00:00:23.000diversity teacher training materials. The freedom of information documents uncovered that the board
00:00:27.940awarded sole source contracts to anti-hate activist Bernie Farber and the Canadian Anti-Hate
00:00:34.200Network, also known as Khan. The records show Bernie Farber was paid nearly $14,000 to provide
00:00:40.040workshops on anti-Semitism and anti-oppression. And this follows Juno News reporting that another
00:00:46.640Ontario board, this time the York Region District School Board, also paid Bernie Farber $39,000
00:00:52.000over a similar period for the same training. The Ottawa-Carleton board disclosure also shows that
00:00:57.620the Canadian Anti-Hate Network received $12,000 over three invoices to provide anti-hate training
00:01:03.280for staff, administrators, and trustees. And three months before the first Ottawa Carleton
00:01:07.960School Board contract, Liberal MP Ahmed Hussain announced that the Feds gave Cannes more than
00:01:14.100a quarter of a million dollars to develop an anti-hate toolkit for Canadian schools.
00:01:18.620That's the same toolkit sole-sourced by the board, effectively making taxpayers pay twice
00:01:23.740for the same product. The documents describe Khan as an organization that works to quote
00:01:29.200infiltrate and expose hate ideologies and help institutions stop recruitment by hate groups
00:01:35.600except these methods have gotten the group in trouble. Following an attempt to sue Canadian
00:01:40.720journalist John Kay for defamation after he said Khan wore Antifa a judge ruled that Khan quote
00:01:47.020did in fact assist members of the far-left activist movement Antifa in an Ontario court in
00:01:52.8202022, long before the board sole sourced Khan for anti-hate training. Internal government memos
00:01:59.740obtained by Blacklock's reporter questioned Khan's political bias and raised concerns about
00:02:04.620the organization's role in, quote, spurring greater polarization. The FOI disclosure included a 75
00:02:11.660slide presentation focused on historical antisemitism, the Holocaust, Holocaust denial,
00:02:17.440conspiracy theories, far-right extremism, the usual stuff that you see, and there was a few
00:02:22.120slides at the end discussing things like anti-Zionism, BDS, and the anti-Israel activism.
00:02:28.140Sadly, I didn't obtain any of the Khan training materials in this particular disclosure.
00:02:32.840Farber co-founded the Canadian Anti-Hate Network and served as its chair until 2023,
00:02:38.320and his co-presenter for the training, Len Rudner, who was let go from his 15-year
00:02:42.700position at the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, also sat on Khan's advisory committee.
