than that, but let's

00:33:54.180 say month or so, is now

00:33:55.540 going to start resonating

00:33:57.080 in the state.

00:33:58.180 So national polling tends

00:34:00.000 to lead statewide polling.

00:34:02.040 That's why the argument

00:34:02.900 that we would hear from

00:34:04.380 DeSantis and other people

00:34:05.560 that, you know, that

00:34:06.540 campaign and other

00:34:07.560 people, that national polls

00:34:09.140 don't matter.

00:34:10.080 It really comes down to the

00:34:11.080 states, got to look at the

00:34:11.900 number in the states.

00:34:13.400 I don't know.

00:34:14.000 I mean, you know, Politico

00:34:14.840 said it, rookie move here,

00:34:16.400 rookie move there.

00:34:17.600 Everybody knows that

00:34:18.780 national trends tend to

00:34:20.680 lead the states, and we are

00:34:23.160 starting to see that in

00:34:24.460 other places.

00:34:25.380 South Carolina, Tim Scott,

00:34:27.920 Nikki Haley have a

00:34:29.080 significant share of the

00:34:30.100 vote compared to DeSantis.

00:34:31.460 There's been several polls

00:34:33.200 and ours as well, which show

00:34:35.580 that he is threatening to

00:34:36.640 fall into third place in

00:34:37.780 some of these.

00:34:38.300 New Hampshire is just the

00:34:40.000 latest, where Chris Christie

00:34:41.020 is starting now to nip on

00:34:42.240 his heels, and Chris Christie

00:34:43.760 is launching an all-in

00:34:45.540 campaign on New Hampshire.

00:34:47.860 So this idea, you know,

00:34:50.000 that somehow, again, it was

00:34:53.480 the first state that gave

00:34:54.380 Trump a victory in 16, but

00:34:56.260 he did it with like 33% of

00:34:58.200 the vote.

00:34:58.560 Jack, we're not talking

00:34:59.560 about that this time.

00:35:01.040 You know, this is a

00:35:02.180 proportional state, but his

00:35:03.960 lead is so big, it would be

00:35:06.700 win or take most.

00:35:08.120 I mean, that's where we're

00:35:08.920 at, and you have to reach a

00:35:10.680 threshold in a lot of these

00:35:12.020 states to either gain

00:35:13.440 delegates, and as I pointed

00:35:15.140 out on the show last week

00:35:16.120 to you, last two polls in

00:35:17.660 New Hampshire, very clear

00:35:18.780 that he's at risk of not

00:35:20.660 even getting a single

00:35:21.480 delegate, and he's

00:35:22.700 stumbling.

00:35:22.980 And by the way,

00:35:24.480 actually, just to throw in

00:35:26.420 on that, that's something

00:35:27.480 that, and I have to put this

00:35:29.440 out more myself, is that the

00:35:30.800 Iowa caucuses are also not

00:35:32.400 winner-take-all, and even

00:35:33.760 though we always say that,

00:35:34.820 oh, Trump didn't win Iowa,

00:35:35.640 Trump didn't win Iowa,

00:35:37.180 Iowa ended up essentially

00:35:38.820 being a three-way between

00:35:40.620 Cruz, Trump, and Rubio, and

00:35:44.320 Trump was well within the

00:35:45.520 mix.

00:35:45.820 I think he was at 24%, and

00:35:47.860 then Cruz ended up getting

00:35:48.880 like 27%, so it was very

00:35:51.080 much closer to a three-way

00:35:53.380 tie than a winner-take-all

00:35:54.880 victory.

00:35:55.920 Why does that matter?

00:35:56.680 It matters because of the

00:35:57.640 delegates.

00:35:58.780 Yeah, we have all of these

00:36:00.260 equations for most of these

00:36:02.240 states already that are in

00:36:03.420 stone that we know on the

00:36:05.440 map that we've been

00:36:06.180 sharing, and people can find

00:36:07.320 that on peoplespundit.locals.com,

00:36:09.480 and you can do the math

00:36:10.480 yourself.

