JustPearlyThings - Pearl Calls Out Fat Chick

00:00:00.000 I saw this video that came up on my timeline and it was of a woman playing guitar talking about

00:00:06.760 what it was like being an overweight kid and it was by a woman that very clearly was in the body

00:00:11.180 positivity movement and I kind of hated myself a little bit when I saw it because the song

00:00:16.680 was so retarded it was so retarded but it actually kind of slapped she was kind of good 0.99

00:00:23.140 I was like I I hate myself that I kind of like this song but let's let's play it 0.53

00:00:30.000 my grandma paid me by the pound said I should try to slim it down went to meetings with my mom

00:00:42.880 the less I ate the more they applauded being hungry made me feel so proud

00:00:51.940 still not full yet ten years old

00:00:59.140 didn't know why to hate myself

00:01:04.820 till I learned it from someone else

00:01:08.860 didn't see what was wrong with me

00:01:12.100 just lived in my body 0.99

00:01:15.700 did my best to lose the weight hoping the hurt would go away but damn skinny feels just the same 0.99

00:01:27.580 I'll always carry it in my body 0.91

00:01:34.660 okay so I was doing the math in this and she she says that she was paid to lose weight five dollars 1.00

00:01:44.180 by the pound you know it's so funny you tell a man that he's gonna he's gonna start calculating

00:01:51.700 that's 50 bucks for 10 pounds and she's got a lot of weight to lose that you can make a good chunk of 1.00

00:01:57.620 change off of losing weight and it's interesting because what I can see here is the difference between

00:02:03.460 men versus women when women are held accountable for poor choices they tend to victimize themselves 0.98

00:02:09.700 and play the victim when really what I saw was an opportunity in this situation you can make like

00:02:15.060 I mean she could lose like 50 pounds that that's that's like 250 bucks that's good money you know and 1.00

00:02:21.620 and the thing is she puts herself in this victim mentality as if her parents were doing this because

00:02:28.100 they didn't want her to love herself and she would just happily love her body if they didn't do that 0.95

00:02:34.740 and it's not true because what would happen is she would be big in the future like she is now and the 0.70

00:02:40.740 world would tell her very quickly that she is overweight I'm sorry but when you are overweight 0.99

00:02:46.740 the world does not hide that from you they let you know really fast um and it would show in her

00:02:53.460 life outcomes it's going to be harder to date it's going to be harder to play sports if you want to

00:02:57.940 it's going to be harder to walk and you're going to have health issues the rest of your life her

00:03:02.900 parents were trying to do the right thing and the issue is you get the body positivity movement coming in

00:03:09.220 and coddling these women and saying oh you poor victims your parents were abusive and you would

00:03:15.780 have just loved yourself if they didn't do that and so they'll put the blame on the parents and

00:03:21.300 really what what is a parent's job it's to give kids consequences for their actions before the world

00:03:28.500 does if you go around being an the world will let you know sooner rather than later so your parents

00:03:34.740 job is to fix the problem before you are on your own and have to deal with it the rest of your life

00:03:40.980 because whether she likes it or not she's going to have health issues and it becomes a matter of life 0.69

00:03:46.580 and death does she want to end her life at 45 50 because of a heart attack or does she want to live

00:03:52.420 a long happy healthy life so mr based responds to this and he says victimizing yourself because your 0.97

00:03:59.060 parents wanted you to lose weight is pathetic and it is pathetic in life there's two kinds of people the 0.80

00:04:05.380 people that can take criticism and learn from it or the people that will victimize themselves for a 0.98

00:04:11.540 lifetime and in this situation she could have lost weight taking the 250 bucks which 20 years ago was 1.00

00:04:18.420 a lot of money that you know it's still a good chunk of change now but think about what that was

00:04:24.020 like 15 or i don't know was she in her 30s so 10 years ago 15 years ago that was a good chunk of change

00:04:30.420 like i can't even i mean back then when you said you had 250 bucks you were rich especially like in

00:04:35.860 high school and that's my point is the body positivity movement coddles women and allows 1.00

00:04:41.620 them to believe that you are victims and if you believe you are a victim you will be one whether

00:04:47.540 you like it or not and the truth is the world doesn't owe you understanding and it doesn't owe you any

00:04:52.500 special favors so life is going to hit her in the face and it's going to be harder because she's hungry

00:04:58.340 and it's funny because one of the lyrics was she's not full yet i'm like clearly like

00:05:04.740 i mean you're huge what the it's like she's like she's like walking around like a big bull you know 1.00

00:05:13.060 and she's like i'm not full yet i'm like obviously i'll say i'll say lose the weight if you can't handle

00:05:19.060 fat jokes lose the weight if you can't handle your family wanting you to be healthy lose the weight so

00:05:24.820 this weekend i spent a lot of time thinking about what true femininity is and i thought about how 0.53

00:05:31.300 you have these women that sell femininity courses and they typically have on a lot of makeup and maybe 1.00

00:05:37.700 they sell courses on makeup getting your nails done and looking elegant and really there's nothing wrong

00:05:44.740 with that image matters image is important but a lot of times i'll meet these women and there's not an 1.00

00:05:49.860 ounce of femininity in their body and i was trying to understand like why are these women not feminine 1.00

00:05:55.540 i can see that they're not feminine but i can't exactly explain to you why and i thought about how

00:06:01.540 one of the most feminine women i have ever met in my life um really she didn't have the latest fashion 1.00

00:06:07.780 trends and she was overweight she wasn't what these women sell and i thought to myself what makes her 1.00

