00:03:39.700 the internet but what do you think bringing value means it means making someone's life better it means 0.97
00:03:46.320 improving their situation it means taking somebody and making them better after an interaction with
00:03:54.420 you than they were before the interaction with you that means your product has to do that that means
00:04:01.060 your people have to do that that means you have to do that but so many of you are caught up in this 0.99
00:04:06.920 bullshit entrepreneur world that's out there in fucking internet land you know you talk all this 1.00

00:05:03.200 motherfuckers out there that actually built something dude pay attention to who you fucking 1.00
00:05:08.200 follow jesus christ anyway i told somebody the other day that one of the reasons that i really loved 0.99
00:05:14.580 working for you was it took 17 years of working and probably what seven or eight years of million
00:05:22.320 dollar results before you published your first motivational post dude that's 17 years yeah but 0.96
00:05:28.380 but vaughn what makes me have the right to talk that shit before then that's what i don't like right 1.00
00:05:37.060 that's what i don't like i don't like these young fucking punk kids talking all this bullshit 1.00

00:06:22.720 trick the fucking 17 year old kids out there because you went and took a picture with your fucking 1.00
00:06:27.920 with that one dude that you know uh his roles or his lambo and you took some pictures for ig and 1.00
00:06:35.460 posted them you might be able to fool those kids but dude you're not fooling somebody who's really 0.96
00:06:39.800 done it you know and i don't think it's very hard to tell who is the real fucking deal and who isn't 0.94
00:06:45.960 and you know dude i'm just tired of it man like i'm sick of it admit it honestly and you know i go 0.96
00:06:52.160 through this like once or twice a year but it honestly makes me want to quit fucking posting anything 0.92
00:06:56.600 like it makes me want to quit doing the podcast quit doing the fucking post instagram posts quit doing all 0.99
00:07:03.220 the shit i'm doing because like i feel like i'm talking to people that don't fucking get it you 0.99
00:07:10.400 know they they they're so in love with the idea of success and they're so in love with the idea of 0.99
00:07:16.420 having the money but they have no fucking idea what it's going to take to fucking get that money and 0.93
00:07:22.060 what it's going to take to get that success and dude they love the posts you know you know what's 0.99
00:07:26.460 fucked up dude i post a picture of that fucking coffin yesterday memorial day you saw it right 0.99
00:07:31.980 yeah with the flag on it very powerful right okay and that fucking post gets less likes than my 1.00
00:07:37.380 fucking lamborghini posts right that's fucking bullshit that bothers me to my fucking soul you 1.00
00:07:43.740 know what i'm saying and it's reflective of people's attitude like they they don't understand sacrifice 1.00
00:07:50.000 they don't understand work they don't understand the the price that has to be paid okay to get
00:07:58.160 success they just want success and dude that the instant gratification attitude for all of you guys
00:08:07.160 listening is what's always going to keep you broke it's what's always going to keep you being the fake
00:08:13.200 baller it's going to be the guy who has you know zero dollars in his bank account but he's wearing 0.99
00:08:18.400 fucking four hundred dollar yeezys or whatever the fuck they they're called it's not only that they 0.99
00:08:22.720 don't understand sacrifice is that they don't value it and they want they want that they don't 1.00
00:08:27.400 they want the satisfaction without valuing the sacrifice yeah dude i had a fucking kid tell me like 1.00
00:08:32.400 hey bro it's cool that you're successful but it took you fucking 12 years well no shit motherfucker 1.00
00:08:39.180 that's what it fucking takes right you know like their their minds are so fucking warped now 1.00
00:08:44.760 you know i mean dude it really it i really shouldn't even be bitching because it sets me up 0.98
00:08:49.220 to continue to dominate the marketplace and everything that i do because i understand what
00:08:53.980 it fucking takes but when my mission is to legitimately help people understand money understand 0.88
00:09:02.060 success and understand how those things come about it's very frustrating to like see like if the 0.99
00:09:08.860 internet is so so fucking full of bullshit like dude like you know all these dudes and i mean dude it's 0.97
00:09:16.920 no secret everybody knows we're putting together like an academy of courses and things like that 0.99
00:09:21.240 that we're gonna have you know that are gonna be basically me teaching people exactly how to do
00:09:25.040 things step by step we've talked about it before out of all the people out there doing that there's 0.97
00:09:32.280 like one other dude that i could think of that is a legitimate motherfucker doing it you know what i 0.96
00:09:36.800 mean right which is grant you know and people make fun of grant because he's like you know you're 0.97
00:09:43.500 you're he's you know how he talks and he's got that swagger about him and they they're like yeah 0.97
00:09:48.300 he's he's like a fucking salesman it's like yeah but he's also like the best salesman on fucking earth 0.94
00:09:53.640 he's done it and second of all he's built a 500 million dollar real estate portfolio uh pretty sure 1.00
00:10:00.440 the motherfucker knows a couple things about being in business plus how he talks how he acts that's just 0.95
00:10:05.420 who he is i love him dude i do too he's he comes across so genuine dude he's a genuine dude he is 0.99
00:10:10.780 yeah you know like i mean a lot of people do you know what people don't you know people don't
00:10:14.240 understand about grant is that like and they and i'm gonna tell this story because i think it's i
00:10:21.100 think it makes a good point here you know he asked me to come down and speak at 10x which i was happy
00:10:25.800 to do and normally i get paid and i take i charge a lot to get fucking speak uh usually i get 50 grand 0.93
00:10:31.300 to speak and i asked uh he asked me to come do it for free and i'm like well absolutely dude because i like
00:10:38.200 them absolutely i'll come do it for free no problem you know he's my boy uh it was an awesome
00:10:45.160 event dude the guy goes out and buys me a 30 000 watch and gives it to me as a thank you you know 0.52
00:10:51.820 what i mean after i did the fucking event yeah and like that's just the kind of dude he is like 0.90
00:10:55.940 he's he's he's a genuine fucking cool ass dude you know what i mean and uh people don't really 0.96
00:11:03.880 dude i'm just so sick of the fakers to get to the bottom line like but while you're on the topic i 0.96
00:11:11.320 want to i want to bring up something it's not just the people who have an issue with they don't want
00:11:15.140 to sacrifice they would just want the satisfaction but something you've you've said before too is this
00:11:21.300 constant voracious appetite for the quote-unquote secret and i was reading an article that i think you
00:11:27.840 would have loved i was reading an article about nick saban yeah and uh of course i don't know how
00:11:32.500 anybody would not know who nick saban is but he's got five national championships now in college
00:11:36.660 basketball and uh is it four or is it football football sorry sorry thank you football and um
00:11:43.960 money money money money and they were interviewing him and the uh the gq this was for like gq or
00:11:50.220 something or esquire and they were interviewing him and they said you know like so what's the secret
00:11:54.000 to nick saban and the writer said and he included this in the article that he got this like death
00:11:59.520 stare from saban and saban's answer was the secret to nick saban is that there's no secret
00:12:04.680 like it's hard work it's wanting it more than everybody else and and the guy came back and said
00:12:10.620 well so what i understand is that you keep your whole process or of your success really like
00:12:16.400 mysterious he goes no that's a total lie he said i i'm very straightforward i let everybody know what
00:12:21.860 we do because i know they're not going to do it dude tyler how many times have i said that in our 0.98
00:12:26.080 fucking meetings over the years times i said dude i'll give my fucking because dude i get asked all 0.99
00:12:30.180 the time they're like dude you give out all this information on your podcast are you worried about 0.99
00:12:33.680 your competitors stealing it no because i know they're not going to fucking do the work right it's 0.98
00:12:39.080 too hard right he says nick saban says it's not just what you do it's how you do it so you can tell 0.96
00:12:43.960 people what to do but they're not necessarily going to do it the way they do look man our society 0.97
00:12:47.880 is really good our society is weak as fuck yeah that's just the bottom line yeah everybody's got an 0.98
00:12:52.780 excuse everybody has a you know a justification for their lack of results everybody has a whiny 0.99
00:13:00.400 little story that they tell all their friends and their family about why this guy over here has all 0.99
00:13:06.500 the shit they want and why they don't have it everybody has it that's all we see it's all we hear 0.99
00:13:12.500 it's all the things that we we see on tv and the stories we see on people's whiny little facebook 1.00
00:13:17.920 posts you know but if you're the guy who's actually doing it and you're the guy who's actually making
00:13:23.600 shit happen and you're the guy who is actually doing the work you know people look at you and 0.50
00:13:29.160 they point the finger and they say well he's got this this going for him or that going for him or this 0.93
00:13:33.740 and this and this so that they could justify themselves and and dude we just live in a weak 0.98
00:13:38.400 sad pussified fucking state of of society right now right and um you know i don't think that 0.98
00:13:46.700 i don't see it changing i just don't you know what i mean i think we're gonna have to 0.99
00:13:52.600 i mean maybe it's always been this way right like me and gary vaynerchuk got in a fucking argument one 0.87
00:14:00.040 time here at headquarters and he was here about he he said you know every generation's like this it
00:14:06.620 just seems like it's not like this and i said i i said i don't know you know like i don't we and
00:14:10.940 we got a little disagreement about it and uh so the greatest the greatest generation has had an
00:14:16.540 entitlement complex dude you know i mean is that what he's saying no i i don't no he just said that 0.99
00:14:22.980 every generation has its fucking losers and well certainly when you focus on the losers then 0.95
00:14:27.340 that's what you choose to see but um but i feel like there is a i feel like with today 0.99
00:14:36.980 the way that the internet promotes instant gratification and being a baller and being
00:14:42.840 successful and all this i feel like it paints a false picture of what it really takes way more so
00:14:48.780 than what was the picture painting when i was in you know 17 18 years old like when i was 17 18 years
00:14:55.280 old i knew that if i was going to be successful it was going to take a fucking long time right i knew 0.92
00:15:00.560 that i was going to have to work my ass off i i did not expect to be uh you know rolling around in 0.64
00:15:07.960 exotic cars at 22 years old did i want those things yeah but did i think it was like legitimate reality 0.99
00:15:13.920 no but today because we have all these fuck faces on the internet telling people that that's the way it 0.98
