00:00:13.640 hero we will not continue to allow the uniparty to run this town without a fight i want to thank you 1.00

00:00:21.200 matt gates for holding the line matt gates is a courageous man if we had hundreds of matt gates

00:00:28.220 in dc the country turns around it's that simple he's so tough he's so strong he's smart and he

00:00:34.980 loves this country matt gates it is the honor of my life to fight alongside each and every one of you

00:00:42.780 we will save america it's choose your fighter time send in the firebrands 0.76

00:00:48.580 welcome back to firebrand we are live broadcasting out of room 2021 of the rayburn house office

00:00:59.740 building here on the capitol complex in washington dc we've got new evidence regarding impeachment and

00:01:05.620 joe biden directly benefiting from the hunter biden shell companies that were moving funds

00:01:10.840 from a lot of corrupt foreigners into the family members of in fact joe biden and joe biden himself

00:01:17.900 we've also got more evidence about bidenomics continuing to fail showing economic decline and

00:01:24.420 becoming a bit of a political albatross house democrats indicating that they might not even

00:01:29.640 be campaigning on the bidenomics brand designating it as tone deaf of course as stuff continues to cost

00:01:37.040 more and the american people continue to have lower and lower prospects of their economic future

00:01:41.140 running on bidenomics is a bad idea and acting it into policy an even worse idea but i have to start

00:01:49.300 with the story that's got everyone in the sunshine state fuming the florida state seminoles undefeated

00:01:55.800 acc conference champions left out of the college football playoff this committee of oracles sit

00:02:02.020 together and they were able to determine that the four teams that would compete for the national

00:02:08.280 championship would include two teams alabama and texas who had indeed lost a game when the noles had

00:02:14.200 gone undefeated the college football playoff committee asserted that the reason an injury to fsu star

00:02:21.240 quarterback jordan travis in the north alabama game several weeks ago showcased a different style of

00:02:28.420 seminoles offense well you know what i believe that because florida state showed diversity in

00:02:34.620 their capability of winning they ought to have been rewarded not punished by the college football

00:02:38.980 playoff committee they won games scoring over 40 points like in the first game of the season against

00:02:44.620 lsu they continued to have a dominant offense of course the quarterback jordan travis being central to

00:02:50.840 that but even after his injury the noles showed they were able to win with a backup quarterback

00:02:56.800 in gainesville a hostile environment our friends down there in hogtown not always too hospitable to

00:03:03.520 the noles but then also with defense they say defense wins championships but i guess it couldn't get you

00:03:10.280 into the championship game if you're the noles they held a louisville team with a pretty sophisticated

00:03:17.640 offensive scheme a good quarterback and plumber held them to just field goals showed championship caliber

00:03:25.560 defense but not allowed to play showed different ways to win not allowed to play instead people get to

00:03:32.680 play for the championship lost games and is it just me or does this signal a societal turn away from

00:03:41.940 merit and winning towards sophistry it was a point made by espn's burger mcfarland he was a dissenting voice

00:03:51.440 a voice in the wilderness but take a listen right now

00:03:55.040 this is a travesty to the sport because we go out there on the field and we play the game and regardless of whether

00:04:02.600 it looks good at the quarterback position regardless whether we win with offense whether we win with defense the name of

00:04:07.660 the game is to win and that's a reason never before has this not been done winning a power five conference going

00:04:13.880 undefeated and not getting into the playoff so i understand we want to look at style points and who are we going to get for the best

00:04:20.860 matchups but that's not what this is about this is about understanding to get the four best teams

00:04:26.280 one team has a loss and that's alabama one team doesn't in florida state and the fact that this committee

00:04:31.700 could take a power five conference champion that's undefeated those kids have went out there and busted

00:04:37.340 their behind and not get into the playoff based on the eye test mind you this is the same alabama team

00:04:42.220 who needed a prayer in jordan hair to beat an auburn team that lost to new mexico state so 0.89

00:04:46.860 that's really what has me bothered right now that was booger mcfarland standing up for the prospect

00:04:54.360 of merit and winning and this has gotten the attention of florida senator rick scott who sent

00:04:59.860 a letter to mr boo corrigan the chairman of the college football selection committee and in his

00:05:05.880 letter senator scott notes that in the 10-year history of the college football playoff they have

