00:00:30.300 oh hey good afternoon good morning everybody depending on which part of this
00:00:53.860 newly unified country that you're in you're watching rebel roundup i'm your host
00:00:57.980 And Sheila Gunn-Reed, if you watched last night's referendum live stream, you'll note, yes, I am in the same clothes.
00:01:04.920 I scarcely slept.
00:01:06.280 Today, I'm joined by my friend, my colleague, my sister from another Mr. Lee Smurl, who is also wearing yesterday's makeup for the same reasons.
00:01:18.580 I'm in yesterday's face.
00:01:21.820 It's a new day, Sheila Gunn-Reed.
00:01:23.740 And we have a lot of things to talk about after last night.
00:01:27.980 referendum, preferendum in Alberta. And I just can't wait to unpick the whole thing.
00:01:35.520 I'm not like everybody who's dooming out on this. And that's because I looked at some of the
00:01:41.860 results when I thought, oh, the referendum's over. Finally, I can sleep in. No, back at her.
00:01:47.920 Because I wanted to know what these results really meant. So we'll drill down on some of those. I'll
00:01:53.440 tell everybody how you can get involved in how you're saying. Thanks to everybody who tuned in
00:01:57.560 last night by the way it was so nice of you yes evening live streams are so good around here thanks

00:02:39.500 it was our buddy our buddy bombed in the text there was it's statler and waldorf look at these
00:02:45.260 these two muppets oh just decreeing from on high yeah it was telling you guys everything we saw
00:02:53.580 always it was it was the whole thing was just so revealing and uh yes way to to get into the you
00:02:59.760 know the fine the fine points uh i will dig down on this and i'll tell you why uh this is just
00:03:07.200 getting started and what i thought would be a day of rest or maybe a half week of rest not even uh
00:03:13.520 nope entirely motivated to keep going and uh anyway uh well i'll tell everybody why there's
00:03:19.420 hope to be had here and real hope not hopium you know um if you're watching us on rumble that's an

00:03:45.900 live version of the show, but you are so impressed with our gumption to keep going this morning
00:03:52.520 after four plus hours of live TV last night and another hour earlier in the day. For me,
00:03:58.800 you can leave a paid comment called a super thanks. So that's it. Let's get into the show.
00:04:04.820 As you know, as the world knows right now, the referendum in Alberta went to the
00:04:13.120 stay side, the remain side at about 75%. Now, here's why I'm not quite dejected yet. And I'll
00:04:24.140 go through this with you guys together. Mark Carney, by the way, he says, let's just show
00:04:30.660 what Mark Carney had to say, because he was not just vote option one, which is stay, but he was
00:04:36.920 also no to no to the nine which were the constitutional and immigration questions
00:04:43.400 all of those passed except for one which was um you know should we take over certain federal
00:04:52.940 programs um and administer them ourselves while keeping the funding and i can't believe people
00:04:59.420 said no to that. Like, why wouldn't we better administer the programs for our own people
00:05:09.920 closer to home? I don't know. Maybe people were confused by it. But Mark Carney, he had
00:05:16.120 this ex post. And anyways, he took a victory lap, but he should have admitted defeat because
00:05:25.740 all those other questions are to fight directly with the federal government right um he says
00:05:31.740 while votes on all questions continue to be tallied tonight's results define on the defining
00:05:37.820 question of separation mean albertans and all canadians will move forward together with a
00:05:41.420 renewed purpose and high ambition whatever that means we're building that future bigger and
00:05:46.940 faster than ever before i'd like to see anything that you've built good sir where where is that
00:05:51.980 pardon yeah canada is securing new trade partners around the world except the one that counts yeah
00:05:58.780 fast tracking major nation building projects in every part of the country except there's
00:06:03.100 no shovels on the in the ground and no in liberal strongholds yeah in liberal strongholds that's
00:06:08.700 where this is happening and unleashing our full potential as a global energy superpower with
00:06:13.020 alberta at its core again we don't have a pipeline approved so let's just cut that out uh canada is
00:06:20.780 so much greater than the sum of its parts, now it is our opportunity to take all that we have
00:06:25.740 been given as Canadians, and we have been given the greatest country in the world, and make our
00:06:31.900 country better for all of us. Do you feel like the country's better? The greatest, what he claims is
00:06:37.400 the greatest country in the world was just responsible for the burning deaths of four
00:06:41.040 young men in Alberta, and that's the greatest country in the world? I think not. I think not.
00:06:48.000 And we've got Danielle Smith saying, I'm pleased to see the initial results from elections. Alberta show widespread support for remaining in Canada. Albertans have voted for a stronger Alberta in a united Canada. Thank you to all Albertans who took the time to vote on these critically important referendum questions. She's going to address Albertans tonight at 6.45.
00:07:10.420 I would love to live react to that with you, Sheila Gunn-Reed, because what Danielle 0.52
00:07:16.040 Smith, like the way she threaded the needle on this and the way, you know, for everybody
00:07:21.600 that dismissed Danielle Smith, just dismissed her, said, you screwed this up. She's gonna
00:07:26.900 let us know tonight exactly how she's gonna go through this.
00:07:31.960 Her position won on 9 of the 10 questions. 1.00
00:07:35.320 Sure did. Sure did. So she's coming with a strong mandate from the people
00:07:40.240 of Alberta. So we'll see what happens. It's going to be real interesting. So here's what
00:07:46.000 I've got a couple of takeaways from this morning, and then I'll get into some of the granular data.
