Rebel News Podcast - Off The Cuff Declassified - John Cardillo - May 4⧸2018

00:00:00.000 Today on Off the Cuff Declassified, we're going to be talking about the fake news

00:00:03.440 surrounding the Michael Cohen and Robert Mueller's special counsel investigations.

00:00:09.260 Kurt Schlichter joins me to recap the week, and Amanda Head and I dig into a break-in

00:00:15.040 at Governor Jerry Brown's home, Tom Brokaw, and the group formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America.

00:00:21.260 Plus, border crossing, illegal border crossings on our southern border

00:00:25.880 were up 233% in April from the same period last year.

00:00:31.440 I'm going to tell you why.

00:00:37.980 The mainstream media just can't help itself.

00:00:40.360 It's like a dog salivating over a bone.

00:00:43.980 Whenever they potentially get any little sliver of red meat that appears to be damaging to Donald Trump,

00:00:52.460 anyone around Donald Trump, it doesn't matter if it's the nephew of the housekeeper in a Trump hotel,

00:00:59.320 the mainstream media will dig into their life, ruin their life, and make sure that their life is ruined

00:01:04.840 for posterity.

00:01:06.700 So it should come as no surprise when yesterday, NBC further embarrassed itself.

00:01:12.980 NBC News reported that Donald Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, had been wiretapped by the FBI,

00:01:19.900 and then in one of those calls, it was Donald Trump calling Michael Cohen from the White House

00:01:26.440 that he was caught on a wiretap.

00:01:28.400 Well, officials in the government looked at this, shook their heads, and it was even too much for them,

00:01:34.260 even too much for the deep staters who were out to dethrone, I shouldn't even say dethrone, 1.00

00:01:40.280 because Trump has acted more like a president than anyone.

00:01:42.200 Obama acted like a king.

00:01:43.560 Who are out to destroy Trump's presidency.

00:01:47.180 NBC reported this, well, shortly thereafter, the reporter, Tom Winter, the investigative reporter

00:01:53.480 at NBC News, and I hate to use that term so loosely, investigative reporter at NBC News,

00:02:00.760 he tweeted, and he tweeted this about 6, let's see, 6.30 p.m. last night, correction, earlier today,

00:02:07.720 NBC News and this reporter said that Michael Cohen's phone lines were wiretapped.

00:02:13.640 Three senior U.S. officials now dispute that, saying the monitoring was limited to a log of calls,

00:02:20.480 a pen register, not a wiretap of Cohen's lines.

00:02:23.880 We will continue to report.

00:02:26.120 Now, this is a very important distinction.

00:02:28.960 Michael Cohen's phones are what's called trapped, not tapped.

00:02:32.800 A trap just gives you a record of the calls.

00:02:35.600 A tap is when you can listen in on those calls and record them.

00:02:38.980 A significant difference.

00:02:42.120 Now, I'm sick of hearing from the mainstream media things like, well, we don't need to understand

00:02:46.640 the nuances of law enforcement and investigative tactics.

00:02:49.400 We don't need to understand all these things.

00:02:51.520 Oh, it was a young editorial staffer.

00:02:53.660 A young editorial staffer.

00:02:54.940 They didn't know what they were doing, but the meaning is the same.

00:02:57.120 No, no.

00:02:58.500 It is considerably different.

00:03:00.240 One is far more serious than the other.

00:03:02.600 One indicates far more evidence than the other to get the warrant to wiretap.

00:03:06.580 It is a critical and important detail.

00:03:12.500 But even worse, I would never, never have been able to report that, never have been allowed

00:03:18.380 to report that here at The Rebel with the editorial standards we have.

00:03:21.980 My managing editor would never have let me report a story like that on evidence so flimsy,

00:03:29.400 on source material so thin that it could only be debunked.

00:03:33.400 It could be debunked only three hours later, four hours later, by three anonymous officials.

00:03:39.200 The anonymous sources were enough to debunk the original reporting.

00:03:44.380 That's a fundamental problem at NBC News.

00:03:48.360 Now, we're seeing a lot of this since Rudy Giuliani went on Sean Hannity's show and essentially

00:03:53.420 blew the liberal narrative that President Trump engaged in some kind of campaign finance

00:03:59.200 cover-up with Michael Cohen.

00:04:00.420 Now, as I told you, I believe it was on yesterday's show, the reason, the reason they're trying

00:04:05.500 to say that Donald Trump and Michael Cohen engaged in this funneling of money is because

00:04:10.640 that's exactly what Hillary Clinton did by funneling money through her law firm, Perkins 1.00

00:04:14.920 Coey, to Fusion GPS to pay for the steel dossier.

00:04:17.720 Well, now Giuliani is doubling down.

00:04:20.160 And that's probably why NBC News needed to get a story out.

00:04:24.060 They needed to overshadow the things Giuliani was saying.

00:04:26.720 Giuliani is now saying that Jeff Sessions could close down the Mueller probe.

00:04:33.300 This from Fox News.

00:04:35.640 Giuliani is saying that special counsel, that Attorney General Jeff Sessions could close,

00:04:41.540 or to use, quote, close, special counsel Robert Mueller's probe.

00:04:44.840 And I suspect this is why the fake news is ramping up about Michael Cohen.

00:04:48.540 Whenever there's a solid case to end Mueller's probe, whenever a piece of evidence or material

00:04:55.640 information surface is to end it, the mainstream media miraculously finds something more damning,

00:05:01.740 always based on anonymous sources, on Trump and company.

00:05:05.280 But Giuliani from Fox News says, excuse me, Sessions should close special counsel Robert Mueller's

00:05:10.540 probe.

00:05:10.800 A call that comes from Giuliani amid GOP pressure on Capitol Hill to find out whether the investigation

00:05:17.220 has gone beyond its original mandate.

00:05:20.480 Giuliani said, quote, the basis of the case is dead, meaning Russia collusion.

00:05:27.520 Sessions should step in and close it. 0.79

00:05:30.900 He's 100 percent right.

00:05:34.100 Giuliani went on to say, he said this on Hannity, there's been too much government misconduct.

00:05:38.640 The crimes now have all been committed by the government and their agents.

00:05:43.400 He's right.

00:05:44.940 He is right.

00:05:46.220 Now, Rosenstein wrote a letter and he wrote a letter, but Rosenstein generated work product

00:05:51.960 that reads in part, quote, on May 17th, 2017, I, Rod Rosenstein, issued an order entitled

00:05:59.560 Appointment of Special Counsel to Investigate Russian Interference of 2016 Presidential Election

00:06:05.000 and Related Matters.

00:06:06.040 He appointed, oh, he wrote this to, I'm sorry.

00:06:10.080 He wrote this to Mueller, appointing you to serve as special counsel for the United States

00:06:15.600 Department of Justice.

00:06:17.120 This is the scope memo.

00:06:18.920 The order drafted by Rosenstein to Mueller states that Mueller is authorized to conduct

00:06:24.920 an investigation, quote, confirmed by then FBI Director James B. Comey, confirmed by then

00:06:33.600 FBI Director James B. Comey in testimony before the House Intelligence Committee on March

00:06:40.420 20, 2017, including, quote, any links and or coordination between the Russian government

00:06:46.580 and individuals associated with the campaign of Donald Trump and any matters, any matters

00:06:54.560 that arose or may arise directly from that investigation.

00:07:00.300 You don't get the Stormy Daniels from Russia collusion.

00:07:04.740 You just don't get there.

00:07:06.140 You don't get there.

00:07:07.460 But it's not a direct connection.

00:07:10.360 They looked at Michael Cohen going to Prague.

00:07:12.400 Michael Cohen said he was never in Prague.

00:07:14.220 That should have been it.

00:07:15.500 But they dug a little deeper on Cohen and they were never supposed to do that.

00:07:20.540 That's the problem.

00:07:22.320 Now, Rosenstein then includes a more extensive list with a more specific description.

00:07:27.340 And a lot of this is redacted.

00:07:30.800 Now, Rosenstein is lashing back out, saying he's being extorted.

00:07:34.640 He said, quote, I can tell you that there are people who have been making threats privately

00:07:38.780 and publicly against me for quite some time.

00:07:41.280 And I think they should understand by now the Department of Justice is not going to be

00:07:45.500 extorted.

00:07:46.160 We're going to do what is required by the rule of law and any kind of threats that anybody

00:07:50.140 makes are not going to affect the way we do our job.

00:07:53.020 In a perfect world, that would be correct.

