All right, we've got more news to get to here on your Tuesday.
00:00:12.940
I was texting Tucker a little while ago about this, and it's real.
00:00:16.760
It's real, and they're trying to ban Tucker Carlson from going into Canada.
00:00:20.980
We're going to find out what their plan is to keep him away from giving a speech there,
00:00:27.120
Is it his anti-war stance? Is it his anti-violence stance?
00:00:37.500
They sought refuge there after World War II, so maybe that's what it is.
00:00:40.820
I don't know. Let us know your thoughts on that.
00:00:43.440
The tolerant left in Canada is at it once again,
00:00:46.720
now trying to ban Tucker Carlson from entering the country in January of this year.
00:00:56.780
Let's check in with David Creighton, who's in Ottawa.
00:01:00.000
David, why are you guys trying to keep Tucker out of your country?
00:01:08.240
I am a huge fan of Tucker, and I love what he's doing for media, for journalism.
00:01:18.780
and he will be interviewing Premier Daniel Smith, the Alberta Premier Daniel Smith.
00:01:25.740
I think this is a wonderful opportunity to introduce more Canadians to Tucker Carlson,
00:01:34.220
When he was on Fox, a lot of Canadians watched his show,
00:01:38.200
despite the difficulties in getting Fox on cable for many, many years up here.
00:01:46.640
And if there's any hope for Canada, it lies in politicians like Daniel Smith in Alberta,
00:01:53.860
who stands up against the woke crowd, who dared to stand up against COVID-19 mandates,
00:02:00.540
and to say that these were ridiculous, that these were ineffective, and discriminatory.
00:02:06.300
She had the guts to say that, that these were discriminatory measures.
00:02:09.620
So if there's any hope for Canadian politicians, I certainly think Daniel Smith is chief amongst that class.
00:02:19.780
But yeah, some idiot out there has sponsored a petition on change.org.
00:02:25.900
I just looked at it this morning to see how it's going since I wrote the story.
00:02:30.000
It's up to about 2,700 signatures, you know, as people.
00:02:33.780
So that's not a lot, but I can't believe anybody would actually have a petition asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
00:02:43.840
to not allow Tucker Carlson to cross the border.
00:02:50.980
Like, what are they objecting to that Tucker has said?
00:03:01.820
I know Canada is home to a lot of Nazis who left after World War II and fled to Canada to be there.
00:03:11.080
So I know that maybe speaking out against Nazis is a bad thing.
00:03:15.280
What do you think it is that they really dislike about Tucker up there in Canada?
00:03:19.740
Well, I think it's undoubtedly his stand on the war in Ukraine, that he thinks enough is enough.
00:03:32.620
I think that's the reason, as you said many times, he was fired from Fox News, and I think that's the real reason.
00:03:37.540
But the opposition leader in Alberta, the leader of the Provincial New Democratic Party, which are a bunch of socialists,
00:03:45.800
Rachel Notley talked about Tucker Carlson being hateful.
00:03:52.040
And she said, the fact that the premier believes it's appropriate to normalize the things this person says, like what?
00:04:03.100
And, you know, she accuses Tucker Carlson of being a white supremacist, of believing in crackpot theories about eliminating all the non-whites from society.
00:04:14.080
I mean, these are all crackpot theories coming from crackpots.
00:04:19.340
Tucker Carlson has never exposed, in all the years I've been listening to him, any white supremacist ideas.
00:04:27.420
He is opposed to the war in Ukraine, as I am, as you are.
00:04:30.820
And a lot of people are opposed to the war in Ukraine.
00:04:35.020
But Tucker Carlson does not represent some kind of political extremism.
00:04:39.580
And I think it's interesting that when he entered the Madison Square Garden on the weekend with Donald Trump by his side,
00:04:49.280
I mean, huge cheers from New York City, where he's supposed to be like anathema, and Donald Trump is supposed to be so evil.
00:04:56.480
It interests me that I think these people represent such a small, marginalized minority of people who really hate Tucker Carlson
00:05:05.200
because he's got the guts to take journalism where it simply won't be taken elsewhere.
00:05:15.040
He held his head up high, and he's got the biggest show on X now, formerly known as Twitter.
00:05:21.000
So he's now become part of independent journalism, and he's doing what a lot of other people are doing,
00:05:31.800
Because when you're in, as you know so well, when you're working within legacy media,
00:05:37.240
your hands are shackled, and your tongue is not free to speak.
00:05:44.240
I mean, it's hilarious that thousands of people don't want someone to speak.
00:05:47.780
And, of course, this speaks to the idea of the tolerant left, right?
00:05:50.880
The idea that the left is supposed to be a place where all ideas are welcome.
00:05:59.520
The idea that you could go to a college campus and give a speech with differing opinions and different views.
00:06:05.100
And then, of course, we've seen the erosion of free speech.
00:06:11.780
This idea of the tolerant left has all but collapsed.
00:06:20.800
We will have these social media companies do their bidding to block you and take you offline.
00:06:26.840
And the Canadian government, under the leadership of Justin Trudeau,
00:06:30.200
is specifically targeting those on the right and those who have conservative views.
00:06:39.280
I remember growing up and a lot of my teachers in high school and in university had gone through the 1960s and had been somewhat radicalized by those years.
00:06:50.140
But what was interesting is that that generation believed in free speech and they allowed people like me who disagreed with some of the things they said to voice that opposition, to have a voice of dissent in the classroom.
00:07:06.740
And I think that's very telling because the left today, the woke left, will broke no criticism, will not tolerate any dissent, will not listen to any views other than their own.
