Pearl - I am Returning To the Orthodox Church Today

00:00:00.480 What's going on guys? Today I am talking about the Orthodox interview I did yesterday and just some updates on it.

00:00:07.140 So, I realize some of you are new to watching my series, so I'm going to give you the backstory why I do these interviews and my methodology and my reasons why.

00:00:19.260 Everything I do, I do for a reason on this channel. It's not random.

00:00:22.240 So I grew up in a Catholic area and when I got into media, I really felt like a lot of channels were selling Catholicism as this answer to all of your problems.

00:00:36.880 And I felt like that was dishonest because, again, I grew up in a Catholic area of 20 years. 1.00

00:00:42.680 I know for a fact that church, God will not save you from these hoes. 1.00

00:00:47.960 He will not. And I know that for a fact. 1.00

00:00:50.260 And what I found is a lot of new converts or newly married people would just sell this religion as like the answer to your problems.

00:00:57.400 And for me, I just didn't think that was true.

00:01:03.180 Second reason is because obedience was never taught to me growing up in the Catholic Church.

00:01:10.500 And whenever I would, when I found out what obedience was, I actually thought it made the entire world make sense.

00:01:16.940 Um, it made failed relationships in the past make sense.

00:01:22.000 It made, um, disrespect I had seen towards my father growing up make sense.

00:01:28.280 You know, it actually made, um, everything in the entire world makes sense that everything 0.90

00:01:36.880 that's going wrong is because women are not obedient to men. 1.00

00:01:40.080 Women are not listening. 1.00

00:01:41.720 And I don't know. 1.00

00:01:42.660 When I heard about it, I'm like, wow, they should, they should really teach this stuff.

00:01:45.520 I don't know why they don't.

00:01:46.940 And what you find out is a lot of these churches, and I can't say which churches adhere to this

00:01:51.740 and which don't, I don't know. A lot of churches, most of their donations are women. So they tend

00:01:59.480 to skip over all the verses in the Bible around obedience. So anyways, I kind of combined these

00:02:08.800 two things. Like I'm in media, everyone's telling me their church is different. I just need to go

00:02:13.440 to their church. And, you know, growing up, I didn't hear about obedience. So I decided, I'm

00:02:19.940 like, all right, why don't we go to these churches and see if they're teaching what they say they're

00:02:25.780 teaching. Now, the way that I do it, I believe, is the most respectful way I possibly can.

00:02:33.100 I am in Texas, meaning if I wanted, I would not do this or currently don't do this. I could go

00:02:39.360 into your church, cause a ruckus, and record all the audio if I wanted to. It's a one-party

00:02:45.200 consent state. I can literally record any audio. On private property, I can record, I believe,

00:02:52.600 as long as I'm not told I can't. But that to me just seems like causing a spectacle,

00:02:59.360 not really my way to go about it. So what I do is I stand on a public sidewalk near the church

00:03:05.200 So, and make it very obvious I'm filming.

00:03:08.400 So anybody that comes up to me knows that, yes, this is filmed.

00:03:13.940 And if you don't like it, you can just keep walking to your car.

00:03:17.520 I am very particular not to ask anybody multiple times that wants to be, like, that says no.

00:03:25.300 I just say, okay, have a nice day.

00:03:27.340 I'll see you.

00:03:28.780 So anyways, I do this yesterday at the Orthodox Church.

00:03:31.640 and i didn't find the orthodox church to be that special or that different um i would say a standard

00:03:39.640 deviate out of the three times i've done this series i gave them first draft pick but again

00:03:44.860 um this isn't to be judgmental towards anybody i do believe that people are people so i i do

00:03:50.900 um i don't really think there's a special church with special people that are super different um

00:03:58.180 for me that's a little hard to believe um again growing up in that church that everyone said it

00:04:05.940 was special and different and even talking to other people that grew up in other very religious

00:04:10.540 churches I mean I've even watched watched Amish women pour out you know what I mean like at this 0.98

00:04:17.260 point people are people if Adam couldn't say no to Eve I have a hard time believing there's a special 0.95

00:04:23.240 church that this doesn't happen that at, but I'm more than willing to be proven wrong. To me,

00:04:28.400 I try to make this series as little edits as possible. So anyways, much to my surprise,

00:04:34.880 I go on Twitter and like, this is the most woke answers I guess I've ever got. Like it's a total

00:04:43.520 crash out. So I'll tell you what happened yesterday. I go to the, I go to the church,

00:04:49.240 right and I get there I get my sign I stand outside I say would you like to be a part of it

00:04:54.040 and they say no or yes some some said yes came up um and the priest comes out and he's like oh

00:05:02.140 you should have come inside but then at the same time it tells me um there's a sidewalk like here

00:05:09.040 and there's grass right here so he asked me kind of kind of in my opinion no offense I'll see him 0.98

00:05:14.640 later today when i get to that part of the story to be a dick you know he's like oh get off of the 0.66

00:05:20.120 church property which was literally two steps now mind you um the way the church property is it's 0.94

00:05:27.280 like this so i'm in the front and here is the door i cannot legally stand by your door like

00:05:35.940 your front door i cannot i stand on the sidewalk on the edge of the property so i go on twitter

00:05:41.720 And the way this is framed is we had a YouTuber come out.

00:05:46.180 She was harassing participants. 0.96

00:05:49.200 Her ninja.

