00:00:00.000 Hey guys, it's Jack. I'm excited to let you know that finally the new edition of Unhuman Socialist Revolution is available for pre-order.
00:00:08.720 It's coming out in October. You can get it at unhumansbook.com or amazon.com.
00:00:15.060 Make sure to go and learn the tactics to crush the communist uprising.
00:00:23.580 This is what happens when the fourth turning meets fifth generation warfare.
00:00:30.000 A commentator, international social media sensation that
00:00:37.000 they make sure people are able to watch the execution and that people need to understand that there are serious consequences for these types of things.
00:00:51.880 I mean, that's disgusting. What is he, mimicking ISIS executions?
00:00:56.280 I mean, I understand that in this country we have the death penalty, but public executions is medieval.
00:01:04.560 Secretary Hegseth was speaking to Real America's Voice, and he said that that execution by firing squad would take place on the 3rd of December.
00:01:13.840 This administration is way off the rails.
00:01:17.720 The folks who are in positions of power in this administration, and of course we know all these things, but their values are in disarray.
00:01:25.760 In an interview, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth explained the reasoning for making Hassan's execution public.
00:01:32.080 We'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public,
00:01:35.580 because people need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things.
00:01:40.740 I think it's awful.
00:01:43.380 A, I don't happen to believe in capital punishment in general.
00:01:48.040 But to televise it, what is that, bloodlust?
00:01:51.120 We're supposed to get excited and pleased that some guy is being executed.
00:01:55.760 But I think that is not what this country is supposed to be about.
00:02:01.380 The execution of Nadal Hassan is set to become the first public execution in the United States since 1936,
00:02:10.780 when some 20,000 people in Owensboro, Kentucky, watched a young black man hanged after he was convicted of raping a white woman.
00:02:25.760 Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard today's edition of Human Events Daily.
00:02:36.280 Today is October 9th, 2026, Anno Domine.
00:02:40.440 We're here coming to you live only on Real America's Voice from Chicago, Illinois, where
00:02:45.900 I will be speaking at the University of Chicago later today with Tim Pool.
00:02:51.340 I want to give a special thanks to the Chicago Thinker and everyone who put together that event.
00:02:56.440 We're hearing from them in just a little bit.
00:02:59.000 But boy, oh boy, has the left been very upset about our little interview with the Secretary of War, which dropped yesterday.
00:03:09.040 The whole world stopped to talk about the news that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made here on this program just yesterday.
00:03:19.280 And the crash outs have been absolutely phenomenal.
00:03:24.760 And, you know, I've seen everything from, oh, this is medieval.
00:03:28.460 This is barbaric to what is this like ISIS, et cetera, et cetera.
00:03:32.840 And I'm going to go through here and I'm going to repeat some of the things that I said on the show yesterday.
00:03:38.300 But I want to be very abundantly clear about all of this.
00:03:43.340 What Nadal Hassan did is barbaric.
00:03:47.020 It is unhuman. 0.93
00:03:48.600 It is disgusting. It is absolutely reprehensible. And it is a cancer which must be torn off from our society and rendered asunder. You cannot allow a cancer to spread in your society. 0.89
00:04:04.680 That's what Thomas Aquinas said when he wrote in defense the death penalty. The expatiation of the right to life is not the subject of the state. It is the subject of the criminal, the evildoer, Pope Pius XII said. He wasn't even Pope that long ago.
00:04:24.240 So this idea that I'm starting to see now, that I've seen the left crashing out, but I'm also starting to see some of these squishy conservatives, squishy Republicans getting weak-kneed, getting wobbly and saying, oh my gosh, I don't know if we should do this.
00:04:40.900 This is so terrible. 0.86
00:04:41.940 Let me remind you what Nidal San did.
00:04:44.540 Nidal San specifically went to an area of the base where he knew that soldiers, his fellow soldiers, would be unarmed. 0.93
00:04:53.200 He then went and started systematically killing them, shooting them all. A number of elderly folks, as well as, by the way, a young woman who was pregnant. She lay on the ground, curled up in the fetal position, begging for him to spare the life of her unborn child.
00:05:14.880 he shot and killed them both and yes we do include both in that because that's the truth
00:05:23.520 it's not a political issue that's the truth the unborn child is still a child and its life
00:05:29.120 mattered so why then the public execution so that's the you know why then execution but why
00:05:36.120 a public execution it's really simple because you have to send a message because a private
00:05:40.960 execution doesn't send a message. That's words on a piece of paper, oh, this thing happened.
00:05:45.700 Now, the public execution sends a message on a deep level to the next Nadal Hassan, to the next
00:05:54.260 killer, the next rapist, the next murderer, the next terrorist, the next school shooter, whatever
00:06:00.100 it is, that if you conduct an act so heinous and so disgusting and so evil as this, and especially, 0.99
00:06:08.060 by the way, if you do so as a member of the United States military, that you will be found
00:06:12.640 and you will be given the ultimate justice. I want them to read through the list of the things
00:06:21.060 that this animal did right before they give him exactly what he deserves on December 3rd,
00:06:28.140 2026, Fort Hood, Texas.
00:06:31.420 Right back, Jack.
00:06:32.160 So.
00:06:34.220 Jack, where's Jack?
00:06:38.260 Where is he?
00:06:39.540 Jack, I want to see you.
00:06:43.180 Great job, Jack.
00:06:44.640 Thank you.
00:06:45.400 What a job you do.
00:06:46.820 You know, we have an incredible thing.
