00:01:48.380 the book of jude is a story about apostasy and so this is what we're going to get into today

00:01:55.300 apostasy means like a falling away or a forsaking or uh sometimes even alluded to as neglecting so

00:02:03.760 a lot of times you're not going to hear the book of jude in the 501c3 system like most people have

00:02:08.480 never heard a sermon on jude and i think as we kind of go through the book we're going to see

00:02:13.040 kind of exactly why people might shy away from this one um i got the shades on today because i

00:02:20.180 got my eyes dilated i had this appointment this morning i had no clue that they were dilating

00:02:24.940 them and i actually had to call top from the uh from the eye appointment but it was kind of wild

00:02:30.580 because the lady's like we're gonna we're gonna uh we're gonna dilate uh the uh we're gonna dilate 1.00

00:02:37.340 your eyes and i was like whoa whoa wait i i have to go on a podcast in like an hour and i have to

00:02:42.360 read and stuff and she's like yeah you're not gonna be able to read so i called top told him

00:02:46.340 what was going on he laughed at me like hysterically made me feel very uncomfortable and uh then she

00:02:53.860 started asking about what's the podcast about and so i explained to him it's like nephilim death squad

00:02:57.720 the kind of things they're into conspiracy theory comedy current events and uh but i said but i do

00:03:04.480 straight bible on it so she said the more i told her she was like yo are these dudes saved and i was like

00:03:09.400 it's complicated it's complicated the one guy just got baptized yesterday in the water

00:03:13.040 but it's complicated like if you watch it you may or may not think they're saved so i told her this

00:03:17.760 whole story and then i went from like the one office to the next office and florida uh retina

00:03:22.800 institute is a legit spot dude like i don't like going to the doctor and this is a super legit spot

00:03:28.380 very professional so i went to the next office with the next lady and uh the first girl said hey tell 0.77

00:03:34.740 her about your podcast so i told her she's like no way that's incredible she's like the girl you just

00:03:40.280 left from just got baptized too like she's a she's a new believer we've been doing a bible study and so

00:03:45.680 this chick was like a mature believer the second one and then uh it was just a rad thing the whole 0.97

00:03:50.660 way it unfolded and they were pumped to hear about the christian library and the coffee shop right up the

00:03:54.500 road and to hear about the uh nephilim death squad so i told them uh check it out we're going live on

00:04:00.520 jude so so we're in jude and i can't read anything so it might be a little clunky today because top's

00:04:05.400 going to be doing some of the reading from my notes so i hope my notes are kind of clear but um

00:04:10.140 but this is what's going on in jude man he's warning about apostasy or falling away and he's

00:04:15.340 saying like we got to stay the course and a lot of people probably don't know this but this is a

00:04:19.920 pretty common theme in the scripture man it's like uh the book hebrews i would say that's a dominant

00:04:25.600 theme is uh the danger of falling away the danger of apostasy uh a lot of people don't know this but

00:04:31.980 in john's gospel in chapter 20 he actually says the purpose of writing the gospel of john is so that

00:04:39.020 people would believe and go on believing because i think there's this common thought today in the

00:04:44.680 modern system of like you just say this prayer like uh you come up to the front you even there's this

00:04:51.640 thing that somebody made up so-called the sinner's prayer and people's thought is like uh you just make

00:04:57.660 this one-time prayer and then you're good and i don't think anybody would gather that from just

00:05:02.400 reading the bible i think you have to be taught that to believe that like if you're just reading a

00:05:07.020 bible you'll be very conscious of this concept of staying the course like jesus even says uh he that

00:05:13.440 endures into the end will be saved and there's just so many warnings against falling away against like

00:05:19.000 getting on this path and then getting off this path so the main thing is that you get on the path and

00:05:24.640 that you stay there so we're just going to open the book of jude man and just get down with it uh

00:05:29.900 we got some scriptures lined up that um top's going to read which hopefully like can they see you can

00:05:35.200 they can yeah there's my guy dude he's reading today i love this guy all right so uh jude 1 verse 1

00:05:41.360 jude the servant of jesus christ and the brother of james to them that are sanctified by god the father

00:05:46.220 and preserved in jesus christ and called mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied okay hang

00:05:53.720 on so right in the jump we see who it's written to that's why the that's why the intro a lot of

00:05:57.640 times people just buzz through the intro but it's important to note that this is written to those

00:06:01.960 can we pull it back up who are like uh they're saved uh they're sanctified they're preserved and

00:06:09.320 then called remember we talked about called last week we pulled up that uh timothy passage that says

00:06:13.800 that you've been saved and called with a holy calling in christ jesus before the world began