00:36:11.060 I mean, at this point, first

00:36:12.460 of all, if the polls were

00:36:14.080 right and we were to hold the

00:36:15.380 Iowa caucuses today, Trump

00:36:17.100 would take a bigger share of

00:36:19.400 the delegates in Iowa than

00:36:21.020 we've seen candidates take in

00:36:22.640 years.

00:36:23.600 I mean, you know, when we're

00:36:24.740 talking about not 2020 when he

00:36:27.780 was running as an incumbent,

00:36:28.880 I'm talking about so

00:36:30.560 supposedly competitive, you

00:36:34.260 know, cycles, where that's not

00:36:36.780 the case this time.

00:36:37.960 I mean, 20% of the vote in the

00:36:39.660 caucus, Jack, when somebody

00:36:41.500 gets 55, is going to end up

00:36:44.480 with you and that second-tier

00:36:45.740 candidate getting most of those

00:36:47.420 delegates, but you actually being

00:36:49.060 able to space yourself out a

00:36:50.860 little bit, it would not be like

00:36:52.360 Cruz's victory, where he got

00:36:53.700 two, three more delegates more

00:36:55.160 than Trump.

00:36:55.700 That was it.

00:36:56.160 But going into New Hampshire,

00:36:58.660 they've always, the DeSantis

00:37:00.140 people have always viewed Iowa

00:37:01.680 as pretty big.

00:37:02.620 That's why they went with the

00:37:03.380 six-week abortion ban, because

00:37:05.100 New Hampshire, they did not

00:37:06.300 think is fertile territory for

00:37:07.540 them.

00:37:07.960 But the political article is

00:37:09.120 wrong about that.

00:37:10.160 It's not because of how

00:37:11.260 moderate or how conservative

00:37:12.520 the electorate is.

00:37:13.600 It comes down to the percentage

00:37:16.700 of the working class.

00:37:17.820 It's white working class.

00:37:18.960 That's why it's not fertile

00:37:19.920 ground for DeSantis against

00:37:21.400 Donald Trump.

00:37:22.100 He actually doesn't do well

00:37:23.480 among working class.

00:37:24.740 He does, his support comes

00:37:27.260 largely from a minority of

00:37:29.480 college-educated voters, not

00:37:30.960 even a majority.

00:37:32.160 And I got to say about that

00:37:33.320 article, Jack, this is the dig

00:37:35.780 about the DeSantis campaign.

00:37:37.380 For those who don't know what

00:37:38.160 we're talking about, the

00:37:38.940 stumble was getting into a

00:37:40.160 fight, yet another unforced

00:37:42.640 error where they don't listen

00:37:44.080 to criticism, and they got

00:37:45.340 into a fight with the

00:37:46.180 Federation of Republican

00:37:47.180 Women in New Hampshire.

00:37:48.800 It's probably the most

00:37:49.960 important group in a primary,

00:37:51.920 a Republican primary in New

00:37:53.080 Hampshire. Traditionally, you

00:37:55.060 do not schedule events that

00:37:57.620 compete with their event.

00:38:00.540 You just wait your turn.

00:38:01.700 They're impartial.

00:38:02.580 They like the appearance of

00:38:03.640 being impartial, and yet they

00:38:04.960 were so mad, two people had to

00:38:06.640 leave because they openly

00:38:08.200 criticized the DeSantis

00:38:09.260 campaign. And instead of

00:38:10.520 saying, I'm sorry, I'll go to

00:38:12.180 Iowa. I'm sorry, I'll go to

00:38:13.420 South Carolina.

00:38:14.760 They decided, fine, we won't be

00:38:16.400 in Concord. We're going to go

00:38:17.360 in another part of the state.

00:38:18.460 What's your problem?

00:38:19.100 This is the deal with these

00:38:20.660 early states. These people want

00:38:22.640 special attention.