00:06:48.220 We're always talking about the fake news and the bad, but we have guys, and these are the
00:06:52.680 guys who should be getting Pulisic. 0.72
00:06:53.980 Pete Hegstaff wanting a public execution, wanting to stream a execution by firing squad makes a lot of sense if you understand that he's a Christian nationalist and he is flothing at the mouth to have a holy war happen.
00:07:10.300 Like, that's that's what this is. Like, they want to have a holy war happen.
00:07:13.880 It serves his goals. It serves Trump's goals. It serves the Heritage Foundation's goals.
00:07:19.060 and that's all this is but it's also insane like can we just have like a no thanks be normal
00:07:25.340 all right we're back live here in chicago just playing some of the more reaction that's out
00:07:33.620 there to the uh the news that the secretary broke here on human events daily yesterday and i
00:07:40.800 understand there's people who've got differences of opinion i understand there's a spectrum out
00:07:45.580 there, of course. I also understand that people are entitled to their opinions. This is the United
00:07:49.280 States of America, after all. I'm also reminding people, though, at the same time, how wrong they
00:07:55.600 are, because balance must be maintained in society. If we are going to have a society,
00:08:02.940 if we're going to have civilization, the table stakes are simple. And I'll just say this,
00:08:07.220 I'll say it now, and I plan to get into this later at the event, but for 25 years,
00:08:13.080 We've only had public violence going in one direction in this country. Since 9-11, we've seen terrorists cause the destruction of the Twin Towers, people having to jump off of them or face a fiery inferno.
00:08:25.880 We've seen terrorist attack after terrorist attack, people getting their legs blown off, people getting their limbs blown off and killed at the Boston bombing.
00:08:36.240 We've seen horrendous murders every day, live streamed or viral videos that pop up every day you go on Twitter.
00:08:46.880 We've seen three attempted assassinations of President Trump.
00:08:53.820 And Charlie Kirk. Charlie Kirk was murdered in public, full view.
00:08:58.720 we all saw that everybody saw that gory video and one day unfortunately his children will
00:09:05.760 probably see that video it's just the nature of these things it's too much the scales have
00:09:11.920 been tipped in one direction for far too long reciprocity is demanded it is an iron law
00:09:20.000 universe the immutable law for every action that there is an equal and opposite reaction
00:09:25.620 And that balance is what creates the conditions that allow for a civilization or a balanced society to be built in the first place.
00:09:34.500 Because otherwise, you don't get that kind of justice.
00:09:36.960 And if it's not public, ever, humans revert back to the factory settings.
00:09:45.300 And what is that? Tribal war. It's tribal warfare.
00:09:47.980 But of course, there's a lot going on. There's a lot happening. And it's all happening somehow in Texas. For whatever reason, God has given us a spotlight on Texas. And so in doing so, I want to bring on our next guest here. It is the Republican nominee for Texas Attorney General, State Senator Mays Middleton. Senator, do we have you?
00:10:11.940 Hey, Jack. Thank you for having me on today.
00:10:13.660 Thanks for coming on. So I'll throw it right to you. You know, obviously coming from Texas, I'm a, you know, a filthy Yankee right from Philadelphia.
00:10:24.220 So far be it from me to say what the people of Texas want. But with the situation with Major Hassan, what is your response to Secretary Hegseth making that announcement regarding the public execution?
00:10:36.840 Look, I support our secretary of war 100 percent. We have to have accountability. This is a terrorist killer. And I am and will be the law and order tough on crime, lock them up candidate for attorney general for all of Texas and deterrence works as well.
00:10:58.060 We need to make sure we have these tough on crime policies where I'll point out the critics, right?
00:11:05.100 The critics are the ones that actually supported defunding the police.
00:11:09.600 They supported letting violent felons out on no cash bail, letting rapists out on no cash bail.
00:11:16.540 They were the ones that caved in to the lawless mob in 2020 to open up the jails.
00:11:23.260 And I'll point out also that James Tallarico was one of those, right?
00:11:27.440 He voted to defund the police. He also voted to let violent felons out on no cash bail.
00:11:34.500 So this is a clear distinction here. We are the Republicans are the party of law and order.
00:11:41.440 And I fully support our secretary of war in this.
00:11:46.720 Well, I couldn't agree more that it's it's it's a time like this.
00:11:51.340 And by the way, guys, I think we have if we if you want to play this with with we have a clip of my good friend Charlie talking about this some time ago, guys, I believe we have is a clip to clip three.
00:12:07.400 oh they're they're they're getting it set up and uh and and senator so of course as as we get that
00:12:18.900 set up real quick it's it's this is something that charlie talked about as well that we all
00:12:22.360 talked about it's not about but it's it's not something that people celebrate it's not something
00:12:26.140 that we want obviously we want uh citizens to be able to live their lives in peace we want people
00:12:33.460 to follow the law and go through their lives without having to, without harming others,
00:12:39.440 without breaking these guardrails that we've set up for our society. But if we lose those guardrails,
00:12:44.760 that's when a society has the ability to slip into complete chaos. And this is what it's about.
00:12:51.000 Guys, are you saying we have it? This is my other problem with death penalty. It takes too long,
00:12:56.320 too many appeals. It should be public. It should be quick. It should be televised.
00:13:01.080 you could have like brought to you by coca-cola and no i'm not kidding by the way i would totally 0.95
00:13:07.020 tune in to see some pedo get their head chopped off convicted by a jury by the way that's gonna
00:13:12.340 i'm talking about a real thing i'm talking i'm not talking all executions in bellers are by 0.97
00:13:16.600 firearm that's not a choice or anything andrew's saying don't make kids watch it and i think no
00:13:20.700 the absolute i think at a certain age if you can drive you can watch it not even 16 if all of a
00:13:26.240 sudden you look at some of these savages like in indiana there was this guy that went in and
00:13:29.920 kill the pregnant woman and her three kids. And you know what? I want to watch that execution.