00:05:10.680 never excluded the undefeated champion of a power five conference and he continues to write beyond

00:05:17.840 the fury and heartbreak caused by the committee's decision there are also financial implications

00:05:22.920 that must be discussed the acc and fsu have been denied two million dollars of revenue distribution

00:05:29.020 from the college football playoff due to the committee's decision to remove the seminoles from

00:05:33.580 playoff contention indeed there is that financial impact and so senator scott has sent a list of uh

00:05:40.320 of 10 things that he wants from the college football playoffs including their listing step and their

00:05:45.900 ranking step votes any notes or recordings or reports detailing their deliberations emails and text

00:05:53.620 messages including those back and forth with espn disney among the members among anyone else and he

00:06:01.660 demands these things um quite promptly so we'll see if senator scott is able to get an answer to those

00:06:09.140 questions we'll be eager to see if it uh if it turns up any malfeasance or misfeasance president

00:06:16.000 trump weighed in as well putting out on truth social the statement florida state was treated very badly by

00:06:22.480 the committee they became the first power five teams to be left out of the college football playoffs

00:06:27.520 really bad lobbying effort let's blame to sanctimonious says with a little tongue in cheek there i don't

00:06:34.040 know if i blame our governor for that i blame the college football selection committee we've got also

00:06:40.440 important information on impeachment that i want to bring to your attention uh committee chairman james

00:06:47.220 comber leads our oversight effort he now has evidence that awasca one of the shell companies that was run by

00:06:54.660 hunter biden has made direct payments to joe biden now keep in mind we call these business entities

00:07:01.140 companies but they made no product provided no service they were merely pass-throughs to get foreign money

00:07:09.140 into the bank accounts of the biden family here's the oversight chairman james comber

00:07:13.300 today the house oversight committee is releasing subpoenaed bank records that show hunter biden's

00:07:21.180 business entity awasco pc made direct monthly payments to joe biden this wasn't a payment from

00:07:28.120 hunter biden's personal account but an account for his corporation that received payments from china

00:07:33.060 and other shady corners of the world at this moment hunter biden is under an investigation by the

00:07:38.920 department of justice for using awasco pc for tax evasion and other serious crimes and based on

00:07:45.640 whistleblower testimony we know the justice department made a concerted effort

00:07:49.500 to prevent investigators from asking questions about joe biden i wonder why the more we learn

00:07:57.160 it appears the justice department was trying to cover up for the bidens until brave rs whistleblowers

00:08:03.700 came forward and a federal judge rejected the sweetheart plea deal payments from hunter's business

00:08:09.720 entity to joe biden are now part of a pattern revealing joe biden knew about participated in

00:08:16.280 and benefited from his family's influence peddling schemes when joe biden was vice president he spoke

00:08:23.940 by phone attended dinners and had coffee with his son's foreign business associates he allowed his

00:08:30.300 son to catch a ride on air force two at least a dozen times to sell the biden brand around the world

00:08:36.280 hunter biden requested office keys to be made for his office mate joe biden in space he planned to share

00:08:43.700 with a chinese energy company we've revealed how joe biden received checks from his family that

00:08:48.960 were funded by the biden's influence peddling schemes with china no less the house oversight

00:08:54.860 committee continues to investigate joe biden's involvement in his family's domestic and

00:08:59.760 international business schemes at a rapid pace we will continue to uncover the facts and provide

00:09:05.680 transparency about the findings of our investigation president biden and his family must be held

00:09:11.360 accountable for this blatant corruption the american people expect no less

00:09:16.780 that was oversight chairman james comer signaling a new level of intensity in this effort keep in mind

00:09:26.660 hunter biden and frank biden hadn't even gotten a subpoena when kevin mccarthy was speaker mike johnson

00:09:33.320 becoming speaker seems to have accelerated at least some of the oversight efforts and we get this report

00:09:39.200 out of nbc news is christina zhou speaker mike johnson says he thinks he has the votes to

00:09:44.680 authorize a biden impeachment inquiry uh that investigation being led by judiciary oversight in

00:09:50.800 ways and means and you see from mike johnson in this piece quote they're preventing at least two or

00:09:57.500 three doj witnesses from coming forward and withheld thousands of pages of evidence uh that as a basis to

00:10:04.420 continue this effort mike johnson spoke about this with house republican conference chair elise stefanik

