00:01:31.140 Another ex-conservative has been added to Carney's Liberal ranks on Wednesday as now Liberal MP for
00:01:37.860 Edmonton Riverbend Matt Jenneru crossed the floor, bringing the Liberals closer to an unelected
00:01:44.900 majority government in Canada. Here's Jenneru groveling to Carney and claiming the Prime Minister's
00:01:51.900 address at Davos at the WEF conference was what pushed him to join the Liberal Party of Canada.
00:01:57.740 Well, thank you. Thank you everybody for coming here to a cold day in Edmonton, but especially you,
00:02:04.280 Prime Minister. It is a real pleasure to have you here in Edmonton. You're always welcome in Edmonton,
00:02:10.660 and we have a lot of history, both of us here in Edmonton, and it's a beautiful part of our country.
00:02:17.380 So I had announced my resignation back in November, largely due to family reasons, but quite simply
00:02:26.420 couldn't sit on the sidelines after seeing what the Prime Minister was in vicious agenda he was
00:02:33.320 undertaking across the country and across the world. And quite honestly, it was the speech in Davos where
00:02:42.040 you took everything head on. And I think for me, that's where a lot of the world changed. I think
00:02:49.020 it opened a lot of eyes for Canadians, Albertans, Edmontonians, just how serious this national
00:02:54.220 community crisis truly is. And it's, for me, it felt disingenuine and quite simply wrong to be sitting
00:03:01.260 on the sidelines anymore. So I reached out to the Prime Minister's office and we'll be joining his caucus
00:03:08.380 tonight. It couldn't be more. Excellent. Okay, so with this latest floor crossing, the Kearney Liberals are
00:03:17.020 just three seats away from getting a majority. And guess what? There are three upcoming by-elections that
00:03:22.840 happen to be in safe liberal ridings, in safe liberal areas. So it looks like the Liberals are
00:03:29.260 on their path, on their way to securing a majority government, despite not getting it from the
00:03:35.380 democratic will of the people. That was not the outcome of the 2025 election. And yet the Liberals
00:03:40.740 have found a way to eke out, possibly eke out a majority government that would allow them to stay in
00:03:46.300 power until October 2029. Juno News spoke to some of Jenneru's conservative constituents out in Edmonton
00:03:54.340 Riverbend. Oh my goodness, these people are not happy. And why would they be, right? They voted for
00:03:59.040 a conservative. They chose to mark their ballots overwhelmingly for a conservative. They did not want
00:04:05.100 the Liberals to get power. They certainly didn't want to be represented by a Liberal. So here are just
00:04:10.520 some of the reactions. He lied to us. It's unconscionable. It's a complete rejection of
00:04:15.680 democracy. He lied. He's absolutely right. Honestly, this kind of nonsense should be banned.
00:04:20.600 It undermines democracy so much to have somebody for their own callous career choices deciding that
00:04:27.800 they're going to just change the democratic will of the country. Okay, so just as a reminder to the
00:04:33.640 audience, it was back in November, November 6, 2025, Jenneru announced his intention to resign as a
00:04:40.060 member of parliament in spring 2026. So in November, he said, Hey, guys, I'm going to stop
00:04:44.980 being an MP. I'm not going to run anymore. My seats can be vacant. I need to spend more time with my
00:04:50.300 family. You know, this is like a familiar excuse. We heard it from Sean Fraser as well. I got to spend
00:04:53.800 more time with my family. And so the idea was that he was just not going to be an MP that the rumors that
00:04:58.640 he was might be flirting with the Liberals and floor crossing were untrue. Well, he said that he was
00:05:03.340 resigning. Now he's undoing that resignation saying, yeah, instead of resigning from parliament, I'm going to
00:05:07.320 stay as an MP. I'm just going to sit with the other party and I'm going to be part of Mark Carney's
00:05:11.560 liberal government. It's unbelievable that this kind of thing is even allowed or enabled in our
00:05:17.480 country. No wonder people have lost faith in some of our institutions, including our democracy. Okay,
00:05:23.060 coming up, folks, immigration minister Lena Diab opens a new immigration pathway for the Canadian
00:05:29.460 Armed Forces. It's totally insane. Plus, Daily Wire host Matt Walsh sets his sights on what he calls the
00:05:34.860 atrocities happening in Canada. But first, there was just an unbelievable moment on television
00:05:40.720 yesterday at the CBC. Rosemary Barton, their chief political correspondent, accidentally said the truth.