00:15:21.020 is and first of all it makes people think it's reality second of all when they're nowhere near 0.99
00:15:26.940 that and they've been working their balls off for two years they think they're doing something wrong
00:15:31.820 and when in reality they could be on the right track it could just take five six seven eight nine years 0.96
00:15:36.820 for them to fucking get where they want to go and because people are painting this false picture 0.89
00:15:41.740 it's causing people who would otherwise be successful to quit prematurely which is damaging 0.97
00:15:49.180 you know what i mean that that's not morally okay and like dude i personally don't think it's morally
00:15:56.400 okay for someone who hasn't built a real company or become you know successful in real life to sell a 0.53
00:16:06.760 fucking program about how to be successful or to write a book about how to be successful or to be 0.97
00:16:13.100 you know putting that out there like there's some kind of fucking life coach it's not right 0.99
00:16:18.760 i mean am i missing something no you're absolutely right and a huge part of just the whole 0.68
00:16:25.420 unraveling of our culture is the way that people you know view earning money you know and the whole
00:16:32.380 concept of money which i know is something that you wanted to talk about in this yeah in this episode
00:16:37.740 obviously well i think you just had it you said it right there earning earning money you know
00:16:42.960 everybody's like oh i want to make bank i want to make money i want to i want to make all this money 0.81
00:16:47.080 you don't fucking make money you earn money you trade money for value you trade money for a solution 0.95
00:16:52.660 you trade money for a service you trade money for making other people's lives better and that's a 0.99
00:16:59.220 concept that's getting lost because of all the shit that we've talked about for the last 20 minutes 0.88
00:17:03.000 right or whatever it's been so playing devil's advocate is that just splitting hairs if somebody 0.93
00:17:08.480 says well i want to make money should we really correct them i do every time tell me why because i
00:17:14.980 truly feel like there's an issue with understanding that earning money is an actual trade i don't think
00:17:25.120 that people understand that i think they lose that i think that you you when i look at money
00:17:30.620 every fucking dollar i i make i look at like a trade for something i've given to somebody else 0.98
00:17:37.620 how have i improved their their situation you know when i walk out in the warehouse and i see 0.99
00:17:43.020 100 fucking pallets ready to go every day i don't i don't look at those pallets and say oh yeah we 0.93
00:17:49.120 made so much money i literally look at those pallets and you could ask the guys that work out in the 0.99
00:17:54.640 warehouse and say look at this look how many people were helping improve their lives look how many people
00:18:01.880 were making their lives better look how many people are finding a solution in our products
00:18:06.160 and i mean that and that's how i see it and because i see it that way you know earning money to me is
00:18:15.400 very simple but because it's painted so differently in society you know that it's just supposed to come
00:18:24.200 out of the sky or you know you're going to buy this program and be a millionaire and you know all these
00:18:29.900 quick fix things people lose the correlation between earning and making right you know what i mean and
00:18:39.180 it's the scammers that make money yeah and dude i mean if you really i don't know like it's just such
00:18:49.320 a it's such a frustrating thing for me because i feel like it's it's very obvious but i feel like 0.91
00:18:56.060 you're fighting an uphill battle because there's a million more fucking scammers out there doing what
00:19:00.660 we talked about as there are people teaching real business right like how to really build a business 0.99
00:19:05.920 so we jumped right into uh how you see our relationship to money whether we earn it or whether
00:19:14.080 we make it but let me back up just for a second because i think it's important that we you know some
00:19:18.960 people think that money's the greatest thing on the world and it's the key to happiness and then on the
00:19:23.180 other extreme you have people that almost think it's dirty like you know they misquote the bible
00:19:28.000 and they say it's the root of all evil which is not what the bible says it says love of money like
00:19:33.120 if you love money more than people right then that's that's evil obviously what do you think
00:19:38.400 about money what is its essential nature sorry that was a pretty philosophical question but no i'm
00:19:45.500 going to answer you know money's a necessity it's something you need and people i i'm going to talk
00:19:53.120 about both extremes okay people who say money is bad money is evil money is this i can promise you 0.97
00:19:59.640 they were brought up in a household that didn't have any fucking money and that's their justification 0.92
00:20:04.820 for for being where they are in life instead of saying hey i didn't do the work or hey i didn't 0.98
00:20:09.760 take advantage of this opportunity or hey i made poor decisions or hey i should have done this and
00:20:14.660 this and this and accepting the responsibility they choose to send a belief out into the world
00:20:20.620 that money is a bad thing and then they say well i i really love the life i have you know and i don't 0.98
00:20:27.700 need money i don't need this i don't need that and they tell their kids that for 20 fucking years and 0.99
00:20:33.100 what do their kids grow up believing that money's bad and that the only way to get money is to fucking 0.99
00:20:38.820 screw people over and to take advantage of them and to do things that are immoral and if you 0.98
00:20:44.640 have money that means you did all these immoral things and you're a bad person and if you teach 0.51
00:20:49.500 somebody that for 20 years what are they going to believe that right and what are they not ever
00:20:55.560 going to have money right because you would you would naturally avoid something you think you thought
00:21:00.420 was bad right right so i you know you have you have and that and that and we've talked about this
00:21:06.700 before on previous podcasts but that comes from a a 70 year i mean let's talk about this just real quick
00:21:14.860 you know back you know in the 1800s the only way to earn money was provide a legitimate product a
00:21:23.860 legitimate service uh you know make somebody's life better make a better product provide a solution 0.99
00:21:30.120 all things that are good you know they help people you you help this dude by selling you made his ass 0.90
00:21:40.460 more comfortable by selling him a nicer saddle that cost more money you know what i'm saying you were 0.81
00:21:45.380 you made it easier for him to hunt because you sold him a rifle that cost more that actually shot
00:21:50.180 straighter you made it easier for him to mend his fences because you made a barbed wire that didn't break
00:21:56.380 i mean all of these things are legitimate improvements and people are happy to pay for them
00:22:01.580 so you didn't have situations where scamming went on like it like you did the net you know from the
00:22:08.420 the dawn of big media to the end of big media which is now which was the 1930s the late 30s all the way up
00:22:17.500 until what's going on right now you had a situation where you had radio print television all which took a lot
00:22:25.140 of resources to advertise on and you you had a situation where there was no accountability because
00:22:32.620 people had no voice so companies could could legitimately if they could come up with the capital
00:22:36.920 advertise a product that didn't really do what what people what what it's supposed to do
00:22:42.320 people buy the product and it would take years and years and years for the word of mouth to spread
00:22:47.700 that this product's not as good as what they say it is and that all changed with that with the
00:22:53.140 dimension of the internet and social media and uh you know accountability with people and giving
00:22:59.960 people a voice whereas 20 years ago if i had a bad experience with a company uh and i and you let's
00:23:06.540 say you lived in kansas and i lived in missouri you know i might not see you for five years and i might
00:23:12.020 see you at a high school reunion or something and and the conversation wouldn't even probably come up but it
00:23:18.020 would only come up by chance let's say you were wearing a shirt of that product and i'd say oh dude 0.96
00:23:22.620 i tried that shit sucked right like there's no chance now you have a situation where people can 0.94
00:23:28.360 actively voice their reviews in many different ways amazon reviews andrew's list uh you know 0.99
00:23:36.220 fucking yelp facebook instagram there's instant feedback so if i get a bad product in the mail today 0.88
00:23:44.000 i could post about it today you'll know about it today and guess what that product will never get 0.99
00:23:48.460 off the ground because the word of mouth is instantly spread which protects people from
00:23:54.260 people getting scammed now are there still scams out there absolutely but but their shelf life is a lot
00:24:00.400 shorter fuck yeah you can't do it for 20 years now like you used to be able to do with big media
00:24:04.840 and so with big media it was a self-fulfilling deal right like they could sell these scam products make a 0.99
00:24:11.620 shitload of money buy a shitload more media and sell a shitload more product and it fed the scam
00:24:18.220 mentality and and the and the scam you know machine does that make sense absolutely yeah so you could 0.98
00:24:24.680 so you could own the fucking media with a product that didn't do its job and our parents grew up in 0.92
00:24:29.880 that age which is why our parents say things like well the only way to get money is to scam people out 0.98
00:24:35.300 of it blah blah blah blah blah right right and then you grow you have a whole generation of people who 0.96
00:24:40.220 think money is fucking bad and blah blah blah blah blah and the only way to get it is to be a bad 0.89
00:24:43.700 person when in reality the only way to make money is to do the right thing the only way to make money 0.97
00:24:51.680 right now sustainably is to provide a value service product that improves people's lives and if you want
00:24:59.340 to make a lot of fucking money you've got to make a product that improves people's lives to the point
00:25:04.500 where they cannot help but use the tools of the internet social media and reviews to write raving 0.99
00:25:11.360 reviews and recommendations for you so now you've taken a situation where it used to be oh i could 0.86
00:25:18.400 fucking lie to people and you've made it where the better i treat people the more value i provide 0.90
00:25:24.680 the more money i make so what's morally wrong about that what's morally wrong about solving people's 1.00
00:25:31.380 problems and trading that solution for money what's wrong with with making people happy and trading
00:25:37.880 that salute that happiness for money there's nothing wrong with it and so now we live in an age
00:25:44.380 where the more money you make it's almost reflective of how morally correct of a business person you are
00:25:53.760 it's changing the tables it's changing it's turning the whole tide and it's funny because you still see
00:26:00.360 companies out there trying to operate in the i'm gonna scam people mentality but using the new tools
00:26:07.060 and all it does is speed their death right you know what i mean right and dude we've witnessed this in
00:26:12.920 our industry a couple times in the last couple years with some of the bigger brands who were 0.96
