00:00:40.600 A commentator, international social media sensation, and former Navy intelligence veteran.

00:00:46.960 This is Human Events with your host, Jack Posobiec.

00:00:50.240 Christ is king.

00:00:52.860 All right, Jack Posobiec.

00:00:54.800 Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard.

00:00:57.040 Today's very special edition of Human Events Daily.

00:01:02.160 Today is May 8th, 2025.

00:01:05.580 Anno Domini.

00:01:07.060 The 80th anniversary.

00:01:09.200 The end of World War II in Europe.

00:01:11.280 VE Day.

00:01:12.800 80 years ago.

00:01:13.600 And 80 years ago, my grandfather,

00:01:16.640 John Posobiec I,

00:01:18.640 was right where I am.

00:01:19.660 Right here in Rome, Italy.

00:01:22.820 Where moments ago,

00:01:25.220 just down, you could see the,

00:01:27.260 this side, this side.

00:01:28.940 You can see,

00:01:29.820 I want to bring in everyone who's watching on The Real America's Voice,

00:01:33.700 as well as everyone who's listening on the Salem Radio Network,

00:01:37.560 Hour 3, Charlie Kirk.

00:01:39.040 Just over my right shoulder,

00:01:40.380 you can see St. Peter's Basilica.

00:01:43.540 Absolute shock.

00:01:46.620 The first American pope has been chosen.

00:01:50.320 Already people are digging into his social media,

00:01:55.100 where he was actually an active Twitter user.

00:01:59.200 Robert Prevost,

00:02:01.460 a cardinal,

00:02:03.000 born in Chicago,

00:02:04.560 believe it or not,

00:02:05.420 born in 1955.

00:02:07.600 He's 69 years old.

00:02:11.460 Which means,

00:02:12.680 he's more than likely going to be Pope for some time.

00:02:15.540 At least 10 plus years of this papacy.

00:02:18.480 Maybe 15,

00:02:19.900 maybe even 20.

00:02:22.840 This is someone who,

00:02:24.300 went to school actually not far from me,

00:02:26.560 in Philadelphia at,

00:02:28.680 he went to Villanova,

00:02:29.860 I went to Temple University,

00:02:31.900 but folks,

00:02:32.600 I'm going to tell you right now,

00:02:34.200 what I'm seeing from his social media,

00:02:35.680 and he's taking the name Pope Leo,

00:02:39.180 I believe it's Leo XIV.

00:02:41.080 What I'm seeing from his social media,

00:02:42.420 it does not bode well for Trump supporters.

00:02:44.820 Because,

00:02:45.440 we're seeing things here,

00:02:46.600 where he's attacking J.D. Vance,

00:02:49.240 and not years ago,

00:02:51.060 very recently,

00:02:52.780 promoting anti-Trump,

00:02:55.360 and anti-Bukele articles,

00:02:57.480 regarding the deportations,

00:02:59.680 of criminal illegals,

00:03:01.260 to the United States.

00:03:02.420 He was attacking that,

00:03:04.640 less than three weeks ago.

00:03:06.460 We even see him posting,

00:03:07.940 anti-Trump articles,

00:03:09.700 from when Trump,

00:03:10.800 first ran for office.

00:03:12.780 I'm not going to mince words folks,

00:03:13.920 I'm not going to mince words.

00:03:15.100 This is not,

00:03:16.160 the election,

00:03:17.280 that conservatives,

00:03:18.320 wanted.

00:03:19.280 God save,

00:03:20.560 the church.

00:03:22.060 Now,

00:03:22.740 of course,

00:03:23.560 we take a moment of grace.

00:03:26.660 We want,

00:03:27.480 to have the best papacy possible.

00:03:30.520 I've talked recently,

00:03:31.500 about how in the American church,

00:03:32.880 and I've been saying this all week,

00:03:34.200 there is a burgeoning,

00:03:35.920 split.

00:03:37.460 There's the division.

00:03:39.180 There are two wings,

00:03:40.260 of the American church right now,

00:03:41.900 right at the very first time,

00:03:43.780 an American pope,

00:03:44.640 has been chosen.

00:03:47.280 These two wings exist as us.

00:03:49.720 One is the modernist wing.

00:03:52.400 That is the wing,

00:03:53.720 that this pope comes from.

00:03:55.740 He's in the vein of Francis.

00:03:58.320 Dr. Taylor Marshall called,

00:03:59.840 called this,

00:04:01.660 the act of picking of Francis II.

00:04:03.640 Now,

00:04:03.860 a lot of people thought that Paralyn,

00:04:05.480 the current secretary of state,

00:04:07.160 of the Vatican,

00:04:08.240 would get that choice.

00:04:09.500 However,

00:04:09.980 he is older,

00:04:11.320 and perhaps,

00:04:12.720 was,

00:04:13.220 there were some rumors,

00:04:14.120 about some health issues.

00:04:15.380 So he may have rolled over.

00:04:17.900 Some people have also said,

00:04:19.640 that there could have been,

00:04:20.400 a conservative choice,

00:04:21.500 a Cardinal Serra.

00:04:22.500 I didn't think that was in the cards,

00:04:24.300 or likely,

00:04:25.360 potentially also,

00:04:26.200 Cardinal Pizzabala.

