00:00:25.060 Totally free.

00:00:25.780 The Poso Daily Brief.

00:00:30.320 This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.

00:00:39.640 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.

00:00:46.320 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.

00:00:49.420 Christ is king.

00:00:51.000 FBI Director Akash Patel says that he cut the agency's eyes with the anti-defamation beat.

00:00:57.280 The move comes after conservatives criticized the group for including slain activist Charlie Kirk's organization in a glossary of extremism.

00:01:06.920 In a social media post, FBI Director Akash Patel said, quote, the Bureau won't partner with political front masquerading as watchdogs.

00:01:15.060 The government shut down now on its third day.

00:01:17.460 Lawmakers still at a standstill, as the Senate's expected to reconvene this afternoon, trying to find a solution.

00:01:23.860 The White House says President Trump has a red line for deciding Hamas isn't serious about his latest peace plan, but he won't say what it is.

00:01:32.840 Venezuela claims that five American warplanes were detected off the Venezuelan coast.

00:01:39.300 This as the U.S. deploys a fleet of warships throughout the Caribbean in an effort the administration says to combat drug trafficking.

00:01:48.220 At least three people arrested overnight during a chaotic protest outside the Portland ICE facility.

00:01:54.400 We witnessed a violent fistfight that left a man knocked out.

00:01:58.280 We saw the burning of American flag, the macing of protesters, and multiple clashes with federal agents.

00:02:03.900 One of those clashes, federal agents bullrushing and arresting a protester who had stepped on a federal property despite repeated warnings.

00:02:11.320 There was another protester taunting the agents on a megaphone, asking them what the feds were going to do about it.

00:02:16.300 Guys, there was no Portland police around to intervene during any of this.

00:02:21.880 It's an issue the Portland ICE director told me has been an ongoing problem due to local politics.

00:02:27.160 We got a Trump supporter. We got a Trump supporter.

00:02:29.920 Oh, he's putting it on the ground and he's making it worse.

00:02:34.500 You know, he's standing on it.

00:02:39.180 You're not supposed to stand on it.

00:02:41.420 Oh, now I think he's saving it. 0.98

00:02:45.060 I'm just f***ing in your brother. 0.69

00:02:46.880 You're going to have a conversation about a bigger picture here. 1.00

00:02:50.920 What a f***ing loser. 0.99

00:02:54.540 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily. 1.00

00:02:57.920 We are here live in the Charlie Kirk studio, Phoenix, Arizona,

00:03:03.280 where we've been working out of since Charlie's murder.

00:03:06.640 Charlie's chair, of course, right here next to us.

00:03:09.760 Nick Sortor, an American journalist, someone who's willing to go into harm's way,

00:03:15.860 someone who's put himself in harm's way, was arrested last night on the streets of Portland.

00:03:22.700 Well, Antifa has been allowed to roam free.

00:03:25.640 Antifa, who assaulted, brutally and viciously assaulted my colleague and my friend, Katie Davis Court of the Post Millennial.

00:03:37.000 No one was arrested there.

00:03:39.540 Nick Sortor was attacked.

00:03:41.220 We have this on video.

00:03:42.620 He gets attacked.

00:03:44.440 He defends himself while trying to get off the ground.

00:03:47.340 And then he gets arrested.

00:03:51.260 This is anarcho-tyranny.

00:03:54.460 This is the anarcho-tyranny whereby in the communists, the anarchists, they are allowed free reign.

00:04:03.360 And the mayor and the governor get to run around saying, oh, everything's safe.

00:04:06.380 Yeah, because your shock troops, your foot soldiers are not attacking you.

00:04:12.240 They work for you.

00:04:13.760 They are subservient to you.

00:04:16.260 But if you go in and defend yourself, you, a law-abiding citizen, go in and defend yourself,

00:04:22.960 you will be arrested as they attack you.

00:04:25.720 That's the tyranny.

00:04:27.220 You're a domestic terrorist if you try to defend yourself,

00:04:30.540 if you try to protect your right to live, your right to exist.

00:04:36.380 And the expression of the right to life is the right to self-defense.

00:04:44.000 But here's the problem with these people.

00:04:46.320 They deny your right to life.

00:04:48.060 They deny your rights, your human rights, your God-given rights.

00:04:52.520 And when they deny your right to exist, when they deny your right to life, what do they do?

00:04:57.700 They censor.

00:04:59.060 They shun.

00:05:00.420 They ostracize.

00:05:01.920 They use lawfare.

00:05:02.920 And eventually, if all of that fails,

00:05:08.540 they go to bullets like Charlie Kirk.

00:05:14.360 And they try to silence you through any means possible.

00:05:20.080 This is an American city on American soil.

00:05:25.340 And guess what?

00:05:26.740 Guess who the president of Portland is?

00:05:29.240 Donald Trump.

00:05:30.520 Guess who the president of Seattle is?

00:05:32.860 Donald Trump.

00:05:33.940 Guess who the president of Washington, D.C. is?

00:05:36.800 Donald Trump.

00:05:37.820 Guess who the president of Los Angeles is?

00:05:39.780 Donald Trump.

00:05:40.400 And it sounds like there's a lot of people out there who don't understand this.

00:05:46.100 They don't have it gotten through their skulls yet that Donald Trump is the president of the United States.

00:05:50.180 He is the chief magistrate.

00:05:51.760 He is the one elected by the people.

00:05:54.140 The popular vote, need I remind you, in 2024 to restore law and order.

00:06:01.040 And not just for Nick, but for all the residents, the people who live in Portland, the business owners, the children who live there, the churches that are out there, the good, hardworking, working class of Portland.

00:06:14.600 Doesn't matter what their background is.

00:06:16.600 What matters is there are criminals that have been given over the rights to the streets the same way they did in Chaz in Seattle five years ago.

00:06:23.640 When people couldn't go to work and they're dodging armed militants, checkpoints with militia, and the police are told to stand down.

00:06:35.040 And what's worse, now in Portland, the police are told to arrest anyone who defends themselves or arrest anyone who's filming it.

00:06:47.660 They're completely out of control.

00:06:50.360 They're completely upside down.

00:06:52.080 But I want everyone to understand, this is what communists do.

00:06:58.240 This is what they do every single time.

00:07:02.340 They infiltrate every institution until they take power.

00:07:06.180 And that power is not used for the good of the people.

00:07:08.400 The power is used, dear listener, against you.

00:07:12.620 We're going to fight back.

00:07:13.600 Nick will be here later in the show.

00:07:14.880 Jack Posobiec, Human Events, Daily Real America's Voice, coming up next.

00:07:22.080 We'll stand in our way and our golden age has just begun.

00:07:27.580 This is Human Events with Jack Posobiec.

