00:00:00.000 now it's time for the anchorman podcast with matt gates and dan ball
00:00:08.640 welcome back to the anchorman show i'm matt gates host of the matt gates show every night here on
00:00:14.400 one america news nine o'clock eastern six pacific and this is our platform where maybe we don't have
00:00:19.980 to dwell on everything in the headlines we can take a little time to talk about the state of
00:00:25.160 the human experience and i'm going to bring in our guest in just a moment but i wanted to take
00:00:28.980 a time to say how special uh these weeks have been here at one america news our ability to extend
00:00:36.420 our viewership to the youtube tv audience has been something that we've taken great pride in
00:00:42.520 we want to bring outstanding analysis and journalism to the tens of millions of people who consume one
00:00:48.940 american news and the best is indeed yet to come more and more folks are going to be adding our
00:00:53.900 our channel seeing our programs and we think that is going to invigorate the discussion happening in
00:00:59.540 this country as free speech finally gets vindicated we went through so much censorship and so much
00:01:05.600 divisiveness where people didn't even want to listen to each other we think it's great that
00:01:11.220 platforms from youtube to charter spectrum to dish to sling say hey one america news you've got a lot
00:01:19.100 of information that could add value to our subscribers and it's great to be a part of those outstanding
00:01:24.320 communities now today we are going to have our very first pastor on the program my man jlp jesse lee
00:01:31.980 peterson has come to san diego from la and uh we have so many fans of yours here in the building i
00:01:38.420 didn't realize this but when folks found out that you were going to be here at the mothership at oan
00:01:43.840 it had an electricity throughout the building for the whole day and so maybe for those who aren't
00:01:49.060 familiar with you could you take a little time and talk about your fellowship and what you do for
00:01:53.320 people and and how you're bringing folks together amazing it is i gotta tell you it's amazing be
00:01:58.820 to be here with you i've i've respected you and admired you for a long time and uh so i'm glad to be
00:02:05.060 here but what we're doing is for the last 35 years now we have been rebuilding the family by
00:02:11.900 rebuilding the man and what we're doing is bringing back the order of god god in christ christ is man
00:02:20.120 man of a woman woman over children and in that order it works especially if the guys want to get
00:02:26.260 married have a family and so we have been rebuilding the family by rebuilding the man and at the time when
00:02:33.500 i started out 35 years ago it was pretty much geared toward black men because they were not in the home
00:02:40.640 with their families whereas when i was growing up we had family and i grew up in alabama on a
00:02:45.560 plantation down in alabama and my grandparents were raised there my their parents and their parents
00:02:51.540 and we had family and things were amazing really amazing right so we're trying to restore the family
00:02:59.220 by restoring the man it's open now to everyone around the world anyone can be a part of it because
00:03:05.700 the principles that we talk about are principles from god and they apply to all human beings all
00:03:12.860 mankind and we have an entrepreneur program where we're teaching men how to start businesses
00:03:17.860 how to uh if they already have a business we show them how to enhance it and a lot of these guys don't
00:03:24.980 have good credit so i started a credit union so that we can loan them the money they pay back with
00:03:32.760 small interests to keep their business going and the credit union going uh we have women men's form
00:03:39.380 every third there's uh first thursday night of the month and then for ladies the uh third thursday night
00:03:47.820 of the month excuse me and then sunday morning fellowship for all and we tutor we counsel just doing the
00:03:55.920 whole thing and all we were really doing is just pointing people back to god pointing them showing
00:04:02.320 them how to overcome anger because if they don't overcome the anger they would never know god because
00:04:09.180 anger separate you from god and so that's why god said in order to uh enter into the kingdom of heaven
00:04:17.260 within and have perfect peace you must go and forgive so the primary thing is to encourage them to go and
00:04:26.520 forgive the mothers for the mistakes she made with them turning them away from their fathers
00:04:32.280 the boys and the girls we open up to men and women now all people well yeah no i that's a fascinating
00:04:39.600 mission and i have a lot i want to discuss about about anger with you uh and i may take a bit of a
00:04:45.480 different perspective but when you talk about rebuilding the family through the rebuilding of
00:04:52.040 men right i want to get into why you think that's necessary what happened where the american man needed
00:04:59.020 rebuilding when did we lose it when when they were able to uh uh turn the men away from his family
00:05:08.980 when they tried when they who's they the well in the black community it started with the so-called
00:05:15.540 civil rights movement the worst thing other than abortion the worst thing that ever happened to the blacks
00:05:22.820 is uh was the civil rights movement the civil rights movement destroyed the family of black americans
00:05:30.500 by telling them that uh uh they needed leaders because prior to the civil rights movement blacks didn't have
00:05:38.820 leaders they thought for themselves they did for themselves they treated all people the way that
00:05:44.800 they would like to be treated we were taught that way well wait wait in the 70s and 80s we saw black
00:05:50.980 entrepreneurship explode uh we saw a lot of you know black communities i mean i i think about even in
00:05:58.460 in north florida places like french town out you know outside of tallahassee where there was uh innovation
00:06:04.140 there was investment um and when you say the civil rights movement was this great scourge on the black
00:06:10.060 community i think some might observe that and say well at least the civil rights movement kind of
00:06:15.660 presented this notion that it's it's uh people's immutable traits that we should not judge them by we
00:06:21.760 should judge people based on the choices they make not the things they can't change about themselves
00:06:26.480 they said that but that's not what they meant okay because that but don't you think that's an
00:06:31.860 enduring value now we're almost going the other way now yeah but if people were to live that way
00:06:36.500 it works is absolutely right but the civil rights movement also told black people they couldn't make
00:06:41.680 it because of the white man they couldn't make him because they were being discriminated against
00:06:46.380 they cannot make him because they were black and so a lot of blacks fell for that and they started
