00:00:00.000 what is up guys it's andy frisella and this is the show for the realists say goodbye to the lies 0.99
00:00:21.260 the fakeness and delusions of modern society and roco the motherfucking reality guys today 0.59
00:00:26.400 we have q and af that is where you submit the q's and i give you the af um you can submit your 0.61
00:00:33.340 questions to email those in to ask andy at andy frisella.com and i will answer them as long as
00:00:42.000 they're decent questions if they're stupid i probably won't in fact maybe i might read them 0.98
00:00:47.040 on air and make fun of you we might start a segment for stupid questions yeah maybe that's what we 0.99
00:00:50.800 should do hey anyway i give the people what they want for the that's a whole nother topic all right 0.99
00:00:58.420 this is your first time listening welcome okay uh i am andy frisella i'm an entrepreneur uh i'm a whole
00:01:05.700 lot of other stuff too uh but i ran the mfceo project which was one of the most popular entrepreneurial
00:01:13.780 podcasts of all time and if you want to listen to the 330 episodes of pure fucking entrepreneurial 0.91
00:01:20.180 gold you could scroll back in the feed and start at episode one and you'll learn everything you
00:01:24.640 really need to know about how to win um q and af is sort of an ode to the mfceo project because the
00:01:33.720 answer to the problem that we have in this world is always going to be personal excellence upping our
00:01:39.980 standards becoming more successful becoming less dependent uh becoming better americans and better
00:01:45.560 citizens of the world that's what q and af is about it's about personal development how to win 0.99
00:01:51.240 okay so send me your entrepreneur questions send me your business questions send me your how the fuck 0.91
00:01:55.600 do i win questions and we'll answer them then sometimes you're going to tune in there's going to be cti 0.76
00:02:01.300 okay and that stands for cruise the internet and that's more of a uh comedy based uh take on the
00:02:08.920 headlines of the day we throw up three headlines we laugh at them we make fun of how ridiculous they are
00:02:14.400 and the people that believe them and then we talk about the problem that is real in society and how we
00:02:19.660 should fix it and so q and af and cti sort of go together like peanut butter and jelly all right
00:02:24.660 cti we talk about the problems and a little bit of solution and then in q and af we get more granular
00:02:30.940 and uh specific on how to solve some of these problems because they all start with us that's we're going
00:02:36.400 to do today other times when you listen you're going to hear real uh real talk real talk is a
00:02:41.400 five to 20 minute uh kind of rant you might call it uh it's my internal dialogue it's what i'm
00:02:46.800 feeling it's what's on my heart it's what i think is truth and uh usually i'm talking to myself on the
00:02:53.980 inside uh so most people get a lot out of those some people get their feelings hurt i don't really
00:03:00.540 care about those people i care about the people who are going to take the lesson and go win you're
00:03:03.660 my people the other people aren't then sometimes we're going to do interviews and that's called a
00:03:07.760 full-length episode we might have uh my successful interesting uh friends we might have people of
00:03:13.080 different opinions we might have people uh that have accomplished great things we might have people
00:03:16.860 who uh you know just have an interesting perspective or have completed live harder 75 hard and we have
00:03:23.520 conversations about how they did these amazing things and how you can do the same thing so the basis
00:03:29.700 of the show is to make you better to make the world better and i have a little bit different way of
00:03:34.160 doing that um so tune in listen up and if you find value in the show which a lot of people do
00:03:40.820 uh please share the show okay we have this thing that we refer to on the show as the fee the fee is
00:03:46.040 very simple if you like the show if it brought you value if it made you laugh it made you think if it
00:03:50.340 made you have a different perspective if you thought it was valuable information we ask that you share the
00:03:54.560 show and that's what we're talking about when we say pay the fee okay uh we don't run ads on the show 0.99
00:03:59.300 i don't uh take 30 minutes of the show and tell you to buy all this shit i don't try to sneak shit 0.94
00:04:05.220 in on you bro uh i own a whole bunch of companies that i could talk about i don't talk about those 0.98
00:04:09.380 companies really either uh mainly i just want to fucking serve and i want to help and i want to make 0.93
00:04:14.720 shit better and that's what we try to do here so if you are cool with it uh please share now with that 0.93
00:04:20.980 being said we have q and a and this is the co-host dj hi what's up hello children what you got there 0.98
00:04:28.220 uh oh i've got the uh best fucking energy drink in the history of the earth and that's what it's 0.85
00:04:37.760 called you know what's funny dude like that's actually what we call it people think it's a joke 0.98
00:04:41.860 yeah like when they came so we had these new energy drinks at one now i'm gonna fucking plug 0.97
00:04:46.260 after i just said what the fuck you said i just wanted to know what you had all right man all right 0.98
00:04:52.620 little razz blue razz sometimes we plug our own shit look uh we came out first form came out with 0.99
00:04:59.660 these uh these new energy drinks and it's a funny story because they for forever they were like what 0.89
