00:00:00.360 I can stack them hundreds to the roof. I ain't stopping till they stack to the moon.
00:00:04.860 Without me, my family wouldn't have food. Anybody go against me gotta lose.
00:00:12.380 What is up, guys? You're listening to the MFCEO Project. I'm Andy. I'm your host, and I am the motherfucking CEO.
00:00:20.360 Guys, today is Thursday Thunder, and I've got something special for you before I get into that.
00:00:25.780 A couple housekeeping things. First off, I appreciate everybody's dedication to the two-minute drill, okay?
00:00:34.960 The 100 to zero hashtag, et cetera. But I'm going to be real with you.
00:00:39.960 I feel like it's keeping people from commenting real shit, okay?
00:00:46.420 So we're going to change the two-minute drill just a little bit.
00:00:50.040 So instead of just asking you guys to hashtag 100 to zero and picking winners based upon that, that's not what I'm going to do anymore.
00:00:59.780 What I'm going to do is I'm going to pick people who have useful shit to say.
00:01:05.080 I want a relevant comment after the 100 to zero, whether it be about the post, whether it be about the latest podcast, whether it be about the progress you're making, et cetera.
00:01:15.640 But I feel like what's happened, and, you know, this is a part of business.
00:01:20.080 Sometimes you try things, and they don't work out the way you want.
00:01:22.620 I feel like what has happened is it's created a situation where some people are just hashtagging that for free shit.
00:01:29.220 And that's not what this is about, okay?
00:01:31.600 That's not what this movement's about.
00:01:33.180 I love to give you stuff.
00:01:34.760 I love to reward people, but I want to reward people that contribute for real.
00:01:38.840 So the two-minute drill will stay the same, and as you know, I really don't follow my own rules.
00:01:47.280 So like two minutes or five minutes or ten minutes, sometimes I just find myself picking winners anyway who have good stuff to say, whether they're in that first two minutes or not.
00:01:59.260 So the best thing to do, guys, is to, you know, set your alerts on so that you get notified.
00:02:05.100 And then also what I'm going to ask people to do is like, dude, hashtag 100 is zero, but leave me a comment.
00:02:11.560 You know, say something that, you know, that matters to you.
00:02:16.060 Be relevant.
00:02:16.800 Get involved in the conversation.
00:02:18.460 And what we're really looking to do here, guys, is create a community of like-minded people.
00:02:23.260 And I'm going to start giving the Skypes, you know, the admission to the new academy, the books, the gear, all the shit that we're giving away to people who aren't really involved.
00:02:34.060 And so that's the first change that we're going to make amongst a few changes coming up.
00:02:38.900 But as for right now, that's how the two-minute drill is going to work from now on.
00:02:43.320 I really appreciate you guys participating.
00:02:46.580 It means a lot, but I don't want it to water down by just having people randomly hashtag it because they want some free shit, all right?
00:02:54.220 And I realize this is probably going to cut down on the number of comments.
00:02:57.120 That's okay with me.
00:02:58.200 This is not for everybody.
00:02:59.380 I want people who are really learning, who are really communicating, who are really involved, and who really care.
00:03:06.640 And most importantly, who are really fucking taking the information and going out and doing it, all right?
00:03:12.240 So, guys, that's going to be the change, 100 to zero, plus a comment.
00:03:16.020 And those are the people that are going to get picked.
00:03:20.220 Again, turn on your post notifications.
00:03:22.560 Instagram's severely limiting who gets to see what, et cetera.
00:03:26.440 So, that's the change for that.
00:03:29.860 Now, before I get into what I'm going to talk about today, because it's a little different, I want to share something with you guys.
00:03:38.360 I get asked a lot about my tattoos.
00:03:41.540 People are like, what are your tattoos?
00:03:42.720 What do they mean?
00:03:43.280 What are they tattoos?
00:03:44.080 Well, almost all of my tattoos are from Greek and Roman mythology.
00:03:51.000 I'm kind of a nerd in that aspect.
00:03:52.820 And so is Vaughn.