00:13:34.480 That'll make my day better. I want to see him on a public block and get him be publicly executed. 0.99
00:13:42.760 And it's really as simple as that. That's Charlie Kirk. That's Charlie describing exactly what 0.98
00:13:48.540 happened. Senator, I want to get your get your response there, because Charlie's saying the same
00:13:52.480 thing. Well, look, the death penalty for capital offenses has been the law for a long time in the
00:14:00.400 state of Texas, and it must be enforced. And I, of course, fully support bringing back the firearm 0.97
00:14:06.300 squad as well. I mean, you've seen this again and again and again. The left, they think that our
00:14:13.060 laws and our constitution are suggestions. They are not. And when you treat them that way, you
00:14:18.940 have violated your oath of office and you need to be removed from office. And this is a fundamental
00:14:24.060 role of government, right? Public safety. We're endowed by our creator with certain inalienable
00:14:29.640 rights of life, liberty, and property. And why is life number one? Well, that's the most important
00:14:35.880 one. And that's why we have to protect life by being tough on crime and making sure criminal
00:14:41.660 terrorists like this are held accountable under the fullest extent of the law.
00:14:45.660 no there's there's no question about it it's it's the fullest extent of the law and i i have to
00:14:52.520 imagine by the way that uh that this probably isn't something that the people of texas take
00:14:57.520 too lightly if i if if my read on the people of texas is what i think it is well that's exactly
00:15:04.580 right i mean this is common sense as well i mean we got to support our police we got to make sure
00:15:10.860 that criminals are locked up. We've got to make sure that we keep families safe. I mean,
00:15:15.160 one of my goals is very simple. It's to make Texas the safest state in America to live and
00:15:20.600 raise a family. Period. The end. You know, I've got four little ones and my wife and I are blessed
00:15:25.960 with three boys, one little girl. And that's my daily reminder of what we're fighting for here.
00:15:34.060 Now, you mentioned fighting, by the way, but one of the candidates I have to ask who's running
00:15:39.480 statewide, you're running for attorney general, but another one of your statewide candidates on
00:15:42.460 the other side of the aisle, James Tallarico, doesn't seem to be fighting very hard at all
00:15:46.080 because he's now been missing, I think yesterday was 12 days, today 13 days off the trail. We're
00:15:52.300 told he has the flu. I don't know any kind of flu that lasts that long, and people are really
00:15:56.940 starting to raise questions. Do we know where James Tallarico is? He hasn't been seen in almost,
00:16:03.460 what, two weeks now, which is outrageous that we're this close to the general election.
00:16:09.480 Look, I'll tell you, I served in the Texas House for four years with this guy.
00:16:14.840 And there are atheists that I know that are more Christian than him.
00:16:18.780 And, you know, you're close to November here when all of these socialists are suddenly saying that they're moderate.
00:16:25.100 They're all saying they're moderate now. These are people that have voted with AOC nearly 100 percent of the time.
00:16:32.340 So I'm not buying it. And I don't think the people of Texas are going to buy it either.
00:16:39.480 And at the end of the day, if you're someone who's running for public office, you have the duty, again, talking about accountability, you have the duty to be accountable to the people you represent.
00:16:52.700 How can you be a United States senator?
00:16:54.220 You'd go missing for two weeks and there's no word other than some blanket statement out from the campaign.
00:16:59.440 It doesn't make any sense.
00:17:01.000 Well, I don't think he wants to answer for the radical positions that he has taken. 0.94
00:17:06.000 I mean, he claims to support common sense, but is it common sense to allow a man to play girls sports? 0.87
00:17:15.820 Is it common sense to let a man in a woman's dress go into your little girl's restroom or locker room or shower? 0.61
00:17:21.980 Is it common sense to file a bill that renames pregnant woman, pregnant individual? 0.51
00:17:27.020 Of course not. But that's exactly what James Tallarico and my Democrat opponent have done.
00:17:32.080 And the left, they're really in a war against common sense.
00:17:36.500 They're not just in a war against the right, but it's a war we're going to win and we will defeat them this November.
00:17:44.420 No, I couldn't agree more. Senator, where can people go to follow you, get more information about your campaign, your candidacy?
00:17:50.680 Go to MayesMiddleton.com, M-A-Y-E-S-M-I-D-D-L-E-T-O-N.com.
00:17:55.760 The first day of early voting is October the 19th.
00:18:00.020 Make sure to go vote on that very first day.
00:18:03.820 Because, look, the reason why this fight is so important is we don't have another Texas to move to.
00:18:09.200 This is it right here, right now.
00:18:12.900 All right. Amen to that.
00:18:14.020 All right. Jack Posovic, right back here.
00:18:15.840 Real America's Voice, Human Events Daily.
