00:00:21.620 why we had it delayed for the past few podcasts is because there was so much breaking election

00:00:26.560 news, I wanted to make sure to give you the most relevant and up-to-date analysis as possible.

00:00:32.440 And obviously this will still be relevant and up-to-date, but what we're talking about today

00:00:37.460 isn't necessarily happening second by second. But what I've observed over the past few days

00:00:44.900 since the election, we are going to be talking about this phrase that has just been ringing

00:00:50.820 in my mind. I talked about it a little bit on Monday and it's the title of the book written

00:00:57.200 by a guest that I had a couple of weeks ago. I think it was the Monday before the election.

00:01:01.600 And so last week, Raj Rare and his book is Live Not By Lies. And the book talks about how we in

00:01:08.080 America are in a pre-totalitarian state, that the social pressure and the social consequences

00:01:14.780 that people are experiencing for having very mainstream political and social views is exactly

00:01:22.160 what happened in, for example, the Bolshevik Revolution and every communist revolution. It

00:01:27.640 started with real-life tangible consequences for people holding beliefs or having what Orwell calls

00:01:35.740 in 1984 wrong think, how that ends up leading to totalitarianism. And we need to make sure that

00:01:43.520 we are resisting that. And the main way that we resist that is to refuse to live by lies. So to

00:01:49.980 refuse to imbibe and believe in deceit. And what that requires us to do is to be very vigilant in

00:01:59.680 searching for the truth. Now, a lot of the deceit and a lot of the propaganda that we hear typically

00:02:05.880 comes from the left. And the reason why I say that, I understand that it's going to offend some people,

00:02:12.260 but the reason why I say that is because leftism controls all of our major cultural megaphones.

00:02:18.720 So big tech, social media, the mainstream media all skews to the left, at least center left. And a lot

00:02:26.120 of the media is on the far end of the political spectrum on the left. Our corporations in America

00:02:32.840 are all repeating the leftist social justice talking points. Obviously, our celebrities,

00:02:39.660 the entirety of the entertainment industry skews to the left. All of the mainstream is leftist.

00:02:46.500 And so in order to have an idea that is outside of the mainstream, you are typically, you have to go,

00:02:54.200 you have to go outside of those cultural megaphones and you have to seek conservative points of view.

00:03:01.420 That does not mean there is not propaganda and serious misinformation on the right. There is.

00:03:07.560 We've actually seen a lot of it over the past week in an effort to find evidence of fraud,

00:03:13.560 which I believe there are some cases of real fraud that probably will hold up in court. We'll see about

00:03:20.620 that. Whether or not it's going to be decisive in this election, we don't know. But there's also been

00:03:24.960 a lot of false information that's been perpetuated by the right in order to build up the narrative and

00:03:30.620 to build up the frustration and passion of people who believe that the election was stolen. Every

00:03:35.780 sketchy looking video has been shared. And upon further scrutiny, we figured out that, okay, that's

00:03:42.680 not actually an example of fraud. I think that's wrong. So propaganda and misinformation, whether it's

00:03:47.920 coming from the right or whether it's coming from the left, is wrong. And we as Christians,

00:03:52.200 as critically thinking people, we have an obligation to resist that and to seek what is true. And none

00:03:57.860 of us are going to be perfect in that pursuit. I am praying every day for God to please show me

00:04:02.660 where I'm wrong. Give me humility and let me lay down my pride when I am holding on to something that

00:04:09.060 just isn't true or is inconsistent with your word, that is inconsistent with a biblical worldview.

00:04:14.960 Show me where partisanship and bias is blinding me to reality because I want to make sure that I am

00:04:21.080 living not by lies. That is my obligation, whether it means that I'm on the Republican side of things

00:04:28.860 or not. I want to make sure that I'm not just repeating the talking points that the GOP or

00:04:34.880 the conservative mainstream tells me that I have to say. And certainly, I don't want to repeat talking

00:04:40.560 points that come from the left either, but that I am telling the truth. That is always my goal.