00:26:16.480 at the top of the game got caught cheating people and it fucking ruined them instantly and i mean 0.94
00:26:23.140 overnight like in a day and that's what happens now so now you know to to be sustainable you've got
00:26:31.800 to be legitimate you've got to be the real deal and people people don't understand yet that the amount
00:26:40.600 of money you make is extremely reflective of the amount of value you provide people and the amount of
00:26:46.060 good that you do and if you could grasp that now before everybody else starts understanding it
00:26:51.380 you could be ahead of the curve and something i'm definitely distilling from what you're saying is
00:26:56.700 that how you handle money can be good or bad how you uh use it how you earn it how you make it how
00:27:05.660 whatever terms we're going to use and i i let's just say to people throughout this this podcast just
00:27:11.680 by virtue of habit i'm sure we're going to use the terms earn and make interchangeably but
00:27:16.840 the point is is that it sounds like you're saying money itself is neutral it's it it's it's like a gun
00:27:24.620 a gun can be a gun can be a instrument to defend freedom and it could be a murder weapon it's how you
00:27:30.240 use it or it could be nothing or it could be nothing yeah yeah i mean look man everybody's got their
00:27:38.520 beliefs on money everybody's got their own little opinions on money blah blah blah blah blah the
00:27:43.340 people who are most opinionated don't have any fucking money it's just the way it is right and 0.99
00:27:49.180 i can tell you right now if you don't have any fucking money right now you're not making money 0.98
00:27:52.760 right now it's because you're not providing value to people around you you're showing up you're 0.99
00:27:57.120 clocking in you're clocking out you're doing the minimum you're going home at fucking 4 30 you're 1.00
00:28:02.180 probably drinking a beer on the fucking couch and watching walking dead and you don't give a fuck 0.99
00:28:06.000 about the company you work for or the customers that you that you deal with that's truth if you're 1.00
00:28:12.700 not making enough money that's you period and you can argue that all day long but we live in a society
00:28:18.980 right now where the more value you provide the better job you do the more the more good solutions
00:28:24.760 you provide other people the more money you're going to make and if you're not in an you know i can 0.97
00:28:29.140 hear it already well my company doesn't recognize that well whose fucking fault is that that you're still 0.99
00:28:34.480 there it's not my fault maybe you should change fucking companies if you don't work in a company 0.99
00:28:39.880 that values people who solve fucking problems for customers and make them happy and makes the company 0.99
00:28:45.380 more money and then reward you by paying you more money for your job yeah you're in the wrong company 0.99
00:28:51.680 bro you should probably look at making a fucking switch somewhere don't blame me for telling the truth 0.98
00:28:57.180 and say it's not accurate you're the one making the bad decision or if they say that too i mean 0.98
00:29:01.960 something that you always tell people is you're not just gonna hand people money so that that could
00:29:06.520 also that is another thing like dude you see a lot of people who think that they're like i do i do
00:29:11.180 everything blah blah blah and i go with that did you ask for a raise no right well it's not the company's 0.93
00:29:18.060 obligation to come give you money it's your obligation to be so fucking good at what you do 0.92
00:29:25.660 that if you go to your boss and you say hey i i need a raise i want to make more money i did this 0.96
00:29:33.040 this and this concrete shit that you could show not i'm gonna do this this this if i get the raise 0.97
00:29:39.680 which is what a lot of people say which doesn't fucking work in real life okay i did this this and 0.95
00:29:47.140 i think i'm worth this and if i don't get this i'm i'm not gonna be able to work here now if you 0.87
00:29:54.940 could confidently go say that to your boss and you have really brought that value guess what's gonna
00:29:59.860 happen you're gonna get fucking paid and if you don't get paid there you're gonna get paid somewhere 0.89
00:30:03.700 else but it's not the the ceo or the manager or the upper management's responsibility to come to you 0.99
00:30:10.200 and say oh hey tony you're doing such a great job here's some fucking money no be a fucking man and 0.99
00:30:17.240 learn how to come to somebody and have a conversation about money that's another thing is that a lot of 0.99
00:30:22.380 people think there's some kind of awkward you know taboo thing about talking about money you know we're
00:30:30.620 taught as and i know where it comes from i mean they tell you that in school they tell you that growing 0.96
00:30:34.880 up you know talking about money is rude uh no it's not talking about money is a fact of fucking life 0.97
00:30:41.820 so you should never feel embarrassed or ashamed or um scared to have a conversation with someone about
00:30:49.360 your career and the money you make because if you don't have those conversations you're not going to
00:30:54.300 make any more money i have to re-emphasize a point you make though because the only way you're going to
00:30:59.360 have confidence to approach your boss like that is if you actually have producers results exactly 0.96
00:31:04.820 yeah exactly you're not going to snowball your boss and thinking that you did all kinds of shit
00:31:08.920 when you didn't really do it right which is what people try to do that too so you know that a lot
00:31:14.260 of people that listen to us i would say the majority we'll give give them some credit um they are
00:31:19.420 motivated they're motivated to earn money but you and i have talked about i don't remember if we talked
00:31:24.080 about this on the podcast or just in a one-on-one discussion but you talked about how you yourself went
00:31:28.820 through kind of a transformation or an evolution to where when you first started out you were
00:31:34.580 yeah you wanted to earn money period right but then as you got older and got more experienced
00:31:40.060 it almost like well dude i'm speaking from experience yeah yeah yeah like you you almost
00:31:46.260 transcended that specifically money to where you there was something higher driving you and that
00:31:50.440 became more sustainable you want to talk a little bit about that yeah when i was young i was the same 0.98
00:31:54.400 as all these other kids i wanted to fucking have all the shit i wanted the cars i wanted the houses 0.98
00:31:59.100 i wanted to be awesome i wanted all the girls to like me i wanted to make all kinds of money 0.99
00:32:03.900 and you know i i all i cared about was bringing in money and making money and i didn't understand
00:32:13.180 earning money yet i didn't understand what that meant so my first 10 years in business people are
00:32:18.440 like well you didn't make much money for 10 years well this is why this is what i'm telling you i focused
00:32:23.120 on making money and my first three years i made zero dollars my next seven years i made 695 a month
00:32:30.220 um and i never made any money and i got to a point in business where uh you know i started i sort of
00:32:38.080 accepted the fact that i might not make a lot of money but i but i liked what i was doing um
00:32:45.100 i specifically liked like in my business we're in the nutritional supplement business i loved when
00:32:52.220 people would walk out of the store and then come back in six months later a different person you
00:32:57.180 know down 100 pounds or up 30 pounds and they would come in and they would be so excited and so grateful
00:33:05.080 and so appreciative and they were different people and i loved that about our business i thought it was
00:33:12.480 awesome and so i got to a point where i wasn't really you know financially being successful
00:33:19.440 and i say you know what i i'm not making a lot of money here but i love this about my job and i just
00:33:29.100 said well you know what i'm just going to try to do that like i'm going to try to make these people
00:33:33.700 happy i'm going to try to get them results uh you know i don't really care if i make money anymore i just
00:33:38.800 care about how many people i can impact coming in you know the doors and uh that year we double
00:33:46.980 business uh the next year we double business again and we double business for five years straight in
00:33:52.400 the one of the worst economies ever in the history of the united states and you know why we double 0.98
00:33:57.540 business because i cared about our fucking customers i cared about the results they were seeing i made sure 0.98
00:34:02.960 that i was giving them all the value i could i made sure i was giving them all the education i could 0.99
00:34:07.560 i made sure our team understood that our job is to give people results and when we focused on those
00:34:13.740 things the money always came as a byproduct and that's what people don't understand is that money
00:34:17.900 is a byproduct of of solution you know what i mean it's a byproduct of quality it's a byproduct of
00:34:24.300 making people happy it's a byproduct of great service it's a byproduct of making people your friend
00:34:30.080 and when you are constantly thinking about how much you can get you know you can't focus on how
00:34:37.480 much of a great job you're doing for your customers and you know when when i when i flip that switch
00:34:44.540 and for me i'll be the first guy to admit it like it was it was out of like frustration where i'm just
00:34:50.300 like fuck it i'm not going to make any money i'm just going to try to do this and when i started doing 0.90
00:34:55.040 that i figured it out and then uh you know that's kind of when it all started kind of clicking for 0.98
00:35:01.920 me in my brain and now you know i don't think you'll find a person or a company uh or a group
00:35:09.020 of people on earth and that cares more about other people and their results and the quality of our
00:35:15.760 products and following through make sure people are happy than the people that work for our companies
00:35:19.880 because everybody understands that and you know what it's easy to get people motivated for a purpose
00:35:26.320 it's a lot easier to get people motivated for a purpose than it is for a paycheck and people don't
00:35:33.400 really understand that which you know we just i just had an article come out on mashable today 0.99
00:35:37.120 about millennials this is off the subject but all these motherfuckers bitch about millennials and say 1.00
00:35:42.400 millennials are worthless and they're pieces of shit and they're this they're that this i don't know 1.00
00:35:46.680 we're we're doing pretty good and our whole company is made up of fucking millennials and you 1.00
00:35:50.780 know why we do so good because our millennials are driven by purpose and we have a fucking purpose here 0.99
00:35:55.280 and our purpose is to get motherfuckers results make their lives better make people happy and when you 1.00
00:36:00.020 can do that the money is going to be there you know so so that's the approach to earning money that's 0.94
00:36:08.040 customer centric that you've repeated again and again but i do know i do know that there also is an
00:36:14.160 approach to earning money that um that is focused on yourself meaning there's there's something
00:36:22.780 that you've told me again and again that there's something about yourself that is i mean dude yeah
00:36:31.020 it's it's what i just said in a different way i mean the the wealthiest most successful people