00:18:25.760 talk about influences these are influences and uh they're friends of mine jack
00:18:39.200 guess what we're gonna bring back the firing squad aren't you so excited
00:18:49.060 yeah but no i'm i'm not kidding we have our first public execution set for december 3rd
00:18:56.720 and don't worry don't worry if you can't make it to fort hood where they're gonna do it
00:19:00.300 it'll be live streamed so you can watch it yeah great y'all i'm tired
00:19:08.380 all right folks jack was a week back live here real america's voice university of chicago later

00:20:37.920 they do such a phenomenal job i loved by the way spending last weekend with them at the nascar race
00:20:43.600 in nevada it was an incredible time cool to see their car by the way uh being out there with the
00:20:48.080 patriot mobile wrap again doing that culture jamming going where the people are that's what
00:20:52.960 patriot mobile does so that's putting their business behind these values getting them out

00:21:19.220 chatting, as we have been talking, we now just got the news, incredible, incredible news breaking
00:21:27.840 across all of the media that sources have confirmed that Katie Zachariah has been offered
00:21:35.500 the position of being President Trump's next press secretary. So my good friend, Katie Zachariah,
00:21:43.160 of course, as you know, she's been here on Human Events many, many times. I've always said when
00:21:49.160 asked publicly who should be the next press secretary that it should be Katie Zachariah.
00:21:53.240 She's absolutely someone who's got the chops. She's got the know-how. She's someone who understands this completely. And I couldn't be more thrilled to hear this news and to hear the congratulations. 0.98
00:22:05.220 So now you've got you've got Benny Ray Harmony from Rav, also a Human Events alum, being offered the position as assistant press secretary.
00:22:13.500 Now you've got Katie Zachariah, an incredible MAGA, America First Patriot, someone who has, again, extensive knowledge, is going on liberal media, is going on conservative media, absolutely knows what she is doing and can handle the job without question.
00:22:29.580 So we're working on tracking her down because, of course, they're reporting that she's been offered the job, but we haven't heard yet whether or not she has accepted the job.
00:22:42.940 So we will see a little bit of will she, won't she on a Friday here on Human Events.
00:22:49.080 But again, they could I'm looking out across the conservative landscape and really, Katie Zachariah, she is the woman for the job.
00:22:58.620 There's no question in my mind that she would absolutely crush it. There's no question in my mind that she would absolutely perform to beyond expectations and certainly, excuse me, certainly excel any of what anyone's thinking.
00:23:14.500 And, of course, it's not a replacement for Caroline Leavitt because Caroline, of course, did a phenomenal job while she was there.
00:23:21.640 No one could ever replace or replicate the work that she did.
00:23:25.840 Caroline, of course, taking some much-needed time off. 0.98
00:23:28.900 Again, she served throughout all of 2024 on the campaign as the press secretary.
00:23:33.620 I believe she started in 2023 even, then moved to the White House for all of 2025, the majority of 2026.
00:23:42.180 She's got two little kids at home. 0.99
00:23:43.620 So what better time for her to say, you know what, take some much needed rest and be home with her little ones.
00:23:51.920 So just an incredible time and incredible news with with with Katie's guys.
00:23:59.360 I know we were working. Do we have a clip of Katie's on the show here?
00:24:02.760 I think we were working on getting one up. Do we have one of those?
00:24:07.680 OK, they're going to pull one up now. Of course, that just happened.
00:24:10.840 And, you know, we're doing it live, folks.
00:24:13.720 We're doing it live.
00:24:14.620 But just incredible news to hear from.
00:24:17.560 You love when good people have good things that happen.
00:24:21.240 Good people have good things that happen.
00:24:23.400 And actually, one thing that we could do, and over a little bit, a little bit off topic, but but man, guys, do we have this?
00:24:32.940 We were talking about James Tallarico a second ago.
00:24:35.280 We've got this clip loaded of Tallarico.
00:24:37.080 Let's play clip three of Tallarico talking from his question and answer session.
00:24:42.620 Do we have that, guys?
00:24:44.880 Something that you love that's not family or friends.
00:24:50.180 I love, I'm just saying this because it's on my mind, the trans children.
00:24:57.920 He said off the top of his head that he loves trans children.
00:25:03.500 You know, it's something that you love outside of politics.
00:25:06.660 I might say Polish food like that. That's probably like, you know, the first thing that I'm going to think of off the top of my head that, you know, like, like non-political, like Philadelphia Eagles.
00:25:16.400 I don't know. I know I'm in Chicago. Can't say that right now. But, you know, again, just front of mind, if you tell me something that's outside of politics, gosh, I don't know, Battlestar Galactica, Wawa again.
00:25:30.120 But James Tallarico, the first thing he says is trans children.
00:25:35.060 Something is not right with this guy.
00:25:37.220 Something is absolutely not right with this guy.
00:25:39.740 And the fact of the matter is that we don't know where he is, not knowing where he is
00:25:43.960 in the middle of a campaign.
00:25:45.280 And by the way, I've heard a lot of rumors about James Tallarico.
00:25:49.700 I'm not really sure.
00:25:50.920 I'm not going to say anything without confirmation, not going to put any of that out.
00:25:54.740 Look, you know, maybe he just had maybe had a bad night at the Telefreak off.
00:25:58.300 Didn't go so well for him.
00:25:59.520 Look, things happen, man. Things happen. Thoughts and prayers, James. Thoughts and prayers. And at the end of the day, it's not our job to determine where he is or put that out. It's his campaign's job. It's his office's job. And he has to tell the people of Texas whether or not he's able to serve as a United States senator.
00:26:20.000 Where, yes, by the way, that is a full-time position, James, not a part-time position.
00:26:26.060 Right back, Jack, the subject of four human events here only on Joe Marker's Voice.