00:10:10.120 recently on fox and friends take a listen all right let's get to another topic that will require

00:10:17.380 holding the entire republican conference together as well and that would be the i the the concept of

00:10:23.300 actually formally declaring an impeachment inquiry yes thus far it has been just that an inquiry

00:10:29.000 based on what's been found do you as the speaker with that power plan on bringing an actual vote on

00:10:36.080 impeachment it's it's become a necessary step elise and i both served on the impeachment defense team 0.69

00:10:41.100 of uh donald trump twice when the democrats used it for brazen partisan political purposes we decried

00:10:47.500 that use of it this is very different remember we are the rule of law team we have to do it very

00:10:51.980 methodically our three committees of jurisdiction judiciary oversight ways and means have been doing an

00:10:56.720 extraordinary job following the evidence where it leads but now we're being stonewalled by the white 1.00

00:11:01.140 house because they're preventing at least two to three doj witnesses from coming forward a former

00:11:05.700 white house council the national archives the white house has withheld thousands of pages of evidence so

00:11:10.460 a formal impeachment inquiry vote on the floor will allow us to take it to the next necessary step

00:11:15.800 and i think it's something we have to do at this juncture

00:11:17.880 we have to do it that's the house speaker indicating that the heat is getting turned up on the bidens

00:11:25.580 and as that's happening it's not like they're getting good news on the economic front today

00:11:31.320 breitbart news reported the data from the commerce department indicated that core capital goods orders

00:11:37.160 have fallen to the smallest annual gain since 2020 now this report explained that new orders from u.s made

00:11:45.280 capital goods a key measure of business spending fell three-tenths of a percentage point in october

00:11:51.660 after experts originally estimated that there would only be a decline of about a tenth of a percentage

00:11:57.180 point so it was three times worse than expected this report went on to say that capital goods orders

00:12:03.880 are up 0.3 percent compared to a year ago but that is quote the smallest 12-month gain since september of

00:12:11.660 2020 now the most interesting part of this is an axios report from yesterday the day before the data from the

00:12:19.840 commerce department came out titled house democrats ditch bidenomics messaging now here axios notes that

00:12:28.400 house democrats have rejected the biden white house's months-long attempt to try to embrace and own and sell

00:12:36.520 this term bidenomics and it shows that there is a real divide between democrats who will be on the ballot

00:12:43.240 and the messaging that the white house wants to lean into for the coming year the biden white house has

00:12:49.060 attempted to use this term and they've tried to use it to trot out the president's economic record

00:12:54.180 but it appears to have backfired axios's source says the use of the term bidenomics was quote tone

00:13:02.300 deaf to people economically struggling and that it took far too much to explain to voters now according to

00:13:09.320 the report house democrat leadership including their campaign groups and big super PACs have not used the

00:13:15.820 term bidenomics in months and have been avoiding the term on social media since polling has shown that

00:13:22.720 the term is ineffective and absolutely not breaking through so massive fail on the bidenomics front and

00:13:30.340 it's not as if the administration can turn to what's going on in the world as any sort of stability

00:13:36.100 remember joe biden ran to be the calming peaceful influence on the world but we are now

00:13:43.680 seeing just conflict erupt in just about every continent on the planet earth here is john kirby

00:13:50.740 hitting the sunday show circuit talking about how the u.s missed intelligence in the middle east take a

00:13:56.420 listen john i have to ask you about this new york times reporting which found that israeli officials

00:14:03.440 received hamas's specific attack plan over a year ago was the united states aware of this intelligence and

00:14:10.340 if not why not the intelligence community has uh has indicated that uh that they uh did not have

00:14:16.560 uh access to this document that there's no indications at this time that they had any

00:14:21.020 access to this document beforehand should they have given how closely u.s and israeli intelligence

00:14:26.400 officials coordinate or are supposed to coordinate intelligence is a mosaic and uh sometimes you

00:14:31.500 know you can fashion things together and get a pretty good picture other times you know that there's

00:14:36.120 pieces of the puzzle that are missing as i said our own intelligence community said that they've

00:14:40.380 looked at this they have no indications at this time that uh that they had any advance warning of

00:14:44.840 this document or any knowledge of it john very quickly was this a failure on the part of israeli

00:14:49.100 intelligence and u.s intelligence i think there's going to be a time uh and a place for israel to do

