00:00:30.000 Hey everybody, how's it going? Thanks for joining me this afternoon. I've got a great stream with

00:00:43.880 a great guest that I think you're really going to enjoy. On Monday, we had a man try to burn

00:00:48.780 down a federal building in New York as a protest against ICE. We know that we have Tyler Robinson

00:00:54.260 on trial for the assassination of charlie kirk and the dsa is exploding all across the country 1.00

00:01:00.240 we can laugh at these people and their ridiculous transgender nonsense and their insane masks 1.00

00:01:05.500 that make them look like nerds or losers but ultimately they are willing to do violence and 1.00

00:01:10.520 they are winning in the political arena joining me today to talk about this is one of our favorite

00:01:15.460 guests matthew williams thank you so much for coming on yeah thanks for having me on or and

00:01:19.380 it's always a pleasure to be here absolutely so you brought me this and i thought it was very

00:01:25.180 interesting as you said uh to me we had this attack on this building it's a a former uh military uh

00:01:33.520 well he was in the army i don't know if he was an officer uh but he served for four years he worked

00:01:37.800 on patriot middle uh patriot missile batteries apparently uh this guy was hispanic i believe

00:01:44.100 and was ultimately trying to show his disapproval of i guess america having deportations or a

00:01:49.360 border at all, which is good to know that people who are serving in our military are ultimately

00:01:53.380 also willing to go out and commit acts of terrorism to stop basic law enforcement.

00:01:59.880 But it really shows, as you were pointing out, that ultimately the left is willing to go out

00:02:04.480 and do these things, take serious actions, put conservatives and others in danger due to their

00:02:10.140 political beliefs. And as much as we like to make fun of the left and how ridiculous they are, 0.98

00:02:14.780 everyone's having a good time laughing about Christopher Nolan's woke odyssey at the moment. 0.96

00:02:19.360 We are seeing real serious threats from these people.

00:02:22.040 And it seems like conservatives would rather focus on some kind of aspect of the frivolity

00:02:27.000 of it all.

00:02:27.560 They'd rather tweet out about how we're going to stop communism constantly than take any

00:02:32.820 kind of real effort to put these people in their place to stop this spreading leftist

00:02:37.420 violence.

00:02:38.800 Yeah, and I think this is really one of the bigger questions that we've been sort of wrapping

00:02:42.760 our heads around for the last 10 years.

00:02:44.580 You and I have been involved politically long before we were online.

00:02:48.540 we've either worked campaigns or we were correspondents or we were interns at various

00:02:52.300 positions or phone bang for various campaigns. And, you know, it's always been interesting that

00:02:57.160 I can remember being, you know, 10 years ago, watching sort of how the media ecosystem was,

00:03:03.020 which was, you know, you had cringe compilations, you had even earlier, I think today on Twitter

00:03:08.180 was someone posting about how the famous sort of like trickly puff video of a large overweight

00:03:13.200 college student sort of just, you know, shaking her arms and screaming and being angry over a

00:03:17.400 Steven Crowder appearance in 2016 was now 10 years old. And when you look at what had happened

00:03:23.060 from, say, 2016 to today, the world in which the sort of trickly puff exists is one in which they

00:03:30.120 have gotten a lot more organized and still hold, I think, a great degree of power over the country.

00:03:35.860 And as we've seen over the last 10 years, not to mention, as you mentioned in the introduction,

00:03:39.740 sort of with the assassination of Charlie Kirk and Tyler Robinson, the hearings still going on

00:03:43.540 in court that these individuals are the ones that have no problem taking action and don't mind

00:03:49.720 becoming martyrs to their cause or serving life sentences or serving long terms in prison because

00:03:55.540 they know eventually someone on the left will either pardon them or that it's just one step

00:03:59.860 necessary to achieve their cause. We know this because Bill Clinton had famously offered pardons

00:04:06.340 or commuted sentences for various members of the Weather Underground and other left-wing terror

00:04:10.720 groups of the late 60s, early 1970s that have been famously covered by Brian Burrow in his book,

00:04:16.580 The Days of Rage, which I know had been referenced openly by Secretary of State Marco Rubio when

00:04:21.160 talking about terrorism in the United States. But at the same time, I think for the last 10 years,

00:04:25.800 there's been this sort of media cycle wherein, as you mentioned, the frivolity or the ability

00:04:30.660 to laugh at our enemies has sort of become this, you know, Debordian spectacle that we all want to

00:04:37.480 participate in because it is a lot more entertaining to point out that you know oh members of the

00:04:42.240 denver democratic socialists of america had their meeting and they were you know celebrating that

00:04:47.040 they had gotten someone to effectively dethrone a 15-year incumbent from congress while they're

00:04:52.080 all still wearing masks and such and while yes it's funny to point out that they're still masking

00:04:56.540 in the year of our lord 2026 uh those people have no problem organizing and they certainly have no

00:05:01.560 problem doing what's necessary to get individuals in power through the actual work that's necessary

00:05:08.020 to make sure that the system's gamed in their favor. And they unseated a white Democratic 0.72

00:05:12.740 Congresswoman for someone who was not even born in the United States. Someone who was born in

00:05:18.040 Ethiopia, who's openly advocating that the global South has to take over America in order for America 0.96

00:05:23.840 to stop being, you know, this exploitationist imperialist country. So again, just more of the 0.81

00:05:28.580 great replacement and being ruled by foreigners again in the form of god's judgment on the nation 0.95

00:05:33.020 but overall i think it just really kind of goes to show that we live in a society where you're 0.99

00:05:37.620 like yes a lot of conservative media pundits have no problem pointing out how silly or stupid some 0.97

00:05:42.620 of these ideas are remember i think it was jesse waters on fox that was making fun of the you know 0.97

00:05:47.340 anti-work guy from you know reddit.com a few years back and all of a sudden you sort of realize that

00:05:52.440 like yeah some of these positions are laughable but at the end of the day they're the ones that

00:05:56.320 like that individual who, you know, lit stuff on fire outside of an immigration courthouse.

00:06:00.620 Lest we forget last year in 2025, someone took rifle rounds to a bunch of ICE agents.