00:26:32.760 On the faculty of one university is one communist who may. 1.00
00:26:37.600 watch the downgrade the downfall of society where women you know we started and i'm going to be
00:27:00.280 very clear jack this started with the advocation of abortion this is started in 1973 and has been 0.93
00:27:07.240 downstream ever since, that when women are championing the death and murder and the ability 0.54
00:27:13.720 to murder their children from conception all the way through, when does humanity begin and end? 0.96
00:27:19.820 And this is the slippery slope that everyone starts, oh, you can't keep saying that. It's
00:27:24.240 conception. It's why the Supreme Court in many ways overturned, other than the fact that it was
00:27:29.480 unconstitutional, that the federal government never gave grounds for abortion and carved it
00:27:35.120 out it's why Dobbs happened because Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey were not good law
00:27:40.680 not valid law but it's the slippery slope of viability that they tried to go down it's like
00:27:46.140 if you don't value life from the beginning Jack then you get to the point of birth and beyond
00:27:52.300 and the women now are defending the murder of innocent children
00:27:57.660 All right, folks, there was Katie Zachariah appearing on the program just a couple of
00:28:05.420 weeks ago, talking about the Lindsey Clancy case. So incredible news there. But I'm here in Chicago
00:28:12.060 and we're sitting down with the president of the Chicago Thinker, Eduardo Vieira. Eduardo,
00:28:17.960 thank you so much for having me. Thanks for having me. Welcome to the program.
00:28:23.280 Thank you. I'm glad to be here.
00:28:24.280 Well, tell us. So tell us a little bit about the event that's going to take place later today at the university with myself and Tim Poole and and also this story about how there was kind of like almost a cancellation attempt.
00:28:39.020 Yeah, totally. I mean, thanks for having me again.
00:28:41.040 And so the Chicago Thinker is UChicago's conservative and libertarian publication.
00:28:45.480 And we're putting this event on right at the beginning of the school year to bring in conservative voices on campus and have that perspective, which is often neglected at universities to be present for students.
00:28:56.240 So we invited Tim Poole. We invited, of course, you.
00:29:00.120 And Tim actually wanted to have kind of a different voice on stage.
00:29:03.600 So we're going to have Luke Beasley, too.
00:29:05.800 OK. And that's the goal of the event is to have conservative voices on campus.
00:29:10.500 and that's fine that's exactly fine right and by the way by the way i should i'd be remiss if i
00:29:15.500 didn't ask who was one of the founders of the chicago thinker evita evita duffy evita duffy
00:29:21.040 my are my favorite anti-communist so uh and i can remember i'm you guys had like a brian stelter
00:29:27.680 came to town and you guys were uh we're tearing him up yeah brian came in talking talking about
00:29:33.100 fox news and all how fox news is all about misinformation information and one of our
00:29:37.620 member just came up to him hey uh cnn is just as bad or even worse because you've done nothing but
00:29:42.740 cover lies over the last few years what about that and he just lied through his teeth about the whole
00:29:46.660 thing so that was good coverage for us i mean it's easy when there's someone's i i i remember i
00:29:52.240 remember that that whole thing and i said i remember thinking my gosh who are these guys
00:29:57.480 over in chicago we need to get more of them out and of course then i found out evita was uh you
00:30:03.020 know one of the uh co-conspirators that um and i said oh well this makes complete sense to me so
00:30:08.940 so okay that so that was the event and sounds like a you know perfectly um perfectly normal
00:30:14.900 event to be held what happened when you went through the the you know production process with
00:30:21.080 the school because i saw some reporting the school was or some officials low level were saying that
00:30:26.620 it shouldn't happen yeah so we booked this auditorium at the university of chicago we
00:30:29.960 I signed a contract, all good, no questions asked.
00:30:32.500 And then about a week and a half later, I get an email from the organizer of the venue
00:30:36.260 saying, hey, I'm sorry, it came up to me that this event might be controversial, instead
00:30:40.680 of the email, and we're going to have to cancel it.
00:30:43.060 I'm so sorry.
00:30:44.140 Like, totally out of the blue, no questions asked.
00:30:46.000 And mind you, at this point, we didn't tell Tim Pool was coming.
00:30:49.340 We didn't tell him you were coming.
00:30:50.900 They had no idea what the event was about.
00:30:52.620 So they can't even claim to be about...
00:30:54.360 So it was just you holding an event.
00:30:56.280 Totally, exactly.
00:30:57.200 All they knew was the name of our organization.
00:30:59.020 That was that.
00:30:59.960 and so so so they came back and said there was a level of contrary you have no idea
00:31:05.040 do you ever find where that initial report of controversy came from i don't exactly know i just
00:31:11.420 know it came up to her to some extent what i think was was some superior in the auditorium was a
00:31:15.820 little scared of having us hosting there and then put the order down to her and track us out because
00:31:22.160 it's typically when i've when i've encountered this before and and i've every time i deal with
00:31:27.140 universities this is something that commonly happens of course with turning point usa this
00:31:32.160 happens to us all the time all over the place that we don't get a permit or there's an issue
00:31:37.320 with something with campus we're holding the event and it usually and a lot of the time not
00:31:42.720 always but a lot of the time it does come down to one person it has an issue with it and then
00:31:48.240 trying to exercise some kind of uh procedural leverage or bureaucratic leverage rather than
00:31:55.680 publicly saying what the reason is the other one to hit you with is the security fee they'll say
00:31:59.580 right there's an extra need for a security fee which of course by the way you know i'm i'm always
00:32:04.760 personally happy personally happy to help with but a lot of the times there there are fees that
00:32:09.000 your organizations have that can cover it and in my email back i said if there's any security fee
00:32:13.460 we got to pay we happy to pay for it right like we that was not a factor at all yeah yeah i didn't
00:32:18.880 even know that you said that but that's that's always what they try to do they always exactly
00:32:22.360 Right. Yeah. And so what was the final what was the final disposition?
