00:00:30.000 uh do the thing we're not going to do the thing not doing any of the things okay we're not doing
00:00:34.460 any of the things fridays for the lord we're back uh some technical difficulties but not no more we
00:00:39.200 fixed them ed uh we gotta promote ed stuff though we can't not we cannot promote ours but we have
00:00:43.660 to so ed before we get into it where can everybody find you okay so wow technical difficulties suck
00:00:49.840 but we're here so you can find me um two main places one is my website faithbyreason.net
00:00:55.840 that's where my stuff has been for like over almost 15 years now almost as long as i've been
00:01:00.740 married we were just talking about that 15 year anniversary with my wife but that is where you
00:01:06.180 can find all my stuff there you can find the revelation series 60 episodes there if you
00:01:11.440 become a member you can get all those there's just free stuff there too but if you become a
00:01:15.340 member you get all of that plus it's also where you access the spiritual warfare course which is
00:01:19.480 going strong hot and heavy we're going to talk about that today because it's a 12-month course
00:01:24.800 and we divided it into three month quarters the first three months which we've gotten past is
00:01:29.240 defense getting to know yourself building yourself up it's going from where the enemy was pushing
00:01:34.240 you back to where you were able to stand firm now we're on offense for the next three months
00:01:38.660 and this is where you're pushing the enemy out you're pushing the enemy back you're going on
00:01:41.940 office we're going to talk about that in this episode so you can sign up there um at this point
00:01:48.040 you know there are two tiers one tier is for um the where you're getting lessons every week
00:01:53.840 and you're in and you can it's kind of self-directed you can take as much time as you
00:01:57.920 want to get to get there the um the second tier which is higher level is where you also get uh
00:02:03.120 personal private coaching with myself and john linhart who will also be at bro grove
00:02:07.440 um and we we have two hours a month where we get together with the folks and it's amazing
00:02:13.140 the reason i'm bringing that up is because we have to cut off the the that um that area for
00:02:19.080 right now because we're so far into it if someone were to join now and be part of the personal
00:02:22.680 coaching it would you you'd be too far behind so yeah missing a lot of context and yeah you'd be
00:02:29.160 missing a ton of context so we said that july was was going to be our cutoff but we're we'll be
00:02:33.520 starting it up again like early next year and you can come back aboard if you if you want the
00:02:36.660 personal coaching because that's really been a game changer for a lot of the people um but you
00:02:41.100 know i if you really want to do it you email me we'll see what we can do with that but i'm saying
00:02:45.040 in general you can still be a part of the regular course um so that's that's there and also there's
00:02:50.520 my my patreon where a patreon.com slash faith by reason all new content drops there first
00:02:56.240 that's where you can be part of the bible the monthly bible study where we go through the
00:02:59.580 entire bible in 12 months from the supernatural point of view you'll get the genesis series the
00:03:04.400 revelation series is ongoing there the q a's um and like so that's that's the place to be to get
00:03:09.960 the content where it drops first awesome you know before the the episode started uh in both of the
00:03:15.940 pre shows if you're listening to this you don't know what we're talking about we had some real
00:03:19.480 technical difficulties the first go around but we're back again you were talking about this idea
00:03:24.040 of spiritual attacks happening at night and you were kicking around the idea of maybe creating
00:03:29.400 something that would uh be effectively i suppose what you would listen to before you go to sleep
00:03:35.780 to get your mind and spirit right um and kind of get your ducks in order before sleep and you also
00:03:42.720 mentioned how you listened to the the dark waters episode that we did with james yeah and how it was
00:03:48.420 So and I agree, there was a lot of correlation between the things that you say and the things that we discussed with him just in regards to spiritual warfare and preparedness and how to operate within that realm.
00:04:00.060 Can you talk maybe a little bit about that idea of this thing happens to you at night?
00:04:06.740 Where should our minds be as we're getting ready to go to sleep, I mean?
00:04:11.540 So, yeah, I'm not just kicking it around. I'm going to do it.
00:04:14.040 This is something that got put on my heart.
00:04:15.280 It's interesting because I think I've talked before how I want to make this my thing that I do this and nothing but.
00:04:21.960 And, you know, it requires, you know, having the resources to be able to, you know, continue to function and support myself and my family.
00:04:30.200 But what was interesting is that when you set your mind to something, you know, it was something called the I think it's called the reticular activating system in your mind.
00:04:38.120 if i'm pronouncing that correctly like once you focus on it then your unconscious mind starts
00:04:41.920 bringing in opportunities and ideas that you that were kind of there before but you just didn't see
00:04:48.360 them and this was one of them because what something i do at night because you know my
00:04:52.440 mind is flooded with stuff just from work and having a family all those sorts of things you
00:04:56.220 need to quiet your mind so you know i have these these like sleep mass that has like speed you
00:05:00.900 know headphones in it and i'll just have something like what do you call them binaural beats where
00:05:06.500 you know get you to you know theta wave and that sort of thing that kind of relaxes your mind a bit
00:05:10.200 and and and then you know just positive talk affirmations that are just getting into a good
00:05:15.220 place before you sleep and and when you wake up the same thing you know you're you immediately
00:05:20.360 immediately become bombarded with all the things that are happening for your to your day and how
00:05:24.800 you start your day is pretty much how your day is going to go and so i was doing that and god was
00:05:30.120 just kind of told me you know what that you don't just need this and people don't just need this in
00:05:34.580 a secular sense they need this in a spiritual sense because a lot of people are dealing with
00:05:38.480 spiritual warfare especially at night and first thing in the morning and the reason for that is
00:05:43.200 that the spirit your enemy that our spiritual enemies they come at us when we're at our most
00:05:47.920 vulnerable they do not they don't want to come at us when we are at our peak performance when we are
00:05:53.560 very cognitive of things that are happening but there is this period of time this gap between
00:05:58.480 when you're when you lay down to sleep and right before you get into a deep sleep you're in this
00:06:04.840 area where you are very very i don't say programmable but you are in a state where
00:06:10.560 you're ready to receive that's interesting you your mind you because you know our conscious
00:06:17.260 mind is what blocks a lot of things from um a lot of spiritual things because you know that's
00:06:23.440 where our skeptical mind is and we're like oh you know god that's fine whatever um but when you but
00:06:30.400 in order to hear from god you need to be in a state where you're receptive to god and our conscious
00:06:34.860 mind is is what's is where we is where we lie we can't lie in our unconscious it's our conscious
00:06:39.880 mind is where we are where we can receive things so in that moment those moments right before you
00:06:44.060 fall asleep is when your conscious mind is tamping down and your unconscious mind that's where you
00:06:48.400 that's where your dreams are that's why you always dream about things that you're trying to figure
00:06:52.080 out and i know uh raven you have a lot of very interesting things we've talked about yeah that's
00:06:56.920 because that's when you're that's when you're conscious and now your skeptical mind is is is
00:07:02.040 is not is not there so you are really in your unconscious and that's where you are open to
00:07:07.520 these things so the whole point of that is it's a great time to start putting in positive thoughts
00:07:12.880 into your mind the things that you want to because their resistance of your conscious mind isn't
00:07:16.480 there. But conversely, it's also a good time for the enemy to attack because whatever is in your
00:07:24.480 mind and that you're agreeing with, we talked about covenants before, that's where they get
00:07:28.560 their power over you. So this idea that God gave me is to help people fall asleep in a state where
00:07:39.820 they are getting the protection the defense the offense the things that they need to fall asleep
00:07:46.540 to and it's going to be different than our spiritual warfare course which is straight education
00:07:50.280 that that doesn't work with with that wouldn't work with this system because that's all conscious
00:07:56.100 mind and you would never go to sleep why is that time period so unique or so like i totally have
00:08:02.340 noticed that that time when you're in between sleep and awake is like the craziest most profound
00:08:08.000 thoughts come up and like creativity happens like these great ideas happen like what do you think
00:08:12.800 that is ed well it's because and this is something that that you know john lindhart my partner will
00:08:17.540 talk about when he when he gets um in next week for bro groving we can have a great conversation
00:08:21.680 about it because your unconscious mind is 90 percent of your of your brain people talk about
00:08:27.460 artificial intelligence and all that stuff there will never be a supercomputer that is more powerful
00:08:31.060 than the human brain because the our we our brain our unconscious brain sees everything even things
00:08:37.740 we aren't consciously aware of that's where subliminal stuff comes in it's aware of everything
00:08:41.580 but only 10 that's what we that's the conscious brain that we are in control over so the reason
00:08:48.120 that time is profound because as i said it is when your conscious mind is is like taking a backseat
00:08:52.860 and your unconscious which is so powerful is it is at the forefront and that's where your behavior
00:08:59.320 comes in that's where your all your your your emotions and all your feelings and all those
00:09:04.640 things are coming into play when you're through your unconscious your unconscious is what controls
00:09:08.820 your heartbeat and your eye blinking and all those sorts of things again 90 of who you are is in that
00:09:15.260 unconscious and it's what controls your behavior your addictions so and you're just real quickly
00:09:21.520 your unconscious is not moral it just follows patterns it's it's job is to help you see reality
00:09:29.700 and to follow patterns so whatever you program into your unconscious mind is what's going to
00:09:33.800 is what's going to come forth during your day.
00:09:37.000 So if the enemy can program you unconsciously
00:09:39.700 as you're falling asleep,
00:09:40.960 then you're going to have a bad night
00:09:43.720 and maybe a bad day.
00:09:45.080 But if you are, you know,
00:09:46.820 programming yourself consciously,
00:09:48.360 so it's going to be a matter of, you know,
00:09:50.260 the right Bible verses,
00:09:51.740 the right affirmations are going to be a part of this.
00:09:53.820 I'm working on the scripts for it now.
00:09:55.660 Yeah, that's what I'm like,
00:09:56.800 I was thinking about because I had went to bed
00:09:59.020 and I was doing...