00:07:54.000 And hopefully you folks can let me know what you think in the comments. The absolute smug,
00:08:03.820 boastful gloating and the insults from the establishment types and i expect this garbage 0.98
00:08:10.220 from the ndp and the liberals but to see it from conservative official conservatives yeah them 0.77
00:08:18.460 and the ucp insiders and this is not a condemnation of the premier and there are a lot of good people
00:08:25.460 who work for the ucp but there's a a you know there's like this many but their voices are
00:08:32.580 outsized. And you'll recognize their last names. I'm not going to call them out by name. But if
00:08:39.120 you're on my X, you'll see me talking to them, talking at the maybe putting them down a little
00:08:45.140 bit, but not in the way that they are doing with the option two folks. These people, by all polling,
00:08:56.000 including exit polls are the ucp base if you are calling them stupid you are calling your 1.00
00:09:06.400 base stupid and i that is true dopian it's hillary clinton basket of deplorable stuff 1.00
00:09:13.720 it's fringe extremists and should they have a place in society stuff out of justin trudeau 1.00
00:09:18.920 seeing that come from establishment conservative types turns my stomach these are our fellow
00:09:27.000 albertans who worked their asses off in the bitter cold to not just give us the right to vote on
00:09:34.480 option two but to give the premier the ability to advance those other nine questions your premier
00:09:41.160 my premier the woman that you support good conservative operatives yeah the independence
00:09:48.200 movement gave her that opportunity too so shut your mouths and quit talking down to these people
00:09:54.680 why because come next general election time you need these people you're going to come for these
00:10:01.880 civically engaged people who live for nothing more than to make their province a better place
00:10:09.000 you are going to come to them and not just ask them for their vote but you're going to ask for
00:10:14.120 their donations you're going to ask them to take your lawn signs and then you're going to ask them
00:10:19.400 to volunteer drive their pickup trucks in parades put up those lawn signs all around town door knock
00:10:25.480 for you treat these people with some decency correct and just stop correct but it does show
00:10:35.560 it does show a really contemptuous undercurrent that that that was really laid bare for everybody
00:10:42.840 to see um in the way that the entire system took over the narrative like the entire system
00:10:49.320 um and i'd be real careful about disparaging people for their thoughts on this
00:10:54.440 um people that voted people that voted to to leave canada have genuinely uh
00:11:03.480 well they have they have genuinely huge concerns with the way the country is interacting with the
00:11:11.080 province and to dismiss them to keep dismissing them would be a mistake for any political party
00:11:17.320 there's no political party under the sun that can afford to watch 25 percent to and we're going to
00:11:22.440 talk about this later uh for even greater numbers to peel away from their party so there has to be
00:11:28.040 a meaningful way forward and it can't be like it can't be the jason kenny rachel notley sort of
00:11:36.680 elitist camp driving this conversation okay the the the mutual respect just isn't there 0.97
00:11:45.400 um i've seen them use the word stupid to describe the option two crowd alabama grandma's alabama 0.99
00:11:54.600 grandma's um the 75 that we saw yesterday it's concentrated in the cities yes the divide is much 0.98
00:12:05.800 narrower in rural Alberta. And guess what the UCP needs to win? So the premier has been very careful
00:12:13.320 not to dismiss the people who would vote option two. Maybe her people around her should take
00:12:22.400 the lead from her and follow in her footsteps and watch their mouths. Because at 75%, 0.78
00:12:30.520 that's the high watermark okay that's the high watermark for federalism what that says to me
00:12:39.160 based on the success of eight of the nine questions advanced by the ucp government
00:12:45.720 is that people in this province have faith in their premier to give her one more shot
00:12:52.360 do not blow that but here's the thing if she can't deliver on the other eight questions including
00:12:58.920 the constitutional ones, which are an absolute impossibility without the cooperation of the other
00:13:04.600 provinces, that federalist support is going to bleed off and continue to bleed off. It's not
00:13:09.920 going to go up. It's going to go down. And the NDP in this province went from being an insignificant,
00:13:16.280 quite literal fringe party to forming government in 10 years. Some of that is owing to a fracture
00:13:26.780 of the conservative movement so what i'm saying is watch yourself 10 years is not a long time in
00:13:31.500 politics to build a movement um and and this is just the beginning that's right correct this is
00:13:41.820 just the beginning because even even a a 25 even a 25 on the low end end is an indictment of the
00:13:50.780 federal government in Alberta. 25% of the population ain't nothing. That's saying we're
00:13:56.540 so dissatisfied with your influence, with the ways, the pervasive ways that the libs and the
00:14:03.180 federal government inject themselves into Alberta. That's not nothing. And so, but I don't count her
00:14:10.220 out. I don't count Danielle Smith out. I don't at all. I think she's got a couple more dances in
00:14:15.660 her, and we're going to see what she has to say. For sure. And, you know, the eight questions that
00:14:21.300 won, and technically she did win on question 10, people have faith in her to do this. But if it
00:14:30.740 doesn't get done, that's going to be a real problem, and there's no way they can get those
00:14:35.760 constitutional questions done. I drilled down on some of the data from earlier today, and
00:14:45.140 um it things are changing as they still continue to count the votes but two hours ago okay it
00:14:55.200 two ridings had voted for option two yeah okay so that's rimby rocky mountain house sundry
00:15:04.120 okay with 50 and a half and central peace notley so that's named after grant notley rachel notley's
00:15:12.720 dad. So that is a leave. Those are two leave writings. Okay. Here's why these writings are
00:15:26.520 important. They are deeply conservative writings, deeply UCP writings, deeply federally conservative
00:15:34.900 ridings. And so this is why I'm so sickened by the treatment of these UCP operatives of the
00:15:43.740 independence movement. You don't win those ridings without them. You can't call 50% of the people in
00:15:51.240 Rimby stupid. You can't. You can't call the people of Central Peace Notley stupid or fringe. These 1.00
00:15:59.440 are your people your riding and it gets worse um when you go back a little the most conservative
00:16:07.300 ridings in the province were the closest on this so besides the two that when i looked at this two
00:16:14.320 hours ago now rimby rocky mountain house might go back and forth a little bit yeah but close behind
00:16:19.720 is Drumheller Stetler with 48% for option two. Tabor Warner, which the municipal politicians
00:16:30.180 there got in a tangle with Corey Morgan, they're at 46.5%. Drayton Valley Devon, hard hit by the
00:16:41.600 NDP during the NDP years at 45%. And Olds Didsbury Three Hills, which once elected
00:16:48.560 a separatist MLA many moons ago, that's at almost 45%. So Danielle Smith can say that she is very
00:16:57.380 pleased, as she has said, about the results of the referendum, but it doesn't sound like a lot
00:17:02.340 of people in her heartland are. Isn't that interesting? So I've already heard about,
00:17:08.840 you know, various political operatives that are going to be paying attention to these ridings.
00:17:16.640 For instance, getting people back into the fray that voted to leave and targeting the
00:17:24.760 Forever Canada voters too, to drag them on board, drag them over to the UCP. And that's something
00:17:32.880 that we're going to see flush out over this next year.
00:17:37.700 But that's, it's problematic in some of those rural ridings.
00:17:44.760 And it's why if they want to keep the UCP together,
00:17:51.080 these people have to check themselves before they wreck themselves.
00:17:54.720 They're not helping.
00:17:55.760 You're not helping the premier.
