00:00:00.400 Issue 3. The Windsor Dashians. The British monarchy outlived Cromwell, but can it survive Meghan Markle? 0.93

00:00:10.700 Ed, will the royal family survive Meghan Markle?

00:00:17.080 Well, Meghan Markle, as far as I can work out, is still a member of the royal family, and this is something I would like to confront.

00:00:23.480 There's absolute nonsense occurred the other day, was it yesterday or the day before, when they put out this statement.

00:00:28.160 It's a very deliberately, vaguely worded statement. They've used this phrase a lot, the have your cake and eat it.

00:00:34.900 The statement said that they will no longer use HRH. They will be known as Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

00:00:46.200 They will pay back however many millions it was that was used for the refurbishment of Frogmore House,

00:00:52.160 and they will have the blessing of the Queen, and it's wonderful that Meghan has become part of the family, and isn't it great?

00:01:00.020 And everything's hunky-dory.

00:01:03.600 And then this was interpreted immediately in the British press.

00:01:06.660 I don't know about in Canada. Maybe they're more thoughtful there, less supine to the monarchy.

00:01:11.180 You know, the British press never even reported Prince William's affair with the martyrs of Cholmley.

00:01:17.340 Everywhere else in the world, it was big news. The British press didn't even report it.

00:01:21.220 And this was interpreted as, oh, the Queen's been decisive, and this is fair, and this is this mexit, they call it, this mexit.

00:01:29.240 And they've really gone for her, and it's been the hardest possible mexit, because they've lost their HRH.

00:01:35.600 And look, it's like he's lost. He's no longer royal. He's lost. He's not Prince Harry anymore.

00:01:41.080 He's Harry Duchess, Harry Duke of Sussex, and he's got to pay this money back.

00:01:46.520 And so basically, and they talk about an abdication, and they said it's like the abdication in 1936,

00:01:51.940 when King Edward VIII abdicated, and he was no longer king, and he renounced the throne for him and his successors,

00:01:57.520 and it's like that, and they've abdicated.

00:02:00.020 And it's an absolute load of old nonsense.

00:02:02.840 Nothing has happened. Nothing.

00:02:04.760 And I think now they put it out so quickly and so uncritically, and they just accepted this very vague statement.

00:02:12.360 For example, the Harry Duke of Sussex thing.

00:02:14.920 They said, oh, well, it's like Princess Diana, where she was no longer the Princess of Wales.

00:02:19.080 They declared she was Diana, Princess of Wales.

00:02:21.900 But there's been no change whatsoever.

00:02:25.220 Nothing's happened. It's just a PR exercise, because, I guess, because the marriage was on the rocks, was falling apart.

00:02:32.320 It would look, because of the selfishness and manipulativeness of Meghan Markle, it would look bad if there was a divorce or the marriage broke down, 1.00

00:02:39.260 particularly because of what with her being mixed race, half black, it would look very, very bad. 1.00

00:02:43.760 And so, therefore, everything was done to try and placate her, and everything has been done.

00:02:47.720 Nothing's changed. She's lost nothing.

00:02:49.900 All that's had to happen is that a very wealthy woman has had to pay back a few million quid for this Frogmore House renovation. 0.99

00:02:56.060 She's got everything she wants.

00:02:57.120 So, first of all, this loss of HRH, of the Royal Highness, they haven't lost the title.

00:03:02.280 They haven't lost the title.

00:03:03.640 They have agreed not to use it.

00:03:05.400 And they can't lose the title, because it's inherent in the concept of a prince, that a prince is his Royal Highness.

00:03:14.540 It's inherent in that.

00:03:15.760 Has he stopped being a prince?

00:03:17.420 This is something that people were talking about in the newspapers.

00:03:20.060 They were saying, oh, now he's Mr. Harry Windsor or whatever.

00:03:24.180 No, no, no.

00:03:25.280 His coat of arms hasn't changed.

00:03:27.560 He still has the coat armour of a prince of the blood royal.

00:03:31.300 So, he can call himself Harry, Duke of Sussex, though there's been some demotion.