00:07:54.920 I would agree with Rob Rosenstein.

00:07:56.060 But I don't agree with Rob Rosenstein.

00:07:58.540 I don't think he's an honest ethical actor.

00:08:00.820 Rod Rosenstein, only a few months back, threatened members of the House Intelligence Committee.

00:08:05.800 You remember that meeting where he kind of implied that if they pushed too far, he might

00:08:10.080 wind up investigating them.

00:08:12.960 Terrible.

00:08:13.940 Now, here's a section.

00:08:16.880 Mueller is saying that he can expand his investigation with DOJ consent, with DOJ consent, with Rosenstein's

00:08:25.660 consent, because Sessions is accused.

00:08:27.340 Let me read you that section.

00:08:29.680 Quote, if in the course of his or her investigation, the special counsel concludes that additional

00:08:34.640 jurisdiction beyond that specific in his or her original jurisdiction is necessary in order

00:08:39.680 to fully investigate and resolve the matters assigned or to investigate new matters that come to light

00:08:46.740 in the court of his or her investigation.

00:08:48.660 He or she will consult with the Attorney General, who will determine whether to include the additional

00:08:54.960 matters within the special counsel's jurisdiction or assign them elsewhere.

00:08:59.240 Meaning that it's at the discretion of Rod Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions, if Sessions should

00:09:05.240 unrecuse, to look at the additional information that Robert Mueller gives them.

00:09:10.300 And they then say, OK, Bob, you investigated a special counsel or thank you.

00:09:15.460 That's not your scope.

00:09:16.500 Let's bring this inside DOJ.

00:09:19.580 Now, Rosenstein appears to have done that with Michael Cohen.

00:09:22.440 He brought it in and gave it to the Southern District of New York.

00:09:25.520 But it begs the question, why was Mueller looking as far as he was?

00:09:30.540 Well, a lot of this goes back to fake news.

00:09:33.460 The mainstream media, the steel dossier, they keep pushing it, pushing it, pushing it.

00:09:37.900 And I believe they're now working in concert with Democrats like Adam Schiff and Ted Lieu,

00:09:42.980 Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein.

00:09:47.380 The deep state is alive and well.

00:09:49.260 The mainstream media appears to be its communications and PR wing.

00:09:53.300 And one thing is for sure, this is all tainted.

00:09:56.940 This is all unethical.

00:09:58.300 This is all dirty.

00:09:59.740 And I think it is long past time, long past time to heed Rudy Giuliani's advice and find

00:10:06.420 a way for the Department of Justice to shut down Robert Mueller without it blowing back

00:10:10.840 on the president of the United States and his team who have done absolutely nothing wrong.

00:10:23.300 Such a busy week of news.

00:10:32.120 Rudy Giuliani's interview and now NBC News has to do a massive retraction about Michael

00:10:38.060 Cohen being wiretapped.

00:10:39.740 Joining me now to make sense of this is Kurt Schlichter, trial lawyer extraordinaire and

00:10:45.020 a fellow rebel.

00:10:45.800 Kurt, let's jump right into Rudy Giuliani.

00:10:48.380 You're a trial lawyer.

00:10:49.180 You know how this stuff works.

00:10:50.160 Do you think Giuliani's interview with Sean Hannity the other night hurt Trump, helped

00:10:55.280 Trump?

00:10:56.480 I don't think it makes any difference at all.

00:10:58.680 I like seeing the never Trumpers going through their little failgasms.

00:11:04.160 They are losing their minds over this.

00:11:06.560 You know, I mean, they are so desperate to find something to undo the results of the election.

00:11:12.540 It's insane.

00:11:14.360 And, you know, Rudy Giuliani's completely destroyed Trump.

00:11:17.220 You know, every time I hear that, I just laugh because Trump's still there.

00:11:22.000 And you know what happened today?

00:11:22.960 That's totally unimportant, except to normal people.

00:11:25.720 Lowest number of unemployment claims in 45 years.

00:11:29.060 Yeah, almost half a century.

00:11:30.960 The lowest number of unemployment claims in almost half a century.

00:11:33.780 But you know what's important?

00:11:35.540 Some stripper. 1.00

00:11:36.720 Oh, the stripper is supremely important. 0.99

00:11:39.960 But here's the thing about the stripper. 1.00

00:11:41.380 And here's why I think what Rudy did was brilliant.

00:11:43.160 I'm not being a cheerleader for Trump.

00:11:44.560 You and I speak enough offline when he needs to be critiqued, he gets critiqued.

00:11:49.160 Giuliani took all the wind out of the sails of criminality.

00:11:53.400 Giuliani went out there and he said, yep, he paid his lawyer out of personal funds.

00:11:57.100 His lawyer cut the deal and settled and advanced the money.

00:12:00.320 Maybe it's distasteful.

00:12:01.960 Maybe the evangelicals will have moral problems with it.

00:12:04.720 Well, they sure have a problem when I laughed about it today on Twitter.

00:12:07.860 Right.

00:12:08.160 Maybe people have ethical problems with it.

00:12:10.200 But none of that is criminal.

00:12:12.040 Nothing remotely criminal about that.

00:12:13.580 Well, here's the problem these people face.

00:12:16.940 They changed the rules 20 years ago.

00:12:18.680 20 years ago, I was outraged about Bill Clinton lying about sex.

00:12:22.920 Right.

00:12:23.120 20 years ago.

00:12:24.260 And I've gone through two decades of being told it's not important.

00:12:28.660 So I'm going to play by those rules.

00:12:31.120 Now, my personal feelings about it deep inside really don't matter.

00:12:35.920 What matters to me are things like real people having a chance to support their families, job claims at 45-year lows.

00:12:43.660 North and South Korea.

00:12:46.080 North and South Korea talking peace after seven decades.

00:12:50.740 The North and South Korean ping pong teams are getting together.

00:12:54.160 Yeah, tens of thousands of young Americans may not die in another horrible Korean war.

00:13:00.160 Now, maybe I'm biased because I was a soldier.

00:13:02.860 I led those young people.

00:13:05.300 Right.

00:13:05.360 But when there's a chance that tens of thousands of Americans don't die, I've got to put that down as heavier than a dude at a one-night stand with some stripper 10 years ago and paid her a few bucks to shut up.

00:13:16.120 And, of course, she didn't shut up.

00:13:17.660 His wife doesn't even seem to care about this. 0.73

00:13:20.180 Look, he's a billionaire.

00:13:21.980 Is it a shock to anyone's system that the celebrity billionaire might have had some strange on the side?

00:13:27.320 I don't think anybody cares about this.

00:13:30.140 Look, the fact is Donald Trump's personal choices were baked into the mix.

00:13:37.660 We could take a guy who we knew did something, lived a way that you and I probably wouldn't choose to live.

00:13:42.500 Or we could take the woman who lived the way you and I didn't choose to live and who wanted to take all our rights. 1.00

00:13:48.640 So I'm pretty comfortable with my choice.

00:13:51.820 And, you know, I'm not a moralist, Kurt.

00:13:53.800 I've never been a moralist.

00:13:54.960 If you do the job that you're paid to do and your past transgressions don't creep into that job, I couldn't care less what you did.

00:14:04.300 As long as you didn't go out there, as long as you weren't a cocaine trafficker, as long as you didn't molest children or murder 14 people. 0.85

00:14:10.100 Who you screwed around with, I couldn't care less. 0.60

00:14:13.980 Well, you know, I was a lot more of a moralist 20 years ago.

00:14:18.640 And then I realized that's simply not the rule. 0.93

00:14:22.740 And I refuse to be a sucker.

00:14:24.280 I refuse to play a two-track system where I'm tied up in knots and trying to protect my liberty

00:14:31.240 because somebody else has done things that I don't like when those rules aren't applied to my opponents. 0.96

00:14:38.540 I refuse to be a sucker. 0.64

00:14:39.740 Well, that's it. 0.95

00:14:40.540 And I've often said it on Twitter.

00:14:41.900 You and I think quite a bit alike.

00:14:44.040 This whole take the high road narrative these days really only serves to have your Achilles tendon slashed.

00:14:50.540 Well, exactly.

00:14:51.640 The high road ends with Americans being free and prosperous.

00:14:56.560 That's right.

00:14:57.260 And however we get there.

00:14:58.180 That's the high road.

00:14:59.020 And anything that gets in the way of that, I'm going to fight.

