00:00:00.000 what is up guys you're listening to the mf ceo project i'm andy i'm your host 0.86
00:00:10.840 and i am the motherfucking ceo uh guys today um i've got a little bit of a story that's kind of 0.65
00:00:19.300 going on right here with our company uh and one of the guys in our company i want to share with 0.97
00:00:24.000 you guys um a lot of you guys have seen on my facebook uh and my instagram that one of our
00:00:31.500 guys cole wright was in a real bad motorcycle accident last night um broke his pelvis broke
00:00:37.880 some bones and his spine uh has a lot of internal injuries um he's in intensive care here at st
00:00:45.020 louis university hospital um he's gonna live and and luckily it looks like he's not going to be
00:00:52.060 paralyzed or anything like that he's going to be on crutches uh and have to go through a lot of
00:00:56.460 physical therapy for the next year um but i spoke to cole this morning via text and he said something
00:01:06.940 to me once i text him i said hey man how's everything going uh you know how you hanging in there and he's
00:01:14.420 like i'm great i really appreciate the text like really enthusiastically and what that got me
00:01:22.320 thinking about guys and what i what i told him uh we talked back and forth for a minute but i told him
00:01:28.200 you know that as much as this sucks um you know these kind of things that happen to you these very
00:01:35.900 extremely extreme uh situations that that are very hard to overcome these big obstacles
00:01:42.740 these things end up being some of the best things that happen to you and i told him i said i don't
00:01:49.200 expect you to see that today but through his recovery and through his work and through his coming back from
00:01:56.120 that he's going to have created a story that is going to inspire and encourage people
00:02:01.420 to overcome their own obstacles whatever those might be and i'm a real firm believer that you're
00:02:08.000 not going to find one really successful person out there that doesn't have a real story of overcoming
00:02:14.520 obstacles because just like in the weight room without resistance you can't grow you know your muscles are
00:02:21.720 not going to grow without weight resistance your your uh mental uh fortitude and strength and ability
00:02:28.960 and skills are not going to grow without resistance and that's why every single person you meet
00:02:35.580 who is very successful athlete or a very successful business guy or whatever they have a story of
00:02:42.720 overcoming extreme obstacles okay it's not because they're making them up it's because those obstacles
00:02:48.820 are what eventually help determine and develop and uh you know create the skills and the fortitude
00:02:57.940 and the persistence that's needed to succeed and you know in a lot of ways as bad as this is for cole
00:03:05.420 right now it really is going to be a big blessing because he has a long road ahead of him and here's
00:03:11.920 the thing about cole's recovery that he doesn't understand yet is that there's going to be days where he
00:03:18.440 doesn't feel like doing rehab like right now everybody's cheering him on and they're saying yeah cole we're
00:03:23.620 praying for you we're pulling for you you know let's get well soon and he feels good just like
00:03:29.180 any of us would but once that fades out and it will fade out you know he's going to have to deal with
00:03:35.680 the step by step by step recovery process and that's going to be a very lonely road it's going to be a
00:03:41.900 tough road and there's going to be days where cole doesn't want to get out of bed to go to physical 0.70
00:03:47.460 therapy he doesn't want to go do the work that needs to be done and as positive as a guy of a guy
00:03:53.080 as he is i know there's going to come times where he doesn't want to do it but here's the thing and 0.95
00:03:59.340 this is what's great about situations like this he doesn't have a fucking choice okay he doesn't have 0.90
00:04:05.800 a choice but to go through the rehab he doesn't have a choice but to work through the pain he doesn't 0.96
00:04:11.960 have a choice but to try to overcome all the little obstacles that he's going to have to overcome over 0.62
00:04:17.320 the next 12 months he doesn't have a fucking choice and that's where people that succeed in 0.87
00:04:22.800 life whether it be financially or any other area but this is an entrepreneurial podcast so primarily 0.97
00:04:28.800 we're talking about financial success successful people don't give them give themselves a choice but
00:04:35.800 to succeed they look at it very parallel as if they were somebody who was recovering from a
00:04:42.640 significant injury or obstacle that had to do the work and that's what cole is going to learn through 0.95
00:04:48.660 this process now cole's a very determined guy he's a very tough guy he's a very strong guy and he's a
00:04:54.140 great guy here at the company but it's going to develop his mental acuity and his ability to
00:05:00.140 persevere and his ability to fucking have grit to the point where the other things that come through 0.90
00:05:06.840 his life are going to be that much easier and guys when you're working as an entrepreneur and you're 0.98
00:05:11.960 working as a business person and you're financially driven and you want to succeed you guys have to 0.93
00:05:18.200 get to the point where you're not giving yourself a choice it is i am going to fucking succeed no 0.93