00:32:26.480 Obviously, we're here. Right. Right. So how did it move?
00:32:29.060 So what happened was once we realized that the event person was going to do anything about it, we came up to the university administration.
00:32:34.820 And I'm not sure you're familiar, but the University of Chicago is the writer of the Chicago principles.
00:32:39.380 The principles of free speech are it's ingrained in the university's identity.
00:32:43.880 Right. And I came up to the administration. I'm like, hey, this happened to us.
00:32:47.360 They're trying to cancel it because of our conservative ideology.
00:32:49.780 and either you're going to give us an event back or i'm going to go to to fire you know the free
00:32:55.900 speech uh organization which places you chicago number one free speech school in the country by
00:33:00.340 the way and i'll tell them what happened and we'll see what happens from there so i emailed
00:33:04.780 the university back and forth a few times five days later they call super apologetic hey eduardo
00:33:10.680 i'm so sorry everything happened to you uh you can have your venue back with all our apologies
00:33:15.280 This is not within university principle, but again, this is after everything had been happening in the first place.
00:33:21.260 Well, and at the same time, you're running an organization, you're trying to run a, you're trying to build a crowd, you're trying to build an audience, you're trying to get people together.
00:33:31.760 Obviously, when you don't know if the venue is set, it's impossible to then go on and do all the other things you need to do when you're running an event.
00:33:39.040 Yeah, totally. And we were back and forth with the administration for a couple of weeks on that, just trying to see what we could do.
00:33:46.240 But at that point in time, we didn't know if we're going to have an event at all.
00:33:48.980 Right. So that was obviously a lot of a lot of things that we had to deal with at the same time.
00:33:53.920 Well, it's great to hear that free speech prevailed, though.
00:33:56.220 It's a victory for free speech, even having the event.
00:33:59.600 And it really comes to speak as a question for look, you know, I was I was talking about Charlie Kirk earlier in the show.
00:34:04.880 got you know that that shirt on uh today and you know it it is one of the things that charlie
00:34:12.000 lived his life for in service of the ideal of freedom of speech and and part of that of course
00:34:18.300 is debate and if sure if something is controversial then where better to have that discussion than
00:34:26.260 communication done on a college campus of course i mean big part of the event today is going to be
00:34:32.140 exactly q a we want students from whatever part of the political spectrum to come to the mic and
00:34:36.900 ask questions yeah that's part of what we're doing great so it's totally about free speech
00:34:41.460 and totally about well and that's that's what that's that's what the rule was you know charlie
00:34:45.300 would always say that you know if you disagree you come to the front of the line right here's
00:34:49.620 someone who's got a hard question a tough question uh you know someone said something that you
00:34:54.520 disagree with come right to the front come right to the front and ask your question and that was
00:34:59.860 But those were the ones that he wanted to really get into and to see if he could find out what made that person tick, if you understood how that person thought.
00:35:10.980 And, you know, perhaps, you know, maybe if it's if it's not very well developed and it turns into like, you know, one of those viral clips or something and they get into a back and forth.
00:35:19.740 But, you know, I think that, you know, thinking about how Charlie had done those and I'm starting to do more of them myself now is that, obviously like today, that Charlie would try to talk beyond the issue and try to connect with the person as an individual and try to say to them, you know, what makes you care about this issue so much?
00:35:44.920 and what is it that you know here we are you've lived your whole life I'll live my whole life
00:35:50.420 what brought us to this moment together where this was the issue that you want to join and
00:35:54.380 I really see him trying to reach out to the individual even if they disagree even if they're
00:35:58.260 you know he's conservative they're a liberal whatever it is that you know we could all be
00:36:02.280 human beings and I think that something that I've learned more just in this past year since losing
00:36:08.680 charlie that he has he had always said we need to bring people together physically because in a world
00:36:18.600 where people are are living behind screens all the time uh they have their cell phones they have
00:36:25.240 tiktok they have x instagram snapchat whatever it is that it's so easy to dismiss somebody's
00:36:31.720 and as a human being because it's dehumanizing because you're separated from the individual
00:36:36.720 But what Charlie always did, bring people together, bring people on campus, put people in the same room and make them confront each other's humanity.
00:36:45.440 And I think that there's actually something that's quite useful for that.
00:36:49.560 And I think that there's something that's quite honest about that.
00:36:52.680 And it produces a better discussion than you were ever going to get if we're just yelling at each other over screens.
00:36:58.620 So when you cancel an event that's set up like that, then you cancel the ability for people to actually have that kind of communication and dialogue, which obviously is the reason we have freedom to begin with.
00:37:13.440 All right, coming up on a quick break, but we're going to be on here one more segment.
00:37:17.940 We're going to be, of course, later today at the University of Chicago.
00:37:23.340 Tim Poole, Luke Beasley, and myself, Chicago Thinker, is our host.
00:37:28.940 And we're very gracious to be here today.
00:37:30.560 Right back to America's Voice.
00:37:32.860 It's the Jack Posobiec Appreciation Hour.
00:37:34.760 I can say confidently, I believe, I think Josh Shapiro would be the vice presidential
00:37:39.020 nominee if it wasn't for Jack Posobiec.
00:37:40.600 And that is, I'll be honest.
00:37:45.840 Zachariah now, she is the spokeswoman for Truth Social.
00:37:50.100 She's also a former spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security.
00:37:53.480 Katie, how are you?
00:37:54.920 I'm excellent.
00:37:55.740 I'm also a mother of four, Jack.