00:04:27.300 But of course,

00:04:27.960 he didn't have the institutional backing,

00:04:30.240 that the liberals,

00:04:31.260 and some of the moderates did.

00:04:32.580 So the question is,

00:04:33.540 are we going to get,

00:04:34.680 a moderate pope,

00:04:36.160 or are we going to get someone,

00:04:38.160 who continues,

00:04:39.580 to be progressive,

00:04:40.800 continues to attack the idea,

00:04:42.420 of a country,

00:04:43.740 having its own borders,

00:04:45.280 continues to wade into,

00:04:47.640 these political issues.

00:04:49.280 Now there's a number of issues as well,

00:04:50.920 that we certainly hope,

00:04:51.940 go on,

00:04:52.880 and we hope the new pope,

00:04:54.060 stays,

00:04:54.680 if he's going to stay in line,

00:04:55.760 with Pope Francis.

00:04:57.060 We certainly hope,

00:04:58.320 that he maintains,

00:04:59.220 an anti-war position.

00:05:01.180 We hope that he maintains,

00:05:02.660 this position,

00:05:04.080 that he affirms,

00:05:05.940 only men,

00:05:07.560 can be priests.

00:05:09.840 Nuns,

00:05:10.300 of course,

00:05:10.940 are always available.

00:05:11.980 The sisterhood is always open,

00:05:13.420 for women.

00:05:13.820 But priests,

00:05:15.040 are uniquely situated,

00:05:17.780 for a male role.

00:05:19.520 It is only for men. 1.00

00:05:21.920 Same-sex relationships,

00:05:23.360 this is something,

00:05:24.180 the Catholic Church,

00:05:25.160 has never accepted,

00:05:26.760 at all.

00:05:27.760 Will we see the same teaching,

00:05:29.200 on LGBTQ ideas,

00:05:31.740 and issues?

00:05:32.520 Will we see the same teaching,

00:05:34.160 on gender issues?

00:05:36.040 All of these,

00:05:37.300 need to hold firm.

00:05:39.260 But the main one,

00:05:40.800 that a lot of people,

00:05:41.540 are talking about,

00:05:42.380 I'm very concerned about,

00:05:43.420 myself included.

00:05:45.580 Borders,

00:05:46.220 and immigration.

00:05:47.920 Will this Pope,

00:05:49.560 continue to antagonize,

00:05:52.120 President Trump,

00:05:52.980 and J.D. Vance.

00:05:53.620 And you certainly,

00:05:54.200 by the way,

00:05:54.520 just take it a step back.

00:05:55.760 And I was just down there,

00:05:56.880 at St. Peter's.

00:05:57.700 I know we have a lot of the,

00:05:58.920 video of myself,

00:06:00.520 and running to be there,

00:06:02.460 for when the actual moment happened.

00:06:04.120 I just watched him,

00:06:05.120 come out on the balcony,

00:06:06.140 with my own eyes,

00:06:07.280 after we saw the,

00:06:08.400 the white smoke,

00:06:09.840 here from the balcony,

00:06:11.540 of our rental,

00:06:13.440 and we ran down,

00:06:14.480 to be able to get there.

00:06:15.240 My brother is currently,

00:06:16.220 on the roof,

00:06:17.200 of the Vatican,

00:06:18.340 and we got there,

00:06:18.980 as soon as possible,

00:06:20.260 to see Pope Leo,

00:06:22.340 for the very first time.

00:06:23.720 Very first time,

00:06:24.380 I've seen a Pope,

00:06:25.120 walk out like that,

00:06:26.220 in my life.

00:06:27.680 Now that being said,

00:06:28.980 the choice of an American Pope,

00:06:30.960 it is clearly,

00:06:33.780 a reaction,

00:06:34.960 to President Trump.

00:06:36.700 And I honestly,

00:06:37.720 can't see this red,

00:06:39.160 in almost any other light.

00:06:40.540 This is clearly,

00:06:41.780 a reaction.

00:06:42.600 Now call this a reaction,

00:06:44.340 because,

00:06:45.000 here's the question.

00:06:46.820 Is this someone,

00:06:48.000 who wants to work,

00:06:49.340 with the American President?

00:06:51.280 Being that he is,

00:06:52.500 from the United States?

00:06:53.820 Being that he is,

00:06:55.000 someone who speaks English?

00:06:57.280 Being that he is,

00:06:59.500 someone who grew up,

00:07:01.500 in the United States?

00:07:02.920 Or,

00:07:03.360 is this someone,

00:07:05.540 who antagonizes?

00:07:07.320 Is this someone,

00:07:08.680 who will be,

00:07:10.260 antagonizing President Trump?

00:07:14.280 We're going to have,

00:07:15.100 Dr. Taylor Marshall,

00:07:15.920 joining us here,

00:07:16.900 in about 20 minutes.

00:07:18.880 But folks,

00:07:19.380 there's a lot of questions.

00:07:21.040 A lot,

00:07:21.740 a lot,

00:07:22.320 a lot,

00:07:22.920 of questions.

00:07:24.560 Folks,

00:07:25.380 we need to pray.