00:03:54.980 Well, Vaughn's just a nerd.
00:03:56.440 But Vaughn and I get in these discussions about Greek mythology all the time.
00:04:02.320 And it's pretty interesting because as different as we are, we're really a lot of ways the same.
00:04:09.240 So, I want to talk to you a little bit about some of this stuff today because I think it relates really well to what's going on in the world.
00:04:17.180 So, I want you to do me a favor.
00:04:18.520 I want you to reach in your wallet and take out a dollar bill.
00:04:23.100 Look at it closely.
00:04:24.280 What do you see?
00:04:25.340 If you look at it long enough, you're going to see the words, in God we trust, written on it.
00:04:29.940 That's in the news right now.
00:04:31.340 Some people feel that we should take that off our money.
00:04:34.300 Some people feel very strongly that we should keep it on.
00:04:37.840 I'm not getting into that debate.
00:04:39.140 What I will say is the reason that phrase was put on there in the first place was because the people who started America were people who believed in God.
00:04:48.840 Just like the vast majority of people on this planet believe in God.
00:04:53.440 However they define God, they believe that there's someone or something out there.
00:04:58.480 Some higher power.
00:05:00.080 Some force in the universe.
00:05:02.320 Something.
00:05:03.560 But it's something good.
00:05:05.000 And they believe in that higher power.
00:05:08.800 That's something good in the universe.
00:05:11.600 They believe in being good people.
00:05:13.740 And they believe that they should live their lives so that they become a force for good.
00:05:20.700 There are a lot of people out there who want to be good people, aren't there?
00:05:24.140 But how many of those people are a true force for good?
00:05:29.380 Now look at the dollar bill again.
00:05:30.880 What do you see?
00:05:32.080 If you look long enough, you're going to see an eagle.
00:05:33.960 That's a symbol of America, right?
00:05:36.100 Well, long before it was a symbol of America, it was a symbol for something else.
00:05:40.800 One of the greatest empires in the history of Earth.
00:05:44.620 The Roman Empire.
00:05:46.300 The Romans fucking dominated everything.
00:05:49.840 At one point, they had conquered over 25% of the world's population.
00:05:55.620 They were the smartest, the brightest, the most innovative, and accomplished people on the planet.
00:06:01.200 What made the Romans so amazing wasn't that they came up with all the best ideas.
00:06:07.040 What made them amazing was that they took the best ideas and made them better.
00:06:12.620 One of those ideas they borrowed from the Greeks.
00:06:15.220 It was the concept of Arete.
00:06:17.860 Arete comes from Ares, the Greek god of war.
00:06:21.060 So there's this association with war and battle and conquest.
00:06:26.380 But generally, the word Arete means excellence.
00:06:30.900 In the ancient writings of the Greeks, the heroes were always people of Arete.
00:06:36.520 In the Iliad, Achilles was the greatest warrior.
00:06:40.300 He was a battle machine, physically superior to everyone.
00:06:44.740 He possessed the greatest Arete.
00:06:47.060 In another ancient Greek story, the Odyssey, the hero who has the most Arete is Odysseus.
00:06:53.380 But he possesses far more than just physical excellence.
00:06:57.480 He totally dominates when it comes to his ability to communicate, think, and lead.
00:07:03.800 When it comes to being a person of intelligence and influence, he has the highest Arete.
00:07:08.760 So what happened was, for the Greeks, Arete came to mean not just being an exceptional physical specimen like Achilles,
00:07:17.480 but also the total package as a person like Odysseus.
00:07:21.840 Fight, think, speak, do everything in a totally dominating fashion.
00:07:29.280 That's what it means to live with Arete.
00:07:32.800 So back to your dollar bill.
00:07:34.720 In God we trust, the eagle of Rome.
00:07:36.840 Put it together.
00:07:37.540 Be a force for good.
00:07:39.740 And be a certified dominator in all that you do.
00:07:44.380 Isn't it interesting that both of those things are printed on money?
00:07:47.720 In my experience, that makes perfect sense.