00:15:02.860 And if it takes a guy who lives a lifestyle that neither you nor I particularly approve of,

00:15:10.800 then that's the weapon system I'm going to employ.

00:15:15.140 I keep hearing all you care about is winning.

00:15:18.060 Well, I do care about winning.

00:15:20.240 And maybe people, you know, maybe the Jeff Rubio crew ought to start caring about winning

00:15:25.720 because then maybe people will listen to him instead of knowing, knowing that it's just

00:15:31.700 a long, messy slide to surrender and submission.

00:15:35.020 Look, they would much rather, they would much rather lose in smug sanctimony and wear a little

00:15:40.640 patch that says, hi, my name is conservative purity than they ever would win.

00:15:45.620 If they can, they can, John, because they know that they're preserving their power and prestige.

00:15:52.420 You know, Jeff is always going to get invited to the parties.

00:15:56.280 Rubio is always going to have friends.

00:15:58.920 That's right.

00:15:59.840 But what about the rest of us?

00:16:01.460 What about those people who care that we're at a 45-year low for unemployment claims?

00:16:06.000 Well, I'm tired of caring about a bunch of smug pseudo-conservatives of convenience, the

00:16:12.560 cruise ship cons, the Fredo cons, who use this as a resume builder and a gimmick.

00:16:20.540 I'm concerned about real people and real lives.

00:16:22.960 And those are the ones that not only is Donald Trump making more prosperous, but he may be

00:16:29.300 keeping them alive.

00:16:30.700 He may be keeping them alive.

00:16:32.560 Well, look, the biggest mistake Donald Trump ever made, quite frankly, and I put it squarely

00:16:36.660 on the shoulders of Paul Manafort, was asking Marco Rubio to jump back into the Senate race.

00:16:41.840 We were rid of Marco Rubio.

00:16:44.600 Florida had a couple of hardcore, this guy Carlos Baruf was the frontrunner, friend of

00:16:49.020 Governor Scott.

00:16:49.940 He's a friend of Trump's.

00:16:51.120 He kind of has the same rhetoric.

00:16:52.860 He was rough around the edges, but he was a hardcore conservative.

00:16:55.780 And Paul Manafort convinced Donald Trump to reconcile with Marco Rubio, brought Marco back

00:17:01.220 into the race, Marco won.

00:17:02.960 He ran right back under John McCain's skirt, and the rest is history.

00:17:07.240 And now we have Marco Rubio complaining that tax reform does too much for corporations.

00:17:12.860 And who's celebrating it?

00:17:14.520 Chuck Schumer's chief of staff.

00:17:16.280 That's what the Fredo cons have given us.

00:17:18.980 You know, it's just, it's annoying.

00:17:23.720 There's this whole crew of people who don't understand.

00:17:26.220 This is not just a game.

00:17:27.360 This is not just about who gets the best parking space on Capitol Hill, right?

00:17:30.880 These are real people's lives.

00:17:32.940 And when you leave Washington, when you leave West Los Angeles, there are real people out

00:17:38.180 there whose lives are improving because of Donald Trump.

00:17:40.360 And there are many, many, many tens of thousands of American families who will not have, who

00:17:45.420 may not, may not have to bury a son or daughter.

00:17:48.760 That's right.

00:17:49.160 Because we have a shot.

00:17:50.940 And I do not trust Kim Jong, whatever the hell his name is, as far as I can throw him,

00:17:56.680 which is not far because he's a hefty dude. 0.96

00:17:58.420 He's a little chunky.

00:17:59.660 He's a little chunky.

00:18:00.760 But I'm willing to roll the dice and give it a shot for peace because I know what it,

00:18:09.920 I've been there when American soldiers died.

00:18:11.880 I don't like it.

00:18:12.460 But that's it, Kurt.

00:18:13.460 I like it, John.

00:18:14.400 You've got to give it a shot.

00:18:15.800 And this is further than we've ever gotten.

00:18:18.260 And the reason it's being downplayed, we both know why this is being downplayed.

00:18:22.100 It's being downplayed because the left is mortified.

00:18:25.820 Kim Obama is mortified.

00:18:28.060 That's the only reason.

00:18:28.940 Well, you can't trust.

00:18:30.020 Look, we know we can't trust.

00:18:31.740 Trump knows he can't trust him.

00:18:33.820 I don't trust him.

00:18:34.560 You don't trust him.

00:18:35.800 But you've got to see what happens.

00:18:37.540 You've got to give it a shot.

00:18:38.960 I trust his survival instinct because, as my brilliant town hall article of Thursday said,

00:18:45.000 Donald Trump understands how to use and threaten to use military force.

00:18:51.640 And I think the Koreans figured out, you know, maybe we're up against somebody who's not a pushover, 0.96

00:18:57.380 who isn't feckless, who isn't riddled with self-doubt.

00:19:00.640 Right. 0.67

00:19:01.260 Who's maybe a little crazy.

00:19:04.020 Maybe we ought to rethink this whole thing and get the best deal we can.

00:19:08.340 Look, you've got to go back.

00:19:09.680 I tried to tell somebody this today.

00:19:11.980 Leapfrog backward over Obama.

00:19:13.600 If you remember, I know you remember, and for the audience a question,

00:19:17.440 remember when George W. Bush was caught on a hot mic talking to Tony Blair about North Korea

00:19:23.100 and they caught Bush saying to Tony Blair, you've got to tell China to tell him to stop the

00:19:27.160 and he was caught saying, and he knew that.

00:19:31.060 Every president knew that.

00:19:32.520 Trump is the first one to put the screws to China with terrorists to get him to tell North Korea

00:19:37.100 to stop the.

00:19:38.020 Yeah, I mean, there are a lot of means to exercise power.

00:19:44.480 And Trump uses, Trump's serious about, it's not a game to him.

00:19:48.240 Right.

00:19:48.380 In the same way, it's a game to a lot of these professional, you know, establishment types.

00:19:53.260 And he's making real change for people.

00:19:56.480 You know, according to at least one poll, Trump's at 50-49 approval.

00:20:00.720 And when I read these polls, and I love when a lot of these Fredo cons on the left says to me,

00:20:05.080 you don't understand weighting in polls.

00:20:07.140 I ran a data company.

00:20:08.640 I understand data polling weighting better than any of them.

00:20:12.000 And I look at these polls, and even with the weighting, the way the weighting is done is flawed.

00:20:17.420 The sampling methodology is flawed.

00:20:19.640 It's based on a 2012 Obama-esque model.

00:20:22.940 If these polls accurately represented the population and accounted for weighting in that respect,

00:20:27.940 Trump would be consistently around 55 to 60.

00:20:31.100 You know, again, and we're back to it, Trump is not the example a lot of Americans are going to use for their personal life. 0.85

00:20:42.980 He's a flawed human being.

00:20:44.440 We all are.

00:20:45.320 His are just on stage.

00:20:47.700 But I'm a grown man, and I understand that.

00:20:53.260 And I'm willing to make a choice.

00:20:57.460 Evan McMullin is not a choice.

00:20:59.200 It's saying nobody is not a choice.

00:21:01.460 That's right.

00:21:02.340 Some random first-party libertarian.

00:21:04.920 And if you want to tell me I'm immoral, go ahead and tell me.

00:21:07.640 I don't care how to laugh at you, but go ahead.

00:21:09.920 You know what?

00:21:10.300 I'd rather be called immoral, knowing I'm not, and win, than be called a pure conservative

00:21:16.060 and bang my fist on a table complaining about Hillary and reading National Review and the Weekly Standard while doing so.

00:21:22.420 I would much rather you call me immoral while we keep winning. 0.57

00:21:26.480 Look, I'm willing to take the hit.

00:21:30.020 You know, and look, guys like you and me are not going to be appreciated.

00:21:33.160 The guys who supported Trump in 20 years, these guys, because we're going to go back to living normal lives, 0.99

00:21:38.980 these guys are still going to be parasites. 0.98

00:21:40.900 They're going to be talking about how horrible we are while they're living off the corpse of America that Donald Trump, 1.00

00:21:46.500 you know, that was healthy before.

00:21:48.840 You know what also drives them crazy, though, Kurt?

00:21:53.600 Let's be realistic about what also drives them crazy.

00:21:56.180 You and I were never supposed to have the brands we do.

00:22:00.220 We never followed the traditional model, and we never went and we kissed.

