Relatable with Allie Beth Stuckey - Ep 175 ｜ LGBTQ Town Hall Disaster

00:00:00.000 hey guys welcome to relatable i hope that you guys are having a great week happy wednesday today we

00:00:05.640 are going to talk about the lgbtq town hall i know that we're like a week late but we're going to

00:00:11.500 talk about what the democrats think of people who believe in the bible's definition of marriage

00:00:15.600 which is an exclusive relationship between one man and one woman if you're curious about that

00:00:20.960 subject and why christians believe marriage is between one man and one woman you can go back

00:00:25.680 to an episode titled biblical marriage and i explain from a biblical perspective why that is

00:00:33.700 the case why god set it up that way and why it is so important and foundational to our faith i know

00:00:39.020 that we are talking about this um just a little bit late it's been covered by a lot of different

00:00:43.900 people but it is still circulating in the media and for good reason the reason is this this is where

00:00:51.080 conservatives have said that the left is going for a long time when it comes to not just condescension

00:00:55.760 of people with traditional values but legal restriction of people and organizations

00:00:59.960 with traditional values we have seen the writing on the wall since the obergefell decision in 2015

00:01:05.720 claiming that same-sex marriage is a human right um we have been able to see that soon our religious

00:01:12.160 liberty will be at stake in light of that decision uh and we were right okay so like i said christians

00:01:18.780 and people of traditional values that have all kinds of religions but typically it's evangelical

00:01:23.580 christians who are kind of in the crosshairs of this kind of conversation uh we've been saying for

00:01:28.960 a long time okay our religious liberty is at stake if we view same-sex marriage as a fundamental right 0.82

00:01:34.620 churches will not long be able to exercise their freedom of religion or there will be some tension

00:01:39.560 between freedom of religious expression our first amendment rights and the right of same-sex couples

00:01:44.540 to get married we have seen that tension uh a lot over the past few years and uh there was a line

00:01:51.380 by presidential candidate beto o'rourke that really just brought it home do you think religious

00:01:57.100 institutions uh like colleges churches charities should they lose their tax-exempt status if they

00:02:03.300 oppose same-sex marriage yes there can be no reward no benefit no tax break for anyone or any institution

00:02:12.600 any organization in america that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every

00:02:18.400 single one of us and so as president we're going to make that a priority and we are going to stop

00:02:23.100 those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow americans so this means that churches 0.88

00:02:28.240 synagogues mosques religious non-profits would lose tax exemption status which they currently enjoy

00:02:33.860 if they oppose same-sex marriage and he doesn't say uh discriminate against uh a gay couple or gay

00:02:41.120 people in hiring which also religious organizations are allowed to do but to um but just oppose same-sex

00:02:47.560 marriage in general so what does oppose actually mean does that mean uh that a church couldn't preach

00:02:52.980 against homosexuality does that mean refuse to perform same-sex weddings uh what does that mean

00:02:58.600 and how are they planning to accomplish it constitutionally uh since obergefell like i was saying earlier

00:03:04.880 christians have been asking how will this decision affect religious liberty which is not by definition just

00:03:10.920 a christian or a conservative value but a constitutional right if same-sex marriage

00:03:16.620 according to the court in 2015 is also now a right uh which one is going to have to give way when the

00:03:23.800 two come in conflict how will churches and religious organizations be able to legally avoid embracing it

00:03:30.400 uh the dissent in obergefell 2015 brought up these exact concerns these are not new concerns that people

00:03:36.480 are having the dissent knew that this was coming uh it probably has come more quickly than they thought

00:03:42.840 that it was going to it's only been four years since this decision um and they knew back then that this

00:03:48.820 battle was ahead so this is what chief justice john roberts wrote in his dissent in obergefell

00:03:54.220 hard questions arrive when people arise when people of faith exercise religion in ways that may seem to be seen

00:04:00.740 in conflict with a new right to same-sex marriage when for example a religious college provides married

00:04:06.700 student housing only to opposite-sex married couples or religious adoption agency declines to place children

00:04:12.380 with same-sex married couples indeed the solicitor general candidly acknowledged that the tax exemptions of

00:04:19.460 some religious institutions would be in question if they oppose same-sex marriage um there is little doubt that

00:04:27.640 these and similar questions will soon be before this court unfortunately he says people of faith can take no