00:10:29.320 i don't know if they're called binaural beats but they were uh like just like tones this is like
00:10:35.380 years ago and i was using youtube to pull some of these tones and i'll be honest one of them
00:10:42.280 it was like indian flutes or something like that yeah indian flute tones these guys are laughing
00:10:47.260 at me um they were they were giving me crazy dreams like like not just bad dreams but i felt
00:10:53.640 like i was awake the whole night like my eyeballs were open and it was horrific and then some of
00:10:58.280 um some of these uh these uh whatever they're called the frequencies yeah the frequencies
00:11:04.500 it would actually it would like kind of like massage why were you listening to indian flutes
00:11:08.820 dude like i don't know is this before like i was it was kind of popular yeah remember when um
00:11:13.560 maybe it was probably that sleep doctor on there was like a whole era of the rogan podcast that
00:11:19.540 was about the importance of sleep and how to do this that and the other thing and i think a lot
00:11:23.120 of people were trying some weird methodologies this is also not the first time i've done this
00:11:27.180 like i i've said on the show before um when i was like pretty obsessed with uh like getting perfect
00:11:33.080 pitch which is uh being able to hear a musical note and that's right yeah i remember you saying
00:11:36.900 i would play middle c like a tone middle c all through the night that's insane yeah it was it's
00:11:43.120 insane i can't do it anymore with my wife yeah yeah my wife because she won't have it yeah she's
00:11:49.000 like i don't want perfect pitch but i i did it and i was able to internalize the sound so it does
00:11:54.120 were because there's something happening in that sleep state or before after but this is a part of
00:11:58.360 the conversation we had with james i wonder if you if you heard this or not ed but he in in the
00:12:03.720 way that he puts it is that moment in between sleep and waking is when you're passing through
00:12:09.140 the veil and we use that terminology pretty uh loosely on this show and just in these conversations
00:12:15.360 but this veil meaning the the thing that separates us from the the spiritual realm or being able to
00:12:20.580 perceive it um and i guess then the implications of that are once you go through that in your
00:12:25.600 dreams you are more or less in the spiritual realm um but but that that state of passing through it
00:12:32.160 is fascinating because like matt was saying a moment ago you're getting all your ideas during
00:12:37.560 it and maybe as as you're saying it ed it's like maybe instead of just this one-way exchange where
00:12:43.880 you're receiving things or things are happening to you you can go through that veil armed this
00:12:49.200 idea of capturing your thoughts in jesus christ right to to what is it to keep each thought
00:12:54.320 captive in christ yeah take every thought captive yeah so what a thing to do then as you're passing
00:13:00.480 through the veil is to to captive or to to capture your thoughts in christ as you're moving through
00:13:05.660 it and i don't want to ruin your not ruin i don't want to like somebody else steal your idea but
00:13:10.000 like how exactly are you because tones and frequencies can definitely help like massage
00:13:16.160 you into the passing through the veil which is kind of what we're what you want to do like this
00:13:20.840 is strengthening as you go into sleep or come out of it but how how are you going to locate the
00:13:26.280 correct tones because there are some like i said that will have you up tweaking yeah all night and
00:13:32.500 it's weird because like you don't even know the brown note have you ever heard of that well
00:13:35.960 that was a south park episode i don't know if that was real you don't want that note uh before
00:13:42.780 you go to bed wait so there it's known that there's like certain tones or things that will
00:13:47.200 that will keep you up certainly well i don't know yes yes i don't know if these are i i'm just me
00:13:53.680 so i know when i played it my me and my wife were like that sucked and we did it for a couple of
00:13:58.140 days and we were like that sucked then we turned that one off like not good sleep and also not
00:14:02.880 even able to particularly understand why like you get up the next day and you're like what happened
00:14:08.320 to me i feel tired yeah but there's like something that happens on fortnight like i thought i just
00:14:11.940 i'm sorry until like right before bed but if you play fortnight even till like 2 p.m i'll still
00:14:16.820 can't sleep dude oh yeah there's just too much i think that's because you're active you know you're
00:14:21.200 like you've just been like you've been laughing yourself with blue light that it's a lot of
00:14:26.080 colors and sound remember the conversation with vicky joy anderson about uh binaural beatdowning
00:14:31.400 yourself effectively so um let's say hypothetically and this might be a big monkey wrench in the
00:14:36.860 situation but if there are these entities that are utilizing frequency to put you in a state of
00:14:41.480 paralysis and fear and all these different things which i'm very sure right ed that certain
00:14:45.780 frequencies can induce a state of fear i almost think that's uh for certain you know i imagine
00:14:51.700 the military's got a lock on that um well yeah i mean that you can accidentally do that the roar
00:14:57.440 of a lion uh it's it's set at such a frequency that it paralyzes you so you can't do any infrasound
00:15:02.840 so are you how are you going to find these are the tones going to be paired with like scripture
00:15:07.660 or what exactly are you doing all right so so a lot of stuff a lot of stuff there so one yes there
00:15:13.660 are so many different frequencies out there and some of them are are meant to energize and so you
00:15:18.380 shouldn't sleep with with those like especially the higher ones but then there are some that are
00:15:22.120 like been very well studied uh scientifically that um that are intended to put you in a a state where
00:15:30.220 that that's not harmful for example you know you have the the states of alpha beta uh delta
00:15:36.700 and so forth and so on so right now we are all in a beta state of of thinking beta is when you're
00:15:45.040 in your conscious mind alpha is a state when you're when you're meditating that's and meditate
00:15:50.080 i don't mean the transcendental type of meditation i mean the meditating where you're just rolling
00:15:54.020 something around in your mind and you are focused on it so alpha state is focused and then you have
00:15:59.320 the ones that i'm going to use are beta beta excuse me beta is that is the wave you're in
00:16:05.560 when you're in what's called flow like when someone like you know if when a basketball player
00:16:10.300 is in that zone where he just can't miss a shot or when a pitcher pitcher is um is pitching a no
00:16:14.980 hitter they're in a theta state that's that state where you are toggling between your conscious and
00:16:21.000 your unconscious so that's what flow is that's what john talks about all the time so that and
00:16:25.860 then delta is the deep sleep um is a deep sleep tone so so the ones i'll be using are theta and
00:16:33.520 delta theta to help you help you your conscious and your unconscious balance so that you are not
00:16:39.140 being influenced unduly so that there is enough of your conscious brain there to reject that you
00:16:44.960 know any evil thoughts that are coming in and then later on towards the very end of of what's going
00:16:50.580 on there will be um me not me there'll be the voice i have a very soothing voice that will be
00:16:55.760 talking about you know your authority in christ helping you understand that there will be bible
00:17:00.260 verses there where we're going to be talking about that so you're going to be going to sleep
00:17:03.500 with the right with the bible verses and with some of the lessons that are encouraging for as you
00:17:10.240 fall asleep and you'll be in that theta state then at the very end like the last 15 minutes
00:17:13.680 there'll be a delta tone and that will help you get into a deep sleep and that deep sleep is a
00:17:19.040 sleep where you're not dreaming it's the recovering sleep so i did that intentionally so that i don't
00:17:24.800 want people going into it like dreaming bad things if they can help it so how long does the recording
00:17:30.080 go then like uh like when it starts all the way till you get to that last tone you're talking
00:17:34.640 about so initially i'm going to the ones i'm going to put on on youtube are just are going to be like
00:17:39.600 about an hour and a half wow the reason is that that first hour 15 minutes is i want you to get
00:17:46.020 to the point where you are sleeping and you get into sleep with it but but you're still hearing
00:17:50.440 that when you're unconscious um you're unconscious still getting those positive that positive
00:17:54.280 spiritual warfare information and then the last 15 minutes go into a deep sleep well that's that's
00:17:59.100 restorative sleep that i think we all need to just help us be better and i think you're i think
00:18:05.040 you should people should aim for like 20 of their sleep to be deep sleep where it's you're just like
00:18:10.100 dead sleep your your body's recovering and i want to get people into that at the end you belong at

00:18:50.540 the for the whole night and some people are dealing with with things like night terrors
00:18:54.660 yeah and sleep paralysis and there's there's that that 3 a.m um thing i don't know if you've ever
00:18:59.720 experienced that but a lot of times people wake up at 3 a.m and that's considered i know we're
00:19:03.660 getting some woo woo stuff but that's because 3 a.m is considered a time when when that veil
00:19:07.760 is even is even thinner and i've had that happen to me i'll wake up at 3 a.m like why is it 3 a.m
00:19:14.300 all the time then there's there's no scientists will tell you that that's the time when when at
00:19:18.700 3am is when it's when your liver is like you know emptying and things like that so that's why you
00:19:22.540 may get up if you had a bad meal but i think there's more to it than that things are spiritual
00:19:26.080 aspects to it oh yeah god designed us to sleep for a reason and i think that reason is obviously
00:19:31.860 to recover but also i think there's spiritual things happening there and and what do you think
00:19:37.140 about the idea that um that that 3am thing is not inherently evil i mean if the if the veil is
00:19:45.380 getting thinner um could it be potentially a great time this is something else that james brought up
00:19:51.700 uh for prayer to the lord communication with the lord at that time uh and this is what ed is doing
00:19:57.180 i think ed though you need to rename it from binaural beats don't use that because that has
00:20:02.580 a bad when you said it i i react right but they don't make beats they don't make frequencies
00:20:07.760 right that made a face yeah yeah okay no because well binaural beats are it's it's perverted and
00:20:15.000 used for bad it's used for ce5 to call aliens and do this right you know what that's a good point
00:20:20.320 it's a fundamental building block of how this world is made so it's not it's taken and subverted
00:20:25.600 for evil yes but it's probably meant for good it's like the same thing like the pentagram is
00:20:29.760 not inherently evil they did not create the pentagram the the idea that it's the uh uh what
00:20:35.360 that the golden ratio is inside the pentagram the pentagram is is actually like pi or something like
00:20:40.800 it's it's this whole incredible thing with mathematics they didn't create that they didn't
00:20:44.800 create that they only co-opted this frequency based thing that interacts with the mind they
00:20:50.000 didn't create that they only co-opt it and invert it um so if you use these same things but you're
00:20:55.280 aiming them uh spiritually towards god i think that's entirely a different thing it's the same
00:21:00.400 thing where like if you're having uh night terrors from midnight to 3 a.m and that all feels demonic
00:21:06.520 and you think therefore god made three hours in the day that are demonic like no no he didn't do
00:21:14.220 that uh if it's when the veil is thinnest then maybe what we should be doing is waking up and
00:21:19.860 spending some time with the lord or something like that you know be geared towards god that's what
00:21:23.700 yeah exactly take every thought captive in christ maybe particularly at 3 a.m well he'll the other
00:21:29.680 thing is that he will specifically wake you up sometimes like the lord will specifically wake
00:21:33.800 you up like samuel there's biblical context for that where he's calling to him while he's sleeping
00:21:38.960 and stuff but some people know that experience too where he's waking you up and is expecting
00:21:44.140 to communicate at that time and if you try to go back to bed it doesn't work those are great points
00:21:49.520 first of all yeah thank you for bringing that up top and raven i will name it something else
00:21:53.160 because you're right that it does have the taint of of like a woohoo on it same thing but like
00:21:59.120 As above, so below.
00:22:00.240 When you hear that, you think, oh, Aleister Crowley.
00:22:02.220 No, that's a spiritual law that you speak things into one realm so they manifest in the other.
00:22:06.040 That's a law of God.
00:22:07.600 But that nomenclature has been corrupted.
00:22:10.720 Yes.
00:22:11.280 And as you said, co-opted.
00:22:13.160 So, yeah, I'll find a way.
00:22:14.340 I don't want to trigger anyone that way.
00:22:15.560 It's like if you were to say, as above, so below, or as on earth as it is in heaven.
00:22:20.740 Yeah.
00:22:20.940 You know, that's exactly it's the same.
00:22:23.600 It's the same thing.
00:22:24.500 They do not create these ideas and principles.
00:22:27.500 They're only twisting things, but that are what God has created.
00:22:31.380 But you'd be smart to understand the level of propaganda that has been layered over these things.
00:22:36.680 So when when approaching them like an important subject like this, especially if you're doing something that's worthwhile, it sucks if somebody sees it on its face and immediately discards it.
00:22:46.140 Yeah, I could totally see that. Yeah, you know, it's it's a demon now.
00:22:50.780 He's he's gone over to the new age because of that. I totally get it.
00:22:54.080 and matt to your point 3 a.m you're right i've had there's been many times where i've been woken up
00:22:59.080 at 3 a.m sometimes for the for the worst where you know i am being bombarded with bad things but
00:23:03.480 sometimes it's god will say this he will wake me up with an idea or something like that and and
00:23:09.680 and so yeah i think the veil is thin period and so what happens when that veil is thin what comes
00:23:14.920 through that's that's where it's going to be go go you know well or bad but the veil being thin at
00:23:20.680 that time is not inherently a bad thing it could be a good thing and so i'm going to do a series
00:23:26.680 of of these um products of these i've called them products of these videos and one of the i think
00:23:32.240 the first i'm going to do is just basically you know if you're under spiritual attack before bed
00:23:35.820 this is what you know you listen to then i'm going to do another one about you know specifically for
00:23:40.740 for the 3 a.m stuff because i i've been seeing that a lot over the years i want to do something
00:23:45.860 specifically for that and then the mornings we haven't talked about that in detail that's another
00:23:50.680 thing because you're you're going the opposite you go from conscious to unconscious when you go
00:23:55.240 to sleep then on the other hand when you're waking up you you know when you wake up you're in that
00:24:00.120 i used to say um like you know you're insane when you first wake up but you're not insane per se it's
00:24:06.040 just like you're in this odd state i can when i first wake up i can smell things that when i'm
00:24:12.460 fully awake like what was i smelling i think it's because you are in that state where you are
00:24:16.100 experiencing everything through your unconscious brain which is again 99 it's 90 percent of your
00:24:21.720 brain it's nine times more powerful than your conscious brain so you're going to experience
00:24:25.160 things that you when you first wake up that you don't experience later on there are going to be
00:24:30.120 things when you first wake up that make sense to you then then later on in the day you're like what
00:24:33.640 was i thinking it's because you're in that state but as with as when you're falling asleep that's
00:24:39.200 the time when the enemy is going to start telling you you suck you are worthless you're going to
00:24:43.420 have a bad day today you have all these things happening you've got all these problems coming
00:24:47.720 um that you need to deal with and you're going to start your day in a bad state but instead you
00:24:53.600 start i want you to start your day in the authority of god i have to i pray spiritual warfare as soon
00:24:58.780 as i wake up i start binding in the name of jesus everything coming against me and my family and my
00:25:04.380 household for this day because that's when they start at you um and so but if you can wake up
00:25:09.460 when you first are in that uh stage just you know start with this video or it doesn't it sounds
00:25:15.600 basically has to be video because it's on youtube but when if you download the um the audio just
00:25:20.320 know that you're we're going i'm going to be talking to you about the authority you have
00:25:24.440 you're going to take control this day you are they are not more powerful than you if you are
00:25:29.360 a christian you are more powerful than satan himself because you have the spirit of god in
00:25:33.560 And you take that authority, walk in that authority and pray that authority immediately over yourself, over your life.
00:25:39.240 And because what you speak and what you agree with in those early morning hours is going to shape the rest of your day.
00:25:45.720 And if you keep doing this for maybe 30, 90 days in a row, I think it's going to have a fantastic effect on your life.
00:25:51.140 It's a funny thing that you're saying this, too, because just today and this whole week from about Tuesday, I've been doing an experiment where when I wake up, because my business is digital.
