In this episode, we discuss why women have not been in positions of power for as long as there have been men in power, and why this is the case. Why have women not been placed in those positions? Is it because we don't have enough data, or is it because men are just better at it than women?

00:00:00.000 i think it really depends to be honest with you on um so women haven't been put in certain positions 0.54
00:00:06.000 to be able to have enough data for us to be like oh you make considerably better decisions than
00:00:10.880 men or worse they just haven't been put in those positions before why have they not been put in
00:00:14.560 those positions for multitude of reasons um such as mandem being mandem stay in a woman's place 1.00
00:00:22.160 prime example they can only be like wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait so you're suggesting
00:00:28.560 that the reason that women aren't in significant positions of power i'm not suggesting that so are 1.00
00:00:33.840 you so you just said that because of to quote yourself i said i said the reason why both of
00:00:39.600 them are it's possible i don't know we said that women don't have enough data available 1.00
00:00:43.520 careful brothers four girls
00:00:49.440 the question i'm trying to ask is are you i correct me if i'm wrong but it sounds like
00:00:54.640 you're kind of going along the lines of patriarchy is that what you're saying no no so long story
00:01:00.960 short i'm saying we don't have enough data on both ends of both people doing the same amount of things
00:01:06.720 to be able to be like this person does better than the other so for example if we had as many dictators
00:01:12.160 as we did male dictators as we did women yeah we could therefore be like all right cool let's come in
00:01:16.480 the middle and we can say this person did better as opposed to they killed more people wait wait no
00:01:21.840 not because they killed more people but because it could be because they did better no no it could
00:01:26.240 be because they they just did better for their community it could literally just be that survival
00:01:30.400 exactly it could be you know you you put something in place for your community in order for them to
00:01:37.120 gain so much benefits like seven to 70 years down the line but let's say for example um
00:01:43.680 um we look at war if we had as many women in war as we did men perpetuating the war
00:01:50.960 and we brought it together we could be like all right cool well we can genuinely tell that
00:01:55.440 this person is better at strategy than the other one but we just don't have enough
00:01:59.360 data to be ever hold on hold on i'm gonna fact check you right there uh women have actually waged 1.00
00:02:03.120 more in history uh women women are more likely to wage war than men okay and that's based off of 1.00
00:02:09.200 the data set that we have that is men typically tend to be in positions of power more even with
00:02:14.720 men in power more women are still more likely to wage war so what i would suggest is that we look at
00:02:21.200 the situation we're in which is that men are in significant positions of power more than women 0.81
00:02:26.640 why is that is it because of this idea of a patriarchy and that men have oppressed women and that's
00:02:33.680 and that women have just been told to keep in their place and that's why men in positions of power 0.78
00:02:37.840 or is it that men are just better at it but we again we can't make that judgment because we
00:02:43.520 haven't had enough of a sample sample to be able to say that again how long have we give an example
00:02:51.920 we've had maybe a hundred men i'm just throwing numbers out there we've had maybe a hundred men
00:02:56.880 be in mad amount of positions of power and run countries amazingly we've only had a select number
00:03:02.560 of women be in a position of power and everything that they do might be 1.00
00:03:08.240 really and that's what that's why i'm saying it's difficult right now that are telling women you
00:03:15.520 might be drawn to go to war what obviously i don't i don't want to get into that i believe in equal
00:03:21.600 rights because you lot fought for it but i'm not trying to get into that equal rights i'm sorry
00:03:24.400 women should not be going to war no no you don't you don't know you don't want equal rights so 1.00
00:03:29.200 so we're going to be equal women are we need to we need to say conflict but yeah in in general 0.99
00:03:35.680 you have to understand this the way i'm seeing it i'm seeing in just just a graphical graphical
00:03:39.280 situation in general of course men have been in multiple positions of power which means
00:03:44.080 anyone cause one second one second anyone that messes up the stat is not going to be the same 0.99