00:07:27.700 We need to pray now.

00:07:29.200 We pray that cooler heads prevail.

00:07:31.820 Someone is now sending me,

00:07:33.000 a video saying,

00:07:34.200 that there was,

00:07:35.160 a Maryland man,

00:07:37.100 hoax tweet,

00:07:38.440 that was retweeted,

00:07:40.040 on,

00:07:40.780 on things.

00:07:42.160 Here's,

00:07:43.280 also Gabe Gardini.

00:07:44.880 He has an interesting,

00:07:45.840 an interesting tweet.

00:07:47.560 He says,

00:07:48.120 Chicagoans are very,

00:07:49.360 familiar,

00:07:51.340 with,

00:07:52.180 Robert Prevost,

00:07:53.240 now Pope Leo.

00:07:54.300 He is indeed,

00:07:55.000 quite conservative,

00:07:55.860 on the social issue,

00:07:56.760 of marriage and family.

00:07:58.340 Albeit,

00:07:58.880 not conservative,

00:08:00.140 on the migrant,

00:08:01.800 issue.

00:08:02.680 So,

00:08:02.980 that's Gabe Gardini.

00:08:03.880 He is the chairman,

00:08:04.940 of the Ohio College,

00:08:06.440 Republicans.

00:08:07.540 And so,

00:08:08.980 there's a lot of questions.

00:08:10.220 A lot of questions,

00:08:11.220 that we need,

00:08:12.300 to figure out,

00:08:13.200 what's going on,

00:08:14.140 in terms of this.

00:08:15.360 Obviously something,

00:08:16.380 that I'm sure,

00:08:17.840 the conservatives,

00:08:19.260 are not,

00:08:21.100 something that,

00:08:21.920 conservatives were not,

00:08:22.780 hoping for.

00:08:23.820 But,

00:08:24.740 that doesn't mean,

00:08:25.680 you pout.

00:08:26.440 That doesn't mean,

00:08:27.220 you whine,

00:08:27.940 and you take your ball,

00:08:29.040 and you go home.

00:08:30.140 No.

00:08:30.540 That's not how we do this.

00:08:31.700 How do we do this?

00:08:32.840 We work with what we got.

00:08:34.920 Sometimes,

00:08:35.760 the hard things to do,

00:08:37.180 are the only things,

00:08:38.460 you can do.

00:08:41.000 You have to go,

00:08:42.640 forward.

00:08:43.240 You have to,

00:08:43.860 march forward.

00:08:45.040 We are in a mission.

00:08:46.540 We are in a mission,

00:08:47.500 to protect our country.

00:08:49.300 We are in a mission,

00:08:50.600 to bring people,

00:08:51.820 to God.

00:08:52.760 We are in a mission,

00:08:53.880 to save the West.

00:08:55.960 That's what this is about.

00:08:57.600 That's what this is all about.

00:09:00.960 And these political issues,

00:09:02.920 that folks wade into,

00:09:05.180 okay,

00:09:05.700 these are not,

00:09:07.060 the spiritual issues,

00:09:08.180 of theology,

00:09:09.640 that of course,

00:09:10.300 we could also get into,

00:09:11.160 but that's not what we do here.

00:09:12.180 What we do here,

00:09:12.760 on Human Events Daily,

00:09:13.840 is we get into,

00:09:14.920 the political.

00:09:15.860 And in the realm,

00:09:17.020 of the political,

00:09:18.580 the Pope is not infallible.

00:09:21.260 I'm going to say that again.

00:09:22.820 In the realm,

00:09:23.700 of the political,

00:09:24.840 the Pope is not infallible.

00:09:26.900 He is a world leader.

00:09:28.260 He is another,

00:09:28.980 world leader.

00:09:30.140 And I'm sure,

00:09:31.200 by the way,

00:09:32.360 that the President,

00:09:33.080 will be inviting him,

00:09:35.420 to the White House,

00:09:36.300 very soon.

00:09:37.720 Because,

00:09:38.360 we need to see,

00:09:39.340 from the jump,

00:09:40.000 from the absolute jump,

00:09:41.420 whether or not,

00:09:42.480 Pope Leo,

00:09:43.340 is interested,

00:09:44.360 in working with President Trump,

00:09:46.200 or,

00:09:46.920 as we can see,

00:09:47.660 from his Twitter feed,

00:09:48.820 working,

00:09:50.140 against him.

00:09:51.180 And I certainly hope,

00:09:51.920 for the former.

00:09:52.920 Perhaps,

00:09:53.460 now that he is,

00:09:55.220 a representative,

00:09:56.260 of Catholics,

00:09:56.880 all around the world,

00:09:58.260 he will understand,

00:09:59.300 that it was Catholics,

00:10:00.560 who delivered,

00:10:01.800 the White House,

00:10:02.440 for President Trump.

00:10:03.900 And perhaps,

00:10:04.440 just perhaps,

00:10:05.500 the new Pope,

00:10:07.660 will listen.

00:10:08.620 Jack Posovic,

00:10:09.340 live here in Rome,

00:10:15.080 Real America's Voice,

00:10:16.040 and the Salem Radio Network.