00:38:24.360 They are used to it.

00:38:25.480 That's what they get. You

00:38:26.140 don't get into a fight with

00:38:27.220 them over it. You

00:38:27.800 accommodate them.

00:38:29.260 You know, and that kind of,

00:38:30.800 that kind of unforced error.

00:38:33.560 Just like when you're running a

00:38:35.340 presidential campaign, you

00:38:36.460 don't overhype. You don't

00:38:38.240 overhype your announcement.

00:38:39.620 Wait until I announce, and I'm

00:38:41.560 going to somehow close a 40-point

00:38:43.560 gap. You don't do that.

00:38:45.560 That's amateur hour. You don't

00:38:47.300 overpromise and underperform by

00:38:50.220 hyping something. You don't do

00:38:52.100 that. You underpromise and

00:38:53.700 overperform. You don't get in a

00:38:55.640 fight when important grassroots

00:38:57.020 groups. You just go your separate

00:38:59.320 way and say, okay, I'll wait for

00:39:00.760 my turn. They just don't seem to

00:39:02.900 be taking this criticism, and that's

00:39:04.700 what the Politico argument is

00:39:06.940 about, article is really about, and

00:39:09.360 it's becoming a dig. You know, it

00:39:11.540 is. It's now a story.

00:39:14.020 Right. I mean, when you look at

00:39:16.480 something like that, like holding

00:39:17.940 one of these, you know, cross

00:39:19.700 events, and you're saying, oh, it's

00:39:21.000 in a different part of the state.

00:39:22.040 I mean, New Hampshire's not a big

00:39:22.880 state, right? You know, and by the

00:39:24.860 way, how hard would it be?

00:39:25.560 They come from everywhere to come

00:39:26.960 for Jack.

00:39:27.740 Right, right. So how hard would it

00:39:29.860 be to simply, plus they're going to

00:39:31.620 get people out of, you know, parts

00:39:33.500 of the more conservative parts of

00:39:35.000 Massachusetts that'll drive in

00:39:36.680 because they like the candidate.

00:39:38.200 They want to see him. You'll get

00:39:39.220 money out of that. You'll get

00:39:40.160 dollars. I don't think

00:39:41.640 Massachusetts is necessarily a 0.98

00:39:42.620 state where you're going to get a

00:39:44.280 lot of support in a general later

00:39:46.400 on. But of course, there's going

00:39:47.520 to be a draw if you have those

00:39:49.220 names, if you have those candidates,

00:39:50.360 by the way, same deal with with

00:39:52.040 parts of Maine, because Maine,

00:39:53.320 the lower Maine is right there.

00:39:54.780 You are going to find supporters

00:39:56.000 that end up driving in.

00:39:57.560 So this is a huge event.

00:39:59.080 It's not hard. But again, it comes

00:40:00.680 down to, I think, these questions

00:40:02.620 of we're coming up on a break.

00:40:04.300 I want to hold you over for the

00:40:05.260 final segment, though, because this

00:40:07.080 is coming up on a question that we

00:40:08.360 hear over and over. What's going

00:40:10.280 on with these campaigns?

00:40:12.840 And it seems as though with all

00:40:15.100 the money in the world that they

00:40:17.020 seem to keep making error after

00:40:19.580 error when we're told that these

00:40:21.620 are supposed to be the competent

00:40:22.980 ones. These are supposed to be the

00:40:24.440 ones who can get the job done.

00:40:26.480 And yet we see these constant

00:40:28.780 error after error.

00:40:30.220 Whereas Trump, he gets up there and

00:40:32.120 he's been knocking it out of the

00:40:33.760 park week after week.

00:40:36.000 Obviously, he's facing legal trouble,

00:40:37.900 but that's largely out of his hands.

00:40:39.200 I don't think he wants to be doing

00:40:40.380 that, but we're going to stay

00:40:41.160 tuned with Richard Barris because

00:40:43.600 we are going to talk about what

00:40:45.120 the latest is in this primary.