00:06:53.040 to believe that somebody was holding them down and that they need leaders to guide them they needed
00:06:59.900 marlton king jr they needed justin jackson they needed black leadership and so they fell for that
00:07:07.940 lie and when they fell do you put marcus garvey in that in that category yeah marcus garvey i don't know
00:07:15.020 a lot about him yeah he had a name yeah he had the the league man they everybody wore those those fancy uh
00:07:22.820 outfits and yeah uh what the point is though they at that time too most blacks were republicans
00:07:29.540 and uh they sold the blacks to the democratic party by telling them we're going to give you welfare we're
00:07:36.820 going to take care of you you don't need a man in the home you you you we're going to take care of you
00:07:42.440 but you got to become democrat you got to become this and they destroyed the black family the the whole
00:07:48.580 civil rights movement was a it's about socialism it was not about making people free it was by
00:07:56.080 bringing them together as groups to control them first get them angry by telling them the white man
00:08:02.680 holding them back and then using them for personal gain jackson and all those guys wanted to be leaders
00:08:10.420 and they needed somebody to leave so they brainwashed the blacks and not all not all not all but most
00:08:16.000 they brainwashed the blacks and put them in a group caused them to think alike and they got rid of
00:08:21.780 the fathers so as part of your downhill is your part as part of your ministry then a reprogramming of
00:08:26.840 what you view as as the mistakes of the civil rights movement no my thing is to get people to wake up
00:08:32.760 and start thinking for themselves to be an individual and then when you become an individual
00:08:38.480 one with what's right when you become whole instead of divided you can deal with the world anyone
00:08:44.600 perfectly but you got to become a whole person men and women you must become a whole person not a
00:08:51.480 divided person and and so we're encouraging people to do that by dropping the anger you have just
00:08:59.100 concluded men's month and you you you uh tell tell my viewers what men's month was and what some of the
00:09:08.000 the best things to come out of it were um number one is that men got to become men again and when they
00:09:15.060 become men is really to get to know themselves they don't know themselves anymore uh unlike it was when
00:09:22.620 i was growing up they don't know themselves so we how'd you get to know yourself uh because when i was
00:09:29.380 growing up i was taught to be an individual and to treat everybody the way i would like to be treated
00:09:36.400 but i was taught to work hard uh matter of fact growing up i was taught from day one to be
00:09:44.500 to work to help around the house and that's how we were so being useful yeah making yourself useful
00:09:50.580 and that's all i know by the way just i think about a lot a lot of these folks today who who need a
00:09:55.680 little bit of that yes you know if they would just if they would just uh be a little less
00:09:59.680 self-pitiful and self-indulging and made themselves useful it would it would help the mind it would
00:10:06.720 help the spirit it would help the determination we were taught to be that way growing up yeah i remember
00:10:11.140 uh my grandmother always tell me okay we teach you go to work we'll show you how to take care of
00:10:16.740 yourself and at age at uh 18 you're out of here you leave it here at 18 and i'm like where am i going
00:10:24.840 i'm down in alabama on a plantation she's telling me i'm leaving my grandfather too well you got to
00:10:30.400 well now but i want to get back to me happened at 18 yeah i turned 18 i finished high school and i
00:10:36.980 left home went to indiana got a job there moved to california been here ever since at 18 and i never
00:10:44.140 looked back because i was made to be independent growing up i knew what do you think about these
00:10:49.100 young men who are 26 27 years old at home living with their parents and by the way they don't even want
00:10:53.880 to get out they have been spoiled by their parents and sometimes just a mother because their fathers
00:11:00.140 are there they have not been taught to be independent thinkers and work and take care of
00:11:05.220 themselves but see i didn't think that was something you had to teach i thought just like
00:11:08.880 you don't really have to teach the bird to want to get out of the nest it's instinct that when the baby
00:11:13.840 bird can flap its wings it knows to leave the nest and for me it was just maybe it was the
00:11:19.460 testosterone pumping through my blood maybe it was wanting to you know get get my own uh life going
00:11:25.020 but i couldn't wait to get off to somewhere or something or someone and i look at a lot of young
00:11:31.820 men now who are like look my parents they put a roof over my head they pay my bills mom makes my
00:11:38.260 favorite food does my laundry uh you know dad kind of likes seeing me so i'm going to stay here and
00:11:43.760 they don't have really a plan that's the problem though if you're not that example we had that
00:11:48.560 example our parents were the example of that well my parents said you're just out of the house during
00:11:53.940 during the day i mean you know my parents growing up you know in the 80s it was like you come home
00:11:59.400 when the street lights come on that's when you need to be at the house but until then you need to be
00:12:03.720 out running around on bikes making friends that's not the case now isn't that sad it is it's pitiful
00:12:10.180 and that's why we have can we ever get back to it you think or is that do we just look at that with
00:12:14.580 only nostalgia um no we'll never get back to that some men will but it won't for the most part because
00:12:23.040 of community degradation because uh there's too much angry anger and they're not self-reliant they
00:12:32.180 they don't know how to do it and then they'll be spoiled now by government everything well give me
00:12:37.800 the good news of men's month tell me the good thing that happened so the men's month we had
00:12:41.880 men who are buying their own property because we encourage guys to buy homes but um and ladies now
00:12:48.520 too but for the men did you get their own property you should own a piece of land that goes back to
00:12:53.800 the caveman yeah i mean cave came before man i mean if you wanted to attract the cave woman i'm guessing
00:13:00.580 you needed a cave where they were safe secure felt like they weren't going to be attacked by
00:13:05.600 buy some sort of line we i can't um i mean i don't even know how you
00:13:10.500 live as a man and not buy a piece of property for yourself you can't go wrong with buying a piece
00:13:18.460 of property even if you have to buy a small piece where you don't want to live but you can build it
00:13:22.840 up and and because there's so much you can do with land you can refi and buy a new home or you can move
00:13:30.440 from one place to another one you can rent it out you can't go wrong with land so we were taught
