00:00:00.000 Andrew Breitbart said, politics is downstream from culture.
00:00:05.640 Oh boy.
00:00:10.460 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel.
00:00:12.860 Wednesday, February the 11th.
00:00:14.620 I hope you're having a great start to your Wednesday morning with the big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:19.480 And I woke up a little after one this morning.
00:00:23.580 I don't sleep well and I was wide awake and I had an idea for a story.
00:00:27.480 By the way, it's 2.30 right now.
00:00:30.960 I had an idea for something I wanted to do.
00:00:32.940 In fact, I sent an email to myself late last night.
00:00:35.820 Well, late for me, 9 o'clock or so, with an idea for a video this morning.
00:00:40.520 And when I woke up at 1 o'clock, I had some other ideas and I sent myself four or five more emails
00:00:46.320 so I would remember the thoughts I had running through my head.
00:00:48.860 And then I realized I missed a story last night before I went to bed.
00:00:51.760 And it's all over the internet today.
00:00:54.680 It's the number one story across Canada trending around the world right now.
00:00:58.980 And it's this story right here.
00:01:03.400 This is a tragedy.
00:01:06.960 10 dead, including suspect, and at least 25 injured in mass shooting in Tumblr Ridge, British Columbia.
00:01:13.020 This is a tragedy.
00:01:14.180 And I saw this story and I thought, should I talk about this this morning?
00:01:22.160 Do I want to wade into this story?
00:01:24.760 Because there's a certain aspect of it that people will grab onto.
00:01:28.400 And I thought, no, I don't want to make this political.
00:01:32.360 I don't want to make it political. 0.98
00:01:35.040 But then I saw tweets like this from these lunatics online. 0.79
00:01:39.120 This guy is threatening people in the independence movement in Alberta. 1.00
00:01:42.920 This guy is a lunatic. 0.99
00:01:44.640 It's so absolutely beyond sickening that there's an entire chunk of people right now 1.00
00:01:48.460 literally hoping the Tumblr Ridge shooter is a certain demographic so they can leverage
00:01:54.080 this horrific tragedy for clicks and gotchas. 0.96
00:01:56.560 So absolutely disgusting. 0.99
00:01:58.000 And then there's this lunatic here. 0.99
00:02:00.300 If the shooter of today's mass shooting in Canada turns out to be T, I'm not going to say it. 0.97
00:02:05.400 I blame Maple Mega.
00:02:06.840 These people have promoted hatred against this tiny minority of people, pushing them to their
00:02:11.420 breaking point.
00:02:13.580 These people are basically saying, don't make this political.
00:02:16.800 And by saying, don't make it political, they have made it political.
00:02:20.100 I want to talk about this because it's the top story right now.
00:02:24.740 So if this person turns out to be, and from what we understand, initially this was announced
00:02:29.820 as a man in a dress, did this.
00:02:31.820 Now we're hearing word that this person had an issue with their gender identity and we're
00:02:40.240 not supposed to talk about it.
00:02:41.840 I'm wondering if there's a little bit of a problem when it comes to this particular group
00:02:46.800 of people.
00:02:52.300 If the people you just saw on the screen who obviously have a similar issue had belonged
00:02:59.200 to a 4-H club, don't you think the government, the authorities, the police would be looking
00:03:06.700 into that club to see what was going wrong in their heads for them to do something like
00:03:10.860 that?
00:03:12.660 Now, you may be yelling at your screen right now saying a majority of these things are
00:03:17.160 done by white males.
00:03:19.080 And you would be, I think, correct in saying that.
00:03:22.040 But I think we would all agree, regardless of where we stand on the political spectrum,
00:03:25.840 that anybody that would do something like happened in British Columbia yesterday is mentally 0.99
00:03:30.060 ill. 0.90
00:03:30.680 And I think we want to get to the bottom of what caused that mental illness. 0.80
00:03:33.960 And I think with the group of people you just saw on the screen, there's a pretty damn
00:03:37.140 good place to start.
00:03:38.320 And I don't even know the motivation of the person that did this yesterday, other than 0.77
00:03:43.040 they were probably mentally ill in some way. 0.99
00:03:44.980 But instead of doing something about it, we pander to it because you get crap like this. 0.99
00:03:49.320 Breaking. 0.97
00:03:49.720 Blank shooter opens fire in Canada, 10 dead, 25 plus wounded.
00:03:55.180 Police are so terrified of misgendering, they're calling the suspect a gun person instead of
00:04:01.540 gunman.
00:04:02.580 This is peak insanity.
00:04:04.360 That includes the deceased gun person.
00:04:06.380 Okay.
00:04:07.040 And then separately, do you know the gun person's relationship to the...
00:04:10.600 No doubt the people who think we shouldn't politicize this will start lecturing us any minute
00:04:15.260 about using the correct pronouns for the person that did this yesterday, because that's the
00:04:19.620 most important thing, don't you know?
