00:00:28.680 watch it. Today, I want to talk about Canadian politics. I do talk a lot about Alberta independence,
00:00:34.840 but I have to live here until Alberta leaves. So this is important to me. I want to talk about
00:00:39.540 something that was trending on X this morning. I guess it was a person that was trending on X this
00:00:44.800 morning. And I want to talk about three different things I'm getting out of what's happening here.
00:00:49.800 So what was trending on X this morning? Well, Jamil Javani, the conservative MP, was trending on X this
00:00:55.760 morning because he put out a social media post saying he's going to Washington to try to smooth
00:01:00.160 over relations with Donald Trump and the United States of America because he's good friends with
00:01:05.960 J.D. Vance. Here's J.D. without the beard in years past. J.D., of course, vice president of the United
00:01:12.480 States of America. But more importantly, he's the vice president under Donald Trump. And that is
00:01:16.780 important. So what do I learn from this? Well, one, we'll go through them one by one. This is a
00:01:22.140 masterful move by Pierre Polyev, the conservative party, and Jamil Javani. This was set up in advance.
00:01:30.420 And I'm going to prove it to you from just something that happened on the weekend here
00:01:33.740 in Calgary, a short clip. I'm going to play that for you in just a moment. The other thing that this
00:01:38.400 is revealing is whether Mark Carney really wants what's best for Canada or what he wants what's
00:01:45.300 best for the Liberal Party of Canada. And the other thing I think is important to point out here is
00:01:51.220 this is going to determine who the true Canadians are. And I'm going to get to that in just a moment.
00:01:56.680 And I'm looking directly at the baby boomers, the gray-haired people out there. I have a bit of gray
00:02:01.120 hair. I miss the baby boom by a year. But this is going to prove whether you love your country more
00:02:07.700 than you love your hatred of Donald Trump. So let's go over to Mr. Javani with some short clips

00:02:18.160 but here's what he had to say to start things off. I'm on my way to Washington, DC. And I want to
00:02:24.780 explain to you, the Canadian people, exactly why. Because you're probably going to hear about it.
00:02:30.980 I'm going to Washington because I want to help Prime Minister Mark Carney be successful in
00:02:36.040 negotiating a trade deal with the United States. Now that might sound counterintuitive because I am a
00:02:41.980 principal conservative. He is our Liberal Prime Minister. But the reality is that this is not a partisan issue.
00:02:49.160 Kuzma and trade with the United States is so important to the Canadian economy and to our
00:02:55.080 future as an independent, self-reliant nation that conservatives and liberals don't need to
00:03:00.460 fight over this at all. In fact, we need to work together. The leader of the Conservative Party,
00:03:05.700 Pierre Polyev, has said as much. He has offered help from conservatives to the Liberal government
00:03:10.500 on this issue. And I'm acting on that. So Jamil goes to Washington. I immediately thought of the
00:03:17.240 Jimmy Stewart movie, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. If you haven't seen it, be sure to watch it. But he
00:03:22.380 goes on to talk about how Pierre Polyev and the conservatives want to be part of a solution here.
00:03:27.640 And this was masterfully done by Pierre. He's said this a couple of times in recent weeks, but he said
00:03:33.640 it on the weekend at the Conservative Convention here in Calgary. Conservatives renew our good faith
00:03:41.780 offer to help the Prime Minister and his government get U.S. tariffs removed and open new markets
00:03:49.280 abroad. We will work with the government in any way we can because conservatives always put our
00:03:55.000 country ahead of our party.
00:03:56.480 This isn't the first time that Polyev said that he wanted to work with the Liberals to create some
00:04:04.360 solutions to problems. He has to set a different tone when it comes to Donald Trump and the United
00:04:09.520 States of America. His tone during the election last year killed him. It's what gave the Liberals
00:04:14.540 their win on April 28th last year. But this is a brilliant move by Polyev, the conservatives,
00:04:20.080 and Jamil Giovanni, who is in this amazing position because he's good friends with J.D. Vance,
00:04:26.000 the Vice President of the United States of America. People are saying, is Carney okay with this? Well,
00:04:30.300 of course he's not okay with this. Here's an article from just February 4th. Conservative MP
00:04:36.780 Giovanni heads to Washington after Liberals snubbed to offer to collaborate. Giovanni is longtime friends
00:04:43.100 with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. Just a short little bit of this article. Conservative MP Jamil Giovanni,
00:04:49.400 a longtime friend of U.S. President J.D. Vance, is in Washington this week to advocate for
00:04:54.800 Canada-U.S. relations after multiple unsuccessful emails to members of the Liberal front bench.
00:05:01.560 Giovanni shared four emails with CBC News dated from December 14th to February 2nd,
00:05:07.060 in which he offered to collaborate with the Liberals. He sent the first directly to the
00:05:11.480 Prime Minister. I ask with humility, would you please consider how I might be able to help in a way
00:05:16.720 that is constructive and strategically aligned with the federal government's efforts?
00:05:21.280 He CC'd Canada-U.S. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc and other key MPs in subsequent emails. He says
00:05:27.700 LeBlanc's staff acknowledged his email and showed an interest in corresponding, but this has yet to
00:05:33.360 result in a meeting. Now, Giovanni, in his little social media post, went on to, in a way, insult some
00:05:41.040 of the people who voted Liberals and Mark Carney for something that happened during the election
00:05:45.080 campaign last year. And here's a short clip. There are people who've been running around this country
00:05:49.660 for over a year now, talking about their elbows, flapping about. I just don't find that impressive.
00:05:58.280 I don't find it serious. I take this issue seriously. And as a guy who went to law school in the United
00:06:06.280 States and has a strong network there, I think I have something to offer to help build bridges of
00:06:12.900 communication between our two countries. And that's exactly what I'm going to do.
00:06:17.720 As the CBC article says, he's been making this offer for months. Here he is back in December.
00:06:22.760 I would love to be able to talk to J.D. about how we can make things better for our economy.
00:06:27.180 But I don't want to get involved in what Mark Carney's up to, unless he tells me that's helpful to him.

00:07:34.300 Jamil Giovanni is way out of his lane. The love affair for all things J.D. is not reciprocal by
00:07:41.040 the electorate of Canada. Catering to a minute cult of extremist conservatives have lost their way.
00:07:48.660 And the liberals are depending on this hatred. They don't want this to be resolved. They need people
00:07:55.400 like this who tweet this about Giovanni perhaps solving this problem. They need these people to
00:08:00.560 continue with their hate for Donald Trump because they care more about votes than they do about
00:08:05.280 helping you. They need this crisis. And baby boomers, are you rooting for Mr. Giovanni or are you rooting
00:08:13.700 against him? Let me ask this. Do you hate Donald Trump more than you love your country?
00:08:19.680 And more importantly, do you hate Donald Trump more than you love your children and your
00:08:26.220 grandchildren? Because you are the ones that are holding them back. You are the ones who are voting
00:08:31.640 against them. You are the ones who are throwing them under the bus. If it were only people under the
00:08:38.740 age of 35 in Canada right now, the conservatives would win in a landslide because they see hope with

00:08:54.620 Pierre Polyev and Mr. Giovanni and the conservative party. This is a great play. But remember, Mark
00:09:00.660 Carney and the liberals are depending on your hatred of Donald Trump because they're not about making