00:26:02.860 all my businesses are the first thing i do the emails the text messages what's happened and then
00:26:10.760 you end you end up on twitter and you go f this guy that sounds like torture yeah dude i mean it
00:26:16.120 is torture so for uh from tuesday wednesday thursday today's friday i didn't look at my phone
00:26:23.480 earlier like when i woke up for about an hour and a half you've been a little not so not so nasty
00:26:29.000 not so nasty yeah he almost said nice but he just said well not so nasty it's hard to even get it
00:26:35.300 out because i'm like mr nasty yeah wait you have been a little bit nicer lately is that why yeah
00:26:40.180 you don't wake up and go straight to the tweeter bro and like all the digital stuff twitter it's
00:26:44.620 yeah but it's like well that's part of the job or even emails and texts not right the second you
00:26:49.700 wake up it's not well i'm up before my kids so that's when i can do it i do like this idea though
00:26:55.220 of like oh go ahead i'm sorry yeah that's just when i can do it but it's not a good time so for
00:27:00.560 three three or four days you went straight in the scripture right when you got up this week
00:27:04.240 no i got up i did push-ups i did whatever i did other stuff look good and stop it see this guy
00:27:09.800 this guy is such a wanker complimentary um i was i was a lot more productive this week and i was
00:27:15.600 able to have a clear mind today you heard me talking to my wife before yeah and i'm like yeah
00:27:19.800 today's been a funky day because i woke up and i was like i have a lot of shit to do well and i'm
00:27:23.580 just like knocking stuff out and it's like this thing from the morning poisoned my brain yeah
00:27:29.140 and it's been bad there's a thing bell and i were talking about because i'm trying to like help her
00:27:34.180 with life because i'm realizing she's got all the same like uh she's got life now issues or whatever
00:27:38.900 that i have though like with the way our brains operate and there is this thing where like you get
00:27:44.200 up and you think you have to solve all the world's problems in the next five minutes you know what i'm
00:27:48.040 talking about is that what you're saying like you wake up and you think like there's like that five
00:27:51.520 minute thing where you're like i gotta get all this stuff resolved like right like your brain
00:27:54.780 starts to do that david in a way because there are well i mean let's just wait i'm not i'm not
00:27:59.380 shout out to doc brown doc brown uh messaged us yesterday both of us yeah i answered him because
00:28:06.540 i let it sit there for a while david doesn't care no for me that sits on my brain and but i also
00:28:12.200 don't have the mental capacity or the faculties to answer somebody in a meaningful way so i won't do
00:28:18.980 it for a while i don't know if this makes any sense but it weighs on me yeah so yeah so when
00:28:22.900 yeah unread emails unread text like that's fine that weighs on me too i gotta get to them especially
00:28:27.860 if you come from like the background i came from at work is like every email is like scratching
00:28:32.380 lottery tickets like it could that could be a purchase order or whatever it could be a nightmare
00:28:36.140 or something awesome yeah so it's just like i also feel like it's my job too like for you know this
00:28:41.300 we're podcasters or whatever you want to call us but when we get messages on twitter or wherever
00:28:46.680 i feel like it's my job to at the very least read each of these and sometimes i'll just give like a
00:28:52.580 thumbs up and sometimes i'll answer if i have the capacity but it's a lot but not first thing in the
00:28:57.720 morning dude that's just too much on your spirit bro it is it's a lot it's a lot i think the
00:29:01.700 priority should be and i like what ed's talking about this this is going into this much larger
00:29:07.060 theme of once again like taking all these thoughts captive in jesus christ right so if that's the
00:29:12.080 first thing you're doing as soon as you go to sleep and the first or i'm sorry the last thing
00:29:16.420 when you go to sleep and the first thing you're doing in the morning that's torture no no i'm not
00:29:19.960 i'm not twitter that's a nightmare you guys see what i'm doing though like the last thing i go to
00:29:24.820 this is just my life this is how i work because i'm grinding i'm trying to make make something
00:29:28.900 um but the last thing i'm doing it's not about the money it's about building the thing
00:29:33.380 yeah so the last thing i'm doing all the time i'm like hey check this shit out just did something
00:29:38.480 and then i'm up and i'm and i'm building more and it'll it'll it'll make you crazy and i'm like
00:29:43.120 all right then i've got to step away from it a little bit because it's just it's a never-ending
00:29:47.580 day but when your life's that busy that's why you have to read scripture right when you wake up
00:29:52.200 because otherwise the day is just going to get away from you there's no way you're going to do
00:29:55.680 it well you gotta make that habit yeah let's talk just for a moment about the difference between
00:30:00.720 you know your responsibilities that that that you maybe want to start thinking about immediately
00:30:05.440 because you have so much to do today versus a spiritual attack and there can be a little bit
00:30:10.020 crossover between them because as you said top you got a lot of stuff to do the same thing you
00:30:13.740 know with me when i wake up in the morning i i start thinking okay here's the things i need to
00:30:17.540 accomplish today and and i oh crap i gotta do this that and the other and so if you're in you
00:30:22.880 could get in a bad mood over it but the difference when it's a spiritual attack is the methodology
00:30:27.740 and what and if you feel in fear waking up when something is telling you not just you got to do
00:30:34.440 a b and c but you're gonna but the fear attached to it that if you don't do this yeah the anxiety
00:30:39.320 anxiety thank you yeah anxiety is huge because that's not normal it's it is normal to think
00:30:43.700 you guys i got a lot to do today and it's going to be a burden it's going to be a chore because
00:30:47.880 sometimes we have days like that and so yeah we just definitely start with scripture and with
00:30:51.760 and spending our time with the lord and and then we can start thinking about how our day is going
00:30:56.500 to be a crap a crap show because because of what it is but when it's specifically fear anxiety when
00:31:03.060 you can feel it in your heart that tightening and and i know i'm talking to people right now
00:31:06.700 who are who know exactly what i'm saying they can relate to it that's from the enemy and that's what
00:31:11.460 you need to cast out immediately and yeah that's what you know that's how i want people to start
00:31:15.900 their mornings and that's why i'm doing this to get rid of that and then get in then get into
00:31:21.740 contact with the lord and and do your prayers and get ready and then you know conscious mind is up
00:31:27.680 and added and you can get ready for your day we all have stuff we have to do during the day but
00:31:30.560 that should be the process how about the idea ed of like taking those fears and anxieties and and
00:31:35.600 giving them up to god right so i've found in my own personal life very recently because everybody
00:31:42.160 you know i know i say this ad nauseum but i'm very new in my walk and there's still things that are
00:31:46.780 like revelations to me that for some people are like you know if you've been in in scripture your
00:31:51.600 whole life you go like yeah dude that's in the bible um but as i come to realize it and implement
00:31:56.500 it in my life it's it's very meaningful and i you know we all have our own anxieties and
00:32:01.500 And and recently I was kind of wrestling with something and I came deliberately to God in a number of days, which also was something I wasn't too sure about, because it's like if you lay something at God's feet once, do you do it again another day?
00:32:17.180 Or is that a lack of faith that he didn't hear you the first time?
00:32:20.040 Is it vain repetition?
00:32:21.520 If I'm saying, you know, there's like a lot of kind of questioning there.
00:32:24.220 And I'm talking to God about that, too.
00:32:25.880 I'm saying these things out loud.
00:32:26.900 But like I noticed after a couple of days of bringing that to God, I.

00:33:03.560 Stop feeling that tightness in my chest.
00:33:06.200 And it's like, what should I have done then?
00:33:09.240 Probably done that sooner.
00:33:10.540 probably not suffered those things in fact probably gave it up in the morning when i woke
00:33:15.980 up and i felt those things because that is true like before you go to sleep and when you wake up
00:33:20.540 in the morning you do have a tendency to run through the rolodex of all of the things that
00:33:25.060 happen during the day or happen during the week they all come upon you just as you go to sleep
00:33:29.020 and they're all right there in your face as soon as you wake up if that really did alleviate me
00:33:34.320 and if that really did bring me because right god gives us a spirit of peace and of sound mind
00:33:38.560 And that's 100% what you need when you're experiencing this anxiety.
00:33:42.080 I should have just done it faster.
00:33:43.620 So to have done it right in the morning, like to spend some time and maybe maybe not even overcomplicating it either.
00:33:50.740 Right. It's like just talking to God and having that relationship.
00:33:54.580 That's one of the things that you've taught me to a great deal on this show is like God wants a relationship with you.
00:34:00.220 So have a relationship with him. Talk to him like he's your father.
00:34:03.440 and so um it doesn't have to be and maybe i'm wrong or maybe i'm kind of right but it doesn't
00:34:08.500 have to be this big complicated thing it's just like bringing these things to your father and
00:34:13.580 and unloading them and then saying like i i kind of put it on him i was like god you're supposed
00:34:19.620 to give me a spirit of peace and of sound mind and and so i don't want this thing and i can't
00:34:25.340 fix this thing on my own so i'm giving this to you um but to have just done that sooner would
00:34:30.920 have been to be alleviated sooner and and so maybe as soon as you wake up is the move yeah so a few
00:34:37.420 things there some great points so one is what before i answer that before i answer that i want
00:34:42.960 to just circle back to one more thing about how to know that it's a spiritual attack versus just
00:34:46.700 hey you know i just got a crap ton of dude today and it's weighing on me and that is knowing your
00:34:51.380 triggers this is one thing one of the things we teach in the class because and we've talked about
00:34:55.280 it on this show before is that the enemy is always going to come at you at the same way because your
00:34:59.020 enemy knows what triggers you they know what's going to get you to fall and so if you are being
00:35:03.860 attacked in the morning within those triggers those areas where you know you are always vulnerable
00:35:09.280 that's another way to know that it's a spiritual attack and it's not just you you know knowing that
00:35:13.980 you're going to have a lot to do today and there's a lot of things weighing on you and blah blah
00:35:17.600 so to your other point um raven about you know when you bring something to the lord and say
00:35:23.560 lord i prayed over there i laid it at your feet and then you come back and and is that a lack of
00:35:28.080 faith that's a good point because i struggle with that myself because you know you ask for something
00:35:32.380 and it doesn't happen quickly it's a week a month a year passes and you're like if i keep asking for
00:35:38.120 this am i showing a lack of faith is that why it's taking so long the answer to that is you can bring
00:35:43.780 it up again but bring it up in this way thank him for it say god i thank you that you are going to
00:35:49.440 let's say for for you know one of the things i'm praying for right now is i want to make faith by
00:35:53.380 reason my full-time job i want to spend the rest of my life just doing this and i've asked god for
00:35:57.900 that i know he wants it for me it's not it is happening but it's not complete so what do i do
00:36:03.820 do i keep asking for it no i say god i thank you that you gave me this vision and i thank you that
00:36:10.120 you are fulfilling it and i thank you that you are growing me and getting me to the point where
00:36:13.980 this thing is going to be beyond what i could imagine you're going to do exceedingly abundantly
00:36:19.120 above all that i can ask or think what i'm asking you for you're going to go beyond that and i thank
00:36:23.360 you for being the great the great god who goes beyond me so that's what you do you you mention
00:36:28.740 it again but from a standpoint of gratitude because again as you said raven you talk to god
00:36:33.280 like your father if your kid comes to you and he says you know dad i want to i'm thinking about my
00:36:37.920 kids you know dad i i want i want to um not to play what's the the switch the nintendo's the
00:36:43.340 new nintendo switch to your switch to which i already got it for their birthday yeah yeah i
00:36:49.740 got yeah april was their birthday they're both born in april um so obviously we know my wife
00:36:55.000 and our fertility uh period is by the way two birthdays in one month is always a nightmare
00:37:00.900 but yeah well you know it was great when they were younger i could combine the birthdays and
00:37:05.180 now they want their separate birthdays but in any case when they came to me and i said what do you
00:37:09.660 want for your for your birthday we want to switch to and if they came to me every day i want to
00:37:13.920 switch to i want to switch to i want to switch to i get pissed off but if they say you know dad
00:37:17.100 thanks for i know i'm getting that on my birthday and i just want to say thanks godfrey thanks thanks
00:37:21.740 dad for getting me that and if they said to me if they said every day dad thanks for getting me that
00:37:27.140 switch that's coming up on my birthday i'd have a completely different disposition towards them
00:37:31.780 than if they said dad can have a switch dad can have a switch dad can have a switch so i think
00:37:35.940 it's the same way with god i i think i would kind of laugh like if my son was doing that i'd be like
00:37:40.700 all right he's thanking me preemptively for something i'd be like i like your style bro
00:37:45.380 a switch was something we used to pull off of a bush in the backyard yes and my grandmother
00:37:50.980 would beat the crap out of me with it yeah you know i i think there's also something to like um
00:37:55.560 you know i'm not this hyper intellectual christian by any stretch of the imagination
00:38:02.460 um stop nodding man and yeah i don't like the way matt's nodding but i mean i guess he's not wrong
00:38:07.660 And, you know, like my ability to recite scripture, highly limited, my reading pace, very slow, all sorts of faults that I have.