00:04:45.620 That's always my desire. You guys let me know when that doesn't happen, where I accidentally say

00:04:51.340 something that is not true. And I always want to correct that because in order to remain sane in

00:04:57.400 this world that is so characterized often by propaganda and hyperbole and misinformation,

00:05:05.320 in order to stay grounded and rooted, in order to really know what's going on and to see reality,

00:05:14.160 we have to be vigilant and seeking the truth and double-checking everything we read and double-checking

00:05:19.880 especially everything that we share. And so we've already talked about on Monday some of the

00:05:27.300 misinformation that we are hearing from the right when it comes to the election and when it comes to

00:05:33.600 fraud. And we talked to Jenna Ellis, who is a Trump lawyer, to try to kind of wade through some of

00:05:38.960 that information to see what is actually going before the court and what the actual allegations

00:05:45.980 are and what kind of substantive evidence they have. And so today, we're going to talk about some

00:05:51.160 of the lies that we are seeing coming from the left in particular, and how if we are not careful,

00:05:57.020 we will find ourselves believing deceit. Those of you who are in my Women's Book Club with

00:06:02.560 Ali Stuckey on Facebook and have been there for a few months, we read 1984 together. That's something

00:06:08.220 that I read in high school, and it's stuck with me since then. But reading it again, I actually listened

00:06:14.880 to it this time, which I think was even more chilling than reading it. And at the end, sorry to give it

00:06:21.880 away if you haven't read 1984, you might want to skip ahead. But at the end, Winston is being tortured,

00:06:27.880 and he is trying to be re-educated and indoctrinated by force with the tenets of the party, with the

00:06:35.500 tenets of Big Brother. And the goal in the end is to make him love Big Brother, this kind of like

00:06:41.100 intangible force that is supposed to take care of them and tell them information and all of that,

00:06:46.380 who is really in charge of everyone, spies on them, and all of that stuff. And he is trying to resist,

00:06:52.400 but he is unable to because they convinced him that no reality really exists except with the party the

00:07:01.220 people in charge tell him is real. So if they say that something didn't happen, that actually did

00:07:06.880 happen yesterday, then that's what reality is. If they say that we're actually in this month, in this

00:07:13.080 year, even when you know we're not in this month, in this year, well, you are wrong because the party

00:07:18.460 is always right. So if the party says that reality says that two plus two equals five, you cannot insist

00:07:24.680 that two plus two equals four, because the only reality that exists in 1984 is what the party tells

00:07:31.120 you exists. And so in the end, unfortunately, Winston is successfully indoctrinated at the very

00:07:39.320 end of the book. He is saying that he loves Big Brother, and so he has been converted into being a

00:07:45.920 faithful party member rather than a rebel. And the way that he was able to rebel throughout the book,

00:07:52.240 at least internally, is by metaphorically and literally insisting that two plus two equals four,

00:07:58.920 reminding himself of what is true, trying to remember what actually happened in history,

00:08:04.980 rather than just going along with the party talking points of rewriting history, which is what the party

00:08:11.120 in 1984 did. That was how he remained sane. And of course, his sanity in the end broke down.

00:08:17.480 And so in order for us to remain sane again, we have to insist upon the truth. So I'm going to give

00:08:25.300 you some examples of the truth being manipulated and the psychological warfare that I think that we are

00:08:32.460 enduring right now. Of course, first, from a biblical perspective, we know how important truth is.

00:08:37.300 Obviously, when we're talking about the gospel being the ultimate truth, being the eternal truth,

00:08:44.220 Jesus himself is the way, the truth, the life. No one can come to the Father except through him.

00:08:51.380 Jesus said, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. In Romans 1,

00:08:56.720 when we're talking about people who have rebelled against God, Romans 1.25 says that they exchanged the

00:09:02.360 truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the creator.

00:09:07.280 And so we know how important the pursuit of truth is. Ephesians tells us to speak the truth in love,

00:09:13.160 to build up the body of Christ. Of course, in these ways, they're talking about eternal truth. They're

00:09:19.220 talking about biblical truth. They're talking about gospel truth. They're talking about the embodiment of

00:09:23.900 truth, which is Jesus Christ himself. But all truth, whether you're talking about scientific truth,

00:09:29.580 any kind of natural truth, moral truth is going to be consistent with God himself from the biblical

00:09:35.060 worldview, it's never going to contradict God and what his word says because God created all things.

