The Auron MacIntyre Show - Special Episode： The Other Side of the Rubicon

00:00:00.000 hey guys this isn't a a normal episode of the show i don't know what this is but i've just

00:00:12.840 been watching something and i needed to say something about it so i've been monitoring

00:00:17.320 what's been going on and uh you know especially on twitter and of course i know twitter isn't

00:00:22.200 real life directly i mean people will say things on twitter they would never say to you face to

00:00:27.500 face but in the same instance of course we have the fact that donald trump is basically president

00:00:32.820 because of twitter uh you know joe biden stepped down from the presidency theoretically and kamala

00:00:38.240 harris took over on twitter you know charlie kirk is dead because of what people were saying on the

00:00:44.340 internet because they were calling him a fascist they were saying that we had to fight back against

00:00:49.040 nazis his murder was planned by people on the internet so we can't pretend the internet isn't

00:00:53.880 exactly real life either obviously the the bleed in at this point is very very real and one of the

00:01:00.500 things i've been noticing on twitter is that the left is um they are completely out of control and 0.77

00:01:06.140 i don't mean like haha look at them they're crazy i mean haha they're planning to murder people

00:01:10.860 the left has lost its mind and uh in the very real sense it is it is spiraling out of control very 0.93

00:01:17.840 quickly for a few days uh these people most of them had the decency to at least say things like

00:01:24.960 well i didn't like charlie kirk but you shouldn't shoot people and he's got kids and this isn't how we

00:01:31.660 should do things it's pretty weak it's pretty weak but at least most of them understood they should

00:01:36.720 say that unfortunately a large number of them a minority to be sure but still a very large minority

00:01:41.860 thought it was okay to gloat about charlie kirk's death dance on his grave mock his children

00:01:47.020 um but it was still a minority um the fact that they exist at all is terrifying it says something

00:01:53.860 about where we are as a society but you could at least pretend that most liberals even with their

00:02:00.460 half-hearted rebukes still felt the need to put out a rebuke but amazingly just a few days after

00:02:06.560 charlie kirk's death before he's even been interred uh these people are now just ripping the mask off

00:02:12.580 even people who are very mainstream have large platforms uh generally would be thought of as

00:02:18.600 people who should moderate the the the whole temperature here uh they're they're not doing

00:02:23.840 any of that we got a few days of we need to bring down the temperature but it was really only because

00:02:27.340 the left was worried that the right would reciprocate in any way because the left never thinks they should

00:02:32.960 ever pay a cost for what they do because they never pay a cost for what they do and like any spoiled

00:02:37.700 child who is in no way disciplined uh every time they commit the act they get worse and worse and

00:02:44.000 worse about it and it becomes harder and harder and harder for them to stop to be disciplined because

00:02:49.300 as anyone who's been around a spoiled child knows uh you know a child who's corrected often doesn't need

00:02:54.260 very much discipline a small correction will get it done but a child who is never corrected who's never

00:02:59.100 disciplined the minute they are disciplined they act as if they're being completely destroyed as if this

00:03:03.780 is insane they lose their mind because they are so used to getting their way and being able to do

00:03:09.600 exactly what they want to do they have no control over their emotions and that's really where the left

00:03:15.300 is right now you could see this at the beginning because even the people who said that oh well we you

00:03:20.060 know this was bad and you shouldn't do it they always had to caveat this with quite a bit of but 0.93

00:03:24.520 charler kirk was evil he was a fascist he was a racist and really i mean ultimately wasn't he kind of 0.70

00:03:30.560 asking for we shouldn't do it we shouldn't do it but wasn't he kind of asking for that was the 0.98

00:03:34.140 implication over and over again and uh these weren't ever really apologies they were never people who

00:03:40.300 were thinking deeply about where we are where are they going how could the left have gotten to where

00:03:44.960 they are and this is why the left is doing things like jimmy kimmel is doing they're lying about the

00:03:49.080 identity of the shooter because i mean what are you going to do are you going to admit like yeah obviously