00:10:26.840 Today,

00:10:27.460 you know,

00:10:27.820 they talk about influences.

00:10:29.360 These are influences.

00:10:31.220 And,

00:10:31.540 they're friends of mine,

00:10:33.600 Jack Posovic.

00:10:35.120 Where's Jack?

00:10:36.100 Jack?

00:10:37.060 He's done a great job.

00:10:38.480 All right,

00:10:42.500 Jack Posovic,

00:10:43.400 here we are,

00:10:50.960 want to bring in,

00:10:51.760 Real America's Voice,

00:10:52.820 as well as,

00:10:53.320 the third hour,

00:11:05.280 with our farmland

00:11:06.280 in the United States

00:11:07.500 that isn't getting enough attention.

00:11:08.960 The Chinese have been buying up 1.00

00:11:10.160 hundreds of thousands of acres of it.

00:11:12.260 They've taken control

00:11:13.040 over critical supply chains,

00:11:14.600 things like fertilizer,

00:11:15.620 animal feed,

00:11:16.320 farm equipment.

00:11:17.040 Why?

00:11:17.680 It's clear they're tightening their grip

00:11:52.220 I'm very excited now

00:11:53.340 to bring on John Yepp

00:11:54.920 of Catholics for Catholics,

00:11:56.140 who is also the sponsor

00:11:58.140 of our coverage here in Rome,

00:12:01.000 Catholics for Catholics.

00:12:02.760 John, I've got to get

00:12:03.560 your initial take on Pope Leo,

00:12:06.800 the 14th,

00:12:07.800 the first American pope.

00:12:12.140 I wish it was Pope Leo the 13th,

00:12:14.100 but it's 14th, right?

00:12:15.380 So he's obviously chosen the name

00:12:17.820 to maybe in some capacity

00:12:23.200 mimic the very traditional pontificate

00:12:26.800 of Pope Leo the 13th.

00:12:28.080 So that's a good thing going for him.

00:12:30.880 We're grateful to see that.

00:12:32.440 I mean, Jack,

00:12:32.980 you and I were both in the square.

00:12:34.520 The moment right then,

00:12:38.440 the white smoke came out,

00:12:39.640 it just,

00:12:40.260 I mean,

00:12:41.220 how about that?

00:12:41.940 Pretty crazy to have 50,000 people

00:12:43.800 or more

00:12:45.020 just race to be there

00:12:47.120 in the square for this moment.

00:12:48.580 John, by the way,

00:12:50.840 something that occurs to me

00:12:53.760 about Pope Leo the 13th,

00:12:56.280 if I remember correctly,

00:12:57.340 Pope Leo the 13th

00:12:58.360 is the first pope

00:12:59.520 to ever appear on film

00:13:01.260 and the oldest person

00:13:03.200 to have ever been filmed,

00:13:05.920 himself being born in 1810.

00:13:08.940 So there you go.

00:13:10.080 A little fact right off the top of my head

00:13:11.880 about Pope Leo the 13th.

00:13:15.200 I didn't know that.

00:13:17.240 You know,

00:13:18.340 that's interesting.

00:13:19.420 Of course,

00:13:19.880 Pope Leo the 13th

00:13:20.760 is the one

00:13:21.740 who produced so many

00:13:22.900 of the first encyclicals

00:13:24.400 which laid the foundation

00:13:25.800 for a Catholic social doctrine.

00:13:27.660 A lot of those encyclicals

00:13:28.960 that he wrote

00:13:29.480 really went to the heart

00:13:32.020 of what was basically

00:13:33.500 on the rise,

00:13:34.240 atheistic Marxism, right?

00:13:35.460 So he, you know,

00:13:36.120 condemned that

00:13:37.200 in his pontificate.

00:13:39.220 So that strong pope

00:13:40.680 when he was born,

00:13:42.260 so when Pope Leo the 13th

00:13:44.140 was born,

00:13:45.160 Thomas Jefferson

00:13:45.900 and John Adams

00:13:47.280 were still alive.

00:13:50.720 There you go.

00:13:52.560 They, uh,

00:13:53.220 he was around with them,

00:13:54.200 what, 14 years?

00:13:55.320 I think they, what,

00:13:55.820 died in 1824?

00:13:57.080 So, yeah,

00:13:58.120 you know,

00:13:58.420 he overlapped with them.

00:13:59.640 26.

00:14:01.580 And, uh,

00:14:02.440 but in any case,

00:14:03.620 we have Pope Leo the 14th.

00:14:05.960 I do not think

00:14:07.040 that he will be like

00:14:08.540 Pope Leo the 13th,

00:14:09.740 but we'll see

00:14:11.240 if I'm proven wrong, right?

00:14:12.780 Um,

00:14:14.120 Jack,

00:14:14.620 when he first came out,

00:14:16.440 did you,

00:14:16.800 did that not for you?

00:14:21.160 Well,

00:14:21.560 it was,

00:14:21.960 it was,

00:14:23.020 you know,

00:14:23.660 for,

00:14:23.940 for me,

00:14:24.400 it's,

00:14:24.800 you know,

00:14:25.120 I kind of,

00:14:25.760 I guess on,

00:14:26.320 on there's two,

00:14:27.540 you know,

00:14:27.800 there's two sides.