00:06:18.960 and uh so um this is that same thing if you've been saved you've been called so we talked about

00:06:28.200 it being a destiny but anyway that's who this is written to so it's not written to unbelievers

00:06:32.260 these warnings coming up are not to non-believers this is to believers

00:06:35.740 so where we at in verse where we at verse three all right yeah verse three um beloved when i gave

00:06:43.200 when i gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation it was needful for me to write

00:06:49.560 unto you and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered

00:06:55.180 unto the saints okay so he's basically saying like i set out to write to you about common salvation

00:07:01.720 he's like yeah i'm just gonna sit down and write about like the lovely realities of the salvation

00:07:06.580 life man of eternal life and what it's like and uh i don't want to see all these comments popping up

00:07:13.540 what is you why are you doing that so uh so he's saying i was gonna just write like a normal thing

00:07:20.680 but then i decided that it was needful for me to write unto you

00:07:25.280 can uh how does it say it again can you pull it back up again yeah he says uh it was uh and exhort you

00:07:33.620 that ye should earnestly contend earnestly contend for the faith you don't hear that much man other

00:07:38.960 places in the scripture it says like uh seek out your own salvation with fear and trembling but he's

00:07:44.700 saying i was gonna just write to you about a common thing but then like right in the middle of while i

00:07:49.600 was writing i changed no man i decided i really needed to write to you and exhort you that you

00:07:56.280 would earnestly contend for the faith um there's other places in the scripture it talks about laying

00:08:01.940 hold on eternal life like they're like this is a big deal man he's like you guys are on the path

00:08:07.320 and i decided i better tell you to earnestly contend for the faith and this intro is really similar to

00:08:12.220 the uh hebrews chapter 2 verses 1 through 3 which um i think i think we got it i think top uh

00:08:20.060 bro let's go uh therefore we ought to give more earnest heed see that earnest again it means like

00:08:28.140 serious earnest heed same thing hebrews very similar to jude in this in this concept of like being serious

00:08:35.160 and staying on the path we ought to give more earnest heed to the things which we have heard

00:08:41.620 lest at any time we should let them slip you see what i'm saying there's a danger in letting them

00:08:47.800 slip he wouldn't say uh like these things which we've heard lest at any time we should let them

00:08:53.380 slip unless there's a possibility that we let them slip so he's this is a warning

00:08:58.060 uh want me to continue yeah yeah we'll go to chapter or verse 2 and verse 3 okay uh for if the word

00:09:05.420 spoken by angels was steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received uh a just

00:09:11.240 recompense of reward how shall we how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation i know

00:09:17.200 it says that how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation like that's what's being said man

00:09:23.460 people we've talked about this before about people like rejecting salvation but this is this other

00:09:29.260 thing it's neglecting it so you get people they haven't like rejected it maybe they kind of get on

00:09:34.080 the path and then they start to neglect it so we have to earnestly contend for the faith we have to lay

00:09:39.700 hold on salvation this isn't something casual there's no there's not gonna be any casual people

00:09:44.120 that end up in eternal life man like it's it's a very intentional thing it's a very much a forsaking

00:09:49.480 of the world forsaking of self forsaking of all the old ways and very intentionally seeking god and his

00:09:56.940 kingdom i don't uh i'm not totally sure where we're at in the notes but i say we just keep rolling

00:10:04.480 with all the scripture passages like what's the next thing on there okay yeah the next one we have

00:10:08.340 is uh first timothy what's he saying let me see hold on sorry if this is a little clunky man i just we

00:10:20.040 we had we i was like top are we gonna do it because i can't read maybe we shouldn't even do

00:10:23.960 the show today i could do our show with the three of us but not really my own he's like no i'll read it

00:10:29.200 i'll read it i'll read this guy let's see where we're at though i might have pulled up the wrong

00:10:33.720 one we had first timothy six five through twelve is that that correct yeah but i think it really

00:10:39.700 jumped starting in verse seven maybe seven all right let me pull that up

00:10:43.460 here we go sorry guys

00:10:49.320 it's it's really the blue letter bible's fault we're uh we're doing our best to pull up all the

00:10:56.580 scripture bro what can't you just go to one i could pull up my bible quicker go ahead go ahead

00:11:01.200 please i know where it's at it's just like uh okay there you go there you go one tim six starting

00:11:07.240 like seven okay for we brought nothing into this world and it is certain that we carry uh we can

00:11:12.860 carry nothing out boom hold on hold on that's like we brought nothing into this world and it's

00:11:18.660 certain we can carry nothing out if you if like nobody remembers anything from this study other than that