00:13:35.580 that it's it's also how the baby boomer generation built most of its wealth absolutely was through
00:13:41.040 land absolutely so you're not you're not suggesting some novel new idea this is a tried and true
00:13:46.020 nothing is new it's been around forever i'm just telling them about something that's already been
00:13:52.400 around okay and remind them of i bought my first house at 25 years old because i was told at 25
00:13:59.600 you should already have a job having and they didn't say you had to go to college they said have a job
00:14:04.900 and take care of yourself and if you want to get married you know get your house first and then get
00:14:10.800 married because the man should move it bring your wife into his home and not go into hers you know but
00:14:16.240 you haven't been married and so well not married i've been engaged twice but not the same thing
00:14:22.100 no having done both having been both married and engaged i have a son i do i got a new i got a new
00:14:27.940 little homie on the way i do too oh that's great congratulations thank you you as well man it's great
00:14:33.480 to uh it's great to be able to pass on your genetics it's a it's a wonderful thing but now you've got the
00:14:38.720 men's month you concluded but i also understand you talked about this women's forum so i want to i want
00:14:43.680 to hear the other side of the coin too maybe take my viewers what what happens at women's forum
00:14:48.480 who leads it and what is the message that women will get there in your fellowship and we also had
00:14:53.460 a sunday morning fellowship for all yeah every sunday morning but in the fellowship with the ladies
00:14:58.540 we don't record anything we you're not allowed to video anything you're not allowed to call each
00:15:05.200 other up after the meeting oh i didn't know this you know gossiping about it and stuff like that
00:15:10.460 but we do gossiping is is is prohibited right and you believe there's high compliance with your
00:15:16.020 no gossiping absolutely otherwise they can't if we ever find out they did they cannot be a part of
00:15:22.180 the meeting because those meetings so why is that important tell me why it's important because a lot
00:15:26.880 of people don't know how to handle gossiping they don't they're not ready for it yet and so plus
00:15:33.340 who comes is it is it who teaches it who leads it yeah i do so it's you i teach the men's form and
00:15:39.740 the ladies okay how many ladies come well it's all the various uh we get anywhere between 20 and 30
00:15:48.200 or even more depending on what's going on because it's you alone in a room with 20 30 women and
00:15:53.960 afterwards no one's allowed to talk about it that's right all right i don't want you to break the rule
00:15:58.920 so i don't want to ask too many questions i wouldn't talk about what we say i'm just saying
00:16:02.640 we we deal with well maybe tell me what it teaches you about women today being be i mean because a lot
00:16:08.200 of men don't have that experience being in a room with 20 women once a week so you probably have
00:16:13.800 learned some interesting things and got some real interesting insights about that they have the same
00:16:18.320 issues that men have they got to overcome the anger they're few it's a can we call anyone that has
00:16:25.020 anger don't have perfect peace and we don't have perfect peace you feel insecure you feel shy
00:16:31.580 you worry you have doubt you have fear you have anxiety you uh don't really you live in your
00:16:41.640 imagination wait a second we all know that all thoughts are all lies all the time right everything
00:16:47.820 you just said i have you do i just thought that was the human existence no a little bit of anxiety
00:16:53.340 a little bit of fear a little bit of worry a little bit of concern that sounds like a tuesday for me
00:16:57.720 that's torture really that's hell well see all right let me push back on this you're not created to have
00:17:04.620 that all right well i sometimes worry that there are even more people out there on the planet earth
00:17:12.080 deserving of my anger and my wrath than i am able to deploy see see i find anger to be an intense
00:17:19.720 motivator no sometimes when i when i sense injustice it makes me very angry and it it can focus and
00:17:27.160 sharpen my mind sometimes my mind can wander like any person to this thing or that thing but when i'm
00:17:33.120 truly angry when i'm aggrieved by something when i say this is wrong it's supposed to be dealt with
00:17:38.300 that is when i feel like i can achieve a level of proficiency that in the absence of anger i might not be
00:17:45.760 able to tap into no you're wrong an angry person is an insecure person an angry person has fear an
00:17:54.380 angry person uh uh don't it's not a free person they're enslaved oh i agree with that the last part
00:18:01.980 i agree with because because the anger can capture you but but sometimes that capture can be productive
00:18:08.160 do you not do you not get angry when you see injustice no not at all you don't i deal with it but i don't
00:18:14.120 get angry you wouldn't be angry if you're out there watching some man run around in women's sports
00:18:18.560 and and defeating like some young woman you cared about that wouldn't anger you not at all if you
00:18:24.860 saw somebody hurting somebody else that wouldn't anger you no see that angers me but it shouldn't
00:18:30.580 okay tell me i'll give you the floor because what you don't know if you have anger that you can deal
00:18:35.940 with issues perfectly without the anger anyone that has anger is being controlled because they can
00:18:43.820 make you feel good and they make you feel bad if they want to control you they say nice things
00:18:48.720 about you oh you're so wonderful you're so smart and now you're feeling good and then they want uh
00:18:55.980 if that doesn't work they'll say bad things about you now you're mad they have control of you an angry
00:19:02.240 person is controlled and an angry person is insecure and they live in their imagination and they do not
00:19:10.180 have perfect well well what what if you have an ability with with your senses to be able to you
00:19:16.900 know disclaim certain criticisms to be able to silo certain emotions but like you know what if people
00:19:24.040 channel anger to productive uses you you just do not believe that you believe that ultimately someone
00:19:29.560 who channels anger succumbs to it and a person that channels anger is an evil person because what you
00:19:36.000 and cannot be trusted even god said that an angry person is an evil person is a murderer and you
00:19:44.220 cannot trust an angry person that's why there's not there's not righteous anger no you do not believe
00:19:49.960 in the category of righteous anger there is righteous anger but it's not emotional at all
00:19:55.120 it's not it's perfect love it being able to see injustice and deal with injustice without judging
00:20:03.580 it without being mad about it and you would deal with it perfectly but see i would like in my last