00:04:35.120 comfort in the treatment they receive from the majority today clarence thomas then said this in his dissent

00:04:41.400 in our society marriage is not simply a governmental institution it is a religious institution as well today's

00:04:48.520 decision uh might change the former but it cannot change the latter it appears all but inevitable that the two will

00:04:55.240 come into conflict particularly as individuals and churches are confronted with demands to participate in

00:05:01.160 and endorse civil marriages between same-sex couples this is the problem with the government getting involved in

00:05:08.320 marriage at all um it was not originally a civil agreement marriage was a religious covenant it was a religious

00:05:17.280 uh association it was defined by the bible this is not something that is supposed to be defined by the

00:05:24.240 uh no matter where you stand though on same-sex marriage obergefell was a horribly decided case no

00:05:31.320 matter where you stand on it uh thomas articulates one of the reasons why i had the majority allowed the

00:05:36.720 definition of marriage to be left to the political process as the constitution requires the people could

00:05:42.280 have considered their religious liberty implications of deviating from the traditional definition as part of

00:05:47.660 their deliberative process instead the majority's decision short circuits that process with potentially

00:05:52.840 ruinous consequences for religious liberty and still the left said in 2015 oh calm down you religious 0.99

00:05:59.760 archaic christian bigots no one is bothering you this has nothing to do with you if you don't want gay 0.99

00:06:05.380 people to get married then just don't be gay yourself this doesn't affect you at all your precious 0.98

00:06:10.060 liberty is fine it has taken four years four years that's a short amount of time only four years for a

00:06:16.860 democratic candidate for the president of the united states to say outright that yes if a religious

00:06:21.640 organization opposes same-sex marriage just opposes it they will no longer have tax exemption status which

00:06:27.880 means effectively the organization is going to be punished punished by the government for not aligning

00:06:33.900 with its definition of marriage which of course is unconstitutional this is what they hope to do

00:06:39.640 um this is a a definition of marriage by the way that is only i've said this a few times now that is

00:06:47.260 only four years old this new definition as between a man and a man or a woman or a woman of marriage

00:06:54.640 is four years old as uh as opposed to the traditional definition of marriage which is thousands of years

00:07:01.480 old if christians who have held the same orthodox beliefs about marriage for millennia are being told that

00:07:08.380 if you don't right now hop onto this train of progressivism which less than five years ago

00:07:15.380 redefined marriage as something that it has never been defined as then you are in trouble

00:07:21.220 and lest you think this is just crazy bedo uh yelling into the wind remember remember that the equality act

00:07:29.680 which is the democrats darling legislation that will not pass through the republican-controlled senate

00:07:34.420 right now but is going to be uh it's going to be held on to it's going to be pushed until it is

00:07:40.740 passed i guarantee you um in the years to come basically affirms the direction that bedo is headed

00:07:46.100 episode 115 covers the equality act in full but let me remind you what the equality act actually does

00:07:52.980 it makes irrelevant any religious or conscience exemptions for doctors um under this bill a doctor is

00:07:58.660 required to perform same sex uh or same sex sex change surgery and provide hormone therapy even

00:08:05.620 to children uh now they can maybe find protection under the free exercise arguments or other conscience

00:08:11.020 objection legislation but that's really unsure under the equality act uh religious schools would be

00:08:16.600 regulated under this act even if they take no funding from the federal government meaning they could

00:08:21.880 not choose to uh not hire or fire a teacher for example who is in a gay relationship or who was

00:08:27.940 transitioning you might not agree what these religious schools views but christian schools

00:08:33.900 operate under the bible and the bible is clear about marriage and gender and so by regulating them by the

00:08:40.400 government regulating them you are forcing them to ignore and condone uh what the bible says is sin

00:08:47.240 that is the opposite of religious liberty that is tyranny you can see that whether you're a christian or not

00:08:52.600 uh there is a supreme court case employment division versus smith that held that religious dissenter

00:08:57.900 are subject to are uh subject to generally applicable laws which means under the equality act there would

00:09:03.860 be very little uh some but very little recourse uh for religious people who object to these laws

00:09:10.740 also under the equality act athletic teams would be forced to allow transgender boys and girls

00:09:16.380 to compete on athletic teams that correspond with their gender identity rather than their biological sex

