00:00:25.060 Totally free.

00:00:25.780 The Poso Daily Brief.

00:00:30.000 This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.

00:00:40.520 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.

00:00:46.840 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Poso.

00:00:49.920 Deliver us from evil.

00:00:52.240 This morning, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia is ready to use nuclear weapons

00:00:57.460 if there is any threat to Russia's existence or independence.

00:01:00.980 Putin said it would be a significant escalation if the U.S. sent troops into Ukraine.

00:01:05.740 The Pentagon is sending $300 million worth of weapons to Ukraine.

00:01:09.260 It comes even though senior defense officials say the military is facing its own shortage of replenishment funds.

00:01:15.380 Leaders say they are $10 billion overdrawn.

00:01:18.020 A ship carrying 200 tons of goods is en route to Gaza.

00:01:22.880 It set sail from Cyprus yesterday.

00:01:24.840 Yeah, I've just obtained that filing, and basically what is happening is that Judge Scott McAfee

00:01:30.020 is dismissing several of the charges here in Georgia against former President Donald Trump.

00:01:36.160 Six of the charges.

00:01:37.160 I'm here with Congressman Ken Buck, Republican of Colorado, to announce some big news.

00:01:42.040 You're leaving Congress at the end of next week.

00:01:44.240 I am, yes.

00:01:44.880 I'm resigning my seat and creating a vacancy in my district.

00:01:48.320 Voters in this year's election are looking at a Biden-Trump rematch after both candidates secured

00:01:53.840 enough delegates in last night's primary contest to become their party's presumptive nominees for president.

00:02:00.360 I would vote for Trump before I'd vote for Biden, just because I think with Biden, like, he's gone.

00:02:06.020 Like, you know he's gone.

00:02:07.040 You're going to be relying on his cabinet, and I knew his cabinet would be this sideshow of diversity, which is exactly what it is.

00:02:16.360 We have to win an election, and we should win it by a lot, because there's never been anybody worse at doing that job than Joe Biden.

00:02:24.680 So, we're not going to take time to celebrate.

00:02:28.160 We'll celebrate in eight months when the election is over.

00:02:31.940 November 5th, I believe, will go down as the most important day in the history of our country.

00:02:37.740 U.S. House is poised to pass a bill that could ban the wildly popular social media app TikTok.

00:02:43.720 The bill would require the app's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sever ties with the app within six months,

00:02:50.640 or risk getting blocked on app stores and websites across the country.

00:02:54.060 This is not an attempt to ban TikTok.

00:02:57.220 It's an attempt to make TikTok better.

00:02:59.700 Tic-tac-toe.

00:03:01.420 A winner. A winner.

00:03:03.180 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily Live from Palm Beach, Florida.

00:03:10.900 We're going to be here for a couple of days working on some events, possibly with some people that you might know.

00:03:18.640 Today is March 13th, 2024.

00:03:21.220 A surprise TikTok ban has just passed massive, absolutely massive, stunning, absolutely stunning, I have to say this, majority in the House, 352 votes.

00:03:37.480 I got to say, and I've been on the phone all morning, I've been on the phone all afternoon talking to folks saying,

00:03:43.380 how was it that the CCP took it on the chin this big because I've never seen the CCP go down like this in almost 20 years of being laser focused on these types of issues?

00:03:54.580 Now, obviously, number one, this is not a full ban of TikTok.

00:04:00.040 What it is is a divestiture.

00:04:02.500 Now, here's an interesting fact.

00:04:04.440 Why is it, there you say, that TikTok doesn't just start TikTok America and have some folks and this guy, Jeff Yass,

00:04:12.820 this mega billionaire guy who was bankrolling and has been bankrolling the club for China growth,

00:04:18.720 a guy who was totally against Trump in the primary, big time supporter of Ron DeSantis,

00:04:25.120 why then wouldn't he just start up TikTok America and run it there?

00:04:29.760 Well, the reason is, folks, and I'll tell you right now,

00:04:32.360 it's because they've been lying about the fact that these data centers are in just in Texas.

00:04:38.660 Because, of course, they have a backdoor and they don't want anyone seeing what's going on there.

00:04:44.340 I'm also hearing, by the way, and of course, it goes without saying,

00:04:48.380 Google is going to be a big beneficiary here.

00:04:51.340 Facebook is going to be a big beneficiary here.

00:04:54.140 You know, remember the Zucker bucks?

00:04:55.960 You have to understand, folks, this is a billionaire fight.

00:04:59.240 Biden came out for this.

00:05:01.520 And you know what else?

00:05:02.600 He really wants those Zucker bucks. 0.53

00:05:04.300 He really wants those Zucker bucks to be turned back on for the election.

00:05:09.100 And so what does Zuckerberg want?

00:05:10.560 Ban TikTok.

00:05:11.480 You're witnessing a perfect storm against TikTok right now.

00:05:16.500 That's actually what's going on.

00:05:18.240 But let's step back.

00:05:20.880 Obviously, there's going to be winners and losers in this.

00:05:24.200 But if one of the biggest losers is the Chinese Communist Party,

00:05:28.080 if the Chinese Communist Party and their running dogs in the United States, 0.92

00:05:35.180 like the U.S. House, like the U.S. Chamber, I should say,

00:05:38.880 like the business community, like Wall Street, all have to take it on the chin,

00:05:42.280 then I say go for it.

00:05:43.420 These are the guys who are putting Peter Navarro in jail in less than one week.

00:05:49.340 You think I should care about them?

00:05:51.100 I should care about the fact that they're losing a little bit off their bottom line?

00:05:54.380 No, no.

00:05:55.660 Tariff's on everybody.

00:05:57.320 Divest TikTok 100% when it comes to this.

00:06:02.480 I know it's not a ban.

00:06:03.600 It's not going away.

00:06:05.660 Possibly we'd have a better country if it were,

00:06:08.380 but that's not what this is.

00:06:10.040 Kevin Sorbo joins us next.

00:06:24.380 Subscribe, subscribe, you hit the notifications so you'll never miss a clip.

00:06:28.060 You'll never miss a new live episode,

00:06:30.400 and we're putting them out every single day of the week.

00:06:33.600 Bloods, and them boys had a saying.

00:06:36.880 You can't be listening to all that slappy whack,

00:06:39.240 trim out of Zalitzabam ship, nippy bam bam, 0.97

00:06:42.340 like Human Events with Jack Posobiec.

00:06:46.440 All right, Jack Posobiec back live, Human Events daily.

00:06:49.560 Very excited now to have on with us Kevin Sorbo is joining us here for the second time.

00:06:56.600 Kevin, you know, we connected before on Brave Books.

00:06:59.600 I wanted to get you on, though, as well.

00:07:01.240 Talk about this TikTok.

00:07:03.320 I'll call it the divestiture.

00:07:04.720 There it is.

00:07:05.220 There it is, folks.

00:07:06.220 Lionhood.

00:07:07.100 Everybody's got to go get Brave Books.

00:07:08.560 My kids love them.

00:07:09.460 Saga 4 is cranking out.

00:07:11.140 Saga 5 is coming.

00:07:12.040 I've got some inside intel on what Saga 5 is going to be.