00:38:17.440 But I do think I've gotten to this place where I'm kind of understanding, could be wrong, kind of understanding that even if you're bringing something to God and you're flawed in your approach,
00:38:28.860 you know let's say whether or not you are having faith and whether or not you should be grateful
00:38:35.700 for the thing that's coming it is faith to bring it to god at all to to talk to god about anything
00:38:42.320 um and ask him to alleviate anything is faith in god especially if you're doing it first
00:38:49.040 before you exalt all the or i'm sorry uh before you exhaust thank you all the things that the
00:38:57.380 world could do to alleviate this issue to bring it straight to the lord uh even if it's in this
00:39:03.080 flawed and clunky way is faith and i think he he might be pumped about that okay i want to bring
00:39:09.260 up something that actually last sunday because with our spiritual warfare course we do our two
00:39:14.100 hour um private coaching on on the fourth sunday of the month so that was last sunday that we were
00:39:19.380 john and i were with our students and we were talking about and one of the students came with
00:39:24.260 a question and they were talking about you know what about when i get mad at god and what about
00:39:30.180 when i just don't feel like he's doing right by me um but but i but i don't want to say that to
00:39:35.300 him because i don't want to dishonor him i want to just say oh god you're the greatest i love you
00:39:39.220 blah blah blah but i don't want to say about talk about the things that i were after he's letting me
00:39:43.140 down we're like no you absolutely first of all god can take it it's not like he's some you know
00:39:48.900 some some shrinking violent by by violet not violent violent he and he wants that and if you
00:39:55.620 look at some of the psalms some of the psalms of david because he wrote some of them when he was
00:39:59.700 running from saul you know when when when he was you know he hadn't become king yet and you know
00:40:03.780 saul was still giving him grief they would he would say like oh god why are you so far from me
00:40:08.260 you know i i reach for you in the day and i don't and i don't hear from you i i'm obviously
00:40:12.180 paraphrasing terribly you know i try to get to you at night and i don't hear from you and you're not
00:40:16.580 hear from me. And he's basically complaining to God about his situation. But all of those Psalms
00:40:21.220 end with him saying, but you're still God. I still praise you, so forth and so on. So it is perfectly
00:40:26.820 okay to complain to God, to tell him anything, not just the reverential stuff that we do in church
00:40:32.640 and with the other church. Actually, it reminds me, Tom, I was listening to an episode you guys
00:40:36.700 did maybe a week or so ago where you were going in after the Orthodox people again, which is,
00:40:40.980 I love it.
00:40:42.920 I love that you are just giving these people the grief that they deserve because you are
00:40:47.880 not a Christian because you belong to an organization.
00:40:50.100 You are a Christian because you accepted Jesus in your life and don't feel bad about if
00:40:54.500 you do it all, you probably don't.
00:40:56.020 But if you keep getting after these guys and they still complain about it in the chat,
00:40:59.880 so what?
00:41:00.160 Keep complaining.
00:41:00.860 You are wrong.
00:41:01.860 You are not a Christian because you go to a building, just like you're not a car if
00:41:05.400 you sit in the garage.
00:41:06.540 You are a Christian because you accepted Jesus, period.
00:41:09.300 it is not about rituals of the church fathers okay enough with that rant but um my point is
00:41:15.900 when you when you talk to god that way he he loves that because what you're doing you're telling him
00:41:21.480 i believe in you because you're not complaining to someone who you don't believe is who you believe
00:41:27.440 isn't really there and god already knows that you're mad at him he already knows that you're
00:41:32.580 blaming him you're not hiding these things from him it would actually be more of an insult if you
00:41:36.800 were blamed and we've all i've gone through it i've one of the things i say most often to god
00:41:40.500 is i hate the way you do things i know the way you do things are right and perfect and the best
00:41:45.220 way but i hate the process and god's like i know you hate the process i'm not hiding this from him
00:41:49.920 it's not like if i don't say it he's gonna not know yeah yeah so it's like when adam and eve
00:41:55.600 were hiding in the garden and he's asking well of course he knows where they are of course he
00:42:00.220 knows what's on your heart yeah nobody knows your heart but god it's kind of course god knows i like
00:42:04.960 So going through all these rituals and lighting candles and rubbing rosary beads and all that kind of stuff, I don't believe God respects that at all.
00:42:13.980 It's like you're being fake.
00:42:15.800 You don't want to rub this bead.
00:42:16.900 You don't want to light a candle.
00:42:18.280 You want to just be who you are because you're not fooling me.
00:42:21.500 And by you trying to fool me, you're telling me I don't exist because you're telling me that I'm not omnipresent, that I'm not understanding you.
00:42:28.780 You're basically trying to fool me.
00:42:30.180 And if you think you can fool me, you don't really think I'm real.
00:42:32.280 And if you don't think I'm real, then why should I bother with you?
00:42:35.280 But if you're going to be real, be real, because God already knows it.
00:42:38.540 That's what a relationship is.
00:42:40.640 You are sharing fully with someone, and that's what God wants.
00:42:45.780 Yesterday, we're doing a Hebrews study with our friend Otis Fowler.
00:42:51.780 And he's like, Matt, could you just open up?
00:42:54.260 Otis goes to a church, I guess like a non-denominational, and he's kind of like in the church, and he's doing stuff.
00:42:59.060 Matt obviously is not.
00:43:00.160 and during the prayer when you said
00:43:03.080 we're praying
00:43:04.120 and you said God man thank you for bringing
00:43:06.780 some real ones here and
00:43:08.520 you know my white hot hatred
00:43:10.700 of the church
00:43:12.180 you said white hot hatred
00:43:14.460 of the church
00:43:15.420 I never ever hate the church
00:43:17.420 of the 501c3
00:43:19.320 and he said it
00:43:22.200 and I started laughing during the prayer
00:43:24.240 but it's kind of rude
00:43:26.020 it's very rude
00:43:26.900 you know why it's true imagine if you're talking to a person to ed's point imagine if i'm talking
00:43:34.160 and say hey top can i get this hold on let me rub this charm let me rub this rosary bead and let me
00:43:38.980 rub the next one it's you would be like top you'd be like bro are you manipulating me right now like
00:43:43.300 what are you doing you're like rubbing this charm to try to ask me for stuff yeah you're like saying
00:43:47.740 chance you're like saying these prayers over and over and like a chant repetition i feel like
00:43:52.360 you're kind of like trying to manipulate me into something why don't you just talk to me like a
00:43:55.860 real person just that like like in Matt's heart he's like you know I hate this thing and I'm just
00:44:01.100 gonna say and Otis I looked at Otis as he said it and Otis was kind of like you belong at Loyalist

00:44:32.500 slash app day damn like white hot like i don't even remember praying just don't ask me to pray
00:44:39.700 unless you like want to hear it because i was good i wanted to hear it i kind of muddle through
00:44:44.320 that too though like when i'm talking to god i will say a thing and i'll almost kind of trail
00:44:48.580 off and then it'll follow it up with like but you already know this well yeah but i don't want to
00:44:52.500 sound like a hypocrite to god if i'm praying oh no we weren't in the room you were talking right
00:44:57.280 to god oh yeah i know you have what do you mean like you got to remind me of that like well that
00:45:01.320 is what i appreciate about you is is i used to bust your chops when you would you know like here's
00:45:06.080 the thing around him in the beginning when he would pray but he prays just like he talks it's
00:45:09.380 the honesty of somebody that somebody that goes to the church and and likes it like and you know
00:45:14.680 what he's i think otis does a good job with like the kids and what he's doing in the church and
00:45:18.440 all that the honesty of like well i'm talking to god you asked me to talk to god maybe it's autism
00:45:23.800 not honesty on your part and you just go hate that hate it so much here's like a very good
00:45:30.200 descriptive verb and how much i hate it white hot hatred come on somebody but you're being you're
00:45:35.980 being real hey you guys remember uh well you passed away recently fairly recently the dmx the
00:45:40.980 rapper yeah yeah yeah oh yeah he would talk he was like he's not like a pit bull but yeah i don't
00:45:47.340 know if you if you guys ever heard him pray because he would go on youtube sometimes and he
00:45:50.400 would because he was a christian i mean like every three songs on his albums this is how you know
00:45:55.880 that i was like in coney island was a prayer yeah like a seven minute prayer yeah but dmx would pray
00:46:02.140 like he rapped i mean he was he was he was raw i mean i listened to his prayer like dude you are
00:46:06.820 praying exactly how you rap and that heart that hardcore that harsh that pitbull growl yeah and
00:46:13.120 god's like yes that's what i want that is you you are talking to me like who you are and i and so
00:46:19.240 yeah and that's what he wants he wants that wrong deal man that's a that's a big deal that's that's
00:46:24.340 something that uh maybe we should start reviewing dmx prayers that would be dope that would be dope
00:46:29.140 that would be cool you know that is the thing though it's like why would you ever switch over
00:46:34.500 and you hear some people sometimes and i don't know only god knows their heart but like you hear
00:46:38.660 and people pray and it's a very performative way or they pray in a way that they put on the pastor
00:46:43.920 voice let's say well it's religious spirits dude you call them whatever you want but there's
00:46:48.520 religious spirits running the 501c3 system today and that's what's creating that voice and that
00:46:53.560 vibe and that way you talk like that don't you think god's like dude i know you don't sound like
00:46:57.880 that yeah that's not from the natural realm there's something influencing that from the unseen
00:47:02.260 realm that's creating that like modern church culture in that way of speaking in that way of
00:47:08.320 praying yeah and it's like if you can't order a steak like that don't talk to god like that
00:47:13.080 you try to unpack that that thing like okay yeah there's a spirit behind it but like
00:47:17.140 um what is your what are you trying to accomplish when you do that when you put a voice on when you
00:47:22.720 pretend how should we pray i think it's just the go-to it's just that's all they know i i think
00:47:27.540 it's clear it's close to what jesus was saying about the pharisees when i think it's in in the
00:47:32.440 in the uh the gospel of john when he talks about them you know when he calls them you know white
00:47:36.500 watched tombs filled with dead men's bones he said that when you pray he he was doing this is
00:47:41.020 why jesus was such a badass because he was he would say this stuff to while the pharisees were
00:47:44.920 standing there he's saying don't be like the pharisees who try to i'm going to paraphrase
00:47:49.580 who who who are all about appearances they when they fast they walk through the street saying oh
00:47:55.280 my stomach oh to make people think oh what a great what a great person you are for fasting no you
00:48:00.400 fast privately because it's between you and god you don't you don't have to wear the finest things
00:48:04.480 Because, you know, I grew up in a church where, you know, you had to dress up every Sunday.
00:48:07.860 Nothing wrong with dressing up.
00:48:09.280 But God doesn't give you extra brownie points if you come to church in a suit versus jeans and a T-shirt.
00:48:14.720 But the Pharisees were all about appearances.
00:48:16.820 They were all about vain repetition.
00:48:18.720 They were all about trying to sound that way.
00:48:20.240 So, Matt, I think with these pastors, and I agree with you, it makes me physically sick.
00:48:24.120 That's why I can't watch Christian television anymore.
00:48:26.500 Because he's got, they use this voice, this whispering voice where, oh, Lord, you're just so wonderful.
00:48:32.020 I'm like, you don't talk like that.
