JustPearlyThings - Troy Francis Outlines Double Standards in the dating Market

00:00:00.000 there are to to play devil's advocate here i think there are there are deviate there are small

00:00:04.000 deviations though right because i i've got i've got friends like even people say yeah guys are

00:00:08.640 just very shallow you're only motivated by lurks etc and there's a lot of truth in that however i've

00:00:13.840 got male friends and some of the there are there are differences and quite large differences between

00:00:19.600 the type of women that say i would be attracted to versus what my friends attracted to you know

00:00:24.000 sometimes i look at my friend and i'm like really you know and and he may well think the same thing

00:00:28.880 about me so i think it's that and that i sense with women as well that's also the case and maybe

00:00:35.120 it's more with women i don't know because it seems like for me like if i got a dating app for example

00:00:41.280 so if i deal with a lot of guys who use tinder and they don't get very good results and then they do

00:00:47.280 they they'll meet women in the daytime or they meet women at you know at a night at a lounge bar or a

00:00:52.400 party or whatever and they get much better results so what's happening there they haven't changed it's

00:00:56.480 not like they've become magically better looking it must be that their personality is conveying

00:01:00.640 something when they go into the interaction so i think for men actually you know as a personality

00:01:06.400 the way that you deliver yourself the way that you put yourself across does make a difference yeah

00:01:11.040 and guys can't take pictures either

00:01:17.040 would you say that it's obvious who's more attractive when it comes to men yes

00:01:21.680 yes i'll say it's more obvious than women like the the guy that we just showed you versus 0.99

00:01:29.520 channing tatum who's hotter yes channing channing 100 why why is there no oh it depends

00:01:40.800 we can't say that it depends which goes back to which is going to sound so bad i don't even know

00:01:45.040 what he looks i don't know people by names half the time so channing who i don't know you you

00:01:49.040 know you definitely know him when you put him up you know him yeah you gotta put him up i'm

00:01:52.720 really okay we can show leonardo dicaprio yeah we could do leo oh i like leo yeah is he hot is he

00:01:59.280 hot now yeah now he's not but he was titanic times he was channing tatum was the guy in that

00:02:05.280 strip yeah channing tatum yes gorgeous oh yeah yeah but it depends but they're the same no it depends on

00:02:15.120 on the girl no it does depend on the girl yeah but james altucher is a 10 to himself

00:02:23.120 but see this is the only reason i'm doing this is because it kind of shows the point where i think

00:02:26.800 that men have higher beauty standards than women and are held up to a higher standard when it comes

00:02:30.560 to beauty because like women will say that we're tens but a man like we'll do a picture and we'll say

00:02:35.920 he's a four or two i think it's more acceptable to slate guys looks now actually perhaps than it than

00:02:42.880 you know than for a man to slate a woman's looks do you know what i mean um i had a next guy i

00:02:48.480 shouldn't even i shouldn't even share this really she's getting a bit vulnerable i had a next girlfriend 0.98

00:02:51.760 once right and um we uh and i was um what was i like in my late i was like 35 or something like that

00:02:58.080 i was late 30s or something like that and we were together she was she was younger than me and she said

00:03:02.480 to me um one time uh oh you know i wish i'd have i wish i'd have got with you when you were in your

00:03:08.080 twenties you know when you were really in your prime and i was thinking and i i always remembered

00:03:13.440 that and i i sort of laughed it off at the time but i was thinking god if i said that to a woman 0.99

00:03:17.040 can you imagine how castigated i get can you imagine if i dated you know if i dated a woman who

00:03:21.600 was like at 40 or something like oh god i wish i'd have got with you when you were like 25 you know like

00:03:25.760 like and i'm not saying it was acceptable for her to have said that but it feels more acceptable

00:03:31.440 you know for a woman to say something like that about a man um so yeah you know i think there is a

00:03:37.120 little bit of a double standard these yeah 100 100 that is a horrible thing to say

00:03:47.440 it's all right i wasn't hot then either so it's fine do you guys think the phrase is true that men

00:03:52.560 would have sex with anyone yeah yeah i agree i'd like to think my boyfriend has standards

00:03:59.200 a lot of men out there will definitely have sex with anyone 100 even women that they will say oh you 0.97

00:04:05.040 know you'll have some men and they'll be like oh i would never have sex with this woman but you'll 1.00

00:04:08.480 be surprised they do they just probably don't speak about it don't they need to get aroused first 0.98

00:04:13.840 like i feel like i don't care about that as trash as you think they are but i feel like in this day 0.91

00:04:19.280 and age some men don't care about that they'll actually just sleep with whoever yeah but they 1.00

00:04:22.560 probably won't speak about it because they'll be ashamed in a way but i feel like men are okay to be

00:04:27.200 aroused i know have you heard the percentage rate of people having sex please tell me

00:04:32.400 i told you it's low standards at the moment yeah exactly so they will go for anyone they will

00:04:36.880 i still have the belief i feel like they have to disagree they need to be aroused i'm just curious

00:04:40.880 have you guys's mind changed at all about who has higher standards men or women and who's pickier

00:04:45.280 men or women no i definitely feel like men you still think men are pickier i think women i think women

00:04:51.200 women are yeah yeah i definitely know i'm picking and when it comes down to men um sleeping with 0.99

00:04:56.480 anything i do feel like money plays an issue and it plays a factor sorry when it comes down to men

00:05:02.320 sleeping with anything because if a man did had earned less money i feel like he would then go and

00:05:08.080 sleep with anything because he's getting what he's going for what he can get but once he starts earning