00:07:29.600 Now it's time for everyone to understand what America First truly means.

00:07:34.280 Welcome to the second American revolution.

00:07:38.700 Jack Posobiec, we're back live here, Human Events, Daily Real America's Voice.

00:07:46.880 Ladies and gentlemen, I got some big news.

00:07:49.300 Blackout Coffee is back.

00:07:51.420 Now for years, you know that Blackout Coffee has been my coffee of choice.

00:07:55.780 And I know so many of you have, you're sitting there saying,

00:07:59.820 I don't want to miss a single day of my Blackout Coffee.

00:08:03.000 I'll tell you something.

00:08:03.660 Blackout Coffee isn't just coffee.

00:08:05.400 It's like America in a cup. 0.61

00:08:07.980 Now Blackout Coffee was founded on Christian values, rooted in family,

00:08:11.600 and built on the belief that hardworking Americans deserve better

00:08:15.280 than the corporate swill that's out there.

00:08:18.660 Blackout Coffee is a family business that roasts every single batch right here in the USA.

00:08:25.380 Now two roasts that you've absolutely got to try.

00:08:27.960 You're going to love these.

00:08:28.640 Morning Reaper.

00:08:30.060 This is a smooth, medium roast.

00:08:32.920 And it starts off your day without that bitterness,

00:08:35.560 that kind of really nasty, kind of like aftertaste flavor.

00:08:39.100 And that's for your dark roast lovers. 0.97

00:08:40.620 The other one, Brutal Awakening.

00:08:42.740 I got to say, I'm a brutal awakening guy.

00:08:44.980 This is a bold, rich roast with deep flavor that'll keep you sharp and alert.

00:08:49.260 It's perfect for serving friends and family around Christmas, around the holidays,

00:08:52.820 because let's face it, the best gathering start with the best coffee.

00:08:56.920 So here's the deal.

00:08:58.220 Go to BlackoutCoffee.com slash POSO and use promo code POSO for 20% off your first order.

00:09:04.440 That's BlackoutCoffee.com slash POSO.

00:09:07.100 Support a company that shares your values, supports American jobs, and fuels your freedom.

00:09:12.260 One cup at a time.

00:09:14.380 BlackoutCoffee.com slash POSO.

00:09:16.520 Now, folks, we've been talking about the insanity that Netflix has been under,

00:09:22.380 this huge boycott of canceled Netflix, all the rest of it.

00:09:28.400 And we're now at a point where the creator of this show on Netflix has been celebrating the death of my friend Charlie Kirk,

00:09:36.860 calling him a random Nazi, cheering about it, attacking people for expressing sorrow for Charlie's murder.

00:09:45.360 He's got to show up on Netflix, targeted at kids, pushing transgenderism, teaching kids that it's okay to be trans. 0.79

00:09:54.600 And I said, you know something, this is exactly what we started working and partnering with Brave Books four years ago,

00:10:02.680 back in 2021, to start fighting against, and believe it or not, Brave Books even has now a streaming service.

00:10:10.680 So I want to bring on another of my great Brave Books partners.

00:10:15.660 It's Kevin Sorbo joins us.

00:10:17.100 Kevin, how are you, man?

00:10:19.320 Pretty good.

00:10:19.820 Pretty good.

00:10:20.240 I told you earlier, this is the first time I'm doing one of these podcasts in a car.

00:10:23.940 I'm in Chicago shooting a movie.

00:10:25.200 We're just going to the next location.

00:10:26.680 But I love that you brought in Brave Books.

00:10:29.480 I've been with them about four years, just like you have.

00:10:31.220 In fact, I just did five more commercials for them recently.

00:10:34.180 They should be coming up pretty soon.

00:10:35.520 And then they hit me up just recently as well to do one from my hotel room.

00:10:39.880 And I think it's out there right now.

00:10:41.380 So it is attacking the craziness of what Netflix is doing.

00:10:45.360 But, you know, I posted on X, gosh, about six months ago.

00:10:49.820 Maybe it's even longer than that.

00:10:51.400 And, you know, I like to rile them up because it's so easy to rile up the left.

00:10:54.660 And I said, I didn't get blacklisted from Hollywood. 0.98

00:10:56.740 I left Hollywood because it's nothing but pedos there. 0.98

00:10:59.040 And part of it was just a joke to see what's going on with all this pedophile talk of, you know, 0.98

00:11:03.920 big-name actors and people behind the camera.

00:11:06.500 Well, I think there's some truth to that as well.

00:11:08.360 And this is the craziness of, you know, the society that we're living in right now,

00:11:12.460 which is really unfortunate.

00:11:15.440 No, it is.

00:11:16.600 And, Kevin, look, you know, when you tie that back, like, I'm sitting here in the Charlie Kirk studio.

00:11:21.640 I'm in Phoenix.

00:11:22.660 I've been here since he was murdered.

00:11:24.860 Charlie's chair is empty.

00:11:26.280 It's right next to me here.

00:11:27.720 And this is the creator of the show on Netflix was celebrating it.

00:11:32.060 And you'd think if this were on the other side, and, you know, you've been in Hollywood,

00:11:37.060 you've been around there, you can't celebrate this stuff.

00:11:39.560 If someone had been celebrating, you know, over George Floyd or something like that, they'd be run out of town.

00:11:45.520 But for some reason, Netflix is totally fine to support a guy who celebrates the murder of Charlie Kirk.

00:11:50.500 Well, you know, this hypocrisy, it's been going on forever.

00:11:54.780 We see it all the time.

00:11:56.280 If you, like you said, if you flip the color of a person, that's enough to make them go crazy the other way around.

00:12:02.440 But if it serves their insanity and their ideology, then they cheer it.

00:12:07.080 And, I mean, the stuff I saw, what people were saying, I mean, Omar, the things she was saying about Charlie,

00:12:12.640 I keep saying, you know, they love their labels like Nazi, whatever it may be.

00:12:16.580 You're anti-this, you're trans-this, all that kind of stuff.

00:12:21.060 Show me the example where he was a Nazi. 0.79

00:12:23.360 That's what cracks me up.

00:12:24.720 I mean, the people that, like Antifa says they're anti-fascist, they're the ones who are the fascists.

00:12:29.700 So, to me, it's like everything is just flipped.

00:12:32.400 It's all, they know what they're guilty of, but they project it back on you and I,

00:12:36.540 when they're the ones who are guilty of what they're blaming us for.

00:12:38.840 It's just, I don't know when it's going to end.

00:12:41.620 I mean, the wokeness is, you think there's a tipping point going on here.

00:12:44.560 I certainly did with Trump's re-election, and I hope it just keeps on going.

00:12:48.600 I love the fact that this guy's not afraid.