00:36:36.560 that i know and that i've met and that i'm around they don't talk about money they don't focus on
00:36:42.120 money they don't think about how much money they're going to make this week you know they focus on
00:36:47.060 being amazing at what they do they focus on being the best at what they do they focus on providing the
00:36:52.820 best product the best service the best solution making people the happiest and they don't talk
00:36:59.160 about the money they're going to make like when you sit down and talk about somebody who's truly
00:37:02.940 successful about business you don't talk about oh man hey joe how much money are you going to make
00:37:10.660 this year that's not the conversation that happens and i think because people most people don't know
00:37:16.080 that many truly successful people they don't really understand this part of it like they think like when
00:37:20.620 i sit down with like let's say somebody who i'm friends with who's successful uh that we sit down
00:37:26.420 and talk about money that's not what we talk about we talk about dude how's business it's really cool man
00:37:33.100 we've got this new program uh you know my transformation starts today we've got all these people who are
00:37:38.660 getting results we've got all these people who are losing weight we've got all these people are
00:37:42.020 putting on muscle those are the those are the things that we talk about you know what i mean
00:37:47.500 you know oh dude i got this awesome product that does this this and this it uh it provides you know
00:37:54.040 uh this service or does this like dude the money is never even brought up it's not even brought up
00:38:00.460 it's what it's impact it's also implied too yeah when you're talking about yeah because we all
00:38:06.420 understand we all understand this concept right like we know that if we provide the value the
00:38:10.680 money is going to be there so but like dude if you sit down with an average dude and you talk about
00:38:16.500 and they have they say this is what they always say dude i've got this fucking great idea it's going 0.82
00:38:21.180 to make so much money if i dude if somebody says that to me i already know where their brain is
00:38:26.580 they're not in it for the right reasons and the right reasons are what make you money
00:38:30.500 you see what i'm saying yeah i do so you have to be very aware of the benefit you're providing
00:38:40.400 because the benefit you're providing is what ultimately is going to make you the money
00:38:44.660 and you know the average thought process is just not that way it's just not
00:38:53.720 so let me shift from making money or earning money to the effects that that has on people
00:39:03.740 and i don't know if you remember this when we when we flew to utah for the uh there was some sean
00:39:08.620 whalen um event and i got talking to chris your business partner and i admitted to him that there
00:39:15.880 was a part of me that was scared to make a lot of money because i thought it was going to change me
00:39:19.640 and he said i i won't forget this he said do you think you're a good person now and i said yeah
00:39:26.080 i tried to be i tried to build up my character and everything he said then money's not going to
00:39:30.660 change that right so what do you would tell me it just amplifies what's already there you know if
00:39:36.600 you're if you're a charitable person and you're giving away 20 bucks to somebody who's homeless
00:39:43.400 when you have 200 million dollars in your bank account you're not going to be giving away 20 bucks
00:39:47.540 you're giving away you know 2 million bucks you see what i'm saying it's also why the people that
00:39:52.540 you know are irresponsible with money when they don't really have that much and then they're
00:39:57.280 given money they lose it real quick because they're spending habits that's a great point
00:40:00.300 yeah that's a great point right i mean dude it i've never seen money change anybody i think that's
00:40:05.900 another justification slash myth right of people who don't have any money talking about money and if
00:40:12.200 you don't have any money you have no business talking about money right because you don't have any
00:40:16.540 experience so uh there's a phrase you use and i forget what it is money is a it's a it's not a
00:40:23.320 it's not a telephone it's a money is a megaphone you say money is a megaphone yeah to your life
00:40:31.180 yeah like it's just you said it earlier it amplifies you yeah so okay i i think i remember i remember that
00:40:37.220 show that they had back on years ago on you know like each true hollywood story or whatever it was
00:40:42.420 called where it would give the the backstory of all these hollywood stars who had you know basically
00:40:47.100 gone off the deep end and i remember one guy said that a lot of people are down on hollywood stars
00:40:52.100 because they think they're worse people than everybody else he said they're not they're some
00:40:56.740 of them are good people and when they get money it gives them the freedom to be even better people
00:41:01.100 like to treat people better but he said some of them are bad people just like the other people but
00:41:05.240 now that they have money they have the means to destroy themselves well dude look
00:41:09.200 a lot of people think that people with money are automatically obligated to be a role model
00:41:15.820 you're not obligate like dude i get people telling me something you're not you're not a very good role 0.95
00:41:21.460 model with all the cursing you do i'm not trying to be a fucking role model i'm a spreader i'm a 0.99
00:41:27.720 fucking distributor of reality i'm not a role model dude i do a lot of shit that isn't fucking role 0.99
00:41:34.200 model worthy i'm not a fucking role model i'm a i'm a guy who's gonna tell you the truth i'm a guy 1.00
00:41:40.200 who's gonna tell you what the fuck it's about you know if you want to make fucking money you want to 0.97
00:41:46.080 earn money you want to become successful i'm gonna fucking tell you how but i'm not saying you should 0.99
00:41:50.900 live like me i'm not saying you should even be like me at all i'm not a fucking role model you know 0.98
00:41:56.100 like who's that charles barkley yeah you know like great ad these athletes they don't have an 0.90
00:42:01.520 obligation to be role models they don't people people now you know your average soccer mom will 1.00
00:42:07.000 tell you they do because they make a lot of money and they're in the public eye i disagree these 0.79
00:42:12.160 people are humans they want to live their life the way they want to fucking live it and just because 0.99
00:42:16.580 they have the eyeballs on them doesn't mean they have to be a role model that's your fucking pressure 1.00
00:42:20.560 you should be the fucking role model you know i'm sick of being fucking dad to your motherfucking kids 1.00
00:42:26.280 you know what i'm saying be the fucking dad yourself parents are definitely first line that's 1.00
00:42:31.380 what i'm saying yep your kids are looking at me to be a fucking role model you got the wrong fucking 1.00
00:42:35.720 dude man you know i mean i do a lot of good shit but dude i'm a fucking idiot about a lot of things 1.00
00:42:41.360 too like you don't want to get me or you don't want to you don't want to be around me when i had a 0.99
00:42:44.920 couple fucking whiskeys you know no it's kind of fun well i'm just saying but i'm not it's not role 0.99
00:42:50.040 model behavior you know like it's just dude i just get the society's expectations are so fucking 0.99
00:42:57.840 warped most people live in this in this bubble of like we're spectators and these people are are
00:43:07.020 they're our entertainment and they're obligated to a entertain us and b also be a good person
00:43:12.880 no they're not they're not now i think it's a good idea to be a good person but those people 0.99
00:43:19.660 are under no fucking obligation to set a standard that you should be setting for your own fucking 1.00
00:43:23.180 kids you know oh you're not a role model andy no shit motherfucker i'm not trying to be 1.00
00:43:29.340 so it goes without saying that making or earning a lot of money gives you the opportunity to buy 0.99
00:43:37.500 lots of things yeah why don't why don't you talk about that like i love things yeah so what's
00:43:42.540 i love what's the best way to relate to all the material things that you can buy when you have money
00:43:47.880 what tell me tell me like what have you learned what's what might surprise anybody who says that 0.99
00:43:52.980 they don't like material things is a fucking liar they are they're fucking lying yeah everybody has 0.99
00:43:59.160 material goals unless they've decided that they can't afford them or never will be able to afford 1.00
00:44:03.300 them and then and then in that case they they they go back in their shell and they say oh i didn't 0.99
00:44:07.840 want it anyway i didn't really want that you know what i mean it's a fucking bullshit thing like 1.00
00:44:12.080 material shit's awesome like i love driving fucking to work in my cars i love fucking wearing 1.00
00:44:18.540 nice watches i love all that shit like gary v always poo-poos on material shit dude what the 1.00
00:44:25.080 fuck ever man you got five hundred thousand dollar floor seats to the fucking nicks you know don't talk 1.00
00:44:31.080 to me about material shit you know like you live in a fucking 10 million dollar fucking flat in new 1.00
00:44:37.700 york city the fuck out of here you know what i mean no i i hear you i well like dude i get what 0.99
00:44:43.840 he's saying he's saying the same shit i said for the first 20 minutes of the podcast we're both tired 1.00
00:44:49.340 of that but anybody who shits on material items is like you know their fucking stance is full of shit 1.00
00:44:55.180 you know what i mean oh you know the dude likes big watches and nice cars so what that's what i 1.00
00:45:02.680 fucking like you know what i mean i grew up watching rap videos i want to fucking drive 0.98
00:45:07.500 around pretend i'm a rapper when i'm not fucking working what's wrong with that nothing and i can 1.00
00:45:11.760 afford it so what the fuck difference does it make you know anybody who sits there and shits on your 0.99
00:45:16.800 material goals doesn't have anything doesn't have the means to afford those material goals because i'm 0.98
00:45:22.660 gonna tell you right now dude it's fucking awesome you know it's cool as fuck and it inspires other 0.60
00:45:28.240 people dude every time i pull up to a gas station get fucking gas in my lamborghini you know how many 0.98
00:45:32.840 little kids come up and take pictures or want to sit in it or want to talk to me about it a lot 0.99
00:45:37.380 and all those little kids are going to remember that shit just like i did when i was eight years 0.98
00:45:41.300 old and they're going to think that maybe they won't become successful but at least it'll give 0.99
00:45:45.120 them some sort of ambition to go out and get their own little thing of success and maybe it's not cars
00:45:50.300 for you or watches maybe it's property maybe it's an amazing ranch with your family maybe it's
00:45:56.520 amazing vacations maybe it's experiences but the point of it is is that money provides a better
00:46:01.860 quality of life and nobody can fucking argue that well the thing that people don't realize when they 0.59
00:46:05.940 don't have money is that money is relative like a lot of them cannot understand that so oh dude 0.87
00:46:11.440 their 200 nixon watch you know it took the same amount of their bank account that you know percentage
00:46:16.840 wise that your 50 000 watch right out so right well dude and the other the other thing is too is 0.99
