00:00:00.000 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
00:00:04.300 First story up today, the White House responds to H.E. Daily Jen Psaki spreading freedom flu
00:00:11.980 denialism. She's got a bad case of it. We'll talk about it. Next, freedom flu, the work-life
00:00:17.960 reset. We're going to talk a little bit more about what's driving these labor shortages then,
00:00:22.240 the freedom flu when it comes to religion. And finally, a Loudoun County father has exposed a
00:00:29.020 horrific cover-up of a sexual assault that took place in the schools there. All of us
00:00:33.260 are more ahead, Human Events Daily. So yesterday, we dedicated the entire show
00:00:48.700 to the freedom flu. We went through four segments of it. We covered air, we covered supply chains,
00:00:54.500 we covered the sea, and we covered how it's affecting Joe Biden in his White House.
00:00:59.060 And then something absolutely wonderful happened. My favorite person in the White House
00:01:04.100 decided to respond to this hit number one podcast. Listen to what Jen Psaki had to say.
00:01:11.180 I know there was a little hubbub over the course of the last few days about Southwest Airlines. We
00:01:17.180 now know that some of those claims were absolutely false. And actually, the issues were completely
00:01:22.740 unrelated to vaccine mandates. But again, what we've seen business to business across the country
00:01:27.900 is this is the way to save lives, create more certainty. It's good for the economy. And it's
00:01:32.140 something we're looking forward to implementing. It's all just a bunch of hubbub. There's no real
00:01:37.260 freedom flu. You guys don't need to worry about that. That's a bunch of smoke and mirrors. There
00:01:43.140 isn't anything actually happening. People aren't saying that they don't want to come to work because of
00:01:48.260 the vaccine. People aren't saying that they're burnt out. People aren't taking leave and taking
00:01:52.340 sick time on this. Jen, we've talked to them. We've talked to the employees. I've talked to the
00:01:59.180 employees. And it ain't just Southwest, by the way. You've got air traffic controllers. You've got
00:02:03.980 other airlines. You've got people at Amtrak. You've also got people saying that they're going
00:02:08.000 to start doing work-to-rule slowdowns. What's a work-to-rule slowdown? That's when you implement
00:02:13.700 the strictest interpretation of FAA guidelines that will slow down and gum up the works the
00:02:19.740 same way that anybody knows you can. They say, well, you know, example, glass breaks on the
00:02:24.080 floor. Oops. Oh boy. Got to call maintenance to come in and fix that up. Yeah. And I have
00:02:28.540 to get that carpet change. Whoa. There's glass particles on it. Yep. Going to have to delay
00:02:32.140 the flight. Going to have to delay the flight. You know, we got, we got glass on the ground
00:02:35.020 here. So you see, there's so many ways that they can do this without conducting. Now, if they
00:02:41.620 would conduct an actual walkout, an actual strike, that's called, and as we said all along, that would
00:02:47.380 be an illegal job action under the Railroad Workers Act, right? They are declared strategic
00:02:53.580 workers. They can't just go ahead and do that. So obviously, they're not, there's not going to be a
00:02:58.800 direct, you know, a direct strike. But Jen, there's a sick out. The freedom flu is real and it's
00:03:06.520 spreading. You've got Kyrie Irving over in the NBA saying that he's now been benched. He can't play
00:03:11.560 or practice for the Nets because he refuses to take the vaccine. He actually had a fantastic
00:03:16.380 and very science-based response as to why, because he has natural immunity. Excuse me,
00:03:20.480 sir. Are you vaccinated? No, actually, I'm immuno, just like myself. Next up, I had a Southwest employee
00:03:27.800 reach out to me. Guess what? They are going to be holding, let me check this, Monday, October 18th,
00:03:34.560 8.30 a.m. at Southwest Airlines headquarters. Let your voice be heard. Please join your Southwest
00:03:42.480 cohorts, vaccinated or not, in exercising your First Amendment right to a peaceful protest
00:03:48.220 of the recent COVID-19 vaccination mandate. So they're going to be holding this. It's at
00:03:52.680 the Southwest headquarters. It's right there in Dallas. By the way, the same Dallas where
00:03:58.320 the governor just stated that no entity, passed a law that no entity is allowed to push vaccine
00:04:02.940 mandates. And so Southwest, of course, is headquartered in Texas. How are they going to play this? Who's
00:04:08.320 going to blink first? And they don't want us to see, by the way, they don't want us to see,
00:04:13.040 and I talked about this yesterday, the lawsuit that was filed by the Southwest Airline Pilots
00:04:19.940 Association stating that they wanted a federal injunction against the vaccine mandate. Now,
00:04:27.100 here's an interesting piece that on Good Morning America yesterday, the Southwest CEO came out and he
00:04:32.300 stated, no employee will be fired over the vaccine mandate. This is Gary Kelly put this out.