00:05:05.980 are we gonna call them what are we gonna call them what are we gonna call them i'm like just call it
00:05:09.580 the best fucking energy drink in the history of earth and like i was kind of annoyed yeah and like 0.90
00:05:14.280 everybody kind of looked at me that's fucking genius like tilted their head and i'm like just take out 0.97
00:05:19.060 the fucking right right right so it's called the best energy drink in the history of earth like 0.98
00:05:22.980 that's the name of the drink and um we didn't put that on the can yeah because when you drink it 0.97
00:05:28.680 you're already gonna know what it is you know what it is all right hey what you drinking oh you are
00:05:32.560 the best drink ever exactly you know so that's what it's called but anyhow um little blue razzle
00:05:38.480 it was really cool dude like it was cool i made a little post about this yesterday um i was talking
00:05:44.620 to some of the team guys today about it you know i didn't have really much to do with this product
00:05:49.580 this product development you know i helped a little bit with the can i helped lay out the can a little
00:05:53.680 bit uh which i'm very proud of but the design of it yeah but but like dude i think back to all the
00:05:59.800 times as an entrepreneur that i was like literally fucking starving uh stressed out of my mind you know 0.90
00:06:07.000 the first years at s2 when we were before we even got into first form you know dude we were going 0.56
00:06:13.260 door to door we were knocking on doors and you guys were like why'd you have to go door to door
00:06:16.580 well you forgot that in 1999 and 2000 and 2001 all that shit there was no social media bro right 0.98
00:06:22.280 there was no there was no way to connect like there is today and so we did what the fuck we could to 0.99
00:06:27.840 get by and that's why when you hear me talking about like doing whatever the fuck you got to do 0.99
00:06:32.480 like a lot of you guys just ain't willing to do that because all of you got two feet in a fucking 0.99
00:06:37.640 hand for the most part you can go fucking knock on some motherfucking doors yeah you know um but like 0.99
00:06:42.780 dude i was like looking you know uh were you back there with me the other day when my older brother 0.99
00:06:47.000 was here and like we had all the inventory here we had fucking millions of cans of this shit yeah i was 0.97
00:06:52.240 like our warehouse was fucking packed we have a big warehouse guys are moving though man yeah yeah no 0.98
00:06:56.800 they're all gone all the drinks are gone um but like i'm looking at i'm looking at the can 0.93
00:07:04.640 and bro i drove home uh and i got emotional about it because like it was the first time ever i felt
00:07:13.780 like ever ever and i know this sounds stupid to some of you guys that have been following me for a long
00:07:17.880 time because like i've been successful and had you know done well for a long time but like that fear of
00:07:24.600 of like not making it like when you've really struggled it never goes away you know what i'm saying
00:07:31.120 like i've never forgotten what it's like to be that beginning level entrepreneur yeah and um 0.99
00:07:36.120 so your brain internalizes that oh bro i'm still that guy like i'm like like listen motherfuckers 0.99
00:07:41.600 the reason i run so hard and so fast all the time is because i'm fucking scared it has nothing to do 0.99
00:07:47.300 with anything other than that like i know what it's like to have to be like to have one fucking chance 0.97
00:07:52.340 and and and to have to make it and um it made me emotional to think about because like
00:07:59.460 you know this is one of the first products that we've come out with that you know i really didn't
00:08:06.220 do anything with and it came out amazing and like our this is like a this is a total team win yeah for
00:08:13.280 sure you know what i'm saying and then i started thinking about like how many amazing people that we
00:08:17.360 have that work here and then like what we get to do and how we get to help all these people improve
00:08:21.940 their lives through the transformation program or through a live hard program and like bro it just like
00:08:28.120 i don't know it was like very validating it felt like it was one of the like dude you guys know 0.98
00:08:32.880 that follow me like i don't fucking stop and smell the roses bro like i keep my fucking head down 0.99
00:08:36.580 and uh i move but it was one of the first times i guess i came up for air in probably a really long 0.97
00:08:41.820 time where i'm like man this is pretty neat you know what i'm saying like i'm here in this amazing
00:08:46.960 headquarters with these amazing people we're making amazing products we're helping people we're doing
00:08:50.960 shit um we got a long way to go you know we're not perfect we make mistakes we try to fix them
00:08:56.620 but um it just felt good dude yeah i mean the smell of roses things i mean i i get it right like i'm i 0.78
00:09:03.820 feel like i think similarly to that right um but i think it is important though to to like get those 0.91
00:09:10.600 uh i guess validations that you are heading towards the right direction with razzle dazzle is fucking 0.99
00:09:16.540 delicious pinkies up bitch this is good shit yeah but i think it is important though you know 0.99
00:09:21.740 every at least i just had my first drink of blue razz yeah it is pretty good pretty good see i i only 0.99
00:09:27.400 tried the orange before this the orange was good too this is good blue razz is like that's the move
00:09:31.880 that's the move cherry lime's good too all right um but i mean i think it's important to have those