00:17:56.840 Sure. And just to just kind of take this full circle, what the Option 2 people were able to
00:18:14.340 achieve without a party without uh party infrastructure without uh like get out the vote
00:18:24.620 text messaging people which poll they have to go to you know if you're a party member
00:18:29.800 during um or at least an identified voter during a federal election you know you're inundated with
00:18:36.680 the text messages for fundraising and where you can vote and all of that stuff yeah can we count
00:18:41.680 on you can we give you a lawn sign you get constantly those there was almost none of that
00:18:47.280 during this from the uh independent side so what they were able to do um with none of that
00:18:56.480 infrastructure none of that data uh with none of the dark money as ezra talked about last night
00:19:04.160 the federalists ran a multi-million dollar campaign yeah well and and with every resource
00:19:10.000 available to the federal government like just think just think about that having every resource
00:19:16.000 available to the federal government and pushing it towards this issue well and and to the parties
00:19:21.680 themselves the parties themselves could text message their voters the ucp could text message
00:19:27.360 their voters the ndp could text message their voters the liberals could text message their
00:19:32.160 identified voters the cpc could the separatists didn't have that they didn't have the dark money
00:19:37.840 to do it they were up against all the establishment cronies and the media i don't know why i make a
00:19:42.880 distinction there and so what they were able to accomplish was quite remarkable and if they get
00:19:49.680 some of that infrastructure in place i can't wait to see what they do next i i can't either to be
00:19:55.200 completely honest but it does go to show you the length and breadth of reach that these systems
00:20:03.200 can have when they put their heads together and decide to do the thing you know what i mean so
00:20:10.160 why aren't they doing the thing on all of the failing public systems that we keep hearing about
00:20:15.920 why aren't they putting this level of commitment into fixing the problems of canada that's what
00:20:21.200 because they prove they can they just proved they can you know they're they're willing to
00:20:26.080 work across the aisle and work toward this common you know this common strategy or campaign we'll
00:20:32.480 call it do that with the things that are plaguing the country the you know just just for instance
00:20:38.480 the justice system our public institutions are borders for goodness sakes and uh immigration
00:20:44.320 is going to be a really really hot button topic because of the return of um the the first was it
00:20:51.040 the first question on immigration question number one uh yeah um here's on that topic
00:21:00.880 uh some people are doing some pretty decent analysis i believe with the helpful helpful
00:21:06.080 uh use of ai analysis through clode um even like in the immigration stuff 1.00
00:21:16.880 even the cities are fed up i yes correct even the immigrants are fed up
00:21:26.560 So Edmonton, this is from a pollster. One thing I noticed is that despite Edmonton being far 0.98
00:21:39.760 more left-wing than Calgary, it's about as anti-immigration as Calgary. So on the immigration
00:21:45.440 questions um they went like Edmonton itself and Calgary too um those questions were wildly popular
00:21:58.800 once you tell people you know why your school is crowded and there's 40 kids in your kids classroom
00:22:03.720 well you can't get a can't get a family doctor why our health care infrastructure is is struggling
00:22:09.280 you want to know why could be because of the millions and millions of new people that have
00:22:14.500 come in in these last several years yeah so i mean the the cities really carried the day for
00:22:21.300 uh option one but even on those other questions uh cities are living with the fallout
00:22:30.260 well it shows it shows that it sort of shows that it has to get to a crisis point before people will
00:22:40.660 be willing to say anything, you know, for fear of being called a whatever. It takes getting to
00:22:46.780 a crisis point before the public will take a stance on an issue. And that's a real, well,
00:22:54.600 I think that's a detriment to the public. We should be able to talk about these things ahead
00:22:58.640 of time. And because, you know, nobody consented to have our whole country taken over in, you know,
00:23:08.640 just a handful of years nobody nobody consented to that no um just on this topic still just of
00:23:16.540 once you see it you can't unsee it which i think was the line of the night from that was the theme
00:23:21.840 that was the theme sis um let's go uh to the keith wilson it's clip number five when he when we asked
00:23:31.340 what happens if the vote is lost and everybody who is a realist yesterday knew that uh it would
00:23:38.940 go to the federalists it would just be a matter of how much yeah um let's go to that clip please
00:23:47.260 um i was asked at a public meeting in grand prairie a few weeks ago in a q a after i
00:23:52.460 presented and someone said and i was looking out at the audience and they said you know well what
00:23:57.660 happens if we lose on the 19th and i just looked at the audience and all i said was this once you
00:24:04.220 see it you can't unsee it and the solemn way in which three quarters of the audience just went
00:24:11.820 and that's the thing this there those of us who saw this early about how what's going on is
00:24:18.380 unacceptable needs to change and the opportunity to make things so much better build an incredibly
00:24:23.820 prosperous and successful place for our kids and grandkids but so many more now see it and it's
00:24:32.300 just going to continue to grow because it's factually true we're not making something up
00:24:39.100 you know we're not we're not selling anything that other than the truth and the truth is
00:24:44.140 ottawa and canada do not work for alberta and albertans can do better
00:24:48.300 i hope he doesn't stop he can't we're not gonna let him the end the end uh he's a he's a wonderful
00:24:59.740 ambassador for for western freedom i would say in the in the rejection of globalism you know in the
00:25:06.940 in the new world order there are uh there are great many reasons to believe that the people
00:25:14.940 of the west could be doing a better job than the bureaucracy in ottawa and and would do a better
00:25:19.820 job simply because uh we're invested in and love the people here um the people in ottawa don't care
00:25:25.420 about us like they made that abundantly clear they they actually they actually don't care
00:25:32.460 they didn't even they didn't even acknowledge our grievances until we said fine we'll leave
00:25:38.460 Right, right. And yet we're being told that, you know, this new guy, Mark Carney, this new guy is different than the old guy. And the attention, you know, I think that this might be a dangerous spot for Danielle Smith.
00:25:54.860 The attention that she's currently receiving from the federal government can just be turned around and cancelled by the federal government and putting too much trust into a party and into a system that has burned us, the West, from being able to be prosperous, decide our own path.
00:26:15.000 i mean a reckoning is coming a reckoning is coming and um and the west the west alberta
00:26:21.960 saskatchewan um we deserve the very best and we're not getting it out of ottawa and that conversation
00:26:26.840 is not going away um we've got i think this is abacus polling data um olivia it's i posted it
00:26:35.640 from david coletto his tweet um this is they pulled albertans on what they would like our
00:26:45.880 government to focus on to concentrate on yeah and can we can we zoom in on those results olivia
00:26:54.760 because my old eyes can't see it so tiny same thank you thank you so making making everyday
00:27:04.200 life more affordable so inflation is caused by the by the bad decisions of the federal government
00:27:11.880 overspending yes improving health care including wait times and access to families an immigration
00:27:16.680 problem that is an immigration problem responsible by the federal federal government making housing
00:27:21.960 more affordable immigration problem they've been saying that they're going to fix this for how many
00:27:27.480 years now. Growing the economy and creating good jobs. We've been in a stagnant economic position
00:27:34.920 for, well, a decade, like a decade. Getting pipelines built in Alberta's energy to market
00:27:44.100 20%. Okay, if that pipeline doesn't get built, there's going to be a real problem.
00:27:49.480 It's a litmus test for the rest, you guys. For the people of Alberta, that pipeline is the
00:27:54.640 litmus test. If you can get this done, we might believe that you can get the rest done. But if
00:27:59.520 you can't get a simple pipeline built, why are we going to trust you with the economy?
00:28:04.940 Yeah. And let's just scroll down. Only 11% care about the U.S. tariffs in Alberta,
00:28:12.380 which is in stark contrast to the American derangement syndrome that you see in other
00:28:19.380 parts of the country only 11 interesting um balancing the budget and managing provincial
00:28:25.680 debt that is a low thing here because we've had six straight balanced budgets right this
00:28:32.420 we're already delivering on this this would be much greater in other provinces that that aren't
00:28:37.460 so great at budgeting yeah yeah um and um we've got like the independent stuff here um this just
00:28:45.980 shows like how kind of out of whack this polling data is with what came out yesterday. So getting
00:28:52.580 a better deal for Alberta within Canada, only 10% of the respondents cared. But the referendum
00:29:00.380 says 25% or more care. But here's the one, protecting the environment and addressing
00:29:08.860 climate change. Only 6% of Albertans actually care about that stuff. But think about all the
00:29:14.180 taxes and how much of the political establishment in relation to the federal government pushes
00:29:20.780 this stuff on you?
00:29:21.780 It's all related to-
00:29:22.780 When 95% of you don't care.
00:29:24.280 Well, just look up on the list, like just look up on the list.
00:29:28.860 So improving the economy, dealing with budgets and debt, all of this goes back to some of
00:29:39.000 crazier climate-related baloney that's being piped from the federal government direct into
00:29:46.760 the provinces. I think if the true cost of all of these federal initiatives focused on climate
00:29:55.160 were known, at least to the public, we would see some other movement in some of those other numbers.
