Pearl - The Hard Reality of Disease and Hookup Culture

00:00:00.000 Thank you for the $10. I deserve money today. Today's the day I'm going to say, give me your

00:00:05.720 money. I damn near could be a fricking gynecologist with the stuff I know now. 0.95

00:00:12.320 You know what today is? It's STD Friday where we do an informative show on the STDs that are 0.94

00:00:20.840 in the market right now. But if you guys want that intro video was a fundraiser for a documentary,

00:00:27.320 What's In It For Men, we are raising money for it. So if you guys want, please donate. The link to

00:00:34.200 the GoFundMe is in the description. And I also want to thank the people that donated yesterday.

00:00:39.500 Every show, it seems like we get more and more donations, which is awesome. Thanks to Adam,

00:00:44.500 Anonymous, Phil, and John for the four donations, including a $100 donation. We're at $35,209.

00:00:53.120 So thank you guys so much. All right. So today we are talking about HPV. So welcome to another

00:01:04.040 episode of Pearl Daily. Feminism has destroyed the traditional dating scene. In the past, 1.00

00:01:09.560 women were respectable, at least on paper, at least there was no evidence, and would demand that men 1.00

00:01:14.960 courted and married them before sex. Now the dating market is a free for all with most of the men being

00:01:22.800 left out and the top men getting sex from women for free. This has led to an increase in the

00:01:27.880 transmission of STDs. Previously, we've covered HIV, herpes, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. And today

00:01:33.920 we are covering HPV. HPV, or human papillomavirus, is the most common STD. Most sexually active people,

00:01:42.800 around 80% will get HPV at some time in their lives. 42 million people are infected with HPV in the

00:01:49.620 United States at any given time, with 13 million new infections being recorded each year. HPV is so

00:01:56.760 common that many people have it and don't have symptoms. Over 100 types of HPV exist, and some

00:02:03.620 go away after one to two years, while some have more serious symptoms, including warts and risks of

00:02:10.040 cancer. It is easier for men to spread HPV to women than women to spread HPV to men. HPV is the

00:02:19.280 most commonly transmitted through skin-to-skin contact during sexual activity. The first HPV

00:02:25.560 vaccine was approved by the FDA in 2006 and is 90% effective in combating the major symptoms of the

00:02:33.060 disease. While HPV can be acquired at any age, it is most commonly contracted during the teenage years

00:02:38.340 of their early 20s, with the average being 21 years. 75% of sexually active people have caught HPV by

00:02:44.800 31, and 85% have caught HPV by age 40. The worst kinds of HPV to contract are 16 and 18, which HPV 16

00:02:53.800 is linked to cancer and is the most dangerous strain. It is responsible for 50% of cervical cancers and also

00:03:01.320 causes throat, anal, and penile cancer. HPV 18 is the second most common strain that causes cervical

00:03:07.740 cancer at 20% and is also associated with the most aggressive types of cancer.

00:03:14.200 It's STI Awareness Week, and every day this week, I'm going to be discussing a different STI.

00:03:19.340 Today's topic is HPV, human papillomavirus, which in my opinion is the most misunderstood STI.

00:03:27.200 HPV is by far the most common sexually transmitted infection, and almost everybody who has ever been

00:03:34.760 sexually active in their life will be exposed to it at one point or another. Now, there are hundreds

00:03:40.780 of different strands of HPV and about 40 different types that affect the genitals and throat and that

00:03:47.520 we consider to be sexually transmitted in nature. Now, even plantar warts on the bottom of your feet that

00:03:53.000 you can get during a hot yoga class can be HPV, so not every form of HPV is sexually transmitted.

00:03:59.960 This video is going to discuss the 40 or so types that are. Those strands of HPV that can affect the

00:04:06.360 genitals and the throat are stratified into high-risk strands and low-risk strands. Low-risk strands are

00:04:13.460 more likely to cause things like genital warts or anal warts, which are not pleasant, but they're not

00:04:19.480 necessarily harmful to your health. The high-risk strands of HPV are the ones that can lead to

00:04:25.880 cancer. Various types of cancers, cervical cancers, penile cancers, anal cancer, vulvar cancer, and various

00:04:33.960 head and neck cancers, including esophageal cancer, tonsil and tongue cancer. Now, here's the thing.

00:04:40.520 Your immune system can clear HPV on its own, and in fact, the vast majority of HPV infections

00:04:47.400 are cleared by the body on its own. Only sometimes will those HPV infections go on to cause cancer,

00:04:54.280 and it's more likely in people who are immune compromised, such as those with uncontrolled HIV.