00:05:45.980 There was a hot mic moment. So she was providing some taxpayer-funded analysis about how, oh, you know,
00:05:52.040 maybe people in Edmonton actually just love the Liberals now. And that's the real reason Matt
00:05:55.320 Jenneru switched and crossed the floor, because people in Alberta just love the Liberals now. It was
00:06:00.780 total nonsense. Just total nonsense. And then it cuts away. And you could hear Rosemary Barton. Like
00:06:06.480 they left her mic on accidentally. They went to a press conference with Melanie Jolie, but they forgot
00:06:11.300 to switch the audio. So Rosemary Barton thought that she was off the air, but her mic was still on.
00:06:18.080 And what did she say to people around her? Oh, it's all made up anyway. She just admitted
00:06:21.140 that everything she says is BS and it's just all total nonsense. So you're going to have to listen to the

00:06:35.920 are kind of warming up to the prime minister because he has taken markedly different positions
00:06:41.380 on issues that matter to them, whether it be energy development or climate change measures that he's
00:06:46.720 backed off on. So maybe Mr. Jenneru feels like his writing is starting to move in that direction as well.

00:07:21.660 finally being honest with Canadians because that is the truth. Look, I'm going to give
00:07:25.360 you some of my own analysis on this because it looked pretty obvious that we were heading
00:07:29.360 towards a 2026 election. I think that that has changed now, right? So I told Kian Bexty,
00:07:34.580 Kian Bexty and I talked about it in our last fireside chat, that I predicted that Canada was
00:07:38.600 going to go to the polls in 2026, probably in the spring. All the signs were pointing to
00:07:42.960 that way, right? Like the Liberals gave this grocery rebate, which is really just bribing
00:07:47.540 taxpayers with their own money. Assure a sign that a government is looking to head to the
00:07:52.080 polls. You know, you saw the trade language and back and forth with President Trump heating
00:07:58.600 up. That is exactly what the Liberals need to run on in order to win. So I thought that
00:08:02.500 Carney would take the opportunity before the NDP picked its leader to just try to get that
00:08:07.560 majority government. And that would have been very bad news for Pierre Polyev. If there was
00:08:10.980 an election, if there still might be, but if there's an election in the next few months,
00:08:14.720 I think it's pretty obvious that Pierre Polyev will lose. He hasn't been able to distinguish
00:08:18.580 himself enough from Mark Carney. Mark Carney has his number at this point. If Pierre Polyev
00:08:23.560 loses another election, his political career is over. He's done, right? And so Matt Jenneru
00:08:29.200 crossing the floor and giving Liberals a pathway to a majority, it's terrible for the country.
00:08:34.320 I'll admit that. It's terrible for the country. But it gives the Conservatives time to
00:08:38.320 regroup. Time for Pierre Polyev to find his stride, find a better line of attack against
00:08:43.500 Mark Carney and really grow into the role of Prime Minister in the eyes of Canadians.