00:05:51.660 Then I mentioned that I have the whole thing recorded because I don't know, maybe he didn't realize I recorded everything because I did have like a body cam type thing.

00:06:01.240 I don't know.

00:06:01.700 We'll see how good the footage is.

00:06:03.040 I'm going to put it out today.

00:06:04.620 But I'm like, hey, I have everything recorded.

00:06:06.960 you're spreading a rumor that I harassed participants and also that I didn't ask you

00:06:13.380 to participate when what happened was the priest came out I said hey our clergy I don't know how

00:06:20.120 he was affiliated with the church but again I never want to interrupt a church service or a

00:06:26.140 mass I think that would be totally disrespectful so I stand on the edge anyone that wants to come

00:06:30.320 can come and I know for a fact I asked one of the clergy members to if you want to answer the sign

00:06:36.260 He said, I'm too busy. Like, what do you want? You want me to chase you down? I can't do that.

00:06:40.620 Like, you know, I say, okay, next person. You know what I mean? In fact, a woman came to me

00:06:49.460 to harass me about my son. If I'm really, if we're really going to be honest about,

00:06:53.780 it's almost like I go to these churches and they say I'm harassing. And I'm like,

00:06:57.240 you guys are definitely harassing me. And this is definitely protected. Public property is

00:07:03.320 protected under the first amendment. Then they say, um, that the sign was, you know, controversial

00:07:11.720 or, I mean, this is just general things I've seen on Twitter. I'm like, look, I passed by signs for

00:07:17.680 AIDS. I think you guys are going to be fine. I'm not going to, I mean, I see churches with literal

00:07:24.400 AIDS. I mean, I think, I think a sign of obedience, uh, if you guys have a problem with that,

00:07:30.520 that says more about you than me I gotta be honest

00:07:33.240 so anyways where am I going with this oh I go on to Twitter and the way he frames this story

00:07:45.020 like I felt like one of those guys that's getting falsely accused like the do you know what I mean

00:07:51.700 like when he hooks up with the girl and the girl's like oh I didn't really want to I told him no he's

00:07:55.360 like you told me no you were bouncing I felt like that yesterday because I go on Twitter

00:08:00.020 and um he says this youtuber was harassing patrons and we had to tell her to get off our prop like

00:08:07.960 to get away from the door and I'm like okay you guys had me move two steps

00:08:14.520 literally two steps like the grass side I was right the only reason I was on the grass was to

00:08:21.220 you know if someone wanted to walk by I'm not in the you know but and then

00:08:25.920 there is not a single person that if they said no I I chased down in any way like no

00:08:34.460 anyways so then I see this story and I'm like hey I recorded everything um

00:08:41.520 this is kind of disrupting my filming schedule because I like to record it on Sundays and

00:08:47.940 release it Wednesday or Friday but because he spread this rumor it looks like I got to put

00:08:52.040 this footage out sooner oh I can't I don't know maybe I'll just put out the beginning but then

00:09:00.920 I don't know then everyone's gonna gonna say I'm hiding and I'm like look I don't know but regardless

00:09:05.500 you guys are crazy I don't know this is marketing for your religion so then this guy um this is 0.97

00:09:15.760 crazy. Um, where was I going? Where am I going with this? Where did I end? I think I, I think 0.99

00:09:23.600 I have all the things that he said. Oh, then he switches it after and he's like, oh, by talking

00:09:30.100 to us, did you mean like join the liturgy? I'm like, okay, now you know I'm recording it. Now

00:09:35.860 it's magically changing. Okay. You know, I don't know guys, whatever. So anyways, we go back and

00:09:44.780 forth on Twitter, he says, why don't you come back? I'm like, well, well, well, well, well, well.

00:09:52.520 So today I'm going to go back. Um,

00:09:56.600 oh, and also the reason I record everything is because I don't want accusations like this of

00:10:03.700 doing something I didn't do. No, you are not going to accuse me of doing something I did not do.

00:10:11.100 i i have thought this through for the most respectful way possible so anyways

00:10:16.660 where am i going with this if you guys are new sometimes i'm a little spacey so forgive me

00:10:25.580 okay well i'm going back today and maybe they'll answer my questions about obedience um

00:10:32.640 but yeah that's the reason i do the i do the interviews in this way um

00:10:39.700 in my opinion i'm giving all the churches the opportunity to show me they're different

00:10:48.760 um and i think it's really important to interview the parish because that shows if you're a good

00:10:55.360 teacher your parish is gonna tell me what you teach you know uh you know then you gotta i'll

00:11:01.700 help you out then you can just say well and maybe i need to step up my teaching abilities

00:11:05.600 you know um

00:11:11.220 i'm gonna see if i've anything else

00:11:15.800 oh do you know what's crazy i was thinking about i'm like i've been an ofo i've been a woman that

00:11:27.100 has an only fans past would be greeted warmer than pearl with an obedience sign

00:11:31.900 so anyways um i love you guys thanks for watching i am going to continue this series

00:11:40.900 um i think what i'm going to do is i'm going to release the beginning footage

00:11:46.360 of the priest just so i can put that rumor to rest but i'm going to put literally all of it um

00:11:53.980 minus pauses I'll probably take out some pauses like of like nothing but

00:12:00.760 I'm gonna put all of it on YouTube um and I think I think I'm gonna wait to put it all together

00:12:07.900 till after I go back today because today I'm going back so I'll see what they say

00:12:12.960 like the video subscribe and I'll see you next time
