00:01:10.160 joined now by the aforementioned Pearson Sharp and David Pollock. And the big story this week,
00:01:15.820 It looked like an action movie, a fly Dubai flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel,
00:01:22.700 an attempted hijacking, it seems, by the co-pilot who stabbed the pilot and then plummeted the
00:01:28.900 aircraft 14,000 feet in a matter of seconds. Ultimately, the aircraft had a damaged rudder
00:01:34.160 as a consequence, and regular passengers who were pilots took control of the plane during that
00:01:41.160 dissent saving 170 people who are on board. What I know is that if I were on an aircraft and there
00:01:49.540 were no actual trained pilots, the one man with the Indiana Jones skills on the planet Earth to
00:01:55.340 save all 170 people would be Pearson Sharp. Pearson, what do you make of this attempted
00:02:01.960 hijacking? I mean, I did spend a good number of years in my youth playing Microsoft Flight
00:02:06.840 simulator i i would hope those hours would come to good use um i mean it's terrifying it's terrifying
00:02:13.440 to imagine that something like this could happen i you you always wonder when you're in that when
00:02:19.220 you hear about this what you would do in that situation how would you respond would you be the
00:02:22.340 guy sitting next to him who would leap on this guy and and fight back i don't know i have no idea
00:02:27.500 you want to think that you would be but clearly we needed some more air marshals on that plane
00:02:33.280 at this point david i mean the guy chanted death to america yeah so i mean which is weird because
00:02:39.920 the flight was going to israel so it tells you uh just how dangerous this is because this was a
00:02:46.460 pilot i mean it's not like some some guy who's in the ninth row that forced his way into the
00:02:50.080 cockpit weird um but hey a lot of lives were saved the guy was a hero i think he met with
00:02:55.700 netanyahu later that day i think he already met with him and um it's a crazy story but it shows
00:03:01.340 you just how vulnerable we are to terror and uh how we really need to think through everything
00:03:06.460 yeah this i mean this is not uncommon there was another pilot uh who crashed a plane uh i forget
00:03:12.400 which airline it was a few years ago well at least they they they thought he they intentionally
00:03:17.120 crashed a plane so i think maybe we need to send all of our pilots in for some psychological
00:03:21.540 testing and make them swear allegiance to we do by the way uh david we we in the united states
00:03:27.820 put pilots through regular mental health screening. Airlines are actually way better at it than the
00:03:34.000 government. They've developed ways to do these tests and to track various trends in someone's
00:03:39.840 responses. And in this particular case, El Al Airlines, which is, you know, the big Israel
00:03:46.200 airline, they weren't doing these flights anymore. They had assessed that these flights were too
00:03:51.060 dangerous. This UAE-supported airline, Fly Dubai, was still making the transit. And it shows that
00:04:00.140 maybe we've got to become more resilient as a populace to understand why and how various
00:04:06.120 airlines are doing these screenings, because you are at the mercy of the people that are in that
00:04:11.380 cockpit. And I do believe it was the hand of God here. When you look at the violent attack,
00:04:16.660 the close quarters, the rapid descent, the way that these people were able to save themselves
00:04:22.840 by getting pilots in the cockpit to rescue the aircraft, really a remarkable thing.
00:04:27.920 I do want to also get your take on one of the big political backlashes that we saw this week,
00:04:35.140 and it was to the Brad ad, the campaign ad, the campaign style ad from Sarah Huckabee Sanders,
00:04:41.120 the governor of Arkansas. I like Sarah Huckabee a lot. I think she's going to have a lot to say.
00:04:46.660 about national politics going forward as a candidate for president or vice president.
00:04:51.120 I think she's got a great record to run on out of Arkansas.
00:04:53.920 But this ad rings as tone deaf because of the subject of the ire.
00:05:00.260 For those who haven't seen it yet, take a listen.
00:05:03.000 Yeah.
00:05:03.620 You want some of this?
00:05:04.680 Take that.
00:05:05.200 Come on.
00:05:05.800 Meet Brad.
00:05:06.800 Brad has turned relaxing into a full-time profession.
00:05:11.040 But you, you actually work hard.
00:05:13.540 You pay taxes to cover welfare for guys like Brad, who just choose not to work.
00:05:19.700 That's why I launched a welfare-to-work requirement. 0.73
00:05:24.540 Now, more Arkansans are working than ever before.
00:05:29.900 Even Brad.
00:05:35.180 David Pollack, what did you notice about the reaction to this political communication?
00:05:41.500 I didn't get it.
00:05:42.800 I get it. People are like, oh, I'm sick of the war against the white and all that other stuff.
00:05:48.480 And, you know, I'm interested to get Pearson's take on this.
00:05:50.560 But I looked at it like this.
00:05:51.960 She wanted to make a funny ad that kind of pointed out that people can work.
00:05:56.520 They just don't want to because they're enjoying their life at home. 1.00
00:05:58.840 And if she were to take, you know, an ethnic person, I think it would have went even worse. 1.00
00:06:06.520 So I think she took the safe approach and said, look, let's just use Brad. 0.68
00:06:10.220 So nobody can say I'm being racist or assuming a certain ethnicity of people isn't working.
00:06:15.180 Brad's the safe bet.
00:06:17.060 And look, I love cheese balls.
00:06:19.160 And so, you know, I get Brad not wanting to work.
00:06:22.180 But look, I think it got taken way out of context.
00:06:24.940 I think the Internet ran away with it.
00:06:28.020 You know, what are you going to do?
00:06:29.360 And she is a great governor.
00:06:31.220 Before we get Pearson, every man reaction to this, let me let me offer a defense of the reactionaries here.
00:06:38.800 Yeah. We've seen a lot of politicians who make bad decisions because they're afraid of being called racist.
00:06:46.160 Yeah. And I'm not saying this is Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
00:06:49.220 But look in Minnesota. Right. The reason all that fraud happened in Minnesota is because everyone was afraid that if you started asking questions of the Somalis, somebody was going to call you a racist.
00:06:58.760 And what you said is entirely true. If they knew that if they had selected a racially appropriate welfare recipient, it would not have been a white guy called Brad in Arkansas. Right. 0.98
00:07:12.860 And so they didn't want a black woman. They didn't want a Hispanic woman. They wanted Brad because of that fear. And for someone like Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who is going to be a big player beyond Arkansas, does she fail a key test by not facing down the cancel culture, by not embracing the label and putting out the truth? 1.00
00:07:34.700 I remember J.D. Vance, when he ran for the United States Senate in Ohio, his first compelling ad,
00:07:40.740 he looks right to the camera and says, are you a racist? And he took on this notion that if you
00:07:46.580 wanted welfare to work, if you wanted strong borders, that somehow there was a racial tinge
00:07:52.060 to your policy desires. So, Pearson, are you accepting David's argument that welfare to work
00:07:57.860 is actually really good policy? We all support it. Work requirements are obviously the right
00:08:02.220 thing to do but when you when you dial the the bead on brad you miss the chance to show true
00:08:08.720 political courage what i hate is what you said is that she didn't want to be racist so she picked
00:08:16.660 on a white guy how is that not racist we are we are a race and the white people the white christian
00:08:24.860 males specifically in this country get dumped on more than any other race or ethnicity or group of 0.66
00:08:31.020 people that you have, in the history of the world, it is insane. We're the default. We're the de facto.