00:48:33.760 talk like a man clutch him and talk like a like a real man don't give me this mealy mouth soft
00:48:40.780 partially whispering religious voice when you pray god you're not fooling god and you put the
00:48:47.140 tremble in their voice there was like a it's like a live version of this song that i like it's called
00:48:52.420 raise the hallelujah it's an old song and in the beginning of this live version this guy's given a
00:48:57.240 testimony of a young kid who was airlifted to the hospital he's in the stands wow and they thought
00:49:01.700 he was going to die and he had like there's like a miracle happened the entire church is praying
00:49:06.180 for this kid a miracle happened the kid's alive in the stands and that's like the the that's how
00:49:13.080 that song was written and i was like what an amazing what an amazing thing because it was a
00:49:17.860 real moment a real moment and and as he's giving the story of this kid's testimony he's doing it
00:49:24.620 in that voice and i was like like dog everything else is so real about this even the song itself
00:49:30.680 it was like why are you doing goosebumps because telling you that's religious spirits that's not
00:49:35.260 like a natural how can those two things exist though together like so on on one hand the song
00:49:41.600 is written and it's in written in a way where you can look at it and go oh man it's written
00:49:47.600 about this kid and he's like this song came on my heart as we're all praying for this
00:49:52.360 and the melody came to my mind and i wrote this same dude but then you're telling everyone about
00:49:58.000 it on stage with your acoustic guitar in that voice like from well you'd hear about that with
00:50:02.400 dudes like william brandon back in the day and stuff you'd hear that they would operate under
00:50:06.000 two different spirits that like they would operate under the power of the holy spirit sometimes and
00:50:09.680 they'd operate under another spirit because that song i mean when you start the song when when he
00:50:14.640 starts singing it it's like a roaring lion the way he his phrasing is the way his voice projects
00:50:20.720 when he's talking to me and telling me about how the song was written i was like
00:50:24.720 this person goes to an lgbtq church you know what i mean it's probably how can these two things
00:50:29.760 probably comes from something real like probably the first time anybody did that they were on the
00:50:33.760 verge of tears actually moved by the holy spirit somebody heard that was like that's powerful then
00:50:38.640 somebody emulated it and same guy so i'm saying like that kind of like let's say for example the
00:50:43.760 trembling yeah you know where they go like in the mighty name of like somebody probably did that for
00:50:49.040 real the first time something pretty close to it because they were moved to almost tears while they
00:50:53.120 they were talking and then somebody else was like that was powerful and then emulated it and then
00:50:58.380 it just turned into a thing like it probably is rooted in something real uh but then gets twisted
00:51:03.600 and bastardized i would want to give this person the benefit of the doubt and say that there may
00:51:09.260 be two minds happening here he has a genuine experience but he's also been raised in a churchy
00:51:15.160 environment where he thinks i have this real experience experience but but i've got to church
00:51:19.640 it now so that it pleases god so maybe his heart is in the right place but he believes and i don't
00:51:25.160 i don't know this i'm just but it's all he knows but it's all i know so i'm trying to give him the
00:51:28.540 benefit of the doubt of saying that maybe there aren't necessarily two maybe there are two spirits
00:51:33.260 he's dealing with with the churchy spirit and the genuine spirit and maybe he doesn't know that
00:51:37.020 there's a difference but hopefully the holy spirit can work on him to where he can see that difference
00:51:41.700 but but understanding that the holy spirit is working through the holy spirit is speaking to
00:51:46.420 everyone all the time you have to be able to listen to it and to the spirit and then execute
00:51:52.620 it so it could be a point where even one of these preachers one of these 501c3 preachers and by the
00:51:57.020 way i've got to say that faith i reason is a 501c3 but i'm not i'm not wanting to do the voice
00:52:01.680 i'm a 501c3 not because of like tax shelter or tax credit it's not even about that it's just
00:52:09.800 we used to call it the denominational church and then people were like well i'm not denomination
00:52:13.980 it's like 501c3 system just means like announcements songs and a guy gives a speech like i know yeah
00:52:20.300 i'm being facetious man i know what you mean i know what you meant by that well no i because
00:52:23.920 sometimes people are like you're against 501c3 i'm like no actually i'm not i think it's probably
00:52:27.400 that's great if somebody has that but it's just like that system i don't know what else to call
00:52:31.100 welcome to faith by reason where you're gonna go and get a blessing every day and when you wake up
00:52:37.000 in the morning there'll be a hot apple pie in front of your door from jesus church say faith
00:52:40.580 by reason all right i'm sorry but but but but but just to wrap it up i think that you can have a
00:52:46.300 person who even some of these preachers who we believe are fake and may be fake once in a while
00:52:52.540 the holy spirit could speak through them to some person and they'll just get like a a sentence or a
00:52:57.740 word that that the spirit speaks to someone in the audience that they needed to hear at that point
00:53:02.720 you can be a joel olstein's church who to me is like the biggest well not the biggest he i think
00:53:08.640 he's pretty fraudulent but he could actually say something that you'll get sued yeah that's what
00:53:14.160 i'm gonna say i believe it is my personal opinion allegedly that that that you know he's not i
00:53:19.880 wouldn't i would not use him as my model but he could say something i could actually inspire
00:53:23.160 someone and that could be a word that god that god needed to say to this person so yeah that's
00:53:27.080 obviously all that yeah no that's what we've been dealing with and uh all right go ahead and say
00:53:30.900 i know i was just gonna say you know that our church is very similar i i mock it relentlessly
00:53:36.540 um but then the sermon will come about and it'll be directly related to exactly what i was going
00:53:43.560 through and not in some way where you can speak to something in such a general way that it applies
00:53:49.980 to a lot of people yes thank you so friend schizofren's been here before he's quite forgot
00:53:54.820 your real name but uh very cool yeah schizofren has actually been here in the building yeah thank
00:53:59.000 you i appreciate that the sentiment thank you so much for saying that but that's totally a thing
00:54:03.560 where like you're listening to a preacher it's really connecting but sometimes it can be done
00:54:10.060 in such a general way that it applies to like everybody's life and then other times it's honed
00:54:13.800 in in a very specific topic in a very specific message and it's uncanny and then it keeps hitting
00:54:19.420 too like they're talking for whatever length of time this sermon is and it's like a layer of
00:54:24.860 specificity followed by another layer do you wear another layer do you wear hawaiian shirts yeah yeah
00:54:30.680 And he's like, maybe you're somebody who's vaguely homosexual looking and wears Hawaiian shirts.
00:54:36.300 He's like, Ms. Cleo.
00:54:37.340 I feel like this guy's talking to me, bro.
00:54:39.820 So, you know, yeah, it happens.
00:54:41.620 It is true.
00:54:42.580 Well, that's what the fortune teller, like, you know, remember back in the day, Ms. Cleo would do.
00:54:45.540 It's like, you know, call me now.
00:54:47.040 I feel like there's someone out there that says, I think you're calling me on the phone, aren't you?
00:54:51.200 I knew it.
00:54:53.120 Yeah, yeah.
00:54:53.700 Yeah, but that happens in church, man.
00:54:55.460 The guy stands up.
00:54:56.340 He says he's a prophet.
00:54:57.100 And he goes, the Lord is saying somebody here has a headache.
00:54:59.380 you know stand up it's like exactly yeah somebody here has lower back pain
00:55:04.460 we're all getting by the same chemtrails like we all there's someone who had an argument with
00:55:09.920 their with their spouse this morning yeah yeah so i mean that's the thickness i agree though uh
00:55:19.140 even joel olstein kenneth copeland they're still going to say something uh because god uses all
00:55:24.860 things right i know there's scripture that says like all things work to the glory of god or
00:55:28.200 something of that effect and it's like well as i mean as my old as my old mentor chuck misser
00:55:32.480 would say if god could speak through balaam's donkey he can speak to anyone you know yeah
00:55:37.540 that's a tough one because there is old video of him where he was like not a madman like he
00:55:44.680 was like a normal is that when his head was normal size because it's gigantic yeah and his eyes like
00:55:49.280 he just looked like a normal person and that was a dude who was like in the word of god for a long
00:55:53.860 time so he probably but i i think the money and fame corruption is not that not that there's
00:55:58.360 anything inherently wrong with with money or or anything inherently wrong with being popular but
00:56:02.260 if you if you make that your altar i'm going back to what james i still want to finish reading it
00:56:07.500 listening to that episode he's talking about altars you can make you can make yourself an
00:56:11.360 altar and if you get all this i mean how do you think that satan lucifer he fell because he
00:56:16.420 pride he was he was a worship leader in heaven and he started saying hey i need some of this
00:56:22.400 worship should go to me he made himself an altar an altar of himself and that's how he fell and if
00:56:27.080 you start out as you're you know you're a good preacher a good man or woman of god and you start
00:56:31.160 getting all these accolades if you don't reflect them back to god and you start taking it into
00:56:35.360 yourself and you start accepting worship you're gonna fall and it's probably uh it's probably
00:56:42.800 even like ties into this whole thing of lay not up uh treasures on earth but do lay up treasures
00:56:47.620 in heaven i don't think there's anything wrong with a dude like getting money and having money
00:56:51.640 on the earth but it's like yeah it's this mindset uh of like you lose the other worldliness and it
00:56:57.640 just becomes about this world you know what i mean it's like if you do a good job and you live
00:57:02.100 in america you might end up with some money you probably will you know but like it does that
00:57:07.320 become your whole life and yeah to your point ed if like the dude kenneth copeland is like
00:57:11.960 just sold out for just strictly for the money because i remember rappers talking about that
00:57:16.140 they were like you could make a good living and stay real like you don't have to sell out
00:57:19.780 to be, like, filthy, rotten, rich.
00:57:22.840 Like, the same thing goes for preachers.
00:57:24.500 There's actually a lot of similarities.
00:57:26.060 It's not just, I mean, when you finish preachers and rappers,
00:57:29.180 I like that.
00:57:29.800 When you finish our second half.
00:57:30.940 They like jewelry, all of them.
00:57:32.420 That's true, yeah.
00:57:33.580 No, I'm just saying about, like, keeping it real.
00:57:35.720 Like, that was always the thing.
00:57:36.940 When I remember listening to rap,
00:57:38.000 it was, like, the sellouts and then the real ones.
00:57:39.900 And it doesn't have anything to do with, like, forsaking money.
00:57:43.040 It was just, like, you don't have to sell out for the money.
00:57:45.260 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:57:46.060 And you'll be an apostle, says,
00:57:47.400 every spirit that confessed that Jesus Christ has come
00:57:49.380 in the flesh is from God. Every spirit
00:57:51.480 that does not confess Jesus is
00:57:53.360 not from God. Yeah, that's what it says.
00:57:55.020 Yeah, that's the spirit of antichrist.
00:57:57.000 So, toward the end of our episode,
00:57:59.340 I think one of the, it's probably one of the most
00:58:01.440 fascinating conversations we've had
00:58:03.440 is we were talking a little bit about that with
00:58:05.380 James, and I was
00:58:07.520 saying that, you know, we're grinding,
00:58:09.460 I'm working hard so that way I could
00:58:11.440 secure a future for my kids for
00:58:13.480 later and, like, build up all this stuff,
00:58:15.600 but we got into the conversation of not just general the opposite of generational iniquity
00:58:21.300 i feel like this kind of this episode is a little bit about that the opposite of these things we
00:58:25.480 we're dealing with uh binaural beats well what's the opposite of that yeah you know what i mean
00:58:28.900 like is there a heavenly realm to that um generational iniquity there's an opposite to
00:58:33.500 that and the opposite to that is generational blessings right like when you've got like
00:58:38.560 six generations and and you've had you had this as well like the reason matt's here is because
00:58:44.020 his grandfather was a christian had a bible left it to him is that the same one that you it can't
00:58:50.180 be the same one that you always bring in right it's yeah but like that bible i got it it's on my
00:58:55.460 it's on my desk in the morning because it's a chain reference bible so like so i reference it a lot
00:58:59.780 when i'm like reading a passage i'll go to it check it real quick to see what other stuff it
00:59:03.700 references so that's like a physical reference from the generational blessing of your grandfather
00:59:09.540 And we were talking with James a little bit about like, yeah, man,
00:59:12.620 it's cool to have money to leave behind for your kids or house or whatever it
00:59:15.960 is. But it was like, how do we leave? Like when you're dead,
00:59:18.960 spiritual inheritance, the tree that you've planted,
00:59:21.080 my grandpa didn't leave any money. There was no money.
00:59:24.080 And nobody even knew about this Bibles and stuff.
00:59:26.600 And I got his old Bibles and notes in them and stuff. It was like,
00:59:29.440 I don't know if it was five or 10 years after he passed.
00:59:33.640 There was nobody else even asked for it. Nobody else even looked for it.
00:59:37.560 I don't even know how I got it.
00:59:39.020 I don't remember how I think my mom was just like, hey, do you want this stuff?
00:59:44.940 And I was like, yeah, whatever.
00:59:45.960 I'll thumb through it.
00:59:47.580 You know, there's just one important.
00:59:49.520 There's one thing that happens to happen a lot in the Bible, especially in the Old Testament in Genesis that I'm still working on.
00:59:54.820 So that you're so your audience right now, you're getting some of the primordial thoughts of this.
01:00:00.440 But it's something that I want to make a part of maybe another class or course or something else I do.