00:40:47.760 The fight, the hunt is on.

00:40:52.080 When I grew up in the hood, I

00:40:53.420 rolled with bloods and them boys

00:40:55.920 had a saying.

00:40:57.180 You can't be listening to all that

00:40:58.560 slappy whack trimatazolitzabam

00:41:00.680 ship, nippy bam bam, like human

00:41:03.200 events with Jack Posobiec.

00:41:06.420 All right, we're back here.

00:41:07.820 Human events.

00:41:08.860 Richard Barris, we're walking

00:41:10.300 through this inexplicable series

00:41:13.640 of self-owned, self-goals,

00:41:18.500 self-inflicted wounds, whatever you

00:41:19.920 want to call it, from this DeSantis

00:41:22.120 campaign in New Hampshire.

00:41:24.140 Certainly something that because of

00:41:25.720 social media is now going to get

00:41:27.220 blown over throughout all the

00:41:29.060 different early states.

00:41:30.660 These are people who talk.

00:41:31.680 And the question I have is, how do

00:41:34.420 you go from, admittedly, DeSantis

00:41:36.720 had a fantastic run just a couple

00:41:39.780 of months ago, what, six or six

00:41:41.700 months out, seven months out from

00:41:43.240 his victory in Florida to a

00:41:46.780 situation like this.

00:41:48.940 Were they not able to just be, was

00:41:50.940 the idea that they were just going

00:41:51.900 to take that 2022 campaign from

00:41:54.720 Tallahassee and then expand it

00:41:56.860 nationwide?

00:41:57.420 What's going on?

00:41:59.180 Well, there's a couple of things.

00:42:00.860 I think people read too much into

00:42:03.420 the 2022 victory in Florida.

00:42:06.320 First of all, there have been

00:42:07.280 demographic things happening in

00:42:08.760 Florida long before Ron DeSantis

00:42:10.240 ever got there.

00:42:11.440 And that was something we argued

00:42:12.680 before 2020 when, you know, we were

00:42:14.880 facing polls.

00:42:16.120 Every time we had Trump ahead, we

00:42:17.500 were facing other pollsters, putting

00:42:18.900 Biden up by, you know, six points or

00:42:20.920 more.

00:42:21.360 And we were trying to explain

00:42:22.880 Florida's changed.

00:42:24.140 It's changing.

00:42:25.320 That's the way it is.

00:42:26.460 It was also a midterm, by the way.

00:42:28.500 And he was running against somebody

00:42:29.960 that neither the left nor the right

00:42:32.140 likes.

00:42:32.820 Charlie Crist is, is an statewide, is

00:42:35.920 an incredibly disliked guy.

00:42:37.680 He's viewed as a turncoat.

00:42:39.100 Rubio was able to beat him for a

00:42:40.600 reason.

00:42:41.140 Then he stuck his finger in his

00:42:42.520 mouth to see which way the wind was

00:42:44.400 blowing during the Obama era and

00:42:46.320 turned into a Democrat.

00:42:47.880 Nobody likes him and not even the

00:42:49.680 Democrats particularly are fond of

00:42:51.280 him.

00:42:51.480 So too much was read into a midterm

00:42:54.260 victory in a gubernatorial election,

00:42:56.740 which is very different than a

00:42:58.440 presidential election.

00:42:59.520 They have zero predictive value,

00:43:01.800 Jack, zero.

00:43:03.120 And the inability to take criticisms

00:43:05.280 and to constantly just attack every

00:43:07.380 time you're given constructive

00:43:08.780 criticism is Larry Hogan, of all

00:43:11.620 people, brought it up last week.

00:43:13.420 This is a major problem because of

00:43:15.260 that.

00:43:15.580 What I was speaking about in the last

00:43:16.920 segment in a state like New Hampshire,

00:43:18.680 because of that, you know, rookie

00:43:21.420 move, whatever you want to call it,

00:43:22.740 when it came to hyping the

00:43:24.360 announcement and then it failing, he

00:43:26.860 lost endorsements.