00:11:24.280 it'll be well worth it if everybody can just keep that in mind like you come into the world as this 0.91

00:11:28.380 naked bloody little baby with nothing and whatever you accumulate like you're not taking any of it 0.60

00:11:33.080 with you this is just this very temporary realm for 120 years you're walking around and a lot of the 0.99

00:11:38.500 apostasy always ends up revolving around that around like using christianity for gain in this life

00:11:45.500 like that like that's where a lot of the apostasy comes through in the scripture that's where a lot of

00:11:49.020 warnings come from you start falling into the cares and concerns of this world you start loving

00:11:54.580 the riches and the flesh you start loving like the lustful things of the natural realm in our animal

00:12:00.040 nature and that's where people get led astray and that's where they got to get put back on track

00:12:04.540 but that wasn't really what that was just a gangster verse but we're we're going to read the rest of it

00:13:09.860 clothes like if you got food and clothes stop complaining because like in america it's the wildest thing

00:13:15.160 dude we have like food clothes running water electricity i can push like buttons on the wall

00:13:21.360 make whatever temperature i want in my car in my house i have like all of these benefits and all

00:13:27.460 like you go in this building you get this cart that's on wheels and you put food in it from all

00:13:31.520 around the planet and then you just like swipe this card and go home with food from all over the planet

00:13:35.420 and you can shove your fridge full and your pantry you have like all this stuff and scripture is like

00:13:40.400 yo if you have food and clothes be content with that because eternity is what's at stake

00:13:45.320 but that they be that but that they will be rich no that's now it says they it says but they that

00:13:52.660 will be rich but they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and

00:13:58.600 hurtful lusts can you see or do you do you actually i know this passage yeah they that be rich well it's

00:14:04.460 saying that those that want to be rich that will be rich fall into a temptation and snare and hurtful

00:14:10.340 lusts and uh something to the extent of like many people err from the faith because of this which

00:14:15.480 drown men in destruction and perdition yeah yeah that's what it's saying it's so like everybody that's

00:14:21.220 like oh yeah christianity and i'm gonna be wealthy it's gonna be no problem no problem i'm not against

00:14:26.400 living in america and working hard and earning money i'm totally not against that it's just be warned

00:14:31.780 that many people fall into a snare because of chasing dollars and wanting money again it all

00:14:37.740 revolves around like this uh it just ends up revolving around the temporary realm and the

00:14:42.860 benefits you get in the temporary realm there's another place where paul says if i have hope in

00:14:48.520 christ in this life only if we if we have hope in christ in this life only we are of all men most

00:14:53.940 miserable and like that's what you see with like the so-called prosperity gospel is like these people

00:14:59.200 preaching the benefits of christ in this life only that those people i don't have to tell most people 0.98

00:15:04.760 they already know those are of all people most miserable those are the fakers like the fakers 1.00

00:15:09.020 the hypocrites in christianity those are the ones that are the most miserable because they're trying to 0.99

00:15:13.520 use and manipulate christ for personal gain is this what jude is talking about in these first four 0.97

00:15:18.340 verses here bro we yeah we haven't even really got going on jude we're just like elaborating on verse

00:15:24.120 three right yeah yeah all right so back to jude yeah watch no he's going to use tons of examples

00:15:29.280 throughout the whole book he's going to use tons of examples of of like this apostasy and what

00:15:34.380 happens and it always revolves around the temporary realm beloved when i gave all diligence to write

00:15:40.660 unto you out of common uh to you of the common salvation it was needful for me to write unto you and

00:15:45.760 exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints

00:15:50.560 we go back to the one timothy oh first time we only read like the two verses bro sorry i was keep

00:15:55.040 cutting you off i just get hype dude over and if somebody else is like reading i just want to jump

00:15:59.340 in because it's like i'm not the one reading it so i can just jump in and say stuff uh so verse 10

00:16:04.300 uh first timothy 6 10 for the love of money is the root of all evil oh you weren't gonna read that

00:16:09.220 bro what dude i don't mean do people know this is in the scripture i just don't know if people know

00:16:17.140 these passages exist i won't cut you off like we got to read all the way to the end what's what's

00:16:21.080 the last verse okay um which while some coveted after they have erred from the faith and pierced

00:16:28.300 themselves through with many sorrows that's what i'm saying that's what i'm saying dude like the love

00:16:34.460 of money just takes people astray i won't keep cutting you off i can keep going am i allowed to read

00:16:39.840 yes okay but thou oh man of god flee these things and follow after righteousness godliness faith love 0.98

00:16:46.500 patience meekness what does meekness mean meekness is like you could whoop somebody's ass but you don't 0.97