00:08:37.160 You can make fun of us. You can mock us. You can deride our religion, our history, our culture,
00:08:41.620 everything about us. You can mock it and destroy it and tear it down. And it's just fine because
00:08:45.720 we're the majority in this country. Meanwhile, whites are 7% of the population in the world, 0.98
00:08:50.440 and we have to take the crap of everybody else. I hate it. I think that is so awful. And you're 1.00
00:08:56.000 not going to fix a problem unless you admit what it actually is. And the problem is not white Brad 0.89
00:09:00.540 from Arkansas. It's Omar from Somalia, from Minneapolis. That is the problem. 85% of Somalians 0.99
00:09:08.320 are on welfare. 8% of whites are on welfare. You have got to actually address who was dragging
00:09:14.500 down the system before you can fix it. Okay. And I hear you. And I think your anger is placed
00:09:21.560 appropriately for a larger issue. I think Sarah Huckabee Sanders was using parody not to say, 0.99
00:09:29.860 I'm gonna use a white person instead of a black person 0.99
00:09:32.400 I think she was like 1.00
00:09:33.420 I'm gonna take somebody named Brad
00:09:35.320 Look, he had a nice couch
00:09:36.480 He was playing video games
00:09:38.040 He had his virtual
00:09:38.880 He wasn't 0.71
00:09:39.340 She didn't like take 1.00
00:09:40.460 No, she took a fat, jumpy white guy 1.00
00:09:42.160 No, no, she made him look like an idiot 1.00
00:09:43.620 No, no, no 1.00
00:09:45.040 You know who makes white people look like idiots? 1.00
00:09:47.740 Hollywood 1.00
00:09:48.080 Every modern sitcom
00:09:50.020 That's what this is 1.00
00:09:50.480 The white man is some fat, lazy person 1.00
00:09:52.760 That's exactly what they just showed 1.00
00:09:54.440 No, no, no
00:09:54.920 But this was different
00:09:55.680 She wanted to
00:09:56.360 How is that different than this, David?
00:09:58.100 Yeah, I'm gonna explain
00:09:58.820 It's different because she wanted to make a point that, look, if you can play video games, you can work.
00:10:04.460 She wasn't suggesting that a class of people were welfare recipients. 0.99
00:10:07.420 She showed a fat, lazy white guy as her example. 0.95
00:10:10.200 I think it wasn't a well-thought-out campaign, but I don't think she was thinking about becoming the poster child for misplaced anti-white sentiment in the country. 0.99
00:10:22.840 That's not what happened here.
00:10:23.780 Now, if you were to take a different argument, and it's the same thing that happened to Dan Scavino when he posted that picture from his wedding and it was AI animated.
00:10:30.660 Like, oh, let's let him eat cake.
00:10:32.160 He's so insensitive to the economic environment.
00:10:34.900 It's different.
00:10:35.600 Just because people are mad about one thing doesn't mean that any time there's a scintilla of possibility to use that as the issue to attack as the rallying cry for a bigger issue.
00:10:45.900 I just think it's misplaced.
00:10:47.060 I don't think Sarah Huckabee Sanders here and what she did with that ad is the best representation of what you're upset about.
00:10:53.180 I think there's a lot of really good representations for what you're talking about.
00:10:56.040 I don't think this ad is it.
00:10:57.140 She targeted the one demographic, young white men, who is the least likely to be on welfare
00:11:02.500 and the most likely to be locked out of the job market.
00:11:06.800 But her point wasn't, these are the people on welfare.
00:11:09.340 There's also a timing component here. Let me get in here for a moment.
00:11:11.900 There is a timing component.
00:11:13.540 Right now, we are seeing all the ads from the left demonize Republicans,
00:11:19.560 attack the things that we believe in.
00:11:21.920 And so we kind of want to see the Republican messaging have our back.
00:11:26.180 We want to see it reflect patriotism and a country that is ascendant and the themes that
00:11:32.060 President Trump has won elections on for quite some time now.
00:11:35.500 And instead, what you get is this attack.
00:11:39.040 And I just don't know how you can talk about welfare entirely divorced from race because
00:11:45.880 there are these huge disparities in how various races interact with the welfare system.
00:11:51.920 And so it is racially tinged.
00:11:53.960 And so you have to make a choice.
00:11:55.300 And, you know, maybe you get like, you know, a Brad and a Felipe and a Jamal and, you know, 0.98
00:12:01.180 an Indian and just like the whole village people thing, like while you're there.
00:12:05.420 But to draw it on Brad at a time when we need these young men to vote, that's the other
00:12:10.960 thing.
00:12:11.260 Like if the pure political scientist in me knows that whether we win this election or
00:12:16.360 not is going to be dependent on getting low propensity male voters who voted for Donald
00:12:23.640 Trump to show up in places like Iowa and Kansas and Michigan. And this ad going hot, how happy
00:12:31.540 are you if you're Mike Rogers, if you see this ad? Sarah Huckabee should win by a very healthy 0.99
00:12:36.840 margin. But if you're Ashley Hinson and you're fighting an ad in Iowa right now and people are
00:12:41.740 worried about diesel prices, are you glad that this is the Republican messaging? Or would you
00:12:45.780 rather see something that punches the democratic socialists in the face? Would you rather indict
00:12:51.140 them for their border policies or their economic policies? Instead, we're literally attacking the
00:12:57.080 exact group that we need to motivate. And so here's the question I want to ask the enraged
00:13:02.180 Pearson. How definitional is this for Sarah Huckabee Sanders? Because when I think of Sarah
00:13:08.760 Huckabee Sanders, it's like the image of strength, right? This brilliant, strong woman absolutely
00:13:14.580 manhandling the press from the lectern, being that tough working mom that so many Republican 0.94
00:13:23.220 women look up to.
00:13:25.120 And we see this now.
00:13:26.860 And is this a blip?
00:13:28.540 Or when you think Sarah Huckabee Sanders, are you thinking about this ad that got your
00:13:33.540 blood pressure to 220 over 110?
00:13:35.500 Yeah, I'm thinking about this ad and I'm thinking about all the times the Republicans
00:13:38.600 have just let us down and blamed the group that they need to support them right now.
00:13:43.140 This is not what we want to see.
00:13:44.560 This is just another example of Republicans backing down from the reality of the issues that we're facing.
00:13:50.860 This was an ad made by a committee.
00:13:52.400 I'm sure she didn't pick it.
00:13:53.500 She just got, you know, handed it.
00:13:55.320 She signed off on it, and that was, you know, she did her role.
00:13:58.120 That was it.
00:13:58.940 This is so awful.