00:09:42.320 And so science, any kind of natural revelation or scientific discovery can possibly contradict what God

00:09:55.520 says and what God does because he has authority over all of it. He is the source of all of it. He is

00:10:01.320 the source of truth. So everything that is real, everything that is good, everything that is true

00:10:06.000 is going to be consistent with God himself. And so when we're reading scripture and we see the importance

00:10:13.360 of grounding ourselves in truth, it's not just biblical and spiritual truth, gospel truth, although that's

00:10:19.500 the most important. We're talking about all kinds of truth. I mean, if you read Proverbs,

00:10:24.180 we see the dangers of believing deceit. We know that God hates lying. We also read in Ephesians,

00:10:30.880 the expressed command no longer to lie to your neighbor, but to tell the truth. And so we know

00:10:38.720 that God is not just a God of truth. He's not just a source of truth, but that he commands his followers

00:10:43.860 pursue and seek truth in all things and speak the truth in all things. Again, because we're fallible,

00:10:49.080 we're going to get that wrong. I certainly have gotten it wrong. But that is our desire and that

00:10:54.760 is our obligation. And so when we see some of the crazy stories that we have seen, in particular,

00:11:00.400 in this case, coming from the left, we have an obligation to uncover it. But we are being told

00:11:06.740 things. We are being told to just believe everything that we hear, to believe everything

00:11:12.080 that we see in the media without any questions. So coincidentally, a couple days ago, Pfizer

00:11:18.300 announced the coronavirus vaccine, said that it is 90% effective. Now, this obviously to anyone with

00:11:27.340 any kind of consideration whatsoever, this obviously was purposeful timing. They decided to announce this

00:11:35.140 after the election. Of course, to cynical people, we would say it's because they didn't want to give

00:11:40.960 President Trump any credit. They did not want to affect people in the way of voting for him. And so

00:11:47.040 they decided to announce it after, of course, the market boomed. It shot up right after this

00:11:57.300 announcement was made. And so the tweets that you were seeing from left-leaning journalists were saying,

00:12:03.220 oh, people said that the market would crash after Biden was elected. Well, it just went up

00:12:08.260 however many points today. Yeah, it's not because of Biden. It's because of Pfizer. But already they

00:12:14.020 are trying to kind of rewrite that history. So you think that everything is on the up and up because

00:12:19.100 Joe Biden has been elected president. He's not even president yet. But look, a coronavirus vaccine

00:12:24.980 is already out. Now, New York Times reported that this was not part of the Trump administration's

00:12:31.400 Operation Warp Speed, which incentivized the development of a vaccine. Virginia Hughes of the New York

00:12:37.060 Times said this. Pfizer's Dr. Janssen sought to distance the company from Operation Warp Speed

00:12:42.780 and presidential politics, noting that the company did not take any federal money to help pay for

00:12:49.220 research and development. We were never part of the Warp Speed. Amanda Carpenter, she is a journalist

00:12:56.360 at the Bulwark. The Bulwark, if you don't know who they are, they are an anti-Trump, never-Trump,

00:13:01.620 self-described conservative outlet. They are always very eager to discredit the Trump administration

00:13:09.380 in anything they do. Amanda Carpenter tweeted this, Mr. Vice President. Well, first, let me read Mike

00:13:15.220 Pence's tweet. Mike Pence tweets, huge news. Thanks to the public-private partnership forged by President

00:13:20.300 Donald Trump, Pfizer announced its coronavirus vaccine trial is effective, preventing infection

00:13:24.920 90% of its volunteers. Amanda Carpenter, quote, tweets it and says this, Mr. Vice President,

00:13:30.820 was Pfizer part of Operation Warp Speed? Yes or no will suffice to clear things up. So obviously a

00:13:36.720 little tongue-in-cheek there. I replied to her, first of all, saying that Mike Pence did not say that

00:13:43.700 Pfizer was a part of Operation Warp Speed, that he said it was a public-private partnership,

00:13:48.440 which it was, as even Chris Murphy, who is a Democratic senator, said that it was. He admitted

00:13:55.920 that it was because they promised, the government promised $2 billion for the development of this

00:14:03.380 vaccine. That is a public-private partnership. But as it turns out, it actually was. Pfizer was a part

00:14:09.620 of Operation Warp Speed, which is a product of the Trump administration. Daniel Dale of CNN says,

