Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec - HUMAN EVENTS DAILY： DEC 20 2021 - GHISLAINE MAXWELL TRIAL CLOSING ARGUMENTS TODAY

00:00:00.000 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily, powered by Turning Point USA, and coming to you live from the floor.

00:00:09.980 We are now at Media Row. It was very early this morning that we were recording this, but we are at AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona.

00:00:17.520 Sunny, the Sun Valley, the Valley of the Sun, here in Phoenix, Arizona, where I will be speaking this afternoon.

00:00:23.620 But before then, today's top stories.

00:00:26.320 The Ghislaine Maxwell trial will have its closing arguments today.

00:00:29.320 Next, Project Veritas has named a Jake Tapper producer in an alleged underage photo scandal.

00:00:36.060 Third, new emails have been released that show Fauci and Francis Collins colluded to smear anti-lockdown scientists early on in the pandemic.

00:00:44.840 And finally, a former Harvard chemistry chair has admitted to taking tens of thousands of dollars from the Chinese Communist Party.

00:00:51.620 All this on We're Head, Human Events Daily.

00:00:59.320 Well, we have the Great Reset.

00:01:06.340 We have the Great Awakening.

00:01:07.980 And now we have the Great Cover-Up, the Great Hoodwink, the Great Mop-Up Operation.

00:01:13.360 That's what we're seeing today in a New York courtroom in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial.

00:01:18.000 Ghislaine Maxwell, the last surviving member that we know of on the Jeffrey Epstein Network.

00:01:24.500 What does this mean?

00:01:25.960 Well, it means that the entire case for Ghislaine Maxwell, and we actually have to crunch the numbers on this because I'm fairly certain that if you go date by date, day by day, hour by hour, crunch this down, you will actually find that the Kyle Rittenhouse trial was longer than the Ghislaine Maxwell trial.

00:01:43.680 Ghislaine Maxwell, remember, she's on trial for what? Child sex trafficking, right? 1.00

00:01:48.980 Bringing and recruiting underage children across state lines, taking them for the purpose of sexual activity with Jeffrey Epstein.

00:01:56.560 And we are told through accuser after accuser after accuser of being involved in international rings in terms of this, whether it be from France, whether it be from London with members of the royal family involved like Prince Andrew,

00:02:08.500 whether it be all the way down to the Caribbean, to Little St. James Island, Palm Beach, New Mexico, et cetera, et cetera, the list goes on.

00:02:15.560 But apparently the prosecution team, and we've talked about this before, which is headed by James Comey's own daughter, his hand-picked successor at the SDNY,

00:02:24.520 the most politicized, the most politicized district in the entire federal government, the same district, by the way, that is going after James O'Keefe for the crime of doing journalism that embarrasses the regime.

00:02:37.660 Instead of actually going through and giving us an inquest, explaining to us what took place vis-a-vis Ghislaine Maxwell, no, they're not doing that.

00:02:46.340 Instead, they are giving us a very clean, a very quick, very speedy and swift trial, which of course is constitutional.

00:02:53.380 But at the same time, they are keeping all of the details and documents private.

00:02:57.900 They made deals with Ghislaine Maxwell's legal team so that the 20,000 images that the FBI collected, the little black book, they are not coming out.

00:03:05.940 Listen to how NBC characterized this.

00:03:07.380 Tonight, Ghislaine Maxwell speaking in court for the first time since her high-profile trial began, declining to testify in her own defense, telling the judge,

00:03:18.400 Your Honor, the government has not proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt, and so there's no reason for me to testify.

00:03:25.000 Maxwell faces charges of perjury, and there are other credibility issues that the government would skewer her on the stand with.

00:03:33.020 The former British socialite charged with six sex-related trafficking counts, pleading not guilty to all of them.

00:03:39.460 But as we were doing show prep today, I went and I, of course, I'm going DailyMail.com because you got to love, I don't know how it is, Daily Mail, right?

