00:00:00.240 excited to have you on here we've been talking on instagram uh and i was just excited i i thought i

00:00:04.400 was gonna have to come out to london i will at some point come out there because i love your i

00:00:07.440 love your studio yeah i think it's awesome it looks like a lot of fun but um you decided you

00:00:12.260 came out here to do some you're doing a u.s trip how's it been so far it's been good i just got off

00:00:17.300 of um whatever podcast yeah so that was i was a little traumatized those girls were wild the girl 1.00

00:00:23.780 directly across from you not the one at the far end but the one next to her uh she's a gwen singer 0.99

00:00:28.100 she's one of my good friends oh which one she had a deeper voice she has like an announcer voice you 1.00

00:00:32.700 remember no she had a red dress on no i don't know yeah i was asking her they were just telling like

00:00:36.800 they're just saying their body counts and i was just like this is crazy isn't it crazy that's not

00:00:41.200 like the girl was like 200 i'm like 200 which one said 200 the one in the middle with the boobs kind 1.00

00:00:46.560 of oh okay yeah damn i gotta go i can listen to that yeah that's how it's like oh gosh that's a 0.65

00:00:52.540 lot um so so here's the thing i went back and i watched a couple things so um i don't 0.82

00:00:57.960 agree with everything matt walsh says but i do think that he has the right to ask what is a

00:01:01.940 woman and when people say yo that's silly it's offensive for you to ask that question that's 1.00

00:01:06.360 not silly you can ask that question and the fact that other people can't answer it that's actually

00:01:10.100 a pretty big chink in the armor you go on vice okay vice has you on you have a panel where you're 0.99

00:01:14.640 with a bunch of feminists and you ask the simple question you said how are women oppressed now if i 1.00

00:01:19.140 did some research i could probably come up with some ways that women were oppressed but that that the 1.00

00:01:22.840 one lady who was sitting to your left um she's a trans uh woman with those short hair the blonde 1.00

00:01:27.080 here i forgot what what she was but what her name was yeah but she she was like yeah eli she said 1.00

00:01:31.440 that's just silly and that got me angry because i was like sitting there trying to watch this

00:01:35.840 open-minded but when she said that's just silly i'm like no pearl can ask that question yeah because 0.70

00:01:41.060 that's that's where the discussion breaks down right if i asked you a legitimate question about your

00:01:45.580 political viewpoint and your response to me is that's just silly or we're not going to answer that

00:01:49.260 that means you're too insecure to answer the question so can you talk about like how did you end up on

00:01:53.720 that panel in the first place and then what was your what was your whole um experience like there

00:01:58.260 oh um they messaged me like a week or a week and a half before it happened and they just said they're

00:02:03.820 looking for women um to go on a panel about feminism and i was like sign me up you know um and yeah they 0.56

00:02:11.260 they flew me out to new york and it was actually like four hour it's crazy we we went back and forth for

00:02:16.740 four hours and it was edited down to 45 minutes yeah and that was like the most loony group of women i have 1.00

00:02:23.200 slash men all right men um that i have literally met in my life like they were so hostile towards

00:02:29.900 me like the whole thing and they and the thing is they didn't even keep in like they were 10 times

00:02:35.140 crazier in person than on the video but but it was honestly it was fun though i i enjoy making 0.96

00:02:40.820 contents and so it was all all together it was fun to make but god damn they're mad it definitely 0.60

00:02:46.460 looked fun you know one thing i noticed i don't know if you saw recently but um my buddy justin 0.88

00:02:50.100 waller and lucario they were on a thing on jubilee like last week yeah and when they went on there

00:02:54.420 it was the alphas versus the betas and they were having these and they were yelling at each other

00:02:58.120 a little bit and at the end you could see there was just almost like yeah guys let's all go get

00:03:02.180 a beer together yeah at the end of of your thing with those ladies there was no let's go get a 0.65

00:03:06.260 beer together no we did not get a beer together yeah no they were so angry um yeah they were really

00:03:13.680 angry yeah incredible man i recommend everybody go back and watch it because i remember watching

00:03:19.200 that and i was like okay this girl is gonna have i what i what i expected was like rational points

00:03:23.920 from both sides no and i didn't get that at all and i kept like waiting for somebody to come up with

00:03:28.960 some kind of statistics to like back up what they were saying and then when they told you you were 0.83

00:03:32.880 silly for asking the question i was like this is this is like there's no debate here like you the

00:03:37.520 other people who are against you are not qualified to have this discussion there are people qualified to 0.77

00:03:41.920 have a discussion about feminism there are even if i don't agree with them they're qualified because 1.00

00:03:45.760 they're educated in it what i was watching was not that at all that's what that's the part that i

00:03:49.920 thought was a little bit disappointing well and the freaking the worst part of that was when i was

00:03:55.360 talking about playing sports because that's something i care a lot about women's sports like 1.00

00:03:58.880 that's something like that was really important to me growing up um and i feel like it kept me out of

00:04:03.600 like a lot of i don't know like the trouble i guess because i was so busy in sports um and i think it's

00:04:10.080 really sad to see like the end of women's sports like to me like when you let men into women's 1.00

00:04:14.080 sports that's the end of it yeah like that like women's sports isn't women's sports and when i asked 0.88

00:04:18.800 when i was expressing this on the panel they told me to try they're like i because i was saying i can't

00:04:24.480 bench what a guy benches i can't i can't do the same things a guy does like i'm six foot i'm not i'm

