00:01:54.660He gets right up next to the microphone.
00:01:56.360I hear you can almost hear the eyelashes hit each other.
00:01:59.320You've never seen Italy so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween.
00:02:04.840Listen to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists every Thursday on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.0.88
00:02:29.320about something here it is fuck um okay shit i could do it you're doing great i could do it it's0.97
00:02:36.480a good start it's just tricky because um this will be this will be a heavy episode last episode was a0.97
00:02:43.520heavy episode it's also going to be one of the most impactful important impulsive episodes we've
00:02:47.620ever had so um i implore you to listen very closely to what we say uh more so i implore you to take
00:02:55.000action or if something we we say during this podcast inspires you motivates you to do something
00:02:59.900to uh progress humanity please do so that's i had a epiphany this weekend i i go yo i got money
00:03:08.640that's cool i got followers that's cool but what what the fuck have i done to attempt to activate
00:03:15.980my audience the people who follow me the people who listen to me like i'm an influencer what is
00:03:21.180what's my real influence been and this weekend i had a um very visceral visceral uh uh pull towards
00:03:29.960getting involved in all this and so i wrote a i wrote a monologue here which i'm gonna um say
00:03:34.720later in the show and and mike came prepared with some stuff but i want to talk about what's been
00:03:38.840going on this past weekend because by the way welcome back to impulsive then welcome back into
00:03:43.760the way in the world and just as as my preface to like we're known as a group of guys that like to
00:03:49.620jump around and have fun skip topic to topic i am not an expert or orator no matter how hard i try
00:03:56.280to be and i'm not a subject matter expert at the greatest level i like to believe that i i have
00:04:01.900wisdom and and knowledge of that a 35 year old would have after seeing years and years of things
00:04:06.780that life shows you and i'm going to do my absolute best and i know logan is going to do and and mac
00:04:11.920is going to do their absolute best today to keep this on topic and to keep driving the actual
00:04:17.040points home so uh i guess my my ask to you is just a little bit of patience for us today as we
00:04:22.080as we slalom through these incredibly difficult and complex topics if that's a great ask and if
00:04:28.920we're doing asks i'm also going to say say this i ask you to actively listen i already said it but
00:04:33.800i really want to implore you to really listen like like listen to the point where you're taking notes
00:04:39.760type shit if you hear something again that you that you like or can relate to or i feel like0.85
00:04:44.020you can get behind okay so last podcast and if you are subscribed to the vlog channel you know0.99
00:04:50.260this we decided to take the weekend off was feeling burnt out um i was hitting about a five
00:04:57.040to six month run of six videos a week the shit gets draining youtube is um it doesn't feel like
00:05:03.940a job to me but it is a job it is a business and i was getting extremely burnt out we decided to0.96
00:05:07.880take the weekend off and over the weekend we had protests which led to riots which led to looting
00:05:16.000um you've all seen on twitter we had a little thing with my brother who was involved and it
00:05:21.740was very close to home not only because my brother was involved because it was in la
00:05:24.760and so you went to laguna beach we were traveling i went to newport beach you went to the ranch
00:05:30.400david uh went to laguna beach as well the house took off it was our break weekend and it was all
00:05:37.860overshadowed and none of us could stop thinking about the injustices that are currently taking
00:05:42.820place in america we all cut our trip short came back here rendezvoused and had a rally plan
00:05:48.360as far as how we can get involved for positive change and we've been watching every bit of
00:05:55.720content that's come out we've been reading every single article every single post trying to educate
00:06:00.060educate ourselves me especially because i've been not silent but i i've not used my influence the
00:06:08.160way i believe i i should and again i'll get into that into the little thing i prepared later but
00:06:12.900um i think we should just dive in and giving giving some uh context context of of the complexity
00:06:19.800like mike said of this situation because at this point it is so it is so complex and so dynamic
00:06:26.680There are so many moving parts and pieces to this puzzle because there are so many different agendas that XYZ groups has as a catalyst of the George Floyd murder.
00:06:37.860And that complexity is imperative to address because much of the misinformation that you are getting from the press coverage of what's happening is a dumbing down of the story that leads to a disservice to the end user.