00:14:28.500 There's the part of me

00:14:29.060 that's the reporter

00:14:29.840 who wants to know

00:14:30.620 all the details,

00:14:31.600 who wants to know

00:14:32.300 everything that went down.

00:14:33.600 Uh,

00:14:35.020 then there's,

00:14:35.580 I guess,

00:14:35.900 the personal side,

00:14:36.760 which just for me,

00:14:37.460 you know,

00:14:37.840 as a Catholic,

00:14:38.820 it's,

00:14:39.400 it was a tremendous

00:14:40.160 experience to be

00:14:41.580 looking at someone

00:14:42.440 who's in the seat

00:14:43.820 of St. Peter,

00:14:45.280 a successor of St. Peter,

00:14:47.580 direct apostolic secession

00:14:49.220 all the way through

00:14:50.360 from,

00:14:51.660 and again,

00:14:52.160 above the spot

00:14:52.980 where St. Peter himself

00:14:53.900 was martyred

00:14:54.960 and is buried.

00:14:55.900 And that is just something

00:14:57.780 and you and I were saying

00:14:58.720 earlier on the Charlie Kirk show,

00:15:00.600 um,

00:15:01.120 just a surreal moment

00:15:03.780 that I never thought

00:15:05.080 I would experience

00:15:06.340 in my life,

00:15:07.820 having been,

00:15:08.500 uh,

00:15:09.060 you know,

00:15:09.260 a kid who grew up

00:15:10.040 in a working-class area

00:15:11.200 in the Archdiocese

00:15:13.080 of Philadelphia

00:15:13.880 to be looking

00:15:15.400 at the Pope

00:15:17.020 on his very first

00:15:18.280 public address

00:15:19.660 years later.

00:15:20.640 Just something

00:15:21.220 I never,

00:15:22.100 ever saw happening.

00:15:24.260 One minute

00:15:24.740 to the break,

00:15:26.380 though,

00:15:26.740 John,

00:15:27.240 we've seen a lot

00:15:28.360 of these tweets

00:15:29.100 up there.

00:15:30.140 Is this an anti-Trump

00:15:31.440 Pope?

00:15:35.000 Hard to say,

00:15:35.780 yes,

00:15:35.960 he did go,

00:15:36.460 you know,

00:15:36.720 after J.D. Vance

00:15:37.700 a little bit there,

00:15:38.320 uh,

00:15:38.940 early on.

00:15:39.600 Um,

00:15:39.840 he also have,

00:15:40.600 you know,

00:15:40.900 has retweeted

00:15:41.760 some of the George Floyd,

00:15:43.100 uh,

00:15:43.480 things earlier on,

00:15:44.680 you know,

00:15:45.280 and,

00:15:45.880 but I don't want

00:15:47.920 to write someone off.

00:15:49.040 I wouldn't want someone

00:15:49.560 to write me off

00:15:50.200 just based on tweets

00:15:51.080 alone,

00:15:51.520 right?

00:15:51.760 It's on the deck

00:15:52.320 fair.

00:15:53.180 Um,

00:15:53.500 so we'll see how,

00:15:54.700 how he shapes out,

00:15:55.620 but,

00:15:55.880 you know,

00:15:56.060 I,

00:15:56.360 I'm still just currently

00:15:57.800 at the moment,

00:15:58.260 kind of caught up

00:15:58.800 in the moment

00:15:59.220 of what it was,

00:16:00.260 like,

00:16:00.500 you know,

00:16:00.620 I'm a Catholic too,

00:16:01.640 but having our

00:16:02.240 spiritual father

00:16:03.260 promised to us

00:16:04.720 in John chapter 21,

00:16:06.920 when Christ

00:16:07.560 asked Peter

00:16:08.760 to shepherd his city,

00:16:10.140 we've seen that

00:16:10.800 line of succession

00:16:11.820 up until the present day,

00:16:13.580 and we're living that

00:16:14.260 now in this moment.

00:16:15.260 Quick break,

00:16:15.800 we'll be right back,

00:16:16.620 folks,

00:16:16.980 here.

00:16:17.560 Jack Posobiec,

00:16:18.060 live in Rome.

00:16:18.500 All right,

00:16:28.700 folks,

00:16:29.220 Jack Posobiec here.

00:16:30.040 We are back live

00:16:31.160 in Rome,

00:16:32.380 Italy.

00:16:32.760 You can see

00:16:33.500 St. Peter's Basilica

00:16:36.580 right behind me

00:16:38.520 over my shoulder,

00:16:39.280 the shock election

00:16:40.260 of the first

00:16:41.700 American pope.

00:16:43.720 I want to bring in,

00:16:44.380 I believe,

00:16:44.600 guys,

00:16:44.960 do we have Dr. Taylor Marshall?

00:16:47.180 Do we have him

00:16:47.940 up on the line?

00:16:49.860 Yes, sir.

00:16:50.800 Dr. Marshall,

00:16:51.440 do we have you?

00:16:52.740 Yes.

00:16:53.280 Do you hear me?

00:16:54.640 Hello?

00:16:55.480 Here we go.