00:14:01.060 I cannot believe that they put this kind of stuff out there.
00:14:03.940 Look, I'll say this, and I think—
00:14:05.660 David Pollack, definitional or not definitional?
00:14:08.100 I don't think it's—
00:14:09.120 Well, you made a really good point when you were talking about, one, messaging, and two, you know, this is the timing of this, right?
00:14:18.180 And I think that really supports my point I was making earlier is because people are so upset right now, because there's a lot of tension just beneath the surface, any opportunity to enrage folks that we need to get out and vote for us, well, we don't want to give them that opportunity.
00:14:33.180 And that's where the Dan Scaveno thing is.
00:14:34.560 We gave them the opportunity.
00:14:35.620 And with this ad, we gave them the opportunity.
00:14:38.580 And so we do need to be more careful about messaging right now at this critical moment, which I think is a bigger problem with messaging.
00:14:44.320 I think we're still all over the place with messaging, and we need to be consistent with it going into the midterms.
00:14:48.300 It might be too late.
00:14:49.160 But that being said, I don't think it would ever have been even wise or even it should ever be a position.
00:14:57.300 If you want to do welfare reform, it's not a racial issue.
00:15:00.500 It's a government issue.
00:15:01.500 So you don't need to take any racial group as the poster child for welfare.
00:15:05.720 You just need to say we need to rein this thing in. And if people there needs to be work requirements, we that was an unforced error, in my opinion.
00:15:13.160 But at the same time, I think she tapped into a lot of just under the surface frustration and anger.
00:15:19.280 As Pearson rightfully pointed out, I just don't think that that's what she was trying to communicate.
00:15:23.560 I think it was just a poorly done ad and a poorly timed ad. Mind you.
00:15:27.940 I'm going to ask you both this question. The question is not what you wish the Republican messaging would be.
00:15:35.060 And it's not what you think it should be. Like right now, if someone who didn't understand politics at all came up to you guys and said, oh, you know, David, you do a political show, Pearson, you, you know, are an investigative journalist. What is the Republican core message in the 2026 midterm? What do you think that answer is, David?
00:15:57.240 Do I do what it should be or what it is?
00:16:00.920 No, what it is. What do you think it is?
00:16:02.940 You know, I don't know. I really don't know. And then this is the problem. Like if I were to say, what is the Democrat core messaging? It's affordability. I mean, they have it locked down. You think Democrat, you know, it's instant name association. With Republicans, I don't know what the one thing is. Like you think of Trump 2020, 2016. It's build the wall. You think of Trump 2020.
00:16:25.840 I know what is it if you I'm watching the ads and I think this is the message you should reward
00:16:34.200 Republicans with your vote for passing the one big beautiful bill act and securing the border
00:16:40.420 that's what I think that's what I see in the ads I think that I think that's it and elections are
00:16:46.600 not about well it's just it's never what elections are about elections are about making new promises
00:16:52.080 to voters that cause those voters to believe that voting for you will make their life better.
00:16:57.820 Pearson, do you discern a different message?
00:17:00.580 I mean, when we see these ads, isn't it just kind of vote for us because we did the one
00:17:04.460 big, beautiful bill?
00:17:06.740 When you were asking that question, I was thinking, the only thing I can think the Republican
00:17:10.700 messaging is, please give us another chance.
00:17:14.600 That's it.
00:17:15.960 That's all they've got.
00:17:17.020 they have nothing like republicans republican voters patriot americans are not excited about
00:17:24.080 this the poll numbers are just devastating right now and i you know maga maga polling has never
00:17:32.280 been reliable and so we can never be certain what's going to happen with the maga voter because
00:17:37.220 they turn out in weird ways and in weird numbers um and right now maga voters are like surging for
00:17:44.400 trump they're at an all-time high they haven't dipped uh there's there was a poll that came out
00:17:49.280 that said maga voters are as likely as democrats to vote for trump but maga voters aren't everybody
00:17:54.940 you know that's that's not the majority of republicans uh or independents and a lot of
00:18:01.440 it is the majority of republicans are maga pearson i don't think that's true i i really don't i think
00:18:08.420 majority republicans are moderates set this boy straight um yeah i think all republicans are
00:18:14.200 MAGA at this point. I think there's a handful that weren't. And, you know, they're going the
00:18:17.960 way of Thomas Massey at this point. This is Trump's Republican Party. There are some establishment
00:18:21.920 holdouts, and they'll try to make a case for themselves coming into 2028. And then a lot of
00:18:25.940 them are quietly hoping that Trump doesn't win in 2026. But that being said, the Republican Party
00:18:30.600 is Trump's party now. Now, I will say this, and I thought about this the other day, because I've
00:18:34.140 been arguing a lot about the people, though. What's that? The party is not the people. Well,
00:18:37.340 the party is the people in the party that vote. So here, this will address your issue. And here
00:18:42.300 here it is i think we've been and i've been struggling a lot with let's keep the coalition
00:18:46.500 together and then i took a second to actually identify what the coalition is and we use the
00:18:51.860 word coalition so much from 2024 to now like the coalition is falling apart but here's the deal
00:18:57.120 that coalition although it's it's it's cleverly themed it's just the swing voters that we've had
00:19:03.540 in every single election that we've relied upon to either vote democrat or republican and
00:19:07.860 historically the swing voters just vote against who's ever in power because they blame government
00:19:12.900 for everything and so whether you're a libertarian whether you're npa whether you're a disaffected
00:19:16.840 democrat disaffected republican you know whatever all those people are a huge center chunk and matt
00:19:23.000 knows this better than anybody those are the people you really need to show up on election 0.64
00:19:26.600 now you need your base which is why you go with the red meat issues you need your base to turn 0.90
00:19:30.320 out if everybody's base turns out well then it's a fight over the middle over that swing vote to 0.69
00:19:35.140 see who pushes you over the top in a close election Trump owned the swing vote and that's
00:19:40.120 why he won so easily now that swing vote because he's in power as historically happens is going
00:19:45.000 okay well I don't like government again I'm gonna vote for this other option oh I don't like that
00:19:48.920 government either I'm gonna vote that's why they call them swing voters and so it's not Trump
00:19:52.900 losing the coalition it's swing voters doing what swing voters do I think the Republicans are solid
00:19:58.700 MAGA I think they're gonna get a larger share I think Republicans need a larger share of the MAGA
00:20:03.580 vote than people realize but i think democrats are going to get a large share because they're
00:20:07.300 angry too i think the middle chunk that swing vote is going to determine the outside of the
00:20:11.600 larger races but these local races i don't think the swing vote this coalition the anger that
00:20:16.580 everybody's tapping into i don't think it's going to be um as impactful as people think there's a
00:20:20.280 story here that applies to what we're talking about and that was that uh thune came out and
00:20:26.060 he made a tweet and he posted that republicans have spent the last two years delivering more
00:20:31.640 money into your pocket and delivering safer streets and more opportunities to get ahead
00:20:38.920 and his tweet got fact-checked into oblivion uh the comment was that the 119th congress
00:20:47.980 is the least productive in history no congress has ever enacted less legislation or laws
00:20:56.760 Johnson has canceled 63 scheduled votes.
