00:00:00.000 All right, what is going on guys? Welcome to another episode of my coffee talks. I think
00:00:06.020 I'm almost a hundred percent. I've been sick for like a week. So forgive me if I've been
00:00:10.800 a little slow in the coffee talks, but me and you guys, we got to hang out. So I was
00:00:16.820 thinking about how right now we're kind of entering into a society with a very big split
00:00:25.240 between the haves and the haves and not have nots and this is not just money okay
00:00:33.060 in the past I think people used to get their social networks based on where they went to
00:00:39.280 school and where they live right and it seems like there is a shift where it's actually and
00:00:48.680 I don't even necessarily think this is a bad thing but it's turning into like hobby communities
00:00:54.920 and hobbies seem to like be overtaking everything where people used to like have kids and stuff
00:01:03.300 I don't really see women whoring out completely like maybe the upper like the only fans girls
00:01:09.440 and the whores but there's always been whores right what I see more is the time and I would
00:01:15.380 even say this is applicable to me and like similar people the time that would have been spent on a
00:01:21.800 family in the past is now spent on hobbies because when you think about it nine to five
00:01:27.780 you can get a boyfriend and date pretty easily with a nine to five you just you know hang out
00:01:32.920 after work but you can't hang out after work if you're spending like three hours in the gym
00:01:37.680 um or you can't hang out after work if you're um doing salsa lessons or um rock climbing or
00:01:47.480 music or whatever it is and what I've noticed is in order to get into the social environment
00:01:55.800 there are places that people meet right there's the bar social environment so people meet at bars
00:02:02.180 they like to drink that's the hobby sometimes it's trivia at the bars or it'll be the coffee
00:02:08.360 shop social environment so I'm in Dallas and it's pretty normal for people to like there's like a
00:02:15.620 whole community of people that just hang out at coffee shops all day I've heard this is in grocery
00:02:19.640 stores also where in the past um you used to like hang out with people in your town and now there's
00:02:26.820 like gym communities um like I know a guy who met his wife through they were doing some like
00:02:32.640 internet marketing thing and that's um the communities of the future but there's a couple
00:02:39.700 problems with these communities. There are some pros. Okay. One problem is that the people that
00:02:46.240 work a lot have a harder time entering these communities. Like if you're working 12 hour days
00:02:52.380 or 10 hour shifts and you're on your feet all day, do you really want to go rock climbing after work?
00:02:57.240 No. And also there's a money barrier. So there's a time, there's a time spent entry barrier and a
00:03:06.520 money barrier so like one of my hobbies is volleyball and in order for me to meet um the
00:03:12.640 most I would say highest status in those groups people I mean I had to play like 20 years of
00:03:19.240 volleyball um I've also dabbled in like swing dancing and like um I like karaoke like I you
00:03:26.120 know there's other hobbies but what I've noticed is um in order to enter into like the high status
00:03:31.480 people in these groups you have to be pretty good at the hobby um like I'm like the lowest status in
00:03:38.200 any dance group because I'm just not that good but I love doing it um and I don't know if this
00:03:43.060 is necessarily like um bad or good this is just more of an observation I've noticed that
00:03:52.080 more people are being iced out because a lot of um if you don't work in those hobby communities
00:04:00.720 like lower status people can enter the hobby communities by working in it and like for example
00:04:06.160 high-end gyms you can enter the hobby community by being a trainer there you can work at the
00:04:11.320 coffee shop in the gym but if you don't work directly in the area um then it's more difficult
00:04:24.220 like if you're more of a like a plumber an electrician and i think that's why a lot of
00:04:28.740 times those guys get looked over they don't have time as much to enter these hobby communities
00:04:34.900 and they even view these hobby communities as kind of gay they're like you want to learn to dance
00:04:39.500 I'm gonna go fix my truck bitches I don't care about you
00:04:43.260 um so this is just kind of an observation I've had being in the city because
00:04:49.480 in the city um I would say there's more of a fight for status than there is in the country
00:04:55.100 um because I've kind of had the opportunity to live in both as an adult and um I've just noticed
00:05:03.360 that there's less social like when I lived two hours from the city I felt um more lonely as a
00:05:12.180 person without kids because there was like never anything to do and there you know your options
00:05:18.940 were like the town bar and you maybe meet people that are like 20 years older than you you know
00:05:24.060 what i mean like um this is just my experience however you spend more time with your immediate
00:05:30.040 family um but even that like you know pros and cons pros and cons if people don't have children
00:05:38.140 it's like you you you kind of want to meet more people your age so anyways hobby communities the
00:05:45.280 next thing i want to talk about how women's curiosity kills the cat now the issue is a lot
00:05:50.840 of these hobby communities have given women to the opportunity to be high status, um, in a fake
00:05:57.600 way. Now I'm going to use myself as an example. Um, sometimes, you know, I'll, I'll be the example.