00:07:15.960 I can't reveal that yet, but it's going to be huge.

00:07:18.620 People are really, really, it's very relevant.

00:07:20.900 I'll put it that way.

00:07:21.740 But I've got to ask you.

00:07:24.180 I've got another one on YouTube.

00:07:24.880 Are you another one coming up?

00:07:26.240 All right, you're coming on, then.

00:07:27.220 You're going to come on, and we're going to talk about it.

00:07:29.040 I love it.

00:07:30.100 The TikTok bill that just passed the House, what are your thoughts on this?

00:07:34.860 Is this something that conservatives should get behind?

00:07:37.640 Because there's all this debate.

00:07:39.520 You know, President Trump has said he's not sure on it yet.

00:07:41.640 There's a lot of money floating around.

00:07:43.500 Where do you come down?

00:07:44.260 Well, I think if it's something that's good, it's going to take care of the ridiculousness

00:07:49.660 of what China is doing through TikTok.

00:07:51.700 And it's just further indoctrination of our kids, let alone they got that at K through

00:07:56.840 12th grade in our universities and through Hollywood movies and TV shows and Washington's

00:08:01.300 DC control over all of us and kids as well.

00:08:04.220 I think hopefully, if I'm reading it right, it's going to be a good thing.

00:08:08.960 But, you know, as you know, China doesn't certainly let anything that TikTok shows here

00:08:14.340 show in their home country.

00:08:17.360 Well, and this is clear.

00:08:18.860 So in China, it's called Douyin.

00:08:21.620 And this was sort of the original app.

00:08:23.260 It's got even more features, a lot more facial recognition stuff than the TikTok app, at least

00:08:27.800 publicly that we know of, has in the United States.

00:08:30.260 But their algorithm is fundamentally different in China than the TikTok algorithm here in

00:08:37.980 the United States.

00:08:39.180 It promotes piano playing.

00:08:41.360 It promotes STEM.

00:08:43.200 It promotes language learning.

00:08:44.900 It promotes positive things that are actually good for the development of young people, of

00:08:50.860 high schoolers, et cetera.

00:08:51.620 And it also, in some instances, has a feature where it shuts down on school nights.

00:08:58.240 All of these things that the CCP, when you talk about their malign influence in the United

00:09:04.040 States, which certainly exists, and you obviously know from the Hollywood side, they don't have

00:09:09.620 that influence over their own people in the same way.

00:09:12.860 They actually want their people to develop in a stable and proper way.

00:09:17.600 You know, they're not interested in freedom of expression or anything like that.

00:09:20.720 But when you're talking about their focus on actual talents and actual skills, they're

00:09:25.480 so far ahead of us.

00:09:27.760 Oh, yeah.

00:09:28.400 There's no question.

00:09:29.040 Look, they still rule that country with a communist iron hand, but they rule the government under

00:09:34.120 capitalism.

00:09:34.720 They love capitalism.

00:09:35.660 They love all the money that's brought into them.

00:09:37.520 They probably own America now. 0.94

00:09:39.220 They bought, what, 450,000 acres of farmland.

00:09:42.500 Last I read something about it.

00:09:44.260 But they want, here in America, they want the indoctrination of the kids.

00:09:47.860 They want to show that, you know, you look at how they do it in their movies and TV shows

00:09:52.260 that they tell Hollywood what they can make and what they can't make if they want to have

00:09:57.320 that movie air in China.

00:09:59.020 They want China to look like the great place.

00:10:01.460 And bashing America is fine.

00:10:03.240 They don't mind doing that at all because they want to undermine everything in the American

00:10:06.660 culture.

00:10:07.480 And they're doing a darn good job.

00:10:09.020 Walt Disney said back in the 1950s, movies and television will influence our youth.

00:10:12.820 Well, you can bring that into the internet as well and what's happening with cell phones

00:10:17.500 too.

00:10:19.260 Well, Walt Disney, also back in the 1950s, I remember specifically him coming out saying,

00:10:24.420 hey, and he went to the house and so many people forget about this.

00:10:27.580 And Disney, of course, the company won't talk about it today.

00:10:30.060 He went to the House of Representatives, the same house that just voted against this thing.

00:10:34.180 And he said, you know something?

00:10:35.660 I've seen this on my movie lots.

00:10:37.380 I've seen it in my production houses.

00:10:38.900 He said, there are communists that are starting to take over Hollywood.

00:10:43.280 He said that to the American people.

00:10:45.460 And in fact, he talked about why communism is the most anti-American ideology on the face

00:10:51.540 of the planet, because it's not about equality.

00:10:53.920 It's about revenge.

00:10:55.120 It's about envy.

00:10:56.160 It's about hatred.

00:10:57.280 It's about greed.

00:10:58.660 And this was Walt Disney.

00:11:00.060 I'm like, where are we going to get the Disney movie about anti-communism?

00:11:03.880 Over 60 years ago.

00:11:05.260 Yeah.

00:11:05.460 Well, look what Disney's doing.

00:11:06.580 Look at the woke movies they're putting out there.

00:11:08.120 And thank God, America's waking up a little bit to that, at least, because they're going

00:11:12.180 to look at a well over a billion dollar loss from last year in their movies.

00:11:15.680 And I don't know how long you can keep their business going with that.

00:11:17.760 But let's face it, old Walt is flipping in his grave what Disney has done to his name.

00:11:22.000 He says, this is not what Disney was formed for.

00:11:26.140 We know what the audience is that watches Disney.

00:11:29.300 And now Disney's doing the stuff that's opposite.

00:11:31.560 It's kind of like what Bud Light did, right?

00:11:33.140 I mean, don't you know your target audience?

00:11:34.940 I mean, come on. 0.99

00:11:35.460 This is ridiculous. 0.94

00:11:36.120 And unfortunately, you know, it's so interesting that you say that, too, because one of the 0.90

00:11:42.360 things, the issues that Bud Light has found is that it wasn't just seen as a sort of blip

00:11:46.460 for them.

00:11:46.980 And they tried to turn very hard back, doing the UFC deal with Dana White, trying to bring

00:11:52.540 some more people on, standing by Sean Strickland, et cetera.

00:11:54.940 But what's really happened is, is that this is now it's gone from a rebrand and it's almost

00:12:00.980 just become an entire image issue for them where they are now known as that brand.

00:12:06.280 And the problem or I guess the worry for Disney, if they think it's a worry, I don't know, is

00:12:11.740 that they're just going to be known as the woke children's entertainment complex.

00:12:17.340 And that's why it brings us right back to Brave Books.

00:12:20.220 That's why people are now coming and say, all right, we're not going to do Disney, but we

00:12:24.880 do want something for the kids.

00:12:26.920 You know, I've got kids.

00:12:28.080 You've got kids.

00:12:28.580 Your kids are a little older than my kids.

00:12:29.920 But, you know, what are you going to show the kids that they are interested in?

00:12:35.280 And something that I love about Brave Books is that they're just good stories.

00:12:40.000 They're not beating you over the head with messaging.

00:12:43.400 It's not lectures.

00:12:44.660 They're fun stories.

00:12:45.900 It's adventure.