00:21:00.080 No, because Trump needs them to pass his executive orders.
00:21:04.460 He's scheduled 63 voting days in the House.
00:21:06.480 You should not judge a Congress by the number of new laws that it passes.
00:21:10.200 That is not the standard by which you should judge effectiveness.
00:21:12.920 We have to protect what President Trump has done, and they haven't.
00:21:16.380 They haven't.
00:21:17.020 Listen, the House has passed 291 bills this year, and the Senate has only passed 20 of them.
00:21:27.360 20!
00:21:29.060 This is insane.
00:21:30.300 And they want us to go back and vote for them again.
00:21:32.740 We have to.
00:21:33.840 Make that clear.
00:21:34.800 We have to, because the alternative is communist Democrats.
00:21:38.820 There's no other choice.
00:21:39.820 And so I think rather than let the Republicans, the whiny, weak Republicans, get away with not doing anything
00:21:45.800 and then going into the minority this next term and just being like, well, we can't do anything 0.99
00:21:50.400 now because those darn Democrats have got all the power. No, we need to put the Republicans 0.99
00:21:55.200 back in power, again, bully them into doing what's right. We can't let them slip out and
00:22:00.960 slide away like they want to. I'm so excited when we get our Merriweather Farm shipments in.
00:22:06.420 You get a beautiful piece of ribeye. Look at that marbling. Now, I take it out of the package,
00:22:11.400 let it get down to room temperature all i've got on here is a little salt a little pepper
00:22:15.920 and then a little avocado oil and then i've had my pan preheating with a little oil
00:22:20.500 head to merriweatherfarms.com and enter promo code matt g for 15 off your first order
00:22:32.880 i love by the way that is that ought to be the compelling message
00:22:39.420 is that it's time to elect your Republican congressman
00:22:42.360 and then beat him into better compliance and better behavior.
00:22:46.080 But I wonder if it's getting through.
00:22:48.740 And that's where we're going to go to the prediction markets.
00:22:50.740 Get up the polymarket latest odds.
00:22:54.700 Ninety-one percent chance that the Democrats take the house.
00:22:59.100 It's an all-time high for Democrats' prospects.
00:23:02.140 Ninety-one percent on poly—oh, I'm sorry, 93?
00:23:06.440 Ninety-three percent.
00:23:07.680 It even went up since I wrote my notes for the show.
00:23:10.040 Ninety three percent for Democrats to win the House of Representatives.
00:23:14.800 And that is terrifying news when you consider what they're going to do to the country.
00:23:19.100 But it's great news if you're David Pollack and you have found the wager of a century,
00:23:26.180 because we found these tweets from David Pollack.
00:23:29.900 Go ahead and throw them up there.
00:23:31.300 Republicans are actually doing better than you think.
00:23:33.700 We have a real shot at keeping the House.
00:23:36.680 Another post from David Pollack, once we win the midterms, everything will get better, plus we get 5K.
00:23:44.080 So my question is this, with Polymarget at 93% and with you repeatedly posting that Republicans are going to win,
00:23:53.420 have you mortgaged your house, taken out your kids' college money, and put it all on the Republican victory that you expect? 0.50
00:24:02.420 Because you would like 10x your money, David.
00:24:04.580 Well, look, in light of just preventing any possible SEC violations because I'm on television, I don't bet on things that I could potentially help towards an outcome.
00:24:19.020 So, no, I'm not actually betting in this because I'm on TV and I give opinion.
00:24:23.180 That being said, my opinion is based on this.
00:24:26.520 And I've said it a moment ago.
00:24:28.480 I think congressional races are more local races.
00:24:31.780 And I think in those races that we're supposed to win, I don't see us losing races that we're supposed to win.
00:24:39.700 Now, maybe those toss-ups, they get a little competitive.
00:24:42.500 But I don't think at a congressional level, Democrats are strong on messaging.
00:24:46.620 I think Democrats are winning on national messaging, which affects Senate and President more than I think it affects the House.
00:24:51.520 And judging by local data and turnout during the primaries—
00:24:56.160 But you think we're going to win the House, right?
00:24:58.200 I think we have a better chance of—
00:24:59.340 You think we're going to win the House?
00:25:00.300 I think we have a better chance of keeping it than people think.
00:25:03.600 I don't think it's 93.
00:25:04.900 I don't think it's 93.8.
00:25:06.360 I think it's maybe 70, 30, 60, 40.
00:25:09.620 I don't think it's that big.
00:25:10.740 David, the Democrat messaging is at the—
00:25:12.380 That's a huge arbitrage.
00:25:13.580 Their messaging is every time you go to the gas station.
00:25:16.840 That's their messaging right now.
00:25:18.100 Yeah, but no, that's not their messaging.
00:25:19.120 That's our messaging.
00:25:20.060 Yeah, but that's what people see.
00:25:21.440 No, but that's our messaging.
00:25:22.860 They don't have to do anything to get that benefit. 0.97
00:25:24.980 No, Democrats are even avoiding that.
00:25:26.700 Democrats—this is the thing.
00:25:28.480 Let me back up because this is a very important point.
00:25:31.960 Democrats have abandoned the fuel price argument.
00:25:35.900 They're leaving it to us to destroy ourselves on the fuel price argument.
00:25:40.920 And they're doubling down on abortion and immigration at this point.
00:25:45.560 You don't even see the Democrat accounts talking about fuel prices.
00:25:48.720 You see the former MAGA accounts talking about gas prices.
00:25:53.120 But this is why I think, and this goes to what Matt said before,
00:25:56.340 If the Republican Party is the MAGA Party, and if you're talking about an election between a Democrat and a Republican, and if everybody, all the people that are disaffected Trump supporters that are saying, I'm not voting for Trump, will they vote Democrat or will they not vote at all?
00:26:10.460 And this is the great calculus. Are people that are disappointed in gas prices going to vote Democrat or are they not going to vote?
00:26:16.760 Because if turnout is a measure and Republican base is motivated and they're worried about Democratic socialism and they're willing to pay higher prices because they think Trump's doing a good job and the swing voters don't show up because they don't like their choices, Republicans have a good chance of winning.
00:26:31.640 So I think these polymarket odds, and let me tell you what polymarket is.
00:26:35.200 It's a prediction market based on feelings.
00:26:37.460 People bet their feelings based on what they think is going to happen.
00:26:40.760 And I have a new phrase that I've been coining.
00:26:42.460 It's not, you ever heard, facts don't care about your feelings?
00:26:45.160 In the age of polymarket, feelings don't care about your facts because people vote and bet based on how they feel.
00:26:53.040 And those prediction markets can actually motivate people to show up and follow through and close on how they feel,
00:27:00.180 which is why messaging is more important now than ever before
00:27:03.120 because we're not relying purely on science, we're relying on feelings.
