00:00:00.400 do you think that birth control weight makes women more 0.99
00:00:03.200 oh no no no no no if you're slutty you're just 1.00
00:00:10.640 slutty yeah nothing to do i don't think it taps into your moral compass if birth 1.00
00:00:16.240 control was banned would you be more would you be less promiscuous like would you sleep around less 0.69
00:00:21.360 would you be more careful with who you slept with i mean i still don't sleep around i'm not saying
00:00:25.120 you do i'm just saying would you be more careful birth control okay outside of dorms it doesn't
00:00:33.520 it's not like you're blocking yourself from st you know like so whether you're in birth control or not
00:00:39.680 you're still at risk of those things so i don't think it makes a difference if you're in birth
00:00:44.080 control or not in terms of how promiscuous you are because it's not protecting you against diseases and
00:00:50.560 so you're just basically it's just protecting you from pregnancy that's the only thing so you're
00:00:54.880 still at high risk for all the things that are out there so to use birth control as an excuse to
00:01:00.640 be promiscuous that's an excuse i'm just wondering if you think you so you think a girl that's 1.00
00:01:06.000 promiscuous is going to be equally as promiscuous with or without birth control absolutely yeah but 1.00
00:01:11.040 i think being promiscuous with the partner i think that would change for me like i'd be a lot more
00:01:15.120 careful with my boyfriend to say then if birth control was not permitted in the uk i think i'd have
00:01:21.040 to be more careful with my boyfriend but it wouldn't make me not sleep around that's that's
00:01:26.960 just not my type of drip would you get married like quicker if birth control was banned i think
00:01:33.520 i think yeah i think i think i'd probably i think like you'd i feel like taking away birth control would
00:01:38.800 allow people to settle quicker and settle for less quicker if that makes sense so i feel like it would
00:01:43.840 take away that option of being able to make more of a choice because i think yeah you just yeah it
00:01:52.160 just changes everything i think not being because i think back in the day when people you did used to
00:01:56.480 fall pregnant at 16 and stuff when i speak to my parents and people that are around their age group
00:02:01.280 literally everyone would know if you went to the clinic to get something like it's not like now
00:02:05.200 where you can go there it's confidential and they would make it work they'd have shotgun weddings
00:02:09.760 the dad would get you're marrying my daughter like my mom would say she could never go down to the 0.65
00:02:16.400 local clinic without her mom or grandma my mom said there was two girls in her high school class 1.00
00:02:21.200 that got pregnant they're both still married to the guy okay they just they just made it work
00:02:25.280 yeah um condoms when you say birth control do you mean everything or do you mean just like
00:02:31.600 pills i meant pills because i mean from my personal experience when i between the ages of 21 and
00:02:38.240 now 25 i didn't take birth control and i was still like having sex sometimes with guys that i dated
00:02:44.320 i start i went back on birth control when i went into a long-term relationship where i felt like um i
00:02:49.360 know this person doesn't have anything i know that like i'm not taking any risks but i still had sex 0.58
00:02:55.040 before i still use condoms before i just use condoms yeah because i don't want any diseases is it because
00:03:01.200 it was less frequent because you weren't dating someone is that why you chose to go on birth control
00:03:05.520 it was i think there's a period of time if i was dating for someone for like three or more months
00:03:12.160 at that point i'd be like oh maybe we should think about this now um as a more like viable option for
00:03:18.320 us um but i had sex i had one night stands i still slept with people you know and you take a risk when 0.51
00:03:24.240 you do that but haram just kidding um wait so um wait so who else who anyone here think birth control 0.88
00:03:38.160 makes you sluttier anyone no one i do i do yeah do you take it no i don't take have you ever taken it
00:03:46.080 um not really no oh that's a yes but it's not really very very short like six months why did you
00:03:52.800 stop um i stopped because i just what was your contraception by the way that you took for six
00:04:01.680 months uh it was an iud oh okay yeah but i don't know i started like dating a guy and then it was just
00:04:08.720 like how do i put it i just felt like i felt like turning off your art like your i just felt like
00:04:15.280 it was going to be bad in the long term you know what i mean like i just felt like it like at some
00:04:19.440 point it would make me like something would happen like i felt like there would be side effects i didn't
00:04:25.520 feel any side but you didn't in the six months that you took it you didn't feel any what what side
00:04:29.120 effects are we worried about sorry i'm like interviewing you now um i just i was just nervous i wanted a
00:04:34.640 lot of kids i want a lot of kids so i was just nervous i couldn't have a lot of kids it doesn't
00:04:38.880 affect your fertility though that's not what i like actually i don't know about an iud i don't know much
00:04:43.440 about i have to be honest i don't know much about iud's themselves i know they're very painful to put in