00:09:22.660 the law actually says that individuals cannot be denied access to a locker room or dressing room

00:09:29.780 no matter their gender or their gender identity the act also says that sexual orientation and gender

00:09:36.520 identity are protected classes of people as race and sex already are the supreme court is currently

00:09:42.700 deliberating on a case that would make sexual orientation and gender identity protected classes

00:09:47.500 um this likely means that private places of employment and religious organizations and religious schools

00:09:54.500 will be prohibited from choosing not to hire someone based on their gender identity or sexual orientation

00:10:00.600 the reason why that is different than not hiring someone based on their race or sex which we would

00:10:06.460 consider immoral the reason it's different not to hire someone as a religious organization based on their

00:10:11.300 sexual orientation or gender identity is because there is a moral component to it

00:10:15.540 there is a biblical component to it because as i've already said god already set up what marriage was

00:10:22.440 god already set up what gender and sex was in the bible uh there is no question on that so if you

00:10:29.100 have a biblical worldview there would be a moral and biblical reason not to hire someone who is

00:10:34.180 transgender or not to hire someone who is in a same-sex relationship you don't have to agree with that 0.67

00:10:39.420 if you're not a christian or if you don't hold this worldview i don't expect you to agree with that

00:10:43.640 but people who do have that worldview should have the freedom to exercise their religion as they see

00:10:48.720 fit um and if you think this won't soon apply to the curriculum that's taught in these private schools

00:10:54.900 and these christian schools you are crazy i promise you that christian schools are not immune from this

00:10:59.520 the goal is total and absolute control of the schools control of the churches a control of what is 0.98

00:11:06.980 taught in what is preached that is the goal uh and they justify these totalitarian tactics by saying

00:11:13.860 that they are limiting practices that quote harm people but harm in their terms actually just means

00:11:20.400 offend because the left the the leftist dogma the leftist point of view believes that the lgbtq

00:11:27.060 community and other minority groups have a right not to be offended and that right trumps your 1.00

00:11:34.020 constitutional right to free exercise of religion to teach your kids what you want to teach them

00:11:38.840 to preach to preach to your converse uh congregation what you want to preach to them

00:11:42.940 that is not a slippery slope fallacy if you think that the liberals like beto only want to decimate

00:11:48.660 one part of the first amendment the free uh exercise part and not another part of the first amendment

00:11:54.220 the free speech part then you are kidding yourself and i've heard people say well oh this is just beto

00:11:59.380 he is just crazy yes he is crazy but so are the rest of the candidates on stage he was just the

00:12:05.380 only one brave enough to clearly articulate what they're all thinking here is what elizabeth 0.98

00:12:10.180 warren has to say about people who believe in traditional marriage i'm old-fashioned and my faith

00:12:16.240 teaches me that marriage is between one man and one woman what is your response well i'm gonna assume

00:12:22.680 it's a guy who said that and i'm gonna say then just marry one woman i'm cool with that assuming you

00:12:32.040 can find one so this is what liz warren thinks uh one that only men apparently believe in biblical

00:12:39.100 marriage so that would mean that only men are orthodox christians only men believe in the

00:12:44.680 sufficiency and the inerrancy of scripture we're right here liz you're welcome to come on the podcast

00:12:49.100 there are hundreds of thousands of women in this country alone who believe that god defined

00:12:54.180 marriage is between a man and a woman and that he did that purposefully again you should go back and

00:12:59.040 listen to uh the biblical marriage episode if you want to know why liz warren you are uh totally welcome 0.95

00:13:05.440 to do that but to her if you believe in the orthodox view of marriage then you are completely repugnant 0.90

00:13:13.080 no one would ever want to marry you uh you are so unattractive to any potential spouse uh because 0.95

00:13:21.840 of your religious beliefs if that's not bigotry i don't know what is that's what all of these

00:13:28.120 candidates think of you if you allow the bible to shape your worldview which automatically and 0.88

00:13:34.900 unquestionably includes the definition of marriage is between one man and one woman then you are gross to 1.00

00:13:40.380 them you're gross you're gross you're disgusting you are embarrassing remember when we talked about 0.99

00:13:45.740 taylor swift's music video you need to calm down in which she told all of us to calm down because we 0.99

00:13:51.660 believe in the definition of marriage that has existed for thousands of years that was authored by