00:27:06.200 And I do agree with you, Pearson, we are losing the feelings war,
00:27:08.800 which is why I'm putting up tweets like this, posts like this,
00:27:11.400 because I want my followers, I want our audience, to see that all hope isn't lost.
00:27:17.200 Trust your feelings, show up at the polls, know that President Trump is doing a good job,
00:27:21.600 knowing that the alternative is much worse, and you know what? 0.98
00:27:24.340 It sucks a little bit, but it's going to suck way worse.
00:27:26.720 And that's why I put out posts like that. 0.98
00:27:28.100 That's not a great brand for the Republican Party, but that is a good message for them. 0.97
00:27:31.500 It sucks right now, but it could suck a lot worse. 0.99
00:27:33.740 That's it. 0.99
00:27:34.140 That's the message.
00:27:35.760 The Cook Political Report.
00:27:36.960 David, let me ask you this question.
00:27:38.540 Yeah.
00:27:39.640 Oh, I'm sorry.
00:27:40.260 Go right ahead, Pearson.
00:27:40.940 Go right ahead, Pearson.
00:27:41.660 The Cook Political Report, to your point, Matt, six weeks left until the midterm elections,
00:27:47.100 15 key House races just shifted to Democrats.
00:27:51.540 15. 0.89
00:27:52.940 They only need three.
00:27:55.480 15 just shifted.
00:27:56.500 And we're losing North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Matt.
00:28:03.300 We're losing Florida, Kansas.
00:28:05.820 These are races that we should not be losing.
00:28:07.940 What races in Florida are they suggesting we're losing?
00:28:11.340 It doesn't say.
00:28:12.980 Florida 27 likely are.
00:28:15.420 I don't have the full.
00:28:16.980 No, but this is my issue, though.
00:28:18.400 And what you're saying is the narrative that's all over social media,
00:28:21.280 it's all in the news, is that all these races are so tight.
00:28:23.960 What races are tight?
00:28:24.960 Because I want to know because I'm not seeing. I'll tell you, David. I'll tell you. Look, look, Florida is an R plus 10 state. Right. It performed better than that under Trump and DeSantis. But it's basically an R10. And we're in a D8 environment. And so statewide campaigns like Ashley Moody and Byron Donalds, they're not losing. They're still winning. But we're used to seeing like an R10 environment. Then you get a six point DeSantis boost.
00:28:51.960 you know, boost, now all of a sudden you're winning by 14, 15, 16 points, as opposed to
00:28:56.680 now saying, oh gosh, we might win by three or four or five points. I'm old enough to
00:29:00.440 remember when a three-point victory in Florida was a landslide. And so we'll take it in this
00:29:05.140 environment. But you know which one's on the list that I worry about? Kansas. I've got
00:29:11.040 friends in Kansas who've always told me, this is not as red a state as you think it is.
00:29:15.780 Those that's a very suburbanized state. A lot of the family farms that made up the political backbone there are gone. You've got the huge influx of the green energy distortions in the market, causing all kind of of of reshaping of that economy and that political ecosystem as well.
00:29:36.320 And Roger Marshall is down in every poll I have seen.
00:29:42.480 He is the Republican senator from Kansas.
00:29:45.220 He is awesome.
00:29:46.400 I love Roger Marshall.
00:29:47.700 I think he is fantastic in the Senate.
00:29:51.540 But I'm worried about him.
00:29:53.620 And in Kansas, we haven't had to go and do the build-out of door-to-door and volunteer
00:29:59.960 recruitment and all the things we've done in places like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia.
00:30:05.260 And so we've got to get it going in places we didn't think we were going to have to get it going in previously.
00:30:11.560 I mean, David, did you even think three weeks ago, four weeks ago, that Republicans would be in a dogfight in Kansas?
00:30:20.320 Yeah. I mean, this is what we should expect.
00:30:22.760 It's historically in every single midterm election after after there's a shift at the presidential level, there is a change of power in Congress.
00:30:31.480 Historically, it's almost happened every single time.
00:30:33.200 We should have been prepared for this.
00:30:35.100 We should expect this.
00:30:36.480 This is why we always expect these red waves and they turn into blue trickles because we go, oh, we're going to win this easy.
00:30:44.180 Why haven't we had people on the ground?
00:30:45.840 Why aren't we putting resources into the races that we're supposed to win?
00:30:48.640 And then at the last minute going, oh, well, maybe we should have invested in this sooner.
00:30:51.820 This is a Republican ground game problem and it happens every single election cycle.
00:30:56.100 What we have is we've fallen back on our heels when Trump is on the ballot because people are so motivated to vote for him.
00:31:01.700 Regardless of what people say, Trump is still in charge.
00:31:04.340 people still love Trump. People still vote for Trump. Trump isn't on the ballot. So how do you
00:31:08.780 get Republicans to show up? You have to fight like we were doing when we wanted President Trump to
00:31:13.380 win. And we never do that when Trump's not at the top of the ballot. And that is why I'm not
00:31:17.940 surprised by this. It should be the ground game we have. We should always play to win, regardless of
00:31:22.380 how far ahead we think we are. We need to be Florida Gators under Steve Spurrier, 70 points
00:31:27.580 against a team we invited to play us. That's how we should be playing. We shouldn't be sitting back
00:31:31.580 and putting in our backups when the country is at stake.
00:31:33.900 I don't know what that means,
00:31:35.020 but Trump's polling numbers have gone from 83%
00:31:37.800 with Republicans down to 71% from the start of the year,
00:31:41.560 just from the start of the year.
00:31:42.540 In Iowa, and this is comparable to Kansas,
00:31:48.420 Iowa Republicans were told that Republican districts
00:31:50.520 that were previously held by over 15 points,
00:31:53.980 our 15, are now within the margin of error.
00:31:57.400 And our 10 districts are completely underwater.