00:12:46.720 I almost feel like it's kind of the, you know, the conservative, I don't want to say

00:12:51.740 Paw Patrol, but it's like the Avengers.

00:12:53.640 It's like Paw Patrol.

00:12:54.520 It's all of these adventure type stories, but done through the lens of the values that

00:12:59.960 we care about.

00:13:00.740 And at the same time, not inserting any of that nonsense.

00:13:05.340 Yeah, I mean, we got attacked by the Alfred crowd and I'm not going, this is not anti-anything, 1.00

00:13:09.920 guys.

00:13:10.820 I mean, this is a book about letting kids grow up to be kids.

00:13:15.100 Let boys grow up to be strong fathers, strong husbands, strong pillars in their community.

00:13:20.720 It's nothing to do with it.

00:13:21.360 It's a pro-child book.

00:13:22.720 That's all it is.

00:13:23.600 It doesn't bash anybody.

00:13:25.140 It doesn't bash any single group.

00:13:27.000 But they're always looking, they look every day, these people on the left, they're looking

00:13:30.940 for something to offend them.

00:13:32.100 It reminds me of an old movie that Marlon Brando was in, called The Wild Ones, I think.

00:13:38.160 And he's a, you know, leather motorcycle dude in the 50s.

00:13:41.440 And this old guy in front of a general store says, what do you guys have to complain about?

00:13:45.380 He goes, well, what do you got?

00:13:46.720 And that's pretty much what we're living right now.

00:13:48.960 It's just, they're looking for anything to complain about something.

00:13:51.860 And it's just, this insanity has got to stop.

00:13:54.320 And I keep telling people right now, I said, well, you got to wake up the lions.

00:13:57.380 And that's why it's the test of lionhood.

00:13:58.980 Stop being afraid.

00:14:00.800 And don't let fear, because government loves fear as a weapon.

00:14:03.880 And I think another big killer happening in America, in fact, the world is apathy.

00:14:08.000 People just go, oh, well, what can we do?

00:14:09.680 Well, do something.

00:14:10.640 Don't sit around.

00:14:11.200 You know what you can do.

00:14:12.520 But once again, I think fear is the driving force here, that people just don't want to make

00:14:16.220 a difference.

00:14:16.640 And it's too bad.

00:14:17.400 But I'm plugging along.

00:14:19.100 I'm going to keep doing movies.

00:14:20.820 SorboStudios.com is a great place to go.

00:14:23.620 It's where my wife's site is on. 1.00

00:14:25.640 My site is on.

00:14:26.740 I do movies that have hope, love, faith, redemption, laughter, things that Hollywood used to do

00:14:30.780 and won't do anymore.

00:14:32.160 But they better wake up and start doing some movies.

00:14:34.480 I'm not telling them what movies to make.

00:14:37.020 But why do you make it just one section that wants to just be divisive and angry and hate

00:14:42.380 and over-sexualized?

00:14:43.380 Why can't you go back to the old true and tried method that made Hollywood the banner of the

00:14:48.640 world by doing movies that the good guy does win?

00:14:51.320 That there is hope out there.

00:14:52.400 There is redemption out there.

00:14:53.580 There is a chance to have a better life than what's going on right now in this crazy world.

00:14:57.500 Because I can't believe what we're doing to this country.

00:14:59.880 It's just shocking to me.

00:15:00.980 You know, in the 1940s, when you go back to the Walt Disney era that we're talking about,

00:15:06.840 the 40s into the 50s, movies were made for families.

00:15:11.500 They were made for people to go out.

00:15:13.260 They were hopeful.

00:15:14.280 And then you kind of see the cynicism rise up again in the 70s.

00:15:18.740 In the 70s, Hollywood became super cynical.

00:15:21.260 And it kind of makes sense.

00:15:22.620 That's where the economy was.

00:15:23.780 That's where the country was.

00:15:24.740 I get it, right?

00:15:25.520 I get it.

00:15:26.000 But movies weren't offering hope anymore.

00:15:29.060 Then, you know, towards then the 80s, that all flips around.

00:15:33.440 And the 80s, it's suddenly it's hopeful again.

00:15:35.660 You know, you're getting back to the future.

00:15:37.160 You're getting all these great Americana type films that are just positive and fun.

00:15:42.360 Movies could actually be fun again.

00:15:43.700 But it feels like we're trapped in another cycle of this downturn where we're embracing

00:15:48.900 cynicism, where people are saying, oh, you know, again, I keep coming back to it.

00:15:54.220 They constantly tell you that they're for equality, but they're not.

00:15:58.320 They're actually for revenge.

00:16:00.380 And that nastiness and that hatred is seeping into the screen.

00:16:05.140 Well, there's a celebration now of all these people that have really given up on life.

00:16:09.380 They maybe failed once.

00:16:10.580 And they said, well, it's your fault.

00:16:11.820 It's a government's fault.

00:16:12.520 It's God's fault.

00:16:13.280 Or a God they don't believe in.

00:16:14.460 They want to blame everybody else instead of looking in the mirror, because that's where

00:16:17.620 the problem is.

00:16:18.660 But they don't want to do that.

00:16:19.780 So they want to come after you.

00:16:21.200 And they want to drag you down into that black hole that they're living in.

00:16:25.180 I mean, when you get attacked on the Internet and I get attacked, I feel sorry for these

00:16:29.180 people more than anything else.

00:16:29.880 It doesn't stop me from believing in the truth.

00:16:32.280 But the truth is kryptonite to these people.

00:16:34.540 And they've just given up.

00:16:35.780 And I'm sure there's a common denominator amongst all of them, whether it's a bad family

00:16:40.220 life, bad relationship, no jobs.

00:16:42.360 I don't know.

00:16:42.660 Maybe Soros is paying for them.

00:16:45.280 It's crazy.

00:16:45.980 I mean, it's just unbelievable that this is happening.

00:16:48.900 And we got to fight back because, look, we got to take our cities back.

00:16:51.840 It's insane what we're doing to fund the police, let people shoplift, let people attack

00:16:56.140 people, you know, and beat them up and put them in.

00:16:59.040 Then you arrest them and let them out the next day anyway to go do it again.

00:17:02.360 None of this stuff makes any sense in our country.

00:17:04.640 A border with 10 million people have come across.

00:17:07.300 How many people are you kidding me that you don't think we're going to have a worse than

00:17:11.240 9-11 experience in every major city across this country somewhere down the road?

00:17:14.700 Because from what I've read, and I don't know where these sources came from, I read

00:17:18.900 the Internet, they're estimating 500,000 to 800,000 terrorists have come into this country

00:17:23.720 over the last three years.

00:17:27.640 We're going to quick break coming up here in one minute.

00:17:30.660 You know, I got to say, Walt Disney was up there warning us the communists were taking

00:17:34.340 over Hollywood.

00:17:36.020 He saw it on his movie sets.

00:17:38.460 He saw what was going on.

00:17:39.900 He tried to warn the country about this.

00:17:42.340 What can I say, folks?

00:17:43.300 Joseph McCarthy may have been the original mean tweeter, but you know something?

00:17:47.940 He was right.

00:17:50.520 McCarthy was right.

00:17:53.080 The communists were taking over institution after institution after institution.

00:17:58.380 Don't believe me?