00:09:37.500 validations that like you're going the right direction and to like truly like understand that
00:09:41.900 but like it's for sure dude but like from the outside in people hear what i'm saying and they're 0.98
00:09:47.840 like oh yeah fucking bro you you got fucking 15 for like they you know right right like look dude 0.99
00:09:54.440 that shit don't matter to me like it's cool i love it like i love my shit yeah but what's cool to me 1.00
00:10:00.060 is the fact that we started out with fucking literally a little bitty store um with less than 1.00
00:10:08.080 ten thousand dollars worth of product that we financed on a fucking credit card yeah and and 0.96
00:10:12.220 here we are doing products that are that are going to be global scale products you know our products 0.98
00:10:18.040 are sold all over the world now they're starting to go international we're moving it you know like
00:10:21.740 it just felt cool yeah and like i you know and people laughed at me when i made that post they're 0.98
00:10:28.320 like bro you're just now figuring it out like you got race team you got fuck right you got billboards 0.98
00:10:33.000 in fucking multiple cities all over the country you got fucking signage at major league baseball 0.99
00:10:37.700 stadiums and shit like yeah but like i don't you gotta understand i don't fucking get off on that 0.99
00:10:42.900 shit like i want to fucking be the best ever you know what i'm saying and so you know i don't know 0.94
00:10:49.460 it was just a cool moment i think it speaks to the goals too right like your goals are just so much 1.00
00:10:54.380 more massive that the milestones to normal other people would just seem like you know fuck like that's 0.77
00:10:59.920 i mean dude that's how it's gonna go for anybody in business you know when you first start you're 0.62
00:11:04.540 gonna you're gonna choose a goal that you can achieve right and once you get to that which you
00:11:09.680 will probably get to it much faster than what you think yeah you're going to expand that some more
00:11:14.840 and that's the difference between a lifetime entrepreneur somebody who's going to continue to
00:11:19.100 win or somebody who you know they get one or two wins big wins and then they just kind of like fade
00:11:25.460 away yeah and um you know the game of it like the the process of it and like see like i'm having much
00:11:31.980 so much more appreciation for like the jobs we're creating and things like that like it's just i don't
00:11:37.640 know man it's just it was just a cool fucking feeling yeah you know true i love it man yeah and 0.83
00:11:43.080 there was a 10 billion times i wanted to quit too like that i almost quit you know there's been times 0.98
00:11:50.720 where i've told my fucking like i've told chris i've told sal i told jason like i'm fucking done 0.99
00:11:55.200 you know like multiple times lucky for me they don't listen to me you know what i'm saying but 0.98
00:12:01.980 like um no they know when to listen to you well i mean no no no like they don't listen to me when i
00:12:07.720 say that right they know i'm just upset but like my you know just stick it out keep moving man yeah you
00:12:14.340 know that's really the lesson in all of this because you know i get a lot of credit because
00:12:20.540 of the things that have been achieved and the knowledge has been shared and all that but the 0.98
00:12:25.700 truth of the matter is is i learned all that by just not quitting by taking my fucking beatings and 0.97
00:12:30.540 getting the fuck back up that's really all it is yeah all it is that's why i never get the statement 0.98
00:12:35.520 when people were like oh don't forget where you came from how the fuck could i that's where i learned 0.92
00:12:40.360 all my shit why would i want to forget that that's something that people say um you know when they 0.98
00:12:46.540 when they see you getting a little too far away from them yeah you know i'm saying like they feel 0.99
00:12:51.700 like threatened that you're going to leave that relationship or friendship behind and the ironic
00:12:57.140 thing is is that when people say that you know i almost automatically remove myself from that
00:13:02.000 situation anyway because i realize that you're you what you're saying to me yeah is that you don't
00:13:06.780 want me to go any further i can't have that for what i'm trying to do right i'm pulling a big 0.93
00:13:10.540 motherfucking wagon dude yeah i can't have zero of that in my life yeah you want to keep your feet 0.99
00:13:15.640 stuck in fucking cinder blocks that's cool yeah i gotta mean i learned i learned you know the first 1.00
00:13:19.840 10 12 years maybe even the first 15 years i i would hear that kind of stuff and it would upset me 1.00
00:13:25.720 and i would be like man you know he's kind of right right right um or she's my best friend
00:13:31.160 growing up yeah yeah but now but now i look at it and i just you know they probably look at it as a
00:13:36.380 negative like oh he got too big for his britches and blah blah blah but how i see it from my side
00:13:40.540 is i can't have that level of of drag on on what i'm trying to do and it's nothing personal too much
00:13:47.700 friction no dude listen it's hard it's so fucking hard to pull that much weight that like and this 0.93
00:13:53.420 goes for anybody like this is a lesson i think that everybody should really think about you know
00:13:57.980 how many of your friends how many of your family are are taking your energy in a negative way
00:14:02.540 because when you're trying to accomplish big things you really have to have selective hearing
00:14:08.500 on who you listen to and what you allow in your life uh in regards to the input energy wise that