00:06:05.880 Ironically, they killed detainees and not the ICE agents themselves. But it really just goes to show

00:06:11.400 that our enemies are far more willing to actually pull the trigger and be organized while we're

00:06:16.740 reliant on the FBI and state and local law enforcement officials to take care of this,

00:06:22.300 while so often we find ourselves just pointing and laughing not realizing that these are the

00:06:26.720 people that are willing to kill yeah when you when you mentioned trigly puff there i could

00:06:31.420 actually feel my beard get like much longer and grayer yeah it became the the old giga chad meme

00:06:37.820 but uh yeah though the um it is an interesting transition right we we look people will talk

00:06:44.640 about 2016 as if it was just this fever dream dream right like that that you had the that

00:06:52.540 kind of that uh that stretch of uh wokeness that kind of broke over uh the the universities and 0.81

00:07:00.580 in the 2010s uh that this was the the woke at its most intense yeah the most ridiculous the most 0.87

00:07:06.760 cancel culture. But while that was obviously crazy, outside of a few people being chased off 0.69

00:07:16.380 of campus, it was all very performative. Yes, there were cancellations. Yes, there were people

00:07:22.920 freaking out. But it was a lot of the bedroom feminists. It was people sitting around and 1.00

00:07:28.880 talking about how they want to exclude men on campus or something. But there wasn't a lot of

00:07:34.440 direct terrorist activity direct violence now people act as if the woke has gone away it's

00:07:41.840 faded we're past p woke all these things but actually we're seeing far more willingness

00:07:47.360 by the left to become violent in these moments and i wonder you know why that perception has

00:07:55.400 shifted where people will downplay the effects of wokeness in the modern era even as the amount

00:08:01.740 of violence in its name seems to increase uh and why the left is feeling the need to become more

00:08:08.660 violent is it because they ultimately uh were uh they weren't able to achieve their goals donald

00:08:14.840 trump won and so they're feeling more desperate they you know they're not winning everything all

00:08:18.880 the time and so they feel the need to resort to violence is it just the increase in radicalization

00:08:23.980 from the rhetoric of these you know people who were woke in college coming of age uh new people

00:08:29.180 entering into this time being more radical what do you think has shifted uh where the left has

00:08:33.880 really ratcheted up its uh violence in these moments well i think a lot of it does have to

00:08:38.700 do with a large degree of a generational and also a large demographic divide i mean i know

00:08:43.660 recently in the wake of uh sort of the dsa getting its moment in the sun and rightfully so they've

00:08:49.620 they've managed to take a few scalps in primaries they've managed to basically we've had america's

00:08:54.780 had its own sort of sadiq khan moment where you know one of the largest cities in the united states 0.77

00:08:58.940 and one of the most important ones financially uh new york city has now been captured by a foreign

00:09:03.920 born you know progressive who knows how to play the game incredibly well has incredibly close ties 0.72

00:09:09.040 to various ngo groups and is working closely to reward his friends and to punish his enemies like

00:09:14.540 any good you know politician would on the left and i think that has a lot to do with the fact that if

00:09:19.560 you are someone under the age of 40 um you are going to have a different understanding of political

00:09:26.040 socialization than someone who's 40 and older. And so when James Carvile or Hillary Clinton is

00:09:32.340 gravely concerned about what white Democratic donors are saying about the DSA, they are very

00:09:38.500 far from what is on the ground and what's on social media. We have to remember that Hassan

00:09:43.520 Piker is considered one of the most important talking heads right now for the Democratic's

00:09:48.480 progressive wing of its party, and at the same time is openly calling that Mao Zedong was one

00:09:53.780 the most important, if not one of the greatest world leaders in human history. We have to

00:09:58.080 consider the fact that Twitch and other platforms has become the mainstay where individuals get

00:10:02.740 their news and opinions. We have effectively created parasocial feedback loops wherein we

00:10:08.240 offshore our moral compass and our political understanding of the world, individuals that

00:10:13.440 we think are better than us. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're experts. That

00:10:17.100 just means that this person's got the opinion, they've got the microphone, they've got the

00:10:20.160 professional setting they're going to do it and progressives have been championing for years and

00:10:24.460 i mean it's not just with uh the current stream of things i mean this has happened historically in

00:10:28.780 the past with um famously with members of the the weather underground even those that were white

00:10:34.320 were saying you know like i would never do anything to hurt you unless you were racist you

00:10:37.560 know and talking about you know basically ending an entire uh ethnicity of people and so i mean

00:10:43.000 again the younger generation has had its own uh sort of formulation in that wherein they're reading

00:10:48.680 theory or they're having someone explain theory to them. And now that you have to put that into

00:10:52.000 action. And I think that for a lot of them, that just means that where we're currently at is that

00:10:57.020 if I'm a young left winger, that I live functionally under a socialist state, Bernie Sanders

00:11:01.820 is a moderate centrist and that we need to go further. And if no one's willing to go further

00:11:06.420 than that, then I need to take actions with my own hands. There is an American communist party

00:11:10.880 in the United States. I know that that means very little in the wake of our two party system, but

00:11:14.640 when they openly advocate that they go out in the florida everglades and organize with firearms and 0.87

00:11:20.980 do weapons training you have john brown gun clubs and other uh forms of you know gay self-defense

00:11:25.880 groups as well and the progressive wing of the left um millennials down on younger will happily

00:11:30.940 sign up and say that those are the people that i want to side with and that means radical action

00:11:34.880 so when we see random commentators and get you know the clicks and the jeers and the reposts

00:11:40.840 the retweets saying that, you know, like, well, we need a Haitian style revolution in this country,

00:11:44.660 or we need to take a look at what happened in 1917 to take action. That rhetoric isn't going

00:11:49.680 to go away. And history proves that when we have a large enough of a displaced demographic that 1.00

00:11:55.880 isn't economically viable, they're willing to engage in party politics that, yeah, while they're 0.93

00:12:01.040 downwardly mobile, they're going to cheer on the idea that they can at least burn the village or, 0.97

00:12:06.140 you know, liquidate the kulaks or do what's ever necessary to make themselves feel good. And 1.00

00:12:09.880 Unfortunately, leftism has a really great track record of doing just that and considering open borders and the various individuals that have no tie or allegiance or blood to this country running for office and trying to change the system for their own ends and represent their own ethnic groups.

