Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey - Ep 1099 ｜ Mattel’s New Barbie Links to a P＊rn Site

00:00:00.800 Mattel is selling a new Barbie doll, and on the back of the packaging is a link to a porn site.

00:00:09.520 We've got all of the details on that alleged accident on today's episode of Relatable.

00:00:15.080 We are also talking about Megan Fox's strange and new age announcement about her new pregnancy

00:00:22.600 and all of the theological context surrounding her short statement.

00:00:27.740 We've also got a call to share the arrows with a restaurant in Wheaton, Illinois, all the details on that.

00:00:36.540 This episode is brought to you by our friends at Good Ranchers.

00:00:39.500 Go to GoodRanchers.com. Use code Allie at checkout. That's GoodRanchers.com, code Allie.

00:00:53.780 Hey, guys, and welcome to Relatable. Happy Tuesday.

00:00:56.360 Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. We are back in studio looking and sounding like we typically do.

00:01:04.000 We are going to focus more on culture today. We've been talking so much politics, and for good reason.

00:01:09.600 But I wanted to talk about a few stories that you guys have sent me and asked my thoughts on.

00:01:14.660 This first one is this crazy story about Mattel.

00:01:19.020 That is the company that made Barbie misprinting a link on the packaging for their dolls, Wicked Dolls.

00:01:27.940 And I mean Wicked, the movie that is based on the musical, that is based on the book.

00:01:33.180 This packaging had a thing on the back that actually linked to a porn site rather than the site that it was supposed to link to, which of course was something about the dolls.

00:01:46.040 So here's the summary of this.

00:01:48.080 And what they're saying was just a giant mistake.

00:01:51.620 So Mattel printed a porn website link on the back of its Wicked movie-themed dolls geared toward young girls ages four and older rather than the link to the website for the movie.

00:02:04.720 The error gained attention on social media over the weekend where numerous users shared photos of the URL printed on the back of the boxes featuring characters from the movie adaptation of Wicked that's hitting theaters this month.

00:02:18.020 By the way, as an aside, I am not going to see this movie.

00:02:23.560 I loved Wicked, the musical.

00:02:25.820 My mom and I would listen to the soundtrack and sing to the soundtrack every day going to school when I was in middle school.

00:02:33.360 I loved the musical.

00:02:34.900 I love the music.

00:02:35.880 But this movie does not look good.

00:02:38.460 It just, it doesn't.

00:02:40.020 It doesn't look true to the story.

00:02:41.880 The talent is going to be nothing like Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth.

00:02:47.520 And so I'm just not interested in seeing it.

00:02:50.760 But this is still going to be popular, I'm sure.

00:02:54.360 And therefore, the dolls are popular.

00:02:56.440 And if they are targeting kids, little girls ages four plus, I think it is of utmost importance to get the link correct on the back of the box.

00:03:07.960 So it's supposed to link to Universal Pictures' official WickedMovie.com page, but instead it leads to Wicked.com.

00:03:19.540 This is an adult film site.

00:03:21.240 I do not recommend testing this out for yourself.

00:03:24.800 In a statement sent to the Associated Press, Mattel said it was, quote,

00:03:28.840 made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel Wicked Collection dolls, which it said are primarily sold in the U.S.

00:03:36.900 We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this, the company added.

00:03:44.180 I cannot imagine something like this slipping through the cracks at a place like Mattel.

00:03:50.180 You've got so many hands and so many eyes that a product like this has to go through.

00:03:56.480 This is also a very evil misprint because it's not just like it got sent to some like unpurchased domain and it was just, you know, a letter off or something like this.

00:04:09.460 If this was an entire word off and you would think that there would be someone employed at Mattel or someone on the Wicked production end of things that would have tested the URL, that's not just a small thing.

00:04:23.500 As of Monday morning, most of these Wicked dolls appear to be no longer available or not in stock on sites like Amazon Target and Mattel's website.

00:04:32.220 In the meantime, the company is advising consumers who already have the dolls to discard their packaging or obscure the link and contact Mattel's customer service for more information.

00:04:44.160 First of all, I don't even know why there needs to be any kind of URL on the packaging of a kid's toy.

00:04:52.280 I just don't think it's necessary.

00:04:54.400 We already put up the picture, but we'll put up the picture again.

00:04:56.980 This was first posted I saw by Libs of TikTok.

00:05:00.460 She said Mattel printed a link to a PORN site.

00:05:05.640 You know, she did a little asterisk on two of the letters on their packaging for Wicked themed dolls. 0.89

00:05:12.080 Crazy how these mistakes keep happening.

00:05:15.980 So this has happened in the past.

00:05:20.200 You'll remember a couple of years ago, the episode that we did on the Balenciaga scandal.

00:05:25.240 That is a big brand that has been advertised, promoted by lots of celebrities, especially Kim Kardashian.

00:05:32.660 And they were selling bears and putting bears on their models on the runway that were dressed in bondage gear. 0.84

00:05:41.360 So like BDSM, which is like violent sex gear.

00:05:46.380 And these toys seem to be targeting children. 0.52

00:05:49.840 And in fact, if I remember correctly, children were in some of these ads with these kinds of strange, kinky BDSM bears. 0.81

00:06:01.680 And in one of their photo shoots on the desk was the text of a Supreme Court decision that involved child sex abuse material, typically referred to as child porn.

00:06:16.540 And they said, oh, this was just a giant mistake.

00:06:19.460 This is a messaging that we meant to put out there.

00:06:22.960 But again, this is a situation where you've got a huge major corporation that routinely does photo shoots like this.