00:04:38.820 CEO of Southwest Airlines stated that no employees will be fired of the company's vaccine mandate.
00:04:43.660 However, the airline announced on October 4th that all 56,000 U.S. and Southwest employees need to be
00:04:50.640 vaccinated against COVID-19 by November 24th or face termination. We've also got the receipts on this.
00:04:57.120 Here is the actual guidance internally released by Southwest stating, failure to comply with the
00:05:03.680 COVID-19 vaccine policy will result in termination of employment. And Gary, I looked up the SEC
00:05:09.000 filings. We know that you are leaving your post as CEO. You're stepping down in four months and your
00:05:14.200 bonus, what does it say in the filings? Your 14A, we've got your 14A, Gary. Your bonus is tied to your
00:05:22.280 handling of COVID. So you are looking for that golden parachute that says that you did everything
00:05:28.560 you could and you did a great job with COVID and any problems were related to something else because
00:05:33.320 you've got a financial incentive. You've got skin in the game. Now you've got a conflict of interest
00:05:38.380 on this. We've got the receipts, Gary. We got the receipts. So show me. And I want my sources in
00:05:43.500 Southwest to reach out to HG Daily to reach out to me. Tell me if new guidance comes out that backs up
00:05:49.000 what Gary said on Good Morning America, that no employee will be fired. We are standing up for
00:05:55.000 workers and the freedom flu is spreading. The freedom flu is spreading and we want to keep it
00:06:04.720 going. We also want to keep this podcast going. So go to MyPillow.com, use promo code POSO, up the 66%
00:06:11.160 off. Keep MyPillow going. Keep those American workers and those made in America products going.
00:06:16.380 No vaccine mandate at MyPillow. And it's really great because you also have to look at the fact
00:06:22.320 that we're going in, we're getting very close to Christmas. And because of the labor shortage issue
00:06:26.420 that's been caused in the logistics and the supply chain situation by Joe Biden and his mandates,
00:06:31.840 you want to get your MyPillow orders in now when it comes to Christmas. Christmas is coming up a lot
00:06:36.800 faster than I think people realize. And because of these slowdowns, you need to get the orders in now.
00:06:41.880 Go to MyPillow.com. You can get the, there's a deal on the sheets. You get six for one. You get
00:06:47.420 the sheets. You get the towels. You get the pillows. In fact, you also have the pillows you can get for
00:06:52.020 the kids. They have the biblical stories on them. They're absolutely fantastic. That's what we do for
00:06:56.020 my son. He has a nativity one. We have a Noah's Ark one. He takes it to daycare. It's great. This is how
00:07:01.080 you pass on your traditions. MyPillow.com, promo code POSO. Now, listen to what's going on with the
00:07:08.440 freedom flu because it's more than just freedom from the mandates. We're also looking at people
00:07:14.420 choosing freedom in other ways because they're changing their relationship to work. It's called
00:07:20.680 the great resignation. And the new data is out from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is actually
00:07:25.760 crazy. Four million workers resigned from their jobs last year. This is very interesting. Listen
00:07:32.960 to what CNBC had to say about it. Amazon announcing it'll be giving some of its workers more flexibility
00:07:37.220 to work from home indefinitely. And CNBC partnered with Catalyst on a new survey just out today
00:07:43.940 that explains why Amazon is doing this. And the results are a wake-up call for corporate America.
00:07:50.140 More than half of employed American parents of school-aid children and over 40 percent of all
00:07:56.000 employed Americans say they are considering leaving their jobs. They cite their employer's
00:08:01.060 lack of concern for their well-being. We also found a stark disconnect between what employees want and
00:08:06.980 what their employers tell them that they need. About three-quarters of employed Americans say their
00:08:12.520 employer believes that employees are just more innovative and work harder when they are in the office.