00:12:26.580 uh that's a i think a large part reason why to do so is that the younger generations are

00:12:31.120 socialized completely differently than our uh forefathers and they simply have no relation

00:12:35.960 to this country other than they live here and their job is to destroy it from within

00:12:40.040 you know the amazing thing as you're pointing out is that for all we like to make fun of the left

00:12:48.640 you know for all the reasons we already stated uh they're constantly willing to organize they're

00:12:53.000 constantly willing to get out there they're constantly encouraging each other to do this

00:12:56.800 uh not just politically but as you point out basically in functional militias you know what

00:13:01.380 is a self-defense group if not uh you know a proto-militia right um and so they're more than

00:13:07.560 willing to organize both politically and kinetically uh for their own ends obviously

00:13:13.620 we know antifa the cells the the assaults on ice agents as you say the attempt to assassinate ice

00:13:19.680 agents, it still kind of blows my mind that, you know, that happened. And we just didn't take it

00:13:25.300 seriously. Yet again, there has been little to no action. The Trump administration named Antifa

00:13:30.060 a foreign terror organization and then did nothing. Like, we have had no movement on this at all.

00:13:37.520 And so it's kind of wild. At the same time, it seems like the entire conservative ecosystem

00:13:43.380 is designed specifically to make conservatives as bad at politics as possible so for instance

00:13:51.000 whenever you talk about leftist organizing the response from almost all conservatives is

00:13:56.580 well we have jobs you know we have families we have kids we have things to do and you know there's

00:14:02.320 obviously a truth to this right like despite despite what mutants are real like they have

00:14:06.460 nothing better in life to do than to sit around and plan your death and their takeover and so yes

00:14:11.860 you know in that sense they do have you know more time on their hands and are more willing to do

00:14:17.160 this but ultimately uh that this just seems like a cop-out right that's the saying well we're just

00:14:22.220 not going to organize because we're too busy and so they they're automatically going to win that

00:14:26.480 they're automatically going to have that advantage and the same is true when it comes to uh frankly

00:14:31.900 violence uh it seems like the major job of every conservative is to assure the system that they are

00:14:39.540 of no threat right that that there are there are no violent right-wingers um you know that that's

00:14:44.900 never going to happen uh we all saw the response just to patriot front which was not in any way

00:14:49.580 doing violence as far as i understand uh but was simply marching around feel however you like about

00:14:54.680 patriot front uh maybe you think they're you know fed off maybe you don't whatever like ultimately

00:15:00.080 the point is even the appearance of right-wingers organized in a slightly uh you know uh militarized

00:15:09.240 form even though there's no violence involved is something that every single person on the right

00:15:14.760 feels the need to rush to to cry they they're not sitting there handing out flyers for patriot

00:15:20.320 front they're not out there you know encouraging young people to get involved or to form similar

00:15:25.220 groups they're saying oh we would never do this and the idea that any conservative would ever have

00:15:28.980 an organization like this any right winger would ever be involved in something like this is so

00:15:32.600 ludicrous it must be funded by the government must be the action of the spLC or the left or

00:15:38.460 something like that uh you know uh pretending to be right-wingers and so it seems like the

00:15:44.280 strategy is to render conservatives both politically and kinetically as impotent as

00:15:49.460 possible and if you suggest any other state should exist well then you're going to be called woke

00:15:55.760 you're going to be called a progressive you know you're a communist of some kind uh or some kind 0.70

00:16:00.460 of dangerous larper uh you know you're going to get a slant slandered in every way shape or form 0.95

00:16:05.360 and no one's ever going to address the issue that, well, the left is winning because they're 0.62

00:16:08.460 doing this stuff. Yeah. And I think this is sort of where the divide, I think, between various

00:16:14.560 factions of what you could call the new right or what certainly have come out of the last 10 years

00:16:21.040 in sort of the spaces. I mean, Scott Greer has done a great history of this in his book,

00:16:24.780 White Pill. But it really does come to show that when actually trying to organize,

00:16:30.140 it is difficult, I think, on the right in a lot of ways, because you have to,

00:16:34.160 you know find a way in which your most uh anti-social or your most uh let's say problematic

00:16:41.780 i don't really like using that word but i mean i think it kind of fits the description like because

00:16:45.280 you have to do very well because if you're on the right you automatically know that the states after

00:16:49.240 you the paramilitaries of the state are after you i.e left-wing ngos and activists that have

00:16:55.980 no problem doxing you if you simply say the wrong thing we have years of this and so attempting to

00:17:00.620 organize, I think, on the right, whether in a sort of militaristic or even in a, you know,

00:17:05.500 politically legal sense of the word, whether you're trying to do things like the sort of new

00:17:10.800 and improved John Birch Society, people are going to go after you and to track you down for

00:17:15.420 advocating that, you know, actually, we should follow the law, we should actually enforce the

00:17:19.640 law that's there, we actually should arrest the small 100 plus number of criminals that

00:17:24.600 continuously cause 80% of the crime in the country, or in the city and take care of it.

00:17:28.820 And I think that's a big part of it alongside the fact that, you know, we have a history of right wing organization and movements that either have been working explicitly with the federal government.

00:17:39.620 I mean, we can look at the Gretchen Whitmer plot. We can also take a look at numerous other organizations that have existed throughout America's history, both now in the 21st and 20th century, where they fall apart due to antisocial concerns or wanting to just stay as revolutionaries and not wanting to actually put into effect any sort of change.

00:17:59.620 But on top of that, I mean, the left knows that it has the side of the state to it because conservatism in America, and I think also in a large part over in the continent as well, is that it is always by almost seemingly deliberate design to enforce its borders when it comes to its fringes or its radicals.

00:18:18.540 Now, obviously, that hasn't necessarily worked all the time in America, at least, because, you know, 10 years ago, all the things that would have gotten people like Scott Greer and countless others in trouble advocating for identity or advocating for control over America's borders and its sovereignty and its relationship to countries like India or China or Israel, those things have become relatively mainstreamed.

00:18:43.220 They're not completely dominant in American right-wing politics, but even then, as you had mentioned, your article that you wrote a couple of weeks ago or two weeks ago on Patriot Front I thought was very fitting because regardless of whether or not you like them, it kind of goes to show that the instant immune response on the American conservative movement is to attack the right.