00:06:06.320 I chased a volleyball career and I made it. And I don't, again, this isn't necessarily bad or good,
00:06:12.940 but I made it to the point where I could have gotten paid to play overseas. I started a YouTube
00:06:18.020 channel and that took off so I stopped doing that but because I chased volleyball um I got a lot of
00:06:27.060 accolades in the volleyball community right I was all conference um I played semi-professional I
00:06:32.460 could have went pro um you know I won a lot of tournaments I got second like in state in high
00:06:38.280 school in college we went to the NCAA tournament just a lot of like volleyball accolades um and
00:06:44.900 that gives you like as a person the opportunity to feel like important and feel needed. Here's
00:06:50.980 the problem. Here's the issue. It's all fake, right? Volleyball communities operate at a
00:06:58.020 loss. And I see this in the form of like dance competitions. I guess there's not really
00:07:07.340 a competition in like the coffee shop community or the bar community. But it's kind of cool
00:07:14.600 because now you have the opportunity to be skilled um like it's something you never in the
00:07:20.820 past would have had the opportunity to be skilled at I would love I totally have it in me to be a
00:07:25.560 really good dancer because I really enjoy it and I would I would waste an ungodly amount of time
00:07:30.780 time doing it but at the end of the day it's kind of a waste of time because there's no output on
00:07:37.140 like dance um but in order to enter those hobby communities you have to pay a lot of money um
00:07:44.560 like i'd have to pay for dance lessons or spend a lot of time i'd have to spend like an ungodly
00:07:50.260 amount of hours a week to get really good at it and i actually have spent a decent amount of time
00:07:54.680 just to get mediocre subpar at it so this causes resentment i think because all the lower status
00:08:04.720 people are kind of pissed and even high status people um that just don't have time like that
00:08:10.740 they're kind of pissed because all of these women are like fake important and they all think we all
00:08:16.720 have these egos of like I'm super important because I'm high status in this hobby community
00:08:22.020 right but it's all fake because um the way the hobby communities are paid for it's like you
00:08:28.760 either pay for yourself or it's subsidized by men in some way like the NCAA is subsidized by men
00:08:35.260 so
00:08:39.800 the issue with this is now women are leaving families for these hobby communities and I've
00:08:50.860 heard this like over and over where like the woman joins like a salsa community and then she
00:08:56.400 leaves her man or she joins I mean how many times the salsa instructor stole your bitch
00:09:02.000 the personal trainer and it's because a lot of times it's lower status like men overall like
00:09:07.580 they maybe have less money but they have more time to like rizzer up and their higher status in that
00:09:13.420 individual community and the guys that are actually like running society they're like pissed because
00:09:19.220 they're like bitch how did you fall for this this is all fake it's not real but it feels real to the
00:09:25.600 woman. And that's why a lot of times when you go to the country, people seem more grounded
00:09:34.240 in a way. Um, because everything, not everything, but at times the things they're doing are
00:09:41.700 like more real. It's not like fake, even though the hobby communities are fun. I'm not gonna
00:09:46.820 lot of their fun but so women get curious they're like could i have been a a professional dance
00:09:56.360 person or you know for me could i have been a pro volleyball player and the truth is i could have
00:10:00.880 but it's fake right and um there's just so many examples of this and it's difficult because it's
00:10:08.660 not necessarily like a bad thing to push yourself um to the top of that sport or get really good at
00:10:14.800 something but at the same time it's like um now it seems to be a prerequisite for dating you have
00:10:20.560 to have one of these hobbies like even in you know women like melt when they see the guy with
00:10:24.500 the guitar they melt when they see the the dancer they melt when they see the trainer they melt when
00:10:31.120 um I don't know that guy's really fun at the bar and he's like rolling back shots
