JustPearlyThings - Pearl’s Thoughts On Rollo Tomassi

00:00:00.000 That's a problem with media, to be honest, is that like people just become so beholden to their audiences.

00:00:07.040 Yeah.

00:00:07.380 So they have to be extreme and they can't like talk about nuance.

00:00:10.120 But I think Kanye is an example of that.

00:00:12.160 He says, I love Hitler. 0.97

00:00:13.720 That's not nuanced.

00:00:14.940 That's being a shock.

00:00:16.540 Well, I mean, I don't think he does that for his audience.

00:00:20.080 He just says things. 0.99

00:00:22.920 That's mental illness. 0.83

00:00:24.100 Yeah.

00:00:24.660 I mean, I don't really see it, but you can have that opinion.

00:00:28.480 Okay.

00:00:29.060 Yeah. 0.99

00:00:30.360 Even Alex Jones was like, what the fuck is that? 0.99

00:00:32.840 Anyway, that's fine. 0.99

00:00:34.380 The other thing I was going to talk to you about. 0.99

00:00:36.620 So I would love for you and Rolo to be able to sit down and like, I don't know what the fucking problem is. 0.98

00:00:42.300 I kind of understand. 0.98

00:00:43.280 What do you think the issue was where you guys would go back and forth?

00:00:46.820 What do you think it came from?

00:00:48.960 Back and forth?

00:00:50.100 Not back and forth.

00:00:50.700 I did not respond.

00:00:52.740 What did I respond to?

00:00:53.900 You didn't respond to anything.

00:00:54.760 I said that.

00:00:55.240 Yeah.

00:00:56.380 Where do you think it comes from?

00:00:57.760 And then I'm going to tell you what I think it is.

00:00:59.060 Um, this is when, when we started, he was really helpful to me in my set.

00:01:07.020 Yes.

00:01:07.280 And so he was helping me with stuff and he like, he was giving me advice.

00:01:10.460 Um, I start to blow up.

00:01:12.680 Um, and I, I was trying to get him to like mentor me.

00:01:16.920 Sure.

00:01:17.300 And I think like, like, and I was saying I would pay him for his time and like, like, cause I really, I really looked up to him.

00:01:24.120 Like, honestly, I thought like he was so smart and like, I just really loved his stream.

00:01:28.020 Yeah.

00:01:28.220 Um, and then he basically, like, he basically, um, he went on this like podcast and then was like, oh, Pearl, I forgot.

00:01:38.000 I don't remember what he said.

00:01:39.280 It really hurt my feelings though, to be honest.

00:01:41.500 Um, like she's, oh, she's a hack or something.

00:01:45.060 And like, and I was like, oh, I, I thought, okay.

00:01:49.280 You know, um,

00:01:50.920 Her, his exact words to me, cause we had a conversation about it.

00:01:53.340 Yeah.

00:01:53.440 Is that she, he, he said the same thing that he thought you were hacked, but he didn't dislike you.

00:01:57.700 It was just one of these situations.

00:01:58.880 And I'll, let me talk, I'll talk after you finish.

00:02:00.720 If you finish saying what you're saying.

00:02:01.880 Um, yeah.

00:02:03.420 And so then, um, yeah.

00:02:06.680 And then, uh, I'm like trying to remember.

00:02:09.900 I don't even remember what happened next, but he would just always tweet about me.

00:02:12.640 And I'm just like, why are we, why are we tweeting?

00:02:14.480 Isn't this a bit immature?

00:02:15.660 Like, why do you think he felt that way? 1.00

00:02:17.900 Um, he, he calls me an idiot all the time. 0.99

00:02:21.200 So yeah, there's a little too much. 0.97

00:02:23.660 Why, but why, what do you, why do you think he and I immediately got along?

00:02:29.120 Uh, oh, why do you think we immediately got along?

00:02:32.000 Well, I mean, he's been doing this stuff for like 20 years.

00:02:34.440 Yeah.

00:02:34.940 So I read probably somewhere between 40 and 60 books a year.

00:02:37.900 Oh wow.

00:02:38.500 There's nothing like, he's the only human I've met in my life who reads as much on evolutionary psychology as me.

00:02:43.740 And that includes PhDs.