00:20:09.240 job when i was in congress right i'd see people sell out straight sell out you know bribe of one form
00:20:15.640 or another yes bribes take all these different forms you know but i've seen almost all of them right
00:20:19.800 and i would get so angry at those people and i would i would feel like my obligation was to ensure
00:20:27.620 that the payoff they received did not result in something worse for the people and and i felt the
00:20:35.360 anger of a lot of the people i represented look you know i got elected in the tea party wave of 2010
00:20:39.740 to the state legislature there were a lot of people angry there are a lot of people really angry and then
00:20:43.840 after covid people were angry and i believe that anger was righteous and i believe it was justified
00:20:49.480 and i believe that it deserved a voice in in in representative government there are a lot of
00:20:54.000 angry people why don't they deserve angry persons on an ego trip and an anger person is all about
00:21:00.380 self then why why can't you be angry on behalf of somebody else's plate that doesn't make sense how
00:21:06.100 can you do that oh if i saw if i saw somebody you know hurting a loved one of mine if i saw someone
00:21:12.240 trying to abuse my constituents oh i would get angry on their behalf but um you deal
00:21:19.380 with issues better by not being angry than you do when you're angry well that could be true yeah it
00:21:25.800 is true and just think about this okay just think about this and smoke on this one we don't really smoke
00:21:32.320 but an angry person is separated from god and an angry person cannot know god it doesn't matter if you go
00:21:41.120 to church read the bible confess jesus or anything an angry person cannot know god you cannot enter into
00:21:48.860 the kingdom of heaven within okay or above what about wrath drop the anger what about do you believe
00:21:55.320 that wrath can be expressed separate from anger because god has expressed plenty of wrath but god
00:22:02.340 does not do that now he only did it then because the people were up to of evil there was no way out
00:22:09.260 and so he wasn't he wasn't expressing wrath upon the people he was doing it upon evil but the people
00:22:16.800 didn't know that he would deal with evil inside of them you got to realize that all human beings
00:22:23.800 are evil there's nothing good in human nature right and that's why nothing nothing nothing couldn't find
00:22:32.360 anything and good in human nature if you if you cut them over and look inside how do you explain why
00:22:39.780 people become hospice nurses what how do you explain why people become uh you know neato neonatal intensive
00:22:46.700 care nurses i mean there are certain things that people do with their lives that that are that are
00:22:52.860 good you think the thrill of watching somebody die they they feel good about doing that they feel
00:22:57.880 like they love someone they feel like they're important it's all for the thrill it's never about the
00:23:03.840 person dying it's always about the person that think that they are helping the person that's dying
00:23:09.040 ego uh angry people selfish people is always about self and they can't help it that's why you must be
00:23:15.540 born again of the father and you're not going to be born again until you can admit that you're angry and
00:23:23.040 that you're evil all angry people evil people i i agree that there is evil as a part of human nature there's
00:23:29.840 there's an evil that's just a part of nature nature even without the humans i know but it's not going
00:23:34.320 to change until they drop admit you know god said that in order to be born again we must admit that
00:23:40.340 we're wrong yes and what he's saying is that you must admit that you're angry that you're evil and when
00:23:47.160 you can admit that you're evil he'll take it away from you but that hardest thing for the human beings
00:23:53.940 and human nature to do is to admit that they're evil you got to confess it's not about the vices
00:24:00.120 that you're supposed to be confessing it's about your heart salvation is of the heart and human
00:24:05.380 nature hearts are wicked until they can see that and admit it then the heart will be changed from
00:24:12.400 anger to perfect love and you will have perfect peace right here on earth and you will deal with
00:24:18.900 life in a perfect way there will be nobody or nothing that can hurt you because now you're a
00:24:25.460 whole you're one with what's right you're one with the father but that's not going to change until you
00:24:32.080 drop the anger yeah i don't know i uh i go to it a lot it's a club i it's a it's a club i have in the
00:24:38.880 bag and but life would be much better for you and you would do amazing things if you drop the anger
00:24:44.800 why don't you drop what if i what if i turn into a wuss what if i turn into like one of these like
00:24:49.460 low energy angry people are wuss no i listen listen i think that there is a person that's not angry
00:24:56.440 because think about this if you don't have anger you don't have fear inside you don't have fear you
00:25:02.620 don't have doubt you don't have anxiety you don't have stress you don't worry you just living your
00:25:09.420 life is dealing with evil in a perfect way and you don't judge you don't hold anything against
00:25:15.400 anyone you're free and you deal with you see injustice and you deal with it perfectly that
00:25:23.040 sounds utopian it is it is different than my experience that's why christ came that we may
00:25:27.720 have perfect peace not that we may be emotional yeah i guess emotion does consume a good amount of
00:25:35.820 of the human experience so if people want to work on themselves this was something we were
00:25:39.140 talking about with one of uh with you know one of your parishioners who who i know well is a friend
00:25:44.800 of mine and she was explaining that when you were that that she has taken from your ministry that you
00:25:51.460 have to work on your entire self all at once that if you pick and choose different things you work on at
00:25:57.960 different times then you're always uh playing catch up yeah and you can't really uh achieve this type of
00:26:04.580 piece you describe maybe illuminate on that and and help us understand why that's your thinking
00:26:10.020 uh the one thing i want you to know for sure yeah it is that all thoughts all lies all the time about
00:26:21.240 anything and human being angry human being and i we all are born into that because we're born into
00:26:28.240 screwed up families right so we're born into we come in the world innocent children right but then
00:26:33.980 because our parents are screwed up we be at some point we become angry we become like what we hate
00:26:39.860 we become like our parents and so we repeat the cycle over and over from generation to generation until
00:26:46.340 someone finally changes but don't we pick up some of the good from our parents too no no i don't believe
00:26:52.060 that i believe that my i i hope to aspire to good unless they have worked on themselves and overcome