00:13:57.140 the creator of the universe yeah that's what they all think that we just need to calm down but the

00:14:01.880 reality is i i don't think it's us that's really we're not the ones that are losing our cool what we saw

00:14:07.180 from the stage at the lgbtq town hall uh was that this is a religion progressivism is a religion and

00:14:14.600 if you for one second go out of their orthodoxy which has only been around for a few years if you

00:14:20.100 for one second blaspheme them if you for one second don't bow down to their god of progressivism then

00:14:28.820 you are a heretic and you will be excommunicated you will be punished you will be thrown out 1.00

00:14:35.560 you will be regarded as a social pariah and you will also lose your tax exemption status

00:14:42.200 if you are a church who holds to a biblical definition of marriage that's what they think

00:14:46.940 of you joe biden the so-called a moderate of the group said this the american people are better

00:14:54.140 than we give them credit for but we allow we allow the homophobes to be able to control the agenda

00:15:00.860 so homophobes phobia means that you have an irrational fear of something so he's saying

00:15:06.660 that people again who believe in the bible have an irrational fear of gay people which isn't true

00:15:11.660 at all just remember that he was the vice president for the guy who said in 2008 in 2008 like that's not

00:15:18.240 that long ago guys that's 11 years ago just a little over a decade ago barack obama said that

00:15:23.460 he believes that marriage is between one man and one woman that shows you just how fast this revolution

00:15:31.160 has gone this gender and sexual revolution has gone over the past 10 years and we are being told

00:15:37.360 if you don't get on this crazy train right now that's going a million miles a minute not knowing

00:15:41.680 where the heck it's going by the way then you're wrong you're on the wrong side of the tracks you're 0.53

00:15:46.660 on the wrong side of history and we will make you pay uh christians need to learn something

00:15:52.360 christians need to learn that the democrats for the most part today not all democrats for sure but

00:15:58.720 the democrats represented on this stage the democrats that are represented in the media they don't like

00:16:03.800 you they don't like you they hate you they hate your worldview they hate your bible they hate your

00:16:09.980 beliefs therefore they hate your god they hate what you think and they will only accept you if you are 0.56

00:16:16.160 christian the left will only accept you if you water down your faith so much to the point where

00:16:22.060 you're basically an agnostic who uses the name of jesus when it's convenient for you those are the

00:16:27.180 only kinds of christians and really the only kinds of religious people that they really like

00:16:31.580 any kind of religious person so whether you are jewish or a muslim who actually holds to the

00:16:37.160 tenets of their faith uh which happened to be pretty traditional when it comes to marriage

00:16:42.320 obviously those three religions differ on a whole lot but traditional when it comes to marriage if

00:16:47.040 you actually hold to that well then there's a huge problem no the left wants you to be an agnostic

00:16:53.040 who just believes in the culturally convenient and the socially acceptable parts of your faith

00:16:59.540 they hate you if you disagree with them they will call you a bigot they will punish you legally

00:17:04.580 they don't believe in your right to think or say or believe what you want and they will come for

00:17:09.260 your freedoms they will come for your kids schools and they will probably in our lifetimes come for

00:17:14.360 your kids they will not believe that you have a right to raise your kids how you want to raise them

00:17:19.620 because they will say you're harming your kids this is bigoted this is uh some form of emotional

00:17:26.340 or gender abuse because you say that marriage is between a man and a woman and your biological sex

00:17:31.960 actually determines your gender they will say this is wrong they will come for your children 1.00

00:17:35.820 okay so if you want to know if you want to know this is not fear mongering by the way the writing

00:17:40.560 is on the wall in the same way that this tax exemption a tax exemption taken away was uh was

00:17:46.020 written on the wall a few years ago and all christians said that it was going to happen and now

00:17:49.520 it is actually talked about openly that it is going to happen or the democrats wanted to happen

00:17:54.380 the writing is on the wall it's not fear mongering um and if you want to know guys

00:17:59.400 why evangelical christians support donald trump this is why i'm so tired of hearing from people 0.74

00:18:08.100 christians and non-christians alike how can evangelicals support donald trump he is so immoral 0.99

00:18:13.080 he has you know married so many women he has been sexually promiscuous he says terrible things and 0.96

00:18:21.320 it's all true it's all true and i'm not saying that we shouldn't care about those things or we