00:22:03.420 We never kissed the William F. Buckley and Bill Kristol ring and got approval from the Jonah Goldbergs and the Bill Kristols,

00:22:10.460 and we never got our heads patted, and we were never knighted by them, allowed into the conservative activism,

00:22:17.860 journalism, reporting movement, blogging movement, what have you.

00:22:21.320 So we were never supposed to be here.

00:22:24.120 We're not supposed to be here.

00:22:25.380 The fact that we're—

00:22:26.020 Don't you feel this—because I'm in Los Angeles, you're in Florida,

00:22:29.760 don't you feel this—when you're dealing with some of these people,

00:22:32.360 don't you feel a little bit of a, who are you? 0.90

00:22:34.820 I mean, I get this attitude from frickin' millennials. 0.93

00:22:37.480 Yep. 0.52

00:22:38.000 I got an attitude from a millennial earlier today who, you know,

00:22:41.900 was not even born when I was an actual active conservative.

00:22:45.920 Right.

00:22:46.300 And I'm getting conservative lessons from Punky Brewster.

00:22:50.020 You know what bothers them even more?

00:22:52.760 They claim to want to be intellectuals.

00:22:56.020 But you and I now, and I hate to say this this way because it sounds a little bit—

00:22:59.620 It sounds a little, you know, a little hokey,

00:23:02.220 but you and I are more famous than most of them now.

00:23:04.980 We make better money than most of them now doing what we do.

00:23:07.920 They can't handle this because we were never supposed—

00:23:11.040 This was not the way it was supposed to be.

00:23:12.440 We aren't supposed to be there.

00:23:13.980 And they don't like our resumes.

00:23:15.720 You were a cop.

00:23:16.460 I was a soldier.

00:23:17.280 I'm a lawyer.

00:23:17.860 That's right.

00:23:18.160 You know, you ran an actual company.

00:23:20.160 And most of them, you know, did their four-year degree,

00:23:22.840 then got a master's of French literature,

00:23:24.640 and then did an internship at Weekly Standard,

00:23:27.660 and now they're writing for Free Beacon.

00:23:30.000 That's right.

00:23:30.520 I'm supposed to listen to them. 1.00

00:23:32.080 I want to let them park my damn car. 1.00

00:23:34.260 And you know my car. 1.00

00:23:35.340 It's a very nice car.

00:23:36.320 It's a nice car.

00:23:37.200 And I'll tell you what else.

00:23:38.540 There are a couple of particularly insufferable Never Trumpers

00:23:44.160 who have the Free Beacon.

00:23:45.620 One in particular who's threatened me, threatened me.

00:23:49.580 He's a great investigative journalist, and he's going to expose me.

00:23:52.800 I said, expose what?

00:23:53.860 Is that gopher?

00:23:55.100 What's that?

00:23:55.840 Is that gopher?

00:23:57.380 I think we're talking about the same guy.

00:23:59.340 He's—yeah.

00:24:00.200 Yeah, I think we are.

00:24:01.320 He's kind of a fuzzy little guy.

00:24:02.700 Yeah.

00:24:03.240 Yeah.

00:24:03.480 I just—you know, dude.

00:24:05.600 I mean, it's just—what's your beef?

00:24:08.440 I get so—I mean, I get so much grief about how I'm immoral and terrible.

00:24:12.120 And all I'm thinking is, I'm getting a lot of attitudes by people I didn't see,

00:24:15.960 you know, over in Kosovo when I was, you know, serving our country,

00:24:19.320 or over in Desert Storm.

00:24:20.840 I mean, a lot of attitude about people telling me what my morals are

00:24:24.180 when I'm out there doing it, and they're here tweeting it.

00:24:27.520 It's terrible.

00:24:28.360 Hey, Kurt, let's switch gears and talk a little bit about fake news.

00:24:30.620 Now, a friend of both of ours, Ryan Saavedra, he writes for Daily Wire,

00:24:33.600 Ben Shapiro's site.

00:24:34.540 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:24:35.180 Ryan's a good guy.

00:24:35.900 He put out a tweet a little while ago, actually, as we've been chatting here.

00:24:40.320 But NBC News—he put out four bullet points.

00:24:43.440 It's great.

00:24:43.840 Here's what Ryan tweeted.

00:24:45.260 NBC News falsely reported Trump's lawyer was wiretapped.

00:24:48.540 CNN falsely reported Trump's son colluded with WikiLeaks.

00:24:51.600 ABC News falsely reported Trump told Flynn to meet with Russians during the campaign.

00:24:55.960 Bloomberg falsely reported Mueller issued subpoena targeting Trump allies.

00:25:01.240 I mean, the list goes on and on.

00:25:02.840 And today, around 2 p.m. Eastern, 2.30 Eastern,

00:25:05.500 I watched Sarah Huckabee Sanders' White House press briefing live.

00:25:09.920 The questions she was being asked illustrated, perfectly highlighted,

00:25:14.640 why America hates the mainstream media.

00:25:18.900 Of course they do. 0.98

00:25:20.420 I mean, it's ridiculous. 0.94

00:25:23.040 These guys, you know, they want the honor and recognition 0.93

00:25:27.280 that comes from an accomplished priestly class of neutral truth-tellers.

00:25:33.900 They want that kind of honor and reverence that would maybe be appropriate

00:25:37.800 for professional truth-tellers who dug in and didn't care whose toes they stepped on,

00:25:42.860 except they don't want to actually do the hard work, confident or neutral.

00:25:47.380 They want the respect, but they don't want to actually do the hard stuff,

00:25:53.380 which means saying things that maybe are going to hurt your political allies,

00:25:58.180 doing hard digging to find the truth.

00:26:01.000 They don't want to do that.

00:26:01.940 They want no part of that.

00:26:03.660 And they can't have it.

00:26:05.040 They want no part of that.

00:26:06.720 And if the, you know, I had a reporter, I was talking to somebody today,

00:26:10.220 the Broward County Schools Chief still can't tell anybody where $800 million

00:26:15.080 in a bond appropriation went.

00:26:17.180 $100 million was supposed to go to schools like Stoneman Douglas for security.

00:26:20.740 When I called that guy out, he blocked me on Twitter.

00:26:22.780 I asked a reporter down here,

00:26:24.120 why aren't you hot on the trail of this $800 million?

00:26:28.840 You know what she said to me?

00:26:30.480 She said, this is Broward County.

00:26:32.640 It's blue.

00:26:33.620 If I were to go after a black Democrat who was friends with Obama and Arnie Duncan,

00:26:38.760 how long do you think I'd be employed here?

00:26:41.660 That's- 1.00

00:26:42.160 The media is garbage. 1.00

00:26:44.140 Yep. 1.00

00:26:44.460 It's garbage. 1.00

00:26:45.380 And we all know it. 1.00

00:26:46.220 And that makes them mad too.

00:26:47.940 You know, here's the thing, John.

00:26:49.840 Guys like you, guys like me,

00:26:51.220 we don't respect our betters.

00:26:54.100 We don't-

00:26:54.500 That's right.

00:26:54.780 We're not impressed by them.

00:26:57.680 You and I laugh at them all the time.

00:26:59.160 Well, I'll be driving home in my fine, fine automobile.

00:27:01.940 I'll give you a call. 0.98

00:27:02.900 And we'll just start laughing about these clowns. 0.99

00:27:04.880 And they hate that. 0.99

00:27:06.080 They do.

00:27:06.360 Because it's so much of their self-image to be our superiors.

00:27:10.440 And they're not.

00:27:11.800 To manifestly our inferiors. 0.74

00:27:14.200 And we've literally taken sledgehammers to their veneers of austerity on social media.

00:27:19.440 Both of us have.

00:27:20.200 They don't know how to handle that.

00:27:22.080 Because they're so used to being considered intellectual giants and thought leaders.

00:27:27.260 Meanwhile, Kanye West has done more to advance the national dialogue in two weeks than these

00:27:31.840 thought leaders have done in two decades.

00:27:34.120 Exactly.

00:27:35.200 And, you know, Kanye West is not even a conservative.

00:27:38.400 He's a liberal guy.

00:27:39.840 And I don't care.

00:27:41.060 I'm going to think how I want.

00:27:43.220 And we can't even handle that.

00:27:45.020 It's hilarious.

00:27:47.040 I like how you called him Kanye West.

00:27:48.480 You were a big Conway.

00:27:49.620 You were a big Conway Twitty.

00:27:51.160 It's Conway Twitty rapping.

00:27:53.680 His hair was epic.

00:27:54.460 I literally heard a Kanye song.