00:14:16.240 Pfizer's head of vaccine development had told New York Times it wasn't part of Warp Speed because it

00:14:21.780 didn't take research money. But that's not the whole story. And then he includes a screenshot

00:14:29.220 that actually that shows that the spokesperson for Pfizer admitted, yes, we were a part of Operation

00:14:37.860 Warp Speed. We did develop this vaccine because of the partnership and the promises of the Trump

00:14:42.780 administration. And yet we were hearing all day yesterday. No, no, no. This had nothing to do

00:14:48.200 with Trump's efforts. This had nothing to do with Trump whatsoever. If anything, this has to do with

00:14:53.820 Joe Biden becoming president, which, again, is a lie. It is an attempt to make you think that just

00:14:59.860 because Joe Biden became president, that things are on the up and up and coronavirus is out the door,

00:15:05.620 when in fact it was the Trump administration's efforts that made this possible.

00:15:09.640 Now, Andrew Cuomo, which is I can't say that he's the world's worst governor because we have a lot

00:15:16.220 of competitors in that realm, a lot of competitors in that realm. But he is one of the worst governors

00:15:23.060 because despite the fact that they that New York had, I think, is the second highest death rate

00:15:30.300 in the United States from coronavirus, thanks to his efforts to put sick, COVID sick,

00:15:38.780 elderly patients back into nursing homes where thousands of thousands of elderly people died

00:15:46.200 because of that decision. Despite all of that, he passed himself on the back continually, wrote a

00:15:51.380 freaking book about it, saying this is how New York got through it. When the guy didn't even make sure

00:15:58.120 that the subways were sanitized first time in 100 years until April. I mean, he didn't even shut down

00:16:04.560 mass transportation or slow down mass transportation in New York City until April. Like that was after

00:16:11.560 it was booming in New York and people were getting sick and dying. And yet this guy continually has

00:16:16.940 the audacity to pat himself on the back and his brother on CNN, Chris Cuomo, of course, aids and abets

00:16:23.200 that kind of deceit. Again, he wants to propagandize you and manipulate you into thinking that New York

00:16:28.680 did a good job, but they didn't. Yes, the death rate and the sick rate in New York is a lot lower

00:16:34.060 now, but that's because so many people already died and got it. Everyone who could possibly get

00:16:39.140 it in New York and died in New York already did. So he does not deserve any pats on the back. Andrew

00:16:44.920 Cuomo had the audacity to say in an interview that he believes that we should not distribute the vaccine

00:16:55.820 until Trump is out of office. I'll play you that little clip. You have two months and we can't let this

00:17:01.480 vaccination plan go forward the way the Trump administration is designing it because Biden can't undo it

00:17:09.420 two months later. We'll be in the midst of it. And I'm going I've been talking to governors across the

00:17:15.140 nation about that. How can we shape the Trump administration vaccine plan to fix it or stop it

00:17:23.320 before it does damage? So this is just another piece of evidence that Andrew Cuomo really does

00:17:29.740 not care about the well-being of New Yorkers. He cares about the politics of it. He's a very

00:17:34.100 calculating politician. And so he knows how to make you believe what he wants you to believe without

00:17:39.260 actually having to care about New Yorkers. This is just another example of that. So apparently it's bad

00:17:44.760 news that we now, according to Pfizer, have an effective vaccine. But we need to wait. I mean,

00:17:51.280 theoretically, this vaccine could save people's lives, but we need to wait to administer it

00:17:56.120 so that what Joe Biden can take credit for it and Donald Trump can't. I mean, that's really what

00:18:01.140 you call Trump derangement syndrome when the just existence of Trump has made your brain

00:18:06.760 into oatmeal to where you cannot think critically or compassionately in a position of leadership.

00:18:13.000 It's honestly insane. So here's the truth. From what we know, Pfizer was ahead of Operation Warp Speed.

00:18:20.100 That was a product of the Trump administration. It was a private public sector partnership.

00:18:27.200 And we can thank Donald Trump and his administration's efforts and Pfizer for

00:18:32.880 getting this done. This has nothing to do with Joe Biden at all. The market going up had nothing to

00:18:40.200 do with Joe Biden at all. Do not believe those lies. Do not be psychologically manipulated.