00:43:28.420 There were two New Hampshire lawmakers

00:43:30.080 who rescinded their endorsements for

00:43:32.660 Ron DeSantis and endorsed Trump.

00:43:34.640 Their statements were very telling.

00:43:36.660 If this campaign cannot run a

00:43:38.680 campaign announcement, they cannot run

00:43:41.000 the country and the White House.

00:43:42.680 So I'm going with a proven guy I know

00:43:44.820 can do it.

00:43:45.640 And it was just so damning.

00:43:47.040 And instead of thinking, maybe we

00:43:48.840 need to retool here. 0.95

00:43:50.160 They don't.

00:43:51.320 I had a consultant, a Republican

00:43:52.900 consultant, this is a friend.

00:43:55.160 I'm going to Texas later this week.

00:43:56.980 I was talking to him about the trip

00:43:58.720 and he said, you know, what's the

00:43:59.900 deal with this campaign?

00:44:01.160 Is the plan just to like piss every

00:44:03.220 Trump supporter off, make them hate

00:44:04.980 him and then beg him for their

00:44:05.940 their vote in a general if Trump

00:44:07.920 isn't on the ballot?

00:44:08.820 Like, what's the plan here?

00:44:10.140 I don't get it.

00:44:11.640 Well, and the other question, the

00:44:12.820 other question is, and I keep

00:44:14.220 having this to pick up what

00:44:16.060 something that you had said as a

00:44:17.380 saved round from the last

00:44:18.240 segment, 40 points.

00:44:21.240 There's a 40 point gap.

00:44:23.220 There's sometimes it's a 30 point

00:44:24.600 gap, a 25 point gap at them, you

00:44:26.920 know, at the least.

00:44:28.020 They never seem to be able to cross

00:44:30.500 this.

00:44:30.820 And, you know, it's funny.

00:44:31.460 We're just talking about, you

00:44:33.100 know, how the Ukrainians weren't

00:44:34.140 able to get across these Russian 0.99

00:44:35.300 defenses in the last segment.

00:44:36.640 It strikes me as being similar

00:44:39.640 that what is the argument to say

00:44:41.860 that you are going to be able to

00:44:43.140 go up against those odds and

00:44:44.800 win.

00:44:45.120 I just don't see it.

00:44:46.820 Yeah.

00:44:47.340 And I got to say, it's not a 30

00:44:49.020 point gap.

00:44:49.640 It's even a 30 point gap now in

00:44:51.360 the NBC News poll, which should

00:44:53.240 everyone should know is jointly

00:44:54.840 conducted by Hillary Clinton's

00:44:56.260 old pollster and Ron DeSantis's

00:44:57.860 pollster, the polling firm.

00:44:59.800 So they were one.

00:45:00.840 We have pollsters put into

00:45:02.320 different categories when it comes

00:45:03.640 to the primary.

00:45:04.640 Are they Biden bullish?

00:45:06.300 Are they Biden bearish?

00:45:07.520 So in other words, or Trump

00:45:09.000 bullish, Trump bearish.

00:45:10.300 In other words, do they show

00:45:11.780 support for a certain candidate

00:45:13.360 or candidates at a higher or

00:45:15.600 lower level than the current

00:45:16.820 consensus?

00:45:17.360 And the NBC News poll was among

00:45:20.260 one of two, the most bullish

00:45:23.060 DeSantis polls out there with,

00:45:26.040 I mean, look, obviously.

00:45:27.960 But now even they show that he

00:45:30.640 has fallen eight points after the

00:45:32.940 indictment and Trump has risen five

00:45:35.020 points.

00:45:35.700 So now they're in the territory

00:45:38.360 territory where the consensus was

00:45:40.280 a month ago, a month and a half

00:45:41.980 ago.