00:03:53.360 we are the party of assassination and and political violence you can't tell yourself that so you have to

00:03:59.360 lie about you know every shooting from a leftist is actually done by a right winger and it doesn't

00:04:04.940 help when people like pan bondy go out and kind of insinuate the same thing so uh it's not exactly like

00:04:10.000 uh they're not getting support directly from somehow people inside the trump administration thanks

00:04:14.880 pan bondy really appreciate how you phrased uh a leftist attack on uh shapiro's house as actually

00:04:21.580 right-wing violence that was that was beautiful however uh the left is even for those few fleeting

00:04:29.140 moments when they pretended like they were not uh you know completely enthused by charlie kirk's death

00:04:35.780 even in those moments they could not really ultimately cover up the fact that they they

00:04:40.460 really were just yeah they reviled this guy and they're ultimately kind of glad he's gone right they

00:04:46.340 couldn't cover that up and now they're not even bothering to cover it up i'm seeing multiple large

00:04:52.000 voices come out and declare themselves uh supportive of antifa now we now have uh popular

00:04:59.160 leftist commentators saying i am part of antifa i support antifa's work uh which is a terrorist

00:05:06.260 organization that is planning to murder you and your kids when i found out my friend got a great deal

00:05:12.760 on a wool coat from winners i started wondering is every fabulous item i see from winners like that woman 1.00

00:05:19.920 over there with the designer jeans are those from winners oh are those beautiful gold earrings did

00:05:25.980 she pay full price or that leather tote or that cashmere sweater or those knee-high boots that dress 1.00

00:05:31.520 that jacket those shoes is anyone paying full price for anything stop wondering start winning

00:05:38.200 winners find fabulous for less they already murdered charlie kirk and they're gonna come for you

00:05:43.460 because uh what i'm seeing right now on the right is uh unfortunately a lot of people who don't get it

00:05:50.580 still a lot more people do a lot more people do and that's great uh but for a long time now uh me and a

00:05:58.800 few people like me have been trying to explain what was coming and this is not a you know victory lap

00:06:05.600 kind of video or i told you so i don't want any of that i want unity now i want unity on the right

00:06:11.520 because we have to defeat these people i don't have time for beef i've got plenty of differences

00:06:16.220 with people on the right those differences are still real and invalid but they're not the problem

00:06:23.860 at the moment the problem is is the left the problem is the groups that are trying to murder us

00:06:30.480 and we have to care about that we have to put our other differences aside

00:06:35.400 and the only people i'm going to push back against are the people telling me not to take action

00:06:41.180 not to encourage action not to wield power against the people who are trying to kill

00:06:48.020 uh us try to kill our loved ones trying to care the people kill the people we work with care about

00:06:53.400 uh i'm not really going to have any patience for that but for everybody else on the right 0.96

00:06:58.920 we're we're on the same team here but what i've been trying to explain what people like me have been

00:07:05.740 trying to explain is that we were heading towards a radically different form of politics of a type of

00:07:10.660 politics the people did not understand in the united states because they thought that history

00:07:17.060 was over conservatives really ultimately agreed with liberals they thought history was over

00:07:21.880 that really the the idea that politics has had for a very long time the mode of political existence

00:07:29.180 that has exist you know been there throughout history they just kind of ignored that and said no

00:07:35.200 you know it's over we just debate things we just vote on things that's it that's the end it's all

00:07:41.080 it's all the debate club it's all the marketplace of ideas we can work all this out now i want to be clear

00:07:46.780 here i want to be in the mode of debate i want to be in the mode of free speech i want that kind of

00:07:54.480 politics for the united states because that is the best form when it's available however we have to

00:08:02.200 understand it's not always available because and this is why i've been hitting this topic relentlessly

00:08:08.680 without a shared identity in the united states we cannot do that type of politics because you can't

00:08:17.420 just debate anyone it turns out it turns out that in much of the world and through much of history if