00:18:45.760 OK, our next lie, our piece of psychological manipulation that we are seeing comes from

00:18:52.420 Girl Scouts. So this has nothing to do with the election. But James Lindsay, he is the author of

00:18:57.700 the book Cynical Theories. He said Girl Scouts is going full woke on Twitter. Troop leaders will have

00:19:02.520 to affirm we live in a systemically racist society or risk being removed. Anyone who identifies as a

00:19:08.420 girl identified person can participate. Pronouns are required. So this is absolute craziness.

00:19:15.860 I just want to remind you that these ideas of intersectionality, critical race theory,

00:19:20.360 having to affirm by force that America is not just a country that experiences racism,

00:19:26.380 as all societies do, but as a systemically racist society, that that is required for being accepted

00:19:31.940 into an organization like Girl Scouts. That's a new phenomenon. That is not something that has

00:19:37.740 always happened. This is new. This is an empowered wokeness that feels like it can take away your

00:19:45.820 association with organizations like Girl Scouts based on your political beliefs. The idea, as we've

00:19:52.700 talked about so many times, that America is systemically racist in 2020 is at best debatable,

00:19:58.400 if not an outright, complete, flat lie. I mean, please read Discrimination and Disparities by

00:20:04.740 Thomas Sowell, as we read in Women's Book Club with Ali Stuckey. I mean, it busts so many of the myths

00:20:11.100 that we see from people like Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo. Go follow Neil Shenvey, who talks about

00:20:16.620 the critical race theory mentality that is bolstering this idea that America is systemically racist in

00:20:22.840 2020. It's not actually based on reality or data. It is based on this kind of intangible idea that once

00:20:30.300 you start poking holes in it with data and with logic, you see is really just a sham. It's a way

00:20:36.600 to shame people and guilt people as the Girl Scouts are doing. Anyone who identifies as a girl-identified

00:20:42.240 person can participate. So that means boys can participate in Girl Scouts. And it's important that

00:20:47.100 we are watching this redefinition of what it means to be a girl, what it means to be any gender.

00:20:52.900 Apparently now it's something that you identify as, which means that there is no significance in

00:20:57.520 your anatomy. There is no significance whatsoever in being a biological girl. There's no significance

00:21:03.620 in having a uterus. There's no significance in being able to bear children. There's no significance

00:21:08.320 in those things. As long as you identify as a girl, you are just as much of a girl as anyone else.

00:21:12.740 That's what the secular world is telling us. And I think it's important that we uncover what

00:21:16.780 is actually behind that. So I know I keep mentioning Women's Book Club with Allie Stuckey.

00:21:21.520 We've read a lot of awesome books this year. We're reading Love Thy Body by Nancy Piercy.

00:21:26.400 She goes through the secular mentality on abortion, on transgenderism, on promiscuity,

00:21:31.960 and the different issues today that we are facing in relation to the body. And what she says is

00:21:37.820 the secular worldview holds on to this philosophy of dualism. It breaks up the body and the soul,

00:21:44.780 that the internal self is actually what determines what the body is or what the body can do. But

00:21:52.460 we don't believe that as Christians. We believe that the body is not just determined by what we feel or

00:21:58.460 what we identify as or what our brains tell us, but that our body in and of itself has a purpose.

00:22:05.840 And that purpose is determined not just by science, which it is, but by the God who created it.

00:22:12.260 And so our biological reality is significant. It actually means something. Being a girl is a

00:22:19.180 biological reality, and that biological reality is good. It is significant. It separates you from

00:22:25.480 people who have a different biological reality, aka boys. And so that is the biblical worldview,

00:22:32.180 that the body was purposely and perfectly made by God, that your biological reality actually means

00:22:39.680 something. It is actually significant. It is actually good that God created it that way,

00:22:44.860 that when he made the male and female in Genesis, he didn't just say this is good like he had about

00:22:49.440 the rest of his creation, but he said this is very good. And that is a reality that's not just repeated

00:22:54.320 throughout the biblical canon, but also by Jesus himself in Matthew 19. A lot of people on the left

00:22:59.660 like to say Jesus never talked about gender. Jesus never talked about marriage. Yes, he does.

00:23:04.100 Yes, he does. In Matthew 19, he talks about that God made the male and female for this reason.