00:12:50.940 There's no fear within this man. 0.98

00:12:52.980 But for them to sit there and cheer Charlie Kirk's death, it just shows you how sick and twisted these people truly are. 0.99

00:12:58.640 They love murder. 0.99

00:12:59.560 They love death. 0.92

00:13:00.660 The Liberal Party has changed so drastically since, from decades ago.

00:13:04.460 They've turned into this, well, we know where they are.

00:13:07.360 I mean, they're not, it's not liberalism anymore.

00:13:09.620 This is socialism leaning into Marxism, and that's the world they love to live in, apparently.

00:13:14.280 But we've got to shape up what's happening in this country.

00:13:16.780 To me, I still want to ship off people.

00:13:19.340 I would love to give them a one-way ticket on our tax dollars to go to North Korea, Venezuela, Russia, 0.78

00:13:23.980 anywhere in the Middle East other than Israel.

00:13:26.280 And then their utopia is already waiting for them, because it's taken a long time to flip this country into what they actually want.

00:13:32.280 Those countries already have what they want.

00:13:34.360 So why don't they go to those countries if they hate America so much?

00:13:38.760 Yeah, Communist China is right there.

00:13:40.740 I'm sure they'd be more than welcome to go and be there.

00:13:45.160 And, Kevin, let me ask you, though, did it surprise you when you saw so many people out there,

00:13:51.160 and I'm sure many of them are Netflix subscribers, that were celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk?

00:13:57.260 That didn't actually surprise me. 0.99

00:13:58.720 It made me sick, and it's pretty pathetic. 0.94

00:14:00.240 But, you know, these people, if we did a documentary on who these people are, 0.99

00:14:05.720 I can almost guarantee you they come from broken homes.

00:14:08.220 They're probably raised only by mothers, no father in the house.

00:14:11.440 There's no moral value in them because they didn't go to church in any way.

00:14:15.560 They have no belief in a God.

00:14:16.980 They have no belief in goodness.

00:14:19.820 They have no belief in any sort of morality.

00:14:22.360 So it doesn't surprise me completely, but it certainly saddens me that this is where we are.

00:14:27.980 But, you know, we're going to keep fighting the good fight.

00:14:31.580 I mean, you look at when Trump got elected the first time around, what did a lot of Hollywood actors do?

00:14:36.640 I mean, what's-her-name parade around with, you know, a beheading Donald Trump?

00:14:40.640 And it was—it's just—it's so weird.

00:14:43.360 It's just—I wish—yeah, exactly.

00:14:45.660 It was Griffin.

00:14:46.220 So I don't know.

00:14:47.600 It's—these people are incredibly evil, incredibly sad, and they hate who they are.

00:14:52.560 I guarantee you they look in the mirror and do not like what they see.

00:14:55.000 Well, I agree with you.

00:14:56.640 It begins with that self-resentment and the self-loathing.

00:15:00.160 So when you've got stuff like this, we can sit here and we can complain about it.

00:15:05.140 But what I love about what you've done, what the people at Brave Plus are doing,

00:15:09.080 they're fighting back and have created this incredible service for parents or grandparents

00:15:14.840 to get the book series, Brave Books, but also the streaming service, Brave Plus.

00:15:19.560 Tell us about what they're doing.

00:15:20.580 You know, they put books out there that have positive messages.

00:15:24.580 You know, they kind of gear it towards the 4- to 11-year-olds.

00:15:27.640 It is the complete opposite of what our public schools want to do when they want to show 5- and 6-year-olds 0.99

00:15:31.860 how two boys can give blowjobs to each other. 0.98

00:15:34.620 I mean, it's really weird that we're in this place with that. 0.99

00:15:37.380 They do the opposite.

00:15:38.580 They have just good stories, good morally-based stories.

00:15:42.960 You don't have to be a believer in God to read these books and realize these are good messages coming out there.

00:15:48.660 I've done two books with them, hoping to work on a third book with them pretty soon as well.

00:15:52.880 But, you know, they just do very good books with solid messages.

00:15:56.140 One of my books is called The Bare Essentials of Fatherhood.

00:15:58.580 It just shows really the importance of having a father in the family as well as a mother.

00:16:02.460 And, you know, you get attacked for that.

00:16:04.420 I've been to a couple events where I read at public libraries.

00:16:07.880 And Charlie, I mean, Charlie Kirk, Kirk's on my mind.

00:16:10.940 Kirk Cameron, he's kind of the cheerleader for these guys more than anybody else.

00:16:15.260 He does the bulk of it.

00:16:16.520 But I'm honored to be part of their team.

00:16:18.260 I'm honored to do, you know, sort of through social media, spread out the word of what they're doing.

00:16:24.020 And I'm going to keep doing it because they do a positive thing without all the negativity that is rolling around out there.

00:16:29.860 And they've got wonderful books to choose from, wonderful books.

00:16:32.620 It's just great animation, great storytelling.

00:16:35.020 It's quite simple that your kids should be reading these kind of books, not the ones that public schools want to force down our throats.

00:16:40.500 And what I love, too, with the Brave Plus service, you can check that out at bravebooks.com or bravebooks.us.

00:16:46.500 They've got not only the Brave Books and they've got Kirk Cameron's new kids show, Iggy and Mr. Kirk.

00:16:52.100 But then what they've done is and they've got new programming like Chef Gruel, American Gravy.

00:16:56.480 But you can go and find old classic shows.

00:16:59.160 Bob the Builder, Ventures of Paddington, movies like Where the Red Fern Grows, Red Wall, Great Series, Inspector Gadget, Franklin, Babar.

00:17:08.940 Just classic good shows that they've been able to get access to that you can put this on.

00:17:15.180 And, you know, look, we get it.

00:17:16.800 You know, you've got kids.

00:17:18.160 You've got, you know, mom's got stuff to do.

00:17:19.980 Dad's got stuff to do.

00:17:20.960 You want to reward them with a little screen time.

00:17:22.940 Why not show them Adventures of Madeline?

00:17:25.020 I'm looking at it right now.

00:17:25.860 Why not show them some of these great animated classics that go right in line with bravebooks and don't have any of the woke nonsense?

00:17:34.500 You know what, black kids, ever since, you know, they're old enough to really start watching any kind of TV with us. 0.96

00:17:38.940 The TV shows we watched were like Mayberry, you know, Dream of Jeannie, Father Knows Best.

00:17:45.560 And we showed Dick Van Dyke.

00:17:47.060 I mean, that show is still hilarious to this day.

00:17:49.680 But it's not the stuff that's the time.

00:17:50.980 Kevin, I've got to tell you.

00:17:52.140 My seven-year-old right now is in love with Dick Van Dyke.

00:17:55.780 He thinks he's the greatest actor.

