00:02:01.000 as the heroic people of Minneapolis has shown the world. Okay, guys, like, if you're pointing to
00:02:08.540 what's happening in Minneapolis with ICE raids, as an example of how the United States is concretely
00:02:14.100 a fascist, I think you're kind of like drinking your own Kool-Aid. You're kind of mixed up in the
00:02:19.640 world of fake news. Because like, it's pretty simple what's happening in Minneapolis right now.
00:02:23.740 President Trump was elected, right? He's a democratic leader. He was democratically
00:02:28.220 elected by the people. He actually won the majority of the popular vote, which is sort of rare,
00:02:33.480 especially for a Republican. But he won a majority in an election. That means he is the democratic leader,

00:02:45.240 of government ever created, right? And so President Trump is a democratic leader. One of the things that
00:02:51.260 he was elected to do was to deport all the bad guys, deport all the people that came in illegally,
00:02:56.800 particularly under Joe Biden's administration. He has a democratic will to do that. He's doing it
00:03:01.460 just fine all over the country. The place he's running into some trouble is in Minneapolis,
00:03:06.100 because of the officials in that state are trying to block a federal law enforcement, which is just
00:03:12.080 not a good idea, right? So you have ICE, the Immigration Enforcement Agency, trying to deport these
00:03:17.200 people. They're deporting bad guys. They're deporting violent criminals, people with violent histories in
00:03:23.380 the United States, people you don't want in your country, right? Rapists and killers. That is who
00:03:28.080 they're deporting. And the deranged people who are blocking them are like just totally radicalized.
00:03:34.580 They're totally radicalized. And they've decided it's a good idea to intervene. Imagine if someone in
00:03:40.840 your neighborhood was murdered, right? And they were going after, law enforcement was like chasing the bad
00:03:45.800 guy, the murderer who killed your neighbor. And these people are blocking the law enforcement
00:03:50.120 from going after, like, that is a crime. That is insane. That is stupid. There's no reason to do it.

00:04:17.260 of perspective here when you listen to the woman. So many of these people blocking these police
00:04:22.120 investigations are like middle-aged women who have been radicalized online, radicalized on TikTok
00:04:27.360 to believe that they're living in a fascist dictatorship. It's obviously not true, but they
00:04:32.240 believe it because they've been radicalized and they've been manipulated. And you can hear her,
00:04:36.660 this woman in the car and how deranged she is. And listen to the ICE officers who are making perfect
00:04:41.560 sense or saying, hey, we're literally going after a really bad guy. And you're trying to block us
00:04:46.640 from arresting a really bad guy. And you can just kind of hear she gives it all away where she's
00:04:52.540 saying, I don't care. I don't care about the person you're trying to arrest or the victims of
00:04:58.120 the crime that he committed. I don't care about that. I'm going to play this video. It's about two
00:05:01.840 minutes, but it's worth watching to get some context into this whole situation. So let's roll

00:08:41.000 American kids and they're born in the U.S., but you're getting deported because you're a bad guy,
00:08:45.440 right? So you have a choice. These kids can go to like their next of kin if they have a grandmother or an
00:08:50.480 aunt and uncle or someone they can live with, or they can go with you back to your home country
00:08:53.800 and to give the guy a choice. And the guy says, okay, these kids are going to come back with me.
00:08:57.920 They're still American. They can go back to the U.S. when they're older, but they're going to go with
00:09:01.920 their dad because there's no one else for them to go. It's like, it would be the same thing if a

00:09:31.820 and Mail and this academic buying into it, again, saying that the Americans are fascist. I'll just
00:09:38.320 read a little bit more. It says, but as with Russia, we must expect that it is possible the United
00:09:43.960 States will remain fascist far into the future. As with naivety, hope is also not a strategy.
00:09:50.600 One way of avoiding reality is to believe that it is only the US government that is fascist,
00:09:56.100 not the American people. But Donald Trump was perfectly clear about his intentions. The clear
00:10:00.580 majority of the United States voted for him anyway. It is a cold, hard fact that many Americans
00:10:05.960 are irredeemably racist and fascist. Even more Americans are sufficiently sympathetic to the
00:10:13.920 ideology of fascism that they voted for. The country, Canada's neighbor, also happens to be
00:10:20.640 the most powerful country on earth. How should Canada respond? After Russia conducted its full-scale
00:10:26.340 invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, I traveled to Ukraine to teach. I've learned much from Ukraine
00:10:31.460 and Ukrainians. I'm also American, a scholar of the United States, as well as a scholar of fascism.
00:10:37.480 I know my country well. One thing I'm not, however, is Canadian. I read here from my position as an
00:10:42.780 American anti-fascist intellectual with some experience in Ukraine and not as a Canadian.
00:10:50.300 Okay. And then the guy goes on to talk about like this, like academic framework for how to deal
00:10:55.040 with fascism. The entire premise is just totally ridiculous. Like anything mildly conservative,
00:11:00.560 like pro-freedom, I guess. This guy is like defining as fascism and authoritarian. Like,
00:11:06.340 I'm sorry, this sounds like a fever dream. This sounds like a paranoid schizophrenic.
00:11:09.700 And yet it's being like presented as wisdom and esteem and promoted by our elite institutions. You
00:11:17.200 know, George Orwell in his essay, Politics in the English Language, talked about how fascism is so
00:11:22.460 overused that the word has no meaning at all. That's completely true in this case. Like somehow
00:11:27.660 wanting limited government and for like people who are not part of your country to leave,
00:11:33.020 somehow that has been contorted into fascism. You look at the definition of fascism. It's supposed
00:11:38.300 to be an authoritarian dictatorship. It's like anti-democratic. You know, when you're talking
00:11:44.080 about like Benito Mussolini in Italy, that's like, he's the one that developed this concept
00:11:48.380 of fascism. A lot of it was having to do with government and industry working hand in glove,
00:11:54.260 which you could argue that happens a lot more in Canada than it does in the United States,
00:11:58.700 right? Suppression of dissent, right? America is a free speech absolutist country, right? They don't
00:12:03.880 have any hate speech laws. They have a totally free media. They don't have a huge government funded
00:12:09.200 state broadcaster like we do in Canada. Like you could argue that all of these bills passed by the
00:12:14.720 liberal government to try to regulate the internet and like the online harms act. And, you know,
00:12:20.500 they even want to make a residential school denialism a crime, right? Like, like Canada is
00:12:25.080 the country that cracks down on dissent and cracks down on three breaths. Like you could just as easily
00:12:30.580 say that Canada is a fascist country. What should America do to protect itself? Right? But like,
00:12:36.240 why would you even go down that path? Right? Again, I'm with George Orwell. Fascism has no meaning
00:12:40.560 because it's so overused and it's so ridiculous and so pathetic and petty and juvenile to point to Trump
00:12:46.900 and say, they're fascists. American people are fascists for voting for Trump. It's just nonsense
00:12:51.960 and it is unbecoming and it is below what should be published by the Globe and Mail. So that is

00:13:23.780 these ICE officers are. They're trying to dox them, which is why a lot of these ICE guys wear masks
00:13:27.620 because there's bounties on their head from the Mexican cartels. Right? And so they have to cover
00:13:31.960 their identity because all these lunatics are out there trying to block them and trying to hurt them
00:13:36.000 while they're just trying to, again, carry out the democratic will of the American government to deport all
00:13:40.440 the bad guys. And here we have Canadians funding it. Canadians funding this insurgency network of
00:13:48.760 deranged lunatics like that woman in the car trying to impede active police investigations.