00:04:48.000 i i just felt like you just never know with that type of stuff so i i just i just felt like doctors
00:04:55.920 that are selling the stuff have an incentive to lie to you and i just i i didn't i'm not a science
00:05:01.600 person i'm not going to pretend like i understood it i just was like um i don't know but i still
00:05:07.600 stand on i do think birth control makes you sluttier overall yeah did you feel sluttier when 0.91
00:05:12.480 you're on it then no actually no but i think by and large i think by and large it does i think you're
00:05:18.400 more likely to make crazy decisions when you're on birth control did you make any crazy decisions on
00:05:22.960 birth control no then why do you think that because i wasn't on it for a long period of time
00:05:29.920 so i think six months is a long time it's long enough to see if you have any side effects yeah
00:05:33.040 but i was with the same guy so it was like yeah but like what about it makes you think that it
00:05:39.200 it makes women sluttier like i just think when you have a bailout of a bad decision you're more likely 1.00
00:05:44.480 to make it that's true so i think if you if you have a fail safe for making a bad decision you're more
00:05:49.280 likely to make it and i think i avoided a lot of like bad decisions because i wasn't on birth control
00:05:53.840 most of my life okay so you felt like making slutty decisions but haven't because you're like 1.00
00:06:01.680 i'm not on birth control ever yeah sure interesting like what like being at a party and you're like oh
00:06:07.120 i can see this guy oh i'm not in birth control so i wait like that kind of thing um i mean i don't
00:06:13.440 really want to get like no it wasn't like it wasn't like a party or anything it was just like i don't
00:06:18.560 know maybe someone i was dating like i'd just have to like think about more what the consequence would
00:06:23.280 be you think you might do it sooner yeah yeah okay yeah so but if there's like a small window
00:06:29.440 for you to get pregnant then effectively birth control doesn't really have much say in terms of
00:06:36.240 you sleeping around really and truly because if you can like you know there's all these apps that you
00:06:41.440 can have a look at and i was just always nervous like i just always like never wanted to be
00:06:46.560 pregnant like outside of marriage so i was just always scared to be honest because i mean women
00:06:53.120 go on birth control for different reasons of course we have like for acne but in terms of some people go
00:06:58.800 on it because they don't want to be pregnant or have that kind of unexpected pregnancy but there's like
00:07:05.360 other reasons why they decide to go on birth control whether it's i don't think it's because
00:07:12.880 they want to sleep around well i mean i mean just like what what else is it for you mentioned earlier
00:07:17.520 acne and things like that yeah but i'm asking around the room no one's on it for acne some people
00:07:23.520 take it i know people that take it to regulate you're talking about exceptions and not the rule
00:07:28.160 so i'm talking about the i think most girls take birth control to not get pregnant yeah that's what's 1.00
00:07:32.720 for yeah yeah and so i'm talking about the rule i mean if we can if we have every conversation we have
00:07:37.520 to bring up the exception like we're going to be talking all day i'm talking about the rule
00:07:42.320 i think i don't know i feel like personally for me i feel like i was on contraception because i
00:07:46.720 with my boyfriend i don't want to feel like i've got to be precautious in terms of having a baby because
00:07:53.440 like you said pearl i i don't want to have a child with someone that i'm not going to spend the rest of
00:07:58.640 my life with so i was always paranoid about having a baby by accident and obviously i'm still very
00:08:04.000 young so i'm ovulating um it it's less likely for me to not be pregnant i mean it's less likely for
00:08:10.880 me to yeah not be pregnant than pregnant so for me it's a situation where that's why i was on
00:08:15.520 contraception because i didn't want any form of like oopsies no no i didn't want that but i also feel
00:08:22.320 like i think because i grew up in the caribbean right and i feel like here there's this sort of thing
00:08:28.960 where the doctors are quick to recommend birth control whereas i asked for it but like here like
00:08:36.880 i've got friends who were on it from like 16 and i'm like that's a crazy age because i think it was
00:08:43.920 to kind of um help them with cramps but i'm like cramps is like something you have like probably five
00:08:50.720 days out of the month so why is it so much of a thing of an agenda where the doctors are quick
00:08:55.840 to recommend it rather than it be your choice when you feel like okay this is you know i'm getting
00:09:01.600 into adulthood this is my decision rather than it being recommended so that's why i think a lot
00:09:06.800 more people are on it because from a young age it's just like it's the agenda of the doctor to be
00:09:12.160 like hey go on this like my mom would have never dreamt of like telling me at a young age to like
00:09:19.200 go on birth control it's just my mom always told me not to yeah i just i just felt like long term
00:09:25.120 like there would be some side effect from basically tricking your body into thinking
00:09:28.640 you're pregnant every month for years i don't know what it is i'm not a science person i don't know
00:09:32.960 yeah that was
00:09:33.680 you