00:18:25.360 shouldn't call those things sin because they are sin we should disapprove of those things we do not

00:18:30.240 support donald trump because he is christ-like we don't support donald trump because he's perfect or

00:18:35.580 we want him to be our pastor we support donald trump because unlike all the democrats he's not going

00:18:40.160 at uh he's not going to war with evangelical christians he is not trying to take away our freedom

00:18:45.560 he is not trying to stand in the way of our liberty he's not telling us what to preach or what to teach our

00:18:50.080 kids he's not saying that he's going to take away the tax exemption status from churches

00:18:54.140 who believe in traditional marriage that is why evangelical christians support donald trump

00:19:00.960 because at least he's going to leave us alone at least he believes in religious liberty at least

00:19:07.420 his administration is fighting for religious liberty so if you want to know if you want to know why

00:19:13.340 evangelical christians keep voting for this guy it's not because we think he's our messiah at least i'm

00:19:19.140 speaking for myself and the people that i know that support him it's not because we think he's perfect

00:19:23.900 it's because at least he's going to protect our liberty at least he doesn't hate us like at least

00:19:28.960 he doesn't condescend us at least he doesn't demonize us at least he doesn't say that our

00:19:33.760 sincerely held beliefs are bigotry and discount them is not real and validate them as a way to

00:19:38.900 hate people because that's not what they are at least it's not elizabeth warren like these democrats 0.80

00:19:44.280 at the town hall that we're talking about just made clip after clip of trump campaign commercials

00:19:52.160 this is what they think of you religious people this is what they think of you christians they hate 0.98

00:19:57.300 you they hate you they patronize you they think you're gross they think you're archaic they think 0.99

00:20:02.060 there's no way that you've ever thought for yourself that there's no way that you could possibly be

00:20:06.020 intellectual that you could possibly be genuine in your faith that you are just a westboro

00:20:11.020 baptist christian that hates people they couldn't possibly understand how you can love people and

00:20:16.800 disagree with their sin why because their religion of progressivism refuses to let them see the world

00:20:23.580 that way i want to play you another clip of cory booker he says that he is going to go after schools

00:20:32.060 that deny lgbtq students equality and i will number one change the trump administration's guidance

00:20:39.020 back to what the obama administration's guidance was that schools could allow people to use the

00:20:46.540 bathrooms that conforms with their gender identity but we cannot stop there we must use our department

00:20:52.580 of justice and our department of education's civil rights division to go after schools that are

00:20:57.920 denying people equal rights and equal protections so this is what i mean when i say that democrats

00:21:04.020 have placed themselves um in opposition to churches and i think that this is a huge mistake for their

00:21:12.500 part i think that this is going to cost to them the election because they think this is what

00:21:19.740 unfortunately people in the leftist media people in dc people in new york and in san francisco and la

00:21:26.200 they assume that most of the country thinks the way they do like most of the country is just as

00:21:32.360 extreme as they are that no one really believes in traditional marriage like no one believes really

00:21:38.360 the biological sex corresponds with gender that's just a of a tiny little sliver of people and they're 0.99

00:21:43.940 going to be extinct pretty soon there's certainly no young people that believe that way anyone who is

00:21:48.760 in any way sophisticated or who has been educated at all or who is under the age of 60 they are all on

00:21:56.080 the right side of history and they believe in this gender and sexual revolution and so they think that

00:22:01.420 they can get away with saying things that we're going to go after christian schools i don't think

00:22:06.100 that they recognize the ire of parents in suburbia like i don't think that they recognize that there are

00:22:13.180 a lot of christian women who for a while maybe they were kind of considering voting democrat because you 0.89

00:22:18.460 know what they don't like president trump and uh they don't like what's going on at the border

00:22:24.020 and they kind of just think the whole trumpian thing the whole um demonization of the press is

00:22:31.880 uncouth they are just not attracted to his style there might have been some suburban moms who 1.00

00:22:37.980 previously voted republican who were thinking about voting democrat in fact we know that's kind of been

00:22:43.180 a movement he's just not attractive to suburban moms you start telling start telling suburban moms that

00:22:49.500 you're going to infiltrate their schools start telling suburban moms that you're going to start 1.00

00:22:53.820 telling them what they can teach their kids start telling christian suburban moms that you are not

00:22:59.600 going to allow their pastor to preach what they want to preach about marriage start infiltrating