00:30:01.560 Right. See how much money, I'm so glad you mentioned that, how much money the federal
00:30:07.640 government spends on green initiatives versus how much people actually care at all just think about
00:30:14.280 that they're spending billions and billions and billions and subsidizing industries and then
00:30:19.960 taxing you on the other side for it for something that only six percent of us care about and i bet
00:30:26.200 that number's lower because people just think they're supposed to care about climate change
00:30:30.600 when they really don't because the tv won't shut up about it right correct correct if the true cost
00:30:35.960 was known um i think that people would have a different opinion of that yes um one more thing
00:30:41.880 before we hit an ad break just to button up this topic but i'm sure we'll be talking about it for
00:30:45.640 days to come um from uh it's video number eight uh efron and olivia i love how you're numbering
00:30:53.480 these now i just i feel so like pro professional and spam and fancy right uh it's video number eight
00:31:01.800 and this is the CBC mocking Westerners let's watch let's start with that that
00:31:12.060 question Andrew whether this night is a test of cooperative federalism is is
00:31:18.180 that what people are I'm sure it's not the way they're thinking about the
00:31:21.700 question but is that what we should how we should take the results well that's
00:31:26.040 certainly what one side of the thing of the question would like people to be
00:31:29.920 thinking. They made strenuous efforts in the course of the campaign to say, well, this
00:31:34.080 actually isn't about whether you want to separate. It's just about whether you want to give Alberta
00:31:38.140 more leverage, which is a fairly detestable way to approach federal questions, to say
00:31:44.360 we're going to threaten to blow up the country if we don't get what we want. There's unfortunately
00:31:49.160 past precedent for that in several decades of Quebec federalists and separatists alike
00:31:55.620 using that kind of leverage it's unfortunate that it was allowed to take
00:32:00.380 hold that this idea take hold it's a fundamentally a bluff that is not one
00:32:04.380 that you could ever actually get away with I think you were absolutely right
00:32:07.740 to answer that I actually think Carney would be doing most of this stuff anyway
00:32:12.000 partly for the reasons you stated in terms of the situation Canada's in in
00:32:15.780 the world partly because I think he sees opportunities to for a fairly
00:32:19.860 fundamental realignment in Canadian politics the Liberals are now at 33% in
00:32:23.820 the polls in Alberta, they haven't been that high since 1968. I think they smell blood.
00:32:32.020 Yeah. Althea, what do you think? Is tonight a comment on whether Canada works and whether
00:32:38.220 this kind of federalism works? I think some in the prime minister's office are surely going to
00:32:44.640 read it that way. I'm not sure I actually agree with both you and Andrew on whether or not the
00:32:50.560 Prime Minister would have done every single thing he has done, frankly, to appease some of the
00:32:58.060 concerns that Premier Smith raised with him very early on, even before the last election in the
00:33:06.640 spring of 2025. Like, I'm not sure that the federal government would have ponied up $40 billion
00:33:11.560 to build a new pipeline to the West Coast, for example. But it has been a very interesting,
00:33:17.880 You know, it was neat to hear the former deputy leader talk about the kind of the federal
00:33:24.100 role versus his role in sort of driving the bus, because Ottawa has, in the last few days,
00:33:29.960 we've seen the prime minister do the get out the vote argument, but he has spent the
00:33:34.580 past year and change doing the persuasive argument, both in terms of the policy issues,
00:33:39.880 like getting or indicating that he wouldn't go forward with the oil and gas cap, delaying
00:33:43.820 the methane regulations, getting rid of clean electricity regulations, but also on where he
00:33:47.680 chose not to say anything on Bill 11, for example, which is a breach of the Canada Health Act,
00:33:53.140 or the notwithstanding clause when it came to the labor bill for schools. So it has been
00:33:59.900 an interesting strategy that I think sets kind of the tone for how he may deal with other provinces
00:34:06.260 and I'm thinking of the new PQ government in Quebec. Sure. Aaron? Yeah, I don't know that
00:34:12.960 this on its own can be a measuring stick for cooperative federalism, just like I don't know
00:34:17.460 that even, you know, the complaints that we've heard about how the liberal federal government
00:34:21.300 under Justin Trudeau treated Alberta can necessarily be a test or a measure for whether or not
00:34:27.120 Alberta should stay in the country. You know, the country's fairly old at this point. It has a
00:34:31.680 pretty long track record. I do think, you know, if this is going to test anything, it's going to
00:34:39.520 test, I guess, first of all, what is the actual appetite for separatism in Alberta? Although
00:34:45.800 I'm further to what Andrew said, I'm a little bit hesitant to know whether everyone who votes
00:34:52.280 for option two or who has voted for option two is necessarily looking for an independent Alberta.
00:34:59.040 Polls suggest it's, you know, maybe as little as a third of the people who are looking at voting
00:35:03.660 for option two actually want an independent country. And then I think the second part of
00:35:07.280 is the wisdom of having this referendum in the first place you know in terms of both does this
00:35:13.440 actually settle the question and and then second what are the actual ramifications coming out of
00:35:18.480 this both politically within alberta but then writ large across the country i mean there's no evidence
00:35:24.080 that holding a referendum settles anything right if we look at if we look at the history of i agree
00:35:29.600 with her in this country so andrew i wouldn't expect tomorrow regardless of the outcome that
00:35:35.040 that this is the end of a conversation about how some Albertans feel in the country?
00:35:40.800 Well, I think that remains to be seen.
00:35:43.360 The only reason we're having this referendum,
00:35:45.280 remember, nobody got a mandate to hold this referendum.
00:35:49.460 Daniel Smith held it to basically save her job at the top of the UCP,
00:35:53.540 the United Conservative Party.
00:35:54.600 The United Conservative Party, largely because,
00:35:57.820 for the same reason that other parties face this trouble,
00:36:00.840 they're kind of waiting for interest to take them over.
00:36:04.880 And in this case, the interests were separatists who made inroads, large inroads in that party.
00:36:09.560 If they lose this referendum and lose it badly, then the arena shifts to a major fight for control of the United Conservative Party.
00:36:18.300 Not so united.
00:36:19.860 And it will really depend on what happens there.
00:36:22.360 If they lose that fight, then where do they go?
00:36:25.780 And they have to start up their own party.
00:36:27.520 The history of separatist parties in Alberta has not been a good one.
00:36:30.360 Well, I'm so glad that these four well-kept Timu Muppet show-looking people, the guy on
00:36:40.940 the end, Aaron Wary, looks like a Timu beaker, I am so pleased that these Laurentian A-team 0.83
00:36:53.080 has assembled to tell us Albertans what's bugging us.
00:36:58.240 right it was really good of them to take the time to chime in on on how they can speak for
00:37:04.320 the people of the west some more yeah the and it like this panel was so bad that i found myself
00:37:11.520 agreeing with rosemary barton uh for a second when she said really this doesn't make anything go away
00:37:18.960 yeah it exactly it truly doesn't it truly doesn't no it'll be it all goes back to
00:37:26.960 danielle smith and how she proceeds through this could the national broadcaster perhaps bring on
00:37:34.560 an albertan to talk about alberta issues but to kill you people to put one of us on the panel
00:37:40.640 like i don't even care if you have to dust off monty solberg a federalist i don't care
00:37:45.440 um but at least get someone on there from the province like part of our alienation is that we
00:37:52.320 don't see ourselves reflected in the institutions that we pay for right to cbc right or or we don't
00:37:58.400 see ourselves reflected in the people we vote for that's even more problematic that's even more
00:38:04.560 problematic and yet anyway look at me i'm asking for a soulberg here you know from lead not leave
00:38:13.600 or vote to stay or whatever operation they were running um let's hit an ad break we'll come back
00:38:18.880 on the other side uh olivia or efron we never finished reacting to david eby's horrible remarks
00:38:25.360 yesterday because by the end of the day he had to apologize and i don't think his apology about his
00:38:31.040 remarks about wainwright how we should vote to stay because um some soldiers died in wainwright
00:38:36.400 A lot of people are saying his apology wasn't quite enough of an apology and I haven't even
00:38:46.160 watched it yet. So I think we should watch it together. Okay, let's hit an ad break. We'll be
00:38:50.500 right back. By providing access to job training and support, Work First Alberta helps job seekers
00:39:01.980 change their story.