00:08:18.040 But even more employed people say they would like their company to make work permanently flexible.
00:08:24.660 And though there were consistent themes, we did find some striking differences between how men and
00:08:29.760 women are reacting to the pandemic. Employed men are much more likely than employed women to say that
00:08:35.320 they're considering leaving their job because their company or manager has not cared about their
00:08:40.020 concerns during the pandemic. And men are more likely than women to say they intend to make changes in
00:08:45.940 their career, such as asking for a raise or starting a company. So we'll have to see if more companies
00:08:51.540 follow Amazon's lead and retreat from their office-centric work plans, John, in light of these pretty
00:08:58.160 dramatic numbers showing... So this is something I've been talking about for a long time. I used to call it
00:09:03.060 escape the cube farms. Get out of the cubicles. What do I mean by that? You are selling your time to
00:09:10.360 somebody else. And you are never going to be financially stable selling your time to somebody
00:09:15.460 else. Eight hours a day plus two hours commuting back and forth, right? For what? For a wage, right?
00:09:22.380 You're paying off debt. You're going to be paying a wage. I think a lot of people, a lot of people
00:09:26.700 took that year last year. They're calling it the great resignation now. They stepped back when the
00:09:32.400 lockdowns were on and they said, you know what? I like spending time with my family or I like spending
00:09:37.220 time with myself. I don't know if I want to get on that rat race wheel anymore. I don't know if I want
00:09:42.360 to keep doing that sort of thing. And I, for one, I absolutely applaud that. I totally applaud the
00:09:48.280 re-imagination of work, people who are looking at freelancing in a new way. It's so much better and it's
00:09:55.180 being entrepreneurial. With the internet now, there's so... And by the way, I'm not talking about like, you
00:09:59.700 know, the gig work of, you know, just being an Uber driver or DoorDash, et cetera, et cetera. Great things,
00:10:05.260 by the way. Excellent side hustles. You got some time, you want to, you know, rent it out. That's
00:10:09.620 great. But be your own boss. Have the ability to do that. That's a big part of freedom. So, you know,
00:10:15.760 I don't know if there's any Dave Ramsey fans out there, but I don't know if I'm supposed to promote
00:10:19.600 somebody else's podcast on my podcast, but I'm going to do that. I think it's great. I think that's
00:10:24.400 a great way to get started in all of this, that if you're in debt, to get off of it. But then you can
00:10:28.660 also take that to the next level and then figure out ways to use debt to leverage and use it to your
00:10:33.160 advantage. Once you get to that point, this is a huge reason. Look, the great reset is happening
00:10:38.380 because they do not want you to be financially literate. They want to keep interest rates
00:10:44.320 negative so that you can't make any money because they want you to be a renter class. They want you
00:10:50.640 to be a renter class that is trapped in debt so that you continue working for the nameless,
00:10:55.640 faceless corporations that go on and you're servicing your debt and your entire life is based around
00:11:01.120 service to your debt, right? That's what they want. That's what the system wants. That's what
00:11:06.480 the great reset is all about. You'll own nothing and you'll be happy. Wall Street becomes your
00:11:11.320 landlord. You don't have to live that way. You don't have to play that game. A big part of, you know,
00:11:16.360 we talk about get out of cities. Well, a big part of that is being your own boss, finding ways to
00:11:21.920 achieve financial freedom. Financial freedom is the next leg of this. And conservatives, quite frankly,
00:11:29.420 if you want to be pro-freedom, you have to teach financial freedom to the people because they're
00:11:36.400 not going to figure it out on their own. They're not going to be taught this in school. Imagine if
00:11:39.680 we actually taught, imagine if we actually taught financial basics to every student in America.
00:11:47.840 I think it would be incredible. I think it would be fantastic. That's the kind of country
00:11:51.280 that I want to live in. Stay tuned. Coming back more, Freedom Clue, Human Rights Daily.
00:11:59.420 The Freedom Flu pandemic spreads and it continues. It's going coast to coast, folks. It's probably
00:12:10.640 going to end up going international as well. Now, religious exemptions are coming on board.
00:12:16.460 Huge Ws, absolutely huge Ws in the religious exemption category came down yesterday. The big
00:12:23.480 one, the very first one that came out was for the military. And specifically, it flies in the face
00:12:29.920 of what Joe Biden, who claims to be a Catholic, has said. Listen to what Joe Biden said about abortion as
00:12:35.780 a Catholic.