00:23:04.200 our belief system start start infiltrating uh our private schools start messing with our kids

00:23:09.780 start indoctrinating our kids see how long that lasts i think you underestimate the passion

00:23:15.900 and the protectiveness of suburban christian moms this will start a war in this country this will start 1.00

00:23:23.160 a war in this country if you try if you try to influence our kids through indoctrinating them at

00:23:31.080 school or a church or whatever if you mess with our private institutions that we have worked very hard

00:23:36.380 uh to protect and to protect the religious liberty of you will start a war you will and actually pete

00:23:43.040 buddha judge uh he said that in a way he was talking he was answering a question about better

00:23:49.040 or work saying that he was going to take away the tax exemption status he said that i agree that

00:23:54.040 anti-discrimination law ought to be applied to all institutions but the idea that you're going to 0.98

00:23:58.240 strip churches of their tax-exempt status if they haven't found their way toward blessing same-sex

00:24:02.580 marriage i'm not sure uh he understood the implications of what he was saying i mean that means not only going to

00:24:09.420 war with churches but i would think with mosques and a lot of organizations that may not have the

00:24:14.240 same view of various religious principles that i do but also because of the separation of church and

00:24:18.740 state are acknowledged uh so if we want to talk about anti-discrimination law for school or organization

00:24:23.780 absolutely they should not be able to discriminate i'm not going to keep going on that so at first i was

00:24:29.240 thinking okay pete buddha judge good for him i think i would say this is part good for him at least he

00:24:33.820 understands politically that this is not very savvy uh to say that you're going to punish churches he

00:24:39.720 might be on the left side of the theological and the political aisle but he at least understands that

00:24:44.460 that's probably not the best way to go now do i think in practice he would advocate for something

00:24:49.080 like the equality act of course i do and do i think that he really cares too much about religious liberty

00:24:53.960 uh no i don't but he did bring up a good point about the separation of church and state and he actually

00:24:58.740 used it for once uh someone on the left used it in the right context the separation of church and

00:25:03.660 state first of all it's not in the constitution but it is a principle that is supposed to protect

00:25:08.520 the church from the state not the state from the church it's supposed to protect the church from the

00:25:13.360 state not the state from the church of course uh we have the first amendment that uh prohibits the

00:25:19.060 government from establishing a national religion but the separation of church and state was supposed to

00:25:24.820 protect the pulpit from the government saying what you can and can't say how you can and can't act

00:25:30.020 what you can and can't believe and he's right about that uh the separation of church and state is a

00:25:35.480 principle that is important not primarily for the state not primarily for the government it's not meant

00:25:40.580 to restrict religious people from believing what we want to believe but restricting the state from 0.77

00:25:45.920 infringing upon the rights of the church and that is what is at stake here the fact of the matter is

00:25:51.660 religious liberty and individual liberty is not a value that the left has they're not interested in

00:25:57.640 freedom they're not interested in liberty they're interested in control that is why they are advocating

00:26:02.420 now for socialism they would rather have forced equal mediocrity than unequal levels of wealth on

00:26:09.280 equal levels of success they want everything to be controlled in their minds they think that if they

00:26:14.280 can control everything if they can control all the variables then we will be in this equal utopia and

00:26:20.000 everyone will be happy and that includes a controlling religion and what is actually said they do not

00:26:25.720 believe in individual liberty that is not a value that they have individual liberty for them is a

00:26:30.720 culprit in inequality and a culprit in oppression and so in order to uh rid america of oppression which

00:26:37.660 of course is never going to happen because the world is sinful but to rid the world of inequality

00:26:43.800 they think that they have to stifle individual liberty as much as possible and if you look at

00:26:49.300 every totalitarian regime every socialist or communist country in the world or throughout history

00:26:54.580 religious liberty has always always been one of the first things to die that it's freedom of the press

00:26:59.440 freedom of speech um in a way freedom of thought if you want to know how this goes just read 1984 that is

00:27:06.420 exactly the path the democrats are forging and they don't care uh they they do not care marco rubio i

00:27:15.260 thought made a really good point when he explained on twitter that this is exactly why this is exactly why

00:27:23.680 so many people can't get on board with democrats there would be they they would win they would win every

00:27:30.540 election from here on out if they could just not be so extreme if they could not be so crazy and not be 0.86