00:32:00.680 so yeah this is significant and we can't just brush it off and say well you know we're gonna
00:32:06.180 be fine this is this is just how it goes okay well because this is and this is republicans
00:32:10.480 have done this to ourselves well pearson what about ohio i know there's a part of your heart
00:32:14.840 that never leaves the buckeye state but when i was reviewing the information there uh the
00:32:20.260 ramaswamy campaign seems to have lost its footing with some of these voters we've been talking about
00:32:26.060 for a good part of the episode, young, white, disaffected males who were voting for President
00:32:31.000 Trump in mass. I don't know that they're there for Vivek Ramaswamy. And then you've got Sherrod
00:32:36.820 Brown, a political institution in Ohio running against an appointed incumbent senator who no
00:32:43.100 one's heard of. Pearson, what do you make of a political environment where two big statewide
00:32:50.000 races in Ohio could go blue. So Ramaswamy could have some steam on his side because he's pushing
00:32:57.520 to get the gas tax dropped in Ohio. And it looks like that might actually pass. And he's making
00:33:02.220 that one of his big things that he's talking about. So if that goes through, that'll be
00:33:06.080 strongly associated with him. Ohio's Congress came back into session just to review that bill
00:33:11.320 to drop the gas tax. So that could be huge. That could be awesome. But he's also been really soft
00:33:16.980 on h1b and that's something that affects a lot of people in ohio and a lot of people don't like that
00:33:21.400 so i don't he's not he's not trump he's not a a trump-esque republican and you know my hometown
00:33:29.300 where i came from we were 95 red 95 republican you know white christian homebred hometown america
00:33:37.360 that's where it's at and i don't see them voting for someone like ramaswamy who
00:33:41.720 kind of has a mixed a mixed history so i don't know i sherrod brown yeah you know he would take
00:33:48.500 us into the dirt so we've got it we've again it's down to that we don't have great choices you know
00:33:52.940 we've got ramaswamy or sherrod brown that's not that's not ideal i don't know what we do we need
00:33:57.640 vance back in ohio honestly get him in charge yeah no well vance had the coalition right he
00:34:05.380 brought together a lot of those rural voters, a lot of white voters, and then he didn't get
00:34:11.400 crushed in places like Butler County, Cincinnati, and in Cleveland. He was able to use some of the
00:34:18.140 buoyancy that President Trump built with a multiracial, multigenerational coalition.
00:34:24.300 Now, again, it's Ramaswamy running against Amy Acton for the governor's race, Sherrod Brown
00:34:28.900 against Senator Husted. We'll have to keep our eye on that one. But you've both been keeping
00:34:33.740 your eye on what is going on over the fence line with the Democrats. And whenever we need
00:34:39.140 a unifying, horrific moment from the Democratic Party to bring us together,
00:34:43.960 we can always count on one person, Hillary Clinton. Hillary is now attacking Christians 1.00
00:34:50.000 with her latest discourse. Take a listen. The idea that you could turn the clock back 0.95
00:34:56.180 and try to recreate a world that never was dominated by, you know, let's say it, 0.66
00:35:03.300 white men of a certain persuasion, a certain religion, a certain point of view,
00:35:08.380 a certain ideology, is just doing such damage to what we should be aiming for. 0.74
00:35:16.940 I'm sorry, was that Hillary Clinton or was that Sarah Henry Sanders?
00:35:19.780 David Pollock.
00:35:22.200 Ooh, ooh.
00:35:24.820 It's hard to tell the difference at this point.
00:35:27.000 That one's going to leave a mark.
00:35:27.760 What Pearson just said is the perfect illustration of why we're not seeing the numbers that we'd like to see as a Republican Party is, and I get it, for the longest time we had an enemy.
00:35:42.580 We had a government that was weaponized against the president, weaponized against everybody in his orbit, weaponized against the American people, weaponized against our free speech.
00:35:50.440 We had a government that leading into 2024, America felt like we were going to lose this country if President Trump weren't to be elected.
00:35:59.140 Nothing has changed.
00:36:00.900 And that is the thing.
00:36:02.240 I mean, yes, President Trump has won the election and a lot of his policies are being implemented, largely through executive order from what Pearson described because of congressional inaction.
00:36:11.520 Nothing's changed. 0.96
00:36:13.000 The left still hates Christian white people. 1.00
00:36:15.960 The left hates Christianity. 0.99
00:36:17.400 The left wants to control what your kids do. 0.80
00:36:19.060 The left loves abortion.
00:36:20.040 As a matter of fact, the left loves abortion so much, it's not only late-term abortion anymore.
00:36:24.420 Now, they want you to be able to murder your children if you have too much medication and that to be okay.
00:36:29.580 I mean, that's where we're going, and that is the radical left.
00:36:32.740 They excuse murder.
00:36:34.780 They excuse violence.
00:36:36.440 I mean—
00:36:37.140 They're satanic. 0.74
00:36:38.100 Okay, so the left hasn't changed their stripes.
00:36:42.080 So while we're sitting here taking for granted all the opportunity that we have—
00:36:47.260 And Pearson, I mean no disrespect by this, but when you see Hillary Clinton, you're like, well, they're Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
00:36:52.000 What we need to say is this is why we show up in November, and this is why I'm so adamant about this, is because we have things to fix.
00:36:59.340 We do.
00:37:00.460 But right now is not the time for us to be shooting at each other.
00:37:05.640 We need to be firing 100% at them because that is who we're running against.
00:37:09.580 That's my point, Sarah.
00:37:10.260 You need to be firing 100% at them, not at us. 0.99
00:37:12.440 Yeah, but it's not our job to call her out. 1.00
00:37:14.580 This is when you give her a pass.
00:37:15.580 Because you're losing the people that she's attacking.
00:37:17.860 No, what you're doing is you're giving the left yet another tool to come at us with.
00:37:22.100 White Republican men are dropping out of the Republican Party.
00:37:23.620 That's not, no.
00:37:24.380 Yes, they are.
00:37:25.360 Republican men are being told to be angry about the Sarah Huckabee ad
00:37:28.740 because Republican influencers are telling them to be angry about it.
00:37:31.700 Nobody would have even seen the ads if it wasn't for Republicans pointing it out.
00:37:35.460 We have to stop doing the left's job for them.
00:37:38.080 And we have to keep highlighting people like Hillary Clinton 1.00
00:37:40.660 because that will guarantee our base shows up for us.
00:37:43.780 And this is why I post what I post.
00:37:45.580 matt we have to stop attacking our base david that's the point who's attacking the base
00:37:49.900 did you not see the video the people that she needs to vote for she didn't attack the base 0.99
00:37:54.760 no she put out a she put out a stupid ad that wasn't well thought out but she didn't intend 0.99
00:37:59.320 to attack the base and then we took it upon white republican men are leaving the party no that is 1.00
00:38:03.880 the reason white republican men are leaving the party of that kind of abuse no white republican
00:38:08.160 men are leaving the party because there's a lot of people that are charlie kirk tragically lost
00:38:13.660 his life a year ago. And in the vacuum of Charlie Kirk, a lot of people sought to fill that void
00:38:18.840 and were getting pulled in the Nick Fuentes direction, the James Fishback direction,
00:38:22.860 and all these different directions. And I understand everybody being pulled in one
00:38:26.120 direction or another because everybody is fed up with government, a government that they feel like
00:38:29.460 they have no control over, a government that regardless of who they voted for, always puts
00:38:33.760 them last. People are fed up with that. That's why they love Trump, because Trump gave him an
00:38:37.780 alternative. But the reality is, and this is just the truth, we have to stop following false prophets
00:38:43.360 And remember that while we're fighting each other for what the best direction is for this country, the Democrats have one focus, and that's to put us all in prison, take away our right to talk about it, and then make sure that we're as socialist as we can be and we'll never have the opportunity to vote ourselves out of this again.
00:39:00.920 That's who I'm fighting, not Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
00:39:02.920 Well, let me ask you this question. You tell us not to follow false prophets. But what if the false prophets are the people who tell us they're Republicans who are fighting for us? And then at the first risk that they might be called a racist, demonize Brad.