00:12:36.120 What the Catholic bishops have done. Are you concerned about this rift within the Catholic
00:12:43.760 Church? And are you concerned about this action?
00:12:46.440 Say again.
00:12:46.980 The Catholic bishops are moving on this resolution that would prevent you and others who've
00:12:53.200 supported abortion from receiving communion. Are you concerned about the rift in the Catholic
00:12:58.700 Church? And how do you feel personally about that?
00:13:02.000 That's a private matter. And I don't think that's going to happen. Thank you.
00:13:05.300 Well, here's the problem with that. The archbishop for military affairs for the entire U.S. military
00:13:12.300 has just come out and stated, Catholic troops can refuse the COVID vaccine. No one should
00:13:18.520 be forced to receive a COVID-19 vaccine if it would violate the sanctity of his or her
00:13:23.900 conscience, Broglio wrote. This is the archbishop for Catholic affairs for the entire U.S. military.
00:13:31.060 Now, people might be asking, and I understand, I understand. They say, well, hold on. Pope Francis
00:13:35.220 is the pope of all Catholics. And he said, take the vaccine. Can this archbishop just come up
00:13:40.580 and counter me and the pope? Yes. As a matter of fact, he can. And I can explain this as a Catholic.
00:13:45.120 When the pope is speaking as with the official power of his role, that's called speaking ex
00:13:51.320 cathedra. This is a very rare event. It means from the chair. That means he's speaking with the
00:13:56.780 full power of his office. When he's just making a comment on some political issue or a social issue
00:14:02.360 that does not set the doctrine of the church. And as such, remember, the pope is the bishop of Rome.
00:14:08.060 Other bishops can also give their opinions on these issues. And then councils are held. And there
00:14:14.180 are very long, drawn-out processes for actually changing official doctrine of the church. This
00:14:19.820 has not happened here when it comes to this specific vaccine. And the archbishop pointed out that the
00:14:26.180 vaccine comes from abortion-derived cells, the testing on those cells. This just played a role
00:14:32.640 in a huge event up in Utica, New York. Listen to what happened in New York last week.
00:14:37.180 No way to cloud that. There's no gray area. I need to keep people in this state safe.
00:14:42.060 And we'll be nation-leading with our mandate, which strikes at midnight tonight, when everyone
00:14:47.880 is expected in a hospital in the state of New York or a health care facility to have been vaccinated.
00:14:53.460 We are hit the first. We're hit the hardest. And I want to be the first to say we're over this.
00:14:58.480 And so I'm calling on all the health care workers. First of all, those of you who've been
00:15:02.860 vaccinated, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing what was right and helping
00:15:08.480 lead the way so we do have the confidence we need. And to those who have not yet made
00:15:13.560 that decision, please do the right thing. And to all the other health care workers who
00:15:19.420 are vaccinated, they also deserve to know that the people they're working with will not get
00:15:24.060 them sick. Today is a significant deadline. It reflects my priority to just stop this virus
00:15:30.240 dead in its tracks. We are over it. We are done. We want to move on. And the only way we can do that
00:15:36.100 is to ensure that everyone is vaccinated, but particularly individuals who are taking care
00:15:42.420 of the people who are sick.
00:15:43.940 So the governor of New York, the new governor that nobody voted for, Kathy Hochul, has come out and
00:15:48.400 said that she did not want, she was excluding religious exemptions. Ah, ah, ah. Federal judge
00:15:55.020 just came down and said that he's ruling on the favor of 17 health care workers that are calling for
00:16:02.160 a religious exemption to the vaccine mandate on the basis of the fetal cell lines, the abortion testing
00:16:08.860 that was done on these products. This is why when Project Veritas released those Pfizer emails just
00:16:14.180 last week, they didn't want that information getting out because they knew that it would lead
00:16:19.480 to religious exemptions, direct religious exemptions. So understand what's going on here.
00:16:24.520 You got the president of the United States, you got the Pope, and you've got Pfizer all trying to cover
00:16:29.940 up what's really going on here. They are trying to force pro-life Catholics and Christians and other
00:16:37.940 believers who hold this as a supreme core tenet of their religious beliefs, and they are trying
00:16:44.780 to force you to receive this. They can't do it. They can't do it under law. They are not able to.