00:26:59.800 so let me ask you sure who are you i'm so excited when we get our merriweather farm shipments in
00:27:07.520 you get a beautiful piece of ribeye look look at that marbling now i take it out of the package
00:27:12.680 let it get down to room temperature all i've got on here is a little salt a little pepper and then a
00:27:17.760 little avocado oil and then i've had my pan preheating with a little oil head to merriweather farms.com and
00:27:30.240 enter promo code matt g for 15 off your first order i'm matt gates i'm the you know i'm a husband to my
00:27:40.360 wife i'm a father to my son i'm a son to my parents i try to be a good community member in any
00:27:47.740 community i'm a part of i try to be a good co-worker and and i try to i try to use whatever
00:27:53.940 skills that i have or that god has graciously bestowed on me for a valuable purpose and and to
00:28:00.860 be useful so you told me your name is what you do and what you have but who are you well i identify
00:28:07.760 through my family my family that's the core of my answer is who i am relative to those who i care
00:28:13.960 about most and so but who are you not what you do what you own who you belong i didn't tell you
00:28:19.500 anything i own family right yeah i don't own them they they're just you know but you just yeah you
00:28:26.040 didn't tell me who you are okay you told me your name right well you told me what you do what you
00:28:31.840 have but who are you yeah i i guess my identity derives from you know the people i'm around who i care
00:28:40.880 about so you are your environment in a lot of ways i think uh particularly as it relates to my human
00:28:48.780 interactions and my human relations i want to promise you you're not your environment you're
00:28:54.860 not your name you're not your thoughts you're not your emotions you're not what you have or don't have
00:29:00.720 you're not your color you're none of those things all of those things are false identities and that's
00:29:07.840 what angry people do they identify with a false self and they think that that's who they are and
00:29:13.340 that's not who they are and that's why they never get perfect peace because they have all these
00:29:18.080 identities or ideas of who they think they are and they have to work hard and not just you but all
00:29:23.640 anyone that does it and all people do until they start to overcome they have to work hard to try to
00:29:29.160 hold on to those identities those false selves and they never find peace so you find the peace by
00:29:36.660 working on the whole self yes this is the theory absolutely and how do you do that you got to see
00:29:41.700 you got to realize i don't know who i am i am angry i do have fear i do have doubt i got to find out
00:29:51.420 why i'm like that and then you start looking from within god said to know yourself right and most people
00:29:58.320 never look within to get to know themselves they live outer and not from within the kingdom of heaven
00:30:05.000 perfect peace is inside of us right here and we don't have to wait until we die to have perfect
00:30:10.400 peace and so once you get to see that you are angry and that you're very judgmental and there's no
00:30:17.680 peace in that then you go and forgive and you know who you forgive first do you want to know
00:30:25.240 is it yourself or your parents your parents your parents and especially your mother well i i all
00:30:31.960 mothers create boys and girls in their image they turn the children away from the fathers
00:30:40.440 by playing victim or sometimes telling the children how bad the father was and
00:30:46.120 and when the father is not around they say little things that make the children think the father is
00:30:53.240 not good why do you think they do that because that hasn't been my experience but i'm curious why
00:30:57.160 you think they've done that it it is your experience but you just don't know but by the time we finish
00:31:02.600 you know okay okay but tell me why tell me why is it nature is it um is it this uh evil you speak of
00:31:13.780 yeah the reason that way because the spirit of the woman is evil and it's not her but remember all
00:31:22.820 women all women all spirit of all women is evil that's your contention what no i didn't make it up
00:31:28.380 i'm gonna tell you the reality of it well what is your basis for that that's an that's an astonishing
00:31:32.900 claim and it's but it's true right and it's not her fault no i don't agree at all i know women who
00:31:39.800 who are are lovely and wonderful and i would never categorize as evil well let me tell you why
00:31:44.320 uh-huh you remember long story short uh remember the guy adam yeah and he had a wife named eve yes yes
00:31:52.440 and so and and and in that in those times adam had a relationship with his father god right
00:32:01.660 and he and the father were one and they communicated without words and then god gave adam a wife
00:32:09.640 by the name of eve and eve loved her husband who loved his father and they were perfect peace
00:32:17.560 and so one day long story short one day he went over to the market to get some food for grocery
00:32:25.660 and it all depends on what color who was running the market i'm sorry who was operating the market
00:32:31.100 i don't know it's really it's kind of a chicken or the egg situation she went to the garden the
00:32:37.200 garden okay the fruit got it i was just wondering and and so she was shopping and then along came a
00:32:44.320 guy called satan evil and he said oh hello eve how you doing fine how you all right she like he's like
00:32:53.060 how you and adam doing well we're fine we love it all as well so he had already approached adam years
00:33:00.220 prior to that but adam didn't listen to him and so uh he went back home and adam sitting at the table
00:33:07.940 having dinner she's like oh i saw satan today he asked about you and and adam said long story short
00:33:14.180 stay away from satan that's your enemy he's evil do not listen to him don't do it and she said
00:33:23.040 oh okay and so long story short uh she went back to the market another day garden went to the garden
00:33:30.880 yeah and to get some food for dinner and she saw satan again and he's like are you still with adam yeah
00:33:38.280 we're doing fine she said why why are you listening to that man he listened to his father he's weak
00:33:44.840 why don't you be your own woman don't listen to him and he was like no no no no i love my husband
00:33:51.900 all is well she's like but he's like but he's weak he listens to the father listen to be your own woman
00:33:59.080 you can take your bra off you can be free you can have abortion you do whatever you want just like
00:34:05.240 adam you can be free be your own be your own person right and he believed it this time
00:34:11.820 and the moment she believed the lie from the serpents she could no longer believe her husband
00:34:18.180 it separated them she could no longer believe him and so she went back home and the fight started
00:34:25.060 because now she thinks she's god she thinks she knows the difference between good and evil