00:27:56.260 I might have to do Conway Twitty for Halloween one year.

00:27:59.420 His hair was just incredible.

00:28:00.860 He was spectacular.

00:28:02.420 He's just a fabulous, fabulous look.

00:28:04.700 Fabulous look.

00:28:05.920 Kurt, as always a pleasure, my friend.

00:28:07.540 And you can catch Kurt's show here on The Rebel.

00:28:10.340 It's every Thursday, correct?

00:28:11.900 That's right.

00:28:12.900 Every Thursday.

00:28:13.520 And it's really awesome.

00:28:14.300 You guys, if you haven't checked it out, check it out.

00:28:16.100 Kurt Schlichter.

00:28:16.680 Always a pleasure, my friend.

00:28:18.000 Thanks for having me.

00:28:18.840 Sometimes a story comes along in a sea of really negative news that makes me really, really happy.

00:28:36.340 And so was the case when my good friend and our fellow rebel, Amanda Head, sent me a story how California Governor Jerry Brown's home, well, it had been, I don't know, occupied by a dreamer.

00:28:50.640 Someone just looking for a better life.

00:28:52.360 Someone who wanted to do the jobs Americans just don't want to do.

00:28:56.860 Amanda, tell us about this, I don't know, let's call it a glorious event.

00:29:01.680 It's a beautiful sight.

00:29:03.100 You know how the immigration activists tell us these migrants, this migrant caravan lining up on the border is a quote unquote beautiful sight.

00:29:09.140 Jeb Bush told us an act of love.

00:29:11.060 Tell us about this beautiful act of love that happened in Governor Jerry Brown's house.

00:29:16.600 So, you know, we as conservatives, especially when we're talking to people in the context of illegal immigration and open borders, a lot of us oftentimes use the analogy of, well, you know, you wouldn't leave your car unlocked or your house unlocked.

00:29:31.240 You have to be able to protect what's yours.

00:29:33.400 So a lot of us use that analogy when talking to people about the preposterous nature of just allowing illegals to flood over the border.

00:29:42.020 Well, what happened here in California last week is, I mean, it just completely plays into our hand because a homeless guy, his name is Stephen Seeley.

00:29:53.080 He's 51 years old, made his way into Governor Jerry Brown's home because, as he said.

00:30:00.760 Amanda, can you do me a favor on my show and use the proper terms?

00:30:04.920 You're talking about an unresidented citizen, correct?

00:30:08.320 It actually doesn't talk about his immigration status.

00:30:11.300 No, no, no, not immigration, an unresidented citizen.

00:30:13.780 He's a citizen without residence. 0.85

00:30:15.240 Oh, let's call him an unresidented person. 0.59

00:30:17.700 I prefer the term hobo or squatter. 0.70

00:30:21.820 How about wino?

00:30:23.060 Can we say wino?

00:30:24.780 Maybe. 0.98

00:30:25.600 He might be a meth head.

00:30:27.880 We don't know.

00:30:28.980 It's probably, what is that stuff that that rapper used to drink?

00:30:34.180 Oh, Cezira, a purple drink.

00:30:37.340 Cezira, yeah.

00:30:38.400 NyQuil or no.

00:30:40.280 Codeine.

00:30:41.020 Codeine and NyQuil.

00:30:41.980 Yeah, NyQuil, Codeine and a little Kool-Aid or something.

00:30:44.200 Cezira.

00:30:44.480 So I'm sure this guy doesn't have a prescription for coding, so it's probably NyQuil.

00:30:48.440 But anyway, his name is Stephen Seeley.

00:30:50.080 He's 51 years old, and he broke into the governor's mansion because, as he said,

00:30:55.620 Governor Jerry Brown seems like an open-door kind of guy.

00:30:59.160 Right?

00:31:00.160 Okay, so there's no problem, right?

00:31:01.540 Jerry Brown embraced him.

00:31:02.980 Jerry Brown, I would guess, gave him free health care, gave him a benefits check.

00:31:07.240 Absolutely.

00:31:07.920 Gave him tuition, right?

00:31:09.460 If he wanted to go back to school, gave him free tuition and a place to stay.

00:31:11.840 And I was thinking about this yesterday, and I'm like,

00:31:14.200 this actually, I mean, this, I love it, but it puts Jerry Brown in a really uncomfortable situation

00:31:19.000 because he has two choices.

00:31:20.200 He can either, you know, continue on with this ridiculous narrative that he has that

00:31:26.400 California is open arms and open borders and open everything, and he can say,

00:31:31.300 okay, well, I'm going to pay for this guy to get an apartment.

00:31:34.540 So he can do that.

00:31:35.500 But then how many people are going to come after that and say, okay, I want one too.

00:31:38.740 Do I just have to break into your home?

00:31:40.740 Or does he fess up to the fact that keeping locks on our doors and security at our border

00:31:48.000 is actually what we ought to be doing?

00:31:50.440 Now, here in California, our immigration issues, you know, are off the charts.

00:31:55.720 We've got, I think, the latest I heard, 2.9 million illegal immigrants.

00:32:00.540 It costs us over $10 billion a year, and yet Jerry Brown is still in love with the idea

00:32:07.280 of allowing our borders to just be flooded across.

00:32:10.580 Now, John, you know about 50% of federal sentences, federal crimes take place on or

00:32:16.680 near the border.

00:32:17.480 So obviously the border is an issue.

00:32:19.500 The wall is an issue, considering 50% of those crimes could be shut down or come close

00:32:25.560 to shut down if we actually had a wall.

00:32:27.340 That seems to help that argument.

00:32:29.380 But Jerry Brown, of course, is not in favor of that.

00:32:31.340 But then on top of that, we've got, what is it called?

00:32:35.460 SB 174.

00:32:37.360 Our state senator, Ricardo Lara, introduced legislation a couple weeks ago that would allow

00:32:43.000 illegal immigrants in the state of California to serve on state and local boards.

00:32:48.440 So not only are we-

00:32:49.380 And that state legislator's first name is Retardo?

00:32:53.240 I think that's what you said.

00:32:54.920 So Mr. Ricardo-

00:32:59.020 Ricardo, sorry, sorry, Ms. Herdian, my earbud, yeah.

00:33:01.980 Not only wants illegals to be able to come into our state, soak up our resources, but 1.00

00:33:06.920 now he also wants them to actually influence policy.

00:33:10.020 Oh, of course they do.

00:33:10.920 Look, these are all the people who are funded by La Raza via, you know, funded by George

00:33:16.180 Soros, I should say, really, right? 0.87

00:33:18.040 Via groups like La Raza, Pueblos Infanteras, all of these illegal immigrant groups. 0.99

00:33:22.160 You know, Amanda, yesterday I was talking to somebody and I posited that we should be

00:33:26.940 charging the people who run La Raza, the people who run Pueblos Infanteras, especially

00:33:31.920 that guy, forget his name, the one who essentially, you know, acted like the band leader and marched

00:33:36.780 that illegal alien caravan up to the U.S., we should be charging them with federal criminal 1.00

00:33:41.600 conspiracies.

00:33:42.220 They should be charged, under the RICO statute, every bit as much as a drug lord, every bit

00:33:47.180 as much as a mob boss.

00:33:48.660 They are engaging in wholesale organized criminal activity when it comes to violating our immigration

00:33:53.920 law.

00:33:54.540 Absolutely.

00:33:55.100 And I'm not buying this narrative of, you know, that these people who are coming in this

00:33:59.180 caravan are weak and broken and scared.

00:34:02.280 They're all guys.

00:34:03.080 Weak and broken and scared.

00:34:04.940 Come into a country looking broken, weak and scared.

00:34:08.260 They don't come here with picket signs demanding that we cater to their safety.

00:34:13.380 Well, that's right.

00:34:14.260 I mean, first of all, this bar for asylum is way too low.

00:34:18.540 It's way too low.

00:34:19.840 The way it exists now is essentially if you come from a whole nation, our immigration officials 0.99

00:34:25.800 essentially say, yeah, your country sucks.

00:34:28.000 You might be persecuted if you go back. 0.99

00:34:29.680 Come on in. 0.99

00:34:30.200 That's ridiculous. 0.99

00:34:31.620 That's ridiculous. 0.98

00:34:32.520 But you know what bothers me when Americans 200 and some odd years ago decided that they 0.97

00:34:38.940 were being oppressed by King George?

00:34:40.800 They didn't move to Canada.