00:06:33.740 And every single detail has to be scrutinized and approved by multiple people.

00:06:39.280 It's just hard to believe that an error that giant could happen. 0.91

00:06:44.000 And so obviously what I'm implying is that someone at one of these companies is sick and twisted and nefarious.

00:06:51.320 Now, I hope that that is not the case.

00:06:53.940 I hope this was a genuine error.

00:06:56.540 But again, like what are the odds that these major companies are placing porn or porn themes into the hands and eyes of children accidentally?

00:07:09.160 I think that we understand at this point that many of the powers that be really like the idea of sexualizing children.

00:07:18.840 That is what is behind this entire gender ideology movement that places in libraries and curriculum this idea that you should talk to a trusted adult that is not your parent about your genitalia and your feelings about your genitalia and your stated identity surrounding your genitalia.

00:07:40.840 I mean, progressive ideology seeks to destroy, it seeks to destroy innocence, it seeks to destroy beauty, it seeks to destroy truth, and therefore it also seeks to destroy the family.

00:07:54.000 And we already see in places like California legislation that cuts ties between parents and children when the parent won't go along with the new stated identity of their child.

00:08:07.480 We've interviewed some of those parents whose children have been taken out of their custody because they refuse to put their teenage daughter on hormone blockers.

00:08:17.500 And so that's what progressivism does, it destroys, and I just wouldn't be surprised if some nefarious person used this channel to introduce children to pornography.

00:08:33.680 And maybe I'm wrong, again, I really hope that I'm wrong, but unfortunately porn is so incredibly pervasive.

00:08:42.440 A lot of progressives were so mad at the idea that possibly Project 2025 afloated the idea of banning pornography.

00:08:52.360 And even though I don't think at all that is on the docket for any legislators or the Trump administration, it would be a good thing.

00:09:01.460 It would be a great thing.

00:09:03.020 And people say, well, then it would just be relegated to the dark web.

00:09:06.020 Okay, let it be relegated to the dark web.

00:09:08.900 Make it as inaccessible as possible.

00:09:11.540 And I actually did a debate against Charles C.W. Cook.

00:09:16.560 He works at National Review that was moderated by Raj Rare at the University of Dallas several months ago.

00:09:23.420 And I was on the side of banning pornography.

00:09:27.920 And one of my arguments was that pornography is the legal loophole for sex trafficking and specifically child sex trafficking.

00:09:37.940 Because there's really no way to verify the ages of the people involved.

00:09:42.960 There's no way to verify if these people consented.

00:09:47.820 And it's not only that, but it is also a negative in every single way.

00:09:53.560 It breaks down people's relationships, their own sex lives, their own confidence, their ability to function.

00:10:01.700 It objectifies human beings.

00:10:03.820 It takes sex outside of the proper context.

00:10:06.620 It is destructive in every way.

00:10:09.220 It's not only that it very often lacks consent.

00:10:12.280 It's also that it lacks any redeeming value whatsoever.

00:10:16.140 I think it should fall under obscenity laws.

00:10:20.100 I think it's so obvious that it is obscene and that it should not have First Amendment protections.

00:10:28.380 That's how I feel about pornography.

00:10:31.280 And the fact that children could so easily access it, as we've talked about on this show, it is very easy.

00:10:37.940 If you allow your child to have any access to the internet, it is very easy for them to stumble upon pornography, to be traumatized by the images that are in their mind, to become addicted to pornography.

00:10:51.300 That rewires their brain in a way that they very often cannot heal from the entirety of their lives.

00:10:58.760 Yes, I believe that we should do whatever possible, legally, technologically, culturally, to make pornography inaccessible, to relegate it to the deep and dark rungs of the dregs of the dark web.

00:11:20.100 Sure, whatever has to happen to make it really, really hard to sell, to profit from, and to distribute, then I'm for that.

00:11:30.080 I'm glad Mattel is making this right, and I just hope that no one, no child accessed this, but make sure that you look out for this if you are a parent.

00:11:39.580 Okay, let me pause and tell you about our first sponsor for the day, and that is Samaritan's Purse.

00:11:45.780 I absolutely love Operation Christmas Child.

00:11:49.860 Speaking of protecting and serving vulnerable children, Samaritan's Purse has done this really well in so many ways for so many years.

00:11:59.720 But one of, I just think, one of the sweetest ways that they do this is through Operation Christmas Child.

00:12:05.500 Since 1993, they have been collecting millions of boxes from people like you and me, filled with different toys and items like combs and toothbrushes for children around the world who have never gotten to experience the joy of opening a gift at Christmas.

00:12:22.100 From now until, let's see, when is the cutoff date for this?

00:12:29.100 From now until November 25th, it's actually November 18th through November 25th, you can drop off your box.

00:12:37.500 You can go to Operation Christmas, or actually, you can go to samaritanspurse.org slash OCC.

00:12:43.020 You can see what is required to build your box, what you should put in it, where you can get a box.

00:12:48.460 You can get one of those cardboard boxes, maybe at your church, or a plastic box that you buy anywhere.

00:12:53.880 And then you can see one of the 4,500 drop-off locations.

00:12:57.600 Find the one near you.

00:12:58.980 Do this with your kids.

00:12:59.900 It's a really great way to just teach them about generosity.

00:13:03.220 It's samaritanspurse.org slash OCC.

00:13:06.480 Another story that might not seem like one that I would typically cover, but does have a theological significance that I want to get into because this is an idea that I've seen a lot.