00:03:46.780 They get these stories that nobody else seems to get in terms of our own country, what's going on.

00:03:50.940 That being said, of course, Ghislaine Maxwell, she is British, they're a British tabloid.

00:03:54.740 They had a source, and there's a quote, and it's, of course, halfway through the article, so you've got to read all these things.

00:04:00.000 I've actually found my new trick for when I'm reading mainstream media articles.

00:04:04.880 I don't start at the headline.

00:04:06.380 I don't start at the beginning.

00:04:07.420 I start in the middle because I know the real story is in the middle, and then I work my way out.

00:04:12.180 And what did I see there?

00:04:14.520 Ghislaine Maxwell could start naming names to prosecutors if she is found guilty of child sex trafficking charges at a U.S. court this week in a deal to cut her sentence or get better conditions in jail, according to a legal source close to Ghislaine Maxwell.

00:04:32.100 And, of course, why would we say, they say, Jack, why would you believe something that a British tabloid is saying about Ghislaine Maxwell?

00:04:40.460 How could they possibly, how could the British tabloids have these type of sources?

00:04:44.020 Who was Ghislaine Maxwell's father?

00:04:46.840 He was the head of the Daily Mirror.

00:04:49.140 He was the head of the British tabloids for all of the U.K., one of the most powerful, you know, and they call him the scandal rags.

00:04:56.000 They call him the scandal sheets.

00:04:57.020 He was one of the most powerful magnates of this, incredibly tied to so many members of the royal family.

00:05:03.640 We've got pictures of him with Prince Andrew, palling around with Princess Di, Prince Charles.

00:05:08.780 And, of course, remember, at his funeral, which was intended by, by the way, heads of very powerful intelligence agencies,

00:05:16.820 we also heard that Ghislaine Maxwell herself has said that she does not believe that her father died of natural causes.

00:05:23.460 They said it was a heart attack.

00:05:24.380 She doesn't believe that.

00:05:25.300 She's also said that she doesn't believe that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide.

00:05:29.240 But, of course, just like everything else in this case, they're not giving us the documents.

00:05:34.560 They won't release what's going on.

00:05:36.600 And so I say to everyone in the federal government, preserve your documents, because this trial, this case, this situation is not ending.

00:05:45.100 And we need a congressional commission to find out what was going on with Epstein, with the entire network, with every single person in that little black book.

00:05:56.700 Project Veritas' latest release was just taken down from Twitter.

00:06:06.360 It was completely erased.

00:06:08.080 And the account that they used to post it was also completely erased.

00:06:11.620 Not only did they take the account down and take the video down, they took the embedded video down from anyone who retweeted it.

00:06:19.020 So when I actually, I ran into James the other day, and I said, James, hey, we posted the video.

00:06:23.960 And he said, go back and check.

00:06:25.140 I went back and check.

00:06:26.620 Twitter had taken it off of my own account.

00:06:29.760 What does this mean?

00:06:30.880 You have to get in the lifeboats now.

00:06:34.060 It is time to batten down the hatches, to head for the lifeboats.

00:06:37.680 And the best lifeboat out there is Getter.

00:06:40.140 Getter.com.

00:06:41.120 G-E-T-T-T-R.com. 0.57

00:06:42.940 That is where we can go.

00:06:44.240 Because I went to Getter immediately after that while we were doing show prep for the show.

00:06:47.780 And where did I find?

00:06:48.800 I found the video immediately.

00:06:50.440 So it was on Getter.com that I was able to find this.

00:06:53.020 They completely suppressed this video across all of Twitter, anyone who posted it.

00:06:58.220 On Getter.com, you are able to find it immediately.

00:07:01.340 This is exactly what I'm talking about.

00:07:03.460 Every single day, there is another instance of this happening.

00:07:07.080 That's why you need to go to Getter, establish your presence today, and be ready for when the band hammer comes for you.

00:07:13.280 Getter.com.