00:06:59.580this is a complex complex issue people that try to dumb it down are pandering dividing and
00:07:09.900activating their base only and and and this i think this is a good time to lead into the first
00:07:14.760monologue that i wrote which is about misinformation there are there are two very different things at
00:07:20.440play here one is what's happening and one is what's being reported and and talked about
00:07:25.680those on the streets are seeing one story those at home on twitter and watching the news are
00:07:32.240seeing a very different one i tweeted the other day misinformation is one of the biggest instigators
00:07:38.180of evil right now i've watched over the past couple days as big-time pundits on both the
00:07:43.120left and right push one side of the story to promote their political or ideological goals
00:07:47.980without saying any names certain people on the right place all blame on antifa thugs which we'll
00:07:54.880get into while steering clear of violent cops white supremacists and most importantly how to
00:08:02.400solve the problem that started these riots in the first place certain people on the left place all
00:08:08.660the blame on violent police without calling out opportunistic looters and anarchists let me help
00:08:15.340you all out actors who turn these protests violent no matter what hate group they align with
00:08:22.000are to blame cops who use brutal forces against against peaceful protesters are to blame
00:08:28.780the cops that then protect those cops are to blame opportunistic looters both black and white
00:08:36.320who steal from family-owned businesses are to blame pundits on the left and right who tell
00:08:42.800one-sided stories that pander to their base and drive further division are to blame the president0.99
00:08:49.040who threatens military fucking action0.99
00:09:17.040and like we already discussed at the beginning of this episode there's a million issues at play
00:09:24.480here but you have seen people on the left and right take opportunity after opportunity to turn
00:09:31.260this into a one-sided story to further their own goals it's disgusting i i watched this uh this
00:09:37.080this documentary called uh the 13th last night and actually in in this thing i'll prepare later0.64
00:09:42.320I took some of the facts I learned out of the beginning from that, and it's fascinating to me how much people in general, specifically in this movie, politicians will bend their moral code to get fucking elected, to get a vote.
00:10:00.680And people are no different. I hate to say this, but I've had this extremely uncomfortable feeling in people this past weekend.
00:10:13.020I've started to stop believing in humanity because people are so greedy and exercising the worst size of themselves because they can take advantage of peaceful protests and start looting and rioting.
00:10:25.660And none of it is right. And I, I, I, again, I can't believe how many people that I'm, I mean, what are some of the groups that are, you see at these protests? Like I want you, I want you to elaborate like some of the groups and their agendas when, when it comes to taking advantage of what's happening in the country right now.
00:10:41.460So at the protests, which have turned into riots, or some people call them separate from riots, there are multitudes of groups.
00:10:50.800And each one of them is to blame for the good and bad that happens.
00:10:55.540You've got peaceful, good police officers out there understanding that the country is in pain, standing their ground to protect places, but not pepper spraying citizens at will through the windows of their car.
00:11:09.880not driving their police cars through barricades where people are standing not
00:11:16.300attacking 90 year old people that are standing at the bus stop i saw a a cop push a 90 year old
00:11:24.580with a cane on the ground there are good cops out there who are standing with the protesters
00:11:31.060walking with the protesters so you've got them you've got the good cops then you've got the bad
00:11:36.700cops the racist cops the author authoritarian cops the police state cops the brutal police that are
00:11:44.340the same as the the one that started this in the first place so you've got good and got good and
00:11:49.120bad cops you've got peaceful protesters you've got that are that are the real winners here the
00:11:55.800people marching the people pushing for systemic change holding signs activating the base talking
00:12:02.180about what they can do to fix the problem calling but still calling for peace and then you've got
00:12:09.080hate groups you've got antifa i'm not claiming that they don't exist i'm not claiming that
00:12:15.340and the anti-fascist group as it exists in america right now is not out there causing problems i'm
00:12:20.140not saying that what i am saying is that there is white supremacists out there on the other side
00:12:25.960there's proud boys there are multiple groups of people who stand to further divide this country
00:12:32.760and to drive the dialogue of hate my issue on twitter and my issue for the past week has been
00:12:39.520that our president and other people like him on the other side
00:12:43.220sorry we got some we got some sound what is it is it coming through jet
00:12:49.440can someone check on it maybe eve eve or david bro i thought that was a jet i thought
00:12:55.700I thought the National Guard was coming in for sure.
00:23:43.940I assure you that the well-trained, well-armed press that have credentials, helmets, body armor are well enough capable of documenting that we don't need to send Logan.
00:32:14.660I've learned from them and I've worked hard to educate myself and create a better future for me, my friends, my future children, and the world around me.
00:50:45.060I'm a common sense U.S. citizen who wants the president to tell us that it's going to be okay and to come up with a plan to make it that way.
01:04:49.760He gets right up next to the microphone.
01:04:51.460I hear you can almost hear the eyelashes hit each other.
01:04:54.580You've never seen Italy so quiet as when the Pope gets up to wink on Halloween.