00:40:17.880 For generations, many Canadians have preserved more than just firearms.
00:40:23.200 They've preserved history, tradition, competition, memories.
00:40:28.760 But under Trudeau, and now Kearney, heirlooms, estates, collectibles and competition firearms
00:40:36.500 now have to be surrendered and destroyed.
00:40:42.200 While violent gun criminals get pass after pass, openly ignoring any legislation, lawful
00:40:49.220 gun owners are trapped in an increasingly unfair legal system.
00:40:53.880 But we can help.
00:40:56.140 Because National Firearms Association's Save Firearms program offers the legal pathway to preserve what matters, while we work towards a political solution.

00:43:19.540 we're back um before we talk about david eby's uh lackluster according to the internet apology
00:43:26.580 for politicizing uh what happened in wainwright where four soldiers died and several others
00:43:35.220 dozens of others were hurt to the point where code orange happened at hospitals in Edmonton
00:43:42.020 and air ambulances had to be sent from around the province and from Saskatchewan to help.
00:43:50.340 I just want to talk about what's happening in Toronto right now. Toronto is in the middle of
00:43:56.980 a mayoral uh campaign and today polls are showing that brad bradford has overtaken olivia chow
00:44:05.060 in the polls yes no is toronto going to get a common sense a common sense mayor
00:44:12.100 wouldn't that be exciting is our long national nightmare of have to of having to watch olivia
00:44:18.420 chow jam out with her clam out almost over i'm what i wouldn't give for a serious person to be
00:44:26.340 running this whole thing do you know what i know i'm never going to see from brad bradford his
00:44:31.460 groin yeah his upper thigh i'm never going to see it i'm not going to see him dress like some sort of
00:44:38.900 method peacock at a festival i'm very excited brad bradford i never want to see you walking a mile
00:44:45.940 in in stilettos with the you know with the cross dressers at the ywca i never want to see it i just
00:44:53.700 never okay business casual business attire only the poll is out by cp24 today olivia if you're
00:45:01.860 looking for it that's the latest poll and it has i think brad bradford um it's their exclusive
00:45:09.080 poll from cp24 in it i think it has brad bradford with a slight lead um i i guess people who
00:45:17.020 were voting for chris alexander have figured out that he's no longer running although i don't know
00:45:23.180 if he was ever actually running for anything and perhaps some of those votes are headed over to
00:45:29.020 brad bradford thankfully thank god but i did see that um former liberal premier kathleen winn oh
00:45:38.420 no um kathleen winn uh endorsed olivia chow surprising nobody but that's i feel like that's
00:45:48.440 kiss of death it's all you need to know is that one of the worst premiers ontario has ever had
00:45:55.240 has endorsed one of the worst mayors ontario has ever had yeah that's really all you need the um 0.76
00:46:05.880 all the problems with the education system those are those are kathleen when they started there
00:46:11.960 with bad lips they always always do these these the worst kind of pervasive gross 0.99
00:46:19.400 federal overreach into provincial jurisdiction always involve libs always yeah uh we've got
00:46:26.040 actually a video um that efron put in the chat of the look at that it's do you know what if i were
00:46:35.720 janice erwin ndp mla from alberta this would be like looking into a crystal ball of my future
00:46:41.960 oh we're in uh where are they like where show me the video i want to watch if these two weirdos
00:46:50.040 probably a school library planting perverty books in it it looks like it let's watch i first knew
00:46:58.260 you when my kids were in school you were a public school trustee i moderated a debate
00:47:04.360 the jack was in in 91 at wandless school like i've watched you and your value system for 35 years
00:47:12.840 and i know that when you talk about feeding children you understand that that's not just
00:47:18.440 about giving those kids food it's about helping them and their families to be able to cope with
00:47:24.200 their lives you know and so those kinds of solutions actually get at the root of the the
00:47:30.280 problem i think that's that's what's at risk if we make the wrong choice in the city in this election
00:47:37.080 hi i'm kathleen wynn and we are all here to support the re-election of olivia chow
00:47:44.280 whoa oh the the you know the spicy aunties over there in toronto want you to know a thing
00:47:50.600 why do you think that childhood hunger is a thing you guys how come how come you think that happened
00:47:56.520 it's because of your piss poor decisions over all of these years and we see it like listen if
00:48:01.240 you're listening to Tamara Ugolini's reporting on education in Ontario you know that it's a
00:48:05.800 disaster and this is what 35 years of gross leftist activism in education gets you this this and I
00:48:14.980 love how he she conjures the name of Jack Layton just drags him out like weekend at Bernie's
00:48:19.220 I remember your dead husband my dead husband listen maybe the ghosts of Jack Layton are just 0.93
00:48:26.060 going to be done now maybe because leaving leaving major decisions up to ladies like this 0.95
00:48:31.660 you know that smell like patchouli and get together for right yeah it's not the best for 0.86
00:48:38.060 matcha lattes um and for sure and if you are wondering why ontario is so vulnerable
00:48:48.300 to tariffs you look no further than kathleen wind's green energy policies that's it that's
00:48:54.620 exactly it great what a it's like feeling the icy lips of death kiss your face to get an endorsement
00:49:04.940 from kathleen wynn who oversaw her party uh being absolutely obliterated in her last election to the
00:49:12.780 point where they didn't even need a minivan just like a four-door sedan to cart around their mlas
00:49:19.180 to conventions. Oh, God. Oh, Lord. The federal liberals find themselves in a bit of a predicament. 0.98
00:49:30.500 Now, I'm of two minds on this. I dislike how the federal liberals are jettisoning the commissionaires,
00:49:46.700 which is the single largest employer of canadian veterans at the same time i'm like oh you're
00:49:52.460 hiring an ice affiliated firm okay i'm not against that they seem to be doing a good job in the
00:49:59.500 united states but the liberals i'm reliably informed are against trump's immigration policies
00:50:05.580 and yet um carney is handing cra office security taking it from the commissionaires who you will
00:50:16.940 see if you're trying to get your passport renewed or whatever in government in government yeah in
00:50:21.660 government buildings and situations the commissioners are often there yeah so um
00:50:27.500 they're taking it away from the commissionaires and they're giving it to um uh what is it allied
00:50:35.180 universal oh they're giving the contract for security to allied universal it's a 12 million
00:50:40.940 dollar contract and um the left is upset because this is a firm that makes tens of millions of
00:50:51.820 dollars from ice contracts in the united states and other agencies they're going to be doing
00:50:58.860 security here the left is all up in arms um you know the liberals they they you know they're all
00:51:05.740 elbows up by canadian contract canadian then they hire the ice guys to come in and unemploy the
00:51:12.540 commissionaires i can't see that going going over well i can't see that going over well but it does
00:51:19.980 beg the question why why is there a need at cra why is there a need at cra is there that much
00:51:26.300 security and fraud and malfeasance that you would need an outside agency to contain it.