00:07:14.280 So a story we covered last week a little bit, talking about CNN.

00:07:18.960 And Project Veritas had released leaked audio.

00:07:21.800 They also had a source who came forward with it, talking about what they claimed was a CNN producer who was soliciting photos of underage girls.

00:07:32.000 Project Veritas afterwards, of course, we reached out to them.

00:07:34.560 Many people reached out to them, and they said, do you have the name of the CNN producer?

00:07:39.640 Because in that article, in that release they put out, the great James O'Keefe, they didn't actually name who the CNN producer was.

00:07:47.500 And we said, we'd like to know for the purposes of reporting the story.

00:07:50.860 Project Veritas, to their credit, later that day, released the name of the producer.

00:07:55.840 And his name is Rick Salibi, the staffer in question, who's alleged to have made these comments.

00:08:01.800 And he is a producer for Jake Tapper at CNN.

00:08:06.360 Listen to that audio to remind everybody just how depraved this actually was.

00:08:10.500 We're looking at a text message.

00:08:12.040 Could you tell us what this means?

00:08:13.920 He said, so I'm not getting mother-daughter nudes for this help.

00:08:18.140 And when he sends his help, he sent me money.

00:08:20.120 He thinks, because you sent me money, you're going to get a nude photo of me and my daughter. 1.00

00:08:25.360 Are you insane? 0.98

00:08:26.660 I do not want this girl to be a victim. 0.99

00:08:31.940 I'm not a journalist.

00:08:33.200 I'm not a detective.

00:08:34.620 These people with power seem to get away with things.

00:08:38.160 I just want this kid to be saved.

00:08:39.600 And just to remind everybody, that is the only part of the audio that I am even willing to play on this program.

00:08:47.140 Because this thing starts out with audio that is at completely XXX rated.

00:08:53.160 It then goes to X rated.

00:08:54.420 It then goes to NC-17 rating.

00:08:56.360 And then finally drops down to R. 0.94

00:08:58.300 This is some of the sickest, most disgusting, degenerate stuff that I've ever heard.

00:09:02.860 And the mother of the children sent a note to Project Veritas that read, and this is according to Postmillennial,

00:09:06.960 I wanted to reach out sincerely to thank you again.

00:09:10.340 I am very grateful towards you guys and everything you've done for me and my children.

00:09:14.200 Our world has just been completely flipped upside down, but none of that matters.

00:09:18.280 We're all safe.

00:09:19.200 I'm hoping and praying and pushing for charges to be brought against him,

00:09:22.880 so that he can never do this to a child or family again.

00:09:26.020 I want the public and any predators to know that without a shadow of a doubt,

00:09:29.680 that I will go to the absolute ends of the earth to protect my babies.

00:09:33.080 And I am tremendously grateful that all you guys have saved us from him.

00:09:36.960 Despite the hardships ahead, I'm going to continue to sit with these feelings of gratitude towards you guys

00:09:41.460 and the women who provided you the information.

00:09:43.920 Gratitude will get us through to the other side of this.

00:09:46.520 Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and Merry Christmas.

00:09:50.380 And so here's my question, and here's my challenge, and I'll say this to Jake Tapper.

00:09:54.280 Last year, Jake Tapper, I challenged you to come forward to meet with me

00:10:00.200 and that I would provide you a full copy of the Hunter Biden hard drive,

00:10:06.060 which I still have, and I would still offer you a copy of that.

00:10:10.820 But now I'm going to give you, because you couldn't meet that challenge,

00:10:13.240 you couldn't even rise to the bar for that one,

00:10:15.420 I'll give you an even simpler challenge.

00:10:18.560 Jake Tapper, do you recognize the voice on this tape?

00:10:23.200 Do you recognize the voice?

00:10:26.140 Now, James O'Keefe and Project Veritas say that that is your producer.