00:07:19.260
And we're seeing this not just in the media, but in politics and especially in education, where people, the teachers and the professors that I knew are no longer welcome at universities because they allow people to talk back.
00:07:39.100
That is something the left has long forgotten, at least the woke left, what we're dealing with today.
00:07:45.200
These people can't even really call themselves socialists or liberals.
00:07:53.200
They are fascists who want to clamp down on anybody who doesn't agree with them.
00:07:58.780
And as you said, Justin Trudeau is one of them.
00:08:00.960
He is running his government, not like a liberal, small l, or large l, liberal government.
00:08:07.020
He's running his government increasingly like a fascist government that clamps down on dissent.
00:08:12.660
And as I've said a hundred times now to anybody who's listening, the worst is yet to come with the Online Safety Act.
00:08:24.880
And I don't know what we have to do or can do to stop Justin Trudeau from doing this because,
00:08:29.640
and this might be a nice segue to the next topic, he seems pretty guaranteed to propping up his government now
00:08:38.480
with the support of opposition parties in the House of Commons.
00:08:43.760
So to our non-Canadian viewers and to our Canadian viewers who are watching and might not understand
00:08:48.000
what's actually happening in Parliament right now and what the Trudeau government is trying to do
00:08:52.020
to try to remain in power, can you break it down for us?
00:08:54.840
How is Trudeau trying to hang on to power there in Canada?
00:08:59.000
Well, he already reached a loose coalition with the New Democratic Party.
00:09:05.340
They only have about 25 seats in the House of Commons.
00:09:08.140
But it's just enough for Trudeau to retain a majority of votes on any confidence motions.
00:09:14.820
Now, they've been wavering up late because they're worried about losing their base.
00:09:19.280
Because a lot of the people who vote New Democrat are saying,
00:09:24.300
why are you siding with Trudeau on so many of these policies that we can't agree with
00:09:30.820
And a lot of the caucus members are feeling the same way.
00:09:33.780
So when the NDP voted with the Conservatives on a motion to extend this carbon tax pause,
00:09:42.820
And he started looking for more support in the House of Commons.
00:09:46.500
And he had a secret meeting with the Bloc Québécois,
00:09:56.700
They're not there for any degree of federalism.
00:09:59.500
They are only in the House of Commons to try to entice Quebec to separate,
00:10:06.160
Now, Trudeau has forged some kind of alliance with the Bloc.
00:10:14.040
He won't say what kind of goodies he had to hand over to the separatists to get his way.
00:10:24.000
because the one thing you can say about Trudeau's father,
00:10:27.200
who was Prime Minister for about 15 years in Canada,
00:10:32.420
he at least was a true Federalist who did not support separatism.
00:10:37.260
And he went out of his way to say that on many occasions.
00:10:47.660
He is the most amoral Prime Minister that I can remember.
00:10:53.300
He will do whatever he wants to do or has to do to maintain his grip on power.
00:11:02.260
he can inflict more damage on his country than he's already done in eight years.
00:11:06.320
And the potential for catastrophe, not just economic, but social and political,
00:11:12.180
is so obvious that I am frightened for the prospect of this country's future right now.
00:11:22.580
I have to say, to me, you know, back in the day, and I'll just get you out of here on this,
00:11:27.240
back in the day when I was in, I think, elementary school, I had to write reports on the provinces of Canada.
00:11:33.620
In the United States, I had to learn about Canada and was fascinated by this country.
00:11:37.100
And I thought, oh, what a peaceful place, what a beautiful place, you know, very tolerant place.
00:11:42.660
And it's in many ways unrecognizable to those young elementary school eyes that I had back in the day.
00:11:49.200
And I can't tell you just the stories that we hear out of Canada, the clamping down on media,
00:11:53.680
the clamping down on independent press, free speech.
00:11:58.940
And trying to ban Tucker Carlson from Canada, it's remarkable.
00:12:04.940
David Creighton, though, is not trying to ban Tucker Carlson from Canada.
00:12:10.100
You can read his great writings over at the Post Millennial, also his YouTube channel, Creighton's Right.
00:12:15.100
David, keep fighting the good fight up there in Canada.
00:12:17.560
Hopefully we can restore Canada to its former glory.
00:12:23.160
And my prayers are also with the United States, because I used to always go across the border and say,
00:12:32.060
But I think that United States had much more to do with Ronald Reagan than it ever will with Joe Biden.
00:12:38.800
And I hope United States as well regains the freedom and the sense of liberty that country always had.
00:12:49.400
I think, you know, we can foment change from the inside, both in Canada and the United States.
00:13:04.300
Hi, this is David Creighton from Creighton's Right and Stand on Guard.
00:13:16.500
I've been practicing journalism in one form or another for over 30 years.
00:13:20.620
I've worked in print, radio, and television for a lot of prestigious publications and media outlets.
00:13:34.480
And I know how corrupt federal government can be.
00:13:37.840
But you can play a part in opposing Justin Trudeau's government and Justin Trudeau's plans for Canada.
00:13:48.860
You can become a part of the Creighton's right resistance.
00:13:52.120
Now, I urge you today, please support this station in any way you can.
00:14:00.940
Because that ensures you're at least going to continue to be able to watch these episodes.
00:14:08.180
But more importantly, I need your financial support.
00:14:15.700
I made a decision to pursue independent media because I believe it was the best possible route for me to take as a journalist and as a concerned citizen of Canada.
00:14:30.580
And at only $5, you can become a part of that on YouTube, on Substack, and with buying me a copy, a one-time donation.
00:14:45.140
If you've already done that, if you're already supporting this station, thank you.