00:13:23.460 And it comes our way via Megan Fox announcing her pregnancy.

00:13:29.580 So Megan Fox is the actress.

00:13:32.100 She is probably most famous for, what, Transformers?

00:13:35.680 I'm not really sure.

00:13:37.260 But she is with Machine Gun Kelly.

00:13:39.760 I actually don't even know if they're married or just boyfriend, girlfriend.

00:13:43.560 She also has, I believe it's three sons.

00:13:46.620 And now she is welcoming her next child.

00:13:50.060 And she posted this on Instagram.

00:13:53.960 It's a picture of a pregnancy test with the yes plus on the digital screen.

00:13:59.440 It says, nothing is ever really lost.

00:14:02.680 Welcome back.

00:14:03.800 And that is because she had a miscarriage not too long ago.

00:14:08.120 And so what she is saying is that the baby that she lost previously through miscarriage is now back.

00:14:18.580 And this is a new age idea that I've actually heard several times.

00:14:24.860 And it doesn't really surprise me coming from someone like Megan Fox because she actually believes that babies inside the womb are conveying messages to us through their spirit.

00:14:38.280 She said this just a few years ago in an interview.

00:14:42.460 She said, when I became pregnant with Noah, that's one of her sons, I could feel through my mother's intuition, I suppose, that he was not subscribing to gender stereotypes.

00:14:53.360 So I decided to provide an environment for him early on that would allow him to discover how he wanted to express himself.

00:15:00.540 Unfortunately, her boys now present themselves.

00:15:03.840 It seems in pictures that have been that have been shown in a very feminine way.

00:15:11.080 They dress up as girls. 0.99

00:15:13.400 At least one of them does.

00:15:16.340 Some reports say that all of them actually present themselves as female.

00:15:20.320 Now, and she also said this, she said, I know it sounds crazy, like I'm a lunatic, but I've made some really good decisions based on what the higher self is telling me to do.

00:15:34.300 This baby, she's talking about the baby that she was pregnant with previously.

00:15:38.360 This baby wanted me to live somewhere else.

00:15:40.280 So we're moving to a whole different place in Los Angeles.

00:15:43.260 I feel like that's where this baby wants to be raised.

00:15:45.940 I also feel like this baby is telling me it's kind of like an Elon Musk, a super genius.

00:15:54.380 Okay, so this was about her third son because the first time she was talking about her oldest son, Noah, and then she has a two-year-old, and then she was pregnant with this third that she was saying, this baby is telling me that we need to move elsewhere.

00:16:10.520 And now she is saying that this baby that she is currently pregnant with is the same baby, the same soul that she was once pregnant with earlier.

00:16:20.360 And, you know, I first heard this a few years ago when I was watching a video about a woman who claims to be a Christian talking about the abortion that she chose to have.

00:16:30.760 And she said that the reason that she doesn't have guilt about this abortion is because she felt like this baby was telling her it's not time yet and I can come back, but it's not time and all you have to do is send me back.

00:16:49.160 And I've also seen it, of course, not in the context of abortion, saying, oh, this baby chose me, chose us as her parents, chose to come into our lives at this time.

00:17:03.360 Seeing these babies as these kind of autonomous individuals that have almost a higher sense of wisdom and a special transcendent power that we don't have.

00:17:19.360 And I looked into where this comes from.

00:17:22.320 Like, what is the philosophy behind this?

00:17:25.140 Of course, it's New Age.

00:17:26.520 That's really just kind of an umbrella term for paganism from Eastern religions.

00:17:32.440 We talk a lot about it in my first book, You're Not Enough and That's Okay.

00:17:36.480 This idea of the god of self or the goddess of self that she's deep down inside you and that actually you are perfect before you enter the world.

00:17:48.320 But as soon as you enter the world, then your perfect inner goddess gets weighed down or gets hidden, gets covered up with the muck and the mire of the patriarchy or capitalism or other people's unfair expectations, your negative dad or your toxic mom,

00:18:12.360 or all of these people who didn't understand you or all of these systems and these people outside of you have all been working since the time that you were born to inhibit your inner self, your true goddess.

00:18:29.160 And you have to then go on this journey of self-discovery and self-liberation to dig past all of these people's unfair expectations and all of these systems that have held you down to find your inner goddess again.

00:18:44.420 And how you do that is learning how to truly love yourself.

00:18:48.460 And once you truly love yourself and put yourself first and find what makes you happy, no matter what you have to sacrifice or whom you have to sacrifice to get to her and fulfill her, then you will finally be free.

00:19:02.700 Then once you get there, everything will fall into place.

00:19:05.380 You'll find the true love of your life.

00:19:07.920 You'll start manifesting all of the goals and ambitions and successes that you've been dreaming of for so long and everything will finally feel right.

00:19:17.340 Now, you'll notice that the people who have claimed to have gone down that journey, who claim to be able to sell you the scheme that they followed to get there,

00:19:31.940 or that they have found the hidden secrets of the universe or the divine higher self in their program.

00:19:41.980 Like, you'll notice that those people are rarely truly happy.

00:19:45.740 Those people are so often miserable.

00:19:50.100 Those people typically have one plus divorces in their past. 0.99

00:19:55.400 You will notice that they are very dependent upon you buying their program or you liking their posts or you giving them validation and affirmation for them to be okay.

00:20:12.740 Or they are constantly seeking the next thing, this mode of meditation or this kind of self-care or this mode of self-empowerment.

00:20:26.180 This will be the thing that finally helps you reach that higher plane.