00:16:53.300 it's not it's it's like you have all of that ability within you it's kind of like when uh abraham 0.98

00:16:58.960 takes lot with him and lot only has what he has because of abraham and then abraham says all right lot

00:17:05.760 we have to go separate ways because we've accumulated so much cattle and wealth and stuff

00:17:09.700 and i'm your uncle and the only reason you have anything is because of me so he doesn't say so i'll

00:17:15.900 take the good land and you take the bad land he says no no i have every right to have whichever land i

00:17:20.720 want but lot i'll let you pick you go ahead and pick whichever way you want to go i'll let you pick

00:17:25.300 it's like david when he's in the cave with saul and he could kill him but he doesn't he just goes and

00:17:30.580 cuts off the thing on his skirt it says in the king james he totally could have that's meekness

00:17:35.880 not uh not like uh he couldn't kill him but he could and chose not to that's meekness and the

00:17:42.800 meek will inherit the earth meek is a big thing in the scripture fight the good uh fight the good

00:17:49.200 fight of faith lay hold on eternal life where unto thou are also cold yeah that's it that's what we

00:17:55.900 wanted to hit right there so so i'm just saying this is this is drastically different from what

00:18:01.060 most people that you talk to today understand about faith man we have to fight the good fight

00:18:06.080 of faith and we have to lay hold on eternal life it's not casual it's not casual

00:18:11.040 okay where are we at what's the next uh you want to continue on first uh first timothy or do you want

00:18:18.460 to go to the next scripture what was after uh i figured do you want to go back to jude yeah let's go

00:18:23.840 ahead and read through four because i think verse four is where the rubber really meets the road

00:18:27.880 man i think this is where people are going to get the sweaty palms and maybe a little bit of the

00:18:32.460 sweaty forehead and get a little shaky this is where it gets a little you know let's well it's like hey

00:18:37.280 what's the issue about because verse four starts with the word for which always means because

00:18:41.240 so like why is he saying hey man i was just going to write about common stuff and salvation but then i

00:18:47.160 wanted to warn you and tell you to like contend for the faith man you had to contend for it and you 0.93

00:18:51.720 have to lay hold on it so why verse four starts with because for there are certain men crept in

00:18:58.900 unawares who were before of old ordained to this condemnation ungodly men turning the grace of our 0.97

00:19:06.620 god into lasciviousness and denying the only lord god and our lord jesus christ damn oh dude this is a big 0.96

00:19:17.300 deal for there are certain men crept what unaware no no crept what crept in in yeah wait so this isn't 0.98

00:19:26.480 like islam or buddhism or hindu bro this is crept in it's it's not out there they've crept into the

00:19:37.580 church oh dude this is where people get rowdy this is where people get really offended but this is

00:19:42.820 exactly the point of this book dude he's saying people have crept in unaware they're in the church

00:19:49.980 and what are they doing in the church they're turning the grace of god into lasciviousness

00:19:54.620 which is the equivalent of denying jesus dude this is too much this is too much because this is one of

00:20:01.720 the crazy things when i first started to go to the 501c3 system by the grace of god i had read

00:20:06.000 so much scripture before i ever went to church and one of the most confusing things to me when i started

00:20:10.760 to talk to church people was like they would say some sin that they were doing or something in their

00:20:15.620 life that they weren't doing like praying or reading scripture and they would always say that's okay we

00:20:19.860 have grace and i was always like i don't i don't i don't think that's what that word means and i'd love

00:20:25.400 to do a deep dive on the word grace someday not today but to like say exactly what that means but it

00:20:31.120 doesn't mean it's okay to live in sin and it looks like the way that that's taught today is nothing new

00:20:36.020 like that was a that was an issue in jude's day he was saying these dudes have crept into the church

00:20:41.460 they're in the church and they're turning the grace of god into lasciviousness as opposed to

00:20:46.860 coming to the understanding that grace gives you the ability to overcome sin like like that's what it

00:20:52.380 is forgiveness or mercy for sins existed in the old testament but the law came by moses and grace and

00:20:59.100 truth came by jesus christ grace was this new thing it was the ability to overcome sin not just be

00:21:04.240 uh not just be um forgiven for it but to be able to overcome it and whenever you see these dudes in

00:21:10.280 the church saying yeah it's okay to sin because you have grace that's turning the grace of god into

00:21:14.700 lasciviousness and certainly that has levels just like anything else dude like people do that on a

00:21:19.040 high level down to a low level but whenever they teach that that's where things go haywire and that's

00:21:24.840 why jude's writing this letter and i think that's why we never hear sermons on jude to be totally

