00:03:25.880 day of the arrest, he said this, the investigation remains ongoing. And that would urge people not

00:03:31.900 to speculate while the authorities establish the full facts. Don't speculate. Don't jump to

00:03:36.360 conclusions. Don't prejudge. All right, I get it. The presumption of innocence and all that.

00:03:41.960 Innocent till proven guilty. I believe in that. But here's the thing. That principle only seems

00:03:47.120 to apply to some people in the UK because that very same day, the same day, the same prime

00:03:53.660 minister went on BBC and was asked about Danny Tomo. Danny Tomo is a 37-year-old activist in

00:04:00.680 the mold of our friend Tommy Robinson, who has been leading protests against mass migration,

00:04:05.980 especially via small dinghies that are crossing the English Channel with illegal migrants.

00:04:11.200 He was arrested for trying to pierce one of the dinghies, and he's been held without bail for that.

00:04:18.120 Now, the BBC asked Burnham, the prime minister, if Danny is racist.

00:05:46.180 prime minister being careful. That is a prime minister putting his thumb on the scales of

00:05:50.440 justice. In Canada, we'd have a word for that. So would any lawyer in England. It's called

00:05:54.040 prejudicing a trial. A jury one day will be picked from people who watch the BBC

00:05:59.140 and the head of the government has already told them what to think about this guy.

00:06:45.300 Criminal damage with intent to endanger life, endangering the safety of a ship.

00:06:54.740 And what do they actually wind up charging him with? Criminal damage. That's it. Criminal damage

00:06:58.440 to a rubber boat, plus a second charge for not handing over the password to his iPhone.

00:07:04.720 He pleaded not guilty. He chose a jury trial. And on Friday at Basingstoke Magistrates Court,

00:07:10.500 excuse me, he was refused bail. 37-year-old roofer, father of four, his partner's expecting another

00:07:17.580 baby. He is not a flight risk. Where exactly is he going to go? To France? He was refused bail.

00:07:31.720 You probably haven't heard the name, but in 2024, three women came to a pro-Hamas march

00:07:51.340 And then he gave them conditional discharges. No jail, no punishment. Really, your lesson has been well learned, he said. He actually said that. Paragliders celebrating a Hamas massacre, go home, don't worry about it. A rubber boat, go straight to jail. Same judge.

00:08:53.160 she was put in jail for 31 months long sentence 31 months for a tweet she was behind bars for about

00:09:01.340 a year in the end, away from her daughter. A mother who writes a nasty tweet, no bail. 0.90

00:09:24.860 Today, the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, the Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood is her name,

00:09:30.980 She announced a new route for refugees into Britain.

00:09:35.360 And who did she single out?

00:09:36.680 Her words, around a quarter will be Afghan women and girls fleeing persecution under the Taliban.

00:27:43.720 no connection with the consulate general of the People's Republic of China in Toronto.

00:27:48.260 We strongly oppose any malicious implication or false accusations made to damage the reputation

00:27:55.060 of China and the consulate general. So no comments about the violence or the threats, just,