00:05:12.720 the amount that he can to be able to get the type of women that he actually wants to sleep with 0.69

00:05:17.840 he would then go and do that he would yeah that's true that's actually yeah it's very yeah that's

00:05:25.200 true it's like they say like men are only as loyal as their options i think that's true i think that's 0.99

00:05:31.680 that's 100 true i think to be honest i mean guys would be like you know playing the moral high card

00:05:36.480 of like oh you know i would i would never cheat yeah yeah it's like come on come on you know um exactly

00:05:42.640 it's an interesting point though would a guy sleep with anything i i don't i think there are

00:05:47.600 i think it's it's probably a more nuanced answer i think there are some guys who are so thirsty that

00:05:51.360 they that perhaps they would but at the same time there is a mechanical thing here you know like

00:05:56.320 you said you have to sort of get aroused otherwise it's it's not happening and i mean for me personally

00:06:00.320 um i've always had for me fairly high standards i mean high standards in the sense that if i'm not

00:06:05.360 feeling it i'm just not going to do it do you know what i mean like and now especially i i'd rather go

00:06:10.080 home have a cup of tea listen to lbc you know like i'm not i'm just not going to go there if i'm not

00:06:15.120 feeling it do you know what i mean but i think equally there are guys who are quite thirsty and

00:06:18.480 they feel they don't have options 100 do you think that go ahead god i was gonna say there's a

00:06:23.440 difference like i always say where there's money there's females but it's money that's true yeah 1.00

00:06:28.720 there's a difference between that's true thirsty and just having money yeah i understand so i feel like

00:06:35.280 even when you do have money there's a particular type of girl that you go for rather than when you're 0.92

00:06:39.760 just thirsty and what does she like what do you what does she look like a girl that they go for 1.00

00:06:50.080 it doesn't matter everyone's a 10.

00:06:56.080 no no everyone's a 10 but there's a different type of gal there's a different type of female 1.00

00:07:01.520 you know where there's money and you go for any type of female it's kind of it could be high level 1.00

00:07:07.600 it could be attractive females you know and then when you're thirsty it's just anybody and anyone 0.99

00:07:14.480 the spectrum is so wide whereas i agree when you have money there's a particular type of girl you go 0.96

00:07:20.640 for just there's many of them so i feel like we need to differentiate the where there's money there's

00:07:27.680 girls or females and um and you're thirsty and you sleep with anything yeah so then again it almost

00:07:39.760 seems like men aren't as picky as women if they'd sleep with anything no i i think they are picky 0.81

00:07:46.560 because it depends like i said it depends on where in the spectrum you fall in oh no i would say like

00:07:52.160 the the top guys are picky but by like you have money i feel like you you're allowed to be picky

00:07:57.120 yeah because you have money whereas if you don't have the but it's like what percent of guys have

00:08:01.840 money so it's like you're talking about if we talk about men in general then what type of money do you

00:08:06.160 think because like you said the percentage was lower than when you've had other podcasts so what

00:08:12.800 does everyone think money is depending on where whatever that's true that's a good point that's true

00:08:18.160 but if you look at leonardo dicaprio i mean it's well documented isn't it you know the the chart of

00:08:22.400 his um his ex-girlfriends and they're all under 26 or whatever and um he's clearly a guy with

00:08:29.680 about as much choice as you could get in the dating market and i mean he's clearly very picky right

00:08:34.800 you know so if you take it to that extreme um and yeah i think that when you come further down the

00:08:39.600 scale guys are going to be less more thirsty less picky and whatever i suppose they they feel they need to

00:08:44.560 you know to get to get some intimacy somehow but um you know and this is what i mean i think i think

00:08:49.600 the dating marketplace is it's kind of a jungle out there really it's a very darwinian thing isn't it

00:08:54.320 do you know what i mean um we can try and dress it up and pretend it isn't and it's all really nice

00:08:58.880 and everything but it you know i mean it's the haves and the have-nots isn't it really what do you think

00:09:03.680 is different about dating today than it was 10 years ago 10 years ago was a date to murray 10 years ago well

00:09:10.960 not 10 years ago but 100 yeah so you don't think people date to marry today in this day and age no

00:09:18.720 i feel like and whose fault is that do you think men or women i thought probably both i feel like it

00:09:24.320 started off as um men's and then now it's on the woman woman yeah why um because men don't men always

00:09:32.800 feel like women are trying to finesse them or you know i feel like women have had enough 1.00

00:09:37.200 no i feel like for me it's like because women are way more accessible so men at the end of the day

00:09:44.400 they lose interest because if that's too accessible it's like it's just like you want to be you want

00:09:50.240 to feel like i need to you know hunt this lady that i'm really interested in you don't want to have that 1.00

00:09:56.000 all the time that well it's almost like if men will do anything for sex and we all wait until we were

00:10:01.440 married and we would all be married 100 yeah but you know it's the women that aren't waiting until 1.00

00:10:08.080 they're married so once you say it's on women no well yeah i'll say it's on women now but i feel

00:10:15.120 like it was triggered by men why was it triggered by men because didn't the sex have to like that's had

00:10:20.240 to be because before i'd imagine like a hundred years ago it's more common to wait till you were

00:10:24.720 married oh yes yeah so you know what i'm saying so who had to give up like who's in control of who

00:10:29.520 has sex women not men yes true you put a naked girl in front of most guys they're gonna oh sorry 0.91

00:10:40.960 but what's her personality like 0.98

00:10:46.320 yeah no it's women's both i think because as many of you know i was just banned on tick tock and we are