00:17:57.700 You know, present company excluded.

00:17:59.300 But outside of you, he thinks Dick Van Dyke is the greatest.

00:18:02.080 And he really can't wait for, I guess, in December, Dick Van Dyke.

00:18:06.660 And I believe he'll make it.

00:18:08.040 He'll guess he's going to turn 100 years old.

00:18:09.920 My son loves him.

00:18:11.540 Yep.

00:18:11.900 He's great.

00:18:12.740 That show is very funny with the young Mary Tyler Moore before her career.

00:18:16.640 I mean, that kind of launched her career before the Mary Tyler Moore show. 0.96

00:18:19.400 So these are the shows I'm watching with my kids.

00:18:21.440 Gilligan's Island, shows that were just fun.

00:18:23.860 Shows that just, you know, there was no really message in there that was negative.

00:18:27.640 It was just fun show with funny, goofy humor.

00:18:30.640 Andy Griffith, you know, my three sons.

00:18:32.520 There's a lot of good messages in these shows in a positive way.

00:18:36.020 And for the left, for whatever reason, wants to attack that.

00:18:39.220 I mean, we've gotten more angry, more mean, more sexualized, a lot more violent within the movies that are coming out there.

00:18:45.940 That's what they want.

00:18:46.720 That's what they're pushing.

00:18:48.080 Kevin Sorbo, please go drop him a follow.

00:18:51.020 He's a great patriot.

00:18:52.240 He's a great actor.

00:18:53.180 He's a great filmmaker.

00:18:54.420 He's putting it all out.

00:18:55.840 Kevin, thank you so much for being with us today.

00:18:57.540 I got a very quick plug.

00:18:59.700 Go to sorbostudios.com.

00:19:01.100 I got four movies coming out and three new documentaries coming out.

00:19:04.280 A wonderful documentary.

00:19:05.300 It's opening Thanksgiving.

00:19:06.980 It deals with the Last Supper.

00:19:08.120 It's called Eating with the Enemy.

00:19:09.220 I hope you check it out.

00:19:11.220 Check it out, man.

00:19:12.260 This guy does not stop working.

00:19:14.100 Hardest man, hardest working man in showbiz.

00:19:16.040 Kevin Sorbo, Sorbo Studios.

00:19:18.080 We'll be right back.

00:19:18.640 Jack Posobiec, Human Events.

00:19:23.660 Today, you know, they talk about influencers.

00:19:25.980 These are influencers.

00:19:28.100 And they're friends of mine.

00:19:30.400 Jack Posobiec.

00:19:31.920 Where's Jack?

00:19:33.880 He's done a great job.

00:19:39.760 All right, Jack Posobiec.

00:19:40.960 We're back live here at Human Events Daily.

00:19:43.140 We're in Phoenix, Arizona.

00:19:44.200 The Charlie Kirk Studio.

00:19:46.200 Very excited now.

00:19:47.020 An honor to have on Senator Mark Wayne Mullen,

00:19:50.640 who is there in D.C.

00:19:52.360 We're told D.C. is in a shutdown.

00:19:54.340 But as it turns out, the Senate is hard at work.

00:19:57.840 Senator, thank you for joining us and taking some time off.

00:20:00.560 I understand there's votes going on.

00:20:02.360 Where are we at with the Schumer shutdown?

00:20:05.140 Well, right now, the Democrats are still living in historia land because they are absolutely

00:20:11.240 scared of their own base.

00:20:13.600 The worst person is actually Chuckie Schumer.

00:20:16.780 There's enough Democrats that would vote away from him if they would allow or he would allow

00:20:22.280 them to.

00:20:23.020 The issue that you're running into, though, is the base doesn't want them to move.

00:20:27.800 Their left base wants the government shut down.

00:20:30.560 And the irony is, is they're fighting against President Trump.

00:20:34.120 But the truth is, when they're in a shutdown, it literally gives all the authority to the

00:20:39.660 president to make decisions.

00:20:41.100 I mean, he's making decisions on who's essential, who's not essential, what government agencies

00:20:45.420 are open, which government agencies are closed.

00:20:47.700 And by the way, those are deemed non-essential.

00:20:49.520 He's decided he's going to let them go because they're not essential.

00:20:51.660 Why is the federal taxpayer dollars going to them?

00:20:57.100 And so you just can't make sense out of it.

00:21:00.100 But we're currently right now in the middle of a vote series, and we're giving the Democrats

00:21:04.220 an opportunity to open the government back up.

00:21:06.400 This is a clean CR, Jack, that they voted for 13 times underneath Biden.

00:21:13.120 They voted for it already once underneath President Trump.

00:21:20.700 And this is the same CR they voted for a year ago.

00:21:23.580 The difference is, is that now they're fighting to reinstall the waste, fraud, and abuse that

00:21:29.860 the one big, beautiful bill cut out.

00:21:32.460 It makes no sense.

00:21:34.260 You can't make sense out of it.

00:21:35.500 And by the way, the fraud that they're trying to put back in place was a fraud that was cut

00:21:40.700 underneath the mandatory spending.

00:21:43.280 So that was the Medicaid, Medicare provisions.

00:21:46.360 And what we're fighting underneath right now is discretionary spending.

00:21:49.880 So it's not even in the same tranche of dollars, but that doesn't make any sense to, to their

00:21:55.680 base.

00:21:56.160 Their base just thinks that it's Trump's idea.

00:21:58.200 So let's shut it down.

00:22:00.820 Well, and so what you're saying though, is the, the Senator, or excuse me, the president

00:22:04.220 at the end of the day though, because he has this discretionary authority, they may have

00:22:08.640 bit off a little bit more.

00:22:09.680 They can chew here than they can chew here is, haven't they?

00:22:12.540 A hundred percent.

00:22:13.540 Because like I said, they literally have given all the authority to president Trump and now

00:22:17.260 they're screaming about it and they're like, this isn't fair.

00:22:20.440 He can't operate this way.

00:22:21.560 And you're like, well, then open the government back up.

00:22:23.680 I mean, you can open it up right now.

00:22:25.720 We're voting on the bill right this second, open it up right now.

00:22:29.400 And we can reinstore Congress's authority to have oversight of it.

00:22:33.320 But while we're shut down, the president has full discretion on what he deems essential

00:22:38.540 and non-essential and what government operations stay open and which government operations move

00:22:44.160 for or close down.

00:22:45.540 Also what federal programs are continuing to be funded and what federal programs are not.

00:22:50.920 The president of the United States during a shutdown has complete discretion on demonite

00:22:55.720 or on labeling those projects and those employees and those agencies at his discretion.

00:23:02.780 And so Senator, you're obviously working with the Republican conference.

00:23:07.040 You're working with the White House.