01:00:06.880 and that is the blessing from the father that is given to the child it's not just the you know
01:00:12.600 because abraham you know did it isaac you know he blessed he blessed jacob you know because esau
01:00:17.080 you know got cheated out of his out of his blessing and then jacob you know prayed his
01:00:21.300 blessing over all the all of his 12 sons who became the um you know the tribes of israel
01:00:25.760 it's not just that they prayed a blessing over their child i do that all the time you know i
01:00:29.460 pray for my my kids to have to know to grow up well and to be with christ and all this kind of
01:00:35.340 stuff and you know to be successful but it's not just that they prayed those prayers but they came
01:00:40.500 true exactly the way the father prayed them like for example when isaac prayed the blessing over
01:00:46.920 jacob and jacob you know left with him then esau came in and said where's my blessing well you
01:00:51.400 would think that um isaac would say well i'll just i'll just pray the same blessing over you
01:00:54.660 no what isaac said was i can't give you that same blessing because i gave it to jacob and it's going
01:01:00.880 to happen meaning i can't i have to pray something different and so he prayed a blessing over esau
01:01:05.680 but he prayed something different because whatever that the the spiritual quantity of that was
01:01:11.760 it went to jacob so it was it wasn't a physical thing but it was it was a it was a container
01:01:17.260 of a blessing and jacob had it and he could not and it couldn't go to anyone anyone else so i want
01:01:22.540 to i want to do that for my kids i want my dad who my dad's getting up there i want him to pray
01:01:27.820 that a blessing over me but i need to know the mechanics of that because god honors that blessing
01:01:33.420 precisely which means it must come from god because god doesn't have because god's not
01:01:38.540 obligated to honor anything that he doesn't initiate so it must come from god and so god
01:01:43.880 must have given that blessing prayer to isaac and to abraham and to jacob to pray over them
01:01:48.180 and i want to know the mechanism behind that because i want to do it for my kids i want to
01:01:52.000 get it from god and give it to them and i want my dad to do that you know over me and over his
01:01:56.060 grandson so that's something i'm working on we got to hook you up with james because that's another
01:02:00.920 thing that we talked about is like how do i do that yeah and okay oh okay the question the answer
01:02:07.200 to that that was given by james which i think is satisfactory was like god likes it when you
01:02:12.100 proposition him so be like i'm doing this to you i'm doing this for you all this stuff i'm giving
01:02:19.060 it to you now i'm gonna cash in and this is what i want and i don't want a ferrari but i was like
01:02:25.200 i've been using it like this is a good idea yeah it's a great idea be like hey i'm doing this for
01:02:29.540 you this is what i can do what i want in return is my kids yeah when i'm gone for them to be able to
01:02:37.040 continue in this this lineage that we're carving out so far my parents are christian parents uh
01:02:44.540 my grandparents before that were i don't know much about the rest of my history i am my kids
01:02:50.180 will be also so that blessing that's what i want yeah and i'm not something that was like i'm not
01:02:55.560 just asking but it's like this is the deal shake shake on it or like what are we doing here that
01:03:00.540 the idea of having your son not marry a witch too is a big one that's a good one and i prayed that
01:03:05.240 one so so but that's a serious one it's not like just i need a new camera can i get a new camera
01:03:09.680 thanks dude that's okay no i want something that is going to last yes and i mean it and i'm asking
01:03:16.060 for as a matter of fact it's almost not like i'm asking it's like i'm going to do this thing
01:03:19.840 this is what i want in return but i know what you're supposed to do and it's easy it's easy
01:03:24.120 for him to do so really easy you just say yeah and it's like well then then yes for me also
01:03:29.020 we're talking about the binaural thing right the binaural beats and like the opposite side of that
01:03:33.480 you just nailed it so there are these things that are principles in the occult um and there are
01:03:38.440 these things that are principles just like all these pagans are making these deals with with
01:03:43.160 these spirits like this is the nature of the spiritual realm and god is calling you he's
01:03:47.680 calling you so like yeah let's make a deal you're gonna serve you're gonna do my will
01:03:51.820 right and you're gonna glorify me this is why jews are so jewy because
01:03:55.460 are we are we jews well we should we should start trying to be we should be a little more a little
01:04:02.040 more jewy yeah well that was because top was expressing like it's his hesitance to engage
01:04:07.920 with god in that way because you know i might be paraphrasing but it's like who am i to proposition
01:04:12.720 in god and say give me something you know but it's like over and over again storing up i've been
01:04:17.520 doing all these things and i want to do them for you and then i james like hey it's okay it's okay
01:04:24.100 to be like all right you've done these things for god ask him for something back and i'm just like
01:04:28.620 i don't like asking for stuff yeah it's a lot but you know what guys i i gotta tell you this is how
01:04:33.860 awesome god is this morning you know i wake up and i'm going through my day doing my thing i do
01:04:39.480 my prayers and everything and then i'm like i'm going to be on nds what i want to talk about
01:04:42.880 spiritual warfare wise and i'm saying you know my thing is i i wasn't sure and i was going back and
01:04:47.460 forth and then as i'm i get on my phone which you know i'm guilty of doing as well and i see the
01:04:52.340 episode with james and i said you know as i'm let me start listening to it and it turns out i need
01:04:57.560 to finish listening to it because it sounds like this guy is was talking about i think god is going
01:05:01.600 to be continuing to speak to me specifically about what i was asking him through through what james
01:05:06.300 are saying and i think i've got through like maybe a half an hour of it or no more um but i want to
01:05:10.760 listen to the rest of it because it appears from what you just said top that he is already answering
01:05:14.480 my prayer through what through through the conduit of james so i want to finish listening to it
01:05:21.280 because you know he i didn't even know about the that he addressed the generational prayer
01:05:26.240 i haven't got to that part in in the yeah that was i think that was later in the in the episode
01:05:30.320 yeah because like we we did speak about it and i was like no no you're gonna tell me exactly how
01:05:34.300 you do that because it's fun to talk about these ideas in abstract but it's like great great great
01:05:40.220 but if i want that thing like i actually want that so now yes explain it well that's another
01:05:45.660 you did a good job we were talking before the show about what i want and what i and this might be
01:05:50.620 exactly what i needed to hear to help me get to the next step so wow that's awesome we're also
01:05:56.700 talking about layers of interacting with god you know like uh is it a vain repetition thing do you
01:06:01.900 talk to god differently why would you talk to god differently god knows your heart and knows how you
01:06:06.560 speak don't get up there and start making prayers in a in a warbly voice because that's silly god
01:06:11.400 already knows but like additional layers of interacting with god and and i think that shows
01:06:18.240 faith right why would you ever try to cut out a covenant with the lord why would you ever try to
01:06:23.120 cut out uh a a transactional deal lord i serve you i do your will my household serves you in
01:06:30.680 exchange, you know, how do I get these blessings that Abraham got shows faith? Why would you ever
01:06:36.640 open your mouth and ask those things to a God that you don't believe in? And so it's like,
01:06:41.980 even if it's, even if for some reason it wasn't, which I think there's a ton of biblical precedent
01:06:46.580 for that is the case. It is an additional layer of faith. You're not talking to God in a warbly
01:06:51.880 voice so that you appear a certain way in front of other people. You're talking to God candidly
01:06:57.540 and you're you're you're now going and propositioning the lord uh which is like yeah that's
01:07:03.400 that's faith is that i mean to me that sounds like it i could be wrong but it is and here's
01:07:08.080 the thing i i actually went want to talk about like a half an hour ago i just got it left because
01:07:12.540 we got on other subjects but that was a difference between prayer and talking to god they're not the
01:07:17.940 same thing and i i grew up thinking that they were and i had to become educated that they're not
01:07:22.460 talking to god is is again talking to your father you're having a conversation you're
01:07:28.140 intimately sharing with him you're you're you're listening and you're hearing back
01:07:31.200 prayer is transactional when you look at any place in the bible where someone was specifically saying
01:07:37.380 they were praying not talking to god not having a conversation but when they were praying there
01:07:41.400 was a system that i want john to speak to this um when we do the show next week because he he
01:07:46.580 helped me with this and it's actually in his book modeling god which i which you get as part of the
01:07:50.760 spiritual warfare of course but prayer is basically petitioning god to act based on justice
01:07:57.080 god works through justice you know when we get to genesis chapter 2 where you know seventh day
01:08:02.900 god rested again it wasn't because he was tired it wasn't that what it means what the actual words
01:08:08.500 means that god ceased his activity after the seventh day that's specifically he ceased the
01:08:13.220 activity of being the first cause god after genesis chapter 2 god no longer unilaterally
01:08:18.960 initiates his will. From Genesis 2 to the rest of the Bible, all God does is react to what we do,
01:08:25.380 to what the Elohim do, but he reacts through justice. He equals out justice, but he does not
01:08:29.760 initiate his will. So prayer is when you say, God, I have a certain amount. It's a transaction. I have
01:08:35.620 a certain amount of justice that I've accrued because of X, Y, and Z that I've done. And based
01:08:41.300 on that, I'm asking you to take this action based on justice. That's what it is.
01:08:48.960 You are making a request.
01:08:50.780 And when Jesus talks about when you make a request, first of all, you enter with thanksgiving.
01:08:54.180 That builds your faith.
01:08:55.460 God, thank you for doing X, Y, and Z.
01:08:58.200 Here's why I'm asking from you because of your justice, because of who you are.
01:09:02.880 And I'm asking you to equal out justice in a certain way.
01:09:05.320 So you're asking for it based on what he's done and on who he is and based on justice that you have on your side.
01:09:12.720 i suppose then that would mean what you've done what i am transacting with what i've done has to
01:09:22.120 be equal to what i'm trying to buy or trying to purchase and god will make sure god's not
01:09:27.840 going to give you god's not unjust so even if let's say you ask for a ferrari but you only
01:09:31.920 have enough enough justice for a lexus you're going to get a lexus because because the other
01:09:37.540 way but because if god gave you the ferrari and you hadn't earned it then now you got to pay for
01:09:41.040 it so now he's got it now you either have to do more good or something bad has to happen and you
01:09:46.420 have to handle that bad thing well in order to have earned the justice so this is an interesting
01:09:54.020 con Matt what do you think about that concept well if you're saying you have to give something
01:09:58.280 to God like and like on the same level of what he's given you I don't know dude I just think
01:10:03.440 about like you know David says I'm going to build you a temple and uh then Nathan Nathan tells him
01:10:10.640 yeah do what do whatever's in your heart and then god tells nathan i didn't say that nathan go back
01:10:15.380 and correct him and then nathan comes back and tells david no man you're not going to build the
01:10:20.740 temple for god he's actually going to build a house for you and then that provokes this whole thing
01:10:25.060 where david's like god who who am i like who even am i and what is my family that you would even like
01:10:30.120 look at me to do anything like this like so i don't i don't know i think i look at my life and
01:10:34.920 i'm like i can't i never gave god anything comparable to what he's like gave to me and i
01:10:38.880 look at my life and say why would you take me out of the street or like make me somehow a reasonable
01:10:44.080 person that hasn't turned into a vegetable after that much drugs and that much chaos and madness
01:10:49.080 of life and make me somehow some benefit to mankind in some way or whatever and then god tells
01:10:55.800 david like yeah i'm gonna give it to your kids too like to your point and give it to the next
01:10:59.580 generation then solomon comes along prays for wisdom to rule god's people and then god says
01:11:05.400 yeah dude because you asked that i'm gonna give you all this other stuff but i like your heart i
01:11:10.760 like i like i like what you're saying like adam and eve went to eat from the tree so they could
01:11:15.480 have this knowledge to to operate without me you're specifically asking for a hearing heart
01:11:20.360 because you want to know stuff and you want to be wise too but you want to do it through me
01:11:24.600 i like that you didn't ask to like kill your enemies you didn't ask for money that's what
01:11:29.160 i'm saying like i i feel i'm not saying that uh you don't have enough money for for a ferrari
01:11:34.040 what i'm saying is that the conversion doesn't even make sense right like your faith the substance
01:11:39.720 of your faith has brought you uh children that love god a good family and then and that's something
01:11:47.600 that you can pass on and that's a continual process you can buy that you i don't know i don't
01:11:52.760 know see i don't know about that because i'm just like consider a couple other things you were just
01:11:57.580 talking about some of the things that were passed on to you from your grandfather how do you know
01:12:01.280 you aren't getting some of his justice sure you just might be and and with solomon god told david
01:12:07.760 i'm going to bless solomon because of you he said because of because of of what you've done i'm
01:12:13.760 going to do this for your children so it could be that david had so much so much value accrued that
01:12:18.800 by the time he died there was still there was extra and god also keep in mind jesus prayed for
01:12:24.160 us it went in in in gethsemane he said specifically i'm i pray for he was praying for his disciples
01:12:30.960 and he prayed for them and then he said but i also i'm also going to pray for everyone you're
01:12:35.360 going to that everyone's going to come to me i pray for them as well so jesus is also praying
01:12:40.520 for you and jesus has a pretty good chunk of value we were talking about that also notice
01:12:45.740 yeah so so so you could be getting some some of the value that jesus has accrued which is you