00:19:01.340 and it doesn't matter how much work that you've done investigating left-wing ngos the moment you

00:19:07.520 spot something that looks remotely fascistic um you know or something that you would call fascistic

00:19:13.100 that all of a sudden like your immune response goes up we have to attack the healthy cells in

00:19:17.020 our body which is usually young white conservative men that want to actually preserve the country

00:19:22.520 that they were supposed to grow up in that was supposed to be theirs that has been sold off

00:19:26.900 either to, you know, foreign visa labor

00:19:29.900 or by financial interests that are trying to shape the country.

00:19:34.100 And so, I mean, we've seen this for decades in our lifetimes, at least.

00:19:36.900 So I think it really just kind of goes to show that it's a tightrope

00:19:39.960 that if you want to walk on the right, you actually do want to organize

00:19:42.600 because there's not a lot of people that want to give you money.

00:19:44.600 There's not a lot of people that want to adhere to a vision

00:19:46.960 that may not necessarily be optical or socially cogent in nature.

00:19:52.120 And at the same time, you do know that you're going against

00:19:54.760 not just against the state and the intelligence community and the law enforcement apparatus,

00:19:59.040 but against radicals that are supported by said state apparatus that has no problem ending your

00:20:04.220 livelihood, your family, and so on. I mean, like, yes, you can use jobs as an example and an excuse,

00:20:09.160 but there are plenty of young conservative right-wing minded men who are not married,

00:20:13.920 who are very well to do and successful that believe in these things genuinely. And if they

00:20:18.740 actually want to go out and support those things, you know, all that you're doing is reaffirming

00:20:23.360 their belief systems when you say that they're either feds or some other kind of op when most

00:20:28.460 of the time they're not hey y'all it's kelly clarkson with wayfair ever order furniture online

00:20:33.460 and wonder what if like what if it doesn't hold up that sofa was four days old you should have

00:20:37.720 ordered from wayfair with wayfair there's no what if just style you love and quality you can trust

00:20:41.800 visit wayfair.ca wayfair every style every home yeah that's again the the dichotomy here um you

00:20:50.580 You have a culture of encouraging organization, of encouraging these groups coming together and building with focus on the left and the right at pretty much every turn, especially, as you say, with young white men.

00:21:05.960 The attempt is to demonize any organization, any group that might be catering to their needs, recognizing them as a block with interest, these kind of things.

00:21:16.820 and you have the currently the republicans panicking that the socialists are coming you

00:21:23.320 know that the dsa is is rising um that it is you know gaining political momentum more and more

00:21:29.840 young people are on board with this and it's very clear that despite our best efforts uh the right

00:21:36.060 has really learned nothing on this or conservatives at least have learned nothing on this because

00:21:40.160 their plan is to just debate people oh well don't you know that communism is bad haven't you haven't

00:21:45.140 you looked at the statistics that communism doesn't work.

00:21:48.320 And I've tried to explain this like repeatedly,

00:21:50.420 like one,

00:21:51.640 they don't care,

00:21:52.680 man.

00:21:52.900 Like they don't care.

00:21:53.920 The, 1.00

00:21:54.240 especially for the third worlders, 0.99

00:21:55.840 the communism is just a, 0.85

00:21:57.500 you know,

00:21:57.880 a intellectual window dressing for taking your stuff.

00:22:01.220 They know that,

00:22:02.180 that the American middle class,

00:22:03.840 especially white Americans,

00:22:04.580 they've got the stuff and they think they should have the stuff. 0.69

00:22:08.100 And so you can call it communism or you can just call it third world

00:22:10.960 redistribution or,

00:22:12.460 you know,

00:22:12.580 just,

00:22:12.980 just the siege of the barbarians,

00:22:14.860 you know,

00:22:15.040 the vandals sacking the city but ultimately it's the same thing man it's all it's all the same

00:22:19.760 picture and then when it comes to uh you know whatever americans are falling for socialism

00:22:24.300 well i you know i've been picking up on some recent uh ambient conversations when i'm in

00:22:29.240 you know the barber shop or or uh at the store and i'm hearing a lot of people you know and not

00:22:34.740 even young people you know people 40 50 year old saying hey you know housing prices are impossible

00:22:39.780 you know insurance is out of control uh there's no way to get ahead if you're not on wall street

00:22:44.860 If you're not plugged into the stock market, then basically you're making no money.

00:22:49.980 All the food prices are going up.

00:22:51.700 I can't afford anything.

00:22:52.880 I can't go anywhere.

00:22:55.000 You can tell people that socialism is bad.

00:22:58.200 You can point to all the historical examples you want.

00:23:00.440 You can break out your Rothbard or your Mises and crush their economic theories.

00:23:08.600 But at the end of the day, if people can't get houses and get married and have kids and

00:23:12.560 pay their bills and uh you know eat food and have a little bit of luxury uh they're gonna go with

00:23:17.520 the other guy they're gonna they're gonna follow that that people don't the idea that people

00:23:22.980 rationally select political ideas for their superior intellectual quality is something we

00:23:30.060 just have to break ourselves of and so the dsa is going to continue to swell its ranks as long as 0.52

00:23:35.540 third worldists and uh and a bunch of um uh you know disillusioned uh americans uh can't you know

00:23:44.060 can't can't make a dollar and the fact that you are while that's happening are discouraging the

00:23:50.980 uh organization of young americans uh you know young american white men that specifically the

00:23:58.840 fact that you're discouraging the organization of conservatives and political activity conservatives

00:24:03.900 well how do you think you're going to beat these guys again you the marketplace of ideas is not

00:24:07.540 going to win this for you so it seems like you're being completely unwilling to ameliorate the

00:24:11.960 conditions that are producing the growth of communism that you're worried so deeply about

00:24:16.740 while also discouraging any of the young men who would probably be able to fight back against this

00:24:20.900 from ever being in any kind of organization that would be able to stand up against it

00:24:24.820 yeah i mean the marketplace of ideas is just as rigged as nancy pelosi's stock portfolio like

00:24:30.900 clearly there's going to be some rules in place that do not go in one particular direction or

00:24:35.900 that the rules simply just do not apply to conservatives whatsoever because again if the

00:24:40.120 regular person were trading like nancy pelosi uh i would get a knock on the door and i'd probably

00:24:44.140 get arrested overnight you know with a no knock raid because how on earth is the regular average

00:24:48.460 just supposed to make that kind of money and i think that that is a big disconnect between average

00:24:52.500 sort of conservative politicians and media pundits alike that have no real clear understanding