00:23:09.800 Are there, is there any traction that you can see?

00:23:12.340 What is the path forward?

00:23:13.680 I mean, there are people, of course, they have questions.

00:23:15.960 I do think though, the vast majority of America, they're looking at this and they're just kind

00:23:19.540 of scratching their heads about what's going on.

00:23:21.680 But I do think at some point people are wondering where's this going to go?

00:23:25.740 Well, first of all, the Democrats are out there telling a lie.

00:23:29.100 And as we know, a lie is sexier than the truth.

00:23:32.380 And so they're saying that Medicaid payments aren't going to get paid.

00:23:35.280 Medicare payments aren't going to get paid.

00:23:36.660 Social Security payments aren't going to go out.

00:23:38.160 That's a lie.

00:23:38.820 As I said, that's underneath mandatory spending.

00:23:41.820 This fight is, we're on the shutdown for discretionary spending.

00:23:44.460 So none of that will be disrupted.

00:23:46.560 They're saying Medicare or medical care won't be available.

00:23:52.440 That's absolutely not true.

00:23:53.540 There isn't one ER.

00:23:54.720 There isn't one hospital that's closing down over it.

00:23:57.980 All the federal paychecks went out yesterday in full.

00:24:00.840 All the military pay went out in full.

00:24:04.440 But now the next paychecks go out the 15th and 16th.

00:24:07.220 Where I think we end up is come next week, next Friday and Saturday, the Democrats have

00:24:12.880 this big swanky fundraiser for the DNC.

00:24:16.780 I wouldn't be surprised at all if they fight all the way through next Thursday and on Friday

00:24:22.740 they open the government back up so they can go on their trips and they can get to that

00:24:26.600 swanky party.

00:24:27.260 And so this fight isn't for real.

00:24:29.840 This is just smoking guns that they are trying to deceive their base that they're showing

00:24:34.940 that they're going to fight.

00:24:35.840 This is Chucky Schumer running from AOC, even though he's not up until 2028, but he's still

00:24:40.840 scared of his shadow.

00:24:42.000 That's what you have when you have a career politician.

00:24:43.840 I point it out all the time.

00:24:45.320 In 1996, Chuck Schumer was on the House floor, which was the year that I was graduating high

00:24:51.120 school 30 years ago.

00:24:52.240 He was on the floor saying that you incentivize illegals to come here when you give them benefits.

00:25:00.300 And that is exactly what he's fighting for right now, is to reinstate the benefits that

00:25:05.140 OBBB cut out.

00:25:07.460 One big, beautiful bill cut out to illegal aliens. 1.00

00:25:09.640 President Trump said, why are taxpayers funding illegals, health care, and they're wanting

00:25:16.360 to reinstate it.

00:25:17.620 And there's it's so I think the fight goes out of them next Thursday, Friday morning.

00:25:24.280 So you think they're basically they're going to hold it up, but they're realizing.

00:25:27.220 And it seems to me that they're on the losing end of this thing, because at the end of the

00:25:30.780 day, you've got people like Maxine Waters out there who are coming out, opening her mouth

00:25:34.560 and blabbing to the whole world.

00:25:35.640 They say, oh, we want to do one health care for everybody when they ask her if we're going 0.98

00:25:38.500 to do health care for illegal.

00:25:39.600 Say, well, there it is.

00:25:41.500 Well, Conor was on Congressman Conor was on Fox or Fox Business, one of the two.

00:25:46.780 And he said that it's only a small amount of money going to illegal aliens.

00:25:51.780 So he literally said that.

00:25:55.300 We'll send you the clip.

00:25:56.340 We'll get the clip and send it to you.

00:25:57.700 It is.

00:25:58.320 It is absurd at this point.

00:26:00.880 Yeah, we'll get to you right away.

00:26:01.920 We're sending it to you as we speak.

00:26:03.780 But it is so they're not even believing what they're saying.

00:26:06.560 They can't even hold their message together.

00:26:08.260 It's just it's just for the fact that they hate President Trump.

00:26:12.200 They hate that the American people elected him in November and anything they can do to

00:26:17.400 slow down this president's agenda, they're doing, except they bit off where they can chew,

00:26:22.160 because when you shut it down, you actually are giving him the authority to continue doing

00:26:27.260 exactly what he needs to do by shrink the size of government.

00:26:29.880 He said he was going to shrink the size of government.

00:26:31.920 Guess what?

00:26:32.260 Because of shutdown, he gets to do that unilaterally across the board.

00:26:36.520 He takes no pleasure in firing people.

00:26:40.020 But the government has got, in most cases, most agencies, underneath President Biden during

00:26:46.780 the COVID, no one's showing up to work during his four years.

00:26:50.360 We remember.

00:26:51.140 We remember.

00:26:52.000 They weren't essential.

00:26:53.540 Senator, we're just about out of time.

00:26:56.300 I understand you have a heart out.

00:26:57.340 You got to get back to votes.

00:26:58.160 Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day up there and fighting the good fight.

00:27:02.520 And the only thing I have to say I'm sorry for is I'm sorry that you have to go and go

00:27:06.120 back and deal with all those guys on a beautiful Friday in the fall.

00:27:10.320 Well, I would rather be in the fight than not.

00:27:12.740 So I appreciate you being in the fight with us.

00:27:14.700 Amen to that.

00:27:15.440 And that's why we're still here.

00:27:17.040 That's right.

00:27:17.500 Human Events Daily, right back.

00:27:18.560 Where is Jack?

00:27:24.380 Where's Jack?

00:27:26.460 Where is he?

00:27:27.740 Jack, I want to see you.

00:27:31.400 Great job, Jack.

00:27:32.760 Thank you.

00:27:33.500 What a job you do.

00:27:34.940 You know, we have an incredible thing.

00:27:36.320 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad.

00:27:38.380 But we have guys, and these are the guys who should be getting politicians.

00:27:42.480 We've got a Trump supporter.

00:27:43.840 We've got a Trump supporter right here.

00:27:45.320 Oh.

00:27:45.760 And they don't like it.

00:27:46.680 Oh, he's putting it on the ground and he's making it worse.

00:27:49.800 We're ready to turn that phone off and let me scan your body.

00:28:02.640 I'll have a conversation. 1.00

00:28:03.200 I'm just f***ing you for other d***s. 0.99

00:28:06.880 We're going to have a conversation about a bigger picture here. 1.00

00:28:10.920 What a f***ing loser. 1.00

00:28:14.300 All right, Jack Wasobiec. 1.00

00:28:15.700 We're back live here at the Charlie Kirk Studio in Phoenix, Arizona.

00:28:19.380 You just saw the video there.

00:28:21.580 Journalist Nick Sortor arrested last night, spent the night in jail.