00:27:37.320 so patronizing and condescending and downright hateful towards people who don't agree with them

00:27:42.800 towards the millions and millions of people who believe and who have traditional values they would be able

00:27:49.280 to win every election from here on out but because they cannot be not extreme because they don't care

00:27:55.540 about individual liberty anymore because they are catering to such a small minority of so-called

00:28:00.160 marginalized groups they are going to struggle and donald trump people like donald trump a candidate

00:28:06.040 that when you think about it should never really have won in the first place people like that are

00:28:10.900 going to keep winning it's not going to matter who you could put up kermit the frog on the rights

00:28:15.940 and christians are not going to vote for people on the left who talk like this who say that they're

00:28:20.580 going to take away our first amendment rights or try to take our first uh first amendment rights

00:28:24.820 through as many means and whatever strategic means possible it's just not going to work for them and

00:28:30.800 they don't they don't understand and marco rubio uh said that he said uh this is exactly this is

00:28:37.040 exactly the reason why so many people in the middle of the country so many people who just don't agree

00:28:43.160 religiously ideologically with democrats um why they can't get on board it's because of this elitism

00:28:49.680 this uh condescension of people with uh traditional values elizabeth warren is a snob and he's exactly

00:28:56.480 right of course he got dragged for this which shows you there is obviously a good portion of the country

00:29:01.600 who uh agrees with her who agrees with beto at work they don't care also there is not a constitutional

00:29:08.880 respect that is a value for the left they really couldn't care less about that they think a lot of

00:29:14.540 people on the left not everyone but a lot of people on the left believe that this is stolen land

00:29:18.200 that america is fundamentally a racist and horrible country and so why should it matter whether or not

00:29:23.580 we uphold the constitution why should it matter matter whether or not people that we don't agree

00:29:27.900 with have liberty and have the freedom to exercise their religion how they want to have the freedom to

00:29:32.400 say and think what they want to why why do we care about that a lot of people on the left would say

00:29:38.800 because uh truth because freedom because individual liberty constitutionality these are not values that

00:29:44.040 the left upholds and we can see that extremely clearly when it comes to the democratic

00:29:47.860 candidates so now this is mainstream so we're talking about mainstream democrats who hate

00:29:54.020 christians and who hate christianity and who hate any kind of orthodoxy or uh traditional characteristic

00:29:59.680 of beliefs this is not just some fringe group this is not antifa that we're talking about this is not

00:30:04.560 just aoc or the squad these are people running for president of the united states who represent the

00:30:10.400 mainstream of the democratic party they don't represent everyone in the democratic party but

00:30:14.120 to say that they're not mainstream i would be a little bit crazy i want to talk about just a

00:30:20.500 couple other things really quickly because i thought it was remarkable i want to play you this clip from

00:30:24.240 aoc uh talking about climate change in denmark i believe it was deeper still we don't have to project

00:30:31.460 one minute into our future to see that the climate crisis is already here on this note i speak to you not

00:30:38.080 as an elected official or public figure but i speak to you as a human being a woman whose dreams of

00:30:45.640 motherhood now taste bittersweet because of what i know about our children's future

00:30:50.980 and that our actions are responsible for bringing their most dire possibilities into focus

00:30:57.900 i speak so first of all let me tell you why i was encouraged by this clip

00:31:01.640 i am encouraged if she's telling the truth that she has a dream of motherhood that's great i i really

00:31:07.240 am glad for that like i i i want aoc now there's going to be a lot of jokes out there about oh aoc

00:31:12.960 shouldn't have kids you shouldn't reproduce i don't agree with that i think having a kid makes 1.00

00:31:18.260 you a better person i think that it makes you more responsible i think it makes you see things

00:31:22.560 differently i think that it also brings you back into your christian faith if you have maybe walked

00:31:29.400 away or you haven't been taking it seriously it just has a way of sanctifying you it has a way of

00:31:34.180 making you more responsible and be able to see the future in a different light i think that having a

00:31:39.300 child would greatly mature aoc and i hope that she gets married first and has a child i think that that

00:31:46.180 would be a wonderful thing for her to do so i know a lot of people are saying oh no aoc shouldn't

00:31:51.480 have a kid i hope that she has a kid and i hope that she that she realizes then that climate change