00:20:30.480 It's like what scripture says in 2 Timothy 3, 7, always learning and never able to arrive at the knowledge of truth.

00:20:41.820 Actually, let me read this passage because in this culture, what I call the toxic culture of self-love,

00:20:50.200 self-love is seen as the highest virtue, the greatest thing that you can attain.

00:20:59.440 Once you reach that, everything else will fall into place.

00:21:02.600 Once you have full empathy for yourself, then you can have empathy for other people and you will be the most virtuous and compassionate and confident and successful person.

00:21:14.200 And it's just not true.

00:21:17.720 The self can't be both the problem and the solution.

00:21:20.140 If inside yourself, you're finding all of this confusion and the chaos and the depression and anxiety,

00:21:25.120 the solution to those things can't be found in the same place where you're finding your problems.

00:21:28.800 You have to go outside of yourself, namely to your creator, the God who sent his son to die for you,

00:21:34.920 who loved you so much that he sacrificed himself on your behalf, on your sin,

00:21:39.700 so that you could actually not fulfill yourself, but be free of yourself and the bondage that you have to sin and the flesh.

00:21:48.980 So let me read you this passage in 2 Timothy 3.

00:21:52.960 But understand this, that in the last days, there will come times of difficulty for people will be.

00:21:57.860 So these are times of difficulty, okay?

00:21:59.920 For people will be lovers of self.

00:22:04.940 So that's not a good thing.

00:22:06.340 This is the only time self-love is talked about in Scripture.

00:22:10.480 And Scripture is actually saying that this is an indication of the times of tribulation and difficulty.

00:22:16.540 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,

00:22:28.180 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness but denying its power.

00:22:38.040 Avoid such people, for among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, 0.99

00:22:43.840 burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

00:22:54.140 These are the women who are seeking the validation and the freedom and the liberation and the fulfillment from people like Glennon Doyle,

00:23:02.360 from people like Rachel Hollis, from people like Jen Hatmaker, who worship at the altar of the God of self

00:23:09.920 and are convincing women that if they do the same, they will be happy.

00:23:14.300 Just toss off the rules and regulations of religion.

00:23:18.040 Don't worry about what God says is right or wrong.

00:23:22.740 You know better than God.

00:23:24.380 Gosh, what does that sound like?

00:23:26.280 It sounds so similar to what Satan said to Eve, not Adam, Eve.

00:23:31.380 So again, capturing weak women through deceit and through the manipulation of the God of self. 0.69

00:23:38.200 Did Satan say, no, you will not surely die.

00:23:42.480 You will be like God.

00:23:45.140 That is what this toxic culture of self-love feeds women that manifests itself in the new age. 1.00

00:23:52.260 Now, all of that was me explaining what kind of the new age is, not what its roots are,

00:23:59.140 but how it manifests itself here in the West and actually can disguise itself as an angel of light

00:24:06.340 by coming through people who say that they are Christians and Bible study leaders and teachers of the word

00:24:14.320 and will write books and Bible studies to Christian women that basically tells them the lie, the new age lie, 0.97

00:24:21.880 that the biggest problem that you face, woman, is that you have low self-esteem

00:24:27.620 and the greatest plane that you can ascend to is loving yourself completely

00:24:34.920 and finding yourself fully and fulfilling yourself wholly and W-H-O-L-L-Y, that kind of wholly.

00:24:44.540 And it's just not true.

00:24:46.160 The biggest problem that we have is that we are sinners in need of a Savior.

00:24:49.840 Now, what does this have to do with Megan Fox saying that she has her baby that was once lost back?

00:24:59.420 Well, I will connect all of the dots in just a second.

00:25:01.900 Let me tell you about our second sponsor for the day, and that is WeHeart Nutrition.

00:25:06.520 I absolutely love WeHeart Nutrition.

00:25:08.940 I take their supplements every day.

00:25:10.800 I'm taking their postnatal vitamins right now.

00:25:13.040 It's perfect for this stage of life for me.

00:25:15.280 I also take their magnesium, their omega-3s, their iron supplements.

00:25:19.700 It's helped my iron levels so much as someone who is typically anemic.

00:25:23.600 I think it's really helps me stay healthy in cold and flu season.

00:25:27.400 It's helped bring my energy up.

00:25:29.480 I did not deal with this third time around any postpartum hair loss.

00:25:34.440 I really attribute that, a lot of that, to my supplements from WeHeart Nutrition.

00:25:39.280 This is a Christian family-owned company, and they want to work with you and find you the supplement regimen that works best for your body.

00:25:48.080 All of the ingredients come in the most bioavailable form.

00:25:52.100 And so you will not regret getting your supplements from WeHeart Nutrition.

00:25:55.840 Go to WeHeart Nutrition.

00:25:59.980 Go to WeHeartNutrition.com, code Allie.

00:26:03.000 So I apologize for the tangent, but I'm going to do like Donald Trump, and I'm going to weave it all the way, all the way back to the original question, the original point.

00:26:16.700 So I was searching, like, where does this come from, this idea that if you abort your child or if you miscarry your child, then their soul is going to come back to you?

00:26:31.080 And as I was searching, of course, the first website that came up was Cosmic Cradle, Cosmic Cradle.com.

00:26:39.640 And this blog post is from 2014.

00:26:42.920 And while it's not that sophisticated, it did kind of give me some idea of where this comes from.

00:26:49.400 So how they describe it is that these babies that come back to us in the womb are a soul reincarnated.

00:26:59.420 So reincarnated means like the same soul, it comes back in a new form, so in a new body.