00:28:26.860 He joins us now on Human Events Daily.

00:28:28.920 Nick, first of all, are you okay?

00:28:32.680 Yeah, I'm okay.

00:28:33.500 I'm shaken up and tired because, you know, jail isn't not exactly a five-star resort,

00:28:39.940 especially out here in Portland.

00:28:42.040 But, you know, it's an experience that I'm hoping that we can make some good out of.

00:28:50.720 And from what I've seen this morning, I'm pretty hopeful about that.

00:28:54.920 Well, so you and I spoke on the phone earlier.

00:28:58.120 I've seen what stuff you've been putting out on Twitter.

00:29:00.780 Walk us through, in your own words, what happened last night.

00:29:03.860 Yeah, I mean, it's actually, it's pretty simple.

00:29:08.800 Jack, you know very well that these Antifa thugs hate when you video them in any circumstance, right? 1.00

00:29:18.120 But in this circumstance, it's even worse because what's going on is these idiots, it's routine. 1.00

00:29:26.880 It happens every single time, close to the top of the hour, when DHS agents come out of the facility 0.99

00:29:33.040 for either a shift change or they're letting a vehicle out.

00:29:38.380 So they have to clear the degenerates out from in front of the facility.

00:29:44.980 And they like to push back and assault these agents.

00:29:50.480 They think that there aren't going to be any sort of repercussions.

00:29:52.700 But, of course, a lot of times there are.

00:29:54.620 That's how you get these awesome F around and find out videos of them being maced, right? 0.71

00:30:00.100 So naturally, I'm going to flock to that.

00:30:02.080 I'm a journalist.

00:30:02.600 I'm going to show what is happening.

00:30:06.120 And the result that happens, these guys that act like they're super tough

00:30:11.120 are now on the ground crying like little babies because they decided to push an ICE agent

00:30:16.840 and they got maced in the face.

00:30:19.300 So they don't want the world to see that they're not actually these tough military-type figures.

00:30:25.780 They're actually just, you know, I don't know if I can say that word on air.

00:30:29.840 Well, so Nick, so Nick, so Nick, so you're out there, you're filming, there's the mace.

00:30:35.380 We saw the stuff with the American flag.

00:30:37.820 What was going on immediately prior to, I mean, you getting handcuffed?

00:30:44.860 Yeah, it was because they were upset that I was filming them after they were being maced.

00:30:49.120 I was filming them on the ground crying.

00:30:51.340 You know, they're on the public sidewalk.

00:30:52.640 I'm on a public sidewalk.

00:30:53.660 I can film whatever I want to in public.

00:30:55.720 And there's nothing they can do about that.

00:30:57.180 They don't understand that.

00:30:58.160 Of course.

00:30:58.940 I mean, we're not dealing with the world's best and brightest here, Jack.

00:31:02.260 And so they get mad in their way of handling that.

00:31:06.560 When you don't immediately give in to their demands, they come at you physically, aggressively.

00:31:14.080 But I'm not going to just surrender to them and stop filming because they threaten me and tell me not to.

00:31:21.420 That's not how I operate.

00:31:22.540 That's not how any self-respecting journalist should operate.

00:31:26.100 So they decided to come after me.

00:31:28.320 They decided to chase me down the sidewalk, as you can see in this video.

00:31:31.860 And there's 10 of them surrounding me.

00:31:34.400 They try to jump in front of me.

00:31:35.600 I'm actually heading to my car at this point.

00:31:37.580 So I was trying to get through on the sidewalk, and they shoved me into this flower pit.

00:31:46.180 And I got up and was able to, like, push my way out of the situation.

00:31:51.740 And I go to the Portland police.

00:31:57.100 And I stand next to this group of Portland police for, like, seven or eight minutes.

00:32:01.120 You know, because it felt like a pretty safe place to be at the time, right?

00:32:05.340 Little did I know I was going to end up being the one arrested rather than the people that just, you know, broke my camera, shoved me into a hole, and punched me.

00:32:15.940 They didn't end up getting arrested.

00:32:18.840 It was just me, as you can see in the video.

00:32:20.180 And, I mean, I was shocked by this.

00:32:21.560 I did not for a second, even when I was being handcuffed, I thought there were two possibilities here.

00:32:28.100 Either A, they're pretending like they're arresting me just to get me out of the situation, like, pretend like they're doing something.

00:32:34.160 Or B, it's totally a case of mistaken identity.

00:32:37.320 Never did it cross my mind in these first several minutes that they were actually arresting me for something.

00:32:43.740 It was unfathomable.

00:32:45.740 And they didn't know what they were arresting me for either because it took over an hour for them to figure out what the charge was.

00:32:53.300 So what exactly have you been charged with?

00:32:56.500 I mean, we can see in this video that you're clearly defending yourself, just like Kyle Rittenhouse, but here we go again.

00:33:01.940 Yeah, so they decided that they could charge me with disorderly conduct in the second degree.

00:33:10.900 And, you know, funny enough, we were pulled over on the side of the road in the cop car for an hour while they were trying to figure out what charge it would be.

00:33:18.920 They were taking phone calls from superiors and stepping out of the vehicle to do so, so that I couldn't hear what they were talking about.

00:33:26.580 Shady as hell. Shady as hell.

00:33:28.240 Shady as hell.

00:33:58.240 So this was, they were making it up as they went.

00:34:00.940 And funny enough, ironically, Antifa is routinely doing all three of those things.

00:34:06.540 That's exactly what they all do.

00:34:07.640 On an hourly basis.

00:34:08.500 So Nick, before we go to that then, we got a couple of minutes left in this segment.

00:34:13.460 And what was it like being in jail?

00:34:16.240 I mean, the moment you get the handcuffs on you, I mean, it obviously must be very confusing.

00:34:21.260 You comported yourself very well, by the way.

00:34:23.560 You kept your composure.

00:34:24.880 I know that wasn't easy, but you showed that discipline like someone who's been in the field as many times as you because you know, right, don't fight there.

00:34:33.320 Fight it out in court.

00:34:34.700 What was the rest of your night like as they put you in the back of the car and brought you to the prison cell?

00:34:38.400 You know, I, even once I got to the jail, I was still thinking, okay, well, maybe they're going to be making a bunch of arrests, you know, because people are, there are videos that are circulating from yesterday of people literally beating each other to a pulp in the middle of the road out there.

00:34:57.820 So I was like, okay, well, you know, maybe, maybe, maybe this place is going to fill up because it was mostly empty, of course, because they don't typically arrest people in Portland.

00:35:04.580 So I was like one of very few people that were even in the jail.

00:35:07.040 It was very quiet.

00:35:08.440 Nobody else showed up.