00:03:37.840 Fine.

00:03:38.420 There hasn't been.

00:03:39.420 He's still Prince Harry, as is reflected in his coat of arms.

00:03:43.800 He's still HRH, as is implied by the fact that he's a prince.

00:03:47.800 Moreover, he's still sixth in line to the throne.

00:03:50.700 I checked the royal website today.

00:03:52.960 There's no abdication.

00:03:54.280 He's still sixth in line to the throne.

00:03:55.740 If there was a Nepalese-type situation in Britain, like there was in Nepal in 2002, where the crown prince went mad and shot a load of his family, and some distant uncle became king, if that happened, if it happens one day that Prince George goes mad and kills his father and kills his siblings and whatever, then Harry becomes king.

00:04:14.200 So, there's been no change at all.

00:04:16.360 Nothing's changed.

00:04:17.120 It's just a weird, manipulative PR exercise that the newspapers have been sucked in by and are now going back on it.

00:04:24.100 So, Kay Burley, her name is, of Sky News, declared that, oh, he's no longer HRH, he's no longer a prince, and he's had to eat her words.

00:04:31.780 Eat her words with swans on top.

00:04:34.080 Because now it's all been nonsense. 0.73

00:04:35.840 We've all been had, we've all been manipulated by the queen, by Elizabeth the Useless, who has just given in Elizabeth the Useless, who came to the throne, we have the empire, and will die rolling over an invaded country.

00:04:51.200 Elizabeth the Useless, and what's she done? 1.00

00:04:53.140 She's totally, supinely allowed herself to be taken for a ride by Meghan Markle, by this woman's obviously bad news, obviously already divorced at a very young age, and clearly an unstable, manipulative woman, taken this not very bright grandson of hers, taken him for a ride, break his heart, that's that. 0.97

00:05:11.620 But, and, as to try to precate the anger of the British people, they, at his, their addiction of duty, they try and make out, oh, they imply that he's no longer a duke, that he's Harry Duke of Sussex, rather than the Duke of Sussex, that he's no longer a prince, that he's no longer an HRH, and it's all nonsense.

00:05:27.060 He's all these things. 0.97

00:05:28.960 So, what a load of old bollocks. 0.94

00:05:32.460 What is she doing? 0.85

00:05:34.340 I mean, is she, again, to go back to the having your cake and eating it too, she wants to,

00:05:40.580 you know, and I'm, I'm evoking her father's statement, you know, which she made last night, I saw on Twitter this morning, is that she is living every young girl's dream of being a princess, but then, of course, we live in a egalitarian, democratic age, and so you can't really do that.

00:05:59.580 But she wants to maintain the celebrity of royalty, while basically messing with the concept of sovereignty, and so on. 1.00

00:06:12.100 It just seems to be this awful situation, but she's clearly, it's not like she wants to, you know, go off into private life or something.

00:06:20.460 She wants to, she wants to increase her celebrity and get in Disney films or whatever areas of pimping her out for. 1.00

00:06:28.300 And so she just wants, she wants to have the kind of celebrity while not actually fulfilling any of the duties and maintaining at least the concept of sovereignty. 0.91

00:06:41.100 Indeed, the whole idea is that you have this concept of noblesse of liege, perhaps you used to have something like this among southern planters to some extent as well, aristocratic ideals.

00:06:51.520 And this is that you have this great wealth and whatever, and with that comes this obligation to what's called bear port, so to do good works and to do whatever, and to play by the rules and to help the poor and whatever.

00:07:04.860 So there's this, there is this concept in royalty, and with the royalty comes these obligations.

00:07:09.920 You can't vote, you can't, you're not allowed to express political opinions, you're not allowed to do anything like that, you keep your mouth shut, like Kate Middleton has done, by the way.

00:07:19.480 You do what she's done, that's what you're supposed to do.

00:07:22.260 You're not an individual, you're representative of the monarchy, and the monarchy is what kind of holds together the nation.