00:34:42.160 They picked up guns and they shot back.

00:34:45.240 What is wrong with these people in their countries? 0.80

00:34:48.140 They won't fight for their own nation.

00:34:50.080 And I think that's really what strikes at the heart of Americans.

00:34:52.880 I mean, even in the Civil War, the South, your hometown, the Confederacy felt this is our

00:34:58.640 part of America.

00:34:59.340 We're going to fight for it.

00:35:01.040 Right?

00:35:01.460 We're going to fight for it.

00:35:02.260 It wasn't about slavery entirely.

00:35:04.380 That was part of it.

00:35:05.120 But it was really about heritage, fighting for a way of life, fighting for heritage.

00:35:09.460 What is wrong with these people where they flee their country, abandon it, and then expect 1.00

00:35:15.500 us to be the welfare check?

00:35:18.540 It's that preschool mentality.

00:35:22.160 And you can't have it both ways.

00:35:24.660 Democrats were so just utterly appalled and incredulous when Donald Trump called Haiti an

00:35:31.240 s-hole. 0.96

00:35:32.240 And now they're talking about how conditions are so bad in the countries where these people

00:35:35.860 are coming from because they are s-holes, right? 1.00

00:35:38.620 Yeah.

00:35:39.440 Listen, a good friend of mine does a lot of business in Haiti, a guy down here in South

00:35:43.340 Florida.

00:35:43.920 He deals with Haitian officials, Haitian military.

00:35:47.360 Do you know they were cheering what Donald Trump said down there?

00:35:50.100 They said, finally, the world might pay attention.

00:35:52.200 I mean, Donald Trump is right.

00:35:54.360 Now we're on the U.S.'s radar.

00:35:56.300 Look at our nation.

00:35:57.100 He's 100% right.

00:35:58.520 What are we going to do about it?

00:35:59.680 And they put it on the people of Haiti. 0.98

00:36:01.440 Oh, yeah.

00:36:01.760 One of my old roommates when I lived in West Hollywood is Haitian-American.

00:36:06.700 Her mother was born in Haiti.

00:36:08.400 And she is like one of the staunchest Donald Trump supporters ever since that statement.

00:36:12.500 You know that Haitians in South Florida, Miami-Dade in particular, voted for Donald Trump, I think

00:36:17.720 it was at a rate 38% higher than they did for Barack Obama.

00:36:21.220 They were a reason.

00:36:22.580 They were one of the reasons why Donald Trump ultimately won the state of Florida.

00:36:26.360 Yeah.

00:36:26.920 Yeah.

00:36:27.820 That's what happens when you have someone who speaks the truth about things instead of glazing

00:36:31.840 over them and pacifying people.

00:36:33.760 Well, right.

00:36:34.220 That's exactly it.

00:36:35.420 So how is this situation in Jerry Brown's house adjudicating?

00:36:38.400 Is there any resolution on this yet?

00:36:39.640 Are they having the guy arrested?

00:36:41.160 Is it going to court?

00:36:41.800 What's going on?

00:36:42.500 I think he was charged with, let's see, I think he was just charged with trespassing.

00:36:48.580 I think they had a little bit of sympathy for him because he claimed that he saw wild

00:36:54.560 animals, lions and cougars on the streets of Sacramento.

00:36:59.000 And so he walked or he broke into the home of Jerry Brown to alert his security detail

00:37:04.540 because he knew they had big guns.

00:37:07.240 Wow.

00:37:07.980 Wow.

00:37:08.780 You know what would be even funnier about this story is that if he actually did see lions

00:37:12.280 and cougars and nobody believed them on the streets of Sacramento, the poor guy, and he

00:37:16.200 was really warning the governor and everybody just thought he was some crazy dude, they locked

00:37:19.980 him up for it.

00:37:21.100 That would be a real travesty.

00:37:22.820 If they found out after the fact that some animal sanctuary or something had.

00:37:27.640 Right.

00:37:27.980 Right.

00:37:28.160 And like 14 people were then mauled by lions and cougars and nobody listened to this poor

00:37:31.820 guy because they were just worried about locking him up.

00:37:34.120 I didn't care if people were mauled by lions and tigers and bears, am I?

00:37:37.020 All right.

00:37:37.500 Let's switch gears to an even creepier place.

00:37:40.240 Women are now coming out of the woodwork claiming that Tom Brokaw was a serial sexual

00:37:44.440 harasser while at NBC.

00:37:46.980 This to me is so bizarre.

00:37:49.000 And now we're seeing stories that there were like these cabals within NBC forcing women

00:37:54.440 to sign letters in support of Tom Brokaw up until like 25 minutes ago.

00:37:59.200 I mean, it's really, really bad.

00:38:00.660 What's going on over there?

00:38:01.440 So the first two allegations, these two women joined forces and published an article, I think

00:38:07.080 in the New York Times a couple of weeks ago, saying that they had been victims of unwanted

00:38:12.840 touching and sexual advances and such.

00:38:15.000 Now, this happened allegedly, I think, in 1992.

00:38:17.720 So in the 90s.

00:38:18.260 So not that long ago.

00:38:20.360 But a third woman has come out with allegations similar to the nature of the first two from

00:38:26.040 1968.

00:38:28.220 Now, I am.

00:38:29.480 I am.

00:38:29.940 I am not a fan of Tom Brokaw.

00:38:33.500 This is a guy that said that liberal bias.

00:38:35.040 Yeah, coming out 50 years later.

00:38:37.200 Come on.

00:38:38.200 Yeah, this is a guy who said that liberal bias is an obligation of the media.

00:38:42.680 Right.

00:38:42.860 But, Alec, really, like, is there no statute of limitations on this type of stuff?

00:38:49.620 Like, you can just come out and basically say anything.

00:38:51.580 Well, there is, right, in terms of litigation and criminal charges, certainly.

00:38:55.760 Right.

00:38:56.080 But as far as the court of public opinion?

00:38:58.080 No.

00:38:58.780 Right.

00:38:58.980 There's not.

00:38:59.420 I mean, look, there should be, right?

00:39:00.560 I mean, you and I are barometers of that right now.

00:39:03.500 We are staunch conservatives.

00:39:04.580 We don't agree with the thing Tom Brokaw says.

00:39:06.240 But no, I'm not going to give a half a century old allegation on this guy any credence whatsoever.

00:39:11.560 No, and, you know, these, I think it was 60 women who came together and signed a letter basically defending his honor.

00:39:22.540 I don't know the validity of that.

00:39:24.180 Let me ask you this.

00:39:25.180 Let me ask you this.

00:39:25.200 They said they felt forced.

00:39:26.160 But when you read the allegations against Brokaw, one woman said that he came up behind her and tickled her.

00:39:33.420 Now, in one context, that could be really creepy.

00:39:36.740 In another, it's not Harvey Weinstein-esque.

00:39:40.940 You know, this is somebody you work with every day and you have a friendly rapport and a friendly banter and it's a little frenetic in the newsroom.

00:39:46.880 And you come up behind them and you're like, hey, how you doing?

00:39:48.660 And you run your, I mean, maybe it's inappropriate.

00:39:50.740 But does that rise to the level of sexual harassment that should cost somebody their job or jail time?

00:39:57.180 No, even in the context of it being creepy and inappropriate.

00:40:01.380 And this is something that Matt Damon got almost excommunicated from Hollywood for when he said that there are degrees of this type of stuff.

00:40:09.100 Let me just say, as a woman, if a drunk guy at an office party or a bar, a bar, someone I don't know, if a drunk guy walks up to me and squeezes my waist or slaps my butt or something like that, yeah, it's gross and it's weird and I would probably throw my drink at him.

00:40:26.680 But the emotional repercussions that I would suffer from that are almost nonexistent compared to the emotional repercussions that I would suffer from something like sexual assault or rape.

00:40:37.300 So bringing up these tiny instances of, you know, someone tickling you, that muddies the water of people who have legitimate concerns and complaints.

00:40:49.000 I agree. Look, I've always said that.

00:40:50.420 I've always said that people who cry wolf do a real disservice to true victims.

00:40:55.260 Number one, they desensitize the public to it with these frivolous allegations, if they're frivolous.

00:41:00.900 Number two, they tie up law enforcement and criminal justice system resources when they can be deployed, when they could otherwise be deployed to go after the real bad guys.

00:41:11.480 And that's the problem, right?

00:41:13.540 1992, somebody said he tickled them.