00:51:36.060 Maybe, maybe there's a tell in that. Yeah. And it was over an $80,000
00:51:41.660 bid gap. So what's that? The food on one flight from Ottawa to Edmonton to go to an elbows up
00:51:49.100 convention for Mark Carney. Yeah. They couldn't find those savings somewhere else to buy Canadian,
00:51:55.020 employ canadians employ canadian veterans no yeah not try not not not trustworthy enough 0.80
00:52:02.780 maybe this is one of the public institutions that seen that seen so so so much negative change
00:52:10.160 negative loss in what they used to be that they just went well it's a it's a lost cause
00:52:15.420 um let's get to mark carney he's been fibbing again so not again it is true just days ago
00:52:27.260 october 16th so not long enough for um early onset alzheimer's to claim my memory
00:52:33.660 he said on the ryan jesperson show who is like an insufferable progressive podcaster
00:52:41.100 in Alberta. He used to work like in mainstream media. I can't remember if he got laid off or
00:52:47.920 fired. I don't care either way. He got downsized, let's just say. So he started a podcast and then
00:52:53.880 all the fancy people go on his podcast. I'm not sure what his downloads are. I've never sat
00:53:01.680 through an episode. I only ever watch clips if somebody else clipped it because I just don't
00:53:05.620 want to give him the view. But he said, he was asked, am I open to constitutional reform?
00:53:12.540 And so he says this to an Alberta audience. And then, I think just was it last, no, this
00:53:24.680 morning, it looks like this morning, he says something entirely different. Four days later.
00:53:35.620 You said recently you're open to discussions about the Constitution.
00:53:40.380 I mean, nothing specific, to be clear.
00:53:46.580 What I was signaling, I said a number of things in that interview in the same paragraph in which you picked out one element of,
00:53:55.560 which is that what I favor is working now pragmatically to common solutions.
00:54:02.420 constitutional change is difficult it's long we have an amending formula generated originally
00:54:10.960 out of Alberta and where we can find solutions that work for Canadians we should find those
00:54:15.240 solutions that work for Canadians I believe for example on the issue of immigration and
00:54:19.880 cooperation between the federal government and the provinces for sustainable immigration
00:54:24.840 a system that works for Canadians, works for our economy, works for our society
00:54:31.840 and treats those who come to our country, choose to come to our country with the dignity and standards that they deserve
00:54:41.520 that we can accomplish that without constitutional change, for example.
00:54:45.760 So it's very important to do our jobs and to find those solutions
00:54:52.740 and we're building a track record, the provinces, the territories, federal governments, of doing just that.
00:54:59.880 And we'll continue to do that.
00:55:00.720 If the provinces have been in that situation, there was to be constitutional change.
00:55:06.480 If the provinces have been leading that.
00:55:08.400 I'm sorry?
00:55:09.360 You have no interest in having constitutional change.
00:55:11.320 No, don't. I didn't say. That's not what I said at all.
00:55:15.320 I'll just refer exactly to my previous answer. Don't reintroduce.
00:55:22.740 okay i think that's good because here's what exactly what he said from the ryan jesperson
00:55:31.220 podcast he said am i open to constitutional reform yes i'm open to it but i'm open to it
00:55:42.580 with laying the groundwork for consensus and part of the way you lay groundwork for that
00:55:46.420 is you build trust you build on success and you move forward he also stated uh the constitution
00:55:51.700 is unamendable to be clear but he said he's open to constitutional reform and then he said on
00:55:58.500 another podcast the flip podcast to an alberta focused audience in the lead up to the referendum
00:56:06.260 he says yes i'm open to it so in to an alberta audience in he says one thing up he says one
00:56:16.020 the referendum he lies to alberta voters who are possibly considering voting option two
00:56:25.540 because they don't think that they have a federal government that they can work with to amend the
00:56:30.900 constitution so he says to them you know what i'm open to it so that might have pushed people over
00:56:36.900 to option one but now that the vote is over you get to know what he really thinks and he's not
00:56:42.900 going to amend the constitution even though there are constitutional questions there that Albertans
00:56:49.060 have voted on that they want changes and this is what I'm saying Daniel Smith does not have a lot
00:56:56.900 of runway on these issues you have a prime minister you cannot trust he's lying he lied to voters in
00:57:04.100 the lead up to the election to ensure the proper outcome according to him and now that it's all over
00:57:10.660 he's telling you what he really thinks that's that's right and you and i i think that one of
00:57:16.500 the things that we must be aware of over and over and over is that any time a provincial government
00:57:24.260 engages with the federal government on an issue just let's take immigration for for instance
00:57:31.540 every minute spent on the federal government is a minute stolen from the people of the province
00:57:37.860 that their premier is dealing, in this case, Danielle Smith. So every minute Danielle Smith
00:57:43.380 spends working with the federal government to come up with a solution, to come up with a workaround
00:57:50.260 to this immigration issue, is a minute that isn't getting spent on the people of Alberta,
00:57:56.340 on the things that the people of Alberta are concerned about. And so I would just caution
00:58:01.700 her about the investment and and every premier about the investment of time that the federal
00:58:07.860 government commands out of the premiers when it should be when it should be the premier serving
00:58:13.300 the provinces first and tending you know to the hissy fits of the federal government second um
00:58:19.380 it's really easy to get overwhelmed by these guys we just like we just saw this yesterday
00:58:24.020 the entire bureaucracy activating in support of something the federal government sees we we want
00:58:30.020 a restraining order against that as individual provinces we want our you know in large part
00:58:37.700 we want our elected representatives on the provincial level to insulate us against the
00:58:43.620 worst of ottawa's impulses not the other way around i don't want more inroads with the people
00:58:49.940 that have shown themselves to be incapable of making good and sound decisions as it pertains
00:58:55.060 to governance yeah and i think that's missing in this like i just can't believe the gall of this
00:59:00.500 guy to come to alberta in the lead up to a referendum that asked constitutional questions
00:59:05.940 and say to albertans yes i'm open to constitutional reform go back to ottawa one day later ottawa and
00:59:12.260 say haha fooled you i'm not that's what happened daniel smith should be very careful about expending 0.96
00:59:19.540 political capital by means of trust with this guy because he's an absolute snake-eyed liar well 0.70
00:59:27.540 i mean i i hope she knows i hope she knows she's in a she's in it she's in a she could have been 0.98
00:59:36.020 in a she could have been in a much more powerful position she could have been she could have been
00:59:43.140 in a much more powerful position yep for sure because right now with a 25 25 turnout we'll say 0.99
00:59:50.500 for for the uh or excuse me 75 for remain that doesn't again it doesn't give her a lot of 1.00
00:59:58.020 runway to work with no she would have been in a much better position to negotiate with the feds
01:00:03.700 and with the other provinces had there been a different result there so we'll see um i'm just 0.96
01:00:10.660 looking in the chat here and one of our web team put in the chat um we've already seen the olivia
01:00:18.100 chow um uh cranky marms video yes this apparently brad bradford ad on the other side was apparently
01:00:30.500 so good that people thought it was ai okay so let's just watch so you can see this is you
01:00:36.420 already saw what the chow campaign is offering they've dusted off the corpse of kathleen winn
01:00:43.140 they've rattled her bones out of the sarcophagus and they set her in a chair in a library yeah we
01:00:47.940 can't get bernice yeah let's watch this brad bradford ad let's go girls daddy's almost done
01:00:56.900 i'm here to tell you not only is it possible but it's within our grasp a city that's safer
01:01:02.420 a city that's more affordable i have a plan to get toronto unstuck and build a beautiful
01:01:07.940 and formidable city but if we want to change the city we have to change the mayor
01:01:12.740 and that's why i'm asking for your vote to build a city that we can be proud of together
01:01:17.540 normal a normal i didn't see one i didn't see one costume in there not even one he was just
01:01:32.460 wearing regular business attire nice yeah nice nice family nice kids um looks like
01:01:41.740 out a business fills out a dress shirt nice it's nice everything about this is nice it's just nice
01:01:48.580 and normal um and even they even made toronto in the background look good right that's a feat
01:01:56.160 no wonder they thought it was ai i'm kidding i feel very bad for the people of toronto who have
01:02:03.940 to live under the chow regime yeah bruce arthur with his catfish photo um he says like he thought
01:02:12.400 it was ai so um using ai in a campaign ad feels oddly perfect for brad bradford okay bruce the bad
01:02:22.960 takes bruce bruce who hasn't had a single good take in all of his live long days yeah it's bruce
01:02:29.900 should maybe get rid of his AI-generated catfish photo there and put his real face.