00:02:45.620 The reason why we got together and why it works so much, even though we disagree on certain things, like he's, he's like, I would never vote for a female politician. 1.00

00:02:52.420 I'm like, no, the lady who runs Las Vegas is pretty awesome. 1.00

00:02:55.260 She was trying to get us back to work during the pandemic. 0.99

00:02:57.160 She did a fucking awesome job. 0.98

00:02:58.480 There's some exceptions. 0.99

00:02:59.400 Okay.

00:02:59.500 Or in, in his case where he talks about like men and women could be friends.

00:03:03.180 That was a big debating point for when we, when we first, when we first met.

00:03:05.900 Right.

00:03:06.160 Yeah.

00:03:06.600 But because we kept this thing evidence-based, he and I got along really well, got famously.

00:03:11.220 And the other thing is when I presented evidence to him, like I took him to my birthday party and there were 50 girls there.

00:03:16.000 And they were all just like, we love Michael.

00:03:17.580 And then like, he saw the girls I was dating and all this kind of stuff.

00:03:19.620 He was like, oh, okay.

00:03:21.020 I see this now.

00:03:21.780 Okay.

00:03:22.000 Now I didn't see it this way.

00:03:23.300 Now I see this.

00:03:24.280 And he was open to this idea.

00:03:26.100 That's why it worked.

00:03:27.480 The thing is, and this is what I asked him.

00:03:29.420 I was like, hey, if Pearl read, and anybody wants to take notes on these?

00:03:32.640 If Pearl read, The Ape That Understood the Universe by Stephen Stewart Williams, and Pearl read, The Evolution of Desire by David Buss, and Pearl read, Why Women Have Sex by David Buss and Cindy Messon, and Pearl read, When Men Behave Badly by David Buss, and Pearl read, Mate by Joffrey Wilson, and Pearl read, Any of the Books by Steven Pinker or Gad Saad, and Pearl read, Why Beautiful People Have More Daughters by Satoshi Kanazawa.

00:03:55.800 Do you think then you would still think she's a hack?

00:03:57.720 And he's like, no.

00:03:58.600 It's like, at that point, she would have done the work.

00:04:00.620 Like, that's an extreme micro-president, but she would have done the work in order to have a conversation on what, that's what he, that's what Rolo, and I don't want to put words in his mouth, and if Rolo disagrees with me, he can tweet it and say something, or tweet, do a super chat or say something, we'll read it.

00:04:16.460 But for Rolo, what he respects is that people follow the evidence.

00:04:20.260 When you had Nick Fuentes on, and got, you know, yelled at because of it, you know, whatever, semi-cancel, whatever, all the controversy, and then you said you didn't know who he was, Pearl, do you understand I did 30 hours of study before you came on here today?

00:04:33.800 I can't, I don't, I only have 50,000 subs.

00:04:37.820 I have to do tons of work before someone comes on.

00:04:41.920 And it felt like, in your situation, you were talking about a lot of these things from anecdotal stuff.

00:04:46.080 I love when you start talking about 40% of women have had two abortions.

00:04:49.080 That's you quoting statistics.

00:04:50.340 That's great.

00:04:50.800 But, like, for him, in his standpoint, what he admires, I'll tell you right now, is the work, the study that's gone.

00:04:57.520 I'll give you those six books.

00:04:58.420 I can pay until you read those.

00:04:59.260 Oh, last one's Alpha God by Hector Garcia.

00:05:01.480 If you read those books, I promise you he'd be like, okay, now she's taking these ideas from the concept of evolutionary studies as opposed to, you understand, when you just start saying things based on how you feel, how are you any different from The View or fucking Dr. Phil? 0.98

00:05:16.000 The reason why we have no respect for those people as content creators is because they're just spewing either a political woke rhetoric or they're just talking about their fucking feelings. 0.50

00:05:26.380 And for the reason why he respects Myron, for instance, is because Myron reads a ton. 0.98

00:05:31.780 You see what I'm saying?

00:05:33.080 That's what, I'm not saying you're right or wrong.

00:05:34.660 I'm just telling you that's what, the way he would express it.

00:05:37.560 Maybe he didn't do a good enough job expressing it.