00:21:28.620 honest so i think we probably have several because people may not be familiar with that

00:21:34.340 talking too loud no no uh because um people may not be familiar with that i know i wrote a ton of

00:21:40.720 notes about like these other passages that make it clear that there's fakers in the church uh first

00:21:46.120 john you want to go there yeah okay uh so first john chapter two love not the world neither the things

00:21:52.840 that are in the world if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him wait what

00:21:57.940 if any man loves the world the love of the father is not in him does the church know that

00:22:04.980 because like as you see the world just blending into the church and the church becoming like the

00:22:11.100 world like with this idea that like if we be like the world we're gonna win the world yeah where you

00:22:15.680 see that if you love the world like this is one thing that happens man as you get closer to the lord

00:22:20.080 is like the glitter and shine of the world just doesn't mean that much it just it just kind of it just

00:22:25.260 kind of fades away it doesn't mean much anymore it's like if the if you love the world the love

00:22:30.400 of the father is not in you i'm not and i'm not trying to condemn anybody it just takes time it

00:22:34.340 just this thing just takes time man the closer and closer you get to the lord the more the world

00:22:38.540 just loses its luster and so we just have to be mindful because this is always happening in scripture

00:22:44.280 that the covenant people are becoming like the world like that was his message to israel was like yo

00:22:49.600 i'm going to set you in the middle of all these nations they're going to hate you and they're going to

00:22:53.400 try to lead you astray whatever you do don't blend in with them man you're the covenant people you have

00:22:57.860 to set the example you have to set the tone for planet earth like that was their job and that's

00:23:02.740 the job of the church and so anywhere you see the covenant people becoming more and more like the 1.00

00:23:07.100 world then you see a meaningless church it's just meaningless for all that is in the world the lust of

00:23:14.380 the flesh the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the father but is of the world

00:23:20.020 temporary yeah and the world pass passeth away and the lust therefore of but he that doeth the

00:23:27.620 will of god abideth forever the little children is the last time and as ye have heard that the

00:23:35.000 antichrist shall come uh-oh even now there are many antichrists uh-oh whereby we know that it is

00:23:42.380 the last time okay so hang on so the scripture john specifically deals with the antichrist antichrist

00:23:48.520 plural there's antichrist plural but there will ultimately one day be the antichrist and then he

00:23:53.980 also deals with in another letter or maybe later in first john the spirit of antichrist so all of

00:23:59.680 those things exist but the thing i want to key in on is the next verse right so he's talking about

00:24:04.300 uh antichrist will come but there's many antichrists and i just want to talk about like

00:24:09.360 where they came from in the heat of battle your squad relies on you don't let them down unlock

00:24:36.160 when i got a great deal on a great gift at winners i started wondering could i get fabulous

00:24:46.140 gifts for everyone on my list like this designer fragrance for my daughter at just 39.99 how could

00:24:51.860 i resist this luxurious wool throw for my sister this gold watch for my partner a wooden puzzle for

00:24:58.520 my niece leather gloves for my boss oh european chocolate for the crossing guard at these prices

00:25:04.940 could i find something for everyone at winners stop wondering start gifting winners find fabulous for

00:25:11.160 less yeah uh verse 19 uh they went out from us but they were not of us they went out from where

00:25:18.940 from us bro they were in the church yes but they were not of us antichrist in the church

00:25:26.880 salah yeah man uh for if it had been of us they would no doubt have continued with us but they went out

00:25:38.200 that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us so i just want to leave everybody with

00:25:43.500 that just just think about that man the antichrist plural went out from among the church

00:25:51.280 not trying to hurt anybody's feelings we're just going straight bible says uh the notes not new

00:25:56.820 nehemiah yeah yeah i think the point uh in that note i was making was just like this isn't a new

00:26:02.780 thing that uh satan who has a kingdom i probably have that reference to satan has a kingdom jesus says

00:26:10.120 that uh somewhere in matthew's gospel 12 26 yeah matthew 12 26 we don't have to pull it up but i'm just

00:26:15.340 saying that's where jesus alludes to the fact that satan has a kingdom right and one of his strategies

00:26:20.620 to infiltrate the church like in nehemiah's day they were building the wall and they couldn't

00:26:26.120 stop him so initially he'll start to try to stop them like that like that's that's initially his

00:26:30.560 thing is to just like crush the church crush the covenant people and if he can't do that then he 0.77

00:26:34.980 tries to blend in with them he tries to just kind of sneak in and infiltrate the system and get it

00:26:39.960 watered down get the people to compromise get the people to not be sanctified and set apart for god

00:26:45.060 but to just kind of blend in with the world so in nehemiah's day they sent guys in to try to get