00:16:56.160 All right,

00:16:56.560 Dr. Marshall,

00:16:57.340 give it to us.

00:16:58.980 I caught a little bit 0.88

00:16:59.640 of your monster

00:17:00.420 live stream

00:17:01.340 as I was trying

00:17:02.300 to get the signal up

00:17:03.400 as I was there

00:17:04.020 in St. Peter's Square

00:17:05.280 with just throngs

00:17:06.860 of tens of thousands,

00:17:08.280 at least 50,000 people,

00:17:10.020 and then made my way

00:17:11.280 over here for the show.

00:17:12.040 Give us your worst.

00:17:16.160 Well,

00:17:16.560 I did a show

00:17:17.500 on Monday

00:17:18.160 of worst-case scenarios

00:17:19.760 on the papacy,

00:17:20.760 and I covered

00:17:21.240 five cardinals

00:17:22.100 that I thought

00:17:22.580 would be worst-case scenarios,

00:17:24.920 and Cardinal Prevost

00:17:26.620 was on that list

00:17:27.940 of the five,

00:17:28.760 so I'm a little concerned.

00:17:31.060 I like that he chose

00:17:32.160 the name Leo XIV.

00:17:33.340 It's a traditional name,

00:17:34.900 but he's signaled

00:17:35.800 in his speech.

00:17:36.920 He's going to continue

00:17:37.700 the synonym synodality.

00:17:39.000 He's going to continue

00:17:39.780 the legacy

00:17:40.300 of Pope Francis.

00:17:41.300 I mean,

00:17:44.260 Jack,

00:17:44.620 you know who

00:17:44.920 Father James Martin is.

00:17:45.820 He's probably

00:17:46.160 the most liberal,

00:17:48.000 you know,

00:17:48.940 pro-LGBT activist

00:17:50.760 priest in America.

00:17:53.120 Cardinal Prevost,

00:17:53.980 who's now

00:17:54.340 voted the 14th,

00:17:55.340 that was his pick.

00:17:56.860 James Martin

00:17:57.420 wanted Prevost to ask him.

00:17:58.940 Guys,

00:17:59.240 let's try to reconnect

00:18:00.360 with Dr. Marshall.

00:18:01.280 I think some of the,

00:18:02.040 there's some signal

00:18:02.780 issue there,

00:18:03.660 and I want to be able

00:18:04.360 to get,

00:18:04.700 because what he has

00:18:05.500 to say is always

00:18:06.660 extremely important,

00:18:07.900 and I want to make sure

00:18:09.240 that they,

00:18:11.160 that everything

00:18:11.700 that we have

00:18:12.760 comes in.

00:18:13.520 So this is,

00:18:14.500 this is absolutely crucial,

00:18:16.340 because the first steps,

00:18:18.220 and by the way,

00:18:18.940 I'm calling on

00:18:19.980 President Trump

00:18:20.640 right now.

00:18:21.580 President Trump,

00:18:22.660 invite the new Pope

00:18:23.980 to the White House

00:18:24.760 as soon as possible.

00:18:26.860 Get him in there.

00:18:28.180 Get him in

00:18:29.000 and make it happen.

00:18:30.740 Have the sit down,

00:18:31.700 because this is going

00:18:32.580 to be setting

00:18:33.800 the tone

00:18:34.580 for the way forward.

00:18:35.920 Look,

00:18:36.020 it's perfectly fine

00:18:37.760 to have the dialogue.

00:18:39.060 I believe that

00:18:40.060 the new Pope,

00:18:41.080 just from what I know

00:18:42.140 of some of the things

00:18:43.480 that he's tweeted

00:18:44.420 and said over the years,

00:18:45.900 that likely

00:18:47.140 is in the right place

00:18:48.980 for President Trump

00:18:50.040 to have a lot of agreement

00:18:51.120 on issues of war.

00:18:52.060 President Trump

00:18:52.520 is not someone

00:18:53.040 who supports more war.

00:18:54.620 President Trump

00:18:55.120 wants peace deals,

00:18:56.420 he wants negotiations,

00:18:57.780 he wants an end

00:18:58.900 to wars around the world,

00:19:01.100 be it Russia, Ukraine,

00:19:02.420 Israel, Gaza,

00:19:03.680 India, Pakistan,

00:19:04.660 if this actually kicks off

00:19:06.660 into something larger.

00:19:07.800 He just had the ceasefire

00:19:09.360 with the Houthis down

00:19:10.340 in the Red Sea

00:19:11.180 and, of course,

00:19:12.460 making sure

00:19:13.200 to confront

00:19:13.960 the rise of China

00:19:15.020 so that that stays peaceful

00:19:17.080 rather than exacerbates

00:19:18.600 into war.

00:19:19.400 But on the question

00:19:20.220 of the border,

00:19:21.080 on the question

00:19:21.720 of deportations,

00:19:22.980 look,

00:19:23.280 we've seen these tweets,

00:19:24.960 we've seen

00:19:25.760 what's going on,

00:19:27.460 and we need to know,

00:19:29.420 we need to know

00:19:30.580 whether or not

00:19:32.820 the situation

00:19:35.040 is with

00:19:36.160 the new Pope,

00:19:38.180 President Trump.

