In 2016, he was one of the most prominent liberal voices in American politics. In this episode, we look at how he got young people to vote for Trump and why they should vote for him.

00:00:00.000 and we have a compilation here that shows generally how charlie kirk talked to young people

00:00:07.760 let's watch i want to try to win you over as a liberal for donald trump so you're going to give 0.61

00:00:12.080 me a chance okay i will sir all right okay there are three things i want you to think about when

00:00:16.720 voting for trump number one home ownership i imagine you want to own a home sometime in your

00:00:20.400 life right yes sir all right in order to own a home you would have to make 125 000 a year right

00:00:24.800 now just to be able to get the mortgage when trump was president it was 75 000 a year because kamala

00:00:30.400 harris and joe biden have spent six to seven trillion dollars of unnecessary federal spending

00:00:35.360 which have inflated asset prices as a liberal i imagine you don't like war right under donald

00:00:39.920 trump it was the first president in 40 years we had no new wars so which way you leaning can i

00:00:45.760 get a hit that's a good answer everybody do me a favor please be respectful okay tell me more about

00:00:52.560 how you view politics or what? Is that okay? Or if not, feel free to walk away. Maybe not in this

00:00:59.760 crowd. That's okay. Thank you. What's your name? My name is Archer. Archer, thank you for coming

00:01:03.560 up, and I hope you have a great day. Thank you so much. Thank you for clarifying. And let me just

00:01:06.260 say one last thing. I could tell you probably have a negative impression of Christianity, maybe.

00:01:10.780 I hope one day we can earn back your support. I'm sorry if the church has failed you in that way.

00:01:15.440 I do appreciate the candor and the courage to come up here, but we will pray for you. Thank you.

00:01:20.180 I go around universities and have challenging conversations, because that's what is so important to our country, is to find our disagreements respectfully, because when people stop talking, that's when violence happens.

00:01:34.620 He really said it right there. And the response, so folks know we're not showing the footage. So don't worry about that. You can keep watching this show and you're not going to get surprised with that.

00:01:45.960 He really said it there. And after what happened, happened, you could see statement after statement coming out from everyone. We saw opposition leader Pierre Polyev come out right away condemning this act of violence.

00:02:03.660 We saw Premier Daniel Smith. We saw Premier Wab Kanu talking about this. Stateside, we had everybody from U.S. President Donald Trump to Gavin Newsom, Barack Obama talking about this.

00:02:17.020 So, Kirk did so much grassroots kind of sign up and get out there activism that he's wound up touching a lot of normal people and getting them engaged in politics.

00:02:31.920 Now, you cannot want to sign up for the Republicans. That's obviously not what this is about. This was about someone who was using his voice in order to have conversations with young people and get them engaged. And you could picture someone who's trying to do it for a different party or for a different purpose, who's out there, microphone in hand, freedom t-shirt on.