00:37:58.160 And so this case is...
00:37:58.960 Well, I was just going to say, you're getting ahead of me in the script here,
00:38:02.620 because I was just going to say that.
00:38:04.580 But here we are. 0.98
00:38:05.260 Yes, the formerly pregnant female. 0.64
00:38:07.700 That's what we have to say these days, formerly pregnant female.
00:38:10.000 Katie Zachariah joins us four times, right?
00:38:14.500 Jack Posobiec here, Chicago, Illinois, going to the University of Chicago later today.
00:38:21.780 We're on with the president of the Chicago Thinker, Eduardo Rivera.
00:38:25.800 And, of course, that was me and my good formerly pregnant friend, Katie Zachariah.
00:38:34.040 The reason, of course, we were talking about that, that was during the Lindsay Clancy.
00:38:38.660 It was the Lindsay Clancy debate was going on. And, you know, they were saying that they were saying that you can't have an opinion on this unless you had ever been pregnant yourself.
00:38:49.400 So, of course, I responded, I can have an opinion on this because men can be pregnant now, because of course, according to your own your own rules.
00:38:56.680 But, of course, I wanted to bring on Katie there, and I think we had some other, I think I had my wife on, and our good friend Libby Emmons, the editor-in-chief of Human Events and the Postmillennial, on these formerly pregnant individuals, on as subject matter experts on postpartum depression.
00:39:12.760 But Katie Zachariah offered the position of White House press secretary.
00:39:19.020 It is being said. It is being said today, which is just absolutely incredible.
00:39:26.560 Absolutely terrific. And, you know, just just a wonderful, wonderful thing.
00:39:34.500 But but so I wanted to get into you, get in with you regarding the event to tell people if folks want to watch the event later,
00:39:42.140 Tell them, give them the time, tell them where they can watch it, watch the live stream.
00:39:46.480 I'm sure sparks will be flying later today.
00:39:49.480 So where can people go to get all the action?
00:39:51.280 I'll certainly hope so.
00:39:52.440 So they can watch the event live streamed at our official YouTube channel.
00:39:56.460 That's the Chicago Thinker.
00:39:57.840 You can go on YouTube and watch it.
00:39:59.040 I think we're going to be streaming on Rumble too.
00:40:01.380 Okay, great.
00:40:01.940 And if you want to follow us on Twitter, that's at Twitter Chicago.
00:40:05.620 We're going to be posting clips.
00:40:06.700 We're going to be posting.
00:40:07.440 Chicago Thinker?
00:40:08.740 Thinker Chicago.
00:40:09.600 Thinker Chicago.
00:40:10.280 So, at Thinker Chicago on Twitter.
00:40:12.520 And we'll have all the links be there as well.
00:40:13.580 We'll have all the links be there.
00:40:14.440 We're going to share it all over.
00:40:17.100 Yeah, so feel free to tune in for that.
00:40:19.180 All right, so there you go.
00:40:19.840 So, check that out, folks.
00:40:20.700 That's where you go.
00:40:21.740 Get the action.
00:40:22.340 What time?
00:40:23.080 It's at 4 p.m. Chicago time, so 5 p.m.
00:40:25.500 Okay, sure.
00:40:26.120 5 Eastern to Pacific.
00:40:28.680 That is what time the event will start.
00:40:30.480 What are we doing?
00:40:31.060 About two hours or so?
00:40:32.060 Probably about two hours, yeah.
00:40:33.260 All right.
00:40:33.880 I've got to get ready.
00:40:35.260 I've got to gear up.
00:40:36.080 I've got to gear up.
00:40:36.740 We're going to get into it.
00:40:37.360 We're going to get on stage.
00:40:38.340 you're going to get into an off stage i love it i love the q a i love uh are you moderating are
00:40:43.060 you doing no i'm doing a small introduction but i want to just you know let him take over and you
00:40:47.060 take oh tim oh tim's taking over oh no no now we're on big trouble no no it's gonna yeah no
00:40:52.740 tim it just i said he's is he doing his show today he said no show it's just this so yeah
00:40:57.060 you know so we'll take that but you know what um as you've done so is this your first event in the
00:41:02.500 series no actually a few right no we've done the american identity summits these are bigger events
00:41:07.380 these are four or five panels and actually the last summit we had tim pool came in as a keynote
00:41:13.140 that's right because i remember tim had been here before exactly right so we hosted tim at a bigger
00:41:17.220 event and then tim came to us afterwards that was really fun we should do another one so this is
00:41:21.300 what we're doing right now and we're super excited i think i hope tim's excited too what are what are
00:41:26.180 some of so when when you're out there what are some of the hot button issues in 2026 uh with
00:41:32.580 your members or when people come to the events what are some of the hot button issues that come
00:41:35.780 come up uh in terms of the student body or just in general i think i think right now of course
00:41:41.480 the lindsey clancy thing was in everyone's minds yeah that was that was a big topic i think what
00:41:46.220 about um uh the situation over at cornell oh that's of course yeah that's uh you chicago's
00:41:51.480 not known for being a frat school right but of course uh that's still a university exactly still
00:41:56.060 a college so people talk about it and again everyone's having different takes on it so it's
00:42:00.860 always discussion happening in there well and and there's the you know for me i i can barely
00:42:05.400 keep up i've been you know running around with the secretary of war and i barely had time to
00:42:09.660 dig in on it but it seems to me like the story keeps changing because there's yeah more text
00:42:14.560 messages coming out and you know a lot more than there was sort of the initial headline but then
00:42:19.960 just like in every single one of these other cases there's always more information once you
00:42:24.460 start actually digging into it there's two sides to a story as it turns out right i mean every time
00:42:29.200 I mean, every day is a new story and the narrative changes.