00:07:50.520 When you're a good person, when you're connected to God and want to be a force for good,
00:07:55.100 when you provide real value to the world,
00:07:57.640 and when you go above and beyond everyone else's level of excellence,
00:08:01.840 that's when you become wealthy.
00:08:04.180 That's when you make money.
00:08:05.760 That's when you make an impact.
00:08:08.540 That's what it means to truly become successful.
00:08:12.060 That's what it means to live with Arete.
00:08:14.280 Oh, and remember that I said the Romans would take other people's ideas and make them better?
00:08:19.080 Well, they did that even with the Greek idea of Arete.
00:08:22.640 To the Romans, it wasn't just becoming physically dominant.
00:08:25.420 It wasn't just becoming a master thinker and communicator, influencer, and leader.
00:08:30.480 The Romans wrote their own ancient story.
00:08:33.100 It's called Aeneid.
00:08:34.740 And in that story, the hero Aeneas has one main quality.
00:08:39.740 He's 1,000% faithful and committed, not to himself, but to Rome.
00:08:45.840 His excellence was that he was committed to a community that he considered bigger than himself.
00:08:53.220 You see, the reason the Greeks were conquered by the Romans was that the Greeks were excellent,
00:08:58.180 but they were all divided.
00:09:00.040 They were out for themselves.
00:09:01.680 They were fighting amongst themselves.
00:09:04.120 But the Romans found strength in numbers.
00:09:06.760 They knew that as impressive as the Greeks were as individuals,
00:09:12.100 if the Romans bound together, they would be totally united to something bigger than themselves
00:09:17.980 and would become unstoppable.
00:09:21.820 That's how they took Arete to the next level.
00:09:24.600 Now back to money.
00:09:26.380 Are you looking at that dollar bill?
00:09:27.580 Because you should be.
00:09:29.200 You know what else is written on that dollar bill?
00:09:31.080 The phrase,
00:09:32.020 E pluribus unum.
00:09:33.660 Out of many, one.
00:09:35.920 You get it yet?
00:09:37.300 Become a force for good.
00:09:38.920 Become a certified dominator in everything you do.
00:09:42.260 Creating wealth and success and uniting with other people who want to do the same thing.
00:09:49.080 That whole philosophy created, in my opinion,
00:09:52.820 what is the greatest country in the history of Earth.
00:09:56.720 And guess what?
00:09:57.500 It's getting back to that same philosophy and approach to life,
00:10:01.280 returning to that mindset that's going to restore greatness in our nation,
00:10:06.760 and our culture.
00:10:08.480 Actually, the truth is, the philosophy of Arete is what can restore greatness,
00:10:13.740 not just to America, but to any country on the planet.
00:10:17.880 It can make every country on the planet great.
00:10:20.540 And not just every country, but every person.
00:10:23.520 It can make you great.
00:10:24.520 It can make you great.
00:10:25.300 A force for good.
00:10:26.900 A certified dominator in everything that you do.
00:10:30.680 A person of wealth.
00:10:32.120 A person of success.
00:10:33.800 The person that you were born to be.
00:10:37.540 Guys, we are creating a whole movement of people committed and driven by Arete.
00:10:45.360 This is why we started this podcast.
00:10:48.100 This is why it's called the MFCEO Project.
00:10:51.940 100 to 0, that's just a modern way of saying Arete.
00:10:56.240 All right?
00:10:56.840 I don't do this for the people who talk about it.
00:10:59.700 I don't do it for the success zombies.
00:11:01.920 I don't do it for the dreamers.
00:11:03.480 I don't do it for people who one day or someday are going to do something.
00:11:08.640 I do it for the 2% of you listening right now who are going to go out,
00:11:13.780 take the information that we've given you, and fucking execute.
00:11:18.100 I do it so that you guys can learn to be a fucking weapon
00:11:22.500 when it comes to being successful, being an entrepreneur, moving forward,
00:11:28.240 and creating the person you were born to be.
00:11:31.440 It all starts with Arete.
00:11:34.260 We've started something.
00:11:36.720 You've got to go fucking finish it.