00:14:15.560 you allow in your heart in your ears in your mind you know what i'm saying and uh it's nothing 1.00
00:14:20.980 personal like i'm not saying go cut out all your friends or not or fucking hate them or fuck them like 1.00
00:14:26.820 some guys will be like oh fuck all those people that's not right either bro they're on a different 1.00
00:14:30.920 path than you and that's okay and they might not recognize that you're on a different path than 1.00
00:14:35.060 them but that's okay too right that doesn't mean you have to hate them like just keep fucking moving 0.94
00:14:39.660 bro like i i liked you know most of my friends that you know we went a little bit little ways without 0.98
00:14:44.640 talking and they were mad at me you know uh we have a better relationship now you know i don't see
00:14:51.380 ever talk to them all the time but they seem to be proud and supportive of me i you know like i well
00:14:57.120 when you do talk it's like you pick up where you left off yeah and everything that's it bro like and
00:15:00.760 that's the thing like there's a lot of people out there that i used to know or be closer with and a
00:15:05.260 lot of times they get upset because i don't give them the time anymore and it's not that i don't give
00:15:10.700 them the time it's i don't have the time yeah you know what i'm saying like back when i was trying to
00:15:15.420 grow the company and it was 2012 which was 12 years into our brand 13 years in you know i i have more
00:15:23.220 time yeah i could i could invest myself in individual like sitting at dinners or sitting at
00:15:28.660 now that's just something that is it's not even possible to do yeah you know and unfortunately
00:15:35.140 that's the truth of the reality yeah and and so um it's not like i could see how that could be 0.99
00:15:41.700 perceived on the back side like from their point of view like oh he fucking doesn't give a fuck he 0.98
00:15:45.780 never gave a fuck that's not it what it is is that i'm continuing to run with the same mission i was 0.99
00:15:50.920 running with and it's just gotten so heavy that there's no there's no other room to breathe yeah 0.98
00:15:56.380 so like what am i supposed to do like give up my dinners at home so i can fucking come dinner dinner 0.94
00:16:02.080 with with a different person that's only 365 people bro i know fucking hundreds of thousands of 0.99
00:16:07.760 motherfuckers right you know what i'm saying like like there's at least tens tens of thousands of 0.99
00:16:13.400 people like the math doesn't work that's what i'm saying so like and you get held to that standard 0.99
00:16:20.360 and that's a painful thing it makes you feel bad it makes you feel like you're failing but you have
00:16:24.720 to understand that that's not your obligation to entertain people um my obligation is to continue
00:16:32.340 to move forward with the mission right uh the best way that i can because i have the all these people
00:16:37.140 that depend on it you see what i'm saying that's real so it's like if you're spending every single
00:16:41.360 fucking day with your best friend i know that's cool but people don't understand that where do we 0.81
00:16:44.980 build it i take it personal and you guys in business should be prepared for that like that's a 0.99
00:16:49.060 reality of business you know i've had so many people that have judged me in the past
00:16:52.640 who have then become like successful in their own right or started their own thing i've even had 0.99
00:16:58.080 ex-employees who who went and started their own business uh and they're like fuck bro i fucking get 0.99
00:17:04.540 it and i'm like yeah you think like i've been trying to tell you you know um but you know that's 0.97
00:17:11.460 something that you should be prepared for and i think the attitude of you know you guys i think the
00:17:17.540 i think the best thing that i ever heard on this was uh tony robbins talked about this one time um
00:17:23.500 which by the way i you know i owe tony robbins a huge debt of gratitude because he got me on the path
00:17:29.160 of personal development and he did i think he's the most impactful human living in reality um he's
00:17:34.820 probably responsible for more personal success than any other man on the planet um he said that he was
00:17:43.180 talking in terms of relationships and the nature of different humans and he said that you shouldn't
00:17:50.820 look at a relationship that fails as a personal failure you have to understand that everybody's
00:17:57.300 on their own path and that the nature of other people might not be complementary to the nature of you
00:18:05.480 and so that's that's a reality of life and so like you know and we're getting into more of
00:18:12.180 a relationship thing here but the truth of the matter is is if we were all able to recognize that
00:18:18.020 without these strong emotions of jealousy or frustration or or you know the negative emotions
00:18:24.240 and we could just look at things in reality and say well this person's nature is just different than
00:18:28.360 mine this person's path is just different than mine and accept those things it makes things much
00:18:33.940 better yeah you know what i mean like you don't i don't have like i don't have hate in my heart for 0.90
00:18:38.200 people right even when people fucking come at me bro i don't hate that like i i listen bro okay i get 0.97
00:18:44.740 it like i'm fucking young i'm fucking all right looking i'm in good shape i i fucking make a whole 0.99
00:18:50.960 lot of money i've done a whole lot of cool shit you know i probably hate me a little bit too i fucking 0.99