00:45:42.520 So they're either right and

00:45:43.920 everybody else is wrong, Jack, or

00:45:45.620 they're now even slowly starting to

00:45:47.980 come to the realization that this is

00:45:49.600 a, you know, this is a 30 plus

00:45:51.180 point race.

00:45:52.180 This is not like a, you know, a

00:45:53.880 normal primary.

00:45:54.920 We have not seen this.

00:45:56.220 And it's a very different situation.

00:45:58.300 We have a president who is still

00:45:59.980 largely beloved by the party

00:46:02.320 running again.

00:46:03.660 And that's not happened in our

00:46:05.540 lifetime.

00:46:05.760 Rich, let me, um, let me break in

00:46:08.120 very, very briefly here.

00:46:10.180 We do actually have breaking news

00:46:11.840 just coming in a couple minutes

00:46:12.840 left in the show that, um, Putin

00:46:15.420 and Lukashenko aren't now saying

00:46:18.800 that they will be making national

00:46:20.560 addresses tonight.

00:46:22.280 Uh, obviously Putin to Russia,

00:46:23.780 Lukashenko to Belarus.

00:46:25.440 Um, rich with, with the question of,

00:46:28.160 of all these nuclear war, uh, nukes to

00:46:30.720 Belarus, the nuclear power plant in

00:46:32.640 Zaporizia, this idea, Trump's out

00:46:34.860 there saying world war three is

00:46:36.220 looming large.

00:46:37.840 I mean, do you see this as playing

00:46:40.140 into it?

00:46:40.480 Put it this way, actually, obviously

00:46:41.460 it plays into his campaign rhetoric,

00:46:43.220 but Biden really needs some kind of

00:46:46.460 win over there in Ukraine or else

00:46:48.540 that's going to be a huge moment

00:46:50.140 when Trump is on the debate stage

00:46:51.500 with him.

00:46:51.880 Do you think that's going to really

00:46:52.900 shake out in the race here?

00:46:54.540 Do you see that in the numbers?

00:46:56.880 Both primary and general, this is

00:46:58.520 going to be an incredibly strong

00:46:59.760 issue for Donald Trump folks.

00:47:01.320 There's a reason why the commission

00:47:03.140 on presidential debates canceled

00:47:05.260 the second presidential debate in

00:47:07.120 2020.

00:47:08.040 Everybody knows that we're not

00:47:09.040 concerned about COVID.

00:47:10.400 It is the traditional foreign 1.00

00:47:11.780 policy debate, uh, for

00:47:13.760 presidential elections and one in

00:47:15.840 which the incumbent president

00:47:17.000 typically comes out and shines

00:47:18.560 Obama versus Kerry, right?

00:47:20.460 We saw that he lost the first

00:47:21.800 debate, came back strong in the

00:47:23.040 foreign policy.

00:47:24.100 Obama, I mean, uh, Bush v.

00:47:25.980 Kerry.

00:47:26.320 Well, while mocking, by the way,

00:47:27.920 while mocking, uh, mocking

00:47:29.920 Romney for demonizing Russia, we

00:47:31.740 should point out.

00:47:33.220 Well, exactly.

00:47:34.380 And then, right.

00:47:35.240 And that, but it's still played

00:47:36.480 because you look like you're the

00:47:37.620 commander in chief.

00:47:38.380 You have more knowledge of this

00:47:39.380 stuff when it comes to Trump.

00:47:41.360 Uh, this is something that most

00:47:43.360 people are aligned with Trump on.

00:47:45.240 They do not want to fight with

00:47:46.800 Russia.

00:47:47.620 Uh, you know, and at the, they

00:47:49.620 don't want to support Ukraine at 0.81

00:47:51.120 the risk of getting into a fight

00:47:52.360 with Russia.

00:47:52.920 They do not, not even

00:47:54.540 Republicans anymore.

00:47:55.620 Now, that's where the American 0.91

00:47:56.780 people are rich.

00:47:57.680 We're, we're coming up.

00:47:58.660 We're, we're at the end of the