00:14:54.620 that sort of forensic work i mean prime minister netanyahu's already spoken pretty candidly about this and

00:14:59.880 calling it you know a failure on their part they'll take a look at this at the right time they need to do

00:15:04.500 that right now though the focus has got to be on making sure that they can eliminate this truly

00:15:09.560 genocidal threat to the israeli people 0.97

00:15:11.320 must be tough continuing to have to explain away failures in intelligence and tactics and

00:15:19.780 capabilities but that is increasingly what the biden white house has had to do president trump gave us

00:15:25.240 peace through strength they give us war without winning i also want to bring your attention to a story

00:15:31.260 i saw on the federalist that's concerning about how these efforts to try to take people's law license

00:15:37.400 away has been increasingly weaponized the federalist gives us this headline feds withhold election docs

00:15:44.020 key to jeff clark's dc bar defense jeff clark of course the department of justice official who's been

00:15:50.480 scapegoated by jack smith scapegoated by the january 6th committee he was concerned about very real

00:15:56.960 efforts to try to undermine our election through malign influence and he wanted to investigate

00:16:02.760 any sort of claim of fraud or challenge and he was disrupted in his efforts to do so now they're

00:16:09.220 trying to take his law license away so he wants to get the predicate information from the department

00:16:14.480 of justice and the office of the director of national intelligence and according to this piece in the

00:16:19.900 federalist both the office of dni and the doj have refused to hand over several key election integrity

00:16:26.100 documents that would aid trump era doj official jeff clark's defense against the dc bar which seeks to

00:16:32.920 discipline him for noting inconsistencies in the 2020 election clark requested several key pieces of

00:16:39.560 evidence related to the election issues from the odni and the doj to prepare for his upcoming defense in

00:16:45.360 the dc bar case his attempt to secure due process however was hampered by stonewalling from both

00:16:51.900 odni and doj jeff clark truly standing in the breach before we go i wanted to bring you into a conversation i was able to

00:17:01.560 have recently with mark k mark k is one of our great conservative media personalities in sunshine state he wrote a book

00:17:09.760 about maybe some of the features of the christmas story you're not entirely aware of so get in the season and get ready for

00:17:16.920 this discussion with mark k take a listen we're joined now by mark k who's the host of the mark k show

00:17:24.840 which you can find at 104.5 in jacksonville wkob and syndicated throughout the country mark i want to get to

00:17:33.480 the book you wrote about christmas but before that just your reaction to kind of the news that uh that has

00:17:39.960 rocked washington george santos being expelled the republican majority reduced your take well you know

00:17:47.340 i always whenever something like this happens i run right to the congressional record and i look to see

00:17:51.840 who voted which way because that's important i think a lot of people they forget that the reason

00:17:57.060 these things happen is because their political leaders who they voted for and elected locally go up

00:18:00.800 there and make these decisions and lo and behold there he was district five in florida john rutherford my

00:18:07.280 very own representative voting to house george santos along with another you know couple of

00:18:11.880 surprising names on the docket but i have the my reaction was a reaction that a lot of my audience

00:18:17.540 members had and that is look we know the guy had some questionable behavior we know he maybe didn't

00:18:22.020 run the best campaign and he maybe spent money on stuff he shouldn't have but he's not guilty of

00:18:25.820 anything yet he hasn't been convicted of anything yet and isn't that the precedent that's been set

00:18:30.600 in the house of representatives for expelling members that's what it was with traffic hands and everyone else

00:18:34.580 so um yeah it seems like another win for the democrat party and another another self-inflicted

00:18:40.420 loss for the republicans and that's got all of us scratching our heads yeah when we're not able to

00:18:45.040 do the budgetary work that we need to do the border work that we need to do because we're short you know

00:18:51.420 this vote i wonder how much moral self-preening some of my republican colleagues will do on this point

00:18:58.180 you know one thing that really got me mark was that we had four members of congress

00:19:02.400 who stood in the way of impeachment and accountability for mayorkas and then voted to

00:19:09.020 expel santos that's a congresswoman virginia fox congressman ken buck congressman cliff

00:19:14.300 bends and congressman duarte of california how do you square being a republican

00:19:20.040 voting to expel santos but then frustrating the effort to impeach mayorkas you know it's interesting