00:05:24.900 matter what i have to do no matter how hard it is no matter how difficult the road no matter how many 0.89
00:05:31.480 obstacles stand in my way no matter how many people stand in my way no matter what on the days i don't 0.94
00:05:39.700 feel like it guess what i'm still getting up i'm still putting my fucking work boots on and i'm still 0.99
00:05:45.740 going out and kicking fucking ass that's what people who succeed do and a lot of times these people who 0.99
00:05:56.160 succeed in life develop this ability to persevere and put their backs against the wall and give 1.00
00:06:04.200 themselves no other options you know go back and listen to zero option mentality but to succeed 0.85
00:06:10.900 by choice you know there's two ways to fucking have a zero option mentality there's one way you 0.93
00:06:19.460 could be injured like cole is and literally not have a choice your choice is to either get better 0.98
00:06:24.580 or fucking be in a wheelchair or be handicapped or be physically uh you know uh disabled for the rest of 0.99
00:06:32.240 your life which i know he's not going to do so he doesn't have a fucking choice but in success 0.99
00:06:38.540 people who are extremely driven extremely successful and extremely um well accomplished they have the 0.92
00:06:47.480 ability to mentally flip that switch to where they don't have a choice but to do the things they need
00:06:54.640 to do if you talk to them it will sound really fucking weird okay because they'll talk as if they don't 0.95
00:07:01.120 have a choice they will talk as if they don't succeed the world is going to fucking end and they 0.94
00:07:07.300 have they have conditioned themselves to believe this as fact okay they think that if they don't 0.99
00:07:14.560 succeed their world will end and you know what their world will end because that's how much fucking 0.94
00:07:20.100 pride and how much focus and how much intensity and how much drive and how much value they put on success 0.97
00:07:27.480 to where if they don't get to where they want to go their life will have been a waste and guys i'm telling 0.96
00:07:35.860 you right now success is hard being successful is very very hard it takes every fucking bit of your focus 0.99
00:07:44.860 every bit of your energy every bit of your concentration every single bit of your fucking soul 0.98
00:07:52.800 is required to get where you want to go and that's why in this situation that i'm talking about with my 0.98
00:08:00.200 friend cole i'm actually really thankful because this fucking situation that he's dealing with 0.99
00:08:06.540 which seems like it's going to be terrible is actually going to end up being the best thing that ever 0.83
00:08:11.680 happens to him and guys you guys if you could develop the perspective of your obstacles actually
00:08:18.460 being a workout for your brain for your fortitude for your intensity for your ability to persevere
00:08:25.920 and see them as a benefit as opposed to seeing them as some negativity or an obstacle or some sort of
00:08:33.360 thing that's holding you back how much more positive would you feel about your journey how much more
00:08:40.240 positive would you feel if every time someone stood in your way or every time a situation didn't work 0.98
00:08:46.300 out you didn't look at it as like oh shit man this situation sucks blah blah blah no you say you 0.97
00:08:51.920 know what this is great because i have an opportunity to grow i have an opportunity to get stronger i have 0.98
00:08:57.200 an opportunity to get better that my competitors and the people that i'm going to be competing against
00:09:01.640 my entire fucking life don't have which puts me in an extreme advantage 0.79
00:09:06.940 how valuable is that mindset how much happier would you be how much stronger would you be how much more 0.99
00:09:16.000 impactful would you be to the people around you with that level of thinking guys your obstacles are
00:09:21.700 not obstacles your obstacles are tools for you to use for you to get stronger whether it be mentally
00:09:28.060 physically psychologically it doesn't matter emotionally your obstacles are there to teach you 0.90
00:09:36.640 they're there to mold you they're there to forge you into a fucking machine but unfortunately most people 0.98
00:09:43.480 don't look at obstacles that way they look at obstacles as this negative thing life hates me 0.99
00:09:49.260 the universe hates me god hates me i'm unlucky i'm i'm the worst that there is bad things only happen
00:09:56.180 to me and that's because you're choosing to see things the wrong way you're choosing to pick the 0.99
00:10:01.500 perspective of you're a victim as opposed being a fucking battle hardened motherfucking warrior that is 1.00
00:10:09.520 going to kick ass and you are so thankful for these obstacles that they are going to make you stronger 0.99
00:10:14.860 more effective and more successful over the course of your life i challenge you guys to see your 0.99
00:10:21.700 obstacles as a great thing i challenge you guys to see your problems as a great thing i challenge you 1.00
00:10:28.600 guys to quit being victims and fucking pussies and whiny little crybabies about every bad thing that 1.00
00:10:35.480 happens to you and start being thankful that you have the opportunity to grow get stronger get more 1.00
00:10:43.000 focused get more skilled and kick more ass because of every hardship you face 0.99