00:34:29.620 and she thinks she's as good or better than adam so she didn't need a man
00:34:34.960 and then adam's like what uh and then a couple times she went back and she eventually convinced
00:34:43.420 adam she's like adam look at me i'm a free woman i'm doing my own thing i can have abortion i can do
00:34:51.720 i can go to work i can do whatever i want now i know the difference between good and evil why don't
00:34:57.460 you be free don't let your father control you why are you listening to him you can be your own man
00:35:03.140 and at first adam tried to reject her right but then he believed her and the moment he believed
00:35:11.100 the woman the woman became his god and the woman in the moment the woman believed the serpent
00:35:16.840 the serpent became her god but the serpent loses in the end and so and so what happened is the serpent
00:35:25.440 became the woman's god yeah and the woman became the man's god and that's why men don't know what to do
00:35:30.480 with women now they don't know how to handle them because they uh they have become like their mothers
00:35:36.120 you become like what you hate right what you're angry at and so they have the same mindset and emotion
00:35:42.320 as the woman has and so because you become like what you have you men become like their mother they
00:35:48.740 think like a woman they get emotional like a woman they feel the emotion of a woman and they think
00:35:55.080 that's normal not knowing that that is the fallen nature the abnormal nature and the woman becomes
00:36:01.900 like her mother she's not herself and because now she's think like her mother she get mad like her
00:36:08.320 mother she had like a patient like her mother and she treat her family if she has one children
00:36:13.980 the same way her mother treated their family right and and then but what happened was
00:36:21.680 and so that's how that happened the woman became the man's god and the serpent became the woman's god
00:36:29.480 that's that nature it's not them but it's the nature of the serpent so christ came and he changed all that
00:36:36.520 he made that sacrifice and when he made that sacrifice he set men and women free from the serpent
00:36:44.940 but they gotta admit that they still had an angry nature and forgive so god can forgive them and
00:36:51.980 everything will be changed their nature will be changed from the evil nature to the nature of god
00:36:57.560 it is quite the retelling of genesis uh that that that we got there uh the you said in your intro you saw
00:37:06.720 it as god over man man over woman women over children right if they're married do you believe
00:37:13.020 that structure is biblical is that is that where you derive that that belief well it is if if you're
00:37:19.260 married but if the woman is not married let's say the lady by the way you've never been married
00:37:23.760 so you know you speak about marriage in the abstract as an observer of marriage right not as someone
00:37:28.380 who's participated in the institution but but but that that man was a married either no he talked about
00:37:34.800 marriage i i i oh well listen i don't i don't i don't know that we all would uh compare ourselves
00:37:42.300 to christ i certainly why not well the whole divine nature of christ would be something i wouldn't i
00:37:49.140 wouldn't compare that same nature as in christ is in you well he certainly walked the earth but
00:37:54.760 as the son of god christ lived a a more perfect life than man right there's a holiness to it well all
00:38:03.920 all all children who return to the father and that's what salvation is all about it's about a
00:38:09.440 return to the father and so anyone that returned to the father is just is the uh become the son or in
00:38:18.480 the woman case the woman become the daughter of god and so the same nature that lived in christ lives in
00:38:25.040 you that's why christ said that whatever i own you own it too you are my brother and he said that greater
00:38:32.280 words that i've done that you should do because of the father in you so the same nature that christ
00:38:38.280 has you have it too but until you drop that anger you won't know that yeah i uh what do you think about
00:38:45.240 that that i thought but again i find i find anger to be a very driving and uh focusing and productive
00:38:54.220 emotion when correctly channeled i don't feel captured by anger all the things you say about it being
00:39:01.260 reflective of evil uh i actually think that it can be used to combat evil and you know they're also
00:39:08.060 by fire with fire how you're not evil well i don't know that i don't know that anger is inherently evil
00:39:13.660 i actually don't think it is uh i think that it at times can be someone's reaction to a malady
00:39:21.020 and i think it's okay to be angry at a malady i think that if you allow that anger to consume you
00:39:27.140 and to like as you say drive you away from god drive you away from your family that's probably
00:39:32.180 a bad thing but if if you see something is wrong and you want to fix it and you can draw from anger
00:39:40.100 in order to fuel your uh your endeavors i don't see that as like an impermissible way to obtain drive
00:39:48.020 but you can't fix what is wrong well i mean i think that there are certainly things that are wrong that we
00:39:54.740 can fix like what well i think that uh you know in uh my old job if there was a piece of legislation
00:40:03.940 that bent to special interests because their lobbyists had bought certain people off and you
00:40:10.660 could take those poison pills and get them removed and people would get a better product as a result
00:40:17.780 that was a worthy exercise but if you and you're right you can do that but that's that's not gonna fix
00:40:23.700 what's wrong because it's not going to change the heart of the people well sure but i mean
00:40:29.300 that becomes reductive to the point of nihilist if you say well i can't fix all the things that that
00:40:34.340 ail humanity so why even work toward modest improvements no you do i mean i mean god giving
00:40:41.620 you the ability to fix those physical things that you practical things that you can do that come from
00:40:48.100 god too but you can't fix another person you can't even fix yourself that's why you have to admit that
00:40:54.020 you're wrong oh yeah i don't think we can fix other people i've by the way that people try that all the
00:40:59.780 time yeah and you know i think that people do change i don't accept that oh like the way you meet
00:41:06.020 someone is the way they'll always be i think people can grow together and change together right they
00:41:10.580 get worse draw in no i think you can draw inspiration from others in your life not just romantic
00:41:16.020 partners but you know from work colleagues from neighbors and friends you can you can see how
00:41:22.260 other people do things better than you and you can mirror that and you can aspire to it and maybe there
00:41:27.540 are things that you do that other people can aspire but see it sounds like you're referring to the