00:19:27.100 because we were chatting with your buddy uh congressman aaron bean the other day and i said

00:19:31.300 to him doesn't anybody ever just run into the room and say look the democrats all vote together

00:19:36.380 they don't like each other either but at least they hate us more can we do the same thing and he said

00:19:41.560 yeah you know there's a lot of folks from from blue states there's a lot of you know you got these

00:19:45.640 california republicans as you mentioned you got ken buck who's basically out the door he's just trying

00:19:50.420 to i believe burn the place down on his way out so it's it's difficult from us outside looking in

00:19:56.080 to think to ourselves constantly you've got red state democrats but they don't care what happens

00:20:01.600 they always vote with the blue state democrats for whatever reason the blue state republicans many

00:20:06.340 of whom you just mentioned they don't vote for the republicans and i guess they've just got their

00:20:10.880 local media maybe they're maybe they're they're way too worried that they're going to get primaried

00:20:14.960 because they don't have a strong enough you know gop backing them back home who knows the reason but

00:20:19.280 the democrats have really put fear in all of those blue state congressmen on the republican side

00:20:23.940 and it's working yeah red state or blue state i wouldn't want to have to make the case to my

00:20:28.400 voters right that i was like hyper principled vis-a-vis santos but then not so much on my

00:20:35.920 orcas uh i want to get this amazing great christmas uh book that uh that you wrote the untold story of

00:20:41.400 christmas uh and and here we go i'm gonna get a good good shot of the cover oh look at that look at

00:20:46.080 that beautiful thing so what what uh what do you think people need to know about christmas that they don't

00:20:50.080 know well you know this is a uh this is the story that we started telling a couple years ago for a

00:20:54.680 lot of people know that i slid into rush limbaugh's spot after he passed on all of our our uh our

00:21:00.240 networks are all of our network radio stations and he every thanksgiving would tell the the true story

00:21:05.420 of thanksgiving which is an important moment in our in our american society that has been totally

00:21:09.640 bastardized and totally rewritten by the left they've tried to take the thanksgiving story and turn

00:21:14.460 it from what it was a a turning point in american history into a a story of racist americans and so

00:21:20.900 rush took the time every year to make sure that people know that knew the truth and you know people

00:21:25.140 would call my show and they'd say look will you tell that story and i said absolutely not that was

00:21:28.520 russia's story you can hear him on youtube or where else uh read that but at christmas time i did

00:21:33.760 decide to start my own tradition by sharing one of my own stories and it's a story basically of the

00:21:38.120 birth of jesus as seen though from the side of caesar augustus who a lot of people don't know

00:21:42.700 is the guy who wanted to tax the citizens of rome and in doing so called a census because before you

00:21:49.360 tax people you got to count them and that was what led mary and joseph uh out of judea into bethlehem

00:21:55.060 where jesus was born and there's a real there's a real interesting foil between the life of caesar and

00:22:00.000 the life of jesus and i've woven them together into what i think is a really truly inspirational

00:22:04.620 story that's going to really help reinstill those christian values in your kids and your family and

00:22:10.080 whoever you share it with and and we share it on our radio show every year and now because it's in

00:22:14.300 printed form you can share it with your family whenever you want hey everyone knows you know

00:22:18.260 julius caesar as the caesar but it was in fact caesar augustus who who built the great cathedrals and

00:22:24.080 did so much to uh to bring rome to a point of uh of great splendor uh is it is it just that he didn't

00:22:31.480 reach as tragic an end and so thus uh the tragedy draws our attention to that history more

00:22:36.900 well you know it's interesting because caesar augustus the reason he wanted all of these

00:22:41.700 cathedrals built and all of these altars and all of these golden marble statues in his image

00:22:45.840 is because his own senate told him he was a god he thought he was a god he wanted to be revered and

00:22:51.800 remembered as a god and that's why he needed the money that's why mary and joseph and everyone else

00:22:56.540 in judea was getting taxed and in the end years later yes we know who caesar augustus is but it's not

00:23:02.860 him it's the poor child the son of a carpenter born in a manger who is actually revered as a god who

00:23:09.620 actually is remembered and who has cathedrals and marble statues and gold statues and altars

00:23:14.840 built in his memory not by himself but by those of us who love him and worship him for years and

00:23:21.060 years and years the book is the untold story of christmas the author is mark k the host of the