00:17:59.600 Why don't you go ask a guy by the name of Alger Kiss about that?

00:18:04.640 Stay tuned.

00:18:05.200 We'll be right back.

00:18:05.880 More with Kevin Sorbo.

00:18:07.100 We're talking about communism and all of its ills here at Human Events Daily.

00:18:12.560 We're talking about influences.

00:18:16.940 These are influences.

00:18:19.060 And they're friends of mine.

00:18:21.380 Jack Persoek.

00:18:22.880 Where's Jack?

00:18:23.860 Jack?

00:18:24.840 He's done a great job.

00:18:26.980 All right.

00:18:29.620 Jack Persoek back live.

00:18:30.460 Human Events Daily.

00:18:30.980 Anyway, folks, as we speak, Texas is picking up the pieces after 1.1 million acres of land

00:18:37.120 was destroyed in one of the worst wildfires in history.

00:18:40.580 I wasn't even talking about it.

00:18:42.080 We don't know how badly yet that that's going to affect the supply chain of food across this

00:18:46.760 country.

00:18:47.440 That's where today's episode sponsor comes in.

00:19:37.440 We're on now with Kevin Sorbo.

00:19:40.040 People are saying, you know, this guy is a really strong guest.

00:19:43.000 I said, what can I say, folks?

00:19:43.940 He's got the strength of Zeus with him.

00:19:45.260 Kevin, you are not only an actor, but also a filmmaker.

00:19:51.640 You've got a new documentary out all about the China takeover of Hollywood.

00:19:57.080 This is perfect because it's exactly what we're talking about in regards to this TikTok divestiture.

00:20:03.420 Walk me through the documentary, and what did you learn while making it?

00:20:06.620 People are going to learn a lot by watching it.

00:20:09.300 I've kind of known for years that China's influence in Hollywood.

00:20:12.720 I mean, this is – I don't know how much we can see of that right there, but this is the Hollywood Takeover.

00:20:17.940 You got it?

00:20:18.360 Can you see it?

00:20:19.780 Awesome.

00:20:20.160 Perfect.

00:20:20.480 It's a great movie.

00:20:21.620 Go to Epic Times, okay?

00:20:23.400 It's at Epic TV.

00:20:24.640 Go to hollywoodtakeover.com.

00:20:26.720 It deals with how Hollywood is at such a major influence in the movies that are made and how they're made and what they can put in it.

00:20:34.580 A perfect example is Maverick, Top Gun with Tom Cruise.

00:20:37.820 They did not want that Taiwan patch he had on his flight jacket, and they made him take it off.

00:20:44.300 And they're doing this all the time.

00:20:45.440 If you talk bad about them as an actor or director, producer, they'll never let your movies in that city, in that country at all.

00:20:55.120 Everything has to paint them in a positive light, in a good light.

00:20:58.620 There's an interesting clip in there with Robert Downey Jr. when he's promoting Iron Man 3 or 4 or something there.

00:21:03.820 And he says – and they told him.

00:21:04.940 They told him to say these kind of things while he's in China, saying, you know what?

00:21:08.900 He said, I almost feel like I'm Chinese.

00:21:10.740 I love this country.

00:21:11.580 I love everything it stands for.

00:21:12.700 You're like going, wow.

00:21:14.200 And this is what they're doing.

00:21:15.680 There was a great bit with Ricky Gervais when he hosted the Golden Globes.

00:21:21.960 He's done it like four years in a row, and he laughs that they keep bringing him back because he's not afraid to bash anybody.

00:21:27.420 Christians, non-Christians, liberals, Republicans. 1.00

00:21:30.920 And he looks out there in front of this big A-list of the actors and producers and directors and studio guys, and he says, you guys are all a bunch of whores. 1.00

00:21:39.000 If ISIS had a film fund, you'd be the first to sign up. 0.99

00:21:43.440 And you know what?

00:21:44.000 He's not wrong. 0.53

00:21:44.620 They would be.

00:21:45.780 So what is China doing?

00:21:47.080 That's one more way.

00:21:48.940 They're undermining American culture by making China look like this great, great – you know, they're the city on the hill. 1.00

00:21:55.600 They're that light on that empire on the hill like Reagan was talking about, but they say it's China instead, which is absolutely absurd.

00:22:02.340 But they're doing it, and Hollywood will keep bending over back for these guys because it's all about money.

00:22:06.960 They don't care about you.

00:22:07.940 They don't care about your family.

00:22:09.240 All they care about is money, even though they scream about socialism, right?

00:22:12.960 Hollywood's a capitalist place.

00:22:14.200 Let's not fool ourselves.

00:22:15.180 So this idea then – and it's so clear to me because I remember it's been almost 20 years since the first time I visited China.

00:22:26.420 And, you know, learning about the CCP, learning – it's amazing, by the way, that you're partnering with Epoch Times because when I was over there, I was doing a study abroad and, you know, learning Mandarin and stuff.

00:22:36.800 And I would always say, I want to learn more about the CCP.

00:22:38.860 And I've heard about them.

00:22:39.900 I don't know what they are.

00:22:40.920 You know, I know Chairman Mao bad, but, you know, that's kind of about it, right?

00:22:44.920 And I go to Chinese media.

00:22:47.200 Oh, it's all pro-CCP.

00:22:48.780 And I said, all right, well, let me go to Western media.

00:22:50.840 Let me go read some of what they have to say.

00:22:52.860 And, you know, clearly, clearly the free world will be telling the truth.

00:22:56.240 Nothing.

00:22:56.840 They're also pro-CCP.

00:22:58.160 And I said, well, hold on, hold on.

00:22:59.480 Where's all the movies, right?

00:23:01.000 We get all the World War II movies that you could ever want about every little aspect of World War II, little stories and big stories and everything about it.

00:23:08.320 It's been – it's all on screen.

00:23:09.740 Everybody can go watch any aspect of that war.

00:23:12.540 But when you talk about the Chinese Communist Party, the fact that 50 million people were killed in the Great Leap Forward and the famine that ensued, the hungry ghosts, cannibalism breaking out wide.

00:23:25.880 When you talk about the fact that even after the Communist Revolution, there was another revolution called the Cultural Revolution where the entire country was engulfed in a quasi-revolutionary communist civil war with the children running up and going after people.

00:23:41.460 I said, wait a minute, why are there no movies about this?

00:23:44.760 This is just – number one, it's history.

00:23:46.820 Number two, it's very compelling.

00:23:48.740 And it's happened not even that long ago.

00:23:50.900 Will we ever get a movie like that that – Hollywood?

00:23:55.160 I'd be surprised if they did.

00:23:57.960 Look, I've got a script called Tears for China. 0.85

00:24:00.780 And it's about the over 450 million forced abortions in that country. 0.80

00:24:05.460 Forced abortions in that country.

00:24:07.360 Do you think they'll ever let that movie be shown over there?

00:24:09.460 But the reality of that, the vast majority of them were females. 0.97

00:24:13.880 So what's happening in China right now?

00:24:15.480 They have a female shortage. 1.00

00:24:16.820 They're actually a population.

00:24:18.420 Now it's going to start going down in the opposite way because it's something like eight men for every one woman out there. 1.00

00:24:23.540 And I think they changed the laws now that you can have two kids.