00:18:55.460 get it like i'm being like real talk but but but to see the thing is that what makes what i think 0.98
00:19:00.780 makes me different is that i'm willing to fucking reach my hand out and pull you the fuck along 0.99
00:19:05.040 you know what i'm saying so you fucking hate me all you want but i'm gonna keep pouring good shit 0.99
00:19:08.940 in the world that's real bro yeah that's real well guys it is q and a so let's get into these 0.99
00:19:14.520 questions uh for andy andy question number one i was doing your sound effects for you huh i was
00:19:22.540 was that a what was that it was like the you know like the sound effects yeah there you go yeah
00:19:29.560 right see coca-cola just i kind of want to just trade with you real quick bro that blue raspberry 0.89
00:19:34.320 is fucking listen coca-cola can fucking um i'll do your i'll do your sound effects you guys you 0.99
00:19:39.580 can pay me with your woke money i mean i know that that that that balance is going you know it's 0.99
00:19:46.640 getting less and less but you know you guys should just hire me as your fucking ceo i'll fix your 0.99
00:19:51.160 shit anyway let's get into these let's do get into these andy question i'm waiting for you all 1.00
00:19:56.760 you did was fucking talk the first 19 minutes 14 seconds what the fuck is he damn dj z sean yeah 1.00
00:20:02.840 z sean the fuck yeah uh andy question number one can you walk us through uh how you forced yourself 1.00
00:20:12.340 to not only go through the hard shit but actually learn to love it and how long did that process take 1.00
00:20:19.260 in that transition i'm still learning you know the bigger you get the harder the fucking hits that 0.99
00:20:26.700 come you know um i think the biggest thing that you have to remember is that the bad times are coming 0.97
00:20:34.760 bro like you guys are gonna have bad times it's gonna happen there's no way to avoid it you're gonna
00:20:40.780 have situations you're gonna have people you're gonna have fuck-ups you're gonna have just bad 0.96
00:20:47.060 periods of time and you have to accept that as a reality and from a from an actual reality standpoint 0.98
00:20:53.980 those bad periods of time those struggle periods of time those times when you're the most fucking 0.94
00:20:58.900 frustrated the world's actually teaching you something and most people miss it because they 0.99
00:21:04.180 get so wrapped up in how bad shit is that they miss the fucking lesson and then they and then they 1.00
00:21:10.080 repeat the bad the same bad shit over and over and over so you know because they're they get wound up in 1.00
00:21:15.720 their own self-pity and their victimhood and you know by the way that's more popular than ever because 0.98
00:21:20.120 they want you to be a victim so my advice to anybody is for you to understand the reality
00:21:26.140 we're all gonna have storms bro we're all gonna have bad times but just like a real storm guess what
00:21:32.120 happens it moves the fuck along okay and sometimes they stay longer sometimes they go fast 0.63
00:21:39.100 but their sun always comes out dude and so like what are you gonna like my thing that i try to do 0.97
00:21:45.840 now as you know i'm in my 40s uh versus when i was in my fucking 20s and bad shit happened you know 0.99
00:21:52.240 when i was in my 20s and bad shit happened i would pity myself and i would say man i'm a fucking idiot i 1.00
00:21:56.720 did this and this and this i'm a fucking bad person you know i fucked up i'm stupid and i would 1.00
00:22:02.360 do all that shit now you know i'm like okay well that sucks yeah all right what the fuck does it 1.00
00:22:09.560 teach me what what i learned here you're looking for the lesson automatically like i'm i'm automatically 1.00
00:22:14.520 moving from the from the victim point or the self-pity point to the lesson immediately and that 0.54
00:22:20.340 doesn't mean the storm goes away immediately right but the minute i fucking know the lesson that i'm 0.95
00:22:26.360 supposed to learn and i take action to fix it i feel better even if the storm's still raging dude
00:22:32.540 you know what i'm saying i can sit there and say okay well you handle it it's gonna it's gonna work
00:22:36.680 we're gonna be good and that brings you some peace within the storm if that makes sense uh in terms of
00:22:43.600 loving it you know you don't love it you don't ever love it when you're going through it like that 0.90
00:22:47.680 like you know that's how it sounds you can make it look good yeah like i could fucking sit here and 0.97
00:22:52.500 bullshit you guys but i fucking love it you know but like bro really what that is is me 0.99
00:22:58.100 convincing myself that i love it so i can fucking push through it and sometimes that's what the 1.00
00:23:02.620 fuck it takes yeah you know and and knowing like for example like when i'm out doing 75 hard workouts 0.97
00:23:09.380 and i'm outdoors and it's fucking shitty bro i do love that because i can look around and the only 0.99
00:23:15.520 other motherfucker that's out there is maybe you right and if it ain't you there ain't nobody right 0.99
00:23:20.080 you know what i'm saying so like i do love that shit because i look around i look up and down my 1.00
00:23:25.480 street i look around the neighborhood wherever the fuck i'm doing it i've been doing this program for 0.99
00:23:29.460 a long time now there ain't nobody nobody doing it yeah and when you could physically see that you're 0.99
00:23:37.140 the only motherfucker out there grinding there's there's massive power in that in my opinion you know 0.97
00:23:43.200 i think that teaches you to value yourself and realize like how much stronger you are than you think you 0.99
