00:01:35.140 an eye at it. As absurd as this is, as ridiculous as this is, as obscene as this is, you don't even
00:01:44.500 bat an eye. You know, you read the comments on this story, BC's Hatley Castle, parcels of downtown
00:01:50.800 Victoria, among lands earmarked for transfer to First Nations. People are outraged that this kind
00:01:56.460 of thing is happening, but they're not surprised about it because all of the negotiating power is
00:02:01.800 on the side of the First Nations now. You know, when you're part of the BC legislature, and this
00:02:08.320 is the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia on their homepage, and right over here on the
00:02:12.680 right-hand side, you basically say the land that the parliament building's on belonged to somebody

00:03:39.240 thinking this isn't a lot of land, but think about recent rulings. Think about the Cowichan ruling.
00:03:44.760 You heard about that recently. Think about Haida Gwaii. Now we're getting big, folks. Two and a
00:03:50.100 half million acres of British Columbia so far, because more of these are coming down the road.
00:03:55.080 and you won't be surprised when most of British Columbia is completely taken over by Indigenous
00:03:59.560 groups. But it's not as if we haven't been warned about this. It isn't. Only a month ago,
00:04:06.600 a federal politician was warning about this. I think this is a great wedge issue for conservatives
00:04:11.360 in this country. Pierre Polyev, the liberals support UNDRIP. The conservatives, the only
00:04:16.560 party, I think, to vote against UNDRIP. The United Nations Declaration of Rights of Indigenous
00:04:22.180 as people, if I remember the acronym correctly. But I think this is a great wedge issue. People
00:04:26.560 think this is unfair. People think it's outrageous. People think this is wrong. And it's happening
00:04:32.060 more and more often. And don't think it can't come to you. And it won't affect you. And nothing's

00:05:06.720 about a month ago about this. UNDRIP threatens Canada's parliamentary sovereignty, rule of law,
00:05:12.740 resource development, and property rights. The B.C. government has already found itself in high
00:05:18.780 profile court cases because it has adopted UNDRIP through the DRIPA law. By implementing an agreement
00:05:25.920 that appeals to UNDRIP as the authoritative source, the Kearney liberals would elevate
00:05:32.420 UNDRIP from policy commitment to legally binding guidelines, threatening your home,
00:05:36.740 and threatening resource projects. Has Pierre Pauly have got the guts to make this a wedge
00:05:42.620 issue with the liberals? They'd be forced to defend this kind of thing. And I think most
00:05:47.780 Canadians would think this is ridiculous. I think it's ridiculous. I mean, even the BC conservatives
00:05:53.020 wanted indigenous rights law on drip repealed. The chief pushes back. They claimed that they
00:05:58.680 would blockade the province. So this isn't going back now. This land has been turned over to them.
00:06:03.560 It's never going back to its rightful owner here, folks, which are the people of British Columbia.

00:06:22.720 opposition. But then he wanted to repeal the law afterwards. You look at Carrie Lynn Finley,
00:06:28.780 who's now the leader of the British Columbia Conservatives. 24 million acres, a vast swath
00:06:34.680 of British Columbia that's larger than Portugal. That's what's at stake here. And this is only the
00:06:39.800 beginning. There will be nothing left of BC by the time the NDP are finished with their plan to
00:06:44.780 give away land that rightfully belongs to the people of British Columbia. You remember, 24
00:06:50.140 million acres. We started here, then we got to here. This is 24 million acres, folks, overlaid
00:06:56.180 on British Columbia. It's almost the whole province. Now you might be thinking, well,
00:07:01.860 I mean, nothing's going to change. You hand this land over to these people, they're not going to
00:07:05.860 do anything with it. It's not as if they're going to close down things. It's not as if they're going
00:07:09.900 to take control of buildings and property and private property. It's not as if that's going
00:07:14.220 to happen. It's not as if they're going to start closing parks. A popular BC park is facing
00:07:19.760 closures in the coming months as local First Nations reconnect with the land. The Lilwen and
00:07:25.340 Nkwakwa nations have announced that Joffrey Lakes Park will be closed to visitors from June 13th to 27th
00:07:31.920 and from August 22nd to October 23rd.
00:07:35.240 We have to take care of, you know, the lands and that is our responsibility.