00:24:27.300 Last time I saw something.

00:24:28.900 So it's sad.

00:24:30.380 The way it is now is if you were from the one-child generation.

00:24:35.960 So if you were a one-child, now you could have more kids.

00:24:39.900 Now you can have more kids.

00:24:41.240 Okay, well, they realize that they have a shortage going on.

00:24:43.260 We have a shortage.

00:24:44.080 Europe has a negative growth in things as well.

00:24:46.600 Italy's in trouble.

00:24:47.520 Germany's in trouble.

00:24:48.240 All these places are in trouble.

00:24:49.440 The only population that's growing is the Muslim culture.

00:24:52.580 I mean, everywhere they are, they're the ones – you know, they can have their five wives and have six kids with each one.

00:24:56.660 But you look at white Europeans and even white Americans, I think it's less than the death rate or something like that, right?

00:25:04.840 And it's going in a negative trend as well.

00:25:06.920 So I don't – it's – look, I've got to give a plug for this real quick because I do these Comic-Con shows because of Hercules and Andromeda.

00:25:15.000 But most people come to my table because it's about Let There Be Light, God's Not Dead, Soul Surfer, Miracle East Texas, movies that I've been doing that have a positive message.

00:25:23.940 So I'm going to do – I'm hosting a con called Rise Up Con.

00:25:28.240 So check out – go on RiseUpCon.com.

00:25:31.580 And it's going to be in Sevierville, Tennessee, just south of Knoxville.

00:25:34.600 If you check out the site, it's going to be a family and faith convention.

00:25:37.460 We want all people to come.

00:25:38.760 We're not bashing agnostics or atheists.

00:25:41.460 We'd love you to come.

00:25:42.520 A lot of actors you're going to recognize and know who they are, from John Schneider to Dean Cain to just – well, there's a lot of great people are going to be there.

00:25:50.400 We have a charity golf event.

00:25:51.800 Check it out.

00:25:52.520 And make it a family week because we're also next to Dollywood.

00:25:56.080 So I hope people go to RiseUpCon.com.

00:25:58.340 Join us at the end of May this year.

00:26:01.260 The end of May, RiseUpCon.com.

00:26:03.820 That sounds pretty good.

00:26:04.820 I have to talk to the producers here.

00:26:06.600 If we get a little remote broadcast or something, maybe go cover that.

00:26:10.160 I don't know.

00:26:11.180 We've got Patriot Mobile as our main sponsor.

00:26:13.480 We've got other people coming in.

00:26:14.680 We'd love you guys to show up for sure.

00:26:16.120 Yeah, Glenn and the entire team over there.

00:26:18.880 Lee, they're absolutely fantastic.

00:26:20.240 Huge supporters of the program love everything they do because those guys aren't afraid, by the way.

00:26:24.920 Talk about not being afraid.

00:26:26.540 Going back to your book, people not being afraid to stand up for what matters.

00:26:32.540 And this has been a huge problem in our society.

00:26:35.200 And I would actually like to go back to that because how is it – how is it that the United States of America,

00:26:41.080 the country that saved the world from communism, the country that won World War II,

00:26:46.840 is going to turn around and then be afraid of offending somebody if you're going to stand up for what's true?

00:26:53.600 And I think it's because – I think it's because we teach kids, and for decades now, several decades,

00:26:59.420 we've been teaching that everybody needs to be non-confrontational.

00:27:02.760 Everybody has to be tolerant.

00:27:04.880 Every has – I say we don't have a problem of too much intolerance in the United States.

00:27:10.440 We have a problem of too much tolerance.

00:27:12.920 Well, I think tolerance from the right.

00:27:14.540 Jack, I mean, come on, let's face it.

00:27:15.780 The left that used to be the party of everybody's – you know, they don't even know what liberal – the term liberal even means.

00:27:20.640 That means everybody's point of view is okay.

00:27:22.540 The liberals are filled with anger and hate, and they want to fight, and they want to turn cop cars over.

00:27:26.820 They want to get rid of police.

00:27:27.940 They want to indoctrinate your kids. 0.88

00:27:29.180 They want to break up the family.

00:27:30.320 They want communism.

00:27:31.180 They want all this stuff.

00:27:32.580 So, I mean, that's where the fight is right now with these guys.

00:27:35.640 The liberals used to be the ones, don't trust a man, don't trust a man.

00:27:39.160 COVID comes along, and everything the government said, all of a sudden they're going, trust a man.

00:27:42.960 It's science.

00:27:44.000 And obviously everything that they said was lie after lie.

00:27:46.960 I do got to give a plug-up for Rise Up again, though, because we got Brave Books is one of our sponsors.

00:27:50.920 There's Cardio Miracles, another sponsor.

00:27:54.520 We got – I mean, we have so many wonderful people.

00:27:56.560 People go to riselubcon.com.

00:27:58.040 You'll see all the good things coming there.

00:27:59.360 So I hope you guys show up.

00:28:00.860 We got a fight to go on.

00:28:02.220 The people that support the things that I do are the ones that support what you do.

00:28:06.940 These are the Americans.

00:28:07.940 These are the true patriots that love the country.

00:28:10.160 Look at me.

00:28:10.880 I got – we – I got right here.

00:28:12.900 We got the Bible right here.

00:28:14.560 We the Bible right here.

00:28:15.600 These are a wonderful group of guys that make an amazing Bible that's leather-bound, and they have the Constitution inside the Bible.

00:28:24.920 They got – I mean, these guys do great work.

00:28:26.960 We got to support what's going on with the positive companies in this country because there's too many crazy people that want to bring us down and tear us down.

00:28:34.620 Look at California.

00:28:36.120 Eight million people have moved out in 10 years.

00:28:37.840 Eight million taxpayers like me.

00:28:39.300 I couldn't agree more.

00:28:42.380 And the idea of – it's not – people say we need the alternative to Hollywood.

00:28:47.480 We need the alternative.

00:28:48.240 And I would say, no, it's beyond that.

00:28:49.560 We don't just need the alternative to Hollywood and all these companies.

00:28:52.720 Is that what we need to do is actually become the new one.

00:28:57.660 Become the new – whatever you want to call it.

00:29:00.400 It's not Hollywood.

00:29:00.940 We are going to become the new Hollywood.

00:29:02.240 And people are going to say, what videos, what movies, what TV shows are coming out of this side?

00:29:09.020 And those other guys, those woke guys, that stuff over there, no, we're not going to watch that anymore, okay?

00:29:14.660 That's going to go the way of the dinosaur. 0.56

00:29:16.520 That's going to go the way of MySpace and all that stuff.

00:29:19.260 We're not going to partake in it anymore.

00:29:22.640 And it's as simple as that.

00:29:24.540 And if people want to actually take action to do the things that will make this country better, that's what you have to do.

00:29:32.920 Last minute, Kevin Sorbo.

00:29:35.100 You know, we have to wake up the lions.

00:29:38.640 Like I said earlier, the sheep are going to be the sheep.

00:29:41.040 The people that don't even want to hear you.

00:29:43.360 You know, the people that – it's interesting you look at Donald Trump.