00:23:49.180 are and so i love that feeling um in terms of business storms or life storms i try to adopt
00:23:56.600 the same attitude you know i try to absorb the negativity uh and that's another thing like you
00:24:02.940 have to learn to absorb the negative shit and process it and put it out in productive action
00:24:09.800 like that's a huge deal that production pivot where you have negative come in we talked about this 0.99
00:24:14.520 recently i think um and then you know you process it and then you put out you know in in productive
00:24:21.340 like bro like you know in 2015 i was 300 and fucking 30 pounds bro i'd make instagram content and people 0.99
00:24:27.920 were like you're a fat fuck and i'd be like fuck fuck you you know right but like the truth was guess 1.00
00:24:34.280 what they were fucking right i was a fat fuck and you know what i figured out that every time someone 1.00
00:24:40.020 called me fat i got off my fat ass and i went outside and did some fucking cardio and even if 1.00
00:24:46.200 it was only 10 minutes even if it was only 10 motherfucking minutes i would go do it because i 1.00
00:24:51.220 would if you could take the negative and turn it into immediate action bro you cannot be beat how do 0.95
00:24:57.400 you beat someone like that how do you beat someone like that how do you beat someone that the more
00:25:02.480 negative energy you throw at them the better they get you know what i'm saying yeah hell yeah so
00:25:09.500 process it you know think about it like that you know what i mean what are you learning what are
00:25:15.500 you learning what's it teaching you and think about it right like that and then and then take
00:25:18.720 positive action in that direction those two things will will help you get past these hardships this
00:25:23.300 person's asking about that's real andy question number two uh my company just finished up our yearly
00:25:30.820 surveys where employees review their direct supervisor i had an anonymous comment that said uh this
00:25:37.820 individual didn't find me to be approachable and they felt uncomfortable coming to me about things
00:25:43.320 that were on their mind should we as leaders uh ourselves make ourselves more approachable to our
00:25:49.140 staff and employees or is there a better solution a way to deal with this well i mean i get that all
00:25:54.920 the time i mean i get that in public i get that here i mean i get that all the time and you know the
00:26:00.820 best look oh no that's not it's not the truth you just look you might be like no no no listen
00:26:07.480 no no no no look dude listen we have enough employees here that some people hide right and
00:26:13.900 they're afraid and they don't want to come up and shake a hand and say hello i'm you know i'm steve
00:26:17.820 nice to meet you no when in reality that's an amazing way to to get yourself noticed like you young
00:26:23.920 people like whoever you're intimidated by go right up to them stick your hand out and say
00:26:27.800 hey i'm i'm steve i'm mary i do this here i know you don't know me but you know i wanted to 0.99
00:26:34.460 let you know who i was like that shit is powerful shit and you know not it leaves an impression and and 0.95
00:26:41.120 so um you know i've got i've gotten that comment a lot over the years and and i actually think there 0.99
00:26:48.000 should be some level of unapproachability to to at a leader okay like because you don't want people 0.89
00:26:53.660 bringing you every fucking thing that they have that's right i don't want mother like listen dude 0.99
00:26:57.560 no offense i care about you i care about your problems but if you're bringing me your fucking 0.99
00:27:02.520 personal problems every single fucking day you're holding up the train yeah and that's what some 0.97
00:27:06.920 people want like some people want to have such a buddy buddy relationship with their manager or 0.98
00:27:11.020 their leader that you know it's almost like this like friendship and and bro i'm not your 0.96
00:27:16.920 fucking friend i'm your fucking coach i'm like the gm i'm i'm like i'm like i'm up in the box 0.99
00:27:22.080 calling the fucking place exactly you know i'm saying like your job is to execute those 1.00
00:27:25.580 and that so we all have our job now outside of work we're at we're having a couple beers and we're 0.99
00:27:31.560 smoking a fucking jay we're talking we're fucking talk so there should be a level of of of boundary 0.94
00:27:39.200 between that respect listen and people don't respect it all the time so i don't really have a problem 0.98
00:27:44.520 with that so you know i wouldn't feel too personal about that um but what i would do like i spoke
00:27:53.980 about in the first question is i would you know maybe be a little bit more warm maybe be a little
00:27:59.220 bit more friendly to your team you know uh approach them you know and make an effort uh you know to be
00:28:05.900 more friendly and and let them know that at least you know yeah you i don't want you bringing me all
00:28:09.720 your shit but like bro i fucking care about you and we gotta win yeah right and so like dude it's 0.96
00:28:14.660 just a hard dynamic because when you especially like in a culture like ours where we are all friends 1.00
00:28:20.360 um but what i love about our culture here is that everybody respects the the boundaries of their job 0.74
00:28:26.060 too like i can have conversations with you know madat like out in the fucking gym we're talking about 0.99
00:28:31.140 all kinds of shit but when we talk about words about fucking work and i think if everybody acts like 0.97