00:42:31.640 I mean, last week, these guys were basically as good as convicted.
00:42:35.380 Oh, yeah, yeah.
00:42:36.080 We had to go back to the trial.
00:42:37.800 Exactly.
00:42:38.220 And then we go through information and things don't look as clear as they were last week.
00:42:42.120 And I'm sure next week we're going to be talking about totally different things again.
00:42:45.720 So it's just hard to keep with information here.
00:42:48.120 Okay, so that kind of tracks it.
00:42:50.360 What about, you know, some of the bigger issues?
00:42:52.380 One of the ones that I get when I've been going around on campus a lot of places in the country is people ask about Iran.
00:42:58.380 I ask about the situation there. Obviously, I was just with the secretary a couple of days ago.
00:43:04.460 I also asked him about that in my interview. Of course, nobody, you know, the news that he made at the end of the interview, you know, when it was, drew everyone's attention a little bit more.
00:43:16.540 But I did also ask him about that. And I asked him about the end of that.
00:43:20.560 Let me ask you just just as a representative here of the University of Chicago, that when you talk to folks about it, do you, you know, we see in the polls that typically 18 to 24 year old crowd is pretty solidly against it.
00:43:33.120 Is that what you see here on campus? Do you get do you get a spectrum? What would you read?
00:43:37.900 I think on campus, the crowd is pretty negative on the war.
00:43:40.600 OK, I think that it's just in general among young people, especially in college campuses, because of the liberal.
00:43:46.840 Sure. They just that they have.
00:43:49.520 I think
00:43:50.660 But is it something that splits
00:43:52.700 left and right?
00:43:56.220 I don't think so
00:43:57.100 Or do you see people on the right who are against it?
00:43:58.760 I think there are people on the right against it
00:44:00.140 especially because a lot of people
00:44:02.240 especially on campus voted for Trump
00:44:03.860 because Trump was a not pro-war candidate
00:44:06.320 like no more new wars
00:44:07.440 and UChicago has a culture of restraining foreign policy
00:44:10.780 meaning not
00:44:11.880 super against the neocons back in the day
00:44:14.640 and they kind of see Trump as a new neocon
00:44:16.600 because of this war
00:44:17.600 so there is a little bit of that perspective so so the idea and if i'm hearing correctly is the
00:44:24.280 idea is that picked up the vote because he was seen as anti-war right but then iran has changed
00:44:29.960 people's view on that and think maybe now they put him more in that camp exactly they they're
00:44:34.340 putting him the same camp as they were putting George W. Bush or Dick Cheney or the people that
00:44:39.060 went into Iraq just seen Iran as a completely unjustified war that president spending billions
00:44:44.660 of dollars on for no reason. And so, right. And so one of the things I asked Secretary Hegseth was 0.98
00:44:50.020 regarding the end of the war. And, you know, he was saying about how, you know, the nuclear program
00:44:56.000 has been, you know, leveled at this point, which I think is obviously true. And, you know, really
00:45:01.240 now it just comes down to the president deciding when we're at a good position with the straight 0.77
00:45:05.840 of Hormuz and, you know, who we can, you know, who we can make a deal with at this point. But no,
00:45:10.960 I've been hearing the exact same thing.
00:45:12.960 What about...
00:45:14.240 There's an interesting other super relevant topic
00:45:17.100 that people talk about is the rise of the DSA.
00:45:19.720 Socialists in America, and of course,
00:45:21.360 UChicago is famous for the Chicago School of Economics
00:45:23.500 and Milton Friedman and all the Reagan revolution.
00:45:26.560 The people behind the Reagan revolution
00:45:27.820 all came from UChicago's Department of Economics.
00:45:31.520 So it's fascinating to me that there's so many kids on campus,
00:45:34.840 and I would say even the majority of people on campus
00:45:36.500 are in favor of socialist policies
00:45:38.920 or socialist candidates, really.
00:45:40.960 and it's just a big departure of everything that honestly you chicago stood for but also america
00:45:46.000 stood for for 250 years well and in fact uh not only that but i think uh you have a a professor
00:45:51.920 here if i remember guys play real quick i know we're running on time play clip four
00:46:02.560 the university of chicago it's evil like you know it's a colonial landlord like why would i
00:46:08.960 Why would I put any of my political energy into this space?
00:46:11.840 And I kind of had a little bit of disdain for people who spent a lot of time doing that.
00:46:18.600 And the genocide really collapsed that and made me realize that two things.
00:46:25.020 One is that, well, my students needed me.
00:46:27.840 So it was like, oh, actually, I have to organize here to take care of my students, who I do care about.
00:46:32.780 but I also
00:46:35.460 realize and I think this is a lesson
00:46:37.220 this is a painful lesson that a lot of us in the
00:46:39.380 Palestine Solidarity Movement
00:46:40.520 that's El Saeed's
00:46:43.500 sister? that's correct
00:46:44.700 sister of Abdul El Saeed oh my
00:46:47.500 gosh so we're going to have a lot
00:46:49.440 of could she come? could she come 1.00
00:46:51.280 they actually emailed her about if she was going to attend
00:46:53.520 I don't think she came unfortunately
00:46:54.800 I'm going to put what's her name?
00:46:57.280 Eman Abdelhaid
00:46:58.540 Professor I personally invite
00:47:01.360 you please come out to the event today i want you to come bring your brother by the way we can have
