00:00:00.000 this week there was a tweet that erupted twitter all right this tweet had all the women mad on the 1.00
00:00:08.260 right and the left it had the men mad and the tweet was um can you pull up the one
00:00:15.280 the original one i sent you the the mar the brad pratt one so it had do you guys know who margot
00:00:25.700 robbie is yes okay so there was a tweet that said despite years of complaining about unrealistic
00:00:32.560 beauty standards the most talked about movie of the year is of two insanely hot people and it had
00:00:39.760 a picture of barbie okay and margot robbie's the star and in barbie so but someone quote tweeted
00:00:47.060 that and said margot robbie was cast in barbie explicitly because she wasn't pretty enough
00:00:53.300 to alienate a female audience and this erupted twitter because they felt like they were just
00:01:03.160 dogging on her looks they felt like um and then there was a a bunch of people who basically were
00:01:10.760 calling margot robbie mid so my question to you is what would you rate margot robbie one to ten
00:01:17.180 we're going to show her picture in a second can you pull it up king
00:01:21.120 margot robbie one to ten
00:01:28.680 in this photo or just in general in general in general i'd give her a 10 but probably in this
00:01:36.260 photo i god you can tell there's just like so much post-production on it she doesn't actually
00:01:41.400 look real but then she's not trying to just can you can you just google her too and we can just show
00:01:45.660 some other pictures but like day to day i would say yeah she's a good solid nine nine nine ten 0.94
00:01:52.320 yeah i haven't seen her before but from what i'm looking at she looks okay um she's definitely
00:02:00.420 someone the industry uses as like a beauty standard yeah
00:02:03.720 i would say seven seven i'll give her like a 1.00
00:02:14.300 eight point two five eight point two what do you think yeah she's a ten ten eight eight she's a 1.00
00:02:22.540 strong nine nine yeah definitely okay but my question is this why can men not criticize a
00:02:29.500 woman's looks without erupting the internet
00:02:33.200 or going in order yeah anyone can just i would say because
00:02:41.440 women's looks are known to be a important factor and something that they can often be sensitive about 1.00
00:02:49.240 i think societally it's a little bit taboo to speak about and can come across offensive and
00:02:57.060 you know as they say misogynistic so but if we but if we like criticize a guy's looks nobody cares
00:03:03.040 like if i called leonardo dicaprio mid no one would care that's true you know what i mean but he's the
00:03:08.620 one dating all the models but nobody would care yeah yeah i think it's because men uh society knows
00:03:14.620 men personally don't put as much of as an emphasis on their own looks it's not as much of a factor um
00:03:20.820 maybe in their confidence you could say that it's a little bit easier to to make fun of them versus
00:03:28.660 women it's like be careful you don't want to hurt her feelings what do you guys think
00:03:34.980 um me personally i feel like yeah females females in general are emotional beings i think that's fair 1.00
00:03:45.480 to say and i don't feel like it's a man's place to even speak on um the looks or if they feel like
00:03:53.020 a woman's like overly attractive especially on social media i think that's it's a bit of a low blow 1.00
00:03:57.400 um so do women speak on if men are attractive on social media absolutely so why does one gender 0.99
00:04:07.440 get to do it and not the other privilege yeah privilege definitely women privilege no but you're saying
00:04:12.500 you but i'm asking you because you said you don't think men should comment on women's looks
00:04:16.480 but i'm saying if the women are doing it why can't the men it's just it's taboo isn't it yeah yeah it's 0.58
00:04:23.980 just like one of the it's like an unspoken rule but it shouldn't be what's what one rule for one
00:04:31.920 and another rule for another it shouldn't be that way too like imagine have you ever heard like um
00:04:37.820 short man syndrome yeah like what if what if they had small tits syndrome we can't do that you know 0.95
00:04:45.500 what do you what do you think dimitri there's so much to unpack here i mean how deep do we want to
00:04:51.320 delve into this go go go deep oh man okay so this is this is actually there's quite a lot of
00:04:56.200 interesting stuff here so um i was reading some studies i'm doing a book called the book of shame
00:04:59.740 where i'm literally putting together um 300 and sorry 403 no 304 304 um putting together 304
00:05:08.780 studies that sort of outline the difference between virtue signaling and actual outcomes in
00:05:13.620 society and one thing of course we all already know is that what we say and what we think are
00:05:17.580 not the same thing one very basic example of that like i did a clip where it's like the most
00:05:22.300 discriminated group when you look at across any group for like controlled for race and looks and
00:05:26.800 age and everything the most discriminated group by far are short men and it's not close like short
00:05:31.460 men have the highest suicide rates short men have the highest um rates of of of drinking and binge