00:04:29.360 top 15 of height for men like half a percent of height for women yeah and the the eli dude was like have

00:04:35.040 you tried confidence i was like what that's what he said to me it was so crazy watching that because

00:04:40.960 yeah that's what you said before so for us in texas we had this um boy that transitioned to

00:04:45.920 become a woman named mackberg and uh she won the state championship and put some girls in the hospital 1.00

00:04:52.720 on the way there wow and when i was listening to again that the the woman to your left she are saying 0.98

00:04:58.800 there's only been a few national championships that have been won by trans men in women's sports and i'm

00:05:04.240 like well 0.02 of the population are trans so that's the reason why again the problem is this 0.73

00:05:08.720 like that is not an excuse this idea that just because it's happened a few times doesn't i have

00:05:14.320 no problem with somebody being trans what i have a problem with is when my daughter wants to do female 1.00

00:05:18.080 wrestling in in texas and then she's in there and she has to go up against a man who went oh let's just

00:05:23.920 say a trans person who went through male puberty well and i just don't think anyone understands like how

00:05:28.240 hard we work for those like few moments like we work so hard like i started playing volleyball when i

00:05:34.080 was in fifth grade i started playing basketball maybe like second or third like i i've been

00:05:38.640 playing for over 10 years and i can count on one hand the moments like i've had to go for a state

00:05:43.360 title or for um an ncaa like i went to the ncaa's twice that volleyball in volleyball that meant a lot

00:05:49.440 to me you know to go to that and then i went to state uh one once so you know i had three moments in

00:05:56.080 like 15 you know 15 i don't know 16 roughly years yeah and it's like so these girls like and that 0.85

00:06:03.440 happened to that riley gains girl she trained for 15 freaking years maybe even more and her whole 1.00

00:06:09.200 entire career leads up to this one moment that's supposed to be her moment and you put a dude in 0.99

00:06:13.920 that like now i've never played against a dude well other than in like pickup basketball i've done

00:06:18.480 that but but you know professionally but i could just imagine like going to all of that work and

00:06:24.720 and we work so hard that's the thing like we get there's no money at the end of it there's

00:06:28.800 there's nothing at the end of it except for like a very very small percentage so we work so hard for

00:06:33.600 the the little opportunity that there is and we all do it because we love it yeah and they're they're

00:06:38.640 trying to give that to dudes like i just i just have an issue with that so you played division one

00:06:43.120 where no i didn't play division okay i wish you know no i played um division three i played

00:06:48.480 basketball volleyball and i ran track where was this um elmhurst college is this in illinois yeah it's an

00:06:53.280 ill it's a very small school in illinois i played for ohio northern for a year and then i transferred okay

00:06:57.920 uh so i'm a basketball junkie okay describe i've never heard you talk about this describes pearl's

00:07:03.920 basketball game um i'm very i'm very aggressive in the paint i was really good rebounder so like

00:07:10.640 you're are you usually the tallest person even in division three or on your team are you the second

00:07:14.960 tallest person on your division three i'm one of the tall in division one like that's the thing i was

00:07:18.800 actually short um for the positions i was for division one you play the three maybe the two but

00:07:23.680 you can't play the four no no you can't those girls are six eight correct yeah yeah so 1.00

00:07:27.840 um and same with volleyball too um like for my position you kind of had to be like six two i

00:07:33.040 don't know that much about uh six player volleyball right the hardwood fall yeah yeah are there a lot

00:07:38.400 of different are the heights all different or the girls all around the same no the heights are all

00:07:42.000 different um i was a middle slash like outside but those are a bit taller back row shorter okay i

00:07:47.200 didn't realize that i had no idea about that yeah the little bear the one in the other color jersey

00:07:50.960 they're like the shortest one usually so in when you play college basketball you played the five yes okay

00:07:55.600 so describe your game you're a rebounder like what what kind i was i was a rebounder i was really

00:08:00.800 good at boxing out like when i would box people out for rebounds i would knock them over sometimes

00:08:05.760 and i would um i was a really good posting up um yeah and i actually had a decent three too okay so

00:08:12.160 pearl's go-to move you're playing somebody who's like maybe even bigger than you what's your go-to

00:08:16.560 move when you were in the post back them up into the basket and just do a layup like that was my

00:08:21.520 and you shot you you're a good three-point shooter yeah did you handle the ball not really i actually

00:08:26.480 want to play basketball with you yeah i'm so down um no i wasn't that was my weakness was i couldn't

00:08:32.240 really dribble yeah so i could i could do a three like i could run out and shoot it yeah but it other

00:08:37.920 than that like i wasn't going to drive really much um i was just like a post hour slash three but i had

00:08:44.400 to run out defensively you were under the basket all the time yeah i was i was a pretty good defender um

00:08:49.040 yeah i was a pretty good defender in england you said you were playing semi-pro volleyball and

00:08:53.040 semi-pro basketball yeah well i i played for the school so i think it's technically something else

00:08:58.160 i played for the school volleyball and basketball i did semi-pro volleyball in england so are you

00:09:04.000 playing for a team there like how does that work yeah it's a bit confusing um but basically you do

00:09:08.640 your master's program so you you get your master's degree and you get like a scholarship for it and then

00:09:13.440 you play for the school and then you also play for the semi-pro team you can actually play pro

00:09:18.240 basketball in england but i was not that was like the best team in europe where i lived i was not

00:09:23.680 going to make that team but i was i was a better volleyball player than basketball