00:16:51.380 Religious protection, as written, go read the ruling by this judge, by the way. Religious protection
00:16:56.880 comes under your First Amendment.
00:16:59.180 So this is one of those stories where I would prefer not to have to report this, but we have
00:17:10.060 to report this because it's what's going on in our country and it's important. The story was broken
00:17:14.180 by Luke Rosiak of the Daily Wire. You remember in Loudoun County, Virginia, when the school board
00:17:20.400 protests were going on and one of them got particularly heated. There was an individual, there was a father,
00:17:26.060 who was demanding a chance to speak. He was forcibly arrested without being given a chance
00:17:32.900 to speak. The footage went viral. They tried to paint him as some crazy right-wing conspiracy
00:17:38.820 theorist, bigot, etc., etc. It turns out that that father had had a student daughter who was raped,
00:17:48.400 sexually assaulted, by a boy who we're told wears a skirt sometimes and uses the girls' room.
00:18:00.640 That incident happened. The school knew about it. And instead of doing anything, they covered
00:18:04.920 it up. And they didn't file charges. They didn't even contact police. Go watch the footage
00:18:11.200 of the father being arrested, trying to plead his case to the school board.
00:18:18.200 iets! No, I'm not
00:18:31.720 born!
00:18:33.440 I'm a boy! Do you? I have a boy. But não, I deixoない nurse.
00:18:36.160 Alec and I have no one of them. I do not count jeśli Iurf, so many of them are solid.
00:18:39.360 I'm a boy.
00:18:47.640 My child was right back.
00:18:50.560 And this is what happened.
00:18:53.760 Good job.
00:18:56.760 Good job.
00:18:57.760 I'll hit.
00:18:58.760 Yeah.
00:18:59.760 Oh, yeah.
00:19:00.760 Yeah, I'll hit.
00:19:02.760 Yeah.
00:19:03.760 That was very good.
00:19:05.760 And if that weren't bad enough, not only was the student in question not charged, they
00:19:25.480 were transferred to another school.
00:19:28.580 At that school in October, they were arrested again for another incident of sexual assault.
00:19:40.520 What is going on in Loudoun County?
00:19:43.300 What is going on in our schools where we're going to allow this insanity to take place?
00:19:49.240 He has been by now charged for the initial attack.
00:19:53.820 Thank God.
00:19:56.360 But the school board wouldn't even allow the father to speak.
00:20:01.120 This is high school, by the way.
00:20:02.540 These are teenagers, underage.
00:20:06.360 My heart goes out to this father.
00:20:07.600 My heart goes out to the family and, of course, to his daughter.
00:20:11.360 I pray for them the same way I pray for this country, the same way I pray for my family.
00:20:17.240 What are we doing to our kids?
00:20:19.600 Why are we allowing this to go on?
00:20:22.860 The state of Virginia, the parents of Virginia, the people of Virginia, you can't allow this
00:20:28.620 to be going on.
00:20:29.620 We can't allow this to be happening to our kids, to our children.
00:20:34.100 In the name of what?
00:20:35.620 Political correctness?
00:20:36.620 No.
00:20:37.620 This has to stop.
00:20:38.620 I don't care what party you are.
00:20:40.620 I don't care what your background is.
00:20:44.080 This is child abuse and it's sexual assault and it has to stop.
00:20:49.620 We need to start listening to these parents when they are telling us what's going on with
00:20:55.180 their children.
00:21:16.180 It's time for today's moment of history.
00:21:18.940 Today, October 16th, is the 246th birthday of the United States Navy.
00:21:26.940 The Navy that I served in years ago, the same Navy that so many people out there have served
00:21:31.940 in.
00:21:32.940 The Navy that won the Pacific in World War II.
00:21:34.940 Now, I know there's been some problems lately.
00:21:36.940 I know, but that doesn't mean that we're going to throw the whole institution under the bus.
00:21:42.560 So bravo Zulu to my fellow sailors and to all the veterans out there.
00:21:46.540 And by the way, also a very special happy birthday to my brother, Kevin.
00:21:50.080 It's his birthday.
00:21:51.080 God bless you.
00:21:52.080 I love you.
00:21:53.080 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
