One of the big issues for us at the True North Initiative has always been immigration in Canada,
00:00:05.060
wanting a policy-based approach to immigration, but one that doesn't really resort to,
00:00:10.700
I think what you described very accurately this past summer, which is cult of diversity and very
00:00:16.140
forced and contrived diversity. And I'm wondering why that issue has become so contentious in
00:00:22.520
Canada, because you were speaking the truth on a lot of issues, and I didn't find anything I
00:00:27.480
disagreed with about it, but you were still subjected to the name-calling of the racism and
00:00:32.660
the xenophobia and all of these other isms. Why is that that that issue has become so powerful in
00:00:39.440
that space? I think, first of all, because we are the only party who speak for less immigration,
00:00:46.220
and as you know, we're against mass immigration. And Justin Trudeau and the Conservative Party of
00:00:52.480
Canada, Andrew Scheer and the NDP, they're all asking for more immigrants. So I think the press
00:00:59.280
and everybody is used to having more and more immigrants every year, and when you have a political
00:01:03.960
party like our party, the People's Party of Canada, we are questioning that. That can be a surprise for
00:01:10.300
everybody. But I think we are in line with 49 percent of the population, because 49 percent of the
00:01:17.000
population, they want less immigration in Canada. They want to be sure that people who are coming
00:01:22.520
here, they will integrate to our society, they will participate to our society. So, and I'm very proud
00:01:29.960
to have that position, and we'll see what will happen. But what we, and we're very serious about it,
00:01:35.560
because we were saying for the last couple of months that we must have less immigrants. About the
00:01:41.640
average that we had under the upper government, 250,000 new immigrants a year. And like that,
00:01:49.320
we'll be able to integrate them. And so that's our position. But, you know, it's too bad that some
00:01:54.280
people are saying that maybe we, and personally, I'm a racist because of that. I think it's, first of all,
00:02:02.360
it's not true. But it is not helping the cause. We need to have a real debate about immigration.
00:02:11.640
Since age 1 and 2, it's not coming to my office, we may have to take all of that immigration in a vector.
00:02:20.220
But there's a democraticgence that has mothers in Canada.
00:02:23.320
And, to remember, are we most likely to have good news in a speaker about immigration in the language aboutойтиre
00:02:36.900
So let's try getting those modifications in their besondere planners.