00:41:16.340 It could have been construed in many, many ways.

00:41:18.480 What's one person's inappropriate is another's, hey, that's my buddy, you know, joking around with me.

00:41:23.320 And then a 50-year-old allegation, that shouldn't even be factored in to the totality of the circumstances.

00:41:29.960 It shouldn't. And honestly, tickling, like, I'd be more pissed off if somebody walked by me and crop-dusted me.

00:41:35.060 Tickling is not a big deal.

00:41:36.660 Yeah. I was actually ready to file a complaint against you when you didn't order a second round of shots last time we were in D.C.

00:41:42.280 When I did or didn't?

00:41:43.300 When you didn't.

00:41:44.680 Maybe you did, and I just forgot because I had two rounds prior.

00:41:46.820 Maybe I didn't order the second round, but I probably ordered the fifth and sixth round.

00:41:50.500 Yeah, that's pretty true. I think you did that.

00:41:52.500 But no, seriously, I don't like these frivolous allegations.

00:41:55.700 Now, look, when we hear about what Matt Lauer did, that's a little different.

00:41:59.120 That's like trapping someone in his office with a hidden buzzer. 0.76

00:42:02.540 Okay, that's a special kind of weirdo.

00:42:05.240 That warranted the action taken. 0.79

00:42:07.360 Harvey Weinstein should be spending the rest of his life in a jail cell.

00:42:11.180 Roy Polanski should be in a jail cell for the rest of his life.

00:42:14.240 But I don't know, tickling somebody outside the clothing.

00:42:17.560 Maybe they, you know, we don't know if she was flirting with him.

00:42:20.180 We don't know if they had a flirtation going on.

00:42:21.920 We don't know what was going on back then.

00:42:23.760 But, man, to come forward 26 years later, somebody else 50 years later, and no one's

00:42:29.280 really alleging, unless I've missed something, Amanda, no one's really alleging anything from

00:42:33.440 Tom Brokaw beyond that, right?

00:42:35.660 Correct.

00:42:36.360 Yeah.

00:42:36.560 And, you know, it's almost a symptom of our culture in general, this conflation of, you

00:42:43.620 know, degrees of severity.

00:42:45.260 We've seen this.

00:42:46.160 We saw it throughout the 2016 election season with the term racism.

00:42:50.600 People would call someone a racist for something completely innocuous.

00:42:54.540 And now, as a result, when you call someone a racist, it really doesn't even hurt because

00:42:58.960 it's like, wow, that's just that's that's the argument that you resort to when you don't

00:43:03.280 have something substantial to offer.

00:43:05.000 So it's true, though, isn't it that everybody's a racist, a xenophobe.

00:43:08.700 So I guess this makes Jerry Brown a xenophobe, right?

00:43:10.640 Because he's not homeless and he doesn't understand them.

00:43:12.340 I guess his filing charges on the Stephen guy makes him a xenophobe.

00:43:16.300 He's one percent of the one percent. 0.83

00:43:18.440 Jerry Brown's a wealthy man.

00:43:19.500 He was married to Linda Ronstadt, wasn't he?

00:43:21.780 Yeah. 0.99

00:43:22.400 So everybody is a sexual assaulter. 0.93

00:43:28.460 Yeah, because there's no there's no degree of difference between any of those things. 0.98

00:43:32.300 All right.

00:43:32.700 Lastly, because we have to touch on it.

00:43:34.000 I'd be remiss if I didn't.

00:43:34.840 I did it on the show yesterday.

00:43:36.580 The Boy Scouts are no more.

00:43:38.440 They're not the Scouts BSA, the Transgender Scouts of America.

00:43:42.800 Maybe I don't know what is going on here.

00:43:45.080 Were you a Girl Scout?

00:43:46.380 I was.

00:43:47.200 OK.

00:43:48.100 Isn't this supremely offensive to the Girl Scouts of America?

00:43:51.900 Isn't this try to poach their membership?

00:43:54.500 Or is this really designed for transgenderism? 0.99

00:43:56.880 As a Girl Scout, it's disgusting. 0.98

00:43:58.620 My brother was a Boy Scout and he became an Eagle Scout.

00:44:02.900 Two of my girlfriends from Auburn live in Orange County.

00:44:05.700 And I actually saw this coming because one of them, her boys are in Boy Scouts in Orange

00:44:09.940 County.

00:44:10.580 And there is a woman who is running.

00:44:12.040 She's a Democrat running for state assembly that demanded that the boy that hurt that 0.99

00:44:16.480 my friend's son's Boy Scout troop allow her daughter to be a part of it.

00:44:20.820 So I actually saw this coming six months ago when that happened.

00:44:23.220 But it's disgusting.

00:44:24.040 And there is something there's something so healthy and and enriching about young boys hanging

00:44:31.580 out together and learning.

00:44:33.020 And it's the way you become a normal guy.

00:44:36.280 Yeah.

00:44:36.440 I hung out with the same guy.

00:44:37.940 Look, Amanda.

00:44:39.580 Learning how to tie knots.

00:44:41.120 Like things like that.

00:44:42.080 And even in Girl Scouts, we did we did similar things.

00:44:45.500 And when you take that away and when you when you smash everyone together and, you know,

00:44:50.340 what are you going to do when you go off to to 4-H camp together?

00:44:53.680 Or excuse me, Boy Scouts.

00:44:54.540 You know, you know what this is about.

00:44:55.860 This isn't about boys.

00:44:56.840 And you're really offended at this.

00:44:57.920 You're more are you more offended at this or would you be more offended if I bought you

00:45:00.540 a Roll Tide sweatshirt?

00:45:02.440 This.

00:45:03.020 Shockingly.

00:45:04.100 Yeah.

00:45:04.720 Now, listen, this is this is all about destroying traditionalism.

00:45:10.100 This is all about eradicating traditional gender roles.

00:45:13.500 But really, the most sinister part of this agenda is about telling little boys, you're 1.00

00:45:18.000 a terrible fledgling rapist. 1.00

00:45:20.440 You are toxic. 1.00

00:45:22.400 Your masculinity is toxic. 1.00

00:45:23.740 How dare you have been born a boy? 1.00

00:45:26.360 You're probably a racist and a xenophobe as well. 1.00

00:45:29.320 You're most definitely a misogynist. 1.00

00:45:31.840 Yeah. 0.99

00:45:32.580 Therefore, we need to completely emasculate you and bring you down to the same level as 0.99

00:45:38.160 everybody else.

00:45:38.760 Even that kid who doesn't know what they are.

00:45:41.280 And here's my last point.

00:45:44.380 Liberals despise the one percent unless it's the one percent of society that doesn't know

00:45:49.240 what gender they are.

00:45:50.180 Then that one percent is to be celebrated and everything is supposed to be done for them.

00:45:53.520 This, to me, is infuriating.

00:45:55.660 Yeah, you're ruining, I don't know how, I think the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, I think they were

00:46:01.340 started probably mid, what, 20th century?

00:46:04.420 No, 1908.

00:46:06.320 There have been around 110.

00:46:07.680 Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, I haven't checked.

00:46:10.280 Boy Scouts began in 1908.

00:46:12.160 They've been around 110 years.

00:46:14.220 And Girl Scouts, I should know this because I went to Savannah, Georgia, which is where the

00:46:20.520 founder lived.

00:46:22.120 But I think-

00:46:22.400 Yeah, Girl Scouts came after Boy Scouts.

00:46:25.540 But the reason I'm so fired up about this, it's not specifically this issue.

00:46:30.040 It's the fact that the left can't freaking leave anything alone.

00:46:33.920 They have to ruin everything.

00:46:35.080 They've got to go.

00:46:36.000 But Amanda, this is Alinskyite. 0.93

00:46:39.620 Let's tear down the most basic cultural institutions.

00:46:43.400 Let's strike at the heart of Americanism, traditionalism, Judeo-Christian values. 0.75

00:46:49.720 Let's just take it all away.

00:46:51.500 And what better way to chip away at it than starting with the kids and their organizations?

00:46:56.160 Well, I just hope that the free market prevails here and that someone comes up with some type

00:47:00.160 of new organization that has two genders who are separate and that it thrives. 0.83

00:47:05.040 Yep.

00:47:05.360 I couldn't agree more.

00:47:06.380 Perfect place to end this.

00:47:07.240 Amanda Head, the Hollywood Conservative, our fellow and most favorite new rebel.

00:47:12.500 Thanks so much.

00:47:13.560 Interesting stuff.