00:24:58.020 of where the state of affairs are economically for anyone 35 and under. And of course, 35 and

00:25:04.900 unders are the most diverse, most non-white generation in America. They're going to be 1.00

00:25:08.480 adhering to politics under a standard that says, well, you know, this isn't fair, this isn't

00:25:13.680 working, and they're going to idealize the very types of the world like Luigi Mangioni's or the 0.65

00:25:18.560 Hassan Pikers or other sort of revolutionary movements in European history because they know 0.80

00:25:24.060 that that works and that they know that they can idealize the violent theft and the you know taking 0.97

00:25:29.840 of lies if it means that just for an instant they feel better or that they manage to have the same

00:25:34.880 material wealth and prosperity even if for a few seconds even though they're going to burn through

00:25:39.100 it and waste it we can look towards history to see how well that that's turned out both in france

00:25:43.520 and in this in the soviet era as well but all that to be said it kind of just goes to show that

00:25:48.940 yeah things are really hard and talking about affordability is really difficult when people

00:25:54.780 like nancy mace are talking about you know no taxes on boat loans and things like that things

00:25:59.920 that are only really appealing to no property taxes for seniors yeah no property i think you've

00:26:04.660 seen that in florida as well and i mean luxury boomer communism exactly it's the article from

00:26:09.060 the american uh the american mind the luxury boomer communism like i get it you know conservatives

00:26:13.520 are relying on like the 55 and over crowd that have the most money and have the assets you have

00:26:19.020 to cater to that this is why social security is always kicked down the you know the can has always

00:26:23.300 kicked down the road because you're relying on those voters and we know that social security

00:26:27.200 funding from the social security administration is very vital to your congressional district and

00:26:31.720 so on and so forth but at the same time you know when you're so focused on the elderly and not

00:26:37.860 focused on the young the young are going to look to wherever the path of least political resistance

00:26:43.560 is for them and right now that seems to show that hey uh you're disenfranchised you feel

00:26:49.060 downwardly mobile you're probably going to stay downwardly mobile but if you stay with us and you

00:26:53.280 follow our rules you join our camp um at the very least we can probably promise you rent freezes 1.00

00:26:58.440 student loan forgiveness and if you're lucky you might be able to like you know take a chud scalp 0.90

00:27:02.560 or two if you're really radical about it like you'll be lauded as a hero or a martyr for whatever 0.85

00:27:06.860 it is that you do and while you know are the political you know coalition on the left is

00:27:12.040 incredibly tenuous with its various ethnic backgrounds the intricacies of intersectionality

00:27:16.840 they are still all more or less united on the motivating factor of anti-white racism against

00:27:22.580 the united states and its population and i think that that becomes very clear and foremost when

00:27:27.020 you see individuals like i mentioned earlier um her the the lady's name i mentioned at the beginning

00:27:31.080 is like Melat Kiros from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. 0.99

00:27:36.060 She's the one in Colorado.

00:27:37.280 And she's just saying like,

00:27:38.440 we're gonna have to put more people

00:27:40.560 from the global South in office. 0.61

00:27:42.620 And for them, that just means

00:27:43.540 we're gonna take your stuff

00:27:44.600 and we're going to make sure 0.99

00:27:45.900 that the actual Americans have no voice or power

00:27:48.680 in the country again.

00:27:50.280 And that's sort of the politicking of how it is.

00:27:52.100 Because yeah, it is difficult to make ends meet.

00:27:54.440 Not everyone has access to these jobs.

00:27:57.220 We see it all the time

00:27:58.160 that you can have thousands of layoffs 1.00

00:28:00.060 in some of the most lucrative sectors of the American economy, only to be replaced by H-1B

00:28:05.060 visas or other forms of offshore. And we've been seeing this since the 1990s. On top of all that,

00:28:10.500 we are having not just a competency crisis of institutional knowledge being disappeared by 0.55

00:28:14.820 elderly white men retiring or, you know, competent people not getting jobs, but also, you know, now 0.86

00:28:20.580 our migrant farm labor is also causing various problems with the food. You know, of course, 0.92

00:28:27.160 diarrhea let us as people like to joke about but all that being said or and i think what it kind

00:28:31.620 of goes to show is is that the affordability question is the one i think that's going to be

00:28:36.380 played front and center um going forward and i mean like the late you know senator john mccain

00:28:41.300 his daughter had said like if someone like ma'am donnie's rhetoric is popular in 28 the gop is

00:28:47.040 gonna have a problem i don't agree with mccain's period but when she's saying that i think she's

00:28:51.540 got a very valid point that the affordability crisis is going to continuously be front center

00:28:56.380 even if the economy on paper is looking good if there is information that can be pointed out for

00:29:01.300 a lot of young disenfranchised people left right and center to say that like uh you know the average

00:29:06.580 home buyer is either 40 and older um houses are getting more and more expensive we're focusing

00:29:11.600 more on 401ks and if you're not playing the wonderful meme game of coins and tokens and

00:29:17.740 playing the stock market and you're not working an additional two jobs on the side you know then

00:29:22.340 things are going to be very tough for you now don't get me wrong there's a lot of personal

00:29:25.600 decisions that that individual probably made in their life that they probably could have done

00:29:29.320 better but it's very hard to tell someone like well you should have just made the right decision 0.85

00:29:33.600 because then all of a sudden you just turn into the boomer saying well you shouldn't have

00:29:36.680 majored in lesbian dance theory because even a lot of jobs that were economically viable in terms of

00:29:42.740 you know diplomas and degrees 10 years ago they're not economically viable anymore due to either the

00:29:48.120 job market getting tighter um offshoring of positions ai and other things like that that

00:29:54.120 make the dsa and that make america's position on the national stage a very tenuous one because

00:30:00.900 we're opening the world to everyone else to come in and you top this all off with the birthright

00:30:06.320 citizenship decision from the supreme court they now have an effective means to continue to have

00:30:10.460 power for years on end and the one person on the american right or at least in the american

00:30:15.100 conservative movement that had a finger on the pulse on this issue unfortunately was killed by

00:30:20.020 a disgusting degenerate over a almost a year ago now and i think that that's the most tragic part

00:30:25.660 of all this is that the person who knew exactly what time it was was killed by the very radicals