00:19:39.660 President Trump

00:19:40.500 hold the line

00:19:41.200 on immigration,

00:19:42.520 hold the line

00:19:43.280 on all

00:19:44.040 of these things

00:19:45.880 because

00:19:46.740 Jack is a great guy.

00:20:04.520 He's written

00:20:04.960 that fantastic book.

00:20:06.260 Everybody's talking about it.

00:20:07.520 Go get it.

00:20:08.620 And he's been my friend

00:20:09.600 right from the beginning

00:20:10.520 of this whole beautiful event.

00:20:12.640 And we're going to turn it around

00:20:13.980 to make sure

00:20:14.580 it's actually quite a good time.

00:20:15.900 Amen.

00:20:18.460 An absolute shocking pick.

00:20:21.100 The first American Pope.

00:20:23.560 This is not something

00:20:24.280 that anyone saw coming.

00:20:26.460 This is not something

00:20:27.180 that anyone suspected.

00:20:29.440 Down here on the ground,

00:20:31.240 first impressions,

00:20:33.260 absolute shock.

00:20:34.720 Absolute, utter shock.

00:20:38.580 The question is,

00:20:40.400 how much of this

00:20:41.300 was prepared in advance?

00:20:42.680 How much of this

00:20:43.400 came to be

00:20:44.340 during the conclave?

00:20:46.820 We're going to work

00:20:47.380 our sources.

00:20:48.000 We're going to find out

00:20:48.580 everything that happened

00:20:49.520 behind those closed doors.

00:20:51.260 They turned the Sistine Chapel

00:20:52.380 into a Faraday cage

00:20:54.060 to elect this man.

00:20:56.900 Now,

00:20:58.100 Pope Leo XIII.

00:21:04.580 God save the church.

00:21:12.680 When I'm working long hours,

00:21:23.900 I'm always listening

00:21:24.540 to Human Events

00:21:25.320 with Jack Posobiec.

00:21:26.260 All right, Jack Posobiec,

00:21:29.720 here we are back live.

00:21:31.160 Final segment,

00:21:32.520 Human Events daily,

00:21:34.300 live from Rome, Italy.

00:21:35.800 We're also up hour three

00:21:37.500 with the Charlie Kirk audience.

00:21:39.360 Folks,

00:21:39.740 this is all about immigration.

00:21:41.200 It's all about immigration 0.99

00:21:42.800 and making sure

00:21:44.360 that we can hold true

00:21:46.460 to our beliefs

00:21:47.720 as a nation.

00:21:49.100 And people say,

00:21:50.600 you know,

00:21:51.260 where's the welcoming?

00:21:53.320 Where's the welcoming?

00:21:54.480 Should we be welcoming

00:21:55.700 to immigrants?

00:21:58.380 Well,

00:21:59.180 to immigrants,

00:22:00.220 we can be welcoming,

00:22:01.580 but illegal aliens

00:22:03.000 are by definition

00:22:04.420 not immigrants.

00:22:06.340 Illegal aliens 1.00

00:22:07.640 are people 0.71

00:22:08.360 who broke

00:22:09.100 into the United States 0.52

00:22:11.260 like a thief

00:22:12.740 or a burglar

00:22:13.660 who was broken

00:22:14.440 into your home.

00:22:15.400 So the question

00:22:17.540 of compassion

00:22:19.000 can only come

00:22:20.780 after the criminal act

00:22:23.080 has ended.

00:22:25.480 If people come up

00:22:26.560 to your home

00:22:27.020 and say,

00:22:27.440 I'm hungry,

00:22:28.260 if it's one person,

00:22:29.020 if it's two people,

00:22:30.620 perhaps,

00:22:31.700 if you so choose,

00:22:33.300 you can feed them,

00:22:35.780 you can work with them,

00:22:37.140 you can be charitable

00:22:38.140 on a one-on-one level.

00:22:40.220 But a nation

00:22:41.080 has no obligation

00:22:43.500 whatsoever

00:22:44.400 to feed the entire world

00:22:47.100 if they choose

00:22:48.320 to come over.

00:22:49.720 For example,

00:22:50.280 by the way,

00:22:50.820 if I go over

00:22:51.260 to my friend's house,

00:22:52.780 he's got no obligation

00:22:53.680 to feed me.

00:22:54.800 If I go over

00:22:55.300 to my friend's house

00:22:56.000 with my wife

00:22:56.880 and my kids

00:22:57.680 and my friends

00:22:58.480 and their friends

00:22:59.160 and their friends

00:22:59.820 beyond,

00:23:01.000 guess what?

00:23:02.000 There's no obligation

00:23:02.860 there whatsoever.

00:23:04.240 Now you're imposing.

00:23:06.300 That's the correct morality

00:23:07.740 on this question.

00:23:09.100 And I said at the beginning

00:23:09.860 of the show,

00:23:10.300 I'll say it again.

00:23:11.860 The Pope is not infallible

00:23:13.100 on political matters.

00:23:15.060 He's not.

00:23:15.680 The Pope is not infallible

00:23:16.940 on political matters.

00:23:18.000 Guess what?

00:23:18.380 Neither are you,

00:23:19.200 neither am I,

00:23:20.120 none of us are.