00:08:22.580 you try to explain to people things that they disagree with they will just hurt you

00:08:27.320 that's actually a very common response and in order to have the type of politics where you get

00:08:34.920 to debate over what you disagree with instead of fight over what you disagree with you need to share

00:08:39.940 a large amount of culture belief religion morality tradition understanding and these are things that

00:08:49.820 increasingly we do not share and because we do not share them we cannot do that mode of politics

00:08:55.320 and when you just try to do that mode of politics when you don't have the foundation on which it's

00:09:01.500 built it fails it falls over because anything without a foundation will collapse and what we're

00:09:08.200 trying to do right now is operate one mode of politics on top of a foundation that is completely

00:09:14.840 crumbled and can no longer support it i'm not happy about that fact i'm not cheering about that fact

00:09:20.920 i wish that foundation was still firm i wish we shared a common anglo-protestant understanding i wish

00:09:30.840 that we could speak to each other with all the implicit understanding that comes with a shared tradition

00:09:37.820 a shared morality a shared way of looking at the world but once one side is kind of looking to chop

00:09:44.140 the genitals off of children that's your hint that maybe you don't share enough to discuss things with 0.91

00:09:52.120 them anymore like if you are almost religiously dedicated to mutilating children as a rite of 0.97

00:10:01.660 passage for your political movement i can't really debate your political movement with you anymore we

00:10:06.400 don't share enough ground i'm not going to convince you with the power of my logic actually and you're

00:10:12.840 certainly not going to convince me with the power of yours and so when that happens we enter into a

00:10:18.120 different type of politics the one that existed for most of history you know the existential kind

00:10:24.480 to quote a poorly ended television show when you play the game of thrones you win or you die

00:10:31.480 now i don't like that form of politics i don't want to live in that era i don't want to go through that

00:10:38.340 but the sad news is that history doesn't ask us what we want that's not how things work every

00:10:47.820 civilization goes through cycles and our civilization is no different we are subject to god's laws as

00:10:54.240 anyone else and one of the things that you find throughout history is that orders break down if they are

00:11:01.920 not forcefully imposed especially when you've lost that understanding that shared identity that shared way to speak to each

00:11:11.940 other in his book thoughts on machiavelli leo strauss points out that machiavelli believed that in a republic

00:11:20.400 you have the best form of government a lot of people don't know that they think machiavelli was a big monarchist

00:11:25.920 because of the prince but actually he thought that a republic was the best kind of government but he

00:11:31.400 noted that you really need a highly virtuous people to have a republic the same thing that

00:11:37.960 our founding fathers knew and told us repeatedly and leo strauss explains that for machiavelli when

00:11:46.560 you see that order start to break down and it always will it always will in a republic when things

00:11:52.880 start going outside the lines when the virtue is waning when the order is breaking down when people

00:12:01.620 are no longer abiding by the rules you're going to probably need to go outside of the rules in order

00:12:08.020 to restore that type of government again it doesn't mean you're abandoning the republic it doesn't mean

00:12:16.060 you're walking away from your values it means you value them so much that you're willing to do what it

00:12:21.880 takes to restore yourself back to that place now i think a lot of people on the right are willing to

00:12:28.660 understand this now that politics has moved beyond the debate club the left has been wielding power

00:12:34.940 forever they have been silencing you getting you fired throwing you in jail forcing you to get

00:12:43.900 vaccines that don't even work locking you in your home shutting down your church stealing your child

00:12:50.980 because you don't want to mutilate them and at every point the conservatives have just been like

00:12:56.320 well you know we got to play by the rules we got principles and i got principles i have plenty of

00:13:03.740 principles but my principles are centered on taking care of my country and my family and my community

00:13:10.960 and my faith um my principles are attached to something they're not some abstract thing they're

00:13:18.820 not a suicide pact they're the man was made was not man was not made for the sabbath the sabbath was

00:13:25.320 made for man and so these rules and these principles exist to better the quality of life of the people