00:30:30.720 that he tried to argue against if there's one person who would have been able to drag the party

00:30:36.560 kicking and screaming into the future and addressing young people yeah it would have been

00:30:41.060 charlie kirk right and so uh you know losing him yeah horrific and uh you know sadly perhaps the

00:30:49.660 most effective political assassination in American history. That said, it is concerning

00:30:57.480 that the cost will, as you say, the affordability issue will continue to be front and center

00:31:04.760 because I don't think that Republicans are ready to address this at all. Trump ran on the idea

00:31:10.660 that he was going to be reducing these prices, among other things. And of course, now we're

00:31:16.360 looking at, you know, two more dead American troops from exchanges of fire with Iran, which

00:31:22.400 means we're only going to be extending this war longer, which means the gas prices are going back

00:31:27.040 up. And as you head towards midterms, I mean, even the strongest of plan trusters were telling

00:31:31.580 me, well, yeah, obviously we need to be out of there by June, you know, so that the gas prices

00:31:35.960 can fall and people can forget and Republicans can win in November. Well, now it's, you know,

00:31:41.600 the end of july and obviously we're not going anywhere this war is not going to be wrapped up

00:31:46.460 for at least another month if we're extremely lucky uh and uh you know that we're we're just

00:31:51.800 not going to see this go away and you know there are very few things ultimately that the president

00:31:56.600 probably can do to control affordability but one of them is not fighting wars that affect your gas

00:32:02.260 prices uh and uh everyone's going to remember all these people who are talking about the

00:32:06.440 affordability issue they're going to remember that uh in november now i don't think there's

00:32:10.180 any way to avoid that. And this is going to only increase, obviously, the problems that we're going

00:32:15.280 to be facing. But, you know, the communists are not going to stop radicalizing. The young people

00:32:20.760 are increasingly going to find fewer and fewer options as a way forward. And so they're going

00:32:25.700 to buy into whatever system they can. The people who are being imported are going to continue 1.00

00:32:30.940 to vote for whatever redistribution will allow them more in the country, not caring about the 1.00

00:32:37.980 future of the country or whatever specific economic ideology ultimately undergirds the

00:32:42.180 entire thing. And it seems almost impossible to just shake people awake from this. You know,

00:32:47.320 we're still seeing, you know, as you say, I'm more than happy to acknowledge that personal

00:32:53.540 agency is a thing, that the most important thing you can do is make your life better. You're the

00:32:57.400 only, that's the thing you have maximum control over. So sitting around and complaining about

00:33:01.060 the position, the system by itself is not going to be fruitful, right? So I agree with people

00:33:05.660 there. Ultimately, Jordan Peterson's bootstrap, make up your room, make your bed, clean up your

00:33:12.520 room advice is the best for an individual person. But the idea that a political movement will not

00:33:18.920 address these issues at scale is suicidal. And I just keep seeing people wanting to return back

00:33:24.680 to the Republican rhetoric of, well, just follow the rules, keep your nose clean, work inside the

00:33:30.500 system, and we will see the change. That will get you ahead. As they're welcoming all these

00:33:36.800 people in, as they're devaluing the dollars that people are making, as they're importing people to

00:33:42.640 replace American workers, as they are refusing to address these systemic issues of anti-white

00:33:49.380 discrimination and other things and hiring processes, the university system, everything

00:33:54.080 locking young people out of improving their lives. And yeah, as I've said many times, if you're

00:33:59.920 if you're truly worried about the radicalization of young men in this country especially young

00:34:04.520 white men the best thing you could do is address their issues is deal with the problems that

00:34:08.660 they're facing and that's the one thing that everyone seems just you know unwilling to do

00:34:12.440 they refuse to treat these things as valid they mock anybody who tries saying ultimately well

00:34:18.380 you know don't you understand that you're just you're just becoming a woke whiner you're becoming

00:34:22.800 of you know victim mentality and again you know there is some truth to being uh you know careful

00:34:28.480 about leaning too hard into the idea of being a victim. But if you are entirely unwilling to

00:34:33.840 address these things, then I really have no sympathy for you when these things really blow

00:34:38.340 up in your face, when the backlash really comes. Because ultimately, you have just kicked the can

00:34:43.080 down the road, denied repeatedly, and you have, as the Bible says, the father, do not frustrate

00:34:48.920 your children. Do not sit there mocking their problems or their issues, pretending like there's

00:34:53.660 nothing that they could face that is difficult. Because if you do that, ultimately, these people

00:34:58.360 will turn on you they will resent you and they will seek revenge uh and you know you can mock 0.98

00:35:03.580 that all you want you can laugh at all you want you can you can say that they're losers uh they're 0.92

00:35:07.540 incels uh whatever you you know make you make up whatever uh insults you need uh but do not be 0.59

00:35:13.260 surprised when they continue to go you know looking for guys like andrew tate don't don't

00:35:17.160 be surprised when their solutions become uh you know you know rampant uh and kind of more third

00:35:22.620 world uh orientations or or communism because ultimately you've offered them nothing and you've

00:35:27.660 told them you will never offer them anything and they just need to figure it out even though

00:35:31.500 you're actively looking to destroy their ability to move forward through your own selfishness and

00:35:36.080 i just it baffles me that no matter how many times we see the strategy fail it seems to be

00:35:41.340 the only thing conservatives are willing to invest in yeah and i again i think that it really kind of

00:35:46.680 just goes to show where the last 10 years of sort of some of this online spaces have sort of developed

00:35:53.740 and what's been taken on by, you know, sort of the conservative establishment.

00:35:57.760 And I think one of the biggest things that has been taken and adopted, I think, both

00:36:01.960 for a form of edginess, but also for a form of, you know, being able to communicate with

00:36:05.700 the youth, of course, has been our meme culture.

00:36:08.300 Like, I know that this take will probably get me in trouble to some extent, but in a

00:36:13.660 large part, I think that, you know, whether we're making fun and we're saying like Star

00:36:17.020 Wars names, or we come up and we quote tweet profile pictures, or we cite phrases and

00:36:23.360 terms like the long house or you know the the glove shittos of the world or whatever all of

00:36:29.060 those things i think in a large degree do kind of ossify the mind and it makes some form of clear

00:36:34.060 thinking impossible um you know neoreactionary had sort of that stuff as well where you could

00:36:38.860 just you know blame everything on this ephemeral cathedral and then not really explain what that

00:36:42.500 meant and you could just use that as your mental model even though it's not very uh thought out

00:36:47.460 and it's not structured very well and it sort of ossifies the mind and in fact all that it's done

00:36:52.560 has created this calcification of your own thought process on how do we overcome these problems.