00:07:27.340 And so, yeah, I think she's right, that she's got this little childlike fantasy, she's every girl's fantasy, who's the most eligible man in the world, it's the future king of England, okay, well, he was already taken, so okay, it's his brother.

00:07:40.060 And that's what she managed to get, this not very bright fellow, but even so, he's the future. 0.98

00:07:45.160 He's perhaps a bastard as well. 0.99

00:07:47.280 Probably, yes, that's one idea. 1.00

00:07:49.280 I had this idea that he's the son of Captain Hewitt, yeah.

00:07:52.440 And one suggestion online was that perhaps this is what's going on, they've wanted to get rid of him from the royal family for ages, because, frankly, he shouldn't be in line of succession.

00:08:02.180 But, you know, he still is.

00:08:03.980 But even so, she's bagged her, she's got the child of dreams, she's a princess, wow, can it get better than that?

00:08:09.300 But the problem is that that is not consistent with being able to do the other thing she wants to do, which is go around being the centre of attention for her, for being her.

00:08:19.440 That she wants to be an individual, that she wants to be worshipped for her, not because of the office that she embodies, that she wants to be able to express her opinions, and she wants to be a feminist as well.

00:08:29.820 She wants to feel that she's important.

00:08:32.180 Those things are opposite.

00:08:34.080 You can't possibly be left-wing and a feminist and be a princess and be part of this inherently unegalitarian, hereditary institution. 1.00

00:08:42.900 So it's just this dissonance in her messed-up, narcissistic mind, and it's not working, and she can't cope with it.

00:08:49.740 And what she wants is, as you say, have her cake and eat, awful cliché, but have her cake full of swans and caviar and corgis and eat it. 1.00

00:08:57.900 And that's what she has managed to get, because she's got it, because she will now be able to go around being woke and whatever.

00:09:03.320 And I'm afraid, even though she's not allowed to publicly say, I'm a princess, that's what the agreement is, she is.

00:09:09.860 That would be the assumption, yeah.

00:09:11.040 So she is, and she will be able to cash in on that, and eventually, I'm sure, she will tire of Harry and divorce him. 0.83

00:09:18.340 And then it'll be interesting.

00:09:19.880 Well, I'll give it a couple of years.

00:09:21.680 And then it'll be interesting to see what he does, because he's betrayed his people.

00:09:24.900 He's become incredibly unpopular in the UK as a consequence of this.

00:09:28.220 He's upset everybody in his family over this smoothie.

00:09:32.740 And then she will break up with him. 0.97

00:09:35.540 I mean, it's almost inevitable.

00:09:37.380 The heritability of divorce is very, very high.

00:09:39.340 Remember that she's already been divorced once.

00:09:41.340 And she's like she is.

00:09:43.420 So I would say it's inevitable.

00:09:45.420 So it's terrible for him, poor bloke.

00:09:48.960 Tyler, anything to add?

00:09:51.400 I don't know how I could possibly add to that.

00:09:53.540 I think he nailed it pretty well.

00:09:55.960 Although I'm just wondering what the hell was Harry thinking.

00:09:59.100 I don't think he thinks.

00:10:01.000 That's probably right, yeah.

00:10:02.180 I think he's inherited that from his mother.

00:10:03.840 Thinking is not his forte.

00:10:05.020 His forte is horses and helicopters and things.

00:10:08.940 I don't think thinking.

00:10:09.840 It's a sad day for the Spencer line.

00:10:12.760 A sad day for the Hewitt line as well.

00:10:15.320 And I don't know why it's been.

00:10:17.960 It's so obvious that he doesn't think. 0.98

00:10:19.500 Because he's gone from being a playboy under the influence of his mates, his upper class friends who are into parties and drinking and whatever, to being under the influence of this witch who has made him into this woke, cuckolded feminist. 0.98

00:10:33.620 So, you know, it's just terribly, terribly sad. 0.97

00:10:36.920 And I think that's what she's like.

00:10:38.060 I think she is a person.

00:10:39.060 That's what narcissists do. 1.00

00:10:40.220 They spread disorder and chaos and unhappiness wherever they go.