00:29:48.700 When he was president, he did amazing things for this country.

00:29:51.560 But that doesn't get reported.

00:29:52.820 He's been attacked every single day for the last nine years.

00:29:55.340 It's absolutely insane what they've done to this guy.

00:29:58.100 And every liberal I meet, when I say, what policies of his did you not like? 1.00

00:30:02.760 Well, he's a jerk. 1.00

00:30:03.820 Okay, jerk's not a policy. 1.00

00:30:05.420 They can't name anything. 0.99

00:30:06.680 They've been brainwashed by the public.

00:30:08.040 Remember, before Trump announced his presidency, people loved him.

00:30:12.480 The left loved him.

00:30:13.320 They wanted him on the talk shows.

00:30:14.540 They wanted him to do a guest spot on a movie, a TV show, whatever.

00:30:16.760 The minute he went to the bad side, and this is all because of Hollywood, all because of TV and movies, 1.00

00:30:22.240 where they portray anybody who's conservative, anybody who's a Christian, as the evil, as the moron, as the idiot. 1.00

00:30:27.180 And we need to – 1.00

00:30:27.980 And dads, too.

00:30:28.900 And dads, too.

00:30:30.780 Kevin Sorbo, don't be afraid, folks.

00:30:33.940 Lionhood.

00:30:34.660 Wake up the lions.

00:30:36.560 Wake up all the lions.

00:30:38.880 Let's see how you do it.

00:30:39.620 Where is Jack?

00:30:43.880 Where is Jack?

00:30:46.200 Where is he?

00:30:47.480 Jack, I want to see you.

00:30:51.120 Great job, Jack.

00:30:52.540 Thank you.

00:30:53.300 What a job you do.

00:30:54.720 You know, we have an incredible thing.

00:30:56.100 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the guys who will be getting Pulisic.

00:31:01.900 Jack Pasovic back live, human events daily.

00:31:07.880 Folks, I got to tell you, world absolute flames.

00:31:11.240 You see what's happening down in Haiti.

00:31:13.300 Bidenomics, a complete and total, absolutely total disaster.

00:31:18.620 But it cannot and will not ruin my day because I start my day with blackout coffee every single day.

00:31:24.720 Folks, we've got breaking news here, and we've got Raheem Kassam who's on standby.

00:31:31.000 I'll get his reaction to this in a second.

00:31:32.480 Let me just read it from the post-millennial New York City judge to pause Alvin Bragg's falsified documents case until the Supreme Court rules on immunity.

00:31:45.060 This is the new motion that has been put forward.

00:31:48.640 We know the Supreme Court is going to be scheduled to hear the arguments on presidential immunity on April 25th.

00:31:55.880 Trump is now attempting to get the case, essentially push back.

00:32:01.420 The case was supposed to begin in just about 10 days' time here.

00:32:05.160 Raheem Kassam, editor-in-chief of National Pulse, you and I were just talking offline about these cases.

00:32:10.260 Do you think it's possible, then, that the Trump immunity case could actually cause the Alvin Bragg – remember, this is the Stormy Daniels case, too, that I know you know – to be delayed?

00:32:25.760 Yeah, absolutely.

00:32:26.860 I think when all of these things were first going on and when all of these trial dates were being set, we still hadn't had the full force of the legal pushback, the foresight to look at what an appeals process would look like.

00:32:43.480 And, of course, we've had all of these little nuggets dropping in between of, you know, for instance, this last weekend.

00:32:51.340 We heard from Stormy Daniels herself that she refuses to pay the $670,000 that she owes Donald Trump.

00:32:59.380 She's basically making herself, in the court's opinion, a hostile witness. 0.98

00:33:03.440 So I'm not surprised that, once again, you know, we saw what happened in Georgia earlier today, we've seen what happened with the Colorado case, that we're getting the deep state, if you will, kind of trying to even row a little bit back or maybe even defer these cases until after the election.

00:33:22.940 That is pretty much the strategy that Trump's legal team has taken here, and it's really started to pay off and pay dividends here.

00:33:31.000 And it's a great credit to them, especially when you consider how many legal cases they're fighting all at the same time.

00:33:38.340 Well, that's very interesting. So we're going to have to see how that plays out.

00:33:43.700 Now, this is a separate judge from, you know, to keep track of all the judges, always interesting.

00:33:49.120 But, no, this is a separate judge from the civil case and also a separate judge from all the ones that we're seeing in D.C.

00:33:54.900 Raheem, the main thing I wanted to bring you on today, and you've been sort of making the rounds in media, talking about this TikTok bill.

00:34:01.600 I do have to ask you, as somebody who's been so focused on the CCP, probably the only guy in, well, you, myself, and Steve, the only guys in D.C.

00:34:08.940 that are this focused on the CCP.

00:34:10.700 Of course, people remember the original theme song of The War Room, and I think they still play it, is Take Down the CCP.

00:34:17.860 Did you ever think an anti-CCP bill like this would get such a stunning result in the U.S. House?

00:34:27.840 It's a great question. Probably, I would say no.

00:34:31.340 I would say no, like, to the extent for which we've seen the support for this bill today.

00:34:36.820 And I have to say, a lot of people out there, and there will be a lot of people who have a lot of problems with this,

00:34:42.340 I encourage them to go and read the bill, because I think the little snippets you see being posted by the likes of Thomas Massey and others on the Internet

00:34:52.060 are actually doing a disservice to the American public in how they're presenting this information.

00:34:56.880 I did a short seven-minute type video reading the entire bill this morning so people can go and watch that.

00:35:03.800 Well, they can just go and read the bill itself.

00:35:06.260 It's only 12 pages, and it's very, very specific.

00:35:09.700 No, Joe Biden cannot use this to shut down X.

00:35:13.260 No, and believe me, believe us, I'll speak for you, Jack, here as well.

00:35:17.280 If there are any implications of that in this bill, you and I would be the first to be censored as a result of it,

00:35:23.420 and you and I, therefore, would be the first to oppose it.

00:35:26.420 Those provisions are not in this bill.

00:35:28.260 It's very specific about ByteDance, about TikTok.

00:35:30.820 And so, you know, I'm glad that the Congress of the United States is finally doing something in the national interest of the United States.

00:35:38.540 Of course, you and I could talk for hours and hours, and given your record on phone calls, we will,

00:35:44.380 about, you know, the push and pull, where the money's coming from, which army of lobbyists is fighting,

00:35:49.860 which other army of lobbyists on this issue.

00:35:51.720 Yes, all of that is happening at the same time.

00:35:54.620 But the grander picture of all of this are two things.

00:35:58.980 Number one, this bill, and I have it right here.

00:36:01.380 All, I've marked it up.

00:36:02.620 I've gone through it.

00:36:03.520 It does not include any provisions that can censor you or I or anybody watching this at home.

00:36:09.440 And number two, it does instruct the United States to guard itself against a Chinese Communist Party-owned platform.

00:36:18.600 Those are wins.

00:36:20.140 Take the wins.

00:36:21.120 So I guess the question, and I said in the opening, the question is, why are so many Democrats for this?

00:36:29.900 Because, of course, we've not seen Democrats' side against China before.