00:27:06.100 Of course, there are Eastern religions, Indian religions, that believe that you can come back as an animal and you just keep being reincarnated. 0.70

00:27:13.600 Of course, that is not a Christian belief at all.

00:27:16.700 We do not believe that.

00:27:18.680 Now, Jesus came in the body of a man, but we do not believe that human beings are reincarnated because we read in Scripture that once we die, we meet judgment.

00:27:34.340 And, of course, Jesus on the cross, when he is talking to the thief and the thief believes in faith, the salvation of Christ,

00:27:41.100 Jesus says, today you will be with me in paradise.

00:27:45.860 That is also one reason why we as Protestants do not believe in purgatory, that you meet your eternal fate after you die.

00:27:56.740 But this idea of reincarnation, yes, we see it in pagan religions and we see it in different kinds of Eastern sects, but we also see it in the occult.

00:28:09.080 We see it in something called spiritism.

00:28:11.900 So I started to look this up.

00:28:14.060 Like, what is spiritism?

00:28:15.960 Where did it come from?

00:28:17.080 Because this reincarnation idea really, at least how it manifests itself here in the West, in the language we hear about babies being reincarnated,

00:28:28.520 that really seems to derive from spiritism.

00:28:32.440 So it was founded by someone named Allan Kardec.

00:28:35.580 It's described as a science dedicated to the relationship between incorporeal beings and human beings.

00:28:43.600 So this was a French guy.

00:28:45.340 He was a teacher in the 19th century.

00:28:47.800 Like, you'll notice that much of the occult, many different of the occultic sects were founded in the 19th century.

00:28:59.400 So that's just something to think about, that the belief systems that all came up in this very strange time, they were all kind of feeding on each other.

00:29:11.500 They were all very strange.

00:29:13.380 They all had a lot to do with human new revelation, that God had given them a new sign and a new word.

00:29:21.280 But remember, and I don't want to paraphrase this because I want to make sure that I get it correct,

00:29:29.620 that we are not to add to what God has already revealed to us in his word.

00:29:39.900 We read in Revelation 22, 18,

00:29:42.180 And so, obviously, in this context, he is talking about the prophecy that has been revealed to him in the book of Revelation.

00:30:10.220 We are not to add to the revelation that has been given to us there about what the end times are going to be,

00:30:17.540 what the ultimate fate is of the universe, and the ultimate redemption of mankind.

00:30:23.760 And, of course, we know that God's word is sufficient.

00:30:26.320 It's sufficient for building up.

00:30:28.580 It's sufficient for helping us in sanctification, for keeping us accountable, and for sharpening us.

00:30:35.800 And so, we have to be very careful when we are looking at where our belief system comes from,

00:30:42.780 when it started, how it started, and who started it.

00:30:46.180 But a lot of the occultic practices, like spiritism, were started in the 19th century,

00:30:51.700 when people were just coming up with a lot of goofy ideas about God and the afterlife.

00:30:57.680 And so, this guy, Alan Carnick, believed that the world is made up of the tangible and the physical and then the spirit world,

00:31:09.160 which, okay, you can see how it is convincing for some people because there is an element of truth to that.

00:31:17.060 We read in Ephesians 6 that there is a spiritual battle waging,

00:31:20.640 that actually our real enemy isn't a physical or political enemy, but a spiritual enemy,

00:31:26.480 that there are spiritual powers of darkness waging for the souls of mankind,

00:31:32.280 and waging against the glory and the goodness of God.

00:31:36.420 Satan is described in Ephesians 2 as the prince of the power of the air,

00:31:41.260 the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience,

00:31:45.480 among whom we all once walked in the passions of our flesh,

00:31:50.600 carrying out the desires of the body and the mind,

00:31:53.900 and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind,

00:31:58.520 but God, being rich in mercy because of the great love with which he has loved us,

00:32:02.920 made us alive together with Christ.

00:32:05.220 By grace, you have been saved through faith.

00:32:08.920 And so, we do know that there is a spiritual battle at play.

00:32:13.240 However, what the occult does is that it borrows portions of Christianity,

00:32:19.000 and then it perverts it.

00:32:21.080 And so, spiritism uses mediums, it uses seances,

00:32:26.600 like Ouija boards that we've talked about in the past,

00:32:28.940 to communicate with the dead.

00:32:30.640 And there were some famous seances that occurred around this time

00:32:36.060 that made people believe that, okay, this guy is onto something.

00:32:40.180 Really, the spirit world is trying to communicate to us.

00:32:43.500 Actually, I was just watching the season finale of,

00:32:46.220 I think, season two of Downton Abbey last night,

00:32:48.440 and they had a Ouija board.

00:32:50.040 And of course, they were the two dark, terrible characters

00:32:52.480 in the show using the Ouija board to try to communicate with the dead.

00:32:58.180 And I was just reminded of how fascinated humans have always been

00:33:04.720 with the other side, trying to get knowledge that they don't have access to

00:33:11.420 in the here and the now.

00:33:12.540 And that's kind of how spiritism started,

00:33:14.500 borrowing a little bit from these Eastern pagan religions,

00:33:17.700 borrowing a little bit from Christianity,

00:33:19.500 and making people believe that they could access the other world

00:33:24.200 and the power that's there.

00:33:25.800 And that really is what Megan Fox is channeling. 1.00

00:33:29.180 And through my research, I found that that's really where this idea derives from,

00:33:33.960 that the spirit world is communicating to us through our babies.

00:33:39.280 It is not only false, because we are all as individuals made in the image of God.