00:46:23.580 it like and this is something else people assume that because you drive a 600 000 fucking car 0.93
00:46:28.820 that you've spent all your money on it like dude let me tell you something people most of the people
00:46:33.540 who are driving 600 000 cars and have like a garage full of them uh it's relative it within their
00:46:40.700 budget right you know what i'm saying that's a great point yeah car loans right exactly like like it's
00:46:47.200 just weird how people fucking judge other people from the outside but the end of the day like 0.81
00:46:51.840 you know the point here is this nothing bad comes from living a life and then enjoying 0.91
00:46:59.560 material things in fact i from my experience because a lot of people are like well don't people 0.98
00:47:05.740 just hate you for driving those fucking cars i i don't know maybe if they do it's not to my face 0.97
00:47:10.600 so what difference does it fucking make all i know is that every time i pull up somewhere a bunch of 1.00
00:47:15.240 people come up and they're like fuck that's awesome dude what do you do and then i tell them my story 0.98
00:47:20.780 and they're like fuck that's awesome because i tell them from the beginning and then i tell them 0.99
00:47:26.120 what it took and i tell them how long it took and they're like that is fucking awesome and dude you 0.98
00:47:30.360 know what a lot of those people walk away inspired i can do that too exactly yeah exactly yeah so what 0.99
00:47:38.260 you know what's wrong with that what's what's bad about that why does the average motherfucker 1.00
00:47:44.840 driving a minivan hate that so much i'll tell you why because they made decisions that weren't in 0.99
00:47:51.040 line with what they really wanted they made decisions that were in line with what society
00:47:55.020 told them they should do and now they're bitter and more importantly they're gonna they know that
00:47:59.620 they're gonna continue to make those decisions that's right every day they're gonna deep down
00:48:03.680 they know they're not gonna change no yeah so they hate you because they hate themselves right
00:48:08.500 you know so like i i even made a post the other day about uh you know don't be afraid to use
00:48:14.960 material things as leverage for your goals like you know cars are a huge passion of mine if i wasn't a 0.72
00:48:21.280 fucking car guy i don't know that i'd even be an entrepreneur because i knew i had to make a lot of 0.85
00:48:25.820 money to fucking become uh successful enough to drive the cars that i wanted to drive so so when things 0.99
00:48:32.600 were hard and things were tough and and i wanted to quit i always knew i'm like well if you quit 0.97
00:48:37.940 you're not gonna ever be able to drive lambos and shit like that yeah you know what i'm saying 0.63
00:48:41.940 that's that's actually a great point because human beings are not we're not motivated by abstract 0.97
00:48:45.980 concepts we're motivated by concrete things so you know i mean i'm sure there's somebody out there
00:48:51.380 who just absolutely loves mathematics but you're you're not gonna most of us don't go into it
00:48:56.200 because of some abstract love we we go into it because we found some concrete application which is
00:49:01.220 why the visual the what is it the vision boards yeah um they're pictures of things you want
00:49:06.260 you know because like or things that represent what it's conflicting right because like on one
00:49:10.500 hand i'm saying impact people on the other hand i'm saying buy material shit and people are like 0.62
00:49:16.180 well you're saying two different things that's because it evolves that's because it evolves when 0.95
00:49:19.880 you're fucking broke and you have nothing to hang on to and no real like hope of like what your life's 0.94
00:49:26.660 going to be like or be you just can't see that light at the end of the tunnel sometimes the only 0.98
00:49:31.380 thing you have to hold on to is those material goals you know what i mean right like dude one day
00:49:36.220 i'm gonna be able to buy this farm for my family and we're gonna live there those dreams and those
00:49:40.380 goals and you know when you when you're going through a tough time and that's all you have 0.98
00:49:48.620 that's all you fucking have and dude i could tell you those fucking goals and dreams of mine pulled 0.99
00:49:53.460 me through situations a million times where i would have otherwise quit but i knew that if i quit there 0.99
00:49:59.320 was zero chance that i would ever hit that and and if i didn't quit there was at least a one percent
00:50:05.220 chances i could still hit it right and i hung on to that one percent and then what you know what
00:50:10.360 happens is eventually and it evolves right you you start to become successful you start to make money
00:50:16.960 you start to have more things in your bank account buy more shit you know do more cool things and you 0.63
00:50:23.400 start to realize that like once you do so much cool shit there's only so much cool shit you can do 0.90
00:50:27.560 and then you start to realize that what you really enjoy and what you really love 0.91
00:50:32.260 is impacting other people and helping other people become successful like dude jason my right
00:50:38.160 hand guy here just bought a brand new 2017 audi r8 a week ago i was way more excited for him to buy
00:50:45.220 that car than i've been excited for me to buy any of my cars because that's what excites me now
00:50:50.240 is seeing my guys become successful especially because it's been on his computer desktop for the past
00:50:55.520 two years right exactly and like dude you so so your things evolve but when you're when you're young
00:51:01.720 like most people are here and you're not killing it financially successful like a lot of the
00:51:06.600 people are here uh you know you that sometimes that's all you got is little dreams and like for
00:51:13.360 other people to come and tell you that you're materialistic or you're selfish or there's something 0.95
00:51:16.880 wrong with you for wanting to drive a fucking lamborghini or live in a big house or this or that 0.99
00:51:21.520 is fucked up because what if that's all you got to hang on to and that's the difference between you 1.00
00:51:27.780 making 10 million dollars over the course of your life or making 500 000 over the course of your life 0.99
00:51:34.060 being broke you see what i'm saying yeah so like absolutely and and the guy who makes 10 million
00:51:39.580 dollars or 20 million dollars over the course of his life or or even better a couple million dollars
00:51:44.100 a year they come relatively successful financially small business guy entrepreneur who want to drive a 0.95
00:51:50.180 fucking lamborghini he got himself to where he's making a million and a half two million dollars a year 0.86
00:51:54.480 guess what he can afford to do he can afford to give a lot of that away to other people and help 0.99
00:51:59.020 build cool shit and like do cool shit for other people for you know for charities and like a lot 0.78
00:52:05.540 of good comes to that a lot of jobs are created by that and like people don't talk about that all they 1.00
00:52:10.680 talk about is the selfish asshole who wants to drive fucking half a million dollar car well how much 0.99
00:52:16.520 good is that other guy how much good is that guy done for other people you ever stop to think about 1.00
00:52:20.020 that because most of the guys i know that drive the cars that i drive have given 10 times more
00:52:27.020 of that away before they ever even bought that car right but that's not talked about you know what i mean
00:52:35.360 i i texted you about this the other day and and i do want to bring it up it's um
00:52:43.540 when you did that review of the gt um and i watched the whole thing was like a half an hour
00:52:51.000 by the way guys if you haven't seen andy's review of his new gt it's awesome it's on youtube our
00:52:55.680 youtube channel but um i was just struck by the fact that you just genuinely love cars like it wasn't
00:53:01.300 didn't didn't seem to me at all like i'm bragging there's probably a little bit of bragging in there
00:53:05.640 because you know but but it was just like wow i was bragging or was it telling the truth right
00:53:10.560 telling the truth telling the truth and you're really excited about it i contrast watching the 0.96
00:53:15.960 comments were interesting because i said in the video totally my fucking brains no but i said in 0.97
00:53:22.380 the video i own this car this car this car this car this car and i've driven all these cars as a 0.98
00:53:29.400 measuring stick to to to put this car against and then i went and talked about the new four gt for 34
00:53:35.800 minutes about the differences between that car and this car it was amazing to me how many people
00:53:41.380 wrote comments that perceived that as bragging right when i was talking about other cars that i
00:53:46.440 own when in reality i'm i'm i'm edifying myself as somebody who's driven a lot of cars so i can give
00:53:52.720 you the perspective of what this car is like to drive and it was really interesting to me how many
00:53:58.380 people perceive that as bragging right well and that just goes to show you what we're talking about
00:54:03.120 right no and i and to clarify that's not what i meant i meant that when you're talking about you
00:54:08.580 know when anybody's talking about their material possessions there's probably a little bit of swag
00:54:12.180 involved there that's and there's nothing wrong with that but the point that i want to make is that
00:54:16.320 yeah right so the point that i want to make though is that there's just this genuine enjoyment there's
00:54:20.660 this genuine like this is kind of a foo-foo word but joy you know you have you take this joy in
00:54:26.600 these things no that's that's a vawn word yeah that's a vawn word okay so so but contrast that with
00:54:32.420 people who they buy cars because you know they feel like they have to as like status symbols and
00:54:40.520 they're just kind of enslaved to that and to me what i love about like what i've what i've perceived
00:54:45.500 about you since i've known you is all of these things are things that you just generally like
00:54:49.560 yeah and want yeah and if they went away right i fucking don't care right and wouldn't you say 0.93
00:54:53.840 that's the best way to enjoy material things yeah i'm not defined by that shit right and any of my 0.91
00:54:58.040 friends would tell you that like dude most of the people i hang out with are not on the same level 0.90
00:55:03.780 financially as me or even close you know what i'm saying like that shit doesn't define me my the 0.94
00:55:10.240 amount of money i make doesn't define me the shit that i have where i live it doesn't define who i am 0.94
00:55:14.740 and it shouldn't for you either you know what i mean it should be something to compliment you it 0.80
00:55:18.800 should be something to help you enjoy your life more you know like dude when i go out with my friends i
00:55:23.580 always pick up the tab i love that i don't look at it like a burden i'm love that i'm in a position
00:55:28.120 to do that because most of my friends work here and they earn fucking you know they they work their 0.93
00:55:34.240 fucking asses off for me so i'm happy to do it i don't see money as defining me but i do see it 0.96
00:55:40.780 as a measuring stick on where i am in my career so in a way like i know i get that like i like dude 0.99
00:55:48.320 it's like i don't even like talking about like i have a nice car but i don't like talking about it
00:55:51.860 because it's not what i want right no no no i i get that totally dude like like it could definitely
00:55:58.400 be a way that you rate yourself and i think the most competitive people always rate themselves