00:35:09.860 I mean, two other people showed up the whole night and I didn't recognize either of them.

00:35:15.920 So it's like, okay, who are they?

00:35:21.020 What have they been arrested for?

00:35:22.600 I didn't know because they were two women. 1.00

00:35:24.360 So they were put in a different section than I was, but so the two guys that were bloodying each other up in the middle of the street, you know, trying to fight each other, fighting other people, uh, all the, the Antifa members that were stabbing people with umbrellas because they have those pointy ends on them.

00:35:39.420 They use them as weapons, right?

00:35:41.120 None of them ended up in the jail.

00:35:43.000 Nothing.

00:35:43.360 So it's like, and then if you read back on the Portland police department's, uh, Twitter or X, they actually say that after the targeted arrest of me, they cleared the scene and left.

00:35:56.500 So it's like, was the entire thing, was the entire point of them going to arrest me?

00:36:02.580 Well, why did they just leave after that?

00:36:04.360 It's not like the situation calmed down after I was gone.

00:36:07.640 There's so many questions.

00:36:09.240 Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

00:36:10.100 I want to be clear on this.

00:36:11.380 I want to drill down on this.

00:36:12.040 You're saying that it wasn't even necessarily your behavior and this, this scuffle with the flower bed and them pushing you down as you were leaving the situation.

00:36:21.980 You're saying that you're, you heard that it was a targeted arrest, meaning they may have been sent out to target you because of who you are and what you were doing.

00:36:32.300 They actually said they, that's their term.

00:36:34.680 That's not my term.

00:36:35.600 They said that publicly that they made a targeted arrest.

00:36:38.360 So that was referring to me.

00:36:39.720 So I'm, I'm not throwing that term out.

00:36:42.220 I'm not making it up.

00:36:43.040 That's what they said.

00:36:44.180 Yeah.

00:36:45.220 And they have not defined that term yet.

00:36:48.220 Of a working journalist on the street.

00:36:50.820 And I've watched the video.

00:36:52.100 By the way, and I've seen you in a million videos and covering a million different events.

00:36:57.240 I've never once seen you use violence or provoke people or any of this litany of things that people are blocking roads or anything like that.

00:37:05.580 I mean, like that's, that's, that's just not what Nick's order does.

00:37:08.480 I mean, you provide star links to people who have blocked roads, by the way, and you go out and help people as much as possible.

00:37:15.440 And you've done the yeoman's work in time after time in so many of these disaster areas.

00:37:21.240 And by the way, I'm sure that if there are a way that, that you had to help the people that are living and working in these conditions, that you would have done that as well.

00:37:31.620 Nick, we're coming up on a break.

00:37:32.860 Can I hold you over for just a little bit?

00:37:34.480 Can I, are you able to do that?

00:37:35.500 Do you got to run?

00:37:36.480 Yeah, that's fine.

00:37:37.660 No, I'm good.

00:37:38.220 Go ahead.

00:37:38.380 All right.

00:37:38.580 We're going to hold, we're going to hold Nick's order over.

00:37:40.740 Thank you very much, Nick, for being here with us.

00:37:43.140 I'm glad you're okay because we need to talk when we get back.

00:37:45.780 I want to talk about how we're going to fight back.

00:37:47.820 The White House has already weighed in on this.

00:37:49.880 The Department of Homeland Security has weighed in on this.

00:37:52.240 The Department of Justice has weighed in on this.

00:37:55.760 And it shouldn't have to happen that a working journalist gets arrested in a targeted arrest.

00:38:03.720 This is what communists do, folks.

00:38:05.260 This is what they do every single time.

00:38:09.700 You don't believe me?

00:38:10.920 Ask Charlie Kirk.

00:38:12.580 We'll be right back.

00:38:20.460 Jack is a great guy.

00:38:22.020 He's written a fantastic book.

00:38:23.700 Everybody's talking about it.

00:38:24.940 Go get it.

00:38:26.100 And he's been my friend right from the beginning of this whole beautiful event.

00:38:30.020 And we're going to turn it around and make our country great again.

00:38:33.220 Amen.

00:38:35.260 Jack Zoker back here.

00:38:39.640 Live human events daily.

00:38:41.420 Charlie Kirk Studio, Phoenix, Arizona.

00:38:45.080 We're on with Nick Sorter, who was arrested last night.

00:38:49.620 Obvious, unlawful arrest.

00:38:52.260 Nick, you have, and I can't even imagine if you would have been realizing it when those handcuffs were put on you,

00:38:59.360 that you've had the White House respond to this, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice.

00:39:07.180 You yourself have had strong words for the Portland police.

00:39:10.960 Where does this go next?

00:39:11.860 You know, Jack, I was very flattered by the outpouring of support.

00:39:20.380 I didn't actually know at the time.

00:39:21.840 Keep in mind, I'm in a box.

00:39:22.980 So I had no clue what was going on on the outside.

00:39:25.980 I didn't know who knew that I was arrested.

00:39:28.820 I didn't know if anybody knew that I was arrested.

00:39:31.160 I didn't see who saw me get arrested.

00:39:34.380 So I was sort of in there thinking like, okay, well, what do I do when I get back out? 0.77

00:39:41.560 You know, because I knew that this needed to be brought to attention because it's obviously ridiculous.

00:39:45.920 And it proves what we've been saying for the longest time about these radical left police departments,

00:39:51.460 especially in Portland and Seattle would probably be another example as well.

00:39:55.360 And then I come out and I look at my phone and it just, it was like fried.

00:40:01.500 I mean, just the amount, when I turned it back on, all the messages, all the tags and posts and from like high level figures,

00:40:10.160 like high in the U.S. government, which was fantastic.

00:40:14.280 Like they were all invested in the story.

00:40:16.100 They all wanted to help.

00:40:18.160 I mean, Christy Noem, Tricia McLaughlin, Pam Bondi.

00:40:24.260 I spoke personally with Attorney General Pam Bondi this morning, as well as Harmeet Dillon,

00:40:29.220 who's already hit the ground running on this DOJ investigation into Portland.

00:40:34.560 This is going to be, this could potentially be a turning point in this city.

00:40:40.920 One that has been ravaged with violence and lawlessness and, you know, Antifa terrorism for years now.

00:40:50.880 And, you know, we also saw, I believe, I think Benny broke the story at the time where Christy Noem was sending DHS agents to the jail to try to get me out.

00:41:07.820 I had been released at like right around the same time.

00:41:10.220 But, I mean, they were pulling all the levers they possibly could to resolve this situation.

00:41:16.960 And they, this was like the final straw, it seems.

00:41:19.700 Like all these agencies coming together, it just, it enraged so many people that, you know, I want to keep this.

00:41:25.880 I don't necessarily need the story to be about me.