00:08:47.640 So I think Pierre Polyev might have dodged a bullet. I don't think that Carney would be so
00:08:53.500 silly as to force an election when he can actually get what he wants done with what he has. It's
00:08:59.180 really undemocratic. Canadians hate this stuff, which again is good for the Conservatives because
00:09:03.640 they'll start to see the Liberals more how they are, which is just like totally callous, willing
00:09:09.420 to do whatever it takes for power, willing to undermine all of our institutions, willing to lie
00:09:13.700 to Canadians. All this stuff is true and it will come out. And in the long run, they will be exposed
00:09:19.060 for it. In the short run, we might have to endure another term of a Liberal government. All right,
00:09:24.160 let's get back to the news. So the Carney Liberals will now be offering foreigners a permanent
00:09:29.500 residency track if they're hired by the Canadian Armed Forces. So we now have to outsource our
00:09:35.180 military. We need to grow our military. We need to be able to defend ourselves if we're going to become
00:09:39.100 an anti-American country, which apparently is the direction we're heading under Mark Carney. But we
00:09:44.380 don't have enough interest because our military is so woke, because of the garbage that they push,
00:09:48.140 because they're obsessed with calling Canada a racist country and saying that we're built on systemic
00:09:52.940 racism. So no one wants to join the military because it's so defeated and this mindset is so toxic.
00:09:59.660 So we're just going to import our military. This is really unbelievable. Here is the announcement
00:10:04.700 from Liberal Immigration Minister Lina Dyab on Wednesday.
00:10:07.900 And finally, we are creating a new category for skilled military recruits to attract highly skilled
00:10:16.300 foreign military applicants. Eligible recruits with a job offer from the Canadian Armed Forces,
00:10:24.380 including doctors, nurses, pilots, can be invited to apply for permanent residence. They will be subject
00:10:32.460 to the same security and all military requirements. This new category will support our government's
00:10:40.300 commitment to strengthen our armed forces, to defend our sovereignty, and to keep Canadians safe.
00:10:50.140 This category and other priority categories supports Canada's defense industrial strategy,
00:10:56.940 which Prime Minister Carney announced yesterday by adding a range of workers critical to support our
00:11:05.420 sovereignty and security. Now, some online raise security concerns over, I don't know,
00:11:10.460 communist Chinese personnel having pathways to integrate and infiltrate into our military. It's
00:11:17.340 really just bizarre. In January, while in Beijing, Carney said there will be future opportunities for a
00:11:22.460 strategic partnership between Canada and China, including on national security. What is happening
00:11:28.300 to our country? What are we doing? Here is what that sounded like with Carney.
00:11:33.180 This sets the stage for these important discussions on a wide range of issues where we can be strategic
00:11:41.660 partners. From energy to agriculture, to people to people ties, to multilateralism, to issues on
00:11:52.620 security. Now, speaking at a press conference in Calgary, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said that
00:11:58.140 the current pace of population growth is unsustainable. It is straining housing, healthcare, schools and
00:12:05.100 jobs. This is absolutely right. I'm so glad that we have really helped spark this conversation on how our
00:12:09.900 immigration systems just heading in the wrong direction. Anyway, here is Premier Danielle
00:12:14.140 Smith making this point on Wednesday. Part of our budget challenges, number one, is on the revenue
00:12:19.980 side that we've seen a decline in our revenues as a result of WTI trending below $60 for most of the year
00:12:27.020 when we need $74. But at the same time, our expenses have been growing faster than our revenue growth.
00:12:34.060 And part of that is we've had the fastest growing population in Canada, adding 600,000 new people in
00:12:41.500 the last four years alone. I think there's only one country in the world that has exceeded the level
00:12:46.220 of population growth that Canada has had. And so this clearly needs to change. This is not sustainable.
00:12:52.860 And it should be noted that this is all in light of Alberta's kind of shocking changing
00:12:56.940 demographics that are happening. There was a report earlier this week, they released the top baby names
00:13:02.060 in Alberta. It's like a cute, great little tradition where you get to see what are the top trending
00:13:06.220 baby names. A little shocking that Mohammed is the number one name. There's various spellings
00:13:11.340 across different way. When you add up all the different spellings of Mohammed, it is the number
00:13:15.660 one baby name in Alberta. A little bit concerning there. Okay, folks, switching gears a little bit.