00:39:21.600 Yeah. But this is the problem with political consultants who think they know everything and they don't actually talk to voters. They talk to their friends who tell people how to think. It's not the it's not Sarah. Does anybody even for a second, Matt Pearson, does anybody for a second question the conservatism of Sarah Huckabee Sanders and thinks she wouldn't be a great Republican governor? No, not even for a second. She put out a dumb ad. None of us are going, oh, that makes me think totally different about her. It makes us think that she had a bad ad campaign.
00:39:50.320 No, yeah. I don't think it's definitional. By the way, I don't think it's definitional. I will think of Sarah Huckabee Sanders as the strong woman behind the podium in the White House briefing room with the intelligence and wit and aptitude to demonstrate inspirational leadership. I love Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I agree it was a dumb ad.
00:40:09.320 I do. Speaking of dumb, we have to get to this Hassan Piker latest move. Hassan Piker has become like the new Bernie Sanders of the Democratic Party. Hassan Piker is the thought leader of the Democratic Party. Where Hassan Piker goes, the Democrat activists and money and candidates follow. He's like a Pied Piper of awful in so many of these representations. But what do we make of this outfit? 0.99
00:40:35.260 I've been running my mouth too much.
00:40:37.060 yeah Pearson yeah so the context behind this is that Piker was traveling in Japan
00:40:46.500 with some other YouTubers and they went to a maid cafe as a comedy streaming bit they actually
00:40:53.360 dressed in the cafe outfits and apparently went through a mock training or job application
00:40:58.580 routine with the staff so that's the context behind it I you'd never catch me dead in that
00:41:06.900 So, I mean.
00:41:08.100 By the way, I totally have my idea for our next OAN group outing.
00:41:12.940 I was thinking Halloween.
00:41:14.180 I was thinking Halloween.
00:41:15.260 It's going to be terrific.
00:41:16.040 Right.
00:41:17.040 Coming right up.
00:41:18.640 Coming right up.
00:41:19.320 Now, speaking of the weirdness that comes out of the left,
00:41:24.260 actress Cameron Manheim made a lot of news when expressing the strong desire she had for a gay son.
00:41:31.740 And then what followed?
00:41:33.060 Take a listen. 0.90
00:41:33.480 I always wanted a gay son. 1.00
00:41:37.640 I have photographs of my son in high heels, in full drag.
00:41:43.040 He knows every word to every musical ever written.
00:41:46.900 His fairy godfather, Aaron Walton, is here with us tonight.
00:41:51.460 I mean, truly, I thought I had this thing locked up.
00:41:56.200 But no, no, he's the only straight guy in his entire musical theater company.
00:42:04.060 What kind of mother doesn't want grandchildren?
00:42:06.200 What a shame. 1.00
00:42:09.160 Ouch.
00:42:10.140 Can I just, I mean, look, go ahead.
00:42:13.100 I mean, Matt, look, this is the left, and you have these clips.
00:42:19.220 This is the Republican messaging.
00:42:21.220 We don't even have to say anything.
00:42:22.860 We just let them do this.
00:42:25.200 I mean, that is the point.
00:42:26.520 These people are the ones that we're like, yeah, let's vote for them because I don't like gas prices.
00:42:32.280 So that is my point. 1.00
00:42:33.600 These people are nuts. 1.00
00:42:34.560 They're never going to change. 1.00
00:42:35.500 They just get worse.
00:42:35.980 And one point on Hassan Piker real quick, because I know he was dressed like a cat in Japan or whatever.
00:42:41.440 That doesn't bother me.
00:42:42.380 He can do whatever he wants to do.
00:42:44.720 Hassan Piker was under fire this week.
00:42:46.740 We covered it on my show because he joked that he thought it was hilarious that two Navy SEALs drowned.
00:42:52.460 Remember in the Red Sea when they were doing that boarding operation to try to stop the Houthis from getting missiles?
00:42:56.200 He thought it was hilarious that two Navy SEALs drowned.
00:42:59.580 Do you know who Hassan Piker is?
00:43:01.620 Hassan Piker is known as the left's Joe Rogan.
00:43:04.160 And do you know who Hassan Piker hangs out with?
00:43:06.220 He was asked to stump for El Saeed.
00:43:08.980 He was hanging out with Zoran Mandami.
00:43:11.080 AOC thinks it's ridiculous that we're putting all this attention on Hassan Piker.
00:43:15.680 This is the left. 0.89
00:43:17.600 They laugh at dead Americans.
00:43:19.480 They mock us on September 11th.
00:43:21.880 They literally hate everything that we're proud of as Americans,
00:43:27.020 which is why right now, you can tell I'm fired up today, Matt,
00:43:29.520 and I've been fired up on my show all week,
00:43:31.000 And I get that people are upset, but this is the most frustrating time I've ever had as a Republican because these are the people that are trying to win elections and people are so upset about gas prices.
00:43:43.360 And I'm not minimizing that. Gas sucks. It's expensive. Putting 100 bucks in your gas tank sucks. 0.98
00:43:48.160 But these people, they're not just trying to win an election. They're trying to fundamentally transform this country. 0.97
00:43:55.240 And the fact that people don't remember just two years ago that the FBI was kicking in doors of school moms for showing up at school board meetings because they didn't want their kids involuntarily vaxxed.
00:44:06.180 The fact that people have forgotten this because they're so upset about gas prices.
00:44:10.020 I'm sorry.
00:44:10.760 I do feel bad about your gas prices.
00:44:12.600 But I'm not willing to give this country over to radical communists who want to put us in jail and destroy it.
00:44:19.700 For me, I'm a single issue voter.
00:44:21.940 And I'm an anti-communist voter.
00:44:23.600 And voting for communists right now with people like Hassan Piker running around and celebrating the death of Americans after 9-11.
00:44:30.640 This is insane.
00:44:32.100 We need to take a step back, stop attacking each other, and we need to take a deep breath, vote Republican up and down the line,
00:44:38.820 and we could start fighting again the day after the election.
00:44:41.480 I'm fine with it.
00:44:42.700 We need a Pez dispenser with some Xanax for you.
00:44:44.760 Pearson, do you think that Pearson Pearson, do you miss the the old, old age of the 2024 election when we got to vote against communism and for lower gas prices at the same time?
00:44:58.240 Yeah. I mean, that was great. We had it. We had it locked down.
00:45:00.960 Wasn't that awesome? We had everything.
00:45:03.080 That was so great because, like, David just makes this really compelling case that it's, like, gas prices or the survival of civilization.
00:45:10.880 And I'm like, yeah, man, I want the survival of civilization.
00:45:14.820 But, like, it was just, like, a few months ago that we could be for lower gas prices and saving civilization.
00:45:22.520 Well, what good are gas?
00:45:23.500 By the way, what good is lowering gas prices if the second Democrats take power?
00:45:28.220 They're going to outlaw your gas vehicle.
00:45:30.240 Then it won't be a problem anymore.