00:56:03.620 on how much money they make um you know like i want to be the fucking highest paid ceo of any 0.90
00:56:10.420 nutrition company on the earth not because i need the money but because i know that if i'm making the
00:56:15.800 most money i know in my heart that all my guys are making money first all our reps are making money
00:56:21.680 we're doing well we're changing people's lives we're impacting people and it's a reflection of
00:56:26.000 the job that i do you know what i'm saying yeah i totally get like dude i give away a lot of money
00:56:30.500 like a lot so you're saying like that's that's an indication tyler of where you're at and realizing
00:56:35.920 your your own full potential which by the way you rank it pretty high because you could pay a lot of
00:56:40.360 money not enough well let me go back to something you touched on because i think but no dude you know
00:56:47.200 what i think though to that point is i think that when you're when you're kind of establishing yourself
00:56:52.340 as as um at like like dude people think like and dude you're an awesome videographer but people
00:56:59.040 don't realize is that you just kind of learned how to do that in the last two or three years like you
00:57:03.580 didn't come in here knowing how to do that no so there's a there's a as good as you are and you're 0.89
00:57:08.960 fucking great but there's a self-belief edifying piece of that puzzle where you have to like rate
00:57:17.620 yourself and you know as you're coming up like i don't like tyler's a humble dude like like you know 0.97
00:57:26.020 i think tyler's a lot better at what he does and what he thinks he is um but you know when you're
00:57:32.060 trying to earn your place in this in the ranking of the big picture you know money is a lot of
00:57:37.660 times a way to rank it you know what i mean and i think once you start making and once you start
00:57:43.160 making you know enough eventually you cross the line where it doesn't that's not how you rank
00:57:48.980 you see what i'm saying yeah although i would never in a million years call you a videographer
00:57:53.580 that's something that people do it no but weddings no no i call tyler a producer or director well
00:57:59.280 yeah but he knows you know what i know i do i'm just but like you know it's natural rank against
00:58:09.100 this or that like if you're competitive at all you're going to rank everything like you're going
00:58:12.700 to compete in everything i think that i don't think i think that's going to make you unhappy long term
00:58:17.760 i think if you're always going to be uh the guy comparing yourself to other people you're going to 0.88
00:58:21.980 be unhappy like dude i got people i know that are the same age as me that make fucking 10 times as 0.99
00:58:28.000 much money as me you know what i mean and like dude i get caught up and like i'm like fuck i'm 0.89
00:58:32.680 way behind like but you know what i i also then i have to stop and say well you know what i started
00:58:39.480 from a real zero like real zero you know what i mean i didn't i didn't walk in to a business that
00:58:45.560 somebody else owned i'm not a third generation owner uh you know i didn't i didn't start at the
00:58:53.240 same place some of these other guys started so how can i compare myself to that person when it
00:58:57.600 comes to money you see what i'm saying oh yeah you've talked about that before you just can't
00:59:01.920 you have to be the measure of your own success you just can't compare yourself it's not fair
00:59:05.380 um so as i was saying i want to get back to a point that you were making that you said that if a
00:59:10.500 buy if a guy buys a six hundred thousand dollar uh car we still don't understand that that's
00:59:16.880 probably well within his budget and so uh i was looking over your notes here and this is a great
00:59:23.060 point to make is that you say people who are wealthy and know how to stay wealthy understand
00:59:27.460 that no amount of money in the bank suddenly gives you the freedom to be financially irresponsible
00:59:32.660 so you say consistently wasting money will catch up with you whether you have a hundred dollars in
00:59:38.080 the bank or a hundred million dollars yeah yeah i think so here's something that i think
00:59:43.200 when i when i read that note i don't know if you remember this but a couple years ago
00:59:48.820 you posted about getting a speeding ticket it was like a 200 speeding ticket right and somebody said
00:59:54.300 uh no big deal right andy it's only 200 meaning yeah and and your response was awesome he was like
01:00:01.820 you said no it's 200 it's 200 that are wasted so just because i make you know a million dollars
01:00:10.240 doesn't doesn't mean i can just say oh it's 200 i don't want to waste it you know hundred dollars
01:00:14.120 the hundred dollars man right dollars a dollar right and i know exactly what i said to that guy
01:00:18.000 yeah i said 200 200 fucking dollars yeah you know what i'm saying yeah and like dude that's that's 0.95
01:00:23.000 reflective of somebody's mentality that they're just going to piss money away right like once you get 0.99
01:00:26.800 to a certain amount of money you can just start pissing it away like dude i buy the shit i like but 0.92
01:00:30.920 other than that i'm frugal yeah for real like dude i don't spend money i don't spend money on clothes 0.96
01:00:35.800 i don't wear fashionable shit like i don't i mean besides a watch but like i don't have like it's 0.86
01:00:42.920 gonna sound weird to people but i don't really have expensive tastes like i don't i don't need to go 0.98
01:00:47.180 like i go to the same fucking bar every time i go to eat right i drink fucking beer you know i'm not 0.99
01:00:53.120 drinking two thousand dollar bottles of wine and then taking my watch and sticking on the wine on the neck 1.00
01:00:59.120 of the wine bottle and taking a picture at fucking dinner like all these douche turds do on the 1.00
01:01:04.000 fucking internet my wife loves the fact that emily goes to aldi dude that's she's a coupon clipper yeah 1.00
01:01:10.480 yeah yeah so let's see here um i think at the end of the day man it just comes down to this like you 0.99
01:01:18.400 need to really evaluate and come to terms with how you feel about money and ask yourself why you feel
01:01:25.400 that way like why if you think money's evil why if you think money's a bad thing why if you're not
01:01:30.560 making money why are you not making money because money you should have a lot of money you everybody 0.90
01:01:38.580 listening to this podcast should have a lot of fucking money because if you're doing the right 0.91
01:01:43.800 thing if you're out providing value if you're doing good for other people if you're providing a product a 0.98
01:01:49.120 service uh that helps people that makes people happy that gets people excited and makes their lives 0.92
01:01:54.600 better you're gonna make money so why the fuck shouldn't you have a lot of money because the 0.74
01:02:00.240 only way to make money right now is by doing the morally correct thing and improving other people's 0.79
01:02:04.240 lives so why shouldn't you have a lot of money the only reason you don't have a lot of money is 0.70
01:02:09.340 because you're not fucking doing that why aren't you doing that and don't you think that you by you 0.97
01:02:14.580 not doing that you're not living up to your potential and if you're not living up to your 0.99
01:02:17.640 potential what the fuck are you doing why are you even what are you doing you know what i mean 1.00
01:02:23.400 let's cut the bullshit you know let's stop with the fucking let's stop with the excuses of you know 1.00
01:02:29.540 oh well i don't need money or money doesn't make me happy motherfucker money makes everybody happier 1.00
01:02:34.180 it really does do you see people self-destruct because they got money absolutely but that's 0.99
01:02:39.680 because they were already fucked up when they started you know what i mean like do people like 0.98
01:02:44.100 to look at these extreme situations and attach that as the whole like oh it fucking ruins you 0.98
01:02:51.300 it makes you this it makes you that dude i went to a church service for enzo's baptism 0.98
01:02:56.980 and the fucking preacher it was a lutheran what do they call the lutheran guys preacher uh yeah i 0.98
01:03:03.260 think so all right whatever he's up there talking about like dude you know i'm i roll in driving my 0.99
01:03:09.000 you know it's a nice event right right like i drive my fucking rolls i fucking roll up uh you know 0.99
01:03:15.180 and i give money to church i still give money to that church but like uh you know i drive up i'm driving 0.99
01:03:20.440 the fucking rolls i'm wearing a fucking suit that costs like five grand you know what i'm saying 0.99
01:03:24.040 i'm wearing a wash that costs 40 grand you know i think i'm pimping right like i'm looking good it's 1.00
01:03:29.220 enzo's baptism that's how us italian people do this shit right so i'm rolling in the and the 0.99
01:03:35.540 fucking guy i'm sitting in the front row and this dude had to have fucking known me or something 0.99
01:03:39.780 he goes on for like a 30 minute fucking spiel about how uh in the bible and you could probably know 1.00
01:03:45.900 this quote but the the a camel has a better chance of going through the head of a needle 0.98
01:03:51.940 than a rich man getting into heaven or some quote like that is that a quote yeah is that the quote
01:03:56.920 yeah but there's a context okay so he says this quote and he starts talking about it like it's
01:04:02.460 literal like like dude like and i swear he looked at me like 20 times like right at me
01:04:07.880 like right at me and i'm like how the fuck does this guy know i'm here and you know what what are 0.91
01:04:15.280 the chances he's going to give this talk and look right at me while i'm sitting here and dude i'm 0.80
01:04:19.380 getting pissed i'm not like like he's not like forcing me to question myself i'm getting angry 0.72
01:04:25.120 because i just wrote a fucking gigantic check to charity like three days earlier like more than that 0.99
01:04:30.800 motherfucker will ever give you know what i'm saying and i start going through my head i start going 0.99
01:04:36.020 through my head of all the good shit i've done like all the great shit i've done for other people 1.00
01:04:41.120 which is you know and and fuck yeah it's bragging a lot i've done a lot a fucking lot you know why 0.98
01:04:47.420 because i like it it makes me feel good and i feel an obligation you know what when i used to say my 0.97
01:04:52.620 prayers when i was broke as fuck i used to always say this i say god if you help me be successful i 0.98
01:04:57.460 promise i'll do the right thing and help other people with it and i said that for 20 fucking years 0.98
01:05:02.440 before i went to bed you know what i'm trying to hold up my fucking end of the deal and then i got 1.00
01:05:06.920 this motherfucker sitting in front of the fucking church telling me all this shit you know what i'm 1.00
01:05:13.240 saying and like dude i've seriously wanted to get up and punch him in the fucking face like but my 1.00
01:05:19.080 point here vaughn yeah is even this fucking guy who is supposed to be the head of a church 0.99
01:05:23.340 is judging which is what you're not supposed to do me without knowing anything because he saw me 0.97
01:05:31.620 drive up in the fucking rolls royce having no clue what i've done outside of other than drive the 0.99
01:05:37.740 rolls royce now that's broke motherfucking mentality you see what i'm saying uh yeah i wasn't there so 0.99
01:05:45.780 i don't know but but yeah i even said to my brother i said who the fuck is this guy he's like oh i had 1.00