00:04:59.320 So, how is HPV transmitted? It's transmitted via skin-to-skin contact, so you don't even necessarily

00:05:05.640 have to be partaking in penetrative sexual activity to contract it. It can be transmitted through all

00:05:11.960 forms of sexual activity, and also through fingers, hands, heavy petting, touching, that kind of thing.

00:05:18.120 So, what do we do with this information? You want to make sure that you're always on top of your HPV-related

00:05:23.320 cancer screening. So, for folks with a cervix, that is a cervical pap smear to screen for cervical cancer,

00:05:29.880 and for anyone of any gender who is sexually active in the butt, you also want to be getting 0.99

00:05:35.320 anal pap smears, which are less common, less known about, but super important. So, talk to your 0.99

00:05:40.520 provider about that if it applies to you. I also strongly recommend getting the HPV vaccine. It's

00:05:47.640 called Gardasil, and it protects against the nine strains of HPV that are the most likely to cause

00:05:54.840 cancer. So, you can still get HPV even if you've gotten the Gardasil vaccine, but you're less likely

00:06:00.600 to get a strain that will go on to cause cancer. So, even if you have previously been diagnosed with

00:06:06.520 HPV, even if it's a high-risk strain in the past, still get that vaccine, as there's some evidence that

00:06:12.440 it can actually also help clear existing HPV. HPV is tricky. It's often misunderstood. So, if you have

00:06:19.960 any questions about it, drop them in my comments. All right. So, HPV. It seems like, based on what

00:06:32.840 I've read, if you're sexually active, most people have it. Now, most people don't, from what I

00:06:39.160 understand, get cancer from it. That does not seem to be the majority. And I go in to get like a yearly

00:06:48.520 pap, like every, every woman does. And I was curious, you know, the real guys that have the

00:06:54.040 answers to how many women have STDs are the gynecologists. That's who I want to talk to off 1.00

00:07:01.480 camera, not on camera, because they can't, they can't be honest when their customer base is the

00:07:06.680 ones paying them. Do you know what I mean? The customer base are the ones that's throwing it back

00:07:11.560 in these streets. Do you know what I mean? So, they can't be super honest and be like,

00:07:17.880 yeah, these women are whores and they all have STDs. But that would be the interesting question. 1.00

00:07:23.640 I was thinking about this. So, I asked though, the last time I was there, what age women tend to get 1.00

00:07:32.360 cancer if they get cancer from HPV? And he said it happens like five years later. Most of the time

00:07:40.760 it's in their thirties. When, if women get cancer, that's when they get it. 1.00

00:07:46.520 So, Alex Cooper, who's on Caller Daddy, apparently she got HPV when she was 23. And I'm like,

00:07:51.960 you must've been throwing it back from the time you were like 15. Have you already have cancer at HPV or

00:07:58.360 like on the next stage? So yeah, this is her talking about it. I was sitting in my bedroom

00:08:06.120 and I got a call from my women's health center. And my doctor told me that my results came back in

00:08:15.480 from my recent yearly exam. And lo and behold, I had an STD. I had contracted HPV.

00:08:28.600 And he proceeded to tell me that the strand that she had was one of the kinds that the vaccine

00:08:37.320 does not protect you from. Like an idiot, I ignored the diagnosis and 1.00

00:08:50.280 I felt so paralyzed by the information that he gave me about his ex that I basically just accepted that I 1.00

00:08:57.480 was going to have this for the rest of my life and I was screwed and I myself. And like every single

00:09:04.200 pap smear for the next four years came back HPV positive. So, and what I understand about pap smears

00:09:15.800 is because there's so many strands, they only, they don't test women for the actual, in general, 0.89

00:09:21.880 they don't test women for the actual strands. Um, because usually it clears on its own, but it's,

00:09:29.560 so if she was testing positive, that means she had, um, like the, it had taken the next step.

00:09:37.560 I think anyways, it had taken the next step from being just like a positive test. It like the cells

00:09:45.000 must've been different. I think. Oh, I went in for this procedure. I still hadn't told my mom

00:09:54.120 or any of my friends. And most importantly, I hadn't told Matt.