00:05:39.300 And I'm not blaming you.

00:05:40.220 I'm just saying, because I want to see the two of you work together, to be honest with you.

00:05:43.160 But that's what I would say.

00:05:44.780 I don't know if you think that's fair.

00:05:46.000 Yeah, okay.

00:05:50.580 Does that make sense?

00:05:51.260 Mm-hmm.

00:05:52.040 Because I support, I think the stuff you do is great.

00:05:54.640 That's just where I'm coming from.

00:05:56.420 Yeah, I just, yeah, I mean, I think that he could have said that to me instead of going online.

00:06:05.840 And I just think it's kind of immature.

00:06:07.980 And I think it's really unprofessional to every time you have an issue with someone, tweet about it.

00:06:13.040 Instead of, like, that was a conversation that could have maybe been had behind the scenes.

00:06:17.620 Right.

00:06:17.780 Like, um, and, yeah.

00:06:20.400 So here's the thing.

00:06:20.880 He, I talked to him about it.

00:06:22.220 Yeah.

00:06:22.420 And I was like, I think you should work with her.

00:06:24.460 And then he said, you guys were talking on the phone and then you did a live stream. 0.95

00:06:27.960 And then he felt that Nick Fuentes just showing up on the fucking stream that he was on was a little unprofessional. 0.96

00:06:34.360 Do you understand? 0.97

00:06:35.680 Yeah.

00:06:36.500 And then I looked for it and you would pull that stream down.

00:06:38.760 Well, yeah, because I did it because he was, like, I thought he was mad.

00:06:42.500 So that's why I pulled it because, like, for him, like, yeah. 0.99

00:06:45.740 So, like, I was like, oh, shit. 1.00

00:06:47.560 I think he thinks that you pulled it because Nick Fuentes said crazy shit. 1.00

00:06:51.480 Yeah. 1.00

00:06:51.680 No.

00:06:51.940 So that's the first time I've heard this.

00:06:53.040 No, I did it because, like, because I.

00:06:54.860 You thought Rollo was mad.

00:06:55.800 Yeah.

00:06:56.080 Like, I thought he was mad. 1.00

00:06:57.220 And I was like, oh, shit. 0.99

00:06:58.380 Like, I didn't mean to, like, I don't know. 0.99

00:07:00.600 Okay.

00:07:00.740 But he doesn't, like, believe me.

00:07:02.340 So, like, I don't know.

00:07:03.360 It's fine.

00:07:03.660 It's fine.

00:07:04.380 My whole thing is, now look at it from two standpoints.

00:07:06.460 Yeah.

00:07:06.560 From the first standpoint, you, you, from his standpoint, you said you're an entertainer.

00:07:11.020 That's why I don't hold this against you.

00:07:12.200 Yeah.

00:07:12.300 You're saying you're an entertainer.

00:07:13.540 From his standpoint, he felt like you didn't do the work.

00:07:16.100 Again, Rollo, if I'm saying stuff you don't agree with, please, like, like, chime in.

00:07:20.160 He felt like you didn't do the work.

00:07:21.640 I just gave you seven, eight books to read.

00:07:23.600 Okay.

00:07:24.500 And additionally, when you have Nick Fuentes on the first time and people are offended, you say,

00:07:28.840 you didn't know that this was going to happen.

00:07:30.420 You didn't do enough research.

00:07:31.800 Like I said, well, I'm having Patrick Bed-David on in August.

00:07:35.060 I will do, I'm not kidding, 50 hours on him.

00:07:37.680 I will spend two, three weeks just studying up to, he was in the 101st Airborne.

00:07:41.280 I have nothing but respect for the man.

00:07:43.620 And so when-

00:07:44.080 I didn't say I didn't know who he was.

00:07:45.740 I said I didn't, like, know all of what he did.

00:07:47.920 Sure.

00:07:48.420 And so, like, sometimes, like, I feel like, and sometimes, and I think this is fair.

00:07:52.460 I can do that on my own channel that I built, right?

00:07:54.920 For sure.

00:07:55.140 No, no, you have the right to do it.

00:07:56.100 No, wait, wait.

00:07:56.200 So I have, like, the right to bring someone on.