00:41:32.420 practical physical thing i'm talking about the heart of the the human nature you cannot because you
00:41:40.340 you're right you can you can build a nice home and you can put people in a home but unless you
00:41:45.380 change the heart of the person nothing has really changed you may be living in a better place you may
00:41:50.420 be having strong laws and all that but until you change the hearts of the person they have not changed
00:41:56.260 yeah i i think that you know in in the world where i live work on wholesale yeah where you worked on
00:42:01.540 you know policy reforms they were they were discreet to a particular matter all right the notion of
00:42:06.500 changing all of human existence um a little more challenging but i do i do want to get your take
00:42:11.060 on something that's going on right now you know there is this um effort by trump to save america's
00:42:17.700 cities and i really wanted to get your perspective on this because we're seeing a number of voices out
00:42:22.580 there in the information space say it's totalitarian and others say it's rejuvenating i am hopeful that
00:42:30.660 people who've been tormented will be tormented less but as you see this happening what are your
00:42:35.860 observations i have to tell you what and i call donald trump the great white hope did you know
00:42:42.180 that yes i did know that some people call him king some people call him dad daddy i call him the great
00:42:51.220 white hope what he's doing for america we should be very thankful i've never seen one person
00:42:58.260 turn a country doing what he said he's gonna do by the way what we asked him to do we hired him to do
00:43:07.220 this to clean up crime shut down the borders do something about these inner cities where there's been
00:43:14.260 violent black-on-black crime and other crime for years this is nothing new and for donald trump to love
00:43:21.700 the country enough to go in and do something like that is amazing because one thing for sure
00:43:29.220 the mayors and governors of these cities cannot care at all they want you angry they want you killing
00:43:36.340 one another they want you stressful so they can come in to say i'll save you from this i'll give you a
00:43:43.060 program or i'll give you this or that and then they're blaming on racism and all that mess which doesn't
00:43:50.340 exist by the way racism is another made-up word no such thing as racism never has existed never will
00:43:57.460 exist impossible it's just a made-up word what what word do you use to describe when people
00:44:03.780 make judgments about each other based on their skin color evil angry evil people judge one another
00:44:09.860 that's why you got to overcome the anger so you can stop judging and understanding which only come from
00:44:15.620 god will give you understanding of what's going on and you would not judge you deal with it but you
00:44:21.780 won't judge the person because you realize what's driving them they can't help it so that word right
00:44:27.700 wow wait wait you think that when you observe evil you can divorce people from their actions by just
00:44:32.500 saying well all of humanity is evil and they can't help themselves you would be it seems to be that
00:44:35.940 seems to give people almost a cop-out that's not yet okay once you observe what's going on because you
00:44:41.540 understand what's been driving you until you overcome right you're going to understand what
00:44:46.020 others are that it's a spiritual issue our battle is a spiritual issue it's a warfare between good
00:44:53.380 and evil has nothing to do with color has nothing to do with male or female it's spiritual is right
00:45:00.340 versus wrong and anyone that has anger as i said is evil and they're going to hate anyone that is of good
00:45:07.620 and the battle starts and then evil people fighting against each other as well because they're on an
00:45:12.500 ego trip that's what the ego nature is all about but what donald trump is doing by giving the people a
00:45:19.540 break you know bringing international guards and getting rid of these criminals locking them up and
00:45:26.340 making sure hopefully get back bring back uh bell bar and and punish these people for what they're doing
00:45:33.700 instead of making up excuses for the so-called leaders don't want them punished they want them killing
00:45:39.860 each other because they get money and power from that false system power it's not real power but
00:45:45.540 they get money and power i thought it was they don't want it right yeah i thought it was interesting
00:45:49.540 that in dc mayor bowser did not take the most resistant position possible against trump yeah you know
00:45:57.860 she didn't uh react the way pritzker and johnson are reacting in chicago i think she kind of looked
00:46:05.220 at the situation and said if they could come in here and make it better she wasn't going to be the
00:46:09.940 reason that they didn't yeah and we i i judge her favorably for that choice i think that was a
00:46:15.700 private i was i was yeah i was happy yeah but so you got let's just chart like if you had this out on a
00:46:21.860 graph and you had mayor bowser as like the the premier example of a democrat mayor who didn't go
00:46:27.700 full obstructionist and on the other side you got mayor johnson in chicago where he's it looks like
00:46:33.140 they're going to go full obstructionist where do you think most of like america's mayors are
00:46:37.860 are going to are going to fall do you think they'll go more the bowser route or more the johnson route
00:46:42.420 it's all depending on how radical they are and how desperate they are for power and wealth and and
00:46:49.380 uh uh johnson in chicago is desperate for power well he he doesn't care about how can you tell
00:46:58.100 because look what he's doing to keep trump out he knows that crime is out of i have family members
00:47:04.580 in chicago i know chicago and crime has been that way for a long time and it's just getting worse and
00:47:12.340 and especially with the blacks the blacks little children are doing it now and this man knows that and
00:47:18.180 he knows that nothing's been done about it he's he's for evil he doesn't care it's about himself
00:47:24.820 whereas this lady in in dc but see that angers me like when i hear you say that and i hear that this
00:47:30.500 man allows these children to die in his city because he wants more power and he wants more wealth like
00:47:36.100 it does it goes back to our prior discussion like it bubbles up in me like that i don't that doesn't sit
00:47:42.100 well with me that is upsetting to me and why what good is it doing you to get upset about it
00:47:47.380 well i might rant and rave about it on my program that tens of thousands of people listen to and
00:47:52.100 they might get mad about it and change it and demand better of their government officials
00:47:56.980 but if the people were to change the government would change the people get the government that
00:48:01.620 they vote for that is true yeah the people change and put in a different government i think that's