01:05:51.960 it was uh you know that was just as i'm like bullshit that motherfucker was like looking at me and 0.99
01:05:56.800 point at me you know what i'm saying like what what the fuck bro like i've fucking done more good 1.00
01:06:05.420 in my 37 years than you've probably done your entire fucking 70 year old life and you're gonna 1.00
01:06:10.820 judge me because i drive a nice car fuck you i don't care if you're with the church or not 1.00
01:06:15.360 well amazingly or maybe not amazingly really the the bible's view of money is that it can be 1.00
01:06:24.040 something that keeps you from god if you put your hope and money instead of god but the flip
01:06:27.960 side is that it can be a tremendous tool for good dude who pays for all these missions right who pays 0.99
01:06:34.480 for all right yeah dude that's the ultimate fucking funniest thing ever all these motherfuckers that go 0.97
01:06:40.320 on missions and god bless you guys but you all talk about money like it's bad oh i'm going on these 0.99
01:06:47.200 missions you know because that's what i care about i don't care about money well who the fuck pays for 0.97
01:06:50.880 your missions right fuckers like me right but those are people who are they think they know what 0.99
01:06:56.340 the bible says but they're not reading the whole bible i mean jesus has a parable where basically the 0.99
01:07:00.280 guy who who actually is commended above everybody else is the guy who took a little bit of money
01:07:05.360 and made a lot with it it's the parable of the good steward it's basically this guy went away
01:07:10.920 all these people vaughn you you have extensive history in the church yeah if you're a first-time
01:07:15.700 listener vaughn is known as the pastor of disaster because he used to be a pastor how many years were you
01:07:20.340 pastor i was 10 10 10 years all right 10 years of pastor extremely well versed still involved in
01:07:25.600 and in church and teaching bible and all these things why do people think this way let's turn
01:07:31.820 the tables let me ask you why do i think people think what why do these people who think that it's
01:07:37.320 a why do they think it is a why do they think it is a it has to be one or the other it has to be god
01:07:45.380 or money or it has to be being a good person or money it can't be both why is that well i think for
01:07:52.080 one thing they they read a passage in the in the bible and they assume they they know what it means
01:07:57.560 so you haven't you have a passage like you cannot serve god and money okay and so they jump on that and
01:08:03.920 say oh wait so i have to make a choice i either i either am committed to god or if if i if i earn money
01:08:12.180 that means i'm not committed to god and they're not really reading it correctly because the idea
01:08:15.420 is you you you can either serve god or you can serve money well serving money would mean that
01:08:21.360 everything you did in your life was just for your own riches and your own personal advance that's
01:08:26.480 what jesus means by that okay he's not saying now i'll be the first guy to say there are people like
01:08:30.200 that yeah yeah yeah and that's what i'm saying well to me andy and maybe this is maybe this is a no i
01:08:34.540 want you to answer maybe this is an oversimplification no this is a better thing for you to talk about than me
01:08:38.420 okay but to me maybe this is an oversimplification and i'm going to bring a a very uh hot button
01:08:43.560 political issue into the into the in the discussion but the issue of second amendment gun rights okay 0.98
01:08:49.400 once again are guns bad no you give a gun saying a fucking is a spoon bad right 0.97
01:08:57.400 and there are people that want to they want to ban guns they want to ban everything you know every 0.97
01:09:02.960 every conceivable gun they want to you know multiply gun laws and they had the wrong emphasis
01:09:08.060 the problem is not the gun the problem is the person wielding the gun and that's the issue with
01:09:13.100 with uh yeah but that's too hard to correct frankly there's an old testament passage that actually
01:09:17.400 in the proverbs that actually says do everything you can to make as much money uh because you can
01:09:23.920 basically get things done i mean that's in the book of proverbs so i think money is one of those
01:09:28.460 things it's kind of like you said it's it's a it's a uh it's a megaphone it brings out what's
01:09:35.000 already there and uh so you're saying and listen money money can tempt people in the sense that
01:09:41.200 it can cause you to do some crazy things but it's it doesn't like what well what i'm saying is it
01:09:46.520 doesn't cause you because there's something inherently wrong but like what well i'm saying
01:09:50.720 like give me an example well okay i mean i'll give you a really personal example is that uh someone
01:09:56.000 that i know something in my extended family um uh his dad just died and so all the people are
01:10:04.660 fighting over this money and they're just like it's breaking down all of the relationships well
01:10:10.120 is the problem money no but the money provided the impetus for all that stuff to happen you know
01:10:16.080 what i'm saying yeah does that make sense yeah so i'm not i i again i think i think it comes down
01:10:21.500 to if you look at from genesis to revelation if you look at the bible what does the bible say about
01:10:25.060 money it's it can be a real force for good it brings out what's in your character but yeah if
01:10:31.780 you're a bad person or if you allow yourself to be corrupted by the love of money then yeah it can 0.89
01:10:37.040 do bad things i love money well i fucking love money right but you have said yourself you love money 0.99
01:10:42.800 because of what it allows you to do yeah right but but i have a very firm understanding that is
01:10:48.720 concrete and that the only way i can earn money is by helping other people right right and that for 0.85
01:10:55.020 that reason that's why i love money right because i look at the money as a fucking gauge of how much 0.64
01:10:59.620 good i did right people when i say that people don't believe me a lot of people are like oh that's 0.97
01:11:06.020 just some bullshit you say no it's not come to one of our meetings i don't come in my meeting and say 0.99
01:11:11.480 hey motherfuckers sell shit right let's sell let's force some shit down some people's throat what did i 1.00
01:11:17.220 say yesterday for an hour and a half over and over and over again about helping people that's that's how 1.00
01:11:22.580 we're going to be a multi-billion dollar brand right right well the only way we can fucking build
01:11:26.400 a billion dollar brand is by impacting more and more and more and more people right which means 0.97
01:11:32.140 every person matters which means and and you fucking i said this exact quote i said i don't care if they 0.97
01:11:39.120 fucking spend twenty dollars or if they spend two hundred or twenty thousand dollars they're equally as 0.96
01:11:44.900 important because their perspective of our company matters and the only way that we can get a great 0.99
01:11:51.300 perspective of our company is by solving their problems above and beyond their expectations
01:11:56.880 every time right you know what i mean right and and and dude i teach our people that like like i i tell
01:12:06.100 people this and i talk about this when i go speak and people are like oh it can't be that easy
01:12:10.040 i don't know it is for us yeah there's a flip side of this though that i really want to share with you
01:12:16.340 and that is this if somebody comes to the average person let's say that they're a they're a booster
01:12:21.400 or they're there's some sort of um fundraiser for let's say university of missouri and they come to
01:12:27.980 you and they say andy we we really want you to give you know a million dollars so we can we can build
01:12:32.460 new box seats on the on the stadium nobody gets offended by that but then when a pastor says hey guys
01:12:38.780 we're really trying to earn a million dollars to do some special things in ministry people get all
01:12:44.080 pissed oh you're you religious people shouldn't be talking about money and it's and that happens
01:12:48.540 all the time that used to happen all the time with us really yeah and and i get like you know i'm 0.79
01:12:53.180 catholic now so what i get is all the catholic church is all about money and i want to say okay
01:12:57.260 listen here's the facts the facts are that a very small percentage of money goes to the operating budget
01:13:03.600 of the catholic church the rest of that stuff goes directly into ministry to people so don't give me 0.98
01:13:08.120 like people have no problem spending lots of money you know what the fucking church needs what 0.94
01:13:12.840 they need somebody to say just like that well you're right because that that is true dude all 0.99
01:13:17.660 these guys they dude i mean let's be real dude like church is it's a fucking joke okay you walk in 0.97
01:13:26.480 and like dude i'm not shitting on anybody's religious beliefs because i have my own beliefs i believe in 0.98
01:13:31.320 god and everything and i i but i mean let's be real no the church is a joke the way people behave in 0.99
01:13:36.960 church is a joke like oh you know they could be in the parking lot being like fuck you know 1.00
01:13:44.160 having a big argument with their wife saying you know fuck you bitch blah blah blah blah blah 1.00
01:13:48.100 and then they're pretending for an hour they walk in church and they got like their fucking suits on 1.00
01:13:53.100 and they you know oh hey hey it's it's really good to see you oh yeah and it's like this fake 0.97
01:13:59.000 like happiness to be there like and i'm i'm oh i'm so i'm such a good person now that i'm in the 0.96
01:14:05.020 lord's house motherfucker that's not the point the point is to be a good person when you're in 0.90
01:14:09.560 everybody's house absolutely you know what i mean 100 and yeah and dude that's why i don't go to 0.99
01:14:14.780 church because i can't stand the fakeness of the people when they're in there it's truth you know
01:14:19.100 what i mean so what you guys need is you need somebody to stand up and give the real deal and 0.99
01:14:23.280 say hey look we're not getting rich here look at me i'm wearing my fucking potato sack every day 0.98
01:14:29.240 right you know what i'm saying like i live with a bunch of other dudes over here in the in the house 0.98
01:14:33.560 we're not ballers we need your money because that's how we operate and this is what we do with
01:14:38.520 it you guys don't down to earth yes yeah but but you don't do that you guys ask the way the way the
01:14:44.100 church asked for it is so cheesy it's just not taken the right way i think like if i was a priest 0.99
01:14:49.220 i'd be in there i'd say hey look motherfuckers you say exactly like that some fucking money 1.00
01:14:54.200 so dig in that motherfucking pocket well get your motherfucking wallet out all right so alligator 1.00
01:14:59.920 arms let me let me say one more thing in response to what you just said i totally agree i totally 0.99
01:15:04.740 agree from the standpoint that people go into a church and they act like they are they they have
01:15:08.580 it all together i i you know do you know that if we had a podcast with jesus how he would be a fan
01:15:13.740 of our podcast i think he would he would laugh his ass off yeah well you know when i when i because 0.87
01:15:18.200 jesus has a sense of humor he he does but you know what it's so i'm just saying like if jesus came to
01:15:22.880 our podcast and we had him on do you know how much fun i'd have trolling jesus he would laugh his 0.95