00:04:21.720 And here's something I've been thinking about for a long time when it comes to this issue.
00:04:27.760 If a young girl weighs 80 pounds and has anorexia nervosa and looks in a mirror and sees herself
00:04:34.500 as fat, what do we do for that young girl? 1.00
00:04:37.120 We get them mental health care because they obviously have a problem. 0.82
00:04:40.740 But if a young boy looks in a mirror today in Canada and they see themselves as a girl,
00:04:44.620 what do we do?
00:04:45.620 We have to affirm their care and we give them drugs.
00:04:50.540 What they really need is to talk to somebody about their gender identity issues, because
00:04:54.880 we know eventually kids grow out of this kind of stuff.
00:04:57.860 This stuff did not exist when I was a kid.
00:05:00.160 Ask yourself if you're in your 50s or 60s, were there any kids like this when you were
00:05:03.980 younger?
00:05:04.340 No, this is a social contagion.
00:05:06.320 It's almost like being part of a club.
00:05:10.060 And all they need to do is maybe talk to somebody about their issues.
00:05:13.700 They're adolescents, they're teenagers, they're going through puberty.
00:05:17.420 But we can't even do that in Canada now because it is political because we passed a law about
00:05:22.420 it.
00:05:24.160 This is Bill C-4 and this passed unanimously in the House of Commons and Senate, meaning
00:05:30.200 everybody, all parties.
00:05:32.180 If you had a child that has a gender identity issue in Canada, you can't even do it. 0.98
00:05:38.020 There's not a doctor in Canada or a psychologist or psychiatrist in the whole country that will
00:05:43.040 touch you with a 10-foot pole because it's against the law.
00:05:46.500 An act to amend the criminal code conversion therapy.
00:05:50.240 So here's just a short little bit of it.
00:05:53.320 Bill C-4 would amend the criminal code to prohibit certain activities that relate to conversion
00:05:57.560 therapy, which is defined as a practice, treatment, or service designed to change a person's sexual
00:06:02.460 orientation to heterosexual.
00:06:04.440 And that's what I thought conversion therapy was.
00:06:06.780 But in clown cuckoo world that is Canada, we have to go one step farther, change a person's 0.89
00:06:12.260 gender identity to cisgender, a bogus made-up word, by the way, change a person's gender 0.92
00:06:17.620 expression so that it conforms to the sex assigned to the person at birth.
00:06:22.040 Folks, you are not assigned to sex at birth.
00:06:24.220 If you are a sex at birth, that would be male or female.
00:06:27.320 Let's just get that straight.
00:06:29.480 But even recently, here at a convention here in Calgary for the Conservative Party, this
00:06:35.160 was an issue.
00:06:36.600 And if you're a Conservative, your party voted against this.
00:06:40.680 Tories support tougher crime laws, reject gender-affirming care proposal.
00:06:44.600 What was the proposal?
00:06:45.960 Well, here it is right here.
00:06:47.180 Thank you very much, Canadian Affairs News.
00:06:49.400 The topic of gender identity also caused a stir on the convention floor.
00:06:53.000 Delegates were asked to vote on a proposal affirming the right of parents to seek body-affirming
00:06:59.500 talk therapy, talking to a psychiatrist, for children who are struggling with their gender
00:07:04.100 identity.
00:07:04.940 The proposal was the only one to fail, with nearly 52% of delegates voting against it.
00:07:10.680 Now, in the aftermath of this, we get this.
00:07:20.780 And this is good information.
00:07:22.820 This was posted regarding getting mental health support, because some people may be really
00:07:28.300 struggling with what happened yesterday.
00:07:30.020 Unfortunately, the mental health care that was needed was probably before the shooter ever
00:07:36.860 got the gun.
00:07:39.060 Now, how else might this be used politically?
00:07:41.800 And this is what I thought about first off this morning.
00:07:44.320 I wasn't thinking about the gender identity issue, because I really hate talking about this
00:07:48.540 stuff.
00:07:49.100 But how are the Liberals going to use this to support their gun confiscation program?
00:07:54.400 Because a gun was used in this.
00:07:57.380 And the Conservatives don't want them to take the guns.
00:08:01.260 So how are they going to use it politically in their favor?
00:08:05.500 They're looking for a way to get to an election, folks.
00:08:08.280 Public safety, folks.
00:08:09.840 The Conservatives want people to be able to keep guns.
00:08:12.700 Look what happened in British Columbia the other day.
00:08:14.900 Is that what's going to happen?
00:08:15.840 Because that's the political thing I'm expecting to happen very soon in a question period happening
00:08:21.200 in Ottawa or near you.
00:08:24.160 Tell me what you think in the comments.
00:08:27.360 I'll talk about issues that are really important to you as well later, how the government's wasting
00:08:32.580 your money.
00:08:33.520 But if you like the video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for
00:08:37.200 notifications.
00:08:37.900 I'll see you in the next one.