00:33:45.560 Yes, those babies are ensouled, and they matter, and they're made in God's image,

00:33:50.360 but everyone has a distinct soul.

00:33:52.820 After we die, we meet judgment.

00:33:55.000 We meet our eternal fate.

00:33:57.220 Of course, I believe that all babies who die inside the womb, 0.98

00:34:00.420 whether they die by abortion or they die by miscarriage,

00:34:03.960 that through the mercy and the grace of God,

00:34:07.420 that those babies get to go to glory.

00:34:12.300 But those babies do not then come back.

00:34:16.160 It's also not true.

00:34:17.440 And I know a lot of us use this kind of explanation to talk to our kids,

00:34:21.360 but it's not true that there are souls waiting in heaven to be called down,

00:34:25.880 or that they choose our parents.

00:34:28.600 That's just not how it works.

00:34:30.280 It's only God who is eternal, who has been forever outside of time,

00:34:38.840 that God actually created time.

00:34:40.820 And so these are not eternal beings.

00:34:43.400 Even angels aren't eternal beings.

00:34:45.560 They were created beings.

00:34:46.960 God is the only uncreated one.

00:34:49.220 And so this idea of babies just kind of waiting for the stork to carry them down,

00:34:54.340 that's more of like a fantastical idea, in some ways a new age idea.

00:34:59.460 Again, it doesn't surprise me that someone like Megan Fox believes that.

00:35:04.940 And maybe it seems like that's innocent,

00:35:07.760 but it is never innocent to mess with anything that has to do with spiritism or paganism or mediums.

00:35:15.500 You'll remember that in scripture,

00:35:19.040 God strictly forbids his people to participate in seances, in necromancy,

00:35:25.200 so trying to talk with the dead.

00:35:27.000 You can see this in the Old and the New Testament.

00:35:29.360 Leviticus 19.31, actually this was punishable by death.

00:35:33.400 Galatians 5.20, 2 Chronicles 33.6.

00:35:38.360 Hebrews 9.7 is what tells us that the spirits of men face judgment after death.

00:35:43.640 And we know that Satan is the deceiver.

00:35:47.060 He is also the accuser.

00:35:48.800 We read in John 8.44 that he lies to mankind.

00:35:53.080 And he, of course, wants us to be communicating with the other side,

00:35:57.440 to think that we are communicating with power,

00:36:00.300 because that takes our eyes off of Christ,

00:36:02.720 the only real source of goodness and righteousness and power and satisfaction.

00:36:06.840 But it also gets us in communication with demons.

00:36:10.380 Because when people say they've talked to the dead

00:36:13.980 or when they've talked to a spirit,

00:36:16.820 they are communicating with demons.

00:36:19.660 And that's not something that we should mess with.

00:36:22.600 That is, again, something that is very real.

00:36:27.160 And so it actually matters how we talk about life inside the womb

00:36:32.460 and how we talk about people after they die.

00:36:34.800 They don't become angels after they die.

00:36:38.420 They weren't angels before they were born.

00:36:41.840 It's important because how we think of God

00:36:44.560 and his specialness as the uncreated one,

00:36:49.040 how we think of his power and who we are in relation to his character and power,

00:36:55.180 that all really matters for how we see and understand the world.

00:36:59.600 Now, congratulations to Megan Fox for having a child.

00:37:05.780 I really would like her to be saved.

00:37:08.100 It seems like she is one of these people

00:37:10.140 who is constantly seeking and never arriving at the knowledge of truth.

00:37:16.240 She really does seem to worship at the altar of the God of self,

00:37:20.900 and that will always lead to destruction.

00:37:24.020 It always has.

00:37:25.640 In the cult of self-affirmation, the two highest values are autonomy and authenticity,

00:37:32.620 which can both be good when they're in submission to Christ,

00:37:37.740 but when they're only in submission to the self, they justify sin.

00:37:42.160 They justify just being your authentic self, identifying however you want to,

00:37:47.500 practicing your autonomy, even killing your own baby in the name of autonomy.

00:37:53.120 And so everything has to be in subjection and submission to Christ

00:37:59.600 in order to be good, in order to be beneficial.

00:38:03.500 And so that tiny little caption really set me off on thinking a lot

00:38:07.820 about how we think about babies, how we think about life.

00:38:11.500 Those babies inside the womb matter.

00:38:13.360 Those embryos matter. 0.67

00:38:15.180 They are ensouled image bearers of God,

00:38:17.980 but reincarnation is not something that we should believe in,

00:38:21.020 certainly not put our hope in.

00:38:23.580 We put our hope in the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

00:38:26.700 who overcame death once and for all.

00:38:30.020 That is not something that we do on our own.

00:38:32.300 That is something that we get to accomplish by grace through faith in Christ.

00:38:36.940 Let me pause and tell you about our next sponsor for the day.

00:38:38.980 Speaking of the value of babies inside the womb, 0.77

00:38:41.940 that is pre-born.

00:38:43.440 Y'all, we are so excited that Trump won,

00:38:45.700 which means that even though he is not as pro-life as we want him to be,

00:38:49.840 that means that states will be allowed to continue to have legislation

00:38:56.960 that protects the dignity of babies inside the womb,

00:39:01.880 that protects their lives.

00:39:03.900 But unfortunately, in several states across the country,

00:39:06.940 like Missouri and Arizona,

00:39:08.380 measures were passed that enshrines abortion as a right through all nine months.

00:39:13.520 That means the abortion industry is going to be thriving in those states,

00:39:17.400 in several other states.