00:23:26.520 mark k show my good friend and fellow florida man and mark as people understand better the intersection

00:23:31.560 of what was going on from a faith standpoint from a messiah standpoint and then also this this i guess

00:23:39.760 the true machinations of government right the census the taxing weaving those together how do you think

00:23:46.100 that can enrich people's understanding of christmas you know it's really interesting that you bring that

00:23:51.100 up because the more i study the bible the more i study history the more i just open up the you know

00:23:56.020 go to the drudge report you see that these whole things it's happening over and over and over again the

00:24:00.420 excessive taxing for things that the people don't actually need but that the uh that the elite

00:24:05.320 want it's happening today in our very own society and the more you study what's going on in america

00:24:10.460 and the world you'll notice hey that was happening back in the time of christ these these you know

00:24:15.480 histories and these stories continue to repeat uh when you look at you know what happened with jesus and

00:24:20.140 mary as parents the things that they faced are things that parents today are facing and of course the

00:24:25.560 attacks on our morality too so when you look at the study of the messiah or the birth of jesus and

00:24:30.500 the life and times you'll see that they always say those who don't study are doomed to repeat it and

00:24:35.240 it seems like even today we are repeating that message these fake guys i mean joe biden claims to be

00:24:40.400 a catholic but if you really understood what catholicism was you'd see that that's probably not

00:24:45.220 the case so as i read the book and you know you you present these scenes and images of judea and

00:24:53.580 samaria and this trip to bethlehem and you know my heart couldn't help but go to the people in israel

00:24:59.700 now and what's happening in this great conflict what's your perspective on how all that ends you

00:25:05.980 know it's really interesting because you bring up a fantastic point we're listening to the battles of

00:25:10.840 the jews and the muslims jews and the muslims palestine and israel but what we're talking about

00:25:15.660 is the place where jesus was born and where christianity was born and jews jerusalem until

00:25:20.440 and all the you know from the river to the sea palestine will be free they're talking about a

00:25:25.680 place that is of historical significance to christians as well and that gets lost in the

00:25:30.180 shuffle the big difference there is that christianity is not it's not a government you know

00:25:34.380 israel is a government and gaza is a government and hamas as well they're a terrorist organization

00:25:39.040 pretending to be a government so in the mix of it all christians i think are torn between a place

00:25:44.120 in this world that is holy to them as well and two governments that they are unfamiliar with and are

00:25:49.580 kind of not bound to however when you look at who's right and who's wrong i think it's pretty

00:25:54.720 clear one side is right and the other side is hamas so um i think you know from a christian standpoint

00:26:01.160 it's pretty clear to see which side we should choose and anyone who chooses otherwise really should

00:26:05.740 probably reflect on their on their christian morality and and you know maybe maybe do some

00:26:09.960 soul searching right now we're at this real interesting time where the this concept of the

00:26:16.420 separation of church and state is interfacing with new jurisprudence that we've gotten out of the trump

00:26:22.060 supreme court there was that case where the high school football coach was punished because after the

00:26:28.920 game they went to the 50 yard line and prayed and the the trump court overturned that said no you can't

00:26:35.520 punish you know a coach for praying at the 50 yard line and i wonder what frontiers that opens up

00:26:42.880 kind of in light of the themes in your book to say look you religion and government even from the

00:26:48.620 beginning of the christian faith that there there is an intertwining there is a a causal relationship

00:26:55.420 when government does certain things it has this this cascading effect on how faith evolves and

00:27:01.840 develops and then certainly the founders of our country hoped that our faith would would inspire us

00:27:07.360 to build a better government that had ever been built before how do you think we we strike this balance

00:27:13.340 how should lawmakers and americans think about the way to have the best society in our country

00:27:19.240 well you know i'm i'm very hands-off you know the united states of america small government is is the

00:27:26.500 only good government there is so the less that there's interference i believe of course the better

00:27:30.880 being here in the state of florida we all believe that school is for writing reading arithmetic you know

00:27:36.240 all those other great the civics would be nice if we threw that back into our educational system

00:27:39.760 and that everyone else can just you know live by the tenets of the uh of the first amendment freedom of

00:27:45.180 religion freedom of speech the problem is when people get get offended either really offended or

00:27:51.240 fake offended um at somebody else's beliefs and somebody else's religion and somebody else's