00:36:56.920 And of course, that also means that if we say like, oh, these are feds or oh, this is from the

00:37:01.560 SPLC, you've created effectively a thought terminating cliche that fundamentally leaves

00:37:05.900 you out of touch with a lot of younger white Americans that feel disenfranchised and feel

00:37:11.780 like a foreigner in their own country and are willing to take action in whatever way that that

00:37:16.000 means to do so, whether that's within the confines of the Republican Party or their local political

00:37:21.260 apparatus or they're willing to look towards the radicals and this is a big part of what had the

00:37:26.020 online right move in all of its various further right-wing directions that we would see from the

00:37:31.160 average republican politician and so i think that you know when clear thinking becomes impossible

00:37:35.940 through our own sort of memetic frameworks that we have a real problem on our hands because you're

00:37:40.500 absolutely right you know you're you're leaving a lot of people wondering like well why don't they

00:37:44.400 listen to us and say well they are listening and they're adapting these memes and they're talking

00:37:48.160 about all sorts of things going down from nixon maxing down to the long house down to even like

00:37:55.340 luxury boomer communism like these phrases oftentimes stop the brain or stop people from

00:38:01.720 thinking well how do i actually address the problem of the issue that's being turned into a

00:38:06.620 meme itself and i think that that kind of becomes really front and center when we look at our

00:38:11.160 current political moment like yeah we can quote we we have our little echo chamber on the most

00:38:15.700 important social media platform on earth, which is Twitter right now. And don't get me wrong,

00:38:19.840 it's very important that we have it. I'm glad Elon Musk purchased it. I'm glad that we still have

00:38:23.380 some semblance of freedom of speech on one platform. But at the same time, there's plenty

00:38:29.260 of other ways in which the left knows that they can organize and that a lot of people are going

00:38:33.120 to stay happily on a bubble. And we saw this too, with sort of the red wave that was predicted

00:38:38.600 in the Biden administration's midterm election. We had really hyped ourselves up online saying

00:38:44.460 like we were actually going to do well. We were going to make Biden a lame duck. And that didn't 0.97

00:38:48.020 happen, despite all evidence to the contrary online. And I think that we need to be very

00:38:53.300 mindful of that going forward, that we too can become just as out of touch as those that are

00:39:00.260 in Congress right now. And overall, I think when we take a look at the economic issues that people

00:39:04.900 are concerned about, whether it's affordability or what can I pass down to my kids, or I'm thinking

00:39:09.500 about getting a second job or a side hustle to make things, you know, to make ends meet,

00:39:14.200 it really does go to show that as the war continues and as our politicians don't really

00:39:18.560 seem to have a clear line of direction on how to govern the country, they have no problem,

00:39:23.200 you know, talking about amnesty for the 20th time in a row, despite constantly getting harassed by

00:39:27.880 the base to not vote for it. You know, they haven't been able to pass a full budget, I think,

00:39:32.320 since 1997 and have actual, you know, governing policies in place. But overall, like this is

00:39:38.420 where we're at is uh you know more generations becoming out of touch through the very tools in

00:39:42.700 which they use to gain elections and to gain their victories while at the same time the left has no 0.94

00:39:47.240 problem siding with the stranger siding with the foreigner to burn down the homeland and destroy it

00:39:52.280 from within and countless conservatives will engage in thought terminating cliches just so

00:39:57.900 they feel good about themselves uh when they call you know activists on the right feds or spLC plants

00:40:05.560 and things like that so overall or and i think it becomes just really important on our end and

00:40:10.680 our side of things to engage with the data and the facts and the reality on the ground rather than

00:40:17.720 sort of with the the memes or the the discourse of the day etc etc because overall that sort of

00:40:24.420 leaves us fundamentally unprepared for what's to come and um as i've written before and as i've

00:40:29.500 said elsewhere on the show uh you know a lot of people thought we were going to get this real

00:40:32.640 turning moment, but instead we have sort of this pastiche anti-woke neoconservatism that has

00:40:38.200 certainly taken hold of large swathes of the American conservative movement, while at the

00:40:43.040 same time lambasting those that I think see the writing on the wall. And I don't want another

00:40:47.600 generation of beautiful losers, and I don't want another generation of America Cassandras like 0.82

00:40:51.920 Pat Buchanan, because the enemy's already inside the gates, and they're telling you exactly how 1.00

00:40:56.360 they're going to import more people in here to rule over you. Yeah, you were certainly vindicated

00:41:01.620 on that prediction and i have to say uh yeah it's great of course to have you know it was thrilling

00:41:08.400 to see the president post something that i i had put on twitter and you know to have the dhs use

00:41:14.360 my memes and i think we all got excited for a minute to see kind of these corridors of power

00:41:20.320 using our phrases using our words speaking our language um but ultimately if the actions don't

00:41:26.780 follow right like the da it's nice that the dhs posts my memes but where are my deportations man

00:41:31.680 like that's that yeah that that's what i care about and so uh maybe they've gotten better at

00:41:36.780 messaging to a certain crowd appealing to it um we know that there's a lot of uh young online uh

00:41:43.200 guys in the administration you know and and so clearly they're mastering that language uh but if

00:41:49.160 there's no follow through you know like you know marco rubio has given some you know great speeches

00:41:53.840 But if I ultimately don't see a radical shift in foreign policy that benefits my country, then what is the value of that rhetoric, right?

00:42:01.940 Like, ultimately, we need to see words and action combined. And it seems in many ways that there's often a subversion of that communication to bring us back into, as you say, kind of this anti-woke neoconservatism to kind of recapture, you know, and in many ways, you know, as much as we like to mock boomers for their catchphrases about small government and taxes and everything else, there seems to be a possibility of, you know, the next generations.

00:42:31.940 also being captured by a slightly more, uh, edgy and online, uh, uh, slogans, but ultimately

00:42:38.600 ones that don't, uh, you know, follow through with any kind of real action, which again is

00:42:42.860 why it's so frustrating that people are so willing to rapidly criticize those who are

00:42:47.480 organizing on the right, uh, and, and treat that as something dangerous because if it's

00:42:51.840 all just catchphrases, it's a, if I'm look, I'm good at making catchphrases.