00:05:36.740 drinking highest depression uh lowest income etc etc etc and i'm not saying that like short men can be
00:05:42.280 successful i think they can and should be it's more so that we just know the outcomes for short men
00:05:46.980 are terrible short men also are vastly underrepresented in the sexual marketplace like women are just not 1.00
00:05:50.940 picking them in fact when you look at like the searches right this is just numbers like you look at
00:05:54.780 on search on um what is that the dating app everybody's using nowadays bumble whatever
00:06:00.420 oh women filter out yeah six under six foot tall to show up in less than 15 percent of searches so 1.00
00:06:06.140 they don't even get they don't even get looked at i was thinking about that i'm like i if i was a
00:06:10.800 short guy i would just lie on the dating apps i understand why they do it because i'm like women 1.00
00:06:14.820 lie with the filters right lie with the makeup so i'm like if i was a guy i would lie on make it even do
00:06:21.280 it too right well and so so the question is like okay so then why do we make it taboo so there's
00:06:25.980 there's a few steps here why it is so so um virtue signaling is actually like a very well-known mating
00:06:31.400 tactic uh applied by both men and women the way that men virtue signal is they become more altruistic
00:06:36.180 around women they perceive to be beautiful so when you have like a charity event men will give more
00:06:39.840 money when a beautiful woman's in the room it's been tested it's been shown many many times over
00:06:43.760 women virtue signal purity so women will drop hints that they're sexually pure despite the fact that they 1.00
00:06:48.880 might tell you on this podcast like oh it doesn't matter how many guys you sleep with but but when
00:06:54.060 you actually look at women's behavior and women's and and how they they express their behavior they
00:06:57.820 always express their behavior as being sexually cleaner than their actual behavior this is not
00:07:02.000 conjecture this is studied and this is true right so why not why not say about a woman blah blah blah 0.89
00:07:07.520 well very simply uh because a woman's value is implicitly determined by how attractive she is to
00:07:13.500 potential mates and the way that we know this there's a really cool study about this
00:07:16.740 is they did a study on how good are women and men at perceiving the beauty of other women
00:07:21.160 so they gave uh really yes and so and so what they found is men consistently pick the same women as
00:07:27.000 being beautiful women are highly cognizant and extremely good at identifying which women are
00:07:31.740 beautiful to other men and the women that are most beautiful to other men when they are in the room
00:07:36.760 women become derogatory towards the most beautiful women wow yes because they want to undermine and what 1.00
00:07:42.000 they do is they undermine her chastity and her purity she's like oh she's a slut she's this and that 1.00
00:07:46.000 and the reason they're saying is because they want to relative so women compete relatively with each 1.00
00:07:50.520 other as well and so they undermine the sexual market value of other women in the room 1.00
00:07:53.500 in order to elevate themselves she's hot she must be a whore right exactly so that's what we'll do 1.00
00:07:58.380 right and by the way you never see guys do this right it's like oh that guy's a piece of crap like 0.99
00:08:01.960 guys don't do that because it comes off as inherently feminine so guys don't compete like that we compete 0.98
00:08:05.440 physically much more direct now here's what's interesting when men were asked to raid the attractiveness 1.00
00:08:10.140 of other men men are notoriously bad at at at actualizing like which other men are attractive
00:08:16.440 to women and it's very easy to prove because like i can talk to a news or any other guys here i can say 0.67
00:08:20.440 look guys have you ever seen a guy that consistently gets beautiful women and you're like how does he do
00:08:24.300 that pete davidson right yeah so we go like what the hell so men are actually very bad at perceiving 0.94
00:08:30.220 the attractiveness of other men to women so we might we might think that guy's a loser but he's getting 0.98
00:08:34.580 all the chicks like what's going on right well because is it because men are more logical no so 1.00
00:08:39.860 like but like women we pick based off of emotions a lot of the time no it's no it's well obviously
00:08:45.620 that's true but also but but it's more so to do the fact that men compete on status so it's like so
00:08:49.940 but the question is like so why can't we uh objectively say something about a woman and the 0.74
00:08:54.160 answer is very clear and here it is it's because we all know like we look at margot robbie we can play
00:08:58.940 the game like she's a 7.8 it's like dude she's literally she played sharon tate and once upon a time in
00:09:03.720 hollywood who was the standard of beauty for like two generations she's literally like you might say 1.00
00:09:08.360 she's not your type whatever but objectively find a woman that's objectively more beautiful good luck