01:12:51.400 i wouldn't say infinite because i don't want to get because i don't think infinity doesn't really
01:12:55.000 exist per se but you jesus has a lot of value stored up that you could be getting some of but
01:12:59.660 again god is also because he is just and right so that's the justice part is that god could give you
01:13:05.020 everything based on what jesus did that's the justice but god is also righteous he's not going
01:13:09.760 to do anything wrong so he's not going to give you something that's going to corrupt that's going to
01:13:13.600 make you worse if he can help it now you can still make yourself worse but god's not going to
01:13:18.040 intentionally do it for example everybody wants to be rich and there's nothing wrong with having
01:13:22.300 money we talked about this abraham was rich job was rich a lot of people in the bible who were
01:13:25.820 wealthy and were in good standing with god but there are some people who couldn't handle wealth
01:13:29.980 if they got too wealthy they would fall away and i know for example when i was in my 20s i was
01:13:35.120 trying to start a business and i wanted to be wealthy and i didn't get it and i was frustrated
01:13:39.380 with god looking back if i had been rich in my 20s i'd i'd be i'd be a complete excuse my language
01:13:46.520 that be a shit show because i was not ready for it i wasn't mature enough i my life would be a
01:13:51.560 disaster i gotta answer my prayer to make me wealthy when i was in my 20s and it would have
01:13:58.160 been wrong for him to do that so my point is that yes it's all there no wealth of the wicked is
01:14:03.620 stored up for the righteous but god cares more about your eternal spirit and your soul than he
01:14:10.180 does about you being able to have a ferrari and take a trip to europe yeah if if if you are going
01:14:15.960 to if god keeping you in the poor house is going to get you to eternal riches in heaven versus god
01:14:20.940 letting you have all the stuff you want and you end up in hell oh no you're not gonna be in hell
01:14:27.040 because you're a christian but you end up you know losing out on spiritual rewards and god said you
01:14:30.680 know what i'd rather you be poor and be wealthy in heaven than vice versa i was talking about this
01:14:35.500 recently, I think for a lot of people, I think myself included, having, let's say, started from
01:14:42.220 a point of success, and just continued onward would have been a curse. Because I think that
01:14:48.000 it's only in my, my poverty and my struggles and my inability to get things going by myself for
01:14:56.400 myself, that it became obvious to me, whenever I did start to have success, it's because I started
01:15:04.680 to orient towards god and therefore i can't i have no business getting anywhere from this point
01:15:12.540 forward without pointing to god and be like this isn't this isn't me like glory to god right like
01:15:17.600 there's this idea that it is the the glory of god to uh restore you and i think that
01:15:25.980 part of that or to redeem you and i think part of that is because you know for people like let's say
01:15:32.040 me, I couldn't do it on my own. So if I am redeemed, if I am restored, if I am allowed to
01:15:38.680 have success, the only way that I've found success is through servitude to God. So the only thing that
01:15:44.520 I can point to as for the reason for any kind of success or any kind of goodness in my life
01:15:48.660 is God. And so in that way, it is literally the glory of God to have redeemed me or to have
01:15:53.960 restored me or to have allowed me to, to overcome the struggles that I was facing, you know,
01:15:59.300 previously in life because it certainly wasn't me yeah and so i could see in a different light
01:16:05.040 if i was successful from the beginning i might not have ever had that perspective and so it would
01:16:10.780 have been in that sense then because what's really important at the end of the day is god
01:16:14.780 it would have been a curse there's something that jesus said that a lot of these you know
01:16:21.420 manifestation gurus who just think who kind of categorize jesus as just another you know
01:16:27.320 spiritual teacher on this like buddha and gandhi and whoever else he's they put him in this
01:16:32.160 category so they'd like to quote the bible in order to again to to justify themselves and their
01:16:37.920 theories but they always leave a part out and they and the quote they get from jesus said anything
01:16:42.380 you ask what they'll say is jesus said you know anything you ask i will do that's not what he
01:16:48.280 said he said jesus said anything you ask in my name i will do because you know jesus said you
01:16:54.300 have to ask believing that you've already received it in the manifestation people say yeah we don't
01:16:57.820 that's what jesus said you just have to believe that you've already gotten it and that's how you
01:17:01.180 do it no jesus said anything you ask in my name i will do so that the father will be glorified
01:17:08.780 you have to have those two caveats so the will of the father plus right you have to when you're
01:17:13.420 asking jesus's name yeah you're asking for what jesus would want for you i want to i want to
01:17:18.060 address i want to address this uh okay i don't know i don't know j davila in the chat he called
01:17:23.260 you a heretic which is fun oh that's nice but he said salvation and god's blessings aren't
01:17:27.580 transactional it's one-sided your part in salvation and blessings is nothing more than to receive
01:17:33.740 period you bring nothing to the table and i am grateful okay all right i'm grateful that you're
01:17:39.580 not orthodox because they believe the opposite but matt maybe you could refresh us because we
01:17:44.620 were reading some scriptures about the unpopular scriptures about god saying if you do this i will
01:17:50.140 do that. Can you just recap some of that for me? Because that seems... What does that have to do
01:17:55.440 with Jay Dilla? Isn't Jay Dilla a rapper? I don't know. It just seems... I'm just saying that's
01:18:00.040 Jason Derulo. It seems like what God is doing here is a bit transactional. It's a blank check,
01:18:05.760 meaning you can take way more. The only thing I was saying to you, though, was that I don't come
01:18:09.180 to God and say, like, my faith is, you know, you owe me this. Like, when I pray a lot, I'm like,
01:18:13.380 God, you don't owe me anything. Like, you already give me way more than you owe me. So I just never
01:18:16.920 try to approach it like that but yeah i think obviously there's right if the you're right like
01:18:21.640 the way that you're living is going to make a difference and and even for the salvation thing
01:18:26.560 i don't i don't know i would guess to do i don't know him but i would guess he maybe he's talking
01:18:31.000 about from like a calvinist background where he's just saying he's right about salvation
01:18:34.500 salvation given freely well yeah but you're saved by grace through faith otherwise everybody goes
01:18:40.420 to heaven like you're yeah so so the transaction there that's i hate to say it like that but it's
01:18:44.980 Like you're saved by grace through faith.
01:18:46.600 Like that's God's part, that's man's part.
01:18:48.760 The substance that is faith, that's what saves you.
01:18:51.200 Yeah, and you can't do that without God moving your heart.
01:18:54.060 So in a certain sense, it's like, yeah, only God does it.
01:18:56.300 There's nothing you can do.
01:18:57.200 Got it, got it.
01:18:57.980 But you still have to be saved by grace through faith.
01:19:00.220 When he extends his hand, you have to reach back, man.
01:19:03.420 Yeah, I don't know if he misunderstood me,
01:19:05.660 but I did not reference salvation at all
01:19:07.720 when I was talking about the prayer.
01:19:08.780 I'm talking about when you were asking God for something.
01:19:12.420 no of course you can't earn your salvation that's that's ridiculous jesus we can't the only way to
01:19:18.160 earn your salvation is if you are perfect and never and never sin we can't do that jesus did
01:19:22.720 that he gave that to us freely i'm not saying that that's a completely different that's a
01:19:28.060 completely different context so um unfortunately i think you know this person just completely
01:19:31.940 misconstrued what i was saying i sometimes stuff gets lost in translations uh but i was saying
01:19:37.220 the difference between praying for something praying for a thing is you is that um you god
01:19:43.300 does god moves he responds to us through justice one way or the other and justice is not just bad
01:19:49.540 things it's reward too why do you think we get rewards when we get to heaven because we've we've
01:19:54.740 earned we've earned rewards for what we've done and god's given us categories for that most of
01:19:59.620 what jesus was talking about jesus basically had two messages when he was preaching salvation and
01:20:03.620 reward um you know and and salvation was usually um a quantitative i'm excuse me reward was
01:20:09.300 quantitative some people got 10 or five or one you which we look at the uh the parable of the guy
01:20:14.100 with the of the people with the talents you know one had 10 and he doubled and he got and he got
01:20:18.560 10 more he said you'll be over 10 cities or something the other one got five cities so those
01:20:22.740 those were quantitative but salvation is binary either you're saved or you're not so we're talking
01:20:28.640 about different things. Because if you weren't rewarded for justice, if God didn't move on
01:20:33.760 justice, then what's the point of doing good works? That's interesting. Why did God tell us to do good
01:20:38.380 works if they are meaningless? God wants us to do these things for him, of course. But we have to
01:20:43.800 also be on the right side of justice in order for God to move on our behalf. What about the idea
01:20:49.780 that it seems to be a theme throughout scripture that God uses man as almost a vessel? He will act
01:20:58.220 through people. And in order to have God act through you, you have to serve. You have to be
01:21:03.940 in the service of God, which I guess isn't always the case. Oftentimes God would use people that
01:21:08.860 weren't necessarily in alignment with him to pull off wicked kings and such. But if you are
01:21:15.260 in servitude to the Lord and asking to be a vessel of his will, does that have any value to God?
01:21:23.560 yeah yeah of course yes and he and he can use you that way and you can
01:21:28.320 and that's the way that you are are getting value and if and if that wasn't the case and
01:21:33.920 jesus would not have talked about reward so much in what he was saying that might seem like a stupid
01:21:39.240 question can you scroll up a little bit the reason that i asked that is i'd argue that that's the
01:21:42.820 only that's the only currency yeah yeah what else do you have but like okay yeah that's my life so
01:21:49.040 So he actually reiterated that obedience is not something that we bring to God.
01:21:54.700 In other words, it has no value to God.
01:21:56.900 If you scroll up a little bit, he actually says something to that effect.
01:21:59.040 That could be misrepresented.
01:22:01.380 And I don't want to beat up on him.
01:22:02.460 I find.
01:22:03.120 No, but these are interesting questions.
01:22:04.400 I find it fascinating.
01:22:05.400 And I like obedience isn't something you bring to God.
01:22:07.800 It's something that emerges from faith, which itself is given by God as a matter of.
01:22:14.380 But so this gets into a weird thing.
01:22:16.920 is he's not calvinist but it does sound like predeterminism if you cannot make a decision
01:22:21.200 to be obedient to god uh is is that what he's saying i could be misunderstanding that it's hard
01:22:26.660 because he's texting we're talking you know no that's i think that's what he's saying but i mean
01:22:31.360 in the end all things work together for good to those who love god and are called according to
01:22:35.140 his purpose not to our purpose not to like try to get what we want from them but like yeah we got
01:22:40.480 skin in the game now like if you say a man has no skin in the game because he's not born again
01:22:45.320 And, and there, and there has to be some kind of tugging.
01:22:48.000 No, like nobody comes to God unless God draws them first.
01:22:51.260 Amen.
01:22:51.880 Okay.
01:22:52.180 But then at that point, but, but God's drawing everyone.
01:22:54.520 That's, that's the whole point.
01:22:55.660 Yeah.
01:22:55.840 There's no one on earth that God is not drawing to him.
01:22:58.220 This is why I feel comfortable like saying, I don't even know, I guess forceful or the
01:23:03.300 forceful asking of my request there is like, okay, I've given me and whatever I can do.
01:23:09.940 And what I want is for you to take my kids.
01:23:13.460 that's almost like uh what is it's that sounds like that sounds like the most loving thing that
01:23:18.900 like god would love to hear he'd say wait what do you want from me yeah it's like that's like
01:23:22.340 you want me to make sure your children walk with me forever yeah i like that prayer because my will
01:23:27.040 is now in accordance with yours i'm not asking for a camera or or a car or whatever it is i am
01:23:34.500 asking yeah but those whatever that will come if it if it may a car to drive me to where my camera
01:23:39.440 That's right. So I could run my kids over and send them to you quicker. But my will and my very strong, clear will for the reason I do anything is so that way my kids can go to you when I am gone. And that's also God's will. So this is in direct alignment. So when I'm asking this thing or praying this thing, I feel like I don't even know if this is an ask.
01:24:00.940 it's in jesus name that's what that is it's it's according to his will it's according to what he
01:24:05.340 wants it's yeah so then when you say in jesus name it it pretty much means exactly what i just said
01:24:10.700 which is why i have a hard time even thinking like is this just like i'm with you i'm here for your
01:24:15.900 purposes my life belongs to you that's the same way i pray for like health is i'm like you're the
01:24:20.780 landlord like like i'm just a renter like if something's sick here that's on you lord because
01:24:26.780 like I'm only here for you like you got to fix the building because my whole life is just for you
01:24:32.000 so the sickness like takes me out or whatever that's that's on you lord I belong to you and I
01:24:37.880 understand that that the justice thing might be throwing some people and I probably should have
01:24:41.100 this is a whole show you should have done that but you can look we've done 100 episodes with you so
01:24:45.960 like when you're telling us these things I'm like yeah we I get yeah yeah like the premise that
01:24:50.080 you're coming from but yeah if someone's just tuning in now and we also have a lot of people
01:24:53.800 that are new to the show
01:24:55.740 because of the show's growth.
01:24:57.020 We almost got 30,000 followers.
01:24:58.560 Yeah, so there is this core,
01:25:03.060 Ed, who's been here since the jump,
01:25:04.640 who understands this conversation.
01:25:06.460 And there's new people who show up
01:25:08.100 and hear a couple of things
01:25:09.520 because we're not perfect
01:25:10.600 and our words suck sometimes
01:25:12.180 and therefore we're heretics.
01:25:13.520 I get it.
01:25:14.620 Let me give you a quick example
01:25:16.600 of how the value can work
01:25:18.820 even if you don't already have it
01:25:21.660 in the quote unquote in the bank.