00:41:28.840 I want the story to continue, though, in the way that, you know, we keep up this momentum to take back these blue cities.

00:41:35.720 Because, you know, I think about the victims of the police department and the lack of justice that regular folks out here, you know, people that live in Portland.

00:41:48.680 There is a, an apartment complex that is directly next door to this ICE facility.

00:41:56.360 And many of the people live there, I've been told, even by the rioters, that there are veterans that live there.

00:42:03.840 A bunch of veterans that live in this place. 0.77

00:42:05.400 And they're sitting there screaming at 3 o'clock in the morning with megaphones, you know, incoherent garbage at ICE agents every single night.

00:42:14.420 They don't, there are no nights taken off from rioting outside of the ICE facility here in Portland.

00:42:19.980 So, why don't those people ever get justice?

00:42:22.500 Why are, you know, in my opinion, Jack, correct me if I'm wrong here, but disorderly conduct is actually people that are screaming with megaphones out on the street at 3 o'clock in the morning, setting fires, and, you know, just causing general mayhem in the streets.

00:42:38.820 It's not me for putting a camera in people's face that, you know, don't want to be filmed in public.

00:42:46.200 You know, if that's the takeaway, if that's one thing that people take away, it's that.

00:42:52.520 It's like the double standard here is massively clear.

00:42:55.640 No, it's the double standard, but also, Nick, it's so, I would say, it highlights, it highlights what President Trump is talking about, what the entire administration is talking about, is that this is the triple standard of justice, the three-tiered system of justice that we've seen.

00:43:16.880 One standard for a conservative, one standard for the average person, and one standard for the left and their little shock troops and cretins out on the street. 1.00

00:43:28.480 And that's what the federal deployment to Portland is all about.

00:43:32.900 Because when you have the mayor up there and the governor and they walk around and say, oh, it's perfectly safe, that's because they're on the same side as Antifa. 0.75

00:43:40.080 And as it turns out, it looks like they've given orders to the police department that Antifa are allowed to be able to commit these crimes.

00:43:48.440 But if anyone is in the way of Antifa, then they will be the criminals.

00:43:53.760 This is a historic textbook move of communists.

00:43:57.600 It's called anarcho-tyranny, whereby in the shock troops are allowed complete impunity to maim, assault, attack, block roads, block residents.

00:44:08.440 The people who work there, by the way, just trying to get to work or have a night of sleep before they have to work a shift in the morning or, God forbid, they're working at night and just trying to get out.

00:44:17.960 Antifa can do whatever they want to them.

00:44:19.660 But if you try to defend yourself, which is what you did, we can see the video, the whole world can see it, you're a criminal, you are treated like a domestic terrorist.

00:44:28.280 It is complete inversion of our legal order and our moral order, and it's done purposefully to keep everyone out of those in power.

00:44:38.440 Yeah, absolutely, Jack.

00:44:42.260 And the people here, they're afraid to speak out about this.

00:44:47.440 They're afraid of the consequences, because if they go out from their apartment building, the one that I was just referring to,

00:44:53.100 and they try to speak out against the screaming in the streets and the general anarchy that's happening, they're going to end up being beat to a pulp.

00:45:03.880 And they don't have a large voice or platform to use to get that message out.

00:45:09.140 The legacy media here sure as hell isn't going to help with it.

00:45:12.460 They don't care because they're scared, too.

00:45:14.540 All these people are afraid of these violent leftists at this point because they know that the police department isn't going to do anything about it.

00:45:20.460 And I actually spoke with these officers that they call liaison officers from the Portland Police Department down there.

00:45:28.480 They stationed two of them, just two, every night, just on the corner.

00:45:33.920 They don't do anything.

00:45:35.120 They've never arrested a single person down there.

00:45:37.600 And if you watch Katie Davis Court's video, you'll see that liaison officer, which is a sworn officer, they have just as many policing powers as any other cop, following the assailant and then just, you know, letting her go.

00:45:53.560 I asked them on, you know, covert camera what they like, why they don't enforce laws when they watch crimes happen.

00:46:05.140 They don't do anything about it.

00:46:06.340 And they said, well, you know, we don't want to pick sides in this case.

00:46:09.680 We don't want to pick any sides.

00:46:11.540 We don't want to make one side feel like we're coming after them but not the other.

00:46:16.900 And so that's why you see people like Katie get hit.

00:46:19.880 I mean, she literally got a concussion from this.

00:46:23.420 You know, they're saying, oh, well, they'll intervene when there's a substantial chance of death.

00:46:30.480 Okay, so, you know, if you're bleeding out in the middle of the street, maybe they'll jump in and do something.

00:46:34.540 But until then, there are no laws.

00:46:38.420 It's wild to me because they don't, on a normal basis, they don't call Portland police to come into the area.

00:46:45.000 They make, even if you're calling an ambulance for some reason, they make you go get the ambulance two blocks away.

00:46:51.480 They won't bring them into the area.

00:46:52.540 So the fact that there were Portland cops there yesterday, actual, like, regular street cops, it's, there was some reason, there was some order they were given to go into the area yesterday.

00:47:04.740 Was that order related to me or other conservative journalists that were covering the story?

00:47:09.940 That's what we're going to try to find out here.

00:47:11.940 Because it was very weird to all of us on the ground to see them there just lurking and not doing anything about the fires that were being set and the vandalism that was actively happening in front of them.

00:47:24.780 The only time they responded is when they wanted to arrest me.

00:47:28.240 So.

00:47:28.340 Nick, we're just about out of time.

00:47:31.880 Thank you.

00:47:32.680 I'm glad you're safe.

00:47:33.860 Thank you for what you're doing.

00:47:34.660 Final question.

00:47:36.300 Do you plan to go back?

00:47:39.300 Dude, I'm not leaving.

00:47:40.280 I extended the hotel for another week.

00:47:41.960 They're not going to get rid of me.

00:47:43.380 It's going to get worse for them.

00:47:46.200 Let's go.

00:47:47.480 Nick Sortar.

00:47:48.560 I didn't even, I had to ask the question, but there was no question in my mind.

00:47:52.740 There was no doubt in my mind.

00:47:54.260 Go follow Nick.

00:47:55.420 If there's, if you want to support Nick, make sure you go supporting him.

00:47:59.140 X, is that the spot, Nick?

00:48:01.740 That's the spot.

00:48:02.540 Everybody else will just ban me.

00:48:04.600 All right.

00:48:05.260 Nick Sortar.

00:48:06.540 Make sure you're following him.

00:48:07.640 Support his work.

00:48:08.860 Guy's a patriot and he's a working journalist.

00:48:11.600 One of the hardest working journalists in the country.

00:48:14.000 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay ashore.