00:28:35.280 a professional which you know is rare these days um and i think it's the reason i think it's rare 0.99
00:28:41.720 is because i think a lot of leaders are so fucking soft they don't want any boundaries between them 0.89
00:28:45.940 and their and then and then they complain about not being able to manage them or lead them right 0.97
00:28:49.480 right okay like if you're somebody who who you allow for these people to come in your office and 1.00
00:28:55.780 fucking vomit all their fucking shit all the time they ain't gonna listen to you dude when it's time to 0.99
00:29:00.860 crack that whip dude listen and i try not to do that but like you you have to maintain 1.00
00:29:06.060 there has to be respect of boundaries within the roles of the organization and how you you know so
00:29:12.860 maybe like this person would benefit some from spending some time with their people outside of
00:29:17.960 work so they understand that like hey dude i'm cool just like you're a normal guy yeah like like when
00:29:21.740 i'm out of work bro i'm not trying to fucking flex my authority and like i'm like bro we're all 0.94
00:29:25.420 fucking right we're all the same you know uh when we go in that reasonably of course yeah when we go 0.92
00:29:30.460 in that fucking building uh i have a role you have a role we all have a role and and and if you can 0.98
00:29:36.160 make them understand that they'll they'll kind of naturally start to believe and understand the 0.99
00:29:39.740 boundaries but like dude if you're a young person and you're you're new in a company and you're trying
00:29:46.060 to make an impression you should be going to your managers like making sure they know your name and
00:29:51.260 not like beating it in their head every day hey i'm steve hey i'm steve hey i'm steve uh but you 0.98
00:29:56.720 should introduce yourself once or twice and then work so fucking hard that they know who the fuck 0.97
00:30:02.420 you are yeah you know what i'm saying oh yeah so that's where i love it guys third and final 0.98
00:30:08.880 question andy how often do you have brainstorming sessions every day is it a group thing is it like
00:30:17.340 during your private time with andy like when you come up and then follow up when you come up with
00:30:22.440 these ideas what's your process of implementing them first off i brainstorm every day that's my 0.93
00:30:28.620 main role here my main role is to know where the fuck we got to go as a company yeah like i'm not 0.71
00:30:34.000 really even the ceo i'm sort of like the chairman you know what i'm saying like i'm i'm i'm i'm up in 0.98
00:30:39.640 the fucking tower of the titanic looking out five fucking miles ahead saying all right dude 0.93
00:30:45.880 go left yep iceberg yeah so that's my role so like i have to be creative all the time 0.99
00:30:52.680 um i'm creative every day i keep a whiteboard like i hang out you know i got my garage at home
00:30:58.640 a lot of you guys know uh i have a really cool garage at home it's all right yeah it's cool and
00:31:03.820 and i have a bar inside there and it's a it's like a lounge like a like a smoking lounge um and
00:31:09.800 you know most people would think it was for cigars but it's not all right yeah it's not for cigars 0.95
00:31:15.960 but anyhow um yeah so that's where i do my brainstorming and i have a fucking whiteboard 0.88
00:31:21.460 in fact bro i was seriously thinking about like doing like two month two whiteboard sessions a 0.64
00:31:27.160 month with companies you know what i'm saying like letting them come in uh me sitting down 0.99
00:31:33.280 whiteboarding out their fucking shit and then sending them on their way you know what i'm saying 0.99
00:31:37.960 yeah because like it's my favorite thing to do it's what i love yeah and uh you know i've had 1.00
00:31:42.980 a couple friends over at the house in the last you know since i've had the garage the last couple
00:31:47.400 years um you know i've had probably a dozen people there where we have whiteboard sessions and bro it's
00:31:52.840 it's fucking fun as shit yeah so i i try to get myself uh in that creative state you know and it's not 0.83
00:31:59.960 every day like i try every day but it's not every day sometimes it's when you don't even 0.96
00:32:03.660 want it to happen it just happens um and you constantly have to be on it on a on a search for 0.96
00:32:10.640 that that creative energy but you know um i don't know man that shit kind of comes natural to me 0.60
00:32:18.180 because i want to win so bad and i'm always creatively thinking about how like it's an obsession 0.62
00:32:23.820 for me on how we can improve and because like dude i don't want to just build a company i want to
00:32:29.660 innovate the way things are done you know what i mean like i want to do things so well that
00:32:34.020 companies from other other segments of industry whether it be automobile or whether it be you know
00:32:40.560 something completely unrelated to what we do they look at how we do it and they aspire to be that way
00:32:45.180 you see what i'm saying so i'm always obsessed with getting better and i'm obsessed with trying
00:32:50.140 to figure shit out and i'm obsessed with new new ways of doing things and i constantly ask like why do 0.68
00:32:55.360 people do things this way that's something over the course of my life that has served me very well 0.93
00:32:59.960 i ask why yeah you know like um there's a thousand ways it's gonna get yeah people like how do you how
00:33:06.400 do you how do you see all of this shit that's going on in the world well because i've become highly 0.98
00:33:11.360 accustomed to breaking things down from business you know like i look at how a company does shit 0.99