01:02:37.920 Image would be great.
01:02:41.100 Okay, we've got the, I think it's mainstream media coverage of BC NDP leader apologizing
01:02:49.920 for saying because soldiers were caught in a wall of fire caused by a grass fire
01:02:58.080 in Wainwright that the only way to honor their service is to of course vote option one
01:03:04.520 despicable just imagine being one of those families yeah by the way I don't know wildly
01:03:11.000 inappropriate one of the soldiers that died is in a photo with Polyev when Polyev visited Wainwright
01:03:18.260 I somebody pointed that out online today so he you know like the these one at least one of these
01:03:24.640 young men was a conservative supporter and so anyways but David Eby stood on his grave to make
01:03:31.680 the Federalist case before I guess he's even in his grave and now we have David Eby being forced
01:03:38.500 to apologize so let's watch. Talking about Alberta these deaths have been on my mind the
01:03:46.260 those injured have been on my mind but to ensure that I'm really clear the deaths of these
01:03:55.320 young men their sacrifice is sacred the grief of these families is sacred and to ensure that there
01:04:03.160 is no confusion going forward I will keep any comment related to this horrific tragedy
01:04:09.400 completely separate from conversations about the campaign uh we weren't confused yeah there's no
01:04:17.260 confusion we heard you perfectly fine no one is confused by what you said you are confused by the
01:04:24.560 backlash you didn't think you were going to get that's what happened because at the end of the
01:04:29.800 day four four young people four young people uh were killed in probably the worst way a person 0.63
01:04:38.140 a person could die and that was the responsibility of the canadian government you put them in harm's
01:04:44.220 way at some at the end of the day there's somebody within the government whose job it is to make sure
01:04:49.740 that young people don't die in training exercises on windy days okay and something catastrophically
01:04:56.780 failed and so to tie to tie and and i think that this does speak to um you know sort of grief
01:05:05.100 grifting as it's politically expedient. What I would like to see and what I think the families
01:05:11.820 of these young people deserve is answers as to how this could have happened. What series of events
01:05:23.500 had to have happened for a catastrophic breakdown in safety protocol, in emergency services protocol,
01:05:29.980 in communications so that so that these four young men uh died on the alberta prairie
01:05:37.420 because of the because of the because of the negligence really of the government that's what
01:05:42.780 we should all be demanding and that that david eby would try and find a way to snake it into
01:05:47.420 the conversation it's grotesque yeah it's actually grotesque i was there the very next morning uh i
01:05:54.060 I was there by 9 a.m. the next morning.
01:05:55.780 And just the size of that wildfire, the grass fire, just extreme respect for the emergency services who were able to get that thing under control so fast.
01:06:12.560 But just the volume of burn, just an absolute catastrophe, just a disaster all around for the entire town.
01:06:23.760 We've got some chats. Web team, if you're watching, do you have any ideas for a cringe? I didn't get around to it since my Samsung ring tells me my sleep deficit is somehow equaling about four days of sleep. No word of a lie. So if you have an idea for one, I would really appreciate that.
01:06:47.300 but we've got some chats here uh cynthia gardner 8102 gives us 139.99 and i don't
01:06:57.060 thank you cindy you're the best thanks cindy this is our viewer of the day obviously
01:07:05.800 cindy gardner thanks so much for being here with us p schofield 10 and it's our friend from the
01:07:13.540 United States. Sorry, I'm looking in a different place than you, Olivia. I'm not. I'll try to be
01:07:18.860 more on the ball next time. So much for Mr. Lincoln's malice towards none and charity for
01:07:24.400 all about what I expect from the establishment. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, I see. I see your graphic
01:07:32.500 now. ACNH Celeste 699. Thank you, Sheila, for all of your hard work this week. You've had some
01:07:39.560 super long days this week nice to see you in least back at it after a late night oh we wouldn't miss
01:07:44.540 it for anything no this we would we were gonna make this day rain or shine for sure and things
01:07:50.280 yeah sheila gun reed deficit of four days let's go back like try a year try a year i know it's
01:07:57.700 been running outright yes um we like it that way we like it that way i just can't help myself
01:08:05.000 it's how I'm built like I should tell you folks and if you're a regular viewer of the show you
01:08:10.960 you know that once a year Lisa and I make a pilgrimage to the Pinoka Stampede yeah while
01:08:18.340 we were there out at the cabaret the night before out at the Chucks then to the concert after and
01:08:24.180 then having some fun with the kids um I was still getting up at 5 a.m the next day to meet my
01:08:32.100 commitments to uh my independence campaign and alberta fact check i was not going to have cory
01:08:38.820 morgan sitting on the other end of an email waiting for my response because i had a little
01:08:42.640 bit too much fun the night before so um i just there's too much work to do and it's just too
01:08:48.680 important true story true story yeah um deep sea miner tips us by way of rumble wallet
01:08:56.360 sure nice to see that in action hey no kidding yeah um then we've got um rabid
01:09:06.240 roach why do westerners always elect sissies trudeau macron carney starmer here's the thing
01:09:13.540 western canadians aren't electing those people and that's our problem with confederation
01:09:18.500 we didn't vote for trudeau no we don't we don't well we don't vote for the woke
01:09:24.640 We didn't vote for Carney. We didn't. That's our problem is somewhere on the other side of Winnipeg, it stops going red as in like in Canada or colors are flipped. So blue is conservative, red is liberal.
01:09:40.260 somewhere after winnipeg the blue just hits a wall and it goes all the way to the interior of bc
01:09:48.420 and so we have this one part of the country electing the government and the rest of us
01:09:53.840 having to be governed as colonies of it yeah like a like a slave class sad sad yeah uh
01:10:03.720 But Annalisa64 gives us $13.99.
01:10:07.780 This lady just is the biggest fan of David Menzies.
01:10:12.500 He's the absolute biggest fan.
01:10:13.940 Yeah.
01:10:14.780 Who isn't?
01:10:15.680 Who isn't?
01:10:17.240 She says, I've missed watching the lives.
01:10:19.160 I got lucky today.
01:10:19.940 Love you, ladies. 1.00
01:10:20.520 And make sure you give my sweet Menzies a big hug.
01:10:22.860 We did.
01:10:23.660 We just saw him last week.
01:10:25.340 Oh, we just got filled up on David Menzies.
01:10:28.480 Yeah, we tried to take him out when we were there.
01:10:32.920 We wore him out.
01:10:33.720 And we wore him out.
01:10:35.180 We wore him out.
01:10:35.720 So we had to go home and rest.
01:10:36.700 But we have makeup plans, rain check plans, Annalisa, for December with David Menzies.
01:10:44.160 Company Christmas party plans.
01:10:46.080 Yep.
01:10:46.840 He gives the best nickel and dime tours of Toronto.
01:10:49.840 And it's all like, it reminds me of when Kramer rented the tour bus and gave everybody the tour of Jay Peterman's book, which was his life.