00:10:37.360 um but again a lot of times these are low status people in high status environments um
00:10:42.920 again not necessarily saying it's a bad thing but it's just it's kind of it kind of is interesting
00:10:51.680 to me because um I know people where I'm from don't have I'm gonna say I know people that
00:11:03.320 do not necessarily have those like high status or dating market entry skills but they have a lot of
00:11:11.580 skills like you know they can fix anything or like cook anything or like very pragmatic skills
00:11:17.820 um but they would be laughed away in any of these like communities
00:11:23.000 maybe not laughed away but they just wouldn't be high status um
00:11:26.940 and those people used to be able to enter the social network um because they just lived somewhere
00:11:34.920 and then people would kind of see that in the town they'd be like oh that guy's good at fixing
00:11:38.560 things but now since um social groups are not really um geographical anymore and also they're
00:11:46.020 not long lasting like people move uh people don't really stick it out like they used to um so now
00:11:54.780 those people are kind of iced out and they got to be pissed where they're like
00:12:00.420 all these people with useless skills they're in they're in the high status i'd be pissed
00:12:05.920 as someone with a lot of useless skills right i mean i i'm just gonna be honest here
00:12:11.520 i'm i'm a very good volleyball player but i mean what i guess i could coach if you know
00:12:17.140 should ever go south
00:12:18.580 i'm a good singer but like what is that do you know what i mean mediocre singer okay whatever
00:12:28.640 whatever so
00:12:31.260 anyways
00:12:35.980 now married women are seeing this on social media and they're like oh well maybe my childhood
00:12:47.680 dream of being a gymnast and my husband's holding me back and the husband really wasn't holding her
00:12:53.780 back I mean maybe he wasn't away like he was like that's kind of a waste of time
00:12:58.520 um but he had her best interest at heart because he's like look um these people don't love you
00:13:03.320 and then she'll just like ruin her family for a dream that she was curious about but
00:13:09.140 it never would have panned out and as someone I think I'm kind of living a lot of women's dream
00:13:15.380 in a way um in terms of the YouTube stuff like a lot of women want to be YouTubers
00:13:21.180 most women are too lazy to do it I'm telling you I mean you guys see me rain or shine I've
00:13:27.020 been posting for years um and you gotta you gotta deal with the downside of things
00:13:32.700 and one of the downside is like people criticizing you all the time most women don't have the stomach
00:13:38.900 for it um most women aren't really gonna post most women like they they i'm telling you they
00:13:45.520 just cannot take what comes with being a youtuber and i don't even think this is the hardest job in
00:13:51.260 the world or at all but we're so lazy that I don't even think most women could do that
00:13:57.920 and I have a good sample size on female um women being lazy or not because I played volleyball
00:14:04.840 my whole life and I would say like two out of ten people that are women really actually try
00:14:10.640 usually on a team there would be two or two maybe three tops girls that like work
00:14:16.980 hard for a woman right not a man anyways um but that's that's my points I think hobby communities
00:14:24.920 are taking over communities and it leaves a lot of people out um two women's curiosities kind of
00:14:31.640 getting the best of us because we think we'll be uh we were our we love being high status and so we
00:14:37.180 see these communities and we're like oh I want to be high status and most of the time women couldn't
00:14:42.100 do it anyway so they blame their husband for a dream they never would have got anyway um
00:14:46.840 and three uh people are having a lot of useless skills in place of families not necessarily a
00:14:57.560 bad thing um but if you guys have any thoughts a lot of times i get my best coffee thoughts
00:15:01.780 from you guys like i don't know what it is i have the most intelligent audience so
00:15:06.360 um put in your put in the comments observations you've seen do you think i'm right if you think
00:15:11.320 i'm wrong put it in the comments too like the video and i'll see you next time