00:03:49.520 do you see i'm saying if a hundred men do do a madness and ten percent of the man then fuck up 0.70
00:03:54.880 as opposed to 10 10 women be in the same situation and one woman up or two women 0.98
00:03:59.920 up bro that's 20 as opposed to 10 we just don't we just don't have enough
00:04:08.560 i said 100 i said 100 men 10 getting it wrong that's 10 men yeah if we have 10 women and 20
00:04:14.880 getting it wrong that's two the percentage is likely to be higher so what i'm trying to what i'm trying
00:04:20.320 to say to you is the reason why i don't want to say one side or the other it's just we just don't
00:04:23.680 have enough data to be able to say it i believe that there's been women in power that have done 1.00
00:04:27.280 absolutely amazing and we could see other women that are in those same situations that do amazing
00:04:32.000 things but there's a reason we don't have enough yeah but you see majority of fights that happen in
00:04:36.160 you know to challenge you to challenge you on that point the problem with your point is that you're
00:04:41.840 looking at it from a very recent point of view true so how many years do you think human beings have
00:04:47.440 existed on the face of the earth a lot right like probably hundreds of thousands of years so for most
00:04:55.600 part for most part of that time it's only like very it's only a very small percentage of that time that
00:05:02.560 we've seen modern society right so most of the way human beings behave today is not based on this our
00:05:10.640 new way of living in our new technological society is actually based on thousands of years of evolution
00:05:17.600 now based off of that men and women operate not because of oppression or because women need to stay in
00:05:23.200 their leanings because of this is how human beings have actually had to be to survive so if they
00:05:28.800 are not women in power it's not because men don't want women to be in power it's because women have 1.00
00:05:33.120 not been able to be in power i never said that men didn't want them to be in power i'm just saying
00:05:36.800 we just don't have so meaning no meaning men have been the more competent ones to be in power
00:05:44.000 it's not but we take everything over so of course we're going to be exactly but isn't that
00:05:48.320 that is why we are the ones that are more likely to be in power because we take everything
00:05:51.840 but bro being able to take something over doesn't mean you're good to to lead it no
00:05:54.960 that's why i'm saying but that's the problem you don't have enough data but that's the problem
00:05:58.080 how can you defend how can you lead something you can't defend
00:06:04.640 that's true fair enough so if you have an ideology the only way for your ideology to fly is if you are
00:06:11.760 willing to stand with your life and defend it the problem with today's society is women claim they have 1.00
00:06:16.720 all this right way of thinking and these ideologies but they cannot even defend it themselves they still need
00:06:21.520 men to defend their ideologies do you see what just happened there a brother gave me some some knowledge
00:06:29.280 and i conceded on the point because i just recognized that he was correct
00:06:34.480 i feel like we need to have some more accountability
00:06:38.080 nah he's right he's right fair enough romeo can women make good decisions 0.98
00:06:42.880 can women make good decisions it depends on the type of woman 1.00
00:06:48.800 what does it depend on um her intelligence and what she's what she's got to to give you know um 1.00
00:06:58.640 all women are different as you can see there's we've got these only fans women we've got in general
00:07:04.240 oh in general that wasn't the question you asked me though okay who makes better decisions men or
00:07:15.360 women there we go there we go um men overall right so i'm gonna ask the original question again minus the
00:07:24.640 feminine context can women generally as a majority the female species do we make good decisions 1.00
00:07:33.200 you can do at times yeah not the majority of the time do we make good decisions no
00:07:41.040 why not no why why do you say no um i think there's a and again i feel like women kind of 0.99
00:07:48.320 i feel like women kind of play into this you you guys are a bit in a bubble it's like
00:07:55.360 your your like your friends your brethren's give you terrible advice if i'm being honest yeah your
00:08:00.560 brethren's will give you terrible advice but weren't you the same guy talking about accountability a
00:08:04.160 couple of minutes ago yeah exactly so what's the advice got to do with it if you're accountable for
00:08:08.560 your own actions but women aren't accountable for their own actions and that's the point fair enough 1.00
00:08:12.240 there we go