00:26:50.440 within the rebuilding of the walls to to mess it all up uh i probably have a note there too on like

00:26:56.580 rome and 300 ad it looks like satan just tried to kill the church in the beginning right like this

00:27:01.120 first couple hundred years yeah the first couple hundred years of the church he's just trying to

00:27:04.720 like there's tons of martyrs that's why they say the uh blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church

00:27:09.420 um dude is always like this man what even is that jacket just boxing guys or like oh geez so sorry

00:27:18.220 about that um he tries to like crush the church he realizes he can't kill him off he realizes that 0.71

00:27:24.480 the more he keeps killing off christians the more it keeps growing and growing so he tries to 0.75

00:27:28.520 infiltrate it and water it down and that's where you see like constantine in the year 300 he says

00:27:33.120 no no christianity is cool with rome and then the dude that comes after him i forget who it is

00:27:36.840 he even makes it like the national religion so i'm not even trying to get into the whole thing what's

00:27:41.920 it called where like all of america is christian what's it what's like christendom no this christian

00:27:47.320 nationalism he started doing that he started doing christian nationalism which is like the catholic

00:27:51.040 church is the is like christian nationalism it's where like the church just becomes part of the

00:27:55.520 state the state becomes part of the church it's all kind of involved together whereas the scripture

00:27:59.960 teaches that the church is a remnant it's even a remnant within a remnant so this is a strategy man

00:28:05.640 like try to kill it off if he can't then just enter in and make him compromise which jude's going to

00:28:10.580 allude to later with the story of like balaam that's what he did too like this book gets deep

00:28:15.140 this book gets deep we're only going like verse one through four because i because we ain't going

00:28:18.240 to be able to get through all of jude even though it's one chapter well pertaining to uh the kingdoms

00:28:23.240 uh you have second corinthians 11 13 through 15 i don't know if you want to read that yeah let's

00:28:28.520 look at that all right um so for uh so this is second corinthians 11 13 for such are our false

00:28:37.420 apostles deceitful workers transforming themselves into the apostles of christ and no marvel for satan

00:28:44.260 himself is transformed into an angel of light therefore it is no great thing if his ministers

00:28:49.840 also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness whose end shall be according to their works so yeah

00:28:55.740 so paul's talking about false apostles which is no surprise satan himself appears as an angel of light

00:29:03.860 so it's no surprise that his ministers can do the same and that's the point i'm trying to make he

00:29:08.640 sneaks them into the church and paul right there is saying it's no surprise that's his strategy it's

00:29:13.760 no surprise that's what he's doing um i mean moving on to revelation here if you want because you have a

00:29:22.180 couple of scriptures here that seem to lined up for the same the same topic yeah we're just keying in

00:29:26.340 on this man that they're in the church and that this is a strategy of satan in his kingdom because we

00:29:31.120 we don't want to be ignorant to the wiles of the devil uh revelation 2 1 unto the angel of the church

00:29:38.240 of ephesus write these things saith he that holdeth the seven star in his right hand who walketh in the

00:29:45.500 midst of the seven golden candlesticks so this is jesus speaking this is the the epistles of jesus to

00:29:50.800 the seven churches in asia minor in the beginning of revelation look what he says in verse 2 this is the

00:29:56.520 church at ephesus i know thy works and thy labor and thy patience and how thou canst not bear them

00:30:02.640 which are evil and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles and are not and has found them

00:30:08.720 liars he applauded them you see what i'm saying he applauded them and said good job those dudes were

00:30:14.040 fakers they said they were apostles but they weren't they were fakers and you tried them and found them to 0.81

00:30:18.980 be liars you didn't have blind faith like the scripture is not in favor of blind faith it's saying like

00:30:24.560 no you have the book you have the word of god dudes come on the scene preaching something that's not 0.81

00:30:29.320 bible that's not from the word of god try those dudes you found them to be liars and i applaud you

00:30:34.740 for that that's what he says that's that's hard that's what i'm saying that goes hard bro we're only

00:30:40.540 in the first four verses of jude dude this book is like i'll never hear it in church man philippians

00:30:47.220 uh 3 16 nevertheless where to we have already attained let us walk by the same rule let us mind

00:30:55.740 the same thing brethren be followers together of me and mark them which also so as ye have us for

00:31:03.320 an example he's saying we're good examples mark the good examples for many walk of whom i have told

00:31:09.400 you or means because so because because many walk of whom i have told you often now tell you even

00:31:17.300 weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of christ whose end is destruction whose god is their 0.60

00:31:24.120 belly whose and whose glory is in their shame who mind earthly things boom so dude this is the thing