00:42:55.060 I'm good at making memes.

00:42:56.180 I appreciate, you know, when people like my work, but ultimately that itself is not enough,

00:43:00.940 You know, and if that's all that gets taken away from this, you know, there is a great line from Pat Buchanan who said, you know, in the 80s, you know, the Reagan administration, we had all the ideas.

00:43:11.760 We thought we'd, you know, we've been told forever that it was the ideas and the experts and the arguments.

00:43:15.620 And once we had those down, we would win the day.

00:43:18.700 You know, that's what the battle was all about.

00:43:20.020 And then we had all that stuff and we lost.

00:43:22.640 And the moment realized that actually that's not what matters.

00:43:25.680 And so I fear that there's this temptation to once again get caught in the idea that we can kind of just explain our way out of it, debate our way out of it, when what's really necessary is a lot of hard on the ground work and real action that people are just not willing to engage in.

00:43:41.900 Not only are they not willing to engage in it, they seem to actively attack those that do.

00:44:16.320 Yeah, and I think that, again, this is not to be doom and gloom.

00:44:20.660 This is not to save this behind the the the courage of a podcast, Mike, or however so many people like to, you know, dismiss people they disagree with.

00:44:30.360 But this is why I think it becomes so important to bring your ideas into a quote from a to a quote from a priest.

00:44:38.480 I quite like, you know, you have to bring them into 3D.

00:44:41.120 You know, you cannot simply engage from behind the mic.

00:44:44.260 You simply cannot engage from behind the phone on the Twitter account or the group chat.

00:44:49.300 Like these things also require you to be in person. And this is why as much as there's debates over, you know, how do I get involved or what do I do?

00:44:57.720 I mean, the world really is your oyster when there is so much institutional knowledge about how, you know, even the smallest minutia of government work.

00:45:04.720 um because again as someone who's worked in local politics and in local state government

00:45:09.220 i cannot begin to behoove younger people especially those who have been the most

00:45:14.080 disenfranchised and discriminated against young white guys from organizing um in every way possible

00:45:19.220 in which they can because you are going to be the people that will put the right ideas in front of

00:45:24.280 you know the opportunity of the real decision makers and if you're not there actually doing it

00:45:29.180 then you're only going to be on the sidelines just like every other boomer that yells at their tv

00:45:34.920 Say what you will about any organization,

00:45:37.440 but I mean, over the last course

00:45:38.900 of this last primary season,

00:45:40.600 I mean, the right had some major victories

00:45:42.820 in part due to TPUSA

00:45:44.620 and their great efforts to punish various individuals

00:45:47.400 in the state house in Indiana

00:45:48.600 and to move things in a more rightward direction

00:45:50.920 in a lot of red states where we kind of grow complacent.

00:45:54.060 And so there's a lot of praise that has to be said

00:45:56.200 for on the ground electioneering efforts.

00:45:58.500 And there's a lot of groundwork

00:45:59.620 that needs to be laid out

00:46:00.600 also with just making sure that your town 1.00

00:46:02.520 is not ran, uh, by idiots. And I mean, Texas is a good example. I mean, you know, people will move 1.00

00:46:08.820 here. Some will just simply try and accept the fact that they've gotten away from how bad things

00:46:12.540 are in California, but those that move here and are willing to do everything that it takes to

00:46:17.240 preserve the red state factor of the state or the city that they live in. I mean, the city of Irving

00:46:22.740 is a really good example of that, how a lot of work had been done to kind of organize and try

00:46:26.820 and keep things in a more Republican direction, despite the changing demographics and politics

00:46:31.120 So the city is a really good example of this. The election of Beau French to be the Republican primary winner of the Texas Railroad Commission is another excellent example of this, that it requires you to be on the ground.

00:46:43.660 And I mean, as a personal story of mine from where I worked, there was a small town that I used to oversee working for a certain planning organization.

00:46:52.700 And, you know, the mayor had just up and died of a heart attack.

00:46:57.100 And all of a sudden, 20 years of institutional knowledge just disappeared.

00:47:02.000 And you have to then basically train someone from scratch on how all these policies work, how all this grant stuff works, how all this funding operates.

00:47:09.320 and if you're not willing to learn these things then the democrat activist or the dsa socialist

00:47:15.960 that wears you know a mask and talks about pronouns all the time they're going to be the

00:47:19.920 one to step up and i cannot behoove your listeners especially the younger guys anyone who is my age

00:47:27.020 and younger 30 and below to get organized because you've probably been already you know

00:47:32.380 enculturated in the online political space since you were much younger than i was um and you already

00:47:38.140 know how bad things are. You are aware of the laws and you were intelligent enough to navigate

00:47:42.940 where things are. The average person can't tell you who their county commissioner is, let alone

00:47:46.660 their state representative. There is so much work that you can take advantage of because no one

00:47:53.200 knows the bare necessities of how to even engage with that system politically. Are you at the

00:47:59.120 disadvantage because the left already knows this and gets the money and is sponsored and subsidized

00:48:03.100 by the state to do so? Yes, absolutely. But I would much rather side with the 25-year-old who's

00:48:08.800 way more radical than I am and wants to make a difference in his local town and asking me about 0.98

00:48:13.780 grants or whatever than someone who simply says, yeah, well, this sucks. I'd rather be with the 0.87

00:48:19.020 young guy who might even call me for being too much of a downer or panicking because at least

00:48:24.200 that guy has the motivation or the belief that things can get better. And I have the same belief.

00:48:28.300 um so as bad as things are and as oftentimes we kind of ossify our mind with these memes

00:48:34.040 there is a lot of work that can be done and with the rhetoric that gets put out whether it's by

00:48:38.380 marco rubio or by um senator schmidt and countless others i think that there's a lot of groundwork

00:48:44.500 to be laid with that rhetoric that the next generation much younger and much more you know

00:48:49.780 bloodthirsty than ourselves uh can take advantage of and i wholeheartedly will do everything in my

00:48:54.740 power uh to make that happen well i think that's a word encouragement we should absolutely go out

00:49:00.560 on so uh of course it's always great speaking with you matt and guys we are uh pre-recorded