00:36:34.960 I think certainly there's a lot of elements and a lot of interest that want to see this done.

00:36:38.940 And people need to remember as well, this is not a TikTok ban.

00:36:42.300 It is a TikTok divestiture.

00:36:44.760 One of the reasons, by the way, and they could do this, right?

00:36:46.980 They could easily do this the same – so when anyone wants to do business in China, okay, what you have to do, and I know this from working in Shanghai, that you need to set up a JV with a new company that is totally and wholly established within the People's Republic of China.

00:37:04.680 So – and China, by the way, because it's a JV, takes a cut of that.

00:37:09.240 They take a major partnership out of that.

00:37:11.140 So every single company that you can think of, from Disney to IMAX to all the big names that are operating in China, it's like Disney Shanghai, Disney Hong Kong.

00:37:20.820 This is how they operate.

00:37:21.840 Now, why couldn't just one time, one time, with a Chinese company, the United States government go forward and say, you need to set up an American entity?

00:37:34.860 They could do that on their own under this bill, couldn't they?

00:37:38.820 Yeah, there's actually a lot of things that could be done in order to secure Americans away from the Chinese Communist Party and critically to secure Americans' data away from the Chinese Communist Party. 0.90

00:37:49.340 This bill doesn't actually deal with things like that.

00:37:52.040 This bill is sort of an overarching – and as I say, it's a tight 12 pages.

00:37:55.680 Go away and read it for yourselves, ladies and gentlemen.

00:37:57.320 Don't take my word for it.

00:37:58.860 And here's the other thing I'll say as I'm answering that question, is that all of these people who are out there today arguing in favor of leaving TikTok the way it is, effectively the Chinese Communist Party line, ask them if they've taken any campaign contributions, whether it's through the Club for Growth, whether it's from Jeff Yass.

00:38:16.620 Ask them that question, right, because I can sit here today and say the national polls is wholly funded by our members.

00:38:23.220 $8 on average a month from an ordinary member.

00:38:26.360 We don't take money to do, you know, any lobby work, anything like that.

00:38:30.360 We don't even put adverts on the site, right?

00:38:32.580 So it's not like people can say, oh, well, you would say that because, you know, I don't even have a TikTok account, right?

00:38:38.140 There is simply no inducement on my side.

00:38:40.380 That is not the case for these members of Congress who have actively opposed this bill.

00:38:45.060 And you as the general public, you as the people who are, you know, they are answerable to you, should be asking those questions of them.

00:38:52.820 This bill sets up a lot of different things that could happen here, right?

00:38:58.200 Now, it could be the case that divestiture occurs.

00:39:01.980 But divestiture will probably require the acceptance of the Chinese Communist Party for that to happen.

00:39:08.900 So it's actually the least likely thing that could happen here.

00:39:12.440 But as you say, you could have joint ventures.

00:39:15.320 You could have a way this company is split up.

00:39:17.520 You could have a certain percentage because the bill itself actually talks about the percentage ownership as well that is allowed for something like this.

00:39:25.300 So right now it's 20 percent.

00:39:26.540 You can go down to 10 percent, for instance, and be and be fine to operate in the United States.

00:39:30.960 19 percent or 18 percent.

00:39:33.140 Exactly.

00:39:33.540 There is a lot.

00:39:34.600 If anything, this bill is too mild and weak on the Chinese Communist Party.

00:39:38.900 But there's a lot that can come off the back of this.

00:39:41.020 This is not just a simple, like, all these loopholes.

00:39:43.440 Are they not going to ban it?

00:39:45.160 Well, and the real, the dirty little secret here is why wouldn't they just do this?

00:39:49.760 Why go through the rigmarole?

00:39:51.080 Why go through having to fund the club for China growth and Kellyanne Conway and all those different things to go through?

00:39:58.980 And it's because it's because the dirty little secret is and just got a minute till the break here.

00:40:03.180 But the dirty little secret is they've been lying to all of us about how this data is being operated.

00:40:09.680 They don't just have a back door to China.

00:40:12.260 It is a it is the door.

00:40:14.000 It is the front door.

00:40:14.900 It's the only door.

00:40:16.020 All of your data is going directly to China under this.

00:40:19.920 It's in complete circumvention of what their public statements have been.

00:40:23.320 And certainly flaunting U.S. law.

00:40:26.080 I've actually heard, by the way, an interesting rumor.

00:40:28.720 There was that story last week that was running around that all of these teenagers were calling up the house and saying, oh, I'm going to commit suicide.

00:40:35.060 If TikTok is banned, I can't live anymore to commit suicide.

00:40:38.900 Apparently, that completely backfired.

00:40:41.700 And a lot of Hill staffers are saying, yeah, that freaked our members out so much that they said, you know what?

00:40:48.480 This is like digital opium and we want to shut down the digital opium den as much as possible.

00:40:54.760 So that could have even been the same thing happened in the U.K., by the way, with Huawei.

00:40:58.580 And so because China is just not very good at lobbying.

00:41:01.780 Stay tuned, folks.

00:41:02.560 We're going to be right back.

00:41:04.000 Take a quick break.

00:41:04.800 Raheem Kassam will be with us after break.

00:41:08.300 I'm always listening to Human Events with Jack Posobiec.

00:41:10.940 All right.

00:41:13.500 Jack Posobiec back here, live Human Events Daily.

00:41:16.780 We're in West Palm Beach.

00:41:18.280 We're going to be down here for the foreseeable future.

00:41:21.420 Next couple of days, we've got Raheem Kassam on as our guest.

00:41:25.340 We're talking through the political machinations of the TikTok divestiture, because that's what it really is, divestiture.

00:41:33.740 Raheem, President Trump had a tweet up, a truth social post up,

00:41:40.080 about this, where it sounded as though he was opposed to the bill.

00:41:45.500 Now, this, of course, was the same type of bill that his administration had lobbied for

00:41:51.140 and, in fact, had supported when he was in office to begin with.

00:41:55.320 So it seems as though there's been a shift.

00:41:57.100 Now, I can certainly understand in an election year, not wanting to come out on, again,

00:42:02.440 something that could be perceived as incredibly unpopular.

00:42:05.920 Is that what's going on here?

00:42:07.480 Is it just politics that are driving what appears to be a big shift in policy?

00:42:11.940 Yeah, and I just wanted to make mention of the fact that, apparently, according to Jack Posobiec,

00:42:18.460 the foreseeable future is only the next couple of days, which concerns me.

00:42:23.160 I don't know what you know that I don't, but I'm glad you're down there enjoying the sunshine.

00:42:28.580 I think there's certainly politics going on here, but it's not the kind of politics that necessarily everybody's thinking of.

00:42:35.640 I think people are starting to get their heads around what's really going on here with the lobbyist armies being deployed on Capitol Hill

00:42:42.800 from a great many sides, by the way.

00:42:45.140 Don't get me wrong.

00:42:46.140 There's not just lobbyists for TikTok who are on this.

00:42:48.960 Like, there's lobbyists for Zuckerberg and Facebook on this.

00:42:52.360 There's lobbyists all over the place working this issue because whether we like it or not,

00:42:56.860 TikTok is a gargantuan presence in the Western world right now,

00:43:00.980 and it spits off so much data and so much cash that everybody kind of wants a piece of the pie here.