00:31:31.720 this is the thing paul's saying even weeping i'm telling you these dudes are the enemies not of christ

00:31:37.120 it's subtle it's subtle i don't know if you want to pull it back up it's subtle these are not the

00:31:42.320 enemies of christ they're the enemies of the cross of christ the sacrificial lifestyle and everything 0.93

00:31:48.440 that happens because of the cross of christ so what's different well the difference is uh their god is

00:31:55.040 their belly they're all about earthly things see how this topic keeps coming up it keeps coming up dude

00:32:00.920 like some people will like so-called preach jesus and they'll preach christ or whatever but not

00:32:07.100 the cross of christ not the sacrificial lifestyle and that eternity is at stake and everything that

00:32:12.100 happened at the cross and how that changes everything but they kind of use christ as a nice

00:32:17.240 teacher maybe he's a prophet he says nice things and so they'll mingle in christianity with like other

00:32:22.480 stuff but it doesn't go down like that like we preach the cross of christ in eternity and we're not

00:32:28.600 about our god is in our belly or our fleshly desires see how it keeps coming back to that

00:32:33.700 it's interesting because it it almost uh makes them seem like they're not that awful like they're

00:32:41.960 not like outwardly awful people this are they're following christ but their their belly is overtaking

00:32:48.160 their their actions major topic so it's like i i think that makes them more dangerous because they

00:32:54.520 they might not even be aware spurgeon used to say a half truth is a double lie like like there has to be

00:33:00.200 some truth for people to get along with it so you're totally right antichrist means another christ

00:33:06.000 so he's gonna kind of be like christ dude he's coming from within the church i've said too much

00:33:12.940 all right um what's the next we we got some more passages yeah we have first peter 5 12 well i think

00:33:22.540 those the the first peter and then there's a colossians uh those are just talking about the

00:33:27.780 true grace of god that's what i really wanted to bring out in that is that there's a fake grace and

00:33:33.280 there's a true grace and in both of those passages what are those passages we don't have to pull them

00:33:38.020 up but first peter 5 12 and colossians 1 6 yeah both of those passages talk about the true grace of

00:33:44.580 god like as if to tell us careful because there's going to be a fake grace and then what's the other i think

00:33:50.460 i had another note next to that one too uh second corinthians 6 1 revive not the grace of god in

00:33:56.680 vain yeah receive not receive not sorry so so there's this con receive not the grace of god in vain

00:34:03.660 what is that 2 corinthians 6 yeah 2 corinthians 6 1 so 2 corinthians 6 1 says receive not the grace

00:34:10.900 of god in vain uh we then as workers together with him beseech you that you also that uh that you

00:34:18.620 receive not the grace of god in vain okay so like we've all heard this phrase of like taking the

00:34:24.180 lord's name in vain and people think that means like if you're swinging a hammer and you hit your

00:34:28.540 thumb and you say gd or you say whatever and i'm not saying people should do that but taking the lord's

00:34:34.720 name in vain means that you like take his name and it means nothing you don't live according you call

00:34:40.540 yourself a christian you call yourself woman with christ but you don't live accordingly that's taking

00:34:45.760 god's name in vain like imagine if your wife like takes your name right like your wife takes your 1.00

00:34:50.420 last name and then she's not faithful to you she's taking your name in vain and that's what the

00:34:55.280 scripture is continuing to teach too like if we are going to take the lord's name we cannot take it in

00:34:59.940 vain we cannot take his grace in vain which means meaningless so we have to take this serious

00:35:05.120 don't like take the grace of god serious i think we're down to like the last we're down to

00:35:11.980 solutions the salute yeah yeah so the solution which jude actually is going to get into at the

00:35:18.540 end of the book but there's no way we're making it to the end of the book today we're just doing like

00:35:21.800 uh verses one through four and then we'll do a little bit more in jude next week because he talks

00:35:25.840 about fallen angels so i know the dudes with like sweaty foreheads and twitchy palms are going to get

00:35:29.900 real excited for the nephilim stuff that jude gets into but can we get it off of him that's like

00:35:35.180 so uncomfortable talking about him but uh so we'll get into that next week but verses one through four

00:35:41.780 this what i'm saying is heavy bro this is heavy so so this would be like my whenever i read all this

00:35:47.320 stuff and i just don't want to leave everybody like oh blah no like no no no here's the solution

00:35:52.120 here's the solution i know it's in galatians and i know it's about uh walking the spirit so you don't

00:36:00.080 fulfill the lust of the flesh okay so uh galatians 5 16 through 17 it says uh this i say then walk in