00:06:15.300 selfless and the conclusion i came to was when you think about our great grandmothers and our

00:06:21.620 grandmothers they they didn't care about the latest fashion trends they didn't care about being all

00:06:27.780 polished and proper what was most important to them was the men in their lives true and this is what i

00:06:34.180 tweeted true femininity is actually women serving men it has nothing to do with clothes fashion or having 1.00

00:06:41.700 your nails done if you go get your nails done they are serving you therefore it is not feminine and 0.99

00:06:48.740 my thought process was is all of these girls that are really into fashion typically live very selfish 1.00

00:06:55.460 lives and the things they do are typically for them and therefore it makes them unfeminine so jo

00:07:03.060 responded to this and he said femininity doesn't expand it enhances masculinity so then i had another tweet

00:07:09.860 this made some people mad i said i heard married wives and mothers are getting botox why he already

00:07:17.460 married you what more do you need spend that money on your children and i thought about the women that 1.00

00:07:23.140 invest a lot into their looks again it's not feminine it's one thing if you are investing into your looks 0.85

00:07:30.100 for the man in your life but men have overwhelmingly said we do not want this we do not want botox

00:07:38.420 we do not want fake hair extensions we do not want a ton of makeup no no no we do not want this and it really

00:07:47.380 just leads me to the conclusion that really most of these wives that are spending all of this money on their 1.00

00:07:54.740 appearance are doing it for the external validation rather than their husband's validation therefore making it 0.90

00:08:03.540 not feminine women that are getting work done if you pulled their husbands what percent of them would 1.00

00:08:09.620 say yes i am so happy my wife is putting in injections into her face the mother of my children yes i am so 0.79

00:08:18.740 happy that the mother of my children is tattooing eyeliner yes i am so excited that the mother of my

00:08:27.060 children spends two hours every day on her makeup do men really want this and the common argument that i

00:08:35.140 hear is yes men want it but they don't know that they want it and what that tells me is i get more

00:08:41.700 attention from men when i do these things and my question is if you're married why do you need 0.95

00:08:49.220 attention and validation from the outside world why is your husband's opinion not the most important

00:08:56.020 really if you want to belong to a guy the question is what does he like when i wear it what does he

00:09:01.860 want me to do and most men look at all of this stuff as an expense and and i expanded on this in my

00:09:08.340 tweet i said the wives and mothers that are wasting all of this money on botox nails fashion are telling on 1.00

00:09:14.500 themselves it shows their priority themselves their looks attention from men and not what ding ding ding

00:09:21.780 their family and we have to talk about ideals on the show when we talk to women that are actually 1.00

00:09:26.740 the ideals that really are the most selfless feminine women that you have met are they typically 1.00

00:09:32.820 women that are worried about the latest fashion trends they are typically worried about their children 0.92

00:09:38.580 and typically they don't want to spend money on themselves they want to spend money on the children

00:09:44.340 that is a true feminine women a woman that puts the family above herself and what we have now is a 1.00

00:09:50.660 bunch of kim kardashian wives that are playing pretend it's me me me me me my career what i want 0.60

00:09:57.540 and it doesn't matter what my husband wants and the kids want and we saw this when kim kardashian and

00:10:03.140 kanye were married and kanye repeatedly told kim that he didn't want her wearing certain types of outfit

00:10:09.060 and her response is that well i was like this when you married me and while that is a valid point

00:10:14.660 my question is are we all going to be exactly the same all through marriage and isn't it your job as

00:10:20.580 a wife to submit to your husband's authority even when he changes directions and again it shows the 0.80

00:10:27.380 problem with the modern wives it's a lack of control they need to be in control of everything everything 1.00

00:10:32.420 needs to be the same from the day we get married till the day we die otherwise i have been deceived

00:10:38.180 now i got a response from free ashley she says women need to work on their appearance through 1.00

00:10:43.220 marriage so their husbands remain attracted to them physically also women spend too much money 1.00

00:10:48.340 worrying about their appearance after they are married pick one you can't have both yes i can and

00:10:53.700 i'm going to tell you how i can when i say worry about your appearance focusing on fitness and being

00:11:00.180 healthy will actually put you in the top 25 of women because 70 of women are overweight in the united states 0.82

00:11:07.940 so you actually can't have both you can focus on your appearance wanting to look good for your

00:11:13.060 husband without spending hundreds of dollars a month on face creams moisturizers heavy makeup and

00:11:19.620 botox we don't need this and typically women that are heavily invested in their looks are not happy with 1.00

00:11:27.540 the option they have they simply want a better one i i asked my producers to give me an example of a

00:11:32.980 woman in the media that has done a ton of work over time do you see on the left how she almost has this 1.00

00:11:39.060 like feminine essence of her and it's interesting because even when women age and they get older but 1.00

00:11:44.980 they don't get work done there's something more pure about the way they look there's something more

00:11:49.780 feminine and then on the right it's almost like an older woman trying to cosplay as a younger woman and we 0.97

00:11:56.260 can all see it maybe it's more visually attractive slightly but there's a difference between attraction

00:12:02.820 and beauty and there's something about a woman that has gotten very little work done that just ages i 0.99

00:12:08.740 don't want to say better but more gracefully over time and you you start to see these women that are 1.00

00:12:15.060 too invested in their looks and i think a lot of women have been lied to and they end up at 50 just looking 0.99

00:12:21.380 kind of nutty looking kind of crazy because eventually the botox starts to fade and then and then you know

00:12:28.580 when you think about it how much money did you spend on yourself that you could have really spent on your

00:12:33.620 families