00:10:30.180 And I'm sure that James, because the New York Times has already gone through

00:10:33.640 all of James' due diligence, all the processes he uses

00:10:36.900 in terms of determining the newsworthiness, the investigation that he conducts,

00:10:41.380 I'm sure that they check the phone number that's associated with those text messages.

00:10:45.680 He says that it's Rick Salibi.

00:10:47.580 But I want you to hear it from you, Jake.

00:10:50.720 I want to know, is that the voice of your producer?

00:10:54.060 Is that the voice of the producer that you worked with every single day

00:10:57.440 since you've been hosting that program, The Lead, for years?

00:11:00.960 Now, I work with my producers every single day,

00:11:03.040 and I guarantee you that I can tell you every single one of their voices

00:11:06.220 from the moment I hear it.

00:11:07.540 You know why?

00:11:08.200 Because when you're working together, you don't always get to see your producer

00:11:10.920 because they might be behind a piece of glass,

00:11:12.760 they might be behind something,

00:11:13.740 they're over your IFB, they're in your ear,

00:11:16.180 so you always know their voices very, very well, Jake.

00:11:19.720 So there is no one on earth who is more qualified to tell me whether or not

00:11:25.680 that is the voice of Rick Salibi than you, Jake Tapper.

00:11:30.340 And the fact of the matter is, because Matt Dormick, the vice president of CNN,

00:11:34.740 the communications director over there, has not said a word about this.

00:11:39.680 CNN has not released a statement.

00:11:41.100 So, Jake, it is up to you.

00:11:44.940 Stand for truth.

00:11:46.000 You've always told us, Jake, that you're a guy who's a straight shooter,

00:11:50.620 that you stand for truth, that you stand for what's right,

00:11:54.600 that you stand for American morality,

00:11:56.240 and you are so good and you are so strong at calling out bigotry and hatred

00:12:00.360 wherever you perceive it to be, whether it's the right or the left.

00:12:04.060 You called out the CCP recently.

00:12:05.860 It took you, you know, years and years to finally do that, but you did.

00:12:08.980 So here's my question, Jake.

00:12:10.280 Do you also stand against the abuse of children for sexual purposes?

00:12:16.840 Do you stand against the corruption of minors?

00:12:20.020 And if so, if you even can't tell us that this isn't your producer,

00:12:25.320 can you help us to identify the voice on this tape?

00:12:29.020 Will you stand up to save the children,

00:12:32.560 to protect them from this predator who is out there,

00:12:35.960 who may, we are told, be associated with CNN?

00:12:39.280 Personally, if that were me, I would have a statement out immediately.

00:12:42.660 I wouldn't wait 75 years like Pfizer.

00:12:45.140 I would come out in 75 seconds and say, hey, is that your voice?

00:12:49.120 Okay, number one, you're fired.

00:12:50.920 Number two, I'm calling the FBI immediately to find out what's going on,

00:12:54.200 to find out what we can do with that.

00:12:56.480 So did you do that, Jake?

00:12:57.560 Did you call the FBI?

00:12:58.680 And by the way, you can tell us.

00:13:00.020 You can tell us if you can't comment on an active investigation.

00:13:02.420 That's perfectly fine.

00:13:03.800 But what I need to know, what I need to know, Jake,

00:13:06.920 what did you think when you heard that audio?

00:13:11.980 Because I heard that audio and it made my blood curdle.

00:13:15.680 New emails show that Dr. Fauci and Dr. Collins colluded to smear anti-lockdown scientists

00:13:29.120 at the very beginning of the entire COVID-19 pandemic.

00:13:33.680 So, of course, when the COVID-19 pandemic was just starting, everybody was worried.

00:13:38.600 Everybody wasn't sure what was going on.

00:13:40.540 And Dr. Fauci, what did he do?

00:13:41.940 He went on TV and he told us what?

00:13:44.300 15 days.

00:13:45.780 15 days to slow the spread.

00:13:48.280 15 days.

00:13:49.120 So, you know what I just did, actually, in during show prep for the show today?

