00:00:00.000 Can we please, please, please get to the point in society now where we all are pretty much on the
00:00:11.580 same page, pretty much in agreement with the idea that if there are still some folks out there who
00:00:16.760 don't hashtag feel safe after all of the restrictions that have been put in place,
00:00:21.640 all of the measures, all this vaccine passport business, everything that's in place right now,
00:00:25.820 and they still, they still don't hashtag feel safe, well then maybe, just a crazy idea here,
00:00:32.160 just maybe the solution isn't to bring in more restrictions for everybody. Maybe it's not more
00:00:39.760 government rules, more regulations, maybe, just maybe those folks who are not feeling
00:00:45.600 hashtag feeling safe, well maybe they need to be the ones to hashtag stay home. Because things are
00:00:54.220 getting more than a little bit ridiculous now. In terms of all the new things that could be
00:00:58.780 introduced and proposed in terms of COVID-19 mitigation measures, I was thinking about
00:01:04.140 this in recent weeks when there was debate and discussion about rapid testing in schools in
00:01:09.180 Ontario. Now most people seem pretty content to send their kids back to school when they reopened
00:01:14.940 based on how the rules were at the time. Some parents say no we got to bring in testing in
00:01:21.580 schools now, it was going to be voluntary, although I think some of them would have preferred everybody
00:01:25.460 pretty much to be tested, basically mandatory testing. And it's like, hold on, if we're here
00:01:30.500 doing this now without all of this, why do we need to introduce this? Okay, well because these people
00:01:36.100 don't hashtag feel safe. But here's the thing, there's already so many protocols in place, whether
00:01:40.960 it's for schools or we can use various other examples, and you're saying I want this other thing
00:01:46.240 introduced. But I don't know, things are proceeding more or less fine. There's an online school option,
00:01:53.560 it's there for a reason. The fact that you don't hashtag feel safe in the current school environment,
00:01:59.320 and you want there to be more protocols, more onerous restrictions, or what have you,
00:02:03.540 maybe that's just a sign, not that we need to bring those mitigation measures in, maybe that's a sign
00:02:09.300 that you just need to take the online schooling option, and not bring in more things that could
00:02:14.460 potentially affect others, more restrictions for others. That's really where we're at now.
00:02:19.980 I gotta tell you, pretty much every public health official in Canada is now using the phrase
00:02:25.260 learning to live with COVID. I know that increasingly small COVID zero crowd, they don't
00:02:31.540 like that phrase, but that's being used. Pretty much all the chief medical officers have uttered that
00:02:36.360 phrase. In fact, I saw in a Toronto public health document relating to COVID in schools, they actually
00:02:41.640 discuss, as we learn to live with COVID-19. So they're talking about it within the school setting.
00:02:48.200 So there you go, you've got actual official government documents on government letterhead,
00:02:53.460 using the phrase learning to live with COVID-19. I think most people are doing it, and there's
00:02:59.240 disagreement on various rules and restrictions. Some people like some of them, some people don't like
00:03:04.340 them. You know what I'm talking about. But right now, at this point in time, fall 2021,
00:03:09.480 one, to those folks who are saying, oh, hold on a second, we need to add this, we need to do more
00:03:14.440 of this, and more of that. You know, I'm happy to have you all be gladly participating in all aspects
00:03:20.360 of society. But if that's your perspective right now, I don't know, I really think you're the ones
00:03:25.600 who need to, hashtag stay home.