01:25:22.880 Let's say, for example,
01:25:23.640 when the disciples would heal someone you know when peter peter saw the the person who was who
01:25:30.100 was crippled at the um at the gates of jerusalem interesting thing about this guy you know what
01:25:34.700 that means he was he's been at the gates of jerusalem since he was a kid that means jesus
01:25:37.800 walked right past him when he went to jerusalem and didn't heal yeah why because jesus wanted
01:25:43.000 that glory to go to happen later so his disciples did it when they healed him and the healing wasn't
01:25:49.000 necessarily because the disciples had the value but by healing him more value would come later
01:25:53.280 because this person was now was going to go say it was going to go run around telling people look
01:25:57.640 what was done for me in the name of jesus so now that value god knew that that value would would
01:26:03.600 come later um and it would justify that healing because what that healing did it glorified god
01:26:10.080 so maybe peter did not have the spiritual value to make it happen but obviously he was told by
01:26:15.580 god to heal this person and he did it and that person told more people and now you have hundreds
01:26:20.320 of people coming to to faith in christ so that's the value that um that was gained by that healing
01:26:27.440 so it's not necessarily a straight shot of i have enough value for ferrari therefore give me for i
01:26:32.080 maybe it's like we know what i'm asking for with my ministry god i i need these certain things to
01:26:37.200 happen in order for me to to be successful and maybe he's thinking okay well if he does this
01:26:42.480 then he's going to affect this many lives in the future and that's going to give the spiritual
01:26:46.960 value needed so it could be also in the future not just like to see jesus walk by that guy and uh
01:26:53.760 hand him you know and probably gave him some money or whatever you know he was begging he
01:26:56.560 wasn't going to heal him maybe he get handed him some money and winked at him every time he walked
01:27:00.160 by a couple years yeah hang tight peter's yeah don't don't run away yeah but god god didn't yeah
01:27:06.160 so god didn't tell me to heal that man yeah but and jesus only did what the father told him because
01:27:11.600 god knew that once you die and rise again and your disciples are now doing your work they're
01:27:17.120 going to take care of this guy so that's how that's how god moves i would just say to that
01:27:22.480 to that person be i i don't mind you call me a heretic if you want i don't care but be careful
01:27:27.920 because you're not hurting me you're you're hurting yourself when you are judging someone
01:27:33.600 without enough information yeah actually i mean you're actually rewarding me because what did
01:27:38.000 jesus say blessed are they when men shall revalue and persecute you and say all manner of evil
01:27:41.600 against you falsely for my sake worship and be you know rejoice and be exceedingly glad because
01:27:45.860 great is your great is your reward in heaven so if someone calls me something that i'm not
01:27:50.120 for doing the work of god my reward in heaven just got greater but it's going to be done at
01:27:54.460 someone else's expense so be careful how you how you there's a transactional nature to that
01:27:59.780 well i think i think we clarified it though it actually was uh just a misquote he was just came
01:28:06.280 in from outside and said here's a tick here's a tick he was actually here a tick oh my god oh
01:28:11.940 he was i do like i do like this guy though i hope he comes back more he will he's because this is
01:28:17.820 it's just a cool conversation to have like and people exposed to this stuff well that's what i
01:28:21.900 was going to say like i we set out to talk about something and that's what happens every time on
01:28:26.540 the show especially when ed's on because we have such a working relationship and we've we've you
01:28:30.120 know done had so many conversations with you ed that it's like these things get a little messy
01:28:35.140 and we're like wrestling with this
01:28:38.100 and unpacking different aspects of scripture
01:28:40.140 and asking questions.
01:28:41.180 And it's all like really on the fly.
01:28:43.260 I mean, that's the nature of the show
01:28:44.780 is we never have anything scripted,
01:28:46.400 not that anybody does in podcast world,
01:28:47.940 but you know, so these things are coming at you.
01:28:51.060 It was pretty scripted.
01:28:52.040 What happened?
01:28:52.880 Straight Bible is pretty scripted.
01:28:54.080 Is it?
01:28:54.340 Well, that's true.
01:28:55.000 Yeah.
01:28:55.140 I mean, you're just,
01:28:55.680 I almost want to say straight Bible is not a podcast.
01:28:58.900 Exactly.
01:28:59.500 It's not a podcast.
01:29:00.200 It's a Bible study.
01:29:02.500 It's a Bible study.
01:29:03.180 I guess that's fair.
01:29:03.760 um but yeah so i mean we're just uh we're asking questions and giving answers and you know on the
01:29:12.220 fly and i you know not everything is going to come out perfect all the time but uh you've been
01:29:16.940 instrumental in in my understanding it's actually gonna be really cool because at brohemian grove
01:29:22.640 i get to hang out with uh pretty much everybody who's helped in this i don't like to give matt
01:29:27.320 too many flowers gonna be there no james isn't i gotta i'm gonna text him to see if he could be
01:29:31.380 there i mean it's a it's it's short time to ask him but it would be cool but you know obviously
01:29:35.460 ed ed was the first guy that even though i'm completely retarded had no problem sitting down
01:29:42.040 with me and unpacking these things and then continuing to do it over and over again i don't
01:29:45.980 know how many times i talked to you and then uh you know matt's gonna be there and it's been a huge
01:29:51.020 second stage don't look over and don't like internalize this too much and i don't want too
01:29:57.320 much of a reaction so if you could mute it would be great um but the this sort of the second stage
01:30:02.000 in in my walk and coming to understand god in scripture matt's been instrumental in um i feel
01:30:07.820 like god is stop it you don't have to do anything you don't have to bring some of those donuts and
01:30:11.140 make sure there's extra glaze um but i think god has done this really remarkable thing with me
01:30:16.680 where he knows i'm retarded and he knows the way i learn and uh and he's put the right people in
01:30:23.740 my life you should stop saying that you're retarded because when we have people on like
01:30:27.040 jay dyer you say that to him and he's actually retarded and then they think that they can talk
01:30:32.160 to you however i will continue to humble myself so that the lord can use me to humble yourself
01:30:36.120 people notice um also laura baker is another huge one you know when she first got on and started
01:30:43.220 talking about deliverance and and the whole generational iniquity conversation really uh
01:30:48.220 opened up in a really wide way when we started to talk to her and i get to hang out with these
01:30:51.940 people at rohimi and grove and it's going to be a really remarkable time so uh yeah man uh thank
01:30:56.760 you i guess is what i mean to say yeah i'm looking forward to it's gonna be fun yeah um or so do we
01:31:02.180 have anywhere else to go because i don't want to bring it in for a landing if there's no reason to
01:31:05.120 do that no we can't we we can talk about this maybe the next next time i want to because we're
01:31:08.420 going to talk more about offensive spiritual warfare and you know this is fine because i i've
01:31:11.980 got plenty to talk about because what i want to talk about next time is what the mechanics of
01:31:16.300 offensive spiritual warfare is because it's almost counterintuitive to what we think of
01:31:20.680 when we're attacking the back because when i talk about counter-attacking we think in human terms
01:31:25.440 okay i'm gonna slap satan upside the head and do all these things to him well no he's not physical
01:31:29.860 you know none of these entities are physical and we're not and they've already been judged so what
01:31:34.320 are we doing we're pushing them out of our lives and i would say one of our greatest weapons in
01:31:39.460 offensive spiritual warfare believe it or not is forgiveness and i'm going to talk about that next
01:31:44.600 time how that is offensive and how that devastates the enemy there too i think two of the most
01:31:49.940 devastating weapons we can use against the enemy are forgiveness and gratitude and i want to talk
01:31:54.380 about that maybe the next time we we are we are doing a um a podcast as opposed to we'll talk
01:31:59.400 about other stuff in bro grove but when we're doing a public podcast i want to talk about that
01:32:02.160 because that's something i'm going to be talking about the next the next month and a half in the
01:32:06.880 spiritual warfare course are you are you basically going through like matthew 6 like uh the sermon
01:32:12.120 on the mount kind of thing because a lot of this is what we've been covering i mean what the whole
01:32:17.980 bible's saying this stuff yeah jesus distills it in just those whatever i mean we're up to i don't
01:32:22.900 know maybe 20 30 scriptures from the end of matthew 5 to like well i mean all of it but like so far
01:32:29.280 what you're talking about this idea the idea of forgiveness forgive those who uh that's why we
01:32:35.460 pull that passage we pull 50 other passages saying the same thing right yes right yeah so i'm not
01:32:41.360 going through it chronologically but um but yeah it's a huge part of it because um john actually
01:32:46.400 talked about if those who are on the course now, this week's lesson that came out a couple days
01:32:51.820 ago, John talks about forgiveness and reward. And I'm going to, in two weeks, I'm going to be
01:32:56.980 doubling down and talking more about forgiveness as I'm going to be talking about the effect that
01:33:01.200 forgiveness has on the spiritual realm. And because the hope and the reason it's dovetailing
01:33:05.660 with what you're talking about is that Jesus did spiritual warfare perfectly. So we are teaching
01:33:10.500 you how to do spiritual warfare the way Jesus did. So it's going to, of course, come back to
01:33:14.840 the things he said, including forgiveness. But again, it seems counterintuitive. How am I
01:33:18.800 attacking the enemy by being forgiving? So it's understanding what forgiveness actually is. It's
01:33:24.340 not saying, oh, okay, I'm not going to, it's what you did was okay. No. Forgiveness basically means
01:33:29.080 I'm giving you over to God. I'm not going to take retribution out on you. That's what forgiveness
01:33:33.940 actually is. It's not about a feeling. You can still be as mad as you were before, but what
01:33:37.340 you're saying is you're stating your will that you won't equal out justice. You will let God
01:33:41.860 equal out justice and when you do that you're giving it over and you're and you're moving on
01:33:46.760 you can still not like the person i've forgiven people who i don't want to ever see again but my
01:33:51.480 forgiveness isn't me feeling better towards them or better about them i still some of them are
01:33:55.460 jackasses who i've forgiven but what i've said is that i am not going to take action against you
01:34:00.180 god can handle it and i've given you over to him that's what forgiveness is yeah and i'm going to
01:34:06.180 talk about the mechanics and how that defeats the enemy specifically man in some ways it would be
01:34:12.580 better for it would be better for like you to take action against me yeah exactly because god's going
01:34:18.820 to do it perfectly i may give you i may take action against you and it's less than what you
01:34:23.040 deserve so you should want to have the person you've wronged get back at you because god's
01:34:28.440 gonna god knows all the layers and he's gonna get you back his judgment is going to be completely
01:34:33.940 perfectly justified and it may be worse than what you would get if you know if i just if you stole
01:34:40.160 money from me i just smack you and i feel i've gotten revenge on you what you should get worse
01:34:43.980 well there we go imagine imagine the concept of like yeah somebody wrongs you in such a way
01:34:51.240 yeah and you forgive them and then wasn't it abraham with sarah where he didn't want to say
01:34:56.500 that he was married to her uh because he didn't want anything bad to happen to her so he said he
01:34:59.840 was her his sister and then when that king found out and he was like dude my men could have you
01:35:05.740 know slept with this woman and then the wrath of god would have been upon us like what is what are
01:35:09.700 you doing dog well i mean there we went through a couple of scriptures where like justice is passed
01:35:15.060 down and taken out on like their kids later on and it's like that is this is this is kind of the
01:35:21.600 yeah that's heavy this is what we've been talking about this is the only prayer that most people
01:35:25.800 anybody should have is like my lineage continues in this walk but imagine your lineage gets punished
01:35:34.680 because of because of someone else's forgiveness on you well i think we're going to talk about and
01:35:40.200 when we get to the third quarter when we get to generational curses and i i i want to talk up to
01:35:44.580 uh to laura baker about this i want to get her thoughts i think i'm on the right track with this
01:35:48.920 and i'd love to get her input but anyway that you can actually you can you can break those curses
01:35:53.760 you know because you have that authority so we're going to get into how to break those even though
01:35:57.160 there is a justification for them but you have the mechanism to break them because 100 yeah the
01:36:02.680 blood of jesus is more powerful than what that person and you can confess there's a there's a
01:36:07.820 mechanism you can confess the sins on the behalf of your of the of the ancestor who who put them
01:36:13.620 on you not because in this i'm getting into more heretic range here but i'm not saying in the sense
01:36:19.840 of like you know ancestor worship that sort of thing but you can you're confessing your part in
01:36:24.680 that and and what you're doing to propagate that sin you're confessing that i passed i am doing
01:36:30.420 what my ancestor did and i'm confessing that on their behalf because they didn't know it's like
01:36:35.020 when jesus said father forgive them for they know not what they do so it's a whole thing i'm getting
01:36:40.620 ahead of myself well no daniel prays like that when daniel prays and says god forgive us and he's
01:36:45.300 saying he keeps saying us us us and it's clearly stuff daniel didn't do but he's like taking
01:36:50.080 recognition of it right on behalf of the people yeah and that's part of it so we're we're getting
01:36:55.300 that's like about what maybe another four months down the road of the class when we get in
01:36:59.620 generational curses but that's just something that we'll we'll talk about more when we get there
01:37:02.900 all right perfect so i i guess on the way out let's remind everybody ed uh where everybody
01:37:07.140 can find you and also you know one of the places is going to be brohemian grove in eight days
01:37:12.320 eight days and geez yeah i gotta i gotta start no seven days no it's friday right now it's the
01:37:18.600 31st it's coming to the vip what's mad i don't know well i'm gonna friday it's seven days from