00:48:05.940 why it's been voted for black people forever since the civil rights movement because they're black
00:48:12.020 not because they're qualified but because they're black who vote for somebody because they're color
00:48:17.700 that doesn't even make sense right but they've been made to believe the white man is the enemy
00:48:22.420 and somehow or another the black man gonna save you and it's just not true the black people are using
00:48:28.420 blacks for personal gain and that's why they look at this uh wicked wicked woman uh uh from uh
00:48:37.460 where is she from what's her last name jasmine crockett crockett yes yes crooked she's from uh she's
00:48:43.380 from bama somewhere but that woman all she ever cried racism she's from texas oh yeah she is
00:48:50.340 all she ever talked about her racism here she is a so-called congressman she's ended up she's not
00:48:56.340 telling the black hey i worked hard if she did i worked hard i did it you can do it too here's
00:49:03.140 how you do it she's not telling them that she's telling them they can't make it because of the
00:49:07.060 white man they can't make it because that's evil why don't you tell them how you did it because she's
00:49:13.700 black how did she get around the white man you know what i mean or white people she is evil and she
00:49:20.100 doesn't want it with her it's just an act it's not she doesn't even believe the things she's
00:49:24.660 i know she doesn't believe it but it helped keep her in power like at least aoc and ilhan
00:49:29.940 omar they at least believe the stuff they're saying they don't believe it either oh no no they're
00:49:34.180 nuts they're they're they're out there crockett don't they're crazy i'm not saying they're not
00:49:38.900 crazy i'm not saying they're not evil but they don't believe it because look they they how did they
00:49:44.420 get to where they're going there's this woman ilian omar yeah yeah i know this woman was a
00:49:49.700 refugee yeah that we brought into this country yeah and instead of saying thank you america she's
00:49:56.580 against america and she's not trying to encourage other blacks and other hey i'm a refugee i'm a
00:50:03.700 congressman now you can do the same thing here's how i did it do you think do you think most refugees
00:50:10.580 in the country identify with gratitude for being here or or resentment on what they think they're
00:50:16.340 owed no which or do you think it's any of that they don't appreciate america at all they're not
00:50:21.060 grateful they feel entitled they feel like we owe them something and if we don't owe them and we don't
00:50:28.340 give it to them we're racist and that injustice is all they don't have any gratitude how can you have
00:50:35.620 gratitude and follow elon and leon omar or rashid to leave whatever her name is another psycho another
00:50:45.300 when i become president and i'm gonna get i'm not gonna allow foreigners to be running for government
00:50:52.180 to be a part of our government decision even if they naturalized even if they naturalized okay because
00:50:59.300 they still have the mentality that they have and from that they from uh from the place that they
00:51:05.380 left they come here they create the same environment they left they're supposed to be running away from
00:51:11.380 socialism they come here they create socialism what sense does that make this is the craziest thing i've
00:51:17.060 ever seen and by the way because they are angry honestly that's what got a lot of hispanics going to
00:51:21.940 the right yeah because they saw that that the socialism was what their parents or grandparents were running
00:51:27.780 away from and when everybody in the democratic party started talking about socialism a lot of
00:51:32.900 those hispanics that had voted for obama were saying okay well not we're not here for the social
00:51:38.100 you don't want that mess are you running for president jordan lee peterson no not yet huh
00:51:43.700 what you say about jordan peterson no no jesse lee peterson sorry you know you're not running for
00:51:48.180 president you said you just said a second ago when you're president so are you going to run or you
00:51:51.700 gonna no no all right if i were to run if you were to run but i'm gonna wait for you to run and i'll
00:51:57.060 run after you i'll be your running mate we we would we would chop it up pretty good we'll bring home
00:52:01.700 we'll give that we'll leave that as our uh as our kicker for the episode jesse peterson
00:52:07.940 because of time what's that let me ask you this yeah please do you create your own thoughts
00:52:13.860 i don't know i think i have some of my own thoughts but i think also i have thoughts based
00:52:22.500 on the stimuli that are around me and do you create your own thoughts probably some of them
00:52:28.900 but probably not all of them where do thoughts come from the brain how does the brain create thoughts
00:52:35.860 man if i knew that i wouldn't be a talk show host i'd be a neurologist you don't create your own
00:52:39.700 thoughts no human being has ever created him or her own thoughts your thoughts are not your own
00:52:46.500 that's why you got to overcome them by stop identifying with them and then everything
00:52:52.020 will change for the good you don't identify with with thoughts no there's a way but if you didn't
00:52:58.740 identify with thoughts would you be limited to just identifying with emotions no you can't identify
00:53:03.780 with anger so it's becoming pretty dissociative if you got when you overcome the thoughts you will
00:53:08.820 overcome the emotions as well because you can't have the emotion unless you had a thought first
00:53:14.260 thoughts and emotions are kind of why i uh walk around the planet earth if i didn't have any of
00:53:18.820 those it would feel unhuman no you would feel droid like you would be free and you will have perfect
00:53:24.420 peace i would be free thoughtless emotionless unangry and and detached and you will have perfect peace
00:53:31.860 i probably sounds terrible i'm not just saying that because i know it sounds because it feels like to give
00:53:37.540 up a life which is the false life the thoughts and the feelings you think you're giving up you but
00:53:43.220 you're not you're giving up the false you christ said that in order to have a life we got to give
00:53:48.580 up a life and the life that we have to give up is the false life the ego life you're not your thought
00:53:54.740 you're not your feeling not your emotion all that crap you don't create your own thought we never have
00:53:59.380 created our own thought we can't do it all thoughts come from evil but then to know god and have perfect
00:54:05.860 peace there's annoying the truth without even thinking about the truth and so you don't create
00:54:11.700 your own thought i have plenty of thoughts about that but unfortunately i'm out of time but i appreciate
00:54:16.420 the the thought-provoking discussion even if they aren't our own uh jesse lee peterson you have a
00:54:21.460 tremendous following in this building and throughout southern california uh we are aware of lives that you