01:11:01.060 i've watched too much seinfeld but it's like that where he took us to his favorite breakfast place
01:11:05.700 yeah and then to see some big fancy houses took took us out in the wild in toronto like just in
01:11:12.320 the wild in toronto and it was so it was actually so sweet because we got to see david menzies in
01:11:17.120 the wild in the way the public interacts with him and the public loves david menzies in toronto
01:11:22.520 yeah he's he's a gem he's a gem uh i'm not your buddy guy that's so funny uh 9713
01:11:35.000 that's so funny leaning hard into the terrence and philip there um it gives us 10 bucks and says i'm
01:11:40.920 black pilled after last night the west will fall we had a very limited window to turn things around
01:11:45.240 and unfortunately too many don't have the stomach to do what needs to be done to save it i'm not
01:11:49.960 black pelt turn that frown upside down okay it's it's we're just going to continue you guys we're 0.89
01:11:57.720 just going to continue i think a lot of people today are seeing um mark carney for the liar that
01:12:03.480 he is and they basically i think that the hard stop is a year they have a year to give us what
01:12:10.920 we want or things are going to explode how many more years though do we give them oh how many more
01:12:17.720 years did we give them i was 10 years ago i've been i've been done since i started correct correct
01:12:24.200 and even before even before that yeah um in previous generations of us same same we're
01:12:31.400 trying this over generations they're like we'll do better baby we'll do better baby right believe
01:12:36.760 me this time yeah uh we've got another oh we got a cringe but and we'll need it i think um
01:12:46.120 Um, so one more chat, uh, C Beaudoin 60, not only four men died, but many were burned so badly it
01:12:54.100 will change lives forever. Absolutely. Yeah. That actually happened like the, and that it actually
01:13:00.100 happened should be an outrage. You care, if you care about our armed forces, if you care about
01:13:04.800 our young people, we should be really demanding answers out of the federal government. How did
01:13:10.160 this happen wind isn't a surprise on the prairies it's not a surprise we can
01:13:15.200 actually predict it we can actually predict it and we did and yet this still
01:13:20.340 happened how yeah how come there weren't firefighting firefighting services on
01:13:26.240 that base ready to go how come there wasn't an emergency evacuation plan for
01:13:32.180 those for those people why was this allowed to happen it is such a
01:13:36.320 a catastrophic screw up that is it is almost hard to comprehend and yet um and yet here we are and
01:13:44.640 for and honestly uh honestly it's for their families that I would be asking these questions
01:13:50.820 they deserve the truth more than anybody and um for right now it just looks like oops oops Latvia
01:13:57.980 yep um okay we've got a cringe and uh i need this you do but it's gonna wind you up in the
01:14:08.040 opposite direction i like it okay pittsburgh penguins on x pride game pittsburgh style
01:14:16.400 the latest drawn to the game wearable comes from local artist drew simcoe get yours with
01:14:22.520 pride game ticket package this thursday why does he have hair like someone who would build a coat
01:14:29.000 out of dalmatian puppies cruella cruella deville hair you guys okay let's watch a minute and two
01:14:35.960 of cringe pittsburgh penguins okay hi my name is drew simcoe and i am this year's pride night
01:14:41.720 artist for the pittsburgh penguins what being a part of the community means to me is unity and
01:14:47.640 perseverance it makes me think of all my friends and families who have been through so much and
01:14:53.000 i hold them so very dear to my heart i love them and this is my love letter back to them
01:14:58.120 i really wanted everything to kind of flow together so i was inspired to use the rainbow
01:15:02.760 gradient to make it very soft and progressive i decided to include obviously the pittsburgh rivers
01:15:08.360 looks very strong and powerful i also added the bridges to symbolize connection and community and
01:15:13.880 I gave a little shout out to my trans siblings on the shoulder.
01:15:16.920 So the 15th stands for 2015, whenever gay marriage was legalized in the United States. 0.61
01:15:21.800 And then the 11th is the goal slogan. 0.76
01:15:24.200 It's just something that I came up with as a little hockey pun.
01:15:26.920 I think that it symbolizes community and fun.
01:15:29.480 It's awesome to see how the penguins continue to go out and support the community.
01:15:33.080 I am ecstatic to see my design here.
01:15:35.240 This is super surreal.
01:15:36.520 I am so very proud and happy of this design and I hope that you guys all can enjoy it too.
01:15:40.840 you know all of the best to the tens of people who are going to buy that design all of the very
01:15:48.360 best to you pittsburgh penguins i just want to i you know i far be it for me to point out that
01:15:54.900 your base okay does not does not a lot like hockey culture and this it just doesn't go and it looks
01:16:01.940 like some sports teams are just gonna have to learn the hard way just they're just gonna have
01:16:06.840 to learn the hard way. People typically aren't sports fans because they're social justice
01:16:14.520 warriors. And I could literally, if this was the theme of the night, I wouldn't even consider
01:16:21.460 going. So again, best of luck to the tens of people who are going to buy tickets to this
01:16:25.260 thing and to this sweet artist that couldn't find success in a fashion house if he tried.
01:16:31.380 That squiggly line. Okay, so he describes the thing on the chest as soft and progressive.
01:16:36.840 Well, yeah, that's what I think about when I think about hockey.
01:16:40.320 And then for some reason, the squiggly line across it, which represents the river, is strong.
01:16:47.980 It's just a squiggly rainbow line.
01:16:50.120 Like, I don't get what he's talking about.
01:16:53.280 People go to watch hockey.
01:16:55.800 They spend a ton of money on tickets to watch hockey.
01:16:58.860 to avoid the social justice nonsense of the world and just decompress and unload into the game. You
01:17:07.440 don't want this nonsense that isn't the outside world just crammed at you. Yes, as a matter of
01:17:14.920 fact, I would go to, I want to go to events where I'm not bombarded with this kind of wokeism,
01:17:22.620 whether it be, whether it be, you know,
01:17:24.380 it's probably going to rodeo.
01:17:26.080 Well, but even then, Sheila Gunn-Reed,
01:17:28.580 even then it's not, it's not immune to it
01:17:31.080 because we walk into, you know, rodeos are being,
01:17:35.080 rodeos are, well, the security,
01:17:37.820 the security staff at rodeo rodeos has really changed
01:17:40.880 over these last number of years.
01:17:44.180 But, but people do want an escape from the gross
01:17:47.380 and pervasive woke overreach of, of things like this.
01:17:51.380 and again best of luck to you Pittsburgh like I can't wait to see the stats I can't wait to see
01:17:57.120 the attendance stats guaranteed this game is going to be you know not well attended unless
01:18:03.640 you're giving the tickets away for free people will go because they like hockey um and they'll
01:18:10.660 suffer through the pride experience because they like hockey but they're not there for the pride
01:18:15.980 experience and that's just the thing yeah anyway uh you guys were very generous today in the chats
01:18:24.940 uh thanks so much for bearing with us over these last 18 hours here 24 for me at the company
01:18:33.260 uh it's it's been great um it's been a roller coaster but i don't think any of the results
01:18:39.420 were all that unexpected and i think the real work is just beginning and the good thing is
01:18:44.060 we're Albertans and we're not scared of hard work that's right if not if not us then who

01:19:56.160 you're not subscribed do it do it hit the hit the hit the bell hit the little bell hit the buttons
01:20:01.680 and uh i guess that's it let's wrap the show we went a little long today but the show yesterday
01:20:06.980 was short because we had some sort of alarm going off in the studio so i think we've made it up to