00:09:59.080 Yeah. So she was throwing it back with HPV and not telling anybody, this is why, this is why I keep

00:10:05.160 telling you guys, uh, I'm telling you the people with this stuff, they lie, they lie. And, um,

00:10:14.520 I I've done in-depth interviews with these people and the way they see it is look, I want to have a

00:10:19.400 sex life. I want to have a dating life. And I don't get to have that if I'm honest. And the ones that are

00:10:24.760 honest, it killed their dating life completely. So a lot of them just choose to lie. Is it curable?

00:10:30.360 So, um, I think you always, and I'm not a doctor. This is just what I've read.

00:10:37.160 I've seen conflicting things online, but from what I understand, it clears within two years

00:10:42.920 for most people when they're young. Um, however, if you get 16 or 18, that's when you're screwed. 0.89

00:10:49.480 Yeah. As most of you know, I have been fighting on the front lines of the simp

00:10:54.520 epidemic for years, but I need to tell you about a quiet weapon being ratcheted up against men that

00:10:59.560 is rarely talked about. It's not just the relentless anti-masculinity propaganda and

00:11:04.200 only fans hoes causing the societal issues that we discuss on the show. Did you know that the 1.00

00:11:09.560 average city's tap water contains trace pharmaceuticals and endocrine disruptors?

00:11:14.120 This often includes estrogen from birth control. The average adult consumes a credit card worth of

00:11:19.000 plastic every single week. That's five grams of plastic a week on average.

00:11:23.480 So it's no wonder that the average male's testosterone is half of what the average

00:11:27.880 was 50 years ago. Testosterone levels decline 1% a year. And without a course correction,

00:11:33.320 we are headed towards extinction. No matter how based you are, you need to be naturally boosting 0.88

00:11:37.880 your testosterone. My friends at chalk, C H O Q.com are on a mission to save mankind from extinction

00:12:26.120 That's C H O Q.com. My name, Pearl, is the discount code. At this point,

00:12:32.520 Matt and I were starting to get serious and we were dating. And for the first time, it just sucked

00:12:38.440 because I could really envision a future with a man. This is like not what I want to do and not what I

00:12:50.280 want to bring up, but I knew I was going to have to be honest about it. So I scheduled my leap procedure

00:13:02.280 and that night I told Matt we were having dinner at his house. And I remember like, I was so nervous.

00:13:09.720 I like went to the bathroom like 10 times, like looking at myself in the mirror, like practicing,

00:13:13.080 like how, you know, when you're doing that though, when you're like, I need to like,

00:13:17.400 I'm randomly bringing this thing up. Like what's the good in, like, what's a good time? Like when

00:13:21.480 he's cleaning the dishes or like when we're on the couch again, like I didn't know. And so

00:13:28.200 I was just embarrassed and I told him, Matt, I'm really embarrassed, but I need to be honest with

00:13:33.480 you and I want to tell you something. And I told him everything and he couldn't have been more loving

00:13:40.120 and understanding and supportive. That's like note to self, you guys, half the time we think that

00:13:44.680 someone's going to like judge us. It's like, they're actually going to be like, okay, I'm here

00:13:48.440 for you. Love you. And I'm like, oh fuck. And he had actually told me that he had gone for like his

00:13:54.600 yearly stuff and he didn't have anything. So I immediately felt better. I was like, oh my God,

00:14:01.880 thank God I didn't spread this to you. Yeah. They ended up getting married. This is what I mean. Men

00:14:07.960 are going to adapt to the marketplace. Um, cause men aren't in control. Like Doug MPA and I think

00:14:14.440 have talked about this before. Men are not in control of relationships. Uh, in my opinion,

00:14:19.800 they're not, um, men, if men were in control of relationships, they'd get the 22 year old baddies,

00:14:29.080 but men have to adapt to what's on the menu. And the menu is STD ridden hotties, um, born again, virgins. 0.98

00:14:38.840 And X only fans models. And you know, men are going to adapt to what's on the menu. I don't say 0.91

00:14:44.600 this cause I'm happy about it. Right. I don't say this in a way that I'm like, yes, I'm so glad this

00:14:50.200 is happening. Um, men, men will adapt to taking older women. Um, and you can see this because more

00:14:58.280 men still want relationships than women, even with the state of women. Right. So, all right, here's the next 0.86

00:15:05.160 one. So many women. Yeah. You guys are saying men control relationship opportunities. I, I disagree.

