00:05:51.820 of neutral institutions that would allow for a society free of competing moral visions. All of the
00:05:57.760 conflict around essential questions about religion or ultimate meaning could be put aside as everyone
00:06:02.940 operated on a minimum acceptable morality that would allow for different groups to work together in
00:06:08.240 the marketplace. Neutral institutions would eschew ideology in favor of objective and expert
00:06:13.720 management that would improve the lives of society as a whole. This was always a lie. There is no such
00:06:20.140 thing as a neutral institution. Governments, corporations, and media are constantly making
00:06:25.400 decisions of value, and those decisions will be made based on a moral framework. The moral framework
00:06:31.020 on which social institutions make decisions will be transmitted through everything they do. There's just no way to
00:06:37.260 avoid that truth. A religion that believes that drag shows are good for children but church services are 0.99
00:06:43.040 bad for them will not share institutions with Christians. It will either expel them or it will be 1.00

00:07:38.620 only thing that will protect American institutions from hostile ideology and conservatives must provide