00:27:55.840 practices i've been to tons of places where people have prayed and i never i just would look at them

00:28:01.220 say oh that's nice and think nothing of it they believe one thing i've seen you know people from

00:28:05.840 other religions who i don't understand what they're doing but i appreciate their right and their desire

00:28:10.160 to do it uh if we can all get back to kind of minding our own business and realizing that the less

00:28:14.280 government overreach we have the better i think that that's something that uh i think that that's

00:28:19.360 something that could really instill some more of that religious freedom that doesn't overstep the

00:28:24.160 separation of church and state although as you pointed out without the church we wouldn't have a

00:28:28.440 state so yeah i i when you look at the obviously the founding of the country and this this hope that

00:28:34.660 uh free exercise of religion not the establishment of a national religion but certainly you know a a nation

00:28:41.280 built on judeo-christian values would be one that would be inclusive and accommodating uh to people

00:28:46.880 of all faiths there are times i wonder whether or not we've really achieved that it's going to be

00:28:52.340 interesting moving forward i'm really i'm really questioning this whole debate in the united states

00:28:59.100 of america between israel and palestine or israel and hamas and i think what that shows is that there

00:29:04.740 is a basic lack of understanding fundamentally the two faiths because really if you look at it

00:29:09.860 what the people who are pro hamas the people that came into your office building and sat down in

00:29:14.520 the vestibule and started screaming and had to be removed by the police uh what those folks are

00:29:18.580 doing is they're attacking the jewish religion when really their qualm is with the jewish state the

00:29:23.820 government the idf um and that's something that i think is is troubling whereas i notice a lot of

00:29:29.660 the jewish citizens here in the united states and in israel they are attacking hamas they don't attack 0.99

00:29:34.460 muslims per se they attack the organization that is that is put in place to govern um the muslim body 0.99

00:29:40.760 in palestine and in gaza so they're able to separate and differentiate but when it comes to 0.68

00:29:45.780 the jewish state in israel people just look at jews whether it's a religious sect or a government body

00:29:51.140 or a group of individuals as the same thing and that's really troubling and that's where i think

00:29:55.420 we're going to get into danger here in the united states it's such an essential distinction and

00:29:59.500 as we come up on the christmas season you know uh the you can't help but notice that there's more

00:30:07.640 and more an effort to try to uh have you know christmas light right yeah xmas yeah what what does

00:30:16.700 it say about uh the commercialization of this faith-based holiday that uh that it's sort of moved away from

00:30:25.400 some of these historical and uh and religious roots that uh that you write about in in the book

00:30:31.580 well you know what we're starting to see uh kind of from a capitalist standpoint and i think we saw

00:30:36.720 it with by bob eiger and his announcement that disney is going to drop the woke stuff because it just

00:30:41.240 doesn't sell anymore and they're going to get back to their basic tenet of of entertaining families

00:30:45.980 as which in here here in florida was what we always thought they were doing all along um i think people

00:30:50.520 are starting to realize that the very the minority this loud and vocal woke minority is destroying more

00:30:57.520 companies than it is helping and before you had the lgbtq issue before you had the trans agenda before

00:31:02.940 you had all that other stuff you had the anti-christian or the anti-christmas agenda and that is something

00:31:08.380 that that permeates still today but my hope is as we see this parallel economy you see these places

00:31:14.320 popping up rumble and newsmax where i host my show as you see you know public square and elon musk

00:31:19.760 who gets up on stage and tells the advertisers well we all know what he told the advertisers to do

00:31:24.020 i think we're starting to see that the parallel economies are growing and that the christian

00:31:29.780 conservative fundamental american economy has a big strong voice and that a lot of that christianity is

00:31:36.820 going to be returning to christmas and that is another that is another concept that i hope i want

00:31:41.200 people to know yes it's okay to celebrate christmas to say merry christmas and to read christmas stories

00:31:46.380 because no matter what you're celebrating this time of years i mean you can say happy holidays but the

00:31:50.840 holiday that we're all talking about is christmas and there is uh i think a real virtue in understanding

00:31:57.680 the history so that people can can lash that appreciation of christmas with with what went on

00:32:04.980 and what created this remarkable moment in the entire human existence again the book is the untold story

00:32:11.660 of christmas mark k is the author mark how do folks pick up the book it's available of course anywhere books are sold