00:39:18.720 And so you want to make sure that you are doing whatever you can

00:39:21.620 to protect those babies,

00:39:23.240 to provide pregnant moms with life-saving tools like sonograms

00:39:31.100 so they can see those babies and hear those babies inside the womb. 0.93

00:39:34.100 They're so much more likely to choose life when they do.

00:39:36.500 That's what pre-born, 0.99

00:39:37.520 a network of clinics provides for these moms, 1.00

00:39:40.780 as well as lots of baby items for them once the baby is born.

00:39:45.200 Go to preborn.com slash Allie.

00:39:48.860 If you donate just $28,

00:39:51.340 you cover the cost of an ultrasound.

00:39:53.120 If you want to cover the cost of an entire ultrasound machine,

00:39:56.600 which would save countless lives of unborn babies,

00:39:59.460 you can make a huge donation of $15,000.

00:40:03.240 If that's a way that God has blessed you financially,

00:40:06.100 and that's how you want to use your finances,

00:40:07.760 that would literally save thousands and thousands of unborn lives.

00:40:13.640 Go to preborn.com slash Allie to make your donation. 0.98

00:40:21.160 All right, we've got to share the arrows story,

00:40:24.400 and I'm hoping to be able to get the owner of this company,

00:40:28.420 of this restaurant on the show on Thursday.

00:40:30.740 So I don't want to tell you the entire story

00:40:32.440 because I want you to be able to hear it from this person.

00:40:35.060 We actually tried to get Matt on today.

00:40:36.940 We were unable to.

00:40:38.140 There were just some tech issues.

00:40:40.000 But let me go ahead and tell you a little bit about the story

00:40:42.320 so you can go ahead and send them your message of encouragement

00:40:45.420 because they absolutely need it.

00:40:47.140 So Matt and his wife, Ashley,

00:40:49.220 own a restaurant called Movable Feast.

00:40:52.180 It's a neighborhood cafe and catering company

00:40:54.660 that responsibly sources their ingredients

00:40:56.480 from local growers in their own farm.

00:40:58.360 It's very popular in Wheaton, Illinois.

00:41:01.120 They use all types of really good ingredients,

00:41:04.800 and this is just their passion.

00:41:07.640 They've got four kids,

00:41:09.340 and they are just a sweet family

00:41:13.440 that owns this company that serves their community really well.

00:41:18.840 But they are receiving huge backlash right now

00:41:22.760 because several citizens in Wheaton, Illinois,

00:41:26.880 are upset by a sign that they hung in front of their restaurant.

00:41:36.540 It says,

00:41:36.920 Jesus is my savior.

00:41:39.320 Trump is my president.

00:41:41.040 And then another sign that says,

00:41:44.000 Make America healthy again.

00:41:47.960 Okay?

00:41:48.740 So that was very bold.

00:41:50.880 They didn't have to do that,

00:41:52.300 but they decided that they were going to take a stand

00:41:54.880 for the things that they believe in.

00:41:56.620 Of course, they knew there would be backlash,

00:41:58.720 but they did it anyway.

00:42:00.240 Since adding the banner,

00:42:01.940 Marquez, their last name,

00:42:04.120 said that they've received more than 500 hateful messages,

00:42:07.520 and that was several days ago.

00:42:08.940 And so let me read you some of these messages.

00:42:11.500 I'm obviously, and we can put the picture up too.

00:42:13.880 I'm not going to read the words out loud. 0.80

00:42:17.100 F you. 0.99

00:42:17.780 You've lost my business. 0.98

00:42:19.900 Another message,

00:42:20.880 I really appreciate when racists announce themselves.

00:42:24.380 Another message,

00:42:25.540 I won't be spending my money at your establishment.

00:42:27.920 I'll let my friends and family know

00:42:29.680 not to give money to someone 0.99

00:42:31.720 who supports a convicted felon and sexual predator. 0.99

00:42:35.920 Let's see. 1.00

00:42:36.620 Another message,

00:42:37.320 I bet you ate paint chips as a child.

00:42:40.380 Why would you bring politics into your business?

00:42:42.100 No wonder you've been struggling.

00:42:43.980 No one's going to feel bad for you

00:42:45.320 when you go under.

00:42:47.820 I think you need Bible school,

00:42:50.100 someone else says.

00:42:52.160 On the contrary,

00:42:53.020 Marquez says that his business is up almost 50%

00:42:56.400 since putting up the banner.

00:42:58.420 So they are standing strong.

00:43:00.900 He said that his family has been threatened,

00:43:02.960 has been bullied,

00:43:03.720 has been reported to the health department

00:43:06.220 over 10 threats to sue them

00:43:08.340 and to make every attempt to put us out of business

00:43:11.000 no matter the cost.

00:43:12.760 We are a Christian family

00:43:14.880 trying to love people,

00:43:16.040 serve great healthy food.

00:43:17.580 Now, maybe you don't agree with them

00:43:19.240 putting their banner up.

00:43:20.060 Maybe you think it was a bad business idea.

00:43:21.700 That is totally beside the point.

00:43:23.600 This is the United States.

00:43:25.040 We just had a president

00:43:25.860 that won the popular vote

00:43:27.240 and won over 300 electoral votes.

00:43:31.840 Yeah, you're going to limit liberals.

00:43:33.560 You're going to be around people

00:43:35.280 that voted for him.

00:43:36.340 You are.

00:43:37.220 Everyone is a suspect at this point.

00:43:38.980 So if you want to avoid Trump voters,

00:43:41.700 then maybe you should just stay inside.