01:15:29.820 fucking ass off and then he'd be like you're automatically in you're in bro because i want 0.98
01:15:35.480 to hang out with you but listen what is speaking of jesus this is what i tell everybody okay so so 0.99
01:15:40.160 people sometimes ask me you used to be pastor what's your favorite you know part of the bible i
01:15:44.180 said honestly there's a there's a story that jesus tells is about two guys one guy's super super
01:15:49.300 religious he gets all the flowing robes and everything and again i'm not i'm not you know
01:15:52.960 i'm not against well as a story as a catholic i'm not okay so the first guy he's on the edge of the
01:15:59.240 corner he's on the corner money money money how do we get on this but uh on the on the guy on the
01:16:05.700 corner of the street and he's got all the flowing robes and he's out there in front of everybody
01:16:09.120 praying because he wants everybody to see him pray yeah and so he's like and his prayer is literally
01:16:13.040 this god i thank you that i'm not like other men i thank you that i do this and that and this and
01:16:18.140 that and so the word i occurs a lot in in his prayer and so then jesus says well then there's
01:16:23.860 another guy who's a tax collector who in that day was like the worst possible person it'd be like a
01:16:29.460 journalist today yeah in my opinion because journalists have have gone off the tip and they're
01:16:33.040 not you know fake news so so so right so the other guy is a tax collector and the other guy says 0.99
01:16:38.500 god be merciful to me a sinner and he can't even look to heaven because he just knows that he sucks 0.95
01:16:43.820 you know and he needs the grace of god dude so i tell people that's my favorite i mean that's
01:16:49.740 that's what it is it's humility it's saying i need god dude every day every time i pray i always
01:16:56.140 fucking say always like hey i need some strength to be a better dude yeah for real yeah you know 0.85
01:17:02.020 i'm saying honestly that's kind of one of my my uh what's the word my reliefs and not being a 0.99
01:17:07.540 pastor anymore because i suck i'm not a good dude no that's being humble man well that's that's being a 0.81
01:17:12.660 human yeah but but if you weren't human if you weren't human humanity is about being imperfect 0.93
01:17:19.480 yeah no i agree but i you know bottom line with the money really cool talk uh with my friend last
01:17:25.360 night uh jay who is at liveridge media he's on instagram and he's a photographer i don't know
01:17:31.920 anything about liveridge okay yeah you do nothing nothing nothing so dude liveridge shoots all the
01:17:37.860 instagram models like all day long he's around all these hot chicks and people don't realize that
01:17:42.640 he used to be a preacher like a lot like you wow yeah and um we always get these interesting
01:17:49.200 conversations and last night we were this is funny that this came up but last night we were talking
01:17:52.880 about you know what makes people human and it's being imperfect you know what i mean like you can't
01:17:58.420 be perfect it's impossible you could try to be perfect but and that's the goal you should be you
01:18:03.700 should try to be perfect but you're not gonna be and you shouldn't judge yourself so harshly
01:18:09.220 i think people beat themselves up way too much well but that i mean the flip side of that is i that's
01:18:14.720 also why as a pastor i told people you don't earn your way to heaven you you don't that's you said
01:18:21.100 that you said the nature of the nature of humanity is that we're gonna we're all falling short right
01:18:25.860 well yeah right so to me i'm not earning my way to heaven i'm entrusting myself to the mercy of god
01:18:31.080 my goal is to have jesus on the podcast and we have me that's pretty close and make him laugh
01:18:37.060 so much that he just wants me in heaven so that i can make him laugh so jesus come be on the podcast
01:18:44.140 bro it'd be it'd be one for all times yeah yeah that that that would be uh that would be pretty
01:18:50.680 amazing if i could pick any one person to be on the podcast i think it would be him no i think that's
01:18:55.020 a good choice yeah because i think we could make him laugh he could turn water into wine so we could
01:18:59.140 have a lot to drink dude you know that dude has a sense of humor absolutely well a lot of his a lot
01:19:04.320 of his he made tyler he doesn't you don't know he made mail rompers you know you were doing pretty
01:19:11.960 well when you started with he made tyler yeah you know he invented really short salmon shorts 0.97
01:19:16.280 for us to make fun of oh he didn't invent that well who put the fucking idea in his head 0.91
01:19:20.860 right that was jesus right i think that's right whoa i don't know jesus came up with mail rompers 0.97
01:19:26.720 that's pretty sacrilegious jesus had a weird uh weird dress code man he did you know i'm saying 0.86
01:19:32.620 like he was in that weird shit that the robes yeah yeah how did we get on this i don't know 0.96
01:19:37.400 bottom line is money is not inherently evil no it is and you should go out and make a lot of it how 0.98
01:19:42.560 you regard it and how how you allow it and i'm sick and and to wrap up everything else i know this 0.99
01:19:47.600 is kind of a rambling podcast but to wrap up everything else quit being a fake motherfucker man 0.99
01:19:52.840 like don't act like you have all the answers you ain't built anything and if you have built something 0.98
01:19:57.400 feel free to share your knowledge of what you've learned through the experience but but when you're
01:20:02.120 22 years old you haven't built anything you haven't it's just a fact it doesn't mean you're wrong there's
01:20:09.380 something wrong with you but by pretending to talk about all the success you have doesn't mean you're
01:20:13.580 going to have success you know i'm saying absolutely yeah dude i had i see this i see this one
01:20:19.660 kid online who's had a business for a year and he talks as if he's had a business for like
01:20:23.940 fucking 20 years and he's always like giving out these business advices and all this shit and i'm 0.99
01:20:29.220 like bro you don't even know this shit yet like you haven't been stomped on and and you haven't been 1.00
01:20:34.900 choked out and you haven't had a major competitor come after you and try to fucking destroy you and all 0.99
01:20:40.340 you're doing by by talking like that is making yourself a target you know what i mean right like when 0.97
01:20:45.840 you're talking about like all this success stuff and you've never really had any of this
01:20:51.100 these lessons to me what i see as a competitor is i see uh okay well this kid thinks he knows a lot 0.95
01:21:00.220 more than he really knows and he'd be really easy to fucking take out you know what i mean yeah you're 0.94
01:21:05.500 you're showing yourselves weakness he's got to learn and nothing teaches like experience that's the truth 0.94
01:21:10.100 yeah so what's the theme of this podcast well i thought it was money but then it was jesus yeah
01:21:16.280 that's good it's all you know actually the jesus talked about two things uh the jesus more than
01:21:22.200 anything else hell and money true true story wait what jesus talked about two things more than
01:21:29.040 anything else hell and money oh i don't i don't get the relevance of that because we started talking
01:21:34.740 about money and now we're talking about jesus oh but where's the hell come in well i don't know
01:21:39.680 where does it come in you know that you know what your last statement reminded me of is that story
01:21:43.980 about when uh we had a competitor show up at an event and they brought uh they were like undercutting
01:21:51.260 oh yeah everything and so you're like i want you guys to go back to the warehouse grab every single
01:21:56.060 fucking product that they have and we're gonna give it away for free yeah so like dude so this guy 0.86
01:22:00.580 that we used to compete with yeah yeah who's i don't even know if he's in business anymore he he 0.99
01:22:05.520 showed up one time we were at this trade show and he showed up with a booth and it's you know it said
01:22:13.340 uh i think at the time we were doing like 30 million like you know not not like we're doing now we're
01:22:18.300 still doing all right right and uh he showed up with this banner that said it said uh don't go to
01:22:26.660 the other guys come to us cheapest prices in town or something like that because our slogan used to be
01:22:32.840 cheapest price in the country and his was like cheapest price in the world like he just blatantly
01:22:38.400 like it was one up and it was a blatant stab at us right and we were at the show and he's got all
01:22:43.400 these products and he's selling them and this and that and i i walk in i see the booth and i'm like 0.82
01:22:47.280 dude fuck this guy and so i told my guys to go back to the warehouse i said get all the products he has 0.99
01:22:53.220 and i said just give them away for free as much as people want and so they went back they got the 1.00
01:22:59.360 warehouse they got all the shit they gave away the product for free and that dude had to fucking you 0.99
01:23:03.940 know he like threw a fit like he threw shit on the ground he like got all pissed off and he left 1.00
01:23:07.500 wow it's like well dude you know what know your fucking place don't talk shit when you can't back it 0.99
01:23:12.920 up and did he not paint a target yeah yeah for for life you know like dude when you're when you're 1.00
01:23:20.580 the low guy on the totem pole you should fly under the radar otherwise you end up getting stomped
01:23:25.360 on right right you know so uh guys if you haven't i don't can't even imagine you haven't already
01:23:33.240 done this but if you haven't connected with andy yet on social media it's at andy for sell on
01:23:37.360 instagram uh facebook.com forward slash andrew for sell that's right and then it's the first time
01:23:45.980 you ever got it right yeah i know and then uh if you haven't checked out our website which again i
01:23:50.080 can't imagine you haven't done that but the mfceo.com you can actually also type in andy for
01:23:55.520 sell it.com and it'll reroute to the mfceo um just a reminder we have uh andy's otis and charlie book
01:24:03.520 one of the children's books is still available on amazon we're going to come out with book two real
01:24:08.200 soon so get excited about that and then anything else yeah the bottom line is this guys is that
01:24:13.660 you have to if you want to make money which i know all of you guys do or earn money you've got
01:24:19.100 to understand this one concept if you're trying to scam people if you think you're going to trick
01:24:24.960 people if you think you're going to uh you know pull one over on the average customer you cannot
01:24:29.420 do that anymore it's not going to work you're you're buying into old business practices that are
01:24:34.180 becoming extinct and for you to make yourself successful to a point where you're earning money
01:24:39.460 and that means trading something of extreme value making someone's life better so that you can
01:24:44.820 actually get paid you're going to have to legitimately follow through on making someone's
01:24:49.620 life better through a product through a service through a solution through solving a problem and 0.94
01:24:54.960 if you do anything less than that you're going to be out of fucking business that's the bottom line 0.98
01:25:00.660 and if you do it better than everyone else you're going to have a big fat fucking bank account 0.98
01:25:04.580 okay so quit thinking about scamming people and start thinking about really helping people 0.94
01:25:09.260 and you'll come up with you know what is the real success formula