00:13:52.320 I actually went back and calculated how many days has it been since Anthony Fauci told us

00:13:58.580 that we only needed 15 days to slow the spread.

00:14:02.240 It has been, I kid you not, 644 days since we were told 15 days to slow the spread.

00:14:10.740 And the variants have kept coming.

00:14:13.140 The lockdowns have gone on, they've gone off, they've gone on, they've gone off.

00:14:16.700 And the vaccine mandates have been pushed from the highest level.

00:14:19.980 So go back and listen to 644 days ago to what Dr. Fauci said.

00:14:24.540 Now, the 15 days that we had of mitigation clearly have had an effect,

00:14:30.660 although it's tough to quantitate it because of those two opposing forces.

00:14:35.300 But the reason why we feel so strongly about the necessity of the additional 30 days is

00:14:44.000 that now is the time, whenever you're having an effect, not to take your foot off the accelerator

00:14:50.760 and on the brake, but to just press it down on the accelerator.

00:14:55.400 And that's what I hope and I know that we can do.

00:14:58.800 But a couple of months after the institution of these lockdowns,

00:15:02.800 which many people saw as completely draconian,

00:15:05.380 there was, from October 2nd to 4th, 2020,

00:15:09.100 the American Institute for Economic Research hosted a small conference for scientists

00:15:14.080 to discuss the COVID-19 lockdowns.

00:15:17.200 Just four days later, Dr. Francis Collins, who has now left the NIH,

00:15:22.220 but at the time was the longtime director of the NIH,

00:15:26.240 would attack three of the scientists in attendance as fringe epidemiologists

00:15:31.580 in a directive that he sent to none other than Dr. Anthony Fauci

00:15:35.920 and other senior staff of the NIH.

00:15:38.420 And he claimed that they were fringe epidemiologists

00:15:41.520 because they dared to have the temerity,

00:15:44.820 to have the alacrity and the audacity

00:15:46.800 to question the edicts of the great head of the National Institute of Health.

00:15:52.280 Their names, Martin Koldorf of Harvard,

00:15:54.800 Sunetra Gupta of Oxford, and Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford.

00:15:58.780 And what did they do?

00:16:00.040 They followed the evidence.

00:16:01.680 And they wrote something called the Great Barrington Declaration.

00:16:05.340 And we covered this.

00:16:06.400 War Room covered this when I was over there.

00:16:08.100 What did this mean?

00:16:08.940 This was a question of a simple question.

00:16:11.800 They said, were the lockdowns the most effective method to fight COVID-19?

00:16:18.860 Because we know that COVID circulates.

00:16:21.620 We know that it is not chance contact with somebody that gets you COVID.

00:16:26.060 It is long-term exposure to somebody with COVID in close,

00:16:30.540 confined, unfiltered, by the way, unfiltered spaces.

00:16:34.960 This is why airplanes and air travel have not been a major cause of outbreak in this

00:16:40.180 because the air on an airplane is filtered.

00:16:42.480 And we've just, and Harvard has a study out there, anyone can go see this,

00:16:45.440 that the air filtration systems on those airplanes allow for 99% blockage

00:16:51.780 of the particles and particulates and the droplets that cause COVID-19.

00:16:56.800 But what did we see in these emails?

00:16:59.580 Here we go.

00:17:00.800 Dr. Francis to Anthony Fauci.

00:17:03.240 Hi, Tony.

00:17:04.180 And then he posts the Great Barrier Declaration.

00:17:06.660 And he wrote, this proposal from the three fringe epidemiologists who met with the secretary

00:17:12.240 seemed to be getting a lot of attention and even a co-signature from Nobel Prize winner

00:17:16.880 Mike Leavitt at Stanford.

00:17:18.880 This, their need, listen, and actually listen to this.

00:17:21.200 I'm not, I, he, people, I know I'm doing the voice, but he actually writes this in the email.

00:17:27.800 Their needs to be a quick and devastating published and to take down of its premises.