00:33:17.620 you know outside of our industry and it's okay i wonder why they do that and i've been doing that for
00:33:22.080 so long that it becomes my natural way of thinking you understand so so i would encourage you to try to
00:33:29.760 ask more questions ask why um ask how and you know how people are creative in different ways you know
00:33:40.040 i'm sure joe's in a different mindset like you got your own little routine for creativity right
00:33:44.100 like what is it you got a little smoking lounge too yeah i mean you know so it's you know uh and by
00:33:51.780 the way you know uh i did not smoke weed uh when i was like when i was in the grind of this company 0.96
00:33:57.800 from fucking 1999 to fucking the last four years i didn't smoke weed like i fucking didn't i actually 0.99
00:34:08.360 drank alcohol which i think is a lot worse um and i think if i hadn't have had alcohol in my life i 0.98
00:34:13.980 would have been where i'm at much sooner that's the truth yeah um but if i was a if i was a young 0.98
00:34:20.340 entrepreneur i wouldn't fuck with any of it because to be honest with you it slows you down in every 0.99
00:34:24.340 single way um just tell them the same goes for all of that shit yeah yeah so following up though 0.99
00:34:32.480 how do you implement that once you got the you know trillion dollar idea you come up with well then i 0.99
00:34:38.180 so for me like you like this person you probably maybe you have another key person or even if you
00:34:43.880 don't um you know for me at this point in time i take those ideas to the team you know and i break
00:34:49.920 it down i see what they think and if they think it's a good idea i let them handle it because
00:34:53.740 they're good um but when it was just like me you know uh i would break the shit down it would be a 0.88
00:35:01.640 whiteboard then i would break it down on steps that need like a prioritized step list of things that 0.90
00:35:06.120 need to happen to implement that idea and then i start fucking crossing them off dude yeah you know 0.93
00:35:10.880 the most valuable thing that i've ever was ever taught from my dad was make a list call the list
00:35:15.880 when you call the list you call the list now and he was talking about sales calls but that applies to 0.98
00:35:21.460 anything you know like you make a list you fucking cross the shit off when you're gonna do the shit 0.98
00:35:26.720 that's on the list you do it right fucking now that's right and that's a huge huge concept that's 0.97
00:35:31.960 very simple that actually works exactly as you think it would that's why the power list that i
00:35:37.920 give away for free uh you can listen to episode 16 or real af it'll give you the whole plan we sell 0.91
00:35:45.080 a power list journal on the on the website but like you don't need it you can do it in a fucking 0.99
00:35:48.540 notebook you know what i mean i give the fucking system away for free and that's another thing like 0.98
00:35:53.160 i'm a really good systems guy like that system you like dude if you follow the power list and you 0.96
00:35:58.680 actually follow it it would be really i i say this for legal liability
00:36:06.260 it wouldn't be impossible to lose but it would be impossible to lose you know you know what i'm 0.97
00:36:14.440 saying like you have to really you got to try to fuck up yeah you you if you follow it the way i 0.99
00:36:22.040 dictate out okay and not fuck with it don't fuck with it like a lot of people like a lot of these 1.00
00:36:27.540 people think they can fuck with things listen bro i'm fucking smart yeah i'm proven okay i'm gonna do 0.99
00:36:33.200 eight things hold on i've thought that before right okay i under why do you think i don't put 0.99
00:36:38.380 eight things on there because you can't do eight things every single day and eventually you're going
00:36:42.220 to get down to just getting three things and that's going to be your standard and you're going to look
00:36:45.740 around and be like why is my life not changing well because you don't believe that you can get the 0.69
00:36:49.980 fight like there's a go listen to the fucking episode it's episode 16 like it explains it perfectly 0.95
00:36:56.160 but um it's that simple bro and i think you know when i think back to when i had nothing and i was 0.90
00:37:04.460 just starting out you know there's a lot of mystery to winning and success like people look at it like 0.99
00:37:09.720 this fucking thing like it's a thing that you're gifted with motherfucker it is not that like i use i 0.99
00:37:16.660 call it the success fairy okay and the idea of the success fairy is that like there's some fairy 1.00
00:37:23.820 that flies around or or you could call it god or whatever and it mystical being i call it the 0.82
00:37:30.540 fucking success fairy because that's how it always i always thought about it in my head i literally 0.98

00:37:44.560 success i thought there was like a show like a chosen aspect to it and in reality dude um not just in
00:37:52.240 my own case but in my observation of other entrepreneurs for the last fucking decade that's 0.99
00:37:58.740 not this is not true the ones that win are the ones that they fucking cross the shit off the list 0.95
00:38:03.980 the most consistently every single day most people win so it has nothing to do with your natural gifts 0.81

00:38:42.140 you touch it third time i can't help you all right but the truth but that's the truth yeah that's the
00:38:47.560 truth that's real so if you can learn from your mistakes and you can you can develop the grit and
00:38:54.880 the fortitude and the mental toughness to keep moving okay which you can learn about in episode 80