00:36:10.160 the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh boom so people who are like oh how do i

00:36:15.860 not fulfill the lust of the flesh i've been snorting oxycontins and i really want to quit and then you 0.50

00:36:20.560 just try in your own willpower to like not snort oxycontins i can tell you firsthand it doesn't work

00:36:25.980 like that it doesn't work like that you're going to try forever to quit snorting oxycontins it

00:36:29.380 it doesn't work like that the solution according to scripture is surrender your life to christ

00:36:33.680 walk in the spirit and then you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh but you could apply that to

00:36:38.600 anything maybe you're like a normal person that doesn't snort oxycontins but you have like whatever

00:36:42.340 issues in your life as you try in your own strength to just stop it in your own willpower

00:36:47.180 good luck good luck because that reminds me of like uh god's like hey adam you can have anything you

00:36:53.420 want in the universe just not that tree right there right like he's gonna go to the tree like if you

00:36:58.060 tell your kids hey we're going out for the night but whatever you do don't go in my top right dresser

00:37:03.040 drawer like the second you pull out the kids are going in the top right dresser drawer and it's the

00:37:07.120 same thing we do with ourself where we have like this sin or this lustful thing in our flesh that we

00:37:11.940 want to stop and so we just oh i gotta stop i gotta stop i gotta stop in my own willpower that's not

00:37:16.700 the solution according to scripture in scripture it's walk in the spirit which means progress right like

00:37:22.220 they didn't have uh treadmills in that day like like walking meant progressing get from a to b

00:37:27.660 progress in the spirit be about the things of the spirit and it'll the things of the flesh will just

00:37:33.560 lose their shine walk in the spirit so you don't fulfill the lust of the flesh but i think the next

00:37:39.380 verse is like hard for the flesh lost wait can we just can you just say because instead of for

00:37:46.620 sorry no i'm sorry because i keep saying that and david keeps laughing man i hate when he does that

00:37:51.200 because what yeah yeah he says he says walk in the spirit so you don't fulfill the lust of the flesh

00:37:58.080 because because for the lust uh for the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit

00:38:04.280 against the flesh and these are contrary to uh to one uh these are contrary the one to the other

00:38:12.700 so that ye cannot do the things that ye would do you see what i'm saying so like the like we're

00:38:20.500 made of spirit soul and body right like some people say the soul is the decider within us but you have

00:38:25.820 the spiritual nature and you have this fleshly nature this animal nature so you have this animal nature

00:38:30.940 that like desires the same thing animals desire we've talked about it before like when you hunt

00:38:35.740 animals you hunt them around their feeding habits and you hunt them around their sexual habits like

00:38:40.560 that's how you hunt animals you hunt deer in the rut you hunt turkeys in the spring when they're mating

00:38:45.200 and then you hunt them around feeders and so like the spirit realm hunts us the same way man it's just we

00:38:51.160 have other things more than just sexual uh food appetite we go into other appetites too money drugs like 0.69

00:39:00.180 alcoholic whatever whatever we have all these other things but our animal nature our flesh

00:39:05.980 lust for those things and how we kill that off is we go after the things of the spirit

00:39:11.160 galatians 6 7 um be not deceived god is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap

00:39:20.720 that's what the people the new agers call uh so-called karma people say oh what do you think about

00:39:26.560 karma like the scripture is very plain that uh whatever you sow that is what you will reap people

00:39:31.860 struggle with that man people are like always trying to get one up on somebody like you're never

00:39:35.920 getting one up on somebody ever it's that it's not happening like every person is going to reap exactly

00:39:41.860 what they sow i'm not saying that good people don't fall on hard times or whatever i'm not getting into

00:39:45.680 all that i'm just saying the law of the land is that you whatever you sow that you will reap

00:39:50.420 because he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption but he that soweth to the

00:39:58.980 spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting it's cut and dry man it's cut and dry people are

00:40:04.960 saying i'm not doing anything bad no you're just sowing to the flesh like you've got all these hours

00:40:10.140 and you're watching the tv shows like whatever's the thing right now i don't know what's the thing

00:40:15.400 that all the people are going to steal the food from walmart if they have food stamps or something

00:40:19.120 there's like that and then there's like the world series and then there's the kardashians are making

00:40:23.120 the comeback and then there's like all this stuff it's like oh no it's not bad yeah but you're just

00:40:27.080 sowing to the flesh so take some of that time and sow to the spirit man sow in prayer sow in the word of

00:40:33.960 god like sow into these spiritual eternal things that you're going to have for eternity and that's how

00:40:40.140 you're going to overcome and i think that's a good place to end i love it any any final words matt