00:45:31.540 I mean, remember they were doing this?
00:45:33.080 They were trying to make your car mandatory, get 50 miles to the gallon, or you weren't going to be able to purchase it. 0.98
00:45:38.220 Those stupid on-off switches that turn your car off at the red lights, that's a Democrat policy, too. 0.95
00:45:43.800 So what good are low gas prices if Democrats don't let you have a gas engine? 1.00
00:45:47.400 Look, I'm not arguing that we don't vote Republican.
00:45:49.620 Fair point.
00:45:50.100 I'm arguing that we vote Republican, but we don't forgive them for screwing us over.
00:45:54.260 No, we never—we don't.
00:45:55.200 We shouldn't forgive them.
00:45:56.340 Hold them accountable.
00:45:56.920 Right now is the time to come together.
00:45:59.180 Now is the time not to hold people—
00:46:00.820 Every single chance I've said, I've had, I've said, we have to vote for these lousy Republicans again, not because they deserve it, but because we're going to be destroyed if we don't.
00:46:10.300 There we go. 0.53
00:46:11.060 But.
00:46:12.160 Yes.
00:46:12.600 Stop.
00:46:12.820 I think Pearson Pearson views the Republican Party like a wild Mustang, but it has to be captured and then it has to be like trained and kind of broken where it has to be functional and rideable and of some value.
00:46:26.820 I mean, we can take that.
00:46:27.980 I don't want to know what you do.
00:46:29.100 I'm not leaving this.
00:46:30.380 i'm i'm sitting that one out okay so final final final thing we got to get to before our hour is up
00:46:37.640 this horrible case out of tennessee the case uh she she uh she drew people into their own death
00:46:46.960 she tortured people uh she was on death row again as the time of this recording we don't know how
00:46:52.240 it's going to end but let's just let's just go right at the core question and it's it's really
00:46:58.440 about whether or not we're a country that believes in executing women, because this is the first
00:47:02.760 woman that Tennessee would have executed, you know, in 200 years, as far as anyone can remember.
00:47:08.800 And so, yeah, so Pearson, is it okay to execute a woman if she does something as horrible as
00:47:16.380 Ms. Pike did? Is that a real question? I mean, that's a setup. Of course it is. Like, there's
00:47:22.460 lots of women that... Some people disagree. If you're a criminal, if you commit a crime 1.00
00:47:27.840 that's that's horrible enough to warrant it absolutely i can think of someone else lindsey 0.88
00:47:32.940 clancy who should be executed right now like if you murder people and let's just for anyone who's 0.82
00:47:38.880 not aware in 1995 krista pike was 18 when knoxville police say she and two teenage accomplices worked 0.94
00:47:45.700 together to torture slash and fatally beat colleen slimmer who was 19 police say pike and the others
00:47:52.820 lured Slimmer, a classmate, in their jobs core training program to an abandoned steam plant
00:47:57.980 at the nearby university and attacked her. Pike doesn't dispute her role in any of this,
00:48:05.620 but, you know, and here we have the Lindsay Clancy knock-on effect, the details about her
00:48:12.380 upbringing marked by years of sexual and physical abuse and neglect were not shared with the jury
00:48:18.520 that sentenced her to death and her lawyers believe that such evidence of abuse if it were
00:48:24.540 presented now would change her death sentence we should be more lenient with her because she had a
00:48:29.620 a hard childhood never mind that she tortured and murdered someone brutally and kept a piece
00:48:33.960 of that girl's skull as a souvenir no she had a hard childhood we just we can't do that to these
00:48:39.360 people fryer fryer hard right now and lindsey clancy and all the rest of them everyone who 0.99
00:48:44.940 deserves it i'll pull the switch myself these people deserve death for what they did period 0.97
00:48:49.800 david pollack final words on chris the bike uh yes it was a you know i found first found out 0.97
00:48:56.860 about this story and this is how fake the fake news is i first found out about this story because
00:49:00.920 i was scrolling my twitter feed and i see this story about this girl she was 18 she had her hair
00:49:05.800 up and a little scrunchie and it said woman who committed a murder 30 years ago who's now 50 is
00:49:12.500 now set to be the first woman executed in Tennessee in 200 years, despite her history
00:49:16.600 of mental health problems and sexual abuse or whatever. I'm like, oh, this sounds awful. 0.53
00:49:20.500 I need to look into this. And then I looked into it. I'm like, oh, no, she did
00:49:24.460 exactly what Pearson described, like tortured a woman. Do you know her cause of death, her
00:49:28.420 victim's cause of death? Blunt force trauma. Not the dozens
00:49:32.440 of stab wounds. The medical examiner said she was still alive. She had
00:49:36.500 blood in her nasal passage because she was struggling. She was
00:49:40.320 Breathing in the blood until they beat her to death with an asphalt chunk crushing her skull.
00:49:47.160 This is the most heinous murder.
00:49:48.460 The death penalty was invented for just this type of situation.
00:49:52.420 The fact that I had to go and research it to find out what kind of a monster this was tells you what's wrong with the fake news.
00:49:57.500 And the only picture you see on social media today is the picture of this woman, not her victim, which tells you the problem.
00:50:03.200 But I'll say this.
00:50:04.140 The Supreme Court, they lifted the stay.
00:50:06.260 She's cleared to be executed as of the time of this taping.
00:50:08.600 The death order, I think it has to be carried out before we're done taping.
00:50:14.020 I mean, for the end of the day that we taped the show, we'll see. 0.99
00:50:16.660 But she will be executed.
00:50:17.800 There's no more appeals. 0.64
00:50:18.780 There's no more stays.
00:50:19.920 And I think that's justice.
00:50:21.300 Now, real quick, for the people who said, how can you be conservative, fight for life, and yet you don't value all life because this is a life.
00:50:27.940 Conservatives value innocent life.
00:50:30.280 We value the life of the innocent.
00:50:31.680 The Bible commands that if you take the blood of a man that is in Genesis, then you shall have shed your blood as well.
00:50:39.220 This is what the Bible dictates, the death penalty.
00:50:42.100 It is not anti-religious or anti-conservative or anti-Christian to advocate for death.
00:50:46.020 However, it is demonic, as they're doing in the Netherlands now, to allow, and this just happened, a two-year-old was euthanized because it had mental and physical disability.
00:50:55.840 Up to 12 now in the Netherlands, you can euthanize a child.
00:50:58.940 Lindsay Clancy walks three.
00:51:00.280 We have a serious morality problem. Putting this woman to death is not a moral issue. It's a biblical one. It's a just one. 1.00
00:51:08.200 It is a moral issue.
00:51:08.760 Well, it is the opposite of moral. We have a God problem in this country.
00:51:12.160 And this is just another example of the fact that they have pity for this woman and not her victim.
00:51:19.000 I don't care if it is a man or a woman. If you identify as a heinous killer, you deserve capital punishment and it would be just in this matter.
00:51:28.800 But that is the end of our hour.