00:17:33.700 I don't see anything like that on the line yet.

00:17:37.040 Is it underway?

00:17:38.480 I mean, this is the type of language that is coming out.

00:17:41.620 There isn't a, hey, this is an interesting take.

00:17:43.760 We should probably see what these guys are talking about.

00:17:45.860 We should find out what's happening.

00:17:47.180 No, a quick and devastating takedown of the premises of the Great Barrier Declaration.

00:17:53.400 That is how much of a threat that this was to anybody out there.

00:17:57.800 Dare you question the science?

00:17:59.600 No, no, no, no, no, no.

00:19:18.320 Today's this story.

00:19:19.240 We've got another one, folks.

00:19:20.600 We've got another one.

00:19:22.260 A former Harvard chemistry chair has admitting to taking tens of thousands of dollars from China.

00:19:28.800 So here's what's interesting to me with Harvard.

00:19:31.100 It's like if you find someone who's not, they're either in bed with the CCP or they're in bed with Jeffrey Epstein.

00:19:37.000 And it's like you go to Harvard.

00:19:38.100 I guess the Harvard faculty, they get a choice when they're there.

00:19:41.140 Maybe they're not doing this as much anymore.

00:19:42.680 It's do you want to take money from Epstein or do you want to take money from the CCP?

00:19:46.160 It's one track or the other track.

00:19:47.660 I guess there's many ways to get tenure at Harvard, but the only two ways to be able to get funding.

00:19:52.440 One CCP and the other is Jeffrey Epstein.

00:19:54.900 So from the Epoch Times, the former chair of Harvard's University Chemistry Department, accused of hiding Chinese ties, has admitting to taking tens of thousands of dollars from China in a video presented to the federal courts December 2017 shows.

00:20:10.520 The video shot during federal investigators interrogation of nanoscientist Charles Lieber was played for jurors during the Friday court hearing, the fourth day of the trial on Lieber's alleged false statements about China funding.

00:20:25.160 The 62-year-old Harvard professor has maintained that he didn't take payments from a Chinese university except for the compensation of his travel costs to China.

00:20:34.720 But he shifted his account quickly after the FBI and their agents accosted him with copies of evidence, including a bilingual contract that he signed with.

00:20:44.360 And by the way, does anybody need to ask at this point, if you've been paying attention, where do you think that the Harvard scientist signed his contract?

00:20:55.020 What city?

00:20:56.420 Think of all of China, all the cities of China, thousands and thousands of cities to choose from.

00:21:01.560 We know Beijing and Shanghai. Beijing's the capital. Shanghai's the most populous city.

00:21:07.420 What city did the Harvard professor, the head of their chemistry department, did he choose to make a deal with when he took tens of thousands of dollars?

00:21:16.760 By the way, $50,000 a month with approximately $158,000 in living expenses.

00:21:24.100 This is part of the CCP's Thousand Talents Plan.

00:21:26.500 And I don't think anybody in the audience, within the sound of my voice, will be surprised to hear that the university that he chose was the Wuhan University of Technology.

00:21:39.200 For some reason, out of the entire scope of the People's Republic of China, he was able to go and pluck just at random.

00:21:47.700 Maybe, I don't know, maybe he threw a dart at a board or something, just stuck his finger on a map and said, yeah, Wuhan, that sounds good.

00:21:53.780 All the way back, I kid you not, 2011.

00:21:58.260 How deep does the rabbit hole of Wuhan go?

00:22:02.060 This is why they didn't want to release any information about what went down in Wuhan.

00:22:07.320 They didn't want to release the origin of COVID-19 because they knew that the minute you started asking questions about Wuhan,

00:22:13.320 that it would not only fall on the CCP and their scientists and whether or not the PLA was actually involved in a program there,

00:22:20.960 that it was going to uncover everyone from the U.S., from our academia, and from our National Institute of Health.

00:22:27.840 Well, that is all the time we have for Human Events Daily, recording here live.