00:15:15.800 That's just not what I see. Um, because most men, if they hook up with a 22 year old, she doesn't want 0.61

00:15:24.680 to stick around. She's, and the data shows this, right? So yeah, even after sex, the 22 year old

00:15:33.160 still has the leverage. Cause she has like 20 dudes that are going to give her a relationship. 1.00

00:15:36.760 Uh, the man, not so much. And I'm not saying this to be like, I'm happy about it, but you know,

00:15:46.760 the more I've interviewed men about their experiences, it just seems like the, the women, 1.00

00:15:53.240 when they are quality, aren't signing up for relationships in general and they come back

00:15:59.560 when they're not quality. So older women, no, thank you. Well, again, like, cause if men were 1.00

00:16:06.680 in control of marriage and relationships, the, the women wouldn't be 32 getting married, they'd be 22, 1.00

00:16:14.040 but they're not. So yeah. Sorry. I'm sorry. I don't mean this to be like, I'm just being honest.

00:16:20.520 Like, I think it almost leads men down. Like, it'll make them go crazy. Cause they'll bang a 22 year

00:16:25.800 old and think, Oh, maybe she'll stick around. Um, not like, you know, but a lot of women don't. 1.00

00:16:33.320 Do you think the re the, this is the reason biology in men seeks younger women?

00:16:38.360 I mean, it's just less baggage, more, better fertility, more moldable. So yeah.

00:16:43.080 So many women get HPV 80% or four out of five women, if you need it spelled out because I'm bad

00:16:54.360 at math. So I did, I've had it twice. And because we get it so much, I honestly think that the way

00:17:00.600 they should tell us is in a fun way because getting HPV just means you're cool as fuck as you're 0.99

00:17:05.880 fucking instead of being like, Hey, you have HPV. I think that they should call you and use like the 0.99

00:17:11.960 NBC little sound, but for HPV, like HPV. Oh my God. I'm sorry. Oh wait, I was supposed to say HPV.

00:17:22.360 Oh, that's gross. Um, yeah. And that's, you know, like if men were in control of marriage and

00:17:29.560 relationships and men would be the one leaving, right? But women are the ones leaving. Unfortunately, 1.00

00:17:36.840 you know, it's, it is what it is. All right. And I think men are in control of marriage. Well,

00:17:47.080 again, if that were true, you guys would be getting the 22 year old baddies, but you're not

00:17:54.920 marriage starts when the women decide they're ready to get married. 0.53

00:18:00.200 And start entertaining the marriage offers. Sadly.

00:18:08.600 And I think, Oh wait, hold on.

00:18:14.120 A big part of that was shame. I just want to talk a little bit about Alex Cooper and just her most

00:18:21.960 recent podcast. She did on call her daddy about sort of this catfish experience that she had in Paris with

00:18:29.400 a guy she met on riot. I just want you to all know as a gynecologist, I, I myself have had HPV. I'm

00:18:36.440 going to just say that. Is that crazy to say that on this app? Um, about 80% of women who are sexually 1.00

00:18:43.720 active, men, women, both, whatever floats your boat will contract HPV at some point in their sexual life.

00:18:50.680 And there were even studies on nuns who supposedly never had sexual activity, who are also 0.51

00:18:56.040 testing positive. So I want to take the shame out of this. Um, when you come to the gynecologist and

00:19:01.320 see me, like I feel empathy towards you and I feel frustrated that a virus can cause cervix cancer.

00:19:09.080 Um, I don't feel any judgment and no one should judge you for that. And just like no one would judge

00:19:15.400 you for getting the chicken pox. It's a virus. There's literally nothing you can do. Live your life.

00:19:21.480 Um, go to the doctor and get your smears and get your HPV testing, but do not feel shame. I'm sorry.

00:19:27.160 Uh, okay. All right. Let's see who's next. Now we're having doctors saying, don't feel shame. Uh, okay.

00:19:39.160 Good morning. Let's talk HPV. Everyone's favorite topic. Oh, I got HPV last October after an abnormal

00:19:49.800 path. Okay. So HPV DNA high risk detected pap smear positive. So HPV testing was done as a sample for

00:19:59.800 cervical cells. These results were negative for the highest risk HPV. However, they did show the

00:20:05.640 presence of high risk HPV cells. So I think that means it's like stage two of it. So like the cells

00:20:13.000 are different. I want to Google, what is the average age? What is the average age women get HPV? 0.88

00:20:23.160 All right. Early twenties. Many women are exposed to HPV. Um, the median age of acquisition is 20.6 years

00:20:31.160 old. Um, early thirties, around 75% of women will have acquired a casual HPV infection.