00:10:45.240 And they need to be kept away from.

00:10:47.100 But that's what she's done.

00:10:48.860 She's in some ways like the spiteful mutant that's entered the royal family. 1.00

00:10:53.460 She even did this at a very young age.

00:10:55.920 There's a fascinating YouTube.

00:10:57.440 I saw this on YouTube.

00:10:58.680 It was a news report.

00:10:59.920 But when she was, I don't know, 10 or something, she made a little name for herself by criticizing American commercials for homemakers.

00:11:11.920 So American companies were advertising, I think, soap or something for stay-at-home moms, effectively.

00:11:19.860 I mean, you know, nothing wrong with this at all.

00:11:23.100 And she was kind of woke before we even had that term.

00:11:26.920 And she was just, again, getting under people's skin, spreading disorder, even when she was 10. 0.89

00:11:34.300 And getting on the news as this annoying, complaining, virtue-signaling witch.

00:11:41.920 It's the first time little Meghan Markle was on TV.

00:11:44.980 And she was a firecracker even at age 11. 0.99

00:11:47.980 I don't think it's right for kids to grow up thinking these things, that just mom does everything.

00:11:53.120 For a social studies assignment, way back in elementary school in Los Angeles, Meghan and her classmates were asked to watch some commercials and assess their messages.

00:12:02.800 Recommended by more doctors, pharmacists, and Dr. Mom.

00:12:05.880 It's always mom does this and mom does that. 1.00

00:12:08.880 In particular, a commercial for ivory dishwashing liquid caught her attention because it used the word women.

00:12:15.400 Women are fighting greasy pots and pans. 1.00

00:12:17.900 And I said, wait a minute, how could somebody say that?

00:12:20.980 And now she's in her late 30s. 0.99

00:12:26.200 Yeah, and now she's in her late 30s and it's going to be just unadulterated, full throttle. 1.00

00:12:33.040 Basically, being annoying on a global scale.

00:12:37.920 I'm waiting for her to get plastic surgery. 1.00

00:12:40.520 She's getting to that kind of age where I think it's going to happen.

00:12:43.040 I mean, the woman I mentioned in the Question Time audience that had a go at somebody for being a white privileged male. 1.00

00:12:48.000 I think she's about 39 and she'd obviously had plastic surgery already at 39 and the same age as Meghan.

00:12:55.480 I don't think Meghan has had it.

00:12:56.820 If she has, it's sufficiently subtle that it's not noticeable.

00:13:00.000 So I think that'll hit in the next five years, which will be interesting as well.

00:13:03.560 But, but no, she's just, as I said, I've always, I knew this would be, everybody knew, everybody.

00:13:09.400 There was, they say it's racist.

00:13:10.540 It's not racism.

00:13:11.680 It was the most, nobody, she doesn't even look black. 1.00

00:13:14.680 And I think people just regarded it as exotic and interesting and nice.

00:13:19.100 And they wanted this guy, he's had a horrible time.

00:13:21.080 I remember his mother died when he was, how old was he, early to 13 or something.

00:13:25.660 And he walked behind the coffin, terrible time, traumatized him probably.

00:13:28.960 And he's always in the shadow of his brother, difficult thing to be, like Princess Margaret.

00:13:33.420 She had a lot of problems as well.

00:13:34.920 Couldn't marry, was quite young when her father died.

00:13:36.960 Couldn't marry the man she loved because he was divorced, whatever.

00:13:39.740 And you want these people to be happy.

00:13:41.640 And he would have been happy marrying some English upper class airhead, rah. 1.00

00:13:46.260 Right. 0.94

00:13:46.600 But he didn't.

00:13:48.240 Married her.

00:13:50.820 Sad.

00:13:51.740 As Donald Trump would say, sad.

00:13:53.300 It's sad.

00:13:53.860 Sad.

00:13:54.860 Sad.

00:13:58.960 Sad.

00:14:03.140 Sad.

00:14:03.840 We'll be right back.

00:14:33.840 We'll be right back.