00:47:14.500 Thanks, man.

00:47:14.880 Illegal immigration is up 233% on the southern border. 0.91

00:47:31.760 Now, of course, the left is saying, oh, Donald Trump was a blowhard.

00:47:36.560 He was all rhetoric. 0.93

00:47:37.680 He was all talk.

00:47:38.580 No action during the election.

00:47:39.900 But no, not Donald Trump's fault.

00:47:43.040 This is not me being an apologist for the president.

00:47:45.900 It's the fault of liberal judges.

00:47:48.040 This story from The Washington Times.

00:47:50.360 Now, 75% of those apprehended get catch and release.

00:47:55.540 And because liberal judges keep striking down tough immigration provisions, well, the smugglers

00:48:02.800 and the illegals who want to come here know the game.

00:48:06.460 Last year, nearly 39,000, this is from a Washington Times story, nearly 39,000 illegal immigrants

00:48:12.880 were nabbed by the Border Patrol last month.

00:48:14.860 Last month, the story was written yesterday, May 3rd, so nearly 39,000 were grabbed by the

00:48:21.700 Border Patrol last month, according to preliminary numbers.

00:48:24.760 That's a 233% increase over April of 2017, the biggest year-over-year increase dating back

00:48:34.840 a decade.

00:48:36.140 Now, experts have said the increase is being driven by lax U.S. policies.

00:48:43.160 And illegal immigrants have figured out ways to exploit them. 1.00

00:48:47.400 So with catch and release, now think about this, about 30,000 of the 39,000 nabbed last

00:48:54.220 month are going to be released.

00:48:55.800 And liberal judges continue to let it happen.

00:48:58.880 Democrats want it to happen.

00:49:01.260 Now, Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, the Border Patrol Agents

00:49:06.100 Union, said, quote, the reason is obvious.

00:49:09.000 If you can cross the border illegally without any consequence, why not?

00:49:14.600 As long as the catch and release program policy exists, large numbers of people are going to

00:49:19.420 cross the border illegally.

00:49:20.980 And he estimated, Mr. Judd estimated, that nearly 30,000 of the 39,000 nabbed in April are

00:49:27.820 going to be set free.

00:49:29.280 Now, he went on to say, in, quote, in 2017, and due to the rhetoric, we had fewer apprehensions

00:49:35.540 than any year in the past 45 years.

00:49:39.420 It was simply because people believed that if they crossed the border illegally, they would

00:49:44.320 be held until their deportation hearing.

00:49:47.540 OK, so in 2017, crossings were way down.

00:49:51.920 They believed that Trump was going to pass his agenda.

00:49:54.020 They believed that people were going to that were nabbed crossing the border illegally were

00:49:57.940 going to do jail time or be sent back.

00:49:59.820 They didn't try.

00:50:01.120 But after a year of liberals blocking the president's agenda, Judd, president of the National Border

00:50:07.940 Patrol Council, said, quote, smugglers, quick smugglers quickly realized everything was status

00:50:13.420 quo.

00:50:13.880 And they're once again recruiting people to enter our country illegally. 0.68

00:50:17.920 Now, administration officials have acknowledged that they say they've ended administrative catch

00:50:22.600 and release, which means they no longer have an official policy calling for some classes

00:50:27.140 of illegal aliens to be released automatically.

00:50:29.240 But there's no bed space.

00:50:31.480 There's no detention space.

00:50:33.100 There aren't enough Border Patrol officials.

00:50:35.360 Congress, the neocons, the Democrats, they're still blocking the agenda.

00:50:42.200 Vice President Mike Pence visited the border and he said Congress needs to step up and address

00:50:46.900 this.

00:50:47.920 Vice President Pence said, quote, whether it be the catch and release program or asylum

00:50:52.320 policies that don't require people to stay in the first safe country in which they arrive,

00:50:56.840 meaning Mexico, we're calling on Congress to work with us to bring about change.

00:51:02.800 This is absolutely horrible.

00:51:06.980 Now, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said, quote, if you have an alarm in your home

00:51:11.220 and you catch a burglar and you call the police and the police come, and in fact, it is an

00:51:15.840 illegal entry into your home.

00:51:17.180 But the police then tell you that they have absolutely no ability to detain or remove those

00:51:21.920 criminals and the criminals stay in your house. 0.96

00:51:24.940 You wouldn't tell me that's home security.

00:51:27.540 And she goes on to tell Congress, we, meaning the Department of Homeland Security, we stop

00:51:31.720 people, we interdict them, but we do not have the authority given the loopholes in many

00:51:37.300 cases to detain and remove them.

00:51:40.400 We are forced to release them back into the communities after they have committed crimes.

00:51:46.940 Not Republicans, well, it's not conservatives who want that.

00:51:50.860 You know who wants that?

00:51:51.820 Jeff Flake wants that.

00:51:53.460 Marco Rubio wants that.

00:51:55.360 John McCain wants that.

00:51:57.280 Susan Collins wants that. 0.99

00:51:59.260 Lisa Murkowski wants that. 1.00

00:52:00.360 Murkowski, look, we know the Democrats want this.

00:52:03.640 The Democrats we see coming. 0.87

00:52:05.500 It's the traitors within. 0.97

00:52:06.860 It's the traitors within the Republican and conservative movement. 0.94

00:52:11.720 This is disgraceful.

00:52:13.620 And they go out there in the media, guys like Jeff Flake, an Arizona senator on the Arizona

00:52:18.660 border, telling the world I'm blocking Trump's agenda.

00:52:21.980 He'll never get tough immigration policies.

00:52:24.340 And he opens up Arizona's borders for illegal aliens.

00:52:28.320 This is disgraceful beyond words.

00:52:31.660 Look, the photo on this article should infuriate you.

00:52:35.480 It's the Central American migrants sitting on the border fence that they easily climbed, 1.00

00:52:41.180 waving flags and signs, mocking the United States and mocking Donald Trump.

00:52:46.920 And we're supposed to let these people into our nation and greet them with open arms. 0.99

00:52:51.520 And then you've got moron liberals who volunteer with groups like La Raza and Pueblo Sin Fronteras 0.98

00:52:56.580 who call it a beautiful sight, an act of love, an amazing thing. 0.99

00:53:02.160 This isn't a beautiful sight. 1.00

00:53:03.420 It's a damn invasion. 0.99

00:53:04.580 It's an invasion. 1.00

00:53:07.120 Did France and Holland think the Nazis goose-stepping through their territory was a beautiful sight?

00:53:13.680 No, they were terrified.

00:53:14.960 It was an invasion.

00:53:16.220 We're being invaded by MS-13 gang members, narco-terrorists, Sinaloa cartel traffickers. 0.98

00:53:23.100 These are bad people. 0.98

00:53:25.260 These are bad people. 0.51

00:53:26.540 It's the same narrative when it tells, oh, the Syrian migrants are women and children.

00:53:29.640 No, they're not.

00:53:30.900 They're men of terror age. 0.89

00:53:33.180 They're men, 18 to 45, Muslim men. 1.00

00:53:37.060 This is ridiculous. 0.99

00:53:38.500 But we've gotten it as a country. 0.98

00:53:39.860 And the liberals will not stop.

00:53:41.780 They will not stop until they flood this nation, until they make it less safe, 0.93

00:53:45.520 and until they get these people registered to vote.

00:53:48.800 Because that's all this is about.

00:53:51.240 It's all it's ever been about.

00:53:53.400 A vote schema for Democratic politicians.

00:53:56.720 It's never been about anything but that.

00:53:59.520 Votes for Democrats.

00:54:02.260 All it's ever been about is all it ever will be about.

00:54:05.200 But I'll tell you one thing.

00:54:06.280 If we don't get serious, if we don't get serious, if we don't elect more hardcore conservatives

00:54:11.940 in the midterms, in the midterms, this November, if we don't pick up seats in the House, pick

00:54:16.720 up seats in the Senate, get our supermajority with real conservatives, not like Kurt Schlichter

00:54:21.840 and I called them Fredo Khans, Rhinos, Neocons, the fake conservatives. 0.98

00:54:25.800 If you don't understand why we would say Fredo Khan, Fredo Corleone, the brother and the 0.95

00:54:29.800 godfather who was a traitor, Fredo Khans, if we don't get serious and eliminate all of 0.98

00:54:35.300 these spineless Republicans, man, this country is in very, very big trouble. 0.78

00:54:59.800 Thank you.