00:43:43.640 The fact that you cannot handle

00:43:47.060 just disagreement,

00:43:49.840 basic disagreement

00:43:51.300 with your fellow Americans

00:43:54.220 over half of your fellow Americans,

00:43:57.340 that's a you problem.

00:43:58.740 Okay, that's not an us problem.

00:44:00.340 We do not have to bend

00:44:01.780 and cater to your hurt feelings

00:44:04.200 or even your strongly held convictions.

00:44:06.280 You are free to have those.

00:44:08.980 So again, going back to yesterday,

00:44:11.460 when I hear from people that,

00:44:13.540 oh, well, you shouldn't gloat.

00:44:16.220 You shouldn't celebrate.

00:44:17.920 You shouldn't be happy.

00:44:18.940 Remember, other people are sad.

00:44:21.480 Okay, well, we had a FEMA supervisor

00:44:23.860 tell her employees at FEMA

00:44:28.160 not to help houses in Florida

00:44:31.100 in the wake of Hurricane Milton

00:44:32.720 that had Trump signs in front of them.

00:44:34.900 And so we're talking elderly Trump voters

00:44:37.440 who didn't have electricity

00:44:38.720 going on 36 hours

00:44:40.820 who desperately needed life-saving help.

00:44:43.720 They did not get help from FEMA

00:44:45.800 because they had a Trump sign.

00:44:49.660 These people are getting threats

00:44:51.320 to their family,

00:44:53.160 threats to ruin their lives

00:44:54.860 and livelihoods

00:44:55.980 because they hung a banner

00:44:57.380 supporting Donald Trump

00:44:58.960 in front of their own restaurant.

00:45:01.920 Huh, I wonder why you guys lost.

00:45:05.080 It's such a mystery.

00:45:07.480 I just, I can't put my finger on it.

00:45:09.800 You guys are so likable

00:45:11.000 and so kind

00:45:12.460 and just so accepting.

00:45:15.400 I can't, I just,

00:45:16.660 I can't understand

00:45:17.820 why people don't like you guys.

00:45:19.600 Why people don't want

00:45:21.100 to put you in power

00:45:22.320 because we see what you do

00:45:24.040 when you're out of power.

00:45:25.380 You think we want to put

00:45:27.820 your hand on the lever?

00:45:30.560 No, no.

00:45:31.560 We want to keep you guys

00:45:32.920 as far away

00:45:34.280 from the halls of power

00:45:35.980 as we possibly can.

00:45:38.340 And thank goodness

00:45:39.380 we've got a GOP trifecta

00:45:41.600 at least in Washington

00:45:43.060 and we are going to continue

00:45:44.740 to take over the school boards

00:45:46.380 and the local governments

00:45:47.900 as much as we possibly can

00:45:49.660 because people that send messages

00:45:51.180 like this,

00:45:52.260 people like that FEMA supervisor

00:45:54.200 do not deserve

00:45:55.560 to be anywhere near

00:45:57.940 the halls of power

00:45:59.160 or anywhere near children.

00:46:02.160 And so take your hate

00:46:03.340 and your bitterness

00:46:04.440 and go sit on your couch

00:46:06.620 and pout about it.

00:46:08.920 You can have your,

00:46:10.120 as my father-in-law says,

00:46:12.360 poke rolls and grits.

00:46:13.780 If you're hungry

00:46:14.960 and there's nothing to eat,

00:46:15.980 you can eat poke rolls and grits

00:46:17.560 and that means you can

00:46:18.920 poke your lip out

00:46:20.320 and you can grit your teeth

00:46:21.480 and you can just be mad about it

00:46:23.500 and you can eat your humble pie

00:46:25.260 that should taste very bitter

00:46:28.840 in the wake of the loss

00:46:30.300 that you guys just had

00:46:31.460 because many of you,

00:46:32.440 I'm not saying all Democrats at all,

00:46:34.380 I'm not even saying

00:46:35.440 all progressive activists,

00:46:37.280 but people like this,

00:46:38.380 stories like this are so common. 1.00

00:46:39.780 You guys are horrible people. 0.90

00:46:41.820 You need Jesus. 1.00

00:46:43.040 You do.

00:46:44.300 Because I don't see this kind of stuff

00:46:46.080 on the other side.

00:46:46.820 I'm not saying there aren't 0.91

00:46:47.640 hateful Republicans.

00:46:48.740 Of course there are, 0.66

00:46:50.260 but it just seems like

00:46:51.780 this stuff predominantly happens

00:46:53.980 on the left side.

00:46:55.180 So maybe it's time

00:46:56.220 for a little self-reflection

00:46:57.600 and evaluation

00:46:58.780 of your belief system.

00:47:01.500 Come on.

00:47:02.400 So go to their Instagram.

00:47:05.280 It's movablefeastco.

00:47:07.220 Go to their Instagram, guys.

00:47:09.300 Share the arrows with them.

00:47:10.940 If you live in that area

00:47:12.360 or if you live in driving distance,

00:47:14.940 go to them

00:47:15.720 and eat some food there.

00:47:18.300 I'm sure it's really good

00:47:19.620 and go message them

00:47:21.320 some encouragement.

00:47:22.200 Pray for them.

00:47:23.060 Share the arrows with them.

00:47:24.240 That's what this is all about.

00:47:25.280 If we can get Matt on the show,

00:47:26.600 hopefully we will.

00:47:27.760 Okay.

00:48:20.160 It is a great defense.

00:48:21.580 I think if I do say so myself,