00:23:09.580 A man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife. To say that God doesn't care

00:23:15.300 about marriage or doesn't care about gender is to totally misunderstand the character of God.

00:23:19.660 God doesn't do things arbitrarily. He doesn't do things accidentally. He didn't just happen to

00:23:24.540 make half of creation with this anatomy and half of creation with this anatomy for no reason at all.

00:23:30.240 And for us to just identify as whatever we want, it's purposeful. And for us to worship God,

00:23:35.400 for us to worship the creator, we must also revel in his creation, not worship his creation,

00:23:41.420 but revel and honor his creation for the purpose that he gave it. And so for us to redefine what it

00:23:49.620 means to be a girl or redefine what it means to be a boy based on this idea of dualism, that who we are

00:23:55.740 internally gets to determine who we are on the outside rather than our internal and our external

00:24:01.540 actually being meaningfully intertwined, it's to deny biblical reality. It's not just to deny

00:24:06.740 scientific reality, which it absolutely does, but it's also to deny a biblical worldview, which means

00:24:12.500 we are bound not just to the scientific reality of what it means to be male and female, but we are also

00:24:17.880 bound to the biblical truth that God made the male and female, that anatomy does matter. We can't give

00:24:23.620 into this dualistic idea that says our body is subject to whatever we identify as in whatever

00:24:29.060 we feel. We believe that God gave bodies a purpose and that our anatomy has a purpose and that it's

00:24:36.080 good. And that isn't actually, that's a much more positive view of the body than the secular worldview

00:24:41.340 has. A secular worldview says your biology is totally arbitrary. It doesn't matter at all. All that matters

00:24:47.480 is what you think on the inside, that it's not significant to have a uterus. It's not significant

00:24:51.500 to have female anatomy. It's not significant to be a girl. That's not any, you're not any more

00:24:56.840 beautiful as a girl than a man who identifies as a girl. What a degrading view of the body.

00:25:02.620 Like what a small view of the body. God has an amazing view of the body because he created it

00:25:07.420 perfectly. And so it is so much more healthy to teach that worldview and that perspective about the

00:25:13.020 human body and about biology than it is the secular worldview, which is actually very self-loathing,

00:25:18.960 which is actually very body-loathing, ironically, in the world of self-love and self-indulgence

00:25:26.240 that the secular world teaches so much. And so we live not by the lie that our biology is arbitrary,

00:25:32.560 that anyone who says that they are a girl is a girl, but we realize that God made girls and boys

00:25:37.460 purposely and perfectly. And that positive view of the body is one that is very healthy mentally and

00:25:44.360 healthy spiritually. God says that for the Christian, our bodies are a dwelling place for

00:25:49.440 the Holy Spirit. We know about the resurrection of the bodies, that we're not just going to be

00:25:54.440 forever these bodiless spiritual beings or spirit beings that have no form or face. No, God says that

00:26:03.920 we are going to have our bodies. They are going to be renewed bodies. They're going to be restored

00:26:09.640 bodies. They're going to be spiritual bodies, but we will have human likeness. We will have our bodies.

00:26:15.960 That's how much God cares about the body. And so for us to reject that, to say, well, God didn't have

00:26:20.920 any purpose in creation and the creation of our bodies. God doesn't care about the physical. He just

00:26:25.960 cares about the internal and our bodies are totally arbitrary. We can define them as girl and boy as we

00:26:31.840 see fit. We can do whatever we want with our bodies. God doesn't really care about that. You don't

00:26:35.260 understand the creator, not just the creation. You don't understand the creator. And so that's why

00:26:40.800 I always say, you know, when people have misunderstandings about these so-called social

00:26:44.920 issues, they always go back to theological misunderstandings. It is not controversial,

00:26:49.660 by the way, for you to hold to the definition of gender that human beings have held for all of human

00:26:55.440 existence. These ideas are new. This idea that you are a girl just because you declare you're a girl or

00:27:00.820 and you feel that you are a girl or a boy. Either way, these are new ideas. This is like something

00:27:06.500 that has developed over the past two to 10 years. And so you are not the radical one. You are not the

00:27:12.740 crazy one. That's what I want to tell you, that you are not the crazy one for saying two and two makes

00:33:43.300 to fund that corruption. So that's great. So that's the that's the set of lies that we are seeing from abroad.