00:23:21.860 But what we pray for,

00:23:22.900 what we absolutely pray for,

00:23:24.520 and we will continue

00:23:25.680 to pray for

00:23:26.820 with this new

00:23:28.320 American Pope

00:23:29.820 who has,

00:23:32.100 Megyn Kelly

00:23:32.700 had a tweet up.

00:23:33.400 She said,

00:23:33.800 could it be possible

00:23:35.920 that some 20-year-old liberal

00:23:38.140 was in control

00:23:39.080 of his Twitter account

00:23:39.860 and he didn't even know?

00:23:41.980 We'll see, Megyn.

00:23:42.940 We'll see.

00:23:43.740 But when it comes down

00:23:44.440 to it, folks,

00:23:45.600 we need to have a Pope

00:23:46.720 who's willing to work

00:23:48.260 with the administration.

00:23:49.740 I want to see President Trump

00:23:51.080 invite him right away.

00:23:52.140 Why don't you go in there?

00:23:53.340 Why don't you go in?

00:23:54.120 Pope Leo,

00:23:54.880 sit down with President Trump,

00:23:56.220 sit down with Catholic 1.00

00:23:57.700 J.D. Vance,

00:23:58.780 by the way,

00:23:59.640 Catholic J.D. Vance,

00:24:00.740 who, as we all know,

00:24:02.000 was the last world leader

00:24:03.960 to meet with Pope Francis.

00:24:06.020 Continue that continuity

00:24:07.340 by sitting down

00:24:08.660 with Vice President Vance

00:24:10.260 and sitting down

00:24:11.460 with President Trump,

00:24:12.980 the leader of your country.

00:24:15.060 You, as an American,

00:24:16.740 when people say

00:24:17.220 he was actually

00:24:17.660 registered Republican,

00:24:18.580 well, guess what?

00:24:19.440 You, as an American,

00:24:21.640 then,

00:24:23.640 in fact,

00:24:25.720 it just occurred to me,

00:24:28.680 Pope Leo's president

00:24:32.500 is Donald J. Trump.

00:24:35.580 So, as an American,

00:24:37.180 his president

00:24:37.840 is Donald Trump.

00:24:39.320 Of course,

00:24:39.600 he'll be living

00:24:40.540 in the Vatican,

00:24:43.260 but I believe

00:24:43.920 that we're going to see

00:24:45.060 more American appearances

00:24:46.880 of this Pope,

00:24:48.140 possibly,

00:24:49.060 than any Pope prior

00:24:50.780 because this,

00:24:52.000 of course,

00:24:52.400 America is his home. 0.57

00:24:54.080 So, folks,

00:24:55.620 we're really going to need

00:24:57.460 to see how we set

00:24:58.900 this relationship

00:25:00.260 going forward.

00:25:01.620 The adulation,

00:25:02.500 as the folks can see,

00:25:05.920 the faith

00:25:06.320 in St. Peter's Square

00:25:09.360 for God's blessing.

00:25:12.280 We do hope

00:25:13.280 blesses this Pope.

00:25:19.360 We certainly hope

00:25:20.040 he will heed the call

00:25:21.880 of the Holy Spirit,

00:25:22.780 will heed the grace

00:25:24.720 that has been bestowed

00:25:26.000 upon him,

00:25:26.580 and quite frankly,

00:25:27.880 the responsibility,

00:25:29.640 the awesome obligation

00:25:30.780 obligation

00:25:31.340 to lead the world's Catholics,

00:25:35.800 to be the vicar

00:25:37.960 of Christ on earth.

00:25:40.200 Well, folks,

00:25:40.980 are we going to have

00:25:42.560 a continuation

00:25:43.340 of the antagonistic

00:25:44.880 relationship

00:25:45.740 that really codified

00:25:48.320 much of the time

00:25:49.000 between President Trump

00:25:50.800 and the Pope's

00:25:52.640 immediate predecessor,

00:25:53.800 Pope Francis,

00:25:54.320 or will this be

00:25:55.960 a relationship

00:25:56.600 that starts out

00:25:57.480 on the right foot?

00:25:59.200 I certainly hope

00:26:00.400 that it is.

00:26:01.880 And I came here

00:26:02.560 all the way

00:26:03.320 to Rome,

00:26:04.620 halfway around the planet,

00:26:06.660 biggest story

00:26:07.920 in the world.

00:26:10.300 And what can I say,

00:26:11.300 folks?

00:26:11.740 The only thing

00:26:12.900 that we can do,

00:26:14.340 that we can all do

00:26:15.020 in a moment like this,

00:26:16.120 is pray.

00:26:17.360 Let's pray.

00:26:17.380 Amen.

00:26:18.340 Amen.

00:26:18.820 in the name of the Father and the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

00:26:48.820 Amen.

00:26:49.820 St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

00:26:52.820 Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

00:26:55.820 May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.

00:26:57.820 And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,

00:26:59.820 for the power of God, cast into hell Satan,

00:27:02.820 and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world, 0.98

00:27:05.820 seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

00:27:08.820 Christ is King.

00:27:11.820 Ladies and gentlemen, as always, you have my permission to lay assured.