00:07:58.540 And if I don't want, like, because I think that sometimes, like, you go into an interview,

00:08:02.760 you already know everything about the person.

00:08:04.520 Like, I think what I really like bringing on YouTube is having a conversation, like, that

00:08:09.320 you would have behind the scenes that's, like, in good faith.

00:08:11.500 And I feel like when you bring on someone that's, like, canceled, if you know every, like,

00:08:15.820 bad thing they've said ever or whatever, like, I just wanted, like, to go in with, like,

00:08:19.900 an open mind.

00:08:21.060 And that's what I was talking about.

00:08:22.820 And I just think it's, like, okay, if you don't like it, then do something else on your

00:08:26.160 show.

00:08:26.820 For sure.

00:08:27.560 Yeah.

00:08:27.740 I think it's a valid viewpoint.

00:08:29.380 I'm just trying to explain to you what, maybe where he's coming from.

00:08:31.420 And obviously, yeah, I wish he was having this conversation with you.

00:08:33.660 Yeah.

00:08:34.040 But that's where it happens.

00:08:35.000 So, but the thing is, it's the first time with Nick, and then it happens again when he's on the

00:08:39.180 show that all of a sudden Nick shows up, I'm, by the way, I'm not trying to do a gotcha.

00:08:41.980 Well, I want you two to work together.

00:08:43.420 No.

00:08:43.660 Well, I mean, with, with Rolo, I mean, I told him that I was going to invite content creators

00:08:47.760 on.

00:08:48.180 Yeah.

00:08:48.620 And like, that's, and so I thought it was fine.

00:08:51.140 Yeah.

00:08:51.300 And, and then, yeah. 0.99

00:08:52.760 And then he's, he's super like, and I was like, oh shit. 0.84

00:08:55.860 Like, the only reason I pulled the stream was because like, because of like, cause, um,

00:09:01.260 some, someone messaged me during the stream and was like that this isn't good or whatever.

00:09:04.960 Yeah. 0.99

00:09:05.140 And I was just like, oh, oh shit. 0.99

00:09:06.820 And so that was why I pulled it. 1.00

00:09:08.220 For sure.

00:09:08.560 I understand.

00:09:08.860 Yeah.

00:09:09.780 Yeah.

00:09:09.920 It's just, but again, it's like, it's kind of like, why, why are we having this conversation

00:09:13.460 on a live?

00:09:14.060 Like now, you know, when we, we could have had this, like, yeah.

00:09:17.000 Yeah.

00:09:17.500 Yeah.

00:09:17.960 Listen, I'm, I'm, I'm trying to be, you know, Jimmy Carter here.

00:09:20.760 I'm trying to bring the people together.

00:09:22.220 So, I mean, I've always been a fan of Rolo and I just feel like no matter, like it's very

00:09:27.700 immature to always go to Twitter and always like posting every time you have an issue and

00:09:31.620 a lot of this stuff, like, I think it kind of makes the space look bad as a whole, to be

00:09:35.700 honest, when you're like doing this.

00:09:37.240 Yeah.

00:09:37.560 We, also, I want to let you, you probably figure this out.

00:09:39.720 We have very different personalities.

00:09:41.020 Yeah. 1.00

00:09:41.200 If you had done that to me, I would have been like, fuck yes. 1.00

00:09:43.800 I would have been excited. 0.99

00:09:44.740 And that's why I told Rolo, I was like, I would, I want, have me on sometime.

00:09:48.080 Yeah. 0.99

00:09:48.200 Surprise the shit. 1.00

00:09:48.760 Have three of my exes and fucking, you know, some more criminal on. 1.00

00:09:52.160 Yeah. 1.00

00:09:52.320 I'm going to, because I'm different.

00:09:53.700 I'm just, I'm just different like that.

00:09:55.000 But I think in his, his standpoint with Rolo, it's not just a question of his, um, like the

00:10:00.460 number of followers he has.

00:10:01.460 Yeah.

00:10:01.620 There's a level of credibility that he has because of the books.

00:10:04.100 And so whenever he goes on someone's show, he feels he's lending that credibility to that

00:10:08.140 person.

00:10:08.480 Does that make sense?

00:10:09.320 So he lends in his mind, he lends the credibility.