00:13:30.900 around me the community around me they serve ourselves in our posterity that's what they're for

00:13:36.360 they're not for us to break those people across the rocks of whatever principles we think we have

00:13:43.560 i'm arguing in favor of principles to be very clear but to get people back on the page of these principles

00:13:50.980 we're going to need to make sure the left knows there's a cost for what they've done because right now

00:13:58.400 the left is getting extremely radical even mainstream people are talking about how they support

00:14:05.760 a terrorist group in the united states if tomorrow conservatives came out and all said they

00:14:11.520 support the aryan brotherhood we'd lose our minds but democrats are just declaring openly that

00:14:17.000 they support antifa they're funding antifa with your money that's what's happening right now as we speak

00:14:24.060 and we can't allow this to continue guys we can't for too long there was just no cost

00:14:29.760 over and over again and everyone knows where this goes everyone knows where this leads

00:14:35.220 but still i see conservatives out there saying no no no no we can't take action we can't do anything

00:14:43.280 trump's going to be irresponsible you're going to give the other side a reason to do more to do more

00:14:48.340 than what do more than shoot you in the neck come on everybody knows where we are right now

00:14:55.220 we need a very very very very very serious response from the trump administration and i think they know that

00:15:05.220 i've received messages from people who are very familiar and say big stuff's coming and i'm glad

00:15:11.960 because it needs to it needs to come swiftly because what's happening right now online is getting out of

00:15:17.220 control leftists are justifying the murder of charlie kirk pretty broadly now they're they're they're

00:15:25.880 they're trying out the language they're seeing what they can do you know but they are pushing the idea

00:15:31.180 that they need to basically embrace terrorist organizations on the mainstream left and by that

00:15:38.480 they mean they need to start embracing the regular political murder of people on the right

00:15:42.980 that's what's happening right now and it's happening because they didn't pay a cost

00:15:47.700 they didn't pay a cost when they shot trump they didn't pay a cost when they killed

00:15:51.800 corey compitor they haven't paid a cost for so many of their violations and and their violence

00:15:57.940 burning down cities rioting they just never pay a cost never pay a cost because republicans are 0.99

00:16:06.340 cowards and traitors and liars for the most part and they will watch the entire country burn down 1.00

00:16:12.580 before they raise a hand to protect a single person that voted for them that's just the truth 0.98

00:16:18.960 we don't have time for this anymore i don't have time to debate with people anymore on this

00:16:24.960 i don't care if you don't like where we're at i don't like it either i don't care if you don't

00:16:30.960 like the description that i gave or other people gave about where we were going we're there now

00:16:35.840 so what are we going to do about it are we going to sit around and wring our hands one more time

00:16:41.540 no really we can get we can get back no you can't the rubicon's behind you whether you like it or not

00:16:50.060 now the correct answer here is legitimate state force under the color of law there's nothing that trump

00:17:01.100 can't do under the law that he needs to get done right now but a lot needs to get done thousands of

00:17:08.640 people need to go to jail they need to be bankrupted it needs to be impossible for them to

00:17:14.320 fund these people anymore companies like discord need to pay a severe price for going out of their

00:17:22.540 way to allow the organization of terrorist networks on their platform we don't have time to hesitate i do

00:17:28.900 not care about your pearl clutching charlie kirk is dead because we did nothing

00:17:35.440 i'm sorry i don't have time for this anymore

00:17:41.060 action needs to be taken a new type of politics is here and if we ever want to go back to the other

00:17:48.360 style of politics if we want guys like charlie kirk to be able to speak and convince people then we have

00:17:55.780 to stop the people who are trying to shoot guys like charlie kirk and that's going to take some stuff

00:18:00.180 that might make you queasy and i don't care too many people are dead too many more will come

00:18:07.840 if we take no action the blood of the next guy will not be on my hands

00:18:12.560 i'm going to encourage real action and i hope you do too

00:18:19.300 thank you

00:18:26.960 you

00:18:28.960 you

00:18:30.960 you