00:13:21.660 Some of the biggest American political voices, including Matt Walsh and Tim Pool, have come out
00:13:27.420 urging President Trump to take action against Canada after learning about the shocking news
00:13:32.620 story, something that Juneau News has been covering for a while, the state killing of a 26 year old,
00:13:37.980 a healthy 26 year old, Keanu Vafian, who had a history of seasonal depression and was losing his
00:13:45.340 vision. So as Juneau News reported in January, sadly, this man was killed by the government through our
00:13:51.660 despicable maid program. This doctor who the mother of this boy of this young man called Dr. Death
00:13:57.900 Number Two, Dr. Eileen Weeb approved her son's death based on mental illness, despite the family
00:14:03.980 successfully stopping previous attempts to euthanize this young man because he had seasonal depressions.
00:14:10.060 So unbelievable what we do. So the UK's Daily Mail interviewed his parents again with an article
00:14:16.060 coming out on Tuesday that was going viral online. Matt Walsh and Tim Pool both reacted to it. So here
00:14:21.580 is what Matt Walsh had to say. He said, I'm not being at all ironic when I say there is a better
00:14:27.260 argument for invading and overthrowing the Canadian regime than there is for invading and overthrowing
00:14:32.060 anyone else. This is a country committing unspeakable atrocities right next door. Matt Walsh went on by
00:14:38.860 saying in Canada, they euthanize physically healthy young adults. They castrate and sterilize children.
00:14:46.300 They burn down churches. They commit taxpayer-funded infanticide of fully developed infants in the
00:14:52.700 womb. Why shouldn't we count them among the most evil regimes on the planet? Not a rhetorical question.
00:14:58.780 So really, these are some of the issues that we talk about all the time here at General News.
00:15:03.260 It is, I completely agree with Matt Walsh and I think it's sad and pathetic that even our conservative
00:15:07.660 party in this country won't touch most of these issues. They don't want anything to do with it. In fact,
00:15:11.180 they'd rather just go along and vote in favor of Bill C-4, which banned, you know, a gender-confused
00:15:18.140 child from even talking to a therapist as banned in Canada because of the conservatives. Same thing
00:15:22.540 with late-term abortions with Pierre Polyev endorsed that during the last election. So it's interesting
00:15:28.380 to hear American conservatives jumping in on these issues. Thursday morning, Matt Walsh added that
00:15:33.340 euthanasia is one of the leading causes of death in Canada. He said, 5% of all deaths in the country
00:15:39.100 are from doctor-assisted suicide and many of them are not even terminally ill. People get sick or
00:15:45.180 depressed and Canada just puts them down like stray dogs. It's insane. It's pure evil. It gets even worse
00:15:50.540 than that, Matt Walsh, because the numbers are really shocking. The people who use this program,
00:15:55.420 who use MAID, it's almost universally what you'd call old stock Canadians or white Canadians. Like 95%
00:16:01.020 of these deaths are against white Canadians. It's just really unspeakable and tragic. So Tim Poole,
00:16:06.620 another conservative commentator with a huge audience down in the U.S., had this to say.
00:16:11.100 This is probably one of the most shocking stories that has been developing over the past few years
00:16:17.180 with no resolution in sight. And I'm going to start this video by saying the Trump administration
00:16:22.620 should immediately shut down the border with Canada until they abolish their medical assistance
00:16:29.180 in dying program as it stands. Now, I will admit, I don't know the full details of literally
00:16:34.780 everything going on in Canada, but I will say this. If what we're reading is true and the stories that
00:16:39.500 we're hearing are true, the Trump administration should immediately shut down trade with Canada and
00:16:45.660 say, I mean, I mean, sanctions. The stories that we have been hearing, Canada is executing sick and
00:16:53.900 depressed individuals, young people, a 26 year old euthanized by the Canadian government. I don't know
00:17:01.660 why we're doing business with these people. This is evil. This is all true. And guys, it's really sad
00:17:08.380 that we need American voices to amplify the truest and the sickest problems in our country when our
00:17:15.100 political class remain just completely silent or actually in favor of some of these sick policies.