00:31:57.200 isn't all that she thinks it is i'm not saying that we shouldn't care about the earth that we

00:32:01.280 shouldn't be good stewards of creation because of course as christians we believe that we should

00:32:05.040 but it i don't believe it's this uh this dire circumstance and this imminent threat that the

00:32:10.740 left thinks it does that the world is going to end in 12 years i think there are probably some

00:32:14.320 common sense common sense free market solutions that we can employ and not absolute takeover of the

00:32:19.940 government like aoc's green new deal would be um i wonder if she would kind of change her mind on 1.00

00:32:25.660 that so i'm actually encouraged yes this is hyperbolic yes it's a little bit crazy but i'm

00:32:31.920 encouraged that she actually has a dream of motherhood i think that she should pursue that

00:32:35.800 i think she should pursue that um so that's the update from um some of our friends on the left this

00:32:42.480 is going to be a crazy election guys it's going to be crazy like i'm not looking forward to it i feel

00:32:47.240 like the election just happened of 2016 i feel like it just happened like i am talking to you as

00:32:53.580 someone who i'm just going to be honest never been a big fan of donald trump's persona never been

00:32:59.440 a big fan of his personality the way that he does things i was on team no tweets and i did vote for

00:33:06.200 him in 2016 because when it comes down to a general election it's a binary choice it just is i've heard

00:33:13.240 all the arguments to the contrary i don't know i understand not voting for either of them it was a

00:33:18.680 binary choice there was no way that i could vote for hillary clinton an advocate of abortion and 1.00

00:33:23.960 fantasize and as deeply corrupt as she as she was i knew that even though donald trump wasn't perfect 0.62

00:33:28.880 even though he wasn't as christ-like as i would want a president to be that he was at least going

00:33:35.860 to surround himself by people who would advocate for conservative values and advocate for things like

00:33:40.500 religious liberty which all christians should care about if you don't care about religious liberty then

00:33:44.860 you are stuck in a privileged bubble and you might want to read up about what's going on in china right

00:33:50.340 now how christians and muslims are thrown into concentration camps and gulags and executed and

00:33:55.640 their organs are being harvested uh if you want to see what it looks like when a totalitarian regime 0.70

00:34:00.520 takes away freedom of religion freedom of the press and free speech uh then you could just um read up

00:34:07.820 about the atrocities going on in that country which by the way the mba uh seems to love and refuses to 0.98

00:34:14.660 condemn i could do a whole episode on that i could also do a whole episode on what's going on in hong

00:34:18.920 kong when you have protesters pro-democracy pro-freedom protesters waving the american flag i'm like can we

00:34:25.100 do a little switcheroo like can we can we do a little switch can we take some hong kong protesters 0.99

00:34:30.520 make them american citizens take some people who hate america and religious liberty like some of the

00:34:35.100 people that we just heard and switch it and then the people over here who say oh religious liberty is not

00:34:39.720 that big of a deal constitution whatever they can see how it is in a communist country and how much

00:34:44.760 people just love it and how great and wonderful it is over there we can just switch and see how that

00:34:50.220 goes that's my proposal i don't know maybe i'll talk to president trump about it i think i got off

00:34:54.900 track the point is is that uh 2020 election is going to be a huge deal and even though i haven't loved

00:35:01.160 donald trump this episode and the things that we uh have talked about here it's why it's why i i have no

00:35:08.020 other choice but to vote for him i have no other choice but to convince you to vote for him and to

00:35:12.780 persuade other people to vote for him uh other christians and now i understand if you were on

00:35:17.160 the left why you wouldn't vote for him but i i don't really understand how anyone with any

00:35:22.580 semblance of traditional values could vote democrat they hate you they hate everything you think and

00:35:27.400 everything you believe everything that you hold dear i mean there's just no other way around it so

00:35:32.440 he bothers me on a lot of different levels there are a lot of things he said and done

00:35:36.560 and done that i i don't agree with but really the democrats they give me and people like me no

00:35:43.400 choice they have very much made clear where they stand on the things that matter to us and that's

00:35:51.280 been their choice and that's fine we'll see how it goes for them okay that's all i have today we will

00:35:57.080 be back here on friday i'm so excited for you to listen to the conversation that i'm going to have

00:36:02.120 them with jeremy volo you can look him up on instagram he is the husband of who you might know