00:43:06.600 So even for somebody like me who's had my head buried in this stuff for so very long,

00:43:11.260 new nuggets of information are just constantly coming up.

00:43:13.840 My phone has just been ringing off the hook all day long with information.

00:43:17.440 Then, of course, I've got to sit down and think about, like, okay, well, which ones do I trust?

00:43:20.660 How many sources do I have on all these sorts of things?

00:43:23.120 And this is genuinely one of the most complex situations that I've experienced just in terms of reporting about it in the last several years

00:43:33.460 because there are so many different actors at play here.

00:43:35.800 But the one, as it pertains to Donald Trump, as far as I'm concerned, is very simple, right?

00:43:40.640 You've got the Club for Growth, the Club for China Growth, we used to call it.

00:43:43.440 I wish we would still call it that.

00:43:44.780 The Club for China Growth is coming along with a lot of money that is being deployed by people like Jeff Yass,

00:43:50.440 multi-billionaire, highly invested in TikTok, funneling money through there to say to the Trump campaign,

00:43:56.960 hey, basically, we know you're short on cash.

00:43:59.540 We need this policy change.

00:44:01.260 We need this position change.

00:44:03.000 You know, what's it going to cost to do it effectively?

00:44:05.160 And in a campaign period, you do have to make compromises.

00:44:08.240 That is the very nature of politics.

00:44:09.700 That is the very nature of being in a general election cycle.

00:44:13.080 But I would caution this.

00:44:14.680 If it can be shown that that money is coming from TikTok or TikTok investors,

00:44:20.940 going through U.S. 501c3s, C4s, whatever you want to call it, think tanks,

00:44:26.940 activist groups, pressure groups, or lobbyists,

00:44:29.020 and is ending up somehow in a political campaign,

00:44:32.300 then that political campaign is going to be called an asset of the Chinese Communist Party

00:44:36.600 in the run-up to an election.

00:44:37.840 Now, that's bad, obviously, from a narrative perspective.

00:44:40.720 But we know what Biden and Garland are like.

00:44:42.680 They will use that as a pretext to open investigations,

00:44:45.320 to do more of their spying that they're already doing anyway,

00:44:47.820 but this helps them even further,

00:44:49.320 and to say to the rest of the world, like,

00:44:50.860 look, hey, the Chinese, the Chinese app has basically bought off the Trump campaign with this.

00:44:55.920 So my attitude towards this is Trump should turn around, wash his hands of it.

00:45:00.160 We've got an op-ed up from Will Upton on the National Pulse right now.

00:45:03.640 He worked in the Trump Treasury Department on this issue, on the TikTok ban,

00:45:08.540 and he says this is exactly the bill we wanted.

00:45:11.140 So I think President Trump and the Trump campaign need to kind of –

00:45:14.860 and I'm hearing that the position is going to nuance, by the way,

00:45:18.180 but they need to come back and say, okay, you know what?

00:45:20.360 We were in favor of TikTok ban.

00:45:21.920 We remain in favor of TikTok ban,

00:45:23.720 and no amount of money can change our minds on that.

00:45:25.800 That, personally, is where I would be at.

00:45:27.600 You know, and the way I look at it is this.

00:45:31.480 So we're in a billionaire fight.

00:45:33.100 We're in this fight, and to your point as well,

00:45:35.280 the Chinese Communist Party, he's their lobbyists.

00:45:38.360 Zuckerberg is out there.

00:45:39.480 I'm sure, by the way, Piero Midyar and The Intercept

00:45:42.180 and all those guys are going to be coming out as well,

00:45:44.840 trying to paint this, you know, TikTok as, well, it's actually a Republican app,

00:45:48.440 and, you know, therefore, you know, and all this other stuff.

00:45:51.740 But, you know, when it comes down to it, when it comes down to it,

00:45:55.440 it's not just – because people always say, qui bono, right?

00:45:59.240 Qui bono, who benefits?

00:46:01.640 But I do think that as operatives, as people who are trying to be activist in any of this,

00:46:07.760 we should also remember qui malo, who is harmed.

00:46:11.860 And in this situation, who's harmed is unquestionably the Chinese Communist Party,

00:46:18.180 because whatever they're going to have to do is going to be under American scrutiny.

00:46:24.440 It's going to have much more of an impact on their bottom line than it will for anything else.

00:46:31.540 Yeah, and I think, you know, you look at the people who I consider to be on the right side of this issue.

00:46:36.800 You know, I look at Laura Luma put out a big tweet this morning on the subject.

00:46:42.100 I think Cain over at Citizen Free Press really has his finger on the pulse on this stuff as well.

00:46:46.780 Look, I'm not saying that people need to take other people's word for it.

00:46:51.460 I'm not even saying people need to take my word for it.

00:46:53.860 But this issue is a lot more complicated than just like, hey, there's this app.

00:46:59.280 Should we ban it or not?

00:47:00.680 Because there are so many people with so much money being thrown around on this.

00:47:06.160 And I've got to tell you, like for the people that don't know,

00:47:08.120 there are people in Washington, D.C. who will represent any interest you want from a measly 5K, right?

00:47:17.160 And I know 5K is a lot of money to a lot of people, but in D.C. it's not a lot of money for something like that.

00:47:22.120 And these guys are dealing with tens of millions of dollars in lobbyist cash right now

00:47:27.480 to try and pull this bill, pull this issue in lots of different particular ways.

00:47:31.860 So that's what you have to consider at the end of the day.

00:47:34.620 Where is the money coming from, like you say, qui bono?

00:47:38.120 But also in my attitude towards like, oh, but is it going to end up in the hands of Google or Microsoft or Disney or whatever?

00:47:44.300 It's like, well, yeah, that is perfectly feasible that that situation could occur.

00:47:48.760 I would still argue that as American companies, although we might not like the way that a lot of these American companies function,

00:47:55.420 they're still here, they're still in America, there's still oversight, right?

00:47:58.840 There isn't that with the Chinese Communist Party.

00:48:01.720 There isn't that with ByteDance.

00:48:03.620 So I'm not saying, you know, that this is the solution to all our problems,

00:48:06.920 but it is a solution that takes us further away from the CCP.

00:48:10.740 And I think that's what we all want.

00:48:12.120 Well, and you and I have a friend who is going to be going behind bars in just a couple days' time,

00:48:19.720 Peter Navarro, who fought the CCP more than anyone.

00:48:23.140 And it is unquestionable to me that that's why he is being sent there.

00:48:28.040 Raheem Kassam, the National Pulse, please go follow him.

00:48:31.080 And make sure, by the way, that you subscribe.

00:48:33.140 What's it called again when you subscribe?

00:48:34.440 I love those editor's notes.

00:48:36.880 Yeah, the editor's notes on the bottom of the stories.

00:48:39.040 We're implementing a lot of new things on the site as well.

00:48:41.260 Constantly changing, constantly growing.

00:48:43.860 And remember, I always say this, not beholden to anybody but the general public.

00:48:50.020 TheNationalPulse.com is the URL.

00:48:52.700 And I'm grateful for every level of support that anybody can offer.

00:48:55.720 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to listen.