00:10:11.680 Again, Rolo, if I'm saying something you disagree with, let me know.

00:10:13.720 Yeah.

00:10:13.940 He's lending that credibility to you.

00:10:15.540 And then you turn around and it's Nick Fuentes.

00:10:17.580 You see what I'm saying?

00:10:18.360 And Rolo to me.

00:10:19.300 No, and I understood why he was mad.

00:10:21.140 Like, I apologized like immediately.

00:10:23.240 Yeah.

00:10:23.480 Like, I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.

00:10:25.460 Like, I pulled the stream because I was, I was just like, oh God, like, I was like, 0.98

00:10:29.080 gosh, I'm so stupid. 0.97

00:10:30.040 Like, I was literally after the stream. 1.00

00:10:31.780 Yeah.

00:10:31.900 I was on the phone. 1.00

00:10:32.760 I was just like, I am a fricking idiot. 1.00

00:10:34.180 Yeah. 1.00

00:10:34.760 Pulled it.

00:10:35.320 It was done.

00:10:36.260 And I, but it's like, I can't like when he's constantly thinking I'm like out to get him or whatever.

00:10:41.940 It's just like, it's, it's, I know you guys, like they, you guys had the whole 21, like

00:10:46.620 whatever, like that whole, like not, maybe not you, but everyone in the manosphere had

00:10:50.700 that like big beef or whatever, where people were turning on each other, but it's like,

00:10:55.080 Oh, the 21 convention.

00:10:56.840 Yeah.

00:10:57.240 And I don't really know what happened with it, but it's like, I feel like I'm getting

00:11:01.820 punished for something I didn't do. 0.90

00:11:04.240 And so it's like, like I've genuinely, he's called me an idiot on stream.

00:11:08.640 He's called like, he, he has said like things that are so rude when literally I have only

00:11:13.720 been trying, like, I just wanted him to mentor me.

00:11:15.800 Yeah.

00:11:16.020 And if he sat me down and said, Oh, read this book, read this book.

00:11:18.340 Like I probably would have had like, yeah.

00:11:21.440 And so, um, like he said something to me about reading his book, religion.

00:11:25.440 And then I read it like, so I don't know.

00:11:28.020 Yeah.

00:11:28.280 Well, I'm an audio book person.

00:11:29.620 I'm sorry.

00:11:30.140 I know you guys are.

00:11:31.000 No, no, no.

00:11:31.300 His audio, he actually, I think he told me he makes more money from the audio books than the

00:11:34.000 I like audio books too.

00:11:35.440 I think that's great.

00:11:36.420 So, um, yeah, I didn't even have an issue with him being like mad about the, the, the 0.99

00:11:41.200 second time I was like, okay, that was stupid. 0.99

00:11:42.920 You're right. 0.99

00:11:43.480 Um, and yeah, but then he, it's like, he runs to Twitter.

00:11:46.980 Yeah.

00:11:47.480 It's just like, and it's, it's like immature.

00:11:49.700 Like when it's like, I'm the, I'm the girl.

00:11:51.980 I'm, I'm not the one tweeting.

00:11:53.960 Right.

00:11:54.420 Sorry.

00:11:54.700 That was rude.

00:11:55.160 I shouldn't, I shouldn't have said that.

00:11:56.180 Sorry.

00:11:56.220 No, it's fine.

00:11:57.080 Don't worry about it being rude.

00:11:58.200 I just, I wanted you.

00:12:00.500 And again, I, I don't know what the whole thing is.

00:12:03.080 We've had a couple of conversations about this.

00:12:04.740 I'm of the opinion.

00:12:05.900 I would like all of us to be able to work together.

00:12:07.700 It's crazy.

00:12:08.460 Like some of these beefs, but the thing is, I don't come from the red pill community.

00:12:11.320 I come from that community.

00:12:12.540 Yeah.

00:12:12.860 You see what I'm saying?

00:12:13.400 Well, I would too.

00:12:14.200 I've wanted nothing but to like work with him.

00:12:16.280 Yeah.

00:12:16.480 Like genuinely.

00:12:17.500 Um, but it's like, I can't, it's like, I can only do so much, you know?

00:12:23.740 So.
